🇸🇬🚢 My New Year’s Cruise Adventure on Celebrity Solstice

Last year, I celebrated New Year’s Eve at sea — and it was absolutely unforgettable! 🎆
I sailed with Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice, embarking in Singapore and sailing through Koh Samui (Thailand), Bangkok (overnight stay), Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Ha Long Bay (overnight stay), before disembarking in Hong Kong. It was a 12-night, 13-day holiday filled with sunshine, amazing food, and total relaxation. 🚢✨

🛳 Smooth Boarding Experience

I arrived at the port about 10 minutes before my scheduled check-in time — everything was so smooth! No queues, no stress, just a seamless embarkation straight onto the ship.

🍽 Life on Board

Celebrity Cruises belongs to the premium-luxury category, and you can really feel the difference — from the friendly service to the refined dining experience. It’s all about relaxed sophistication and stress-free vacation vibes. 🌴🍷

🌏 Port Highlights
Koh Samui: The ship anchored offshore. Guests who joined the ship’s tours were taken ashore by local Thai boats, while independent travelers (like me!) boarded one of the ship’s four lifeboats converted into tenders — about a 20-minute ride.

Ha Long Bay: This port was so considerate — golf carts ran back and forth between the ship and the terminal until 11 p.m., even though the walk only took 10 minutes. 🚐

Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City & Da Nang: All three ports were cargo terminals, located 2–3 hours from downtown. The traffic in Bangkok was especially bad — it took 1.5 hours just to leave the port! We disembarked at 10:30 a.m. and didn’t reach the city center until 4 p.m. 😅
Thankfully, since it was Christmas Eve and an overnight stop, the ship stayed open all night, allowing guests to return anytime. After that experience, I mostly joined ship-organized tours — not only more convenient, but the best part is: the ship will wait if the tour runs late! ⏰

Overall, the cruise was an amazing experience. I actually enjoyed the onboard days even more than the excursions — the comfort, the sea breeze, and the warm service made it unforgettable. 💙
I won’t have time for another New Year cruise this year, but if I ever get the chance again, I’d love to join another long voyage and relive that magic. 🌍✨
