Parks by the Bay, Singapore

#SingaporeAttractions
Gardens by the Bay is a 101-hectare nature park located in Singapore's central region, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir.
Gardens by the Bay consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South, which covers 54 hectares; Bay East, which covers 32 hectares; and Central Garden, which covers 15 hectares.
The largest of these is the 54-hectare Bay South Garden, which features the world's largest glass greenhouse, the Flower Dome. Central Garden serves as a link between Bay South and Bay East Gardens, situated midway between them.
Gardens by the Bay is part of Singapore's plan to transform its "Garden City" into a "City in a Garden," aiming to improve the quality of life by enhancing the city's greenery and flora.
First announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the National Day Rally in 2005, Gardens by the Bay is intended to become Singapore's premier urban outdoor recreational space and a national icon. A popular tourist attraction in Singapore, the park welcomed 6.4 million visitors in 2014, surpassing its 20 millionth visitor mark in November 2015 and exceeding 50 million in 2018.

For such a massive urban public project, the final construction cost was only US$1.035 billion. This excludes land costs but includes access roads, drainage, and soil improvement.

Singapore truly deserves our admiration. Its spending is unmatched by most governments. Consider the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which cost a staggering US$545 million to build, yet its scale pales in comparison to Gardens by the Bay. #OverseasTravel #SingaporeTravel #SingaporeTourism #SingaporeTravelGuide #SingaporeTour #SingaporePhotography #City's Most Beautiful Night Views #Seaview
