Great location, great service, great wine. But the Delmonico steak was tasteless. Please season it better! My husband had the 12 Oz filet which was better and my friend had the ribeye which was also good. But I feel slighted on the Delmonico. Anyway, ask for Chris as your waiter. He is PHENOMINAL.

We celebrated our family Christmas dinner early with our grown children and one of their friends. We had a corner booth which was great as we could talk and share without yelling. Service was exceptional. My only complaint and this was me was the quality of theTomahawk Wagyu steak. I was very disappointed in the steak; somewhat tough, large chunks of fat not petite marbling as I expected. However, this is the second time I have tried Wagyu beef and it did not live up to its name. Maybe its just me. Otherwise, seafood and starters were great, sides were awesome and three were enough for five people and we still carried some home. We will be back; and you MileagePlus dining points!!

We are lucky to live nearby so are able to eat here frequently. It has been our "go to" place whether it is for a birthday dinner with friends, special Sunday Brunch, or a casual date night eating at the bar. We have NEVER been disappointed with either the service, atmosphere or the food. Some of our favorites...Tempura Lobster Tail, Skuna Salmon, Brussel Sprouts, Key Lime dessert cup, chocolate cake, jalapeno corn brule, crispy calamari and shrimp, mushroom soup, french onion soup, oysters, scallops, ALL of the sides...did I say Brussel Sprouts? Yes, it is a steak place, but we usually enjoy our steaks at home, so order other things when dining out. Sunday Brunch, offers dozens more choices, all of them exceptional! Prime Rib, Bananas Foster pancakes, so many salads, eggs benedict, macaroni and cheese, bread pudding, and more things that I can remember, all excellent. Special cocktails? yes, please. And outstanding wine list. Casual date night? order anything at the bar, but we love to get a few apps and sides with a bottle of wine.

They have a great selection on wine and food. Its a little bit upscale but I love it. Staff is great and the food is prepared fresh and is of high quality.

My wife wanted steak and somewhere new for her birthday. 101 Steak fit the bill. Entering there was a large bar and booths around the wall. Also an enclosed private room with a setup for a large party and tables for parties of 2/4. When we were done and leaving the bar was doing an incredible business and all tables were full. The lower dining area had tables down the middle and booth seating around the wall. Very nice. Relaying to Ryan M that we were looking to chill with a drink before getting into the menu, he brought our drinks and some wonderful, light, delicious popovers. When we were ready he went over the menu. I was looking to try the dry aged steak and his help and knowledge was spot on. Crab cake (huge-no filler) for me, French Onion Soup (sweet onion taste with a rich broth) for my wife to start. Her Filet was so tender and yummy. My 40 day dry aged Kansas Strip was robust and nutty; so good! Jalapeno corn w/pancetta was amazing. Onion rings were huge; crunchy and you could take a bite without the onion coming about and the shell staying whole on the plate. We finished with cheesecake made in house topped w/fresh berries. Ryan gave us great service, the manager goes around the room making sure that all is well. When the weather turns there is patio seating that looked like it would be nice.

I have an American Express platinum card that sent me an offer to this establishment. 20% off $100 or more purchase. Cool, I’ll try it. Took wife and her parents for Sunday brunch. Bill came back and I made sure with generous tip to be $100 even. For some odd reason they billed me .40 less than what I wrote keeping them from honoring the $20 rebate. No worries, will not grace this establishment with my presence again. That being said food and service was good but overall not on par experience for what I was expecting.

I wanted to c lie rate my husband’s birthday with fine dining. It’s not his thing, but he loves a good steak. I’d been to 101 Steak with several pharmaceutical companies and enjoyed it, so I thought he would like it as well. The drink I had had was great. My husband ordered a New York strip and I order the filet. We had appetizers and sides. Crab cake was great and the house special appetizer was good as well. The star of the show, however, was not up to par which is surprising for a restaurant named 101 Steak. As soon as our waiter brought out the steaks, I could tell that the order was wrong. Calvin, our waiter, admitted that he accidentally entered the 12oz filet instead of the New York strip but placed it in front of my husband anyway saying!” You may just want to go ahead a eat this as It will take longer if I have to put in a new order.” Of course, I let him know that he would have to place a new order for the New York strip that was requested originally. I always get my steaks cooked medium, to allow me to enjoy the flavor of the meat. However, my steak was rare when I cut it. I tried to eat it, but I just could not tolerate it. I sent it back. When you are paying $200-300 for a meal, you expect even the small details to be appropriate. Bringing the wrong steak or not cooking to the request temperature would be expected at a place like Texas Roadhouse. Not 101 Steak. They did give us complimentary dessert, ut I am still very disappointed.

Reserved the wine room for a private family dinner to celebrate my daughters graduation and the evening was fantastic! Great food, fabulous service an amazing night! Thank you to the staff for making it special for every member of the family from 15- 79 everyone loved their meal!

We had reservations for 4@ 6:45 and were seated promptly in a cozy booth . Our waiter was very attentive, knew the menu and his suggestions were spot on . We all ordered app's or salads - I had the Beet salad which was a good size, nice presentation and very fresh. Our guests had crab cakes which they raved about. My wife had the Ahi Tuna - perfect amount and very tasty . I ordered the NY Strip -cooked to perfection and amazing taste ! Our friends had steaks that they were both very pleased with. We finished the night with crème brule - which was very good - our friends had cheesecake (the only part of the meal we did not think was up to par) We grew up in Italian households with good cheesecake bakers ) We were not rushed at all - I would highly recommend 101 Steak- we will be returning !

We ate at 101 Steakhouse on Friday evening for a special occasion. The large precut T-bone steak cost 120 dollars. The macaroni n cheese and mashed potatoes were both excellent. The egg rolls appetizer tasted good. Avoid the super hot sauce for the egg rolls. Go here if you are super wealthy and don’t mind spending 238 dollars on one meal with your family. This restaurant has great service and an amazing selection of alcohol with a good atmosphere and comfortable seating. There is a private dining room and two levels with bathrooms on each level. This is an upscale restaurant.

I recently had dinner here with my husband and a business associate. We live in Vinings and were excited about having a new addition to choose from that was a little upper scale without having to go downtown. This was our first visit and I was looking forward to it as most of the reviews have been favorable. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The interior has changed from the previous tenants (Social Vinings) and feels somewhat warmer and higher end. Our wait staff was slow to get to the table to greet us but we weren't in a hurry so I worked on being patient.....not my strong suit! Finally our server arrived about 10 minutes after water to take a drink order. We ordered 3 cocktails only one of which was off of their drink menu. The cocktails arrived about 10 minutes later. I find that entirely too long to wait for a drink and can't believe that would be acceptable to management as this is how you run the bill up! Nevertheless moving on we ordered an appetizer - Calamari which came out in a reasonable amount of time. It was good but in my humble, but accurate opinion nothing special. The other 2 diners I was with both enjoyed it! They brought out warm popover rolls which were light and fluffy and yummy! I could have eaten more but since bread is my enemy I only ate a half of a roll! The rolls were enjoyed by all! For our main entrees my husband ordered the House Specialty Green Egg Pork Chop accompanied by Collards and Pimiento Mac & Cheese. He loved the chop and the collards but said the mac & cheese was nothing special. Our business associate ordered the 8 oz. Filet Oscar style along with asparagus. She also ordered a side of mushrooms which was delicious and plenty to share. All of her choices looked delicious and she seemed to enjoy them as well. I ordered the Beef Carpaccio with house made chips and it was scrumptious and just melted in your mouth! It was the perfect amount for me and I would definitely recommend it if you are fan of this sort of thing! All in all the meal was good. The service left something to be desired in terms of speed and attentiveness. I'm sure this will improve with time as they are the new kids on the block. With all that said the prices are Buckhead high and they will have to improve on all fronts to earn the 5 star rating from me! I will go back for happy hour and have that Carpaccio again!

My fiance and I celebrated our anniversary at 101 Steak and we were very impressed. We'll be adding this to our list of Atlanta steak spots. We decided to share the 40-day Dry Aged, 18oz Bone-in Kansas City Strip. It was perfectly medium rare as we requested. As for sides, the brussels sprouts may be some of the best I've eaten and the Jalepeno Corn Brûlée was so good. We started eating this before we could get a picture of everything....rookie mistake! It's pricey but if you're looking for a good steak, 101 Steak is a great spot. You'll also get professional, friendly service. They pack your stuff up to-go which is a small, but very welcomed service if you ask me. Unless you're someone who can't have the corn touch a brussels sprout, why not let someone else pack your stuff up?

Don't let the name fool you! This restaurant can do it all. I walked across the street from the Hotel Indigo Vinings for dinner at the bar. Wonderful service, knowledgeable staff about wines and beers, and a wonderful piece of trout for dinner.

Food excellent, Staff and service was above any steakhouse I have been to, very unobtrusive and mannered. I prefer fish but ordered a steak in that it was a steak house. Quality of meat was good, but found sides a little heavy and over salted.

It's a good steak restaurant. Decent prices ambiance is good and the service excellent. Portions are fair. Good wine selection. Plenty of parking.

I was searching for a venue for an anniversary dinner and noted this place. It sounded good and we'd never been there before, so I made a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance. I'm not sure what a 'safe' window is for reserving (i.e., 1 day, 1 week, etc.). The restaurant is located about a mile inside I-285. It is in small plaza with other businesses and (I think) apartments or condos above. Parking is in a garage underneath the building. We arrived around 6 p.m. on a Saturday. This was still in the re-opening period, so tables were spaced apart, staff wore masks, etc. We were seated promptly and our server arrived quickly. Overall, the service was leisurely; I don't mean that in a bad way - it seemed like they wanted you to take time to enjoy a meal. I doubt people who come here are in a hurry. We were there almost 90 minutes. The overall vibe was dim lights, high-backed upholstered booths, and high ceilings; a classy place. The main entrees did not include sides, so those were separate. We both went with steaks, and were not disappointed. We also split a salad. The steaks were quite good - tender and flavorful. The sides were good also. We split a slice of cake for dessert. The meal was expensive by my standards, but that was expected. I would definitely consider it again for a special occasion dinner.

Stayed at the Indigo across the street and walked over for dinner. It was a nice experience and the scallops were amazing!

Had dinner here. Randy was our server he was spot on all the folks who served us were above Par. Hostess made our dining experience exceptional. The Popovers were fantastic in par with the Jordan Pop overs in Bar Harbor Maine. I had Tuna tartar for appetizer this was spot on . The margaritas were the best i have had to date. Had a filet Mignon For dinner it was perfectly cooked, and tender Our Dining experience was one of the best i have had. Prices are above average but well worth it. If u get a chance to go here Do it !

Visited 101 on my birthday for an excellent meal. Was totally pleased with the meal and service. Recommend highly. Freindly staff, manager involved and making sure we enjoyed ourselves. In Atlanta again we will visit again.

This was our first visit to 101 and we weren’t sure what to expect. I was traveling all day for work and still had jeans and sandals on and worried I’d be underdressed. I was pleased to see that they treated me like everyone else and even saw a few people in t-shirts! After all our money spends the same no matter what we’re wearing! Our server (Cory I think? I was tired) was so kind and helpful! I ended up getting a tickle in my throat that was making me cough and out of the blue she showed up with some herbal tea with honey and lemon. It was so appreciated and it did help! The food was fantastic! I didn’t care for the Caesar salad but that’s just a personal preference. Otherwise the rest was amazing! I had the 2 4oz filet medallions Oscar style and my husband had them with the demiglaze . Paired with some mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach, It was so good! We finished off the dinner with a crème brûlée that was out of this world! We will be back!

Met another couple for dinner during the week with reservations and was promptly seated. Tried various appetizers and all were delicious. Two different cuts of steak , porkchop and roasted chicken with 4 different a la cart sides so we experienced a good variety of the menu. Everyone was of the same opinion. Fantastic! We will definitely make this a routine.

I went to 101 Steak for a famiy gathering in their Event Room. They had a buffet that was amazing with a great variety of food! I loved the Corn Brulee. There was, also, a Carving Station with beef. The piece of beef was SO tender that I could slice it with my fork. The valet parking allowed for an easy entrance/exit. A great gem in Vinings!

So many Atlanta chefs claim to know how to so consistently deliver exceptional flavor. At Steak 101 they nail every dish every time! From the appetizers to the perfectly prepared entrees to the corn chowder side that will knock you off your chair..it's just that good. The staff is top notch, friendly and never stuffy. Lost one star due to a misstep in menu planning that resulted in being "all out" of the bananas foster gelato to finish our beautiful dining experience. Thank you for making our business dinner celebration an affair to remember!

We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my dad. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was fantastic (they even put on the auburn game for the birthday boy). Food was incredible with the mac and cheese being the best! Will definitely return when I visit again. Sandy

I was invited by a friend to meet him for lunch here. I had a dozen of raw oysters that were outstanding. Then for my meal I had one of their steak salads, medium rare. Cooked perfect and atmosphere was tremendous. Can't wait to go back for dinner. A real nice find.

We were from out-of-town so we were flying blind. Found this place on TA so decided to give it a shot Atmosphere is great, dim lighting, clubby, nice bar, quiet. Food is fantastic. Probably one of the best filets I've had in a long time. Cooked perfectly. Good appetizers and sides too. Prompt service. Friendly host at the door (maybe the owner ?)

We came in for a Birthday dinner. Our first time here. Used Open Table. Very friendly parking valet. Friendly and warm welcome at the hostess desk. Excellent service from Kendall. Food was perfectly prepared and delicious. Have already returned the same week. It's that good.

I went to 101 Steak with some friends about two weeks ago and had a great tenderloin. I was excited about having a nice restaurant in Vinings. We went back for dinner the following weekend and ordered the aged bone-in strip. It didn't taste like an aged steak and the end was filled with gristle. So far 50/50 so back I go for lunch this week. I ordered the filet salad. I could only eat about 50% of the meat again because of the gristle. I had to take some pieces out of my mouth because I couldn't even chew them. So disappointed. I thought it would be my new go to place.

I'm a bit of a food snob and dine out often. This place was amazing! Great attentive service and the food was so good I couldn't stop until I finished my filet. I will definitely be back and will suggest to anyone looking for a great steak place!

From the appetizers: house made burrata (tomatoes, kale pesto and basil) and the wagyu beef carpaccio (which I didn't have but everyone else did and loved) to the salad: sea salted beet salad and the main courses: either steak, chicken, or seafood... everyone loved what they got. Then came the dessert. We were all full but we couldn't resist. We shared dessert amongst ourselves and it was worth it!!! It was a seasonal item and it was delicious. If you're going out for a really nice meal this might be a place you would want to consider.

Stopped in for a glass of wine after dinner somewhere else- my only regret is not having dinner here. Did not hate being talked into some dessert - do it! Awesome atmosphere, friendly people, and a cool bar!

Very friendly staff! Impressed that the waiter when he greeted us, knew our names. Food was good, my only compliant was the portion size of the sea bass my wife ordered. For her it was the right size, for me, it would have been too small. Prices were on par for places like this. I didn't drink but noticed the drink sizes were small given the prices. A nice evening topped off by a complimentary rose. Some of the clientele were dressed nice, some in jeans and ball caps. I would not have allowed the ball caps but it is not my place so...I recommend a visit but be prepared to spend some money.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and great service. After a couple of beer( unfortunately no draft) we started with the steaks. Very nice and well cooked. If you are in in the area do go here.

We happened along the restaurant by accident and thank goodness we did. The professional staff took wonderful care of from start to finish. Expertly prepared specials and wonderful apps and salads. Great speciality cocktails from the bar. Do yourself a favor and try the green egg pork chop!!

let us start out by saying that special holidays, where restaurant create prix fixe menus are always hard to execute. Let me also say that I work as a chef in a country club and prepared all of the items that i will critique later. I solely prepped and cooked many of the items that 101 steak tried to produce, but lacked in execution. We booked dinner here as it had the most diverse menu, and as the others in my party did not have to work, and I did, they suggested to find something later around 6 pm. This is much later than most of the other restaurants that were servings in the hours of 11am to 4 pm. The menu consisted of a crudite of cornbread, pimento cheese and pickled vegetables. This platter should have been never been served as the cornbread was dry. Many people, including myself believe there should a small amount of sugar. There was a choice of butternut soup (which was very good), crabcake (also very good) and 2 salads, but with the Romaine ban at this time, they decided to make a Caesar with it. Why not change the salad to a wedge with bacon. diced tomatoes, green onions and blue cheese dressing? The entrees of turkey, salmon, pork loin and roasted leg of lamb. 3 of our guests had turkey that was dry and lacked the proper amount of gravy, though we asked for some later. The lamb was cooked to well done and sliced. As a chef who was trained about roasted meats, instead of cooking the leg of lamb to well done and then slicing. To cook to medium rare, rest, and slice, and if people want well done it can be cooked done. The lamb had a good marinade on it, but was so dry it was hard to eat and I left half of the meal. The sides we chose, were all dry except two. The corn elote was really good as were the sweet potato casserole. The cornbread stuffing was dry and lacking of moisture from turkey or chicken stock. The mashed potatoes were also terribly dry lacking in the proper amount of butter and cream, let along they were unsesasoned. As I said earlier, I worked 9 hours that day preparing food for guests of the country club. Our stuffing had a nice crust but moist in the center, the sweet potatoes were also good, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and fluffy with plenty of butter and cream to make them delicious. Over all I should give them a 1, but its about 1.5 as our server was quite good through all the problems. Would I go back? Yes for a steak, but never again for a special occasion. we picked this restaurant since it had so many 4-5 star reviews leading up to Nov. 22. Unfortunately for us, restaurants have bad days, and we dined here on a REALLY bad day.

My friend invited a group of her close friends to a last minute birthday dinner. This restaurant used to be "Social Vinings" and it was good then and even better now. The restaurant has free parking and valet. The furniture inside was very modern and had a continual flow throughout the establishment. It felt like I was eating at a restaurant inside of a magazine. The staff was very attentive and helpful with out menu questions. The food was delicious and well seasoned. I had the burger, my fiancé had the prime rib and the birthday girl had the shrimp pasta. Everything was good. Get the calamari and shrimp to share and don't turn down the bread (even if you're watching your carb intake). Drinks are also reasonable and the birthday cheesecake was pretty delicious.

Visiting Atlanta from Michigan for Mother’s Day and had a party of 11 family for the Mother’s Day brunch. Food was delicious but the service was the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant of this caliber. Rob was our waitrer and he was frankly neglectful. Didn’t take drink orders, pick up dirty dishes etc. We originally made the reservation for a party of 13 but only 11 showed. He brought us a check for 13 Then proceed to argue with us about the number of people in our party although it was obvious if he had just counted. This was not a great experience on what was supposed to be a special day.

Anniversary dinner first visit. We will return & not just event meals. This place is superb. The staff was great the ambiance was nice & everything was spot on well timed serving & the plating of the dishes was beautifully appealing. The steaks we ordered were like butter. It was delicious melt in your mouth burst of perfection. We also ordered a side of Bernadine sauce it was like silk, & paired so well with the perfectly chard surface of the steaks. We shared the Brussels sprouts & they were delicious, smokey, bitter, sweet, crispy & tender. Even the coffee was perfect. The waitress even heated our coffee cups first before serving the coffee in them. Our coffee was even perfectly prepared.

I had dinner here with my wife and daughter. The food and service were excellent. The fare is typical steak house fare with seafood on the menu also. I would recommend this as much as any of the other steak houses in Atlanta. We had the pork chop and veal chop. Both were cooked perfectly and had a good sear on the outside. The mac and cheese that came as a side was very good with the pork chop. The service could not have been better. They have a good bar and wine selection with many good wines by the glass. I will go back again. It is very convenient for those on the Northwest side of Atlanta that do not want to go downtown.

The ambience and service are impeccable! I would definitely come back for drinks with friends, but the food was subpar. I ordered the scallops and grits. Scallops were good, grits undercooked, and I could have done without the sauce. My husband ordered the New York strip and the whipped potatoes. Nothing incredible about the potatoes, and the steak was decent. The drinks were great though. Again, it’s a nice spot, but I’m not raving about the food.

101 steak is an amazing restaurant. We went with another couple and enjoyed every aspect of the dinner. Appetizers- the calamari is amazing! Friend had French onion soup that she said was top notch. Main course- husband had dry aged steak with truffle mushrooms- he ate every bite! I enjoyed a sea-bass special that was cooked perfectly! Sides- corn- just try it- and the Brussels were some of the crispy -est, most flavorful we have ever tasted. Dessert- chocolate cake and crème brûlée were perfect. Such a great experience!

My wife and I had a power lunch after a closing and were very impressed by the restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu was superb, with prices appropriate for the quality of the dishes. The restaurant is an ideal spot for power lunches during the week.

This 2 week old restaurant replaced Social Vinings. Very nice steak house atmosphere throughout. Our server, Oliver, was excellent. Mainly steaks but a decent selection of fish (my yellow fin tuna was excellent) and one chicken and a pork chop dish. Sides served family style. Bread is delicious popovers. Nice beer selection. Wines by the glass nice, too. All in all a very nice dinner steak restaurant. I recommend.

Cold smoked, and the grilled to seal it in,,, the best pork chop you've ever have. And it cooked on two Big Green Eggs

My husband and I went for dinner and a drink. Donavan was our server. He was fantastic and knowledgeable about the food and menu. The meal, atmosphere and service were absolutely amazing. Definitely a must visit

This place opened on June 25 this year (2016) and we tried it the third week of operation. The food was excellent...and service was impeccable...down to the removal of items from the table, Seldom do our wit staffers fix the "doggy bag" in front of us manipulating and packing under scrutiny and input of how to pack and what to pack in the container going home. We thought the service at such a new place was skillful, synchronized and unobtrusive. And the wine list is vast without overwhelming with choices.

Incredible food and service. We had reservations at were seated promptly upon arrival. We enjoyed cocktails and calamari with their amazing popover rolls while listening to live music being sung from the bar area. My husband raves about the dry aged steak with bone marrow butter, as recommended by our amazing server. My traditional chicken dish was delightful as well as all of the sides. Will absolutely be back.

Best steak dinner that I’ve had in a very long time. Service, food, wine list was all top notch. We will definitely be eating here again.

Steakhouse Wedge was very good. Homemade blue cheese dressing was excellent. We split the New York Strip and added a lobster tail. We had a loaded baked potato which was huge. Waiter had an issue trying to split it for us. Bit of a mess, but his attentiveness throughout dinner made up for it. The steak was very good. We had the layered chocolate cake with sea salt. Very rich, velvety and delicious--we took some me home to share.

Awesome steaks and service, I highly recommend this place. We have been twice in he past 3 months and don’t live in Atlanta any longer. But love the food and service.

Was excited to try this new steakhouse in Vinings. Nothing else like it around. Next time I will just drive to Buckhead and eat at a real steakhouse. Prices match Buckhead, unfortunately service and quality do not. Water glass was empty most of the meal. Server did not pour our wine. Food was ok but not great. I much prefer Chops for a nice night out.

been there a couple times now . all the food so far has been overwhelming .. great service .. fairly easy to get to .. parking sufficient ... Rueben sandwich ...really good

I can not decide what was better, the food or the service. We had a 50th surprise birthday party at this fabulous restaurant. Clay and Sean and another women gave the most amazing service I have received in any restaurant. The food was fabulous. My husband loved the beet salad and I loved the caeser. The brussel sprouts were so yummy and of course, the steak.....off the charts. The vibe in this restaurant is super cool. The bar is huge and they have live music on the weekends. We just moved back to town and I am so grateful this gem is close to our home.

Let me start off by saying that this place is a little pricey and not you run of the mill go to dinner places. Dress code from what i could tell is business casual. We were instantly greeted as soon as we walked in. We had made reservations for 7pm but being from out of town we got there about 30 minutes early. Side note plan ahead for traffic when making reservations in atlanta. They were able to seat us early, which is a positive but probably not always guarantee. The whole environment felt very intimate as we were seated at a small table for 2. The wait staff was super friendly and offered great recommendations. We were even provided an Amuse-bouche complimentary prior to ordering meals. Not sure if that was standard or not. My wife ordered a filet and i had a ribeye. Both were excellent and was cooked to the correct temp. Now for the sides please note that these ate big enough to be shared. We got the whipped potato, mushrooms and fries. They were also top notch. For me the garlic aioli which came as dipping sauce for the fries was top notch. We also ordered the chocolate cake for my wife. And it was definitely worth it. Just the right amount of sweetness cut by the sea salt garnish. So if your looking for a nice romantic dinner with high quality products this has to be a go to spot to try.

We are so thankful that this restaurant is here in Vinings now. It has a really cool bar at the entrance. It has an upstairs and downstairs dining area, we usually sit down in the lower level. Every single thing that we have ordered theirs each trip has been served to perfection. We have now gone five or six times absolutely everything from seared tuna, steaks to lamb chops, veal chops & seafood has been phenomenal. The brussels sprouts are some of the best I've ever had, my adult children ordered the lobster mac & cheese for a side and loved it, The béarnaise sauce is perfection. When you go to 101 steak know that you're going to have a fabulous meal. This is where you want to go if you want to have a great evening and a great setting in a convenient location and the ambience is beautiful. This is the downtown Atlanta style dining out for a wonderful evening sort of place, except for the fact that it's in quaint Vinings, it's a great restaurant. I hope you will enjoy your meals here . I say meals. Because I can't imagine only going there once. It is in our favorite restaurant rotation now.

101 Steak is one of our favorite restaurants! The atmosphere is nice without being stuffy. Our server was so knowledgeable about all of the menu items including the wine! Everything we ordered was delicious! The sides are for sharing & nice sized. A complimentary birthday dessert was a nice touch! If you want a great meal with great service 101 Steak will not disappoint!

My husband and I wanted a cool place for brunch. The menu did not disappoint. We couldn't choose between the crab or steak benedict so we had both. The service was wonderful, the coffee was some of the best we've ever had and that's saying a lot. We rode our motorcycles back again this Sunday for a repeat, but the restaurant was sold out for a private party. We'll try again for dinner.. Can't wait.

I attended a business dinner in this wonderful restaurant. The bartender made a great Margarita which was followed by a delicious dinner with the best popovers I ever had. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by very tasty side dishes. Service was very attentive to our group of 12+. Everyone raved about their meal. They even have outside seating. Hope to be back soon!

I live in Vinings and was really looking forward to having a good new restaurant in the neighborhood. This place was very disappointing. It was outrageously expensive for what we got. The steaks were nothing special. The service fair. They are way over charging for what you get. Management should change their menu make it upscale but not overpriced. People who live in Vinings want good restaurant options but we don't want to get ripped off. For my money, I'd rather eat at Canoe and get better food for less money if not more an upscale experience.

If there was just one problem, I would say our experience was average. However, there was a whole assortment of problems: not quite warm popovers, a funky tasting vodka and tonic, crunchy grits and over powering lemon on some roasted tomatoes. It was just problem after problem. And, when I pointed out to our waiter that my drink tasted funny, it was my problem. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and I don't mind paying for fine food, but the food ought to be fine. At the very least, remake my drink when I think it is not made properly.

We attended as parents plus four adult children. We live nearby and looked forward to a nice dining experience in this newly opened restaurant but there was little to like in the service, food, ambience or atmosphere. We left that night rather unhappy with the experience!

I was not sure how the restaurant would be. We were there for lunch. The menu had a nice assortment of various food choices, all with a very good description of the selection. We had french onion soup. Very good. Ahi tuna (yellowfin tuna) salad. Lightly seared, made perfectly. Desert selection really good too. We had the creme Brule. Large serving of that too. Bread basket was the real Sourdough french bread, toasted. I want to go back right now! Close to Atlanta airport if you have a layover. Has a full size bar, nice sitting areas, special rooms for larger groups. Rustic look and romantic too if you wanted that. Wait staff very professional. Our server was very helpful in explaining things and patiently waited while we decided our selections.

Four of us went to dinner here last night. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and feels upscale. The service is professional. Our waiter was excellent. The wine choices were varied and many quality wines were available by the glass. The steaks were delicious as were the popover-like bread. The sides were very large and delicious. The restaurant is pricey. I think I saw a $76 dollar steak on the menu, but there were other, more reasonably priced options. The cocktails were well crafted and delicious - and reasonably priced. This is a great restaurant for a business dinner or a date. We really enjoyed it.

I had the opportunity of visiting 101 Steak for a birthday party! It was a group of 30 for Brunch. It’s not overly crowded so you don’t feel rushed. The food was excellent: crab cake Benedict, steak Benedict, Pancakes Bananna Foster, and mimosas!!! The staff was accommodating. The rooms well appointed. Classy and stately! I whole heartedly recommend 101 Steak in Vinnings. It will be a hit regardless of the time of day. Very comfortable and inviting.

Had a business dinner last week. First off, the server Mercury was great, fun and respectful. Excellent seafood and steak selection. Really a steak cut available for anyone. Had east and west coast oysters, excellent. Shrimp cocktail was huge...more like prawns. Al a carte sides, good selection, too many to list. Had my favorite cut of steak, Hanger steak, which is very unusual because I usually can only get from my local butcher. One of our party had a Birthday and they kept it low key with a slice of cake but enough for the table to share...and a couple scoops of ice cream. Good signature cocktail selection also.

@TravelNTings #TravelNTings The family went out for a post Father’s Day Brunch and enjoyed these three steaks. This is a pricey establishment so be prepared, but the quality of steaks were good! We also had the onion rings and brussel sprouts (really good). The cook on the steaks weren’t all accurate so just do a quick check and the service staff was open to get it right.

We had dinner at 101 Steak tonight. I can not say enough nice things about the whole experience. The wait staff was top notch. Chris and Dee took excellent care of us. Dee was quite knowledgable about their wine list and made very good suggestions of what to order based on our comments of what we prefer. Chris took the time to answer every one of our questions on the menu selections and specials. He made sure that our daughter's meal was dairy free and delicious. Jacqueline was always stopping by to see if there was anything we needed. The food was some of the best in Atlanta. We will definitely be going back here and will highly recommend it to our friends.

So for a great steak at a nice place, we give good rating, but problems abound. We had to ask for bread, which is this gooey, crusty, popover thing. The crab cake appetizer came out cold. The house drink menu is pretentious. One drink was unacceptable, the other barely tasty. Do not order the Frutti de Mare. I did not like the texture of the pasta or the flavor of the sauce. The lobster was great, so get the appetizer instead. The onion rings were great with the steak, but the sauces served with them were awful. Best creme brulee EVER served with a grainy??? cheesecake that seemed past it's better days. Wait staff eager to please, but still a bit nervous and not completely educated on the product. At these prices, I expect much better consistency. I also expect that they will get there someday soon.

Nice private booths, quite restaurant to have a conversation in. Service was excellent. Brussel sprouts are great!

Staying just across the street at a local hotel, I ventured into this eatery (solo) for a good steak and a vibrant bar scene. Let's just say that the steak was delicious, but very little activity around the bar/surrounding area. Nice dinner/appetizer selections at a moderate price and the food was quite good and bar help very friendly and helpful.

Vinings has added another great restaurant! 101 Steak has really gotten it down in even the early stages. Last night was our second visit, this time with friends. The bar is fun and the service friendly (with some familiar faces). The drinks are wonderful. I am in love with the French 75. Service is impeccable in the dining room. The cerviche appetizer was served in a cocktail glass and was scrumptious. The beet salad did not do it for me but was well presented (and I did eat every bite) but would not order again. Our friends steaks were cooked to order and they liked them. The trout great! They have several seafood options and I would love to see more. The decor is beautiful and much improved from the noisy, cold, cavernous space that was the previous occupant. The space now is very warm and inviting. It is definitely an upscale fine dining experience.

We had both exceptional food and service when dining here with colleagues I had the scallop and steak special with a side of asparagus which were delicious but also had some of my colleagues amazing sprout side dish - just stunning! Love love love. The Yorkshire pudding bread accompaniment was also amazing. Service was impeccable and they were very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list - wine served perfectly also! This is not Longhorns, so expect to pay for the quality and service.

We are new to the area and looking for some favorites restaurants. We were looking for a nice steak. We chose 101 Steak as it had good reviews and we liked the menu! We had oysters for a starter. The oysters were from Canada, fresh and very good. For dinner we had the filet and sides we chose brussel sprouts and loaded potato. The filet was prepared just as we ordered medium and was seasoned well. The ambience was nice and cozy. As you walk in there is bar area with live music. It has more casual atmosphere. Great option for glass of wine before dinner. When you move to the lower area you can not hear the music. The wine menu was large with many options. For parking you can valet or self park in the garage. We will definitely return another steak!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! The popovers were light and delicious. We shared the Bone-in Ribeye and still had some to take home. The sides didn't disappoint either. The corn was slightly sweet with a touch of heat from the jalapeños. The Brussel Sprouts had an amazing sauce/glaze. Creme Brûlée was our dessert choice. Perfectly prepared and more than enough for the two of us (but we sometime managed to finish every bite). The portion sizes on every item were generous. The atmosphere was comfortable and not at all stuffy. Definitely will be back!!!

My spouse and I shared the 40oz porterhouse, tender, well seasoned (maybe a hair over seasoned) and cooked perfectly temperature wise. I also had the Brussel spouts and French Onion soup. The soup was perfect. My spouse had the baked potato and wedge salad. Our server Sean was knowledgeable and the service was perfect. A very expensive treat.

This was my 2nd attempt to dine at 101 Steak as my co-worker and I couldn't do so 1st time when we came on business trip (restaurant was closed fo private event) this time it was just I but what an experience!!!! From being greeted and seated to the last morsel - everything was just superb! The Hanger steak accompanied by grilled asparagus was melting in my mouth The selected Malbec surely did the trick The complimentary popover which was a mini Yorkshire pudding in a nutshell was simply awesome! Shaun (Sean?) - my server - went above and beyond his duties Thank you 101 Steak

This is a good spot for meat lovers all sort of types and good seafood too ( oysters, caviar, yellow fin tuna, shrimps) it is on the expensive side but worth it! Friendly staff and lovely setting.

We celebrated my nephew's and very close family friend here, and the food was amazing. The staff was excellent and the overall atmosphere was quite enjoyable. We were surprised to meet one of the owner's who there dining with his family. Very nice treat. All the entrees were incredible, and with large vegetable portions. The steaks looked scrumptious and were very tender. I selected the chicken entrée with buttermilk mashed potatoes and asparagus sprouts, which were off the chain. I didn't particularly care for the bread rolls, as they were slightly gooey in the middle and charred on the exterior. I prefer French dough or something similar. Desserts were extremely large and very tasty. The selections of wine were delicate and sweet, just like I like mine. Thank you staff and management. It is a little pricey with the bill for seven people over $400. Ouch!

101 Steak is a great restaurant in the Vining's section of Atlanta. Obviously the focus is steaks, but I chose to get a burger, which was excellent! For me though, the highlights were the other aspects of the menu. The six-sided pork spring rolls were excellent and served with sweet and sour sauce and a wasabi mustard sauce. The accompanying bread was excellent as well...similar to Yorkshire pudding I think...and egg yolk based bread that had a fluffy interior. But the star was clearly the jalapeno corn brule. No matter how much I explore the various aspects of the menu in the future, I will always order the corn brule! Nothing like I have ever tasted before. Interestingly, the corn was not spicy, despite the jalapeno in the name, so do not let that deter you from trying this delicious dish if you happen to be averse to spicy foods! And above all...the restaurant had outstanding service and great atmosphere, with pleasant patio seating that was perfect for a beautiful summer evening. And a free parking garage behind the restaurant.

Went to 101 Steak to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. Can say without any doubt that this was one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had! Loved the ambiance, the staff, the drinks, the food and the service! Big "thanks" and a shout out to: -Chris, our server, who was so friendly and attentive. -Christian, our bartender, who made the best drinks I think we ever had. -The Chefs and other wait staff -John, the Manager who went out of his way to make us feel welcome -Our hostess (sorry, didn't get her name but a lovely and welcoming young woman Now, regarding the food...simply incredible starting with freshly baked parmesan crusted bread and french onion soup! I had a tomato/onion salad that was so good! For the main course (which can be anything from steak, to seafood, etc.) we selected the dry-aged bone-in ribeye. The only hick-up was that I had to send my steak back to have it cooked a little more. They did this without hesitation and John, the Manager personally brought it back to me to make sure it was prepared to my liking (which it was). The steak was flavorful, tender and so tasty. We also ordered the grilled asparagus, pimento mac and cheese with bacon and herb roasted mushrooms. So delicious! And to top it off, John provided free desert as a thank you for celebrating our anniversary with them. Look, I have had good cheesecake in NY and elsewhere but their's has to be the best I ever had. We asked for the pastry chef to come out to personally thank him for this incredible desert and discovered it was his Grandmother's recipe. We also had chocolate cake that was to die for as well. All I can say is that if you are looking for a great restaurant and a special place to celebrate something, go to 101 Steak. You will not be disappointed!

Husband and I live nearby and had wanted to try this place since it opened. We tried them on a weeknight, thinking they be less busy. It was not busy bur service was slow and food was unremarkable. Charcuterie plate had. No cheese or olives and had some really funky lamb sausage. We had to send our "40oz porterhouse for 2" back because it was undercooked. We also suspect it was nowhere near 40 oz. It was served sliced, which seemed odd, and allowed the juices to drain out. Let meat rest! Sides were not hot. Manager comped us free desserts but we didn't even eat them. For price paid, this restaurant was not worth it.

I had the flank steak and mash potatoes with the Pinot Noir. Steak medium rare .. came a bit on the safe side. I ate on the patio which was very nice except for the bugs. Several layers of staff were present. They want to make things right. I asked for a steak sauce or ague. I ended up with a combo sauce of 51 sauce and the ague. It was ok. It would have been better if it was heated. They have not quite gotten the attention to detail down yet but they are trying. The hosted took the time to walk me through the menu. I will come back to try more of the menu. Local and good is nice but what if it could become local and great ? I may try desert.

Good selection of food that is fresh and well prepared. Prices are very steep, and for a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect service to be outstanding. Our server never checked on us, the service was very slow to almost non exsistant and the food was brought to the table in bits and pieces. Long wait to get check. Was disappointed.

Loved the romantic ambiance and location. Customer service is superb from Valet, hostess to the waitress. We ordered the filet petite, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and the calamari with shrimp which was delicious. The muffin bread they bring out is sooooo soft and good. I highly recommend the calamari and shrimp. We asked for our steak to be well done which turned out to be burnt, which was disappointing. Other than that, everything was great. I would recommend this restaurant. A little pricey but can be worth it.

3 strikes, you're out! As locals, we really wanted this place to do well, and after our first meal (which was fantastic), we were eager to spread the word to our friends and family in the area. Unfortunately, when we returned with our family, it was one of the worst restaurant experiences of our time in Atlanta (and the most expensive). Our reservation was around 6, so the restaurant was barely crowded and yet we were sat in the front side room instead of a requested table in the main room. Not a big deal, but still frustrating as we wanted our family to experience the best ambiance after raving about it (the hostess blamed the error on us instead of accommodating us--classy). Next, it took over 45 minutes for our meals to come out and when the steaks finally did arrive, they were overcooked and cold. At that point, we all looked at each other and asked whether we send it back, or just shove it down since we were starving and already pretty frustrated. We ultimately decided to eat the cold meat rather than wait another hour. This is just unacceptable for a restaurant with the word STEAK in its name, particularly in light of the steep prices ($48 cheapest steak on the menu--mini filet). We notified the management, and they apologized and offered to remove the appetizers from our bill which was nice, albeit an extremely small condolence in light of their steak prices. In addition to the poor steaks, lights were flickering on and off (completely off at one point), service was slow, and the poor waitress dropped her glasses on the table next to us, shattering the glasses all over the floor. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and underprepared for the crowd that slowly came in on a normal Saturday evening. Last, we decided to order a dessert before leaving. After waiting 20 minutes for a single dessert to come out, we once again had to interrupt our meal to find a manager and complain. We were told the apple crisp was "baking" and as a result, it would be coming out soon. Well, the apple crisp that was allegedly baking for 20+ minutes eventually came out, but as you may guess, it came out ice cold. All in all, a wasted $400+ meal. To top it off, the valet outside the restaurant openly admitted he was high and yelled "Boobies!" as we took a group picture to remember the worst dining experience we've had in Atlanta. The last and final strike came after speaking with top management the following day, who apologized and stated it was clearly a bad night for them and to come back and give them another try. I explained that I wouldn't gamble $400 more dollars for a cold meal and to be accosted by a valet driver under the influence. He offered to send us gift cards for a meal on them to give it another go. We thought that was a very nice gesture; however, over a month later, we still haven't received anything in the mail. Poor service, dishonest management. Go spend your hard-earned money at a restaurant that strives to earn it.

My husband and I wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate a new client. We chose 101 Steak, because it's near our home and we had never been there before. Plus, we really wanted a big ol' hunk of red meat and you gotta go to a steakhouse if you want a good one. So we made a reservation and got spiffed up to go out! Besides the slightly confusing walk from the parking deck to the front door, EVERYTHING was fantastic. I don't use that term loosely either. The greeting from the lovely hostess and the General Manager at the front door was friendly. We immediately noticed that the lighting was pretty much perfect. For some reason we're both lighting dorks -- truly it can impact our experience if it's too bright or too dark, or if there are big holes in the lighting. But the lighting here is wonderfully even and at the perfect level. We were seated at a banquette deuce and greeted by our server Cory. He's one of those guys you can tell has been in the business for years and he's great at what he does. I mean, the service was perfect in every way. He's knowledgable about the menu items, he will offer an opinion, and he was happy to decant our wine and engage us in conversation. (We're pretty chatty diners) The food -- THE FOOD!! We shared a Caesar salad (sans the anchovies) as our first, and we each got the 8-ounce filet. I added Bernaise to mine, which came on the side and was lovely. Very eggy, rich and just the right amount of tarragon for my taste. We each cut our filet down the middle and set half aside to take home. It took everything I had not to eat the entire thing, but I knew I'd regret stuffing myself, so I was a warrior and I only ate half. It was tender, cooked perfectly mid-rare and was wonderful paired with the sides we chose. And OMG the sides! First of all the portions on the sides are huge and we ended up both eating some with our meal and we had enough to take home for an entire second meal! We chose mushrooms to go with our steaks which was a great call, and the roasted brussels sprouts which came bathed in a heavenly ginger-soy glaze with sesame seeds. Note that we're serious brussels sprouts eaters -- as in we almost always order them out and we roast them regularly at home -- and these could be the best ones we've ever had. We shared a bottle of our own wine that we brought (corkage is $25) and enjoyed our celebratory dinner with not ONE issue large or small to remark on. I can see that going forward, this will be one of our go-to places for client celebration dinners!

The popovers - oh the popovers. Yum. I had a hanger steak. ( this is a steakhouse after all) Since I’m dairy free I had to steer away from the corn brûlé and the creamy spinach. We were served the sides family style. I did, however, indulge in the crispy soy ginger Brussel sprouts. OMG. They were SO delicious I went back for dinner by myself the following week just so I could order a pile of the Brussel sprouts. I actually ordered 2 and took lots home.

I give this 3 stars because I observed the valet parking cars in the handicapped and regular spots in front of the other businesses that were open. I like valet, but this practice of I inconveniencing others so their job is easier needs to stop. Food was okay, may be back.

I visited this restaurant with friends for my birthday! This particular spot has had several different restaurants, but I think this one might be a winner. First the food was excellent but it is very expensive, the Porterhouse was $99 we split it 4 ways which was fabulous. The sides are huge so I would suggest getting the Porterhouse and some yummy sides, especially the brussels sprouts. Oh the beet salad, perfection. The service staff was so good, especially Mercury. Oh and the amuse is a tiny piece of watermelon topped with some type of green, it was really interesting.

Everything from the service at the door, to the feel of the restaurant, to the quality of food and table service was outstanding. We are fortunate to be able to work with this establishment as I work for the hotel directly across from it. Our guests consistently rave about the food and service quality at 101 Steak as well! We had the filet mignon (amazing), mashed potatoes, white cheddar macaroni and cheese, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and the shrimp and calamari appetizer along with lemon drop martinis and espresso martinis - everything A1! We will continue to highly recommend to our future guests!

Nice place great decor/bar area etc. $300 for two ($100+ bottle of wine which was good) better off spending $200 in Buckhead. Stopped at the bar for a bit, no Makers Mark today. Sorry. Out of one other item at the bar also. Moved to eat, out of mashed potatoes. Really? Be warned, wife got the 8 oz filet. I was excited as she normally orders a 4-6oz elsewhere, so I was getting some. Nope, may have been 5oz, if lucky. Was only 3/4" to 1" tall. What a disappointment. $38 down the drain for why I could order from Applebee's. Lesson learned. Was excited to try this place and will more than likely come back sometime due to the atmosphere, but let's try harder to get it right. Did also take a long long time for food and drinks to arrive. Wine wait at table was over ten minutes.

Went here with a large group for a business meal. The service was superb and the steaks were amazing!!

This was our 2nd visit to 101. It's a high end steakhouse so it is pricey but a great place for special occasions. Pretty busy for a Thursday night. Had reservations for my wife's birthday. We were seated on time but too close to another table but was really impressed that we were moved to a more private table. Food is outstanding. Filet, scallops, popover bread just very high quality. Service was disappointing. Had to wait for drinks for a long time. Appetizer calamari was awesome but had to ask twice if it was ready yet. We shared a side of some of the best Brussel sprouts we ever had. Plenty big enough to share. All in all a good experience. Certainly not a place your want to go for a large party or with kids but for a special birthday, anniversary etc. I would recommend it.

I ate dinner here with a business group and it was just wonderful. We started with a Caesar salad with nice thin slices of Parmesan. The wait staff brought out these wonderful hot popovers with fresh butter. So yummy. I had a filet and they had creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and jalapeño corn brûlée as the sides. For dessert we had key lime pie in a cup, sort of like a pudding with a gingerbread cookie and I got some chocolate peanut butter gelato. Everyone was very nice and attentitive and the food was just superb. This restaurant is a credit to the Vinings community and I will definitely come back and bring lots of people with me!

We had a wonderful meal. The service was great, they handled our group expertly and all the food was wonderful. My only complaint would be that we asked for extra side orders and discovered later that they charged for them. We hardly ate from the second serving. They should have told us what the cost would be. We assumed the sides were all you want. Other than that, everything was a bit expensive but wonderful.

I had to try this place across the street from where I work. Had the steak salad and ate outside for the first time this summer it was nice. Excellent food but very expensive. Great service and atmosphere

Excellent service and great food. Must have the steak with the Chimichurri sauce. Great liquor list.

On Father’s Day we were first time diners at 101 Steak, but we will be back! The service was top notch, from the valet, to the hostess (who gave us recommendations of her favorite food!), to the waitress. We enjoyed the dry aged, bone-in ribeye and the sea scallop dinner with two sides: the loaded baked potato and the braised greens. I just finished our leftovers today for lunch. YUM. They serve dinner with delicious popovers, and I may come back just for those ; ) We enjoyed a Sonoma cabernet by the glass, which came to the same amount if we had bought the bottle (thanks for that!) and some chocolate cake for dessert. SOOOO GOOD. This is a lovely place with a menu of delicious food at reasonable prices.

Courteous generous a bit pricey but worth it. Service was excellent, food was fresh bread was exceptionally impressive. Enjoyed everything...

This Buffet was awesome... so many options! Peel and eat shrimp that were huge, prime rib, bananas foster French toast, shrimp and grits, fruit, cheese and it goes on and on... FABULOUS! If there Buffet is 1/2 as good as their menu, I would run back to this place. See you soon 101 Steak!!!

This is more than just a steakhouse. The menu has other selections of protein & the Brussel sprouts as divine the steaks are cooked to perfection, the brenaise sauce is served at the perfect temperature, They even heat the coffee cups with hot water before serving your coffee & it is perfection when served. We recently went for a spur of the moment celebration for my husbands achievement & this is where we decided to go for a great dining experience. This has become our favorite place for celebrations now.

Had heard good reviews but had never eaten there. We were impressed. Everything was cooked to perfection. It is pricey but a good. Steaks cooked to perfection and the baked potato was awesome. Large portions and worth the the price.

By far one of the best I have dealt with , private dinner at the restaurant for 25 , service was stellar , food was better .. the following day we had them cater a lunch at the office for the same 25 folks , again .. service was stellar , lunch menu that was served was commented on by everyone .. get the chance go ... Rueben sandwich .. corn with pancetta and jalapenos .. WOW
fantastic evening
large party of around 15 adults and children evacuated from sc due to hurricane.None of us really had the correct dress for such a lovely place to eat but when we explained our situation we were warmly welcomed and treated like royalty. The food was wonderful as was the service and there is not a single thing i could find fault with a truly wonderful experience thankyou.
