Hotels - Save money and stay at hostels or capsule hotels in the central areas
Food & Restaurants - Eat at every hawker centre you can (Peoples Park, Newton, Maxwell, Tekka Centre, Lau Pa Sat). Also try Nanyang Old Coffee, Tiong Bahru Bakery and Ya Kun Kaya.
if you feel like splurging, have a high tea at the Raffles!
Shopping - Orchard Road has everything from thrift stores (Lucky Plaza level 6) to high end luxury brands
