The Patuxay Monument, or Patuxay Monument, was built as a memorial to Laotian soldiers who died during World War II and the struggle for independence from France.
It is now a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Vientiane. It offers a beautiful photo opportunity. In the evening, there is a spectacular light and sound show with a fountain.
