Really good

By Jillybackpack |

My bf and I went to 10 Barrel for a beer and something small to eat. He had the trail beer and really liked it. I had the raspberry crush. It was super sour and tasty. We had the nachos con queso with chorizo. Super yummy.

Meh

By Jennifer B |

Stopped by there yesterday to try some of their beers. I travel frequently and all over the country for beer so I was excited to go here. Womp womp. The only flight you can get is their predesignated flight of 10 beers, which is ridiculous and contained maybe three I was remotely interested in trying. But, I ordered it and, three beers in, I wished I hadn’t. Of all 10 there was only one that stood out to me (Slightly Overcast.) The rest were mediocre at best and one was downright god awful (Black Sage.) With 75+ breweries in town and several in the same area, skip this one and go where you can get flights of what you actually want to try... and beers that are actually good.

Great taster option

By chumsockeyesalmon |

You get to sample 10 beers for $10 and they are 3 - 4 oz pours. They choose, but it is a great way to try new beers. Busy place with a full bar.

Popular place for pizza and beer

By Gregory F |

This brewery is very popular. If you want a table, go early or late or be prepared to wait. The brewery will text you when your table is ready. I tried the flight of 10 4 ounce beers. I liked half of the beers. The other 5 weren’t my cup of tea, so to speak. We ordered pizza and salad. Both were very good. The menu is fairly limited, however.

Cool, laid-back spot

By briannamoira88 |

I really enjoyed my visit to 10 Barrel. I'm not a beer drinker, but I knew that I would have to visit at least one brewery on my visit to Portland. The bartenders were very nice and efficient - they let me try a few options when I told them that I wasn't a huge beer drinker and I wound up finding one that I really liked. The outdoor patio is a great spot to hang on a nice day. This seems like the kind of place perfect for large groups or low-key celebrations.

Service is top notch

By Andrew K |

We just got back from dinner on the roof patio on a Monday night. The beer list was plentiful enough that there was options for everyone. The beer was good and the sandwiches were very tasty (be warned the southwest turkey sandwich is spicy) with plenty of fried to go along. What really sold us on the place was the service. We were greeted right when we entered, and then forwarded up to the patio. Our server named Savanna was a extremely pleasant, providing suggestions when asked, kept our beers full and overall just a positive interaction. We highly recommend.

Rooftop is great under Stars, but not the sun!

By Momma Harris |

So, it’s a warm sunny day and you’ve been walking around Saturday Market. Now you’re looking for refreshment! We hiked up to 10 Barrel because of some wonderfully reliable references. This place did not disappoint on craft beer or food, but their seating on the roof was in full sun. Hot! No shade! So, everyone was trying to find a spot downstairs while the rooftop sat pretty empty... FYI We tried two flights and I’m no connoisseur of beer, so you’ll have to try this place with your own tastebuds! I can however, share my experience of having been there! Service was good, but a little understaffed at the time of our visit... Enjoy!!

Great food, awesome beer

By Jānis Baiža |

Had dinner with a colleague. Friday evening needed to wait bit more than 30 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. Ordered a picca - it was quite large and good in taste. They has large choice of beers and also more than usually IPA style beers.

Expanding Brewery from Bend

By egpws |

This was our second brewery visit in Portland and it provided everything you expect from a place like that. Only four points because it was very noisy when we were there and the attention of the staff was stretched a bit. But we felt welcome and of course the beer selection and quality are flawless. We enjoyed our food as well.

Great place to hang with friends

By Littlej77 |

Came here on a work trip to Portland. Loved the atmosphere and rooftop lounge. We actually sat in the inside dining area which was really open and airy. I had the chicken curry salad, which was a unique offering at a brew pub. It could have used a little more flavor, but it was still delicious and was a nice, light meal. We shared a beer sampler, which is great for those of us who can't decide. All of the staff were super friendly. I'd definitely go back if my travels brought me back to Portland.

Bring your passport

By Matty T |

Understandable that laws are different in other countries, but not when you're rude about it- we're Aussies in Portland for the first time- and we're denied entry, despite having valid Australian drivers licences. A government issued ID stating you're over 21 should be sufficient evidence at any first world bar. Not here. If you're planning a visit here bring your passport. 30 minute wait on a table so plan ahead.

Fun Downtown Brewery

By Susan Lundgren |

Great beer, great service, great food, great time! 10 Barrel is really stepping up their beer game. The Profuce Juice hazy IPA will always be my favorite beer by them. Thanks for the good time. We will be back!

10 for $10 flights

By MPtripletta |

Ten 3 oz pours, what a great flight. This was stop two for me, glad I stopped. G ood beers, I enjoyed many of them. Also had steak sandwich, wish. It wad a little bigger for the price. But, was very good. Very busy place for a Thursday night, bar was best option. Nice stop righht across street from Rogue.

All around a great brewery

By jamesn142 |

The selection of craft beer is fantastic. It is worth parking a walking a few blocks. Lunch on the rooftop is really great. A really nice overview of the area. The food is outstanding. Go for the Brussels sprouts and fries. Ever soooo yummy. The waitstaff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Tasha was so helpful and so very pleasant. A fun place to spend some time and relax.

Downtown Brewpub with Delicious Food

By OregonOpus |

Dined here for lunch on the upstairs patio, which was the only part of the restaurant open due to virus restrictions. It was cold in January but they did have outdoor heaters in place, make sure to bring your jacket. Staff were helpful and friendly, food was delicious. Food was served promptly and server was attentive. Started off with a pint of pub beer, and had a great time. Easy to find on-street parking nearby, with the virus restrictions and the vandalized war zone feel in downtown Portland, it’s like a ghost town.

Rockin' Rooftop

By Fish-Fun-Seaker |

We visited 10 Barrel on a hot afternoon and the rooftop deck was standing room only. But what a fun way to meet some locals. We enjoyed nice view of the Pearl while sipping fabulous craft beer. Most customers were lining up at the bar themselves as it was difficult for servers to make their way through the crowd. The food looked very good, but I was only there to sample the beer.

Weekend Goof Off

By Billbear56 |

First time to 10 Barrel. Better than I even hoped it would be!!!!!! Semi-rustic atmosphere, great beer and some very creative cocktails. Outstanding food. We had the steak and Gorgonzola nachos, two of us could not finish it. The flavor was unbelievable, the Gorgonzola adds a richness you can’t imagine!! The staff was very friendly and on top of it. They were quite busy and the staff provided excellent service to everyone I saw. Great place to go for a beer, something to eat and a fun time.

Wish we'd gotten something to eat

By boardder |

Beers/cocktails are at best, 5 out of a 10. However, the food that kept rolling by looked and smelled delicious. Bartender was awesome, but we'd most likely try somewhere else when the Hop's craving hits us

Nice Brew pub

By Ben H |

visited here for lunch and sat outside as it was a lovely day , staff were very attentive , great selection of beers and food at reasonable prices , we had the Steak nachos which was huge!! will definitely be back when in the area

Limited Service

By SmilynStef |

We intended to eat and enjoy some beers, but the waitress took so long to come back and offer to take a food order, we decided to just finish our beers and depart. Sampler is a pre-set list of 10 beers for $10 (includes one cider). Downstairs space is also pretty loud.

Sit on the rooftop

By metalheavylady |

My husband and I were walking around the city trying various breweries and this was one of the stops. The beer was good, but the salmon sandwich could have used a little more flavor for lunch. The rooftop had a good vibe and had canopies so the sun didn't scorch you.

Enjoyed a nice light lunch

By Arturo L |

Enjoyed a nice light lunch with some great tasting beer. We had a salad and the meatballs. Both were good. Loved the beer. He roof top seating was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I will be coming back.

All about the patio!

By LEAH N |

Last time in town we went here but were unable to grab a table on the rooftop. This time we went upstairs to grab a beer and wiggle our way into a corner by the railing. It was a nice spot to just hang out and have a beer while we waited for our table. This place is packed though so if you don't want a shoulder to shoulder in some spots, avoid. For food I went with a gluten free pizza and picked my own toppings. Easily better than a regular flour crust so I made sure to eat it all! :) Beer is good here BUT they made a batch of pumpkin sour. The waiter told me it was disgusting but being intrigued, I asked for a taste. Just avoid friends, you really don't want to know what it taste like.

Delicious !

By Sbrinkmetoo |

Server excellent even when they were busy. Atmosphere so awesome and festive. Delicious beer cider cocktails and food. So fun and will go again.

Truly unbelievable (in a bad way)

By Jill V |

If I could rate our experience zero stars I would. My husband and I were Christmas shopping Sunday, December 22nd. After leaving REI, and looking around we passed up Rogue and decided to have lunch and a beer at 10 Barrel. It was around 11:30 am. We were greeted nicely and asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or restaurant. We responded we’d like to sit in the bar. She told us to sit anywhere we’d like. Our choices were at least 5 (if not more) high top tables (that seat 4) and 3 or 4 large picnic style tables (that seat 6 to 8). We prefer a lower table and wanted to watch the football game so we chose one of the 2 or 3 open picnic tables. I would guess the bar was possibly 10% full (maybe a total of 20 people). We sat down next to each other so we could both watch the game and easily converse. Immediately after taking a seat, a different person (not the greeter) informed us (not nicely) that one of us would need to move to the other side of the table. She said it was a community table and they might want to seat others there. Wow, we could hardly believe it! After being told to sit anywhere, we were being informed our choice of table and our configuration (next to each other) was wrong. There were so many empty tables (including other picnic style tables) we thought we were hearing things. She left. We looked at each other and left. I meant to call a manager but didn’t want the experience to get in the way of a nice holiday. We ended up at RiverPig and had a great time. Great food and great service. Next time - anywhere but 10 Barrel!

Amazing roof top patio, good beer too!

By Chris |

The roof top patio is awesome, especially on a nice day. The beer was some of the better beer we had as well. Food was average, as was the service. Pretty typical service for Portland (ie not fantastic). There's a couple other breweries literally steps away, so make them all a destination if you're in town to visit some breweries.

Go to this Brewery!

By Jenny B |

This brewery was a bit out of the way for the hotel we were staying at while in Portland, but it was certainly worth the trip. The beer selection is excellent and food was great too. There was a bit of a wait and it was very crowded, but that's to be expected on a weekend. We appreciated the servers and bartenders recommendations. The bartender allowed us to try several beers before deciding on our orders. Definitely check this place out if you're in Portland!

Nothing too special, but good nonetheless

By wood nymph! |

Reasonably good experience, but nothing extraordinary. The waitress was friendly but failed to let us know that the restaurant was out of several of the items on the menu previous to our ordering them and being told that they weren't available. The Brussel sprouts were decent, as were the salads, chicken sandwich, and prosciutto sandwich. We appreciated that the side options included salad. We definitely recommend the Apocalypse IPA, which was great. Otherwise, despite the trendy atmosphere, the food just didn't entirely deliver.

Rooftop patio

By Periyata |

Great spot in the brewery district to grab a flight on a rooftop patio :). Good service and good beer. 10 tasters per flight - yay!!

Fun hangout

By Joe B |

Really cool restaurant to just hangout with friends or family and have an amazing beer and good food! We sat up top on the roof. Ice sunny day and had some wings! Great atmosphere. I’d definitely go check it out!

Decent beer, better food

By William H. Davy |

This place has a nice selection of beer and they do a good job of it, however I think the food is even better. The pizza is superb, but the burgers are awesome too. I had one with a bacon jam spread that was excellent. Everything that I've eaten here has been good.

Busy place

By Bryan K |

We went on a Saturday evening at around 7pm. As you can imagine, it was plenty busy with a 30-40 minute wait time to be seated. Once we were seated, our waitress was quick to take our order & bring us drinks even though it was busy. Our food orders came out reasonably quick & the food was good.

Nice brewpub, step above

By gregp422 |

This is better than the cookie cutter brew pubs we see in major markets. Better than average brews, food, and decor.

Good food and atmosphere

By 136smith |

A nice, clean brewery with lots of options for food (try their Brussels sprouts as appetizer- something really special). Staff is really efficient and friendly. Nice spot for either lunch or dinner.

Not the place for IPAs

By decljust |

Descent brewery. Large restaurant area. Large selection of food. Not a bad place – not really a large selection of IPAs.

Rooftop beer garden

By Dr Stephen |

We called here for dinner and drinks and were treated to a pre-selected flight of ten brews in a cool metal serving tray. There is inside (downstairs) and outside (upstairs) seating. This latter great on a sunny day / evening. My only wish (and advice) is to let me the customer choose which brews I have in my flight.

Good brews and service

By brmusicman |

We ate dinner here on a Thursday evening. They were one of the few breweries in the area still offering outdoor dining during COVID-19, which we appreciated—and, by the way, which was still popular! We ordered the beer sampler: ten pours from their list. Great way to sample what this place is doing, from lagers to IPAs to cider. The server was super-knowledgeable and helpful and answered a few questions about the types of beers. Upon hearing more about what we liked, he also brought out some additional samples, which we appreciated. Pub food on offer. The Nashville fried chicken sandwich wasn’t crazy spicy but was very tasty. The burger was solid. Fries were tasty. Nothing gourmet but solid grub to go along with the beer. Overall, a nice experience: fun beers, good food, great service. Worth a visit!

Upstairs outside floor and the downstairs main level.

By Macacorp |

Really like this place which has an upstairs outside floor and the downstairs main level. Staff are super low key but know their beers and are generous in offering samples.

Nice deck and beer

By herewego6366 |

This was interesting... had a upper deck which one could have a drink outside and watch the street traffic/people. We had food here. I ordered calamari and it was very good, at least the calamari that I got was lightly breaded and good seasoning...but most of it was the calamari little feet...yuck...for a Thursday afternoon again it was packed...lots of waiting.

Great beer

By Robert C |

This afternoon my wife, daughter, son-I in-law went to 10 Barrel for lunch. We were all more than satisfied with our meals. The one stand out that all of us enjoyed was their French fries. They were served crispy and warm. The brews that I had were terrific. I had a pint of Pearl classic. It is very bitter, the way I like it. Then I tried a chocolate stout. It wasn’t sweet. But you taste the chocolate. If there was one drawback it was the wait. So this place, each time that we have there, has had a good long wait.

Plenty of beer choice

By GavinWongUK |

Plenty of beer choice on tap, that has a roof terrace to enjoy the weather (when it’s good). Didn’t try the food, will defo be back over the summer

Great food, great service, great beer

By Balaena80 |

This has become one of our favorite spots, thanks in particular to the rooftop, and once again we were not disappointed. Just consistently delicious food and beer with friendly and knowledgeable service. We'll be back soon!

" Come for the beer NOT the food"

By Louise |

The autmosphere at 10 barrell brewing company is all open with a great roof top patio but theres where it stops. The staff is un-attentive pretty lazy and rude. The food was simply horrible right down to the basic burger. The other thing worth a return is a beautiful day on the patio otjer then that must say our party of Six all agree is not worth a return.

Nice place to eat

By David H |

A popular place on a nice evening with queuing a given if you want a table. They told us it would be 20 minutes but actually it was more like 10 minutes. Great atmosphere, efficient, friendly servers. Food was plentiful and good choices on the menu. There's no pressure to rush you out so someone else can use your table which is always welcome, especially in a busy place like this one.

Wow! That was a great FLIGHT!

By Momma Harris |

Mid-day July heat needed a little cooling off. Don't even bother going upstairs to the outdoor deck if it's middle of the day! TOO HOT and no shade (limited umbrellas and non at the bar)... Stayed inside and had some cider and a flight of flavor! Families, Friends, Functions! There's something for everyone I think...

Mediocre service and food

By lloydclewis |

Very slow service. Asked for a drink 3 times finally got it ourselves from the bar. Way over cooked salmon, tasteless burgers, uninspired sandwiches. No attempt made to correct errors and no dessert offerings.

Great time

By dw4boys |

We dropped in to enjoy a brew and we were not disappointed. Fun atmosphere and great service. Everyone had a great time.

Enjoyed our dinner with good beer

By relayer |

This place was recommended and glad we went. The food and beer complimented each other nicely. We started with the curried chicken salad, then split a PDX Pizza and burger. Very tasty and filling. Big place, plenty of room inside. It was too hot for the rooftop on this day.

Terrible Service

By KatAlberta |

Our experience was not very good. It was around 4PM, not really busy on a Tuesday afternoon. We had very poor service, almost thought we were invisible. The couple sitting right beside us at the bar was getting alright service. I eventually asked the waiter if everything was on the menu because we saw some interesting things being served. The server said yes, everything was on the menu. I then pointed to something on another table. He said it is referred to but it is not specifically listed on the menu. You just need to know how to order it. This was not very helpful. My beer was terrible. My husbands beer was very good. We were anxious to leave and getting the check was almost impossible. Will never go back.

Mediocre... Not as cool as they think they are...

By jefferylesq |

Visited here with friends while in Portland. The rooftop patio was great. Over the “hip” Pearl District. Clean bathrooms. Easy local parking. Beer - The two beers I had were very good. One was a coconut stout made on site. The other was an IPA that was solid. I figured the AB purchase would have destroyed he product but I was surprised to see the beers were still unique and worth seeking out. Food - Our group shared two apps and two pizzas. The pizzas were very good. The apps were mediocre, but they were $3 nuts and $2 popcorn so who really cares. Service - This is where the place failed. Our server was non-attentive and seemed bothered by any request. The guy running food was simply rude. It took forever to bring our first round of drinks. This place has a lot of potential, but it felt like the staff that were really cool for getting a job there and wearing the free logo shirt. If the attitude went away this place could be a 4-5/5, but the service killed the vibe. Next time I’ll go across the street to Rogue. Everyone seemed to be having fun over there.

Great brew and service, neat spot, decent food

By Sam DeLiso |

Great beer varietals, awesome location near several other breweries, hip ambiance with rooftop seating, annnd okay food. Huge fan of the 10 Barrel Brewing label and was looking forward to checking this place out. Had the Nitro Cacao Cream Ale (delicious, light, slightly chocolatey...sooo good!), Guava Cream Ale (a favorite of mine, so smooth and refreshing), and Vero Mangose (interesting, light in flavor, not as spicy as I'd hoped, still good). Also ordered the deviled eggs and fried garbanzo beans, both delicious! Had the special Pequeno burger with chorizo aioli and other savory sounding fixins, it was alright...very greasy, yet satisfied the craving. Wife had the vegan quinoa burger and said it was very plain, requesting BBQ sauce to flavor it up. Service was above average, everyone seemed happy and pleasantly did their jobs. They successfully dealt with our crazy seating request to accommodate our 7 month old 👍. All all, enjoyable visit... Will return again and keep drinking the brand! Thanks! Best, ~S

Been here twice, good beer, ok food

By FromAway67 |

This place packs them in. The food is just OK, but the beers are good. I have done the rooftop in the spring, and the bar in the winter. The bartenders are friendly and the selection is good.

Good Beer, Good Food, Great Time

By Gerry |

This is a happening place, even on weekday evenings. I tried a flight of beers and was satisfied with them all. They had this really good half-fries, half-homemade chips connection loaded with cheese and other unhealthy stuff. Our server did a great job taking care of us, although she had several other tables and was double-timing her steps to ensure all had a good time.

Nice tap room with decent beers

By WIA2014 |

10 Barrel Brewing Company began production in 2006 in Bend, Oregon, opening its first brewpub in that same city in 2010. The brewpub in Portland opened in 2015, and they now have brewpubs in Boise, Denver, San Diego and a second one in Bend. They are now owned by Annheuser Busch so they, technically, no longer qualify as a true craft brewery. The taproom in Portland is very nice with lots of wood and metal as is often found in newer or remodeled brewpubs. I drank a glass of the Fun Size session IPA which was fresh, crisp, light, fruity and juicy.

Decent

By captnlance |

It was totally packed and I sort of felt like we were being rushed through our dining experience. It's a cool building, really well done, but it was super crowded and excessively loud. The service was alright. The food was good. Standard pub fare. For Portland being the beer Mecca of the northwest. I wasn't that impressed with their beer.

Excellent place for beer and a bite

By Mei A |

We went here around 3pm, and managed to catch their happy hour. I tried their amazingly priced 10 dollar sampler which includes 10 small beer samples, ranging from lighter beers to stronger ones. Also tried their Chicken Lollipop which was not as crispy as I like, but their personal pizza and chickpea with cheese dishes were great. I think they have a happy hour on beers until 4 PM. Excellent place! Deschutes brewery is also walking distance in case one is interested in trying more than one Portland brewery.

Good pizza

By westley_evan256 |

The pizza is very good here, the beer is also one of my favorites in Portland and the ambiance is pretty cool. If you come during the weekend just be prepared to wait from 30 min to an hour for a table.

Busy place with great rooftop patio

By TT442 |

Its decent, and on the brewery block, but its over commercialized and lacks that neighbourhood vibe I prefer in a craft brewery. Try to get on the rooftop . they have a 10 beer flight though, so that was a plus. Service was adequate, attentive, and well informed on their products.I had a burger, and it was pretty good. . Very clean washrooms.would return

SLLLLLOOOOWWWW Service

By Phil K |

Overall my rating is lower based on the extremely slow food service. WOW - waited 15 minutes to take orders, another 10-15 minutes to get beer, 45 minutes for food and another 15 minutes for a check. Top that off with the waitress splitting the check up totally wrong. On the bright side the beer was good. Go to drink at the bar upstairs and skip eating here!!!

Best Patio on Brewery Row

By lmstrad83 |

This was the first stop of the evening before going out to check out the area. They were busy when we arrived so we put our name on the waitlist and headed upstairs to the patio. Excellant view of the city with good drinks. The wait seemed to go by quickly and we were shown a small table in the main room. The menu is small but has a little bit for everyone. The gluten free pizza was crispy and tasted amazing. Even my gluten eating friend liked it. The staff was very attentive and we were in and out in no time. Would recommend for not only beer but for food also.

Great beer sampler!

By Nicole S |

10 Barrow has so many great beers on draft. I highly recommend trying their recommended flight to figure out your favorites. There was dining downstairs as well as on the rooftop and the Friday afternoon rooftop bar was a blast.

Aweful

By Nicole23NY |

Service and food were aweful. Don’t waste your time, find somewhere else! Nasty hostess and servers.

Great spot

By Kim C |

Stopped in here a couple of times for beer and food. Great communal tables. Good conversation. Great beer and pizza. Have to try the chickpeas!

Not great. Experience depends on what you order and how.

By Irma D |

My husband and I love 10 Barrel but... we ordered a dessert and $50 worth of prepackaged ciders and sat in their outdoor seating waiting for our dessert when a waitress accompanied by two customers asked used to move to another area because the table we were sitting at was for paying customers. Needles to say that we we embarrassed in front of customers and asked to leave the table we had already occupied. We told her that we did order dessert and just paid for 4 packs of ciders and didn't know we couldn't sit there. She told us we had to move. I brought it up to another staff who said that he will bring it up to the manager because the manager was too busy. My husband and I are so disheartening to have learned the lesson that there is designated seating based on how and what you order. Our trip looked forward to this visit but will not visit again. BTW, thr customers that witnessed our treatment were very uncomfortable and expressed it when we walked away.

Nice downtown brewpub for lunch

By nitroused |

Came to 10 Barrel for lunch, had great service and a great turkey club sandwich. Central downtown location. My only gripe was no stouts or porters available! Had a nice IPA, though.

The Best Patio

By Kendell K |

I love 10 Barrel Brewing! I've been there both times I've visited Portland and it's my favourite brewery. The rooftop patio is incredibly cute and it's easy to just grab a beer and hang out up there (or get food on the dining side of the patio). The Pina Colada Sour is my personal favourite, but I've gone with other people who have raved about their other kinds of beer. I haven't eaten/sat inside yet, but it's big and equally cool inside so I wouldn't hesitate to be inside if the weather was bad.

Great Lunch in Downtown Portland

By NaplesMyHome |

Searched for lunch in the Pearl District of downtown Portland and came upon the 10 Barrel Brewing Company. We had a number of good meals on our trip but this was our favorite lunch spot.

10 Barrels brewery flights

By rologo |

A great place to have a few beers. Try the steak, blue cheese nachos. They are a great snack! Server's were quick, and very friendly.

Fun place for lunch and a beer on the upper deck

By Steve S |

We were taken here by good friends after hiking in the woods. We went upstairs and had a nice table in the shade on the deck. There are lots of choices for beer and tasters if you can't decide. My husband had a delicious hot dog with chips. I had a fish sandwich and fries that was really tasty. The service was wonderful and we enjoyed being in such a trendy feeling and enjoyable place. I highly recommend this place.

Love this place

By Ryanwineguy |

10 Barrel is the must visit brewery in Portland (and there are a lot to choose from). The food is solid and it’s a major treat if you can sit outside on the rooftop bar. They have an awesome selection of beers and the vibe is fun and energetic. The service is friendly and engaging and we always enjoy our time at 10 Barrel. My wife and I highly recommend a visit.

Strict

By cassie c |

this place looked really nice but they were super strict they wouldn’t even serve my boyfriend and I. we were visiting from Canada and they only accepted passports as ID which is very rare for American bars so we walked all the way back to our hotel (30 mins) and turns out my boyfriends passport is expired by one month (we don’t need to cross the border we use nexus), and they would not serve us, even having multiple different ID on us and being multiple years over 21.

Nice place with lots of people and good dynamic atmosphere

By Mieszko D |

Great atmosphere and nice staff. Fair process to book a table (waiting list and code on your phone). Nice selection of craft beer, food pizza (according to my friends) and great Portland Salad (has one myself)

Best craft brewery to date

By act0813 |

Second night in Portland after getting back from Cannon Beach We were hungry and looking for another craft beer spot. Got inside and got seated immediately in the shared tables. First off, server and service was amazing. We ordered our beer first and I got the Sampler with 10 different beers. Friend wasn’t sure between two beers and the waitress offered two small samples before she got a full glass. Which I was very impressed. It’s normal for most other craft places I’ve been but we’ve had to ask for it instead of being offered first. We ended up sharing food. (Amazing!!) Kale Cesar Salad BBQ wings Pie (half Jaca, half Big Baller) Ice cream sandwich ( must have) Pros - Atmosphere - Server ( super friendly and made us feel right at home) - Beer Sampler ( Pray for Snow and Boise 150 was my favorite) Cons - Half the pizza was super spicy, too many jalapeño pepper seeds on the The Jaca pizza.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

By beeps2 |

‘Worst experience ever. Do not go. They treated me like a third class citizen. Service was horrible. Very rude staff. I even talked to the manager and she was rude also.

Experimental IPA a MUST!!

By baaaaaaa |

Great Brew selection ... BUT after trying the Experimental IPA (IBU 30; ABV 5.7%) I was good. Try the others on a different day. The Experimental with just 2-row and C-60 and then hopped with Cascade and layered with bright topical and Citra hops. It works. Great brew. The Pulled Pork sandwich, with chips, was average and overpriced. But, can't go wrong with the beer.

Excellent beer and food

By KenwoodTraveler |

We went on a Wednesday night and it was busy. We did not feel like waiting 30 minutes for the rooftop, so sat inside. It was nice, too. The fight is preselected but offers a wide variety of beer. We shared two flights, each with 10 samples, for a table of three. We all had a number we liked. The food was excellent and they offer a nice variety.

Great food and beer

By Melissa N |

This was our first stop when we got to Portland. After a long flight from Texas, the beer flight hit the spot. It came with 10 beers and was great to share between 2 people. We also shared a pizza and it was so delicious! The staff was super nice and attentive. We sat on the upper patio at a community table with a couple other people otherwise there would have been a wait.

The rooftop bar was nice and the beers we're good. The gorgonzola steak nachos were amazing. The salmon I had was pretty dry.

Good Beer!

By Obiawhat |

We visited on a whim. We really enjoyed the 10 beer flight and the pastrami fries. Service was so-so and there were a lot of kids. Worth stopping for a beer if you’re in the area though.

Gold standard

By Sean P |

Honestly.... don’t come to 10 Barrel unless you are able to accept the best of the best.. the product that Jacob and company pours from behind the bar is unrivaled. Even in comparison with Portland. The variety offered at 10 Barrel will satisfy any palate. A quality product can be the norm in Portland Brew scene, however, 10 Barrel surrounds its product with a knowledgeable, caring, and attentive staff who is constantly positive and outgoing regarding their brand. Sarah is an exceptional example, making suggestions based on my likes of beers from other breweries. If you have only one night and you’re visiting from out of town with the desire to experience PDX, I suggest 10 Barrel 100%.

Best rooftop bar in Portland

By WineSnob7 |

Sorry that I can’t comment on the food, it all looked great, but we just had a flight of beers and they were all great. “I like beer”

Good experience

By AnnMayTravelling |

I had a quick dinner here and I had a good time. The service was very fast and friendly. The Chicken Curry Salad was very well seasoned and I enjoyed it. When I arrived (week night, about 7pm), every table was already taken and people were waiting for a free table. Anyway, I would visit again when back in Portland.

Great lunch

By Dolphinfan |

We had lunch at 10 Barrel during a recent vacation to Portland. We got to sit out on their fun rooftop deck. So great since the weather was fantastic while we were there. Thankfully, they had good wine in addition to good beer. Made both the hubby and I very happy. Food was delicious as well. We’ll be back when we come back to Portand.

Add to your list to visit

By JohnBrentwood |

If you’re visiting and doing the brewery tour I recommend not skipping 10 barrel. They are doing it well. Beer is superb. Service is excellent. Great job. Thanks.

Fun atmosphere

By Tantewitz |

Really enjoyed the sour beers here. Get Sunset Beach. Also had a good lunch. The nachos were innovative and really good. Lunch size pizza and salad was delicious. Their take on a club sandwich also super good.

Amazing Food AND Beer

By Loralyn C |

We came here mostly for the beer for my husband while traveling in town. He got the taster flight and was exceptionally pleased with many of the beers, which he is really picky about!!!!! I wasn't expecting general pub food since its a brewery, but we got the house salad with ranch and the scratch ranch was great, salad was fresh. We also got the pastrami fries which were seriously so delicious I can't even tell you. My mouth is watering even typing about them!!!!

Go for the beer not the food

By Bob34877 |

Ate on rooftop and bartenders were great and so were the beers. We were there around 9pm and they claimed they had great pizza. We ordered one and we both thought is wasnt that good. Also got the Beyond burger and was WAY over cooked and burned, took the kitchen forever to get the food out so was last call by time food came so couldnt send back. Fries are not good either, have that coating on them not fresh cut. Go for the beer only just saying!

Best pizza I've ever had.

By Caronltaylor |

Ordered the "farmer's pie". Service was great. The rest of the party loved their assorted beers. Neat atmosphere and friendly staff. Hope to go again.

Can't handle events

By markitiki |

The rooftop was closed due to threat of rain, so we were given the option to walk into the bar room for drinks. It was packed, which is always a good sign. We stood next to the same table where a couple flagged us down saying they were getting ready to leave- the same server that cashed them out walked by my wife and I at least 10 times without saying a word, until we took the table and he abruptly stopped us because they were moving the table for a special event. We found a corner spot and posted up there- my wife went to the bar and ordered 2 beers that came literally an hour later when we had found a table. Overall, I think it was just really busy because of rain outside and a Zach Collins meet and greet so can't fault them for that- but I also felt that the service and brews did not make them stand out.

Loved it....two times in two days

By OregonBob14 |

We enjoyed it so much the first time, we went back a second night. Great pizza's. Also....if good weather, sitting upstairs is fantastic. Really good service both nights.

Great Beer. Awesome Patio. Good Pizza.

By Florian H |

This place has good food, good drinks and good amenities. It is hard to beat. I love the patio upstairs. The table on the first floor are big and fit our whole party of 6. The pizza was really good. We will return to try more beers and more food.

10 Barrel gets 10 stars!

By philthesave |

10 Barrel Brewing was recommended by friends, as we are not from the area and cannot get their beer in Western NY. We visited this brewery for lunch and a beer tasting. Loved their 10 tastes for $10 – even though it was their choice of beers, so not all were beers I would have ordered myself. But the price was great! As was the food - We had the chicken sausage sandwich and a salmon pasta dish. Service was excellent. I would definitely recommend a visit here for a meal, beer, and atmosphere.

Must try the upper deck patio

By Neil_Ferreira |

Super cool patio on the 2nd floor. Great place to hang and enjoy the sun with a few cold beverages. The beer selection is amazing and all outstanding. Don;t know what to try - choose the beer flight, 10 pre-selected samplers. Then enjoy your favourite for the rest of your time in the sun. The menu selection is good as well with surprisingly good quality for a pub.

Nice place

By Jack8auer |

Great RestroBar with good food options. Lots of different options of drinks. I tried their flight of beer and i liked some of them not all, but good thing is they have different variety of inhouse beer. I will definitely recommend this place to friends

Tasty beer, yummy food, kid friendly, fun for everyone.

By Mark T |

The friend staff easily handles our party of 9. Our group tried burgers, BLTs, pizzas, and salads and everyone was happy with their meal. I had the BLT with avocado and fried egg, awesome! The kids meals arrive on frisbees, a take it with you souvenir. Good French fries. Wide variety of beers, two sour beers for the adventurous (French 75 beer is excellent). Friendly staff, good food, good beer, what more do you need?

Great Beer, Good Atmosphere

By Mevoyagr |

Radler was delicious, as is the black ale. Service was good, and the sour beers were clear and crisp. I’d recommend it.

Long to Get You in, Quick to Get You Out, Poor Service

By SC Wolfe |

Went on 6.27.19 with a party of 7. We understood up front, we would wait a bit for a larger party…We tried being good sports about it given it was Friday at 5 p.m. and just visit with each other…but a 2 hour wait?? Arrived at 5 p.m. After asking twice about our table over 2 hours, we finally sat at a table at 7 p.m. They apologized and offered one free appetizer for 7. We ordered quickly since we had plenty of time to review the menu. Tracy was our waitress. My uncle ordered a coffee which never came - we had to flag the waitress down after 15 minutes to get his coffee. After our food came, (Tracy never to appear to follow up on how our food was at all) we had to flag down the man clearing a table to get a side of marinara sauce (which arrived another 10 minutes after asking). When the staff noticed we were done, Tracy finally appeared. Possibly they were under-staffed? Regardless, a waitress who went out of her way to not pay attention to her table and 2 hours for what was identical to school-house cafeteria pizza, never again. The others had burgers which were fine, but not worth a 2-hour wait at all.

Great people and yummy food!

By Anna G |

Went with my husband and our 1 1/2 year old, the staff was super friendly and helpful keeping our son entertained. The beer flight is a great way to get a good taste of what they do. We also had the pastrami fries... oddly amazing!!!!!!

A good place to get together

By EllenChr |

A perfect place on a hot day is the roof top garden here. The beers are good, and the beer flight with 10 different types is really worth while. Try is together with a bavarian pretzel for a snack. If you’re hungry the nachos is very good.

Fun time on the rooftop

By NMfore |

Went here with some colleagues from work for a few beers. It was busy, but we managed to grab a table on the rooftop. It was a beautiful evening and the beers were excellent.

Cool flights

By Autumn M |

They have a 10 beer flight for $10. The flights aren't small pours either. It's a great way to sample a lot to see what you like. The atmosphere was chill.

Trendy Location

By Bugqueen |

The service was good. The place was very busy. Located in the trendy Pearl District the view from the roof top patio is delightful...if you can get a seat! Great plave to stop for a beer!

Decent

By Samantha H |

This brewery was nothing special in my opinion. The beer and food were pretty basic. The food was pretty heavy and layered with sauce.

Noisy but fun

By Paul_K_Oregon |

Noisy, shouty place to have a conversation, but does have character. Staff couldn’t have been better. Very patient and attentive, even with our complicated orders. Food and beer choices are solid, not a huge caried choice, but everything we ordered was enjoyed by our group. Highlights were the mussels and frites and the sparkling rose wine. And again, the service was great

Cool atmosphere

By julez182 |

Cool atmosphere and pretty good beer selection. The Cider and the chorizo queso were delicious. Sat at the bar and the staff were prett busy so it took a while to get our bill.

Good Food BUT Better Atmosphere

By jackiebr63 |

After coming from the 10 Barrel in Bend, the top deck here was fantastic, but the food quality not nearly as good. My husband wouldn't go back, but I would because we had a lot of fun meeting interesting Portland residents and the beer very good. I had a different sour that they was 10 Barrel brew and it was tasty a blend of refreshing citrus fruits. We ordered a pizza, and it was ok with their house brusselsprouts. Again I enjoyed it buy my husband not as much. The menu here also didn't seem to offer as many healthier options as the Bend one.

Don't go there!

By L Selten |

We first stood in line for half an hour to order something, when it was our turn we did not get a beer because our Dutch identification was not accepted.

Great food and beer

By KaiserVictoria |

Tried unsuccessfully to get a table on a Friday night, although it turns out the wait would have been shorter than anticipated. Did better on Saturday early afternoon. Seated comfortably on the roof on a passably warm September day. Our server, Aiden, was cheerful and helpful and seemed to enjoy his job. Always a plus. We asked to try a couple of IPAs before ordering and Aiden added a third he thought we might enjoy. We happily ordered beer and a shared pizza. Aiden volunteered that we could split the pizza between two of the pizza options on the menu. It was was generous enough that we had 2 pieces left over. We had them boxed and gave them to someone on the street who looked like he might enjoy them. Definitely a repeat when we’re back in Portland.

Great beer and ambiance

By Madison |

While we were visiting Portland, we spent one day doing a self-guided brewery tour, 10 barrel was our favorite! They have a huge selection of beer, something for everyone. The Pizza was amazing!! We had great service while we were here. I would highty recommend!

Great Time

By ISRAEL Z |

I decided to take the family to eat and have a drink over. Fabulous food and one of the best brewers restaurants in town.

Awesome rooftop

By ac3anderson |

Loved the beer selection, the food and the outdoor rooftop patio! Definitely a place we would recommend!

Good food, friendly staff

By Elyse D |

Overall we enjoyed our experience here. Ordered the beef burger and hotdog and they were both decent. The fries were great! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Also had a really cool vibe and nice aesthetics. Would recommend.

Great food, beer, and rooftop

By Travis L |

An excellent spot in the Pearl District neighborhood with an open rooftop patio with plenty of seating. The service was great, as was the food quality and the beer.

Cool vibe, good pizza and great beer

By coddiwample |

I've been trying to get here for three days but kept getting distracted by the plethora of pubs I was passing to get here. I finally got my resolve on and soldiered past the many tempting places and I'm glad I did. The upstairs deck is amazing. Good service for both beer and food and the ability to enjoy the fantastic Portland weather. I enjoy IPA's and they have a great selection. Get one. Any one will do. They are all good. The Big Baller pizza was very tasty and cooked perfectly. I'm traveling on business and came alone but the bartenders kept me entertained. I wish I hadn't taken so long to get here. I'll be back.

November 2020. Great night out!

By Tom F |

Enjoyed the service even with the covid capacity wait was pleasant with beer orders being taken while waiting to go inside. Food and atmosphere was good and beer was delicious! Will be back soon.

Great Beer Delicious Food Great Staff

By G K |

What a great experience the food was very good the French fries were something special. Try one of the beer flights. Overall a great time, would definitely go back.

Great vibe and atmosphere!

By FireDawg22 |

We met some friends here, ran into someone else we knew, and immediately felt like we were "regulars" during our initial visit! With great weather, the garage doors are rolled up, creating an al fresco feel. Lots of energy, great selection of brews, and an enjoyable menu. The roof-top deck is worth the stairs for great views and continuing your cool experience.

Fun atmosphere, great pizza!

By Megan W |

We had so much fun here! The wait was about 45mins, but we got lucky and grabbed a seat at the bar. We ended up staying there to eat dinner b/c the bartenders were so friendly and fun! The pizza was incredible and so was the beer! We would definitely come back!

Beer and Food

By Blackeel63 |

I’ll start out on the plus side…the wait staff and bartenders are very nice. Unfortunately that’s all the plus I have. The beer is boring; we tried almost all of them. The food we ordered was brought out at staggered intervals, and one order was incorrect. Food quality was poor too. There no reason to waste your time at 10 Barrel in PDX. We wanted to like this place but we just could not.

Obviously a favorite of the beer crowd

By margaretcov |

I have tried to like the place but alas the food to me, although trendy (lots of Kale), is mediocre. The flavors just do not go together well. Even the hamburger left a lot to be desired. Lots of stuff but no good sharp burger meat taste. However, the menu does look intriguing and the grandchildren liked the option for their size. The place was crowded even on a weekday and people were having fun. Perhaps, well, perhaps, I will go back

15 beers

By Daniel V |

The beer is excellent, they have a 15 barrel lines ready to tap. During hotter weather they offer a Patio sitting on the roof. The food is average for a brewing place.

Great rooftop

By BillyK1980 |

The rooftop is amazing! I was there on amazing spring Saturday night and it had a great atmosphere! The pizzas looked great and the beers were amazing! The bar tender let me sample many beers which was great!

Great upper deck patio !

By Paige A |

Go upstairs. Super spot to get some sun on a sunny day. Wine barrel tables on the patio. Great options for beer and be sure to order the chorizo queso. OMG! Amazing - a bit of heat but nothing overwhelming. Perfect with a beer.

Went for dinner with family. My companions even got a sweatshirt. My ratings below: Cauliflower-10!!! Margarita pizza-9.1 Parmesan fries-8.8 Bavarian pretzel-7.6

Great beer and patio

By Rasmonton |

Came on a hot afternoon for dinner and drinks. The rooftop patio is great, mainly picnic tables and some high two top tables with a large ‘sail’ providing shade. The beers are great, 5 star. Server was not bad but didn’t know her beers well. Asked about a suggestion for a darker beer with coffee flavours, she didn’t know one, even though there is a coffee/chocolate porter we discovered on the menu! Food was hit and miss. The veggie burgers and salads are excellent. Pizza was just ok, a bit heavy on the cheese for our liking. Overall we would go back, mainly to try more of the beers and enjoy the patio.

A must for beer lovers

By Mike A |

What a fantastic bar. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough to ensure they look after you. Beer is brilliant and the food is great. Highly recommend. The roof top bar is a great asset for the location.

Nice rooftop deck

By BrianOnVaca |

Although the rooftop deck is a little small it is a nice location. The beer was good, the service was nice and the food was ok. Went here with a friend during a work trip and the rooftop bar service was good. Neither of us are huge beer drinkers so the bartenders made a few recommendations which were spot on. The food was about average as I had a burger and my friend had a chicken sandwich. The rooftop itself isn’t huge and there isn’t much of a view but it is outside and overall a nice social scene

I Love This Place

By James G |

This is one of my top five Brewpubs. The food is outstanding, and their beers cover a wide range of flavors, so you're sure to find one you love. The staff is lively, and the restaurant is clean. I look forward to going back again and again.

Great beer, rooftop deck, helpful bartender

By fpathdoc |

Our first stop on our own walking brew tour. Really good beer. Bartender let us sample a couple others and gave us great advice about our brew tour plan. Beautiful rooftop deck with bar. We could not get in two nights ago--too busy. Worth coming back to try again.

Worth a return visit.

By jondare |

Good service, good beer, and great food. The Turkey Club was awesome - not what I was expecting. They had room for our group of 17. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be back.

Great beer

By ru_the_bear |

I visited on a sunny afternoon on the last day of a packed work trip. As a solo female I felt safe and a the place had a good atmosphere with friendly staff. The roof terrace is great. I tried two pale IPA style beers and both were great. I would definitely recommend.

My first stop

By Chris P |

This was my first stop after dropping off my bag at the hotel. They offered food and it was lunchtime. Excellent beer and the food was pretty good as well. This was one of Portland’s first craft breweries I believe.

Neighborhood brew pub

By Bucketlist47 |

Good burger with a flavorful IPA. Open and fun ambience. Service was OK, but not the most attentive. Probably a better experience if you are with a group rather than dining solo.

Love

By Rose Amelia |

We love everything about 10 Barrel -- they have such a diverse tap list that you can always find something to your liking. Their food is awesome too. Their pizzas are the best kept secret in town. But the real thing that keeps us coming back is the service. This is a place where you can tell that the staff love their jobs and enjoy interacting with customers. Check out the patio and find out for yourself!

A Welcome Respite

By katie m |

During our exploration of the city, we chose 10 Barrel for the second story outdoor seating. Our family really enjoyed the salads, salmon and drinks while people watching in the pleasant weather. The staff and other diners were friendly and it was a relaxing meal.

I love 10 Barrel wish I got down here more often

By Stephen W |

They have a great selection of beer. If Pearl IPA is on tap it is a must drink. Food is good. Place is usually very busy.

Rooftop Ambience w/ a Welcoming Flair

By Lea |

This was our first dinner when we visited back in August of 2022, and I think it was a great choice! There's paid street parking available around the area though it can be limited especially during peak times. We went around 7 pm on a Sunday, and there were plenty of seats available both inside and upstairs in the rooftop patio. We opted to go upstairs as we wanted to enjoy the fresh air, and our server greeted us promptly. There is a pretty good selection of foods and beverages to choose from, ranging from wines to flights and even salads to rockfish. We ended up ordering the combo pie, which has pepperoni, sausage, portobello, green peppers, red onions, black olives, and tomato, with 2 pints of local beer. The pizza was delicious and definitely hit the spot, while the beers were refreshing and needed after a day of walking and touring Portland. We would def come back on our next visit!

Spot on

By chop1987 |

Great staff, great variety of beer great location. Recommend! Also the music is nice to listen while having a beer!

A good selection of Oregon craft beers

By Kent O |

10 Barrel Brewing Co. offers a wide selection of Oregon craft beers. Of course, you can see the brewing equipment from your seat. And good pub grub, too.

Great beer, but huge flights

By Dan468 |

Just stopped in for a sample while exploring the area. Nice place & great beer, but the flights are too big for me. Fitting with the name, their flights are 10 glasses of 3oz each - the equivalent of two pints. For me, that is too much for sampling.

Great beer, better staff

By phrogphile |

They have a wonderful flight and fantastic staff. They had great recommendations and there was something for everyone with their beers.

Mr G

By Patrick G |

Had really good beer. Found it dark and noisy, definitely the younger crowd. We preferred the Rogue across the street.

Beer

By Elij51189 |

Excellent choice of different beers through their flight selection, 10 for $10 was an excellent opportunity to try many of their different beers. Would certainly stop in again.

Some really special beers

By Buzz D |

The decor is beautiful. Although we sat on the main floor there is a rooftop patio which is quite the rave. We did the 10 beer sampler. Exceptional variety of different beer flavours. The staff were very friendly and there anytime you needed anything. Our bartender was extra helpful and even suggested a couple of other beers not included. He chose well as the classic and apocalypse were outstanding. You can’t go wrong here.

Just nice to place to relax

By rmc1971 |

We stopped in for a beer and cider after meetings in Portland. The American Stout was a big hit as was their "house" IPA. The gal who didn't drink beer said the cider was "out of this world" good. We also had the brussel sprouts starter and the chicken "wings". Both were excellent to munch on as we debriefed from our meetings. I wish I had more time as the beer list was rather extensive and looked to have some very interesting items.

Average

By Karen G |

We stopped there for lunch and a beer . The rooftop patio is cool. Staff are friendly and the beer is good, large selection. The food was very disappointing. We ordered the steak and gorgonzola nachos. It was a big portion, but the chips were very dry and there was very little sauce. The dishes from other tables didn’t look very good either. I could visit again, but would stick with french fries.

Good beer

By ct-cruisers |

I came here while walking around the Pearl district . They have a patio on the rooftop, but it was 90f and not breezy. I had a few beers downstairs. I liked their Pearl IPA. Super friendly staff.

Nice Choice On Such A Winter's Day

By Randall S |

Picked 10 Barrel for lunch. Split a Portland Salad and a pizza with my wife--great food and lots of it. We couldn't finish the pizza, so they put it in a box for us (there was a homeless guy and his dog at Powell's Bookstore and, well, the extra portion was appreciated). As for beer, I highly recommend the Yuzu Salty. It's a gose-like kettle sour that sneaks a bit of summer into a cold, wet Portland winter's day. Also the service was excellent--attentive, but not too attentive. 10 Barrel is a warm and pleasant place to hang your hat (and coat) for a meal.

Inattentive Service

By LastMango |

We only went for drinks but were still disappointed. Service was unbelievably slow. The place is huge and packed -- I'm not sure why. There was a line up in the ladies room -- but that was to be expected when you realize how big the place is and there was only 3 stalls.

Beer perfection, good food, good staff

By utfiero |

Stopped in for some Lumbersexual- the bourbon barrel aged wee heavy. With 25 IBUs and 11.0% ABV, we anticipated a strong ale. But Lubersexual is so comforting and smooth…. “This will make you wish you were starfishing naked on a bear skin rug in front of a cozy fire in a cabin in Stowe.” An apt description! The loaded fries are crazy big and truly loaded.

Very good beer and burgers

By Justin F |

Came here on vacation based on a recommendation from a Portlander. My wife and I each ordered a burger (her the pubburger and myself the bacon jam burger). We are casual drinkers, so we decided to share the sampler which is a flight of 10, each about 2-3 ounces. The burgers were both excellent. The beer was hit and miss. 3 of them seemed a bit too citrus-y for our liking, but overall they all had a good taste. The darker beers were all excellent. The alcohol level is higher than your typical mass marketed beers, so be ware. Highly recommend making a stop and enjoying some beer and burgers.

Great beer and staff!

By BrookeS2312 |

We came to get some beers while waiting for our hotel room to be ready, the beer is great and so is the atmosphere of the place but the highlight as definitely how great the bartenders were! They chatted with us and gave us some places we needed to check out while in the area, they were super attentive from the start and very welcoming! A must-stop in downtown!

Good and not so good

By sccrref |

My wife and I enjoyed the roof top deck and people watching. Didnt really like the fact you could only order the preset 10 beers. My wife does not like sours or hoppy beers and would not have chosen several of the options.Got the nuts and popcorn. Ok. Queso dip though was very good. And while there were many beers one of us didnt like, we get each order a separate glass. Service was so-so. Not sure if would return

Great patio and beer

By Cubiz |

Sun, patio and beer! Great location to drink a beer, perfect place. The selection of beers is considerable and the service is so nice. I recommend this place if you want to tasty a piece of fresh spirit of Portland.

Great beer on the rooftop

By Ryan B |

One of the coolest roof top bars in the city! My colleagues were showing me a good time while I was in town for business by taking me on a little pub crawl and we stopped in at 10 Barrel to hit the roof. It’s a very popular place and there is seating reserved for people eating and then an open sections with high tops for drinking. We were able to push a few small tables together and had a few rounds in the sun with a great view of the city. The servers were great and they had some excellent beer on tap – really liked the Apocalypse. This is well worth your time to stop in and grab a drink on the roof – its right across the street from Rogue.

Hot day cold brew.

By Alan K |

One of many brewpubs visited in Portland and except for the heat we enjoyed our beers and wing appies. The rooftop deck was beautiful and we would love to spend an evening here watching the sun go down. So many beers...so little time!

Dinner and drinks

By Susan R |

Loved the pizza and drinks we had but the best thing was the atmosphere of the place. Trendy and open area with picnic style tables. The prices were decent and the beer was very good! Definitely a good choice.

Good beer and food

By tleeEvans |

Went for lunch one weekday, sat on roof top, which is great. Food is very good, and there are plenty of choices on the menu. Good selection of beers as well. Parking can be an issue, as with any downtown business, but there is street parking as well as some parking garages, you just may have to walk a little ways.

Nice Rooftop Patio - 10 stars for 10 Barrel

By Paisan P |

After a short wait we were seated on the roof top patio and it provided us with truly outstanding views. Our biggest challenge was selecting a beer. They have a large and really good list of beers as one would expect. What was a surprise was the food, it was good, really good. Our waiter talked us into the pastrami fries. We decided we were on vacation so why not take a bold leap with Pastrami fries. They were outstanding, crisp, a sprinkle of cheese and the pastrami. They were so good. We also had the salmon sandwich, cooked perfectly and full of flavor and 2 pizzas (Cheese & Pepperoni) both were also really good. Nice atmosphere, good selection of beers, terrific service, outstanding food and reasonable prices - this place is a must try.

Roof top lunch spot

By Vermont68 |

We had excellent beers and an excellent lunch on their rooftop. Fun to be there. Super modern brewpub. My quinoa salad with salmon was really tasty. Plenty of beers to choose from. Very good service. It was a beautiful Monday to sit outside, rooftop was full and we were lucky to get a table.

Brewing company with rooftop patio In the Pearl District of Portland, Oregon

By RSNN |

I saw the rooftop patio as I approached this place and thought that was a cool idea. Unfortunately we are having forest fire to the east in the Columbia River Gorge. So the rooftop patio was closed due to ash. This place has lots of interesting beers. and some merchandise for sale as you enter the place. Tables were filled due to all the people coming in after work hours. But there were a few seats at the bar. This is where I sat and ordered a pint of their SINISTER. It is a dark beer. A black ale. It is nice and smooth and cost about $5.50 a pint. You can see their tall silver brewing equipment next to the stairway up to the rooftop patio and behind the seating area.

Roof top in Pearl District. My fav beer 🍺 in Portland!

By kelleygirlA |

This was our first stop when we arrived in Portland and 10 Barrel did not disappoint! We chose the roof top seating to take in the beautiful day. We both had the Blood Runs Cold, which is still my favorite beer among the dozens that I had while visiting Portland. Cole was our server & she was great. She suggested the brussel sprouts, along with the lollipop chicken (since my friend wanted wings). Both were sooooo delicious! A definite must if you are in the Pearl. Will be back on the next visit

Went for beer, not the food and don't think the beer was that great.

By Brandon H |

Went here late on evening for beer and had the sampler. Not impressed at all. Beer is better across the street.

Great food and a Roof Top Bar!

By Fun seeker |

Our server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The flavor was great and it was juicy. My friend ordered the steak nachos with fries and chips. It was also really good. I am definitely going back.

Beautiful upper deck

By Nikki H |

We stopped in for a beer. The server and the selections were nice. The upper deck patio was too crowded to get a table but its beautiful. Wish we could have sat up there but fun place. Stop in for a cold one.
