Phra That Phanom

Phra That Phanom Chedi, a sacred and revered site, is located in the first-class royal temple, Wat Phra That Phanom. The chedi houses the Buddha's relics, specifically the Urangkhathat relics of the Buddha. It is a place of worship and faith for Buddhists in both Thailand and the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Especially during the Phra That Phanom worship festival or Bun Duean Sam, a 9-day and 9-night event usually coinciding with Makha Bucha Day, many people come to pay their respects and seek blessings from Phra That Phanom.
