Popular temple in Asakusa

Sensoji Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Asakusa. Is also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple and one of Tokyo's most colorful and popular temples.

There is a shopping street called Nakamise, the stretch is more than 200 meters. It leads from the outer gate to the temple's second gate.

Typical Japanese souvenirs such as Yukata, folding fans and various traditional local snacks can be found there. The admission is free and is open daily. The temple is just a few steps from Asakusa station. It's always crowded in the afternoon, it will be good to go in the morning to avoid the crowds.
