Taipei: A Retro Coffee Shop with a Touch of Old Soul on Chifeng Street

If you enjoy a coffee space that's a bit retro, a bit unique, and not too noisy, then you'll definitely love COFFEE DUMBO, hidden in the alleys of Chifeng Street.

Pushing open the door feels like stepping into a small American train station waiting room, with iron window grilles, vintage platform chairs, and old-fashioned lighting fixtures. Every detail here makes you want to take a closer look. The atmosphere is special, not purely hipster, but with a touch of old-school toughness, complemented by dim lighting, making it perfect for sitting alone with a book and zoning out.

Coffee is the star here, but the desserts are not to be missed. Although their must-try is the cinnamon roll, I personally prefer the cheesecake that looks like candy packaging. The coffee beans are roasted in-house, with a stable and layered flavor that shows their dedication. The seating is limited, and they don't accommodate groups larger than four, so the space remains quiet and comfortable. The business hours are not long, so if you want to visit on weekends, it's best to arrive early to get your favorite spot.
