🌟 How to choose between Wanning's two bays and one peninsula?
Shimei Bay ≈ village, fewer people and fewer attractions
Sun Moon Bay ≈ bar street, bad roads, don't go if not bar hopping
Shenzhou Peninsula ≈ large integrated community, more complete dining, accommodation, and transportation

👪 Who is suitable to stay at Shenzhou Peninsula?
✅ Only staying in Wanning for 1-2 days for leisure, not planning to visit the other two bays, blindly choose Shenzhou Peninsula, convenient for eating and drinking!
✅ Those who cannot ride electric scooters, the peninsula is walkable
✅ Families with elders
✅ Medium budget, Shenzhou Peninsula is hard for budget travel as food and accommodation are expensive

📸 Must-visit spots
1️⃣ Internet-famous Lighthouse
The same lighthouse as in the movie "The Missing Girl," the original is in Lingshui. Having visited both lighthouses, I think the Shenzhou lighthouse is more photogenic due to the extended curved riverbank. A must-shoot! It’s 2 km from the entrance to the lighthouse. Shuttle bus costs 10 yuan one way; it’s recommended to rent an electric scooter yourself (there is a short rough road at the entrance). Note: no restrooms on the way! There is a Mazu temple at the entrance 🉑️ for blessings.
2️⃣ Beach & Coconut Tree Road 🌴
The peninsula’s beach feels relatively fine and clean. The coconut tree road is suitable for riding a buggy car for photos. The buggy is hard to ride, be careful of tipping over.
3️⃣ Corona Sunset Bar 🌅
📍 Navigate to Sheraton Hotel, you can ride a bike into the hotel parking lot. It’s the best spot to watch the sunset among the two bays and one peninsula.
4️⃣ Fourth Bay Cliff Diving 🌊
📍 Navigate to Shenzhou Peninsula Third Bay ➡️ walk over a mountain ➡️ pass through a betel nut forest ➡️ reach the beach and walk along the coastline ➡️ climb over rocks (ropes available for assistance) to arrive. The whole route is about 3 km on foot, requires some physical strength and climbing ability. Bring a life jacket for diving. You can hire a guide for paddleboarding + diving + snorkeling, costing 200-300 yuan per person. Refer to @Xiao Zhou Loves to Play for a very intuitive video.
5️⃣ Qiao Hai Ranch
❌ Pure photo spot! Actually farmland + boardwalk, visually very boring. The online rumors about it being dirty and smelly are true, no need to go out of your way!

🍗 Must-eat & avoid list
✔️ Ning Da Coconut Pineapple Bun: super delicious! Crispier than the popular Mong Kok pineapple bun.
✔️ Chen Ji Qingbuliang: Qingbuliang is okay, don’t order the rice noodles!
❌ Hu Po Herbal Duck: widely disliked, ate twice, small portions and expensive. If unsatisfied, be sure to complain on the spot! They gave us duck heads and feet; after complaining, they served a pure meat portion!

🏡 Accommodation recommendation
"Grand Hyatt Peninsula," hotel directly opens to the coconut tree road and beach, close to the lighthouse, costs 1k+ yuan, better value compared to Sheraton at a similar price.

🚄 Transportation tips
❗️ Prefer taking the high-speed train to Shenzhou Station (10 minutes from the peninsula)
✖️ Wanning Station is farther (30+ minutes)
🛵 It’s recommended to rent an electric scooter on the island, off-season price can be bargained down to 50-60 yuan per day. Buggy cars are better rented by the hour.
