The National Chiang Kai-shek M

The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei is one of the must-visit historical landmarks in Taipei. The entire park is open space, the main building is grand, white walls and blue tiles, with 4 weeks of greenery, great for photography. The most special thing is the solemn handover ceremony of the guards held regularly every day.

Main gameplay:
The first stop is recommended to enter from the main entrance, through the vast Democracy Avenue, to take a photo with the giant bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek and the memorial hall building. Walking along the way to the main building, you can see the guards solemnly lined up to guard. There will be a guard handover ceremony every hour (e.g. 09:00, 10:00, 11:00…18:00). It is recommended to arrive a few minutes in advance and wait to enjoy the entire solemn and unique event.

Must check-in spots:
1. Main building outside staircase with blue sky
2. Vision of the main entrance of Democracy Avenue
3. Bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek in the museum
4. Live shots of the guard handover scene

Game Tips:
1. The park has spacious paths for a slow stroll, and there are many local specialty snack shops around, where you can arrange a half-day tour to feel the different sides of Taipei.
2. The best viewing location for the handover of the guards is directly in front of the bronze statue.
3. Lunar New Year or public holidays will be particularly lively, it is recommended to avoid peak hours to come, easier to take beautiful photos.
4. Although open until 18:00 year-round, daytime itinerary arrangements are recommended for more convenient viewing of the Guards ceremony.

Notes:
- The venue is solemn, photography is allowed but must be polite and do not make noise or disturb the work of the guards.
- The square will be quite hot under the hot summer sun, remember to bring a sun hat and water.
- Convenient transportation in the surrounding area, just exit the MTR Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station.
