This year’s Lantern Festival at Yu Garden in Shanghai was absolutely magical! The entire garden was lit up with vibrant, glowing lanterns that made the night feel straight out of a fairytale. Seriously, the vibes were next-level 🔥—everyone had their phones out, Insta stories were poppin’, and there were tasty street eats everywhere.
Yu Garden is located at No. 279, Yuyuan Old Street, Huangpu District, Shanghai, and it usually hosts the Lantern Festival in late January or February (mark your calendars!). Most displays light up from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, but pro-tip: get there early to snag the best photo spots before the crowds roll in.
If you’re planning a Shanghai trip, DO NOT sleep on this epic festival! It’s seasonal, so keep an eye out for announcements and grab a ticket through trip.com when it’s back. You’ll want to experience that magical glow IRL—trust, it’s sooo worth it!
