I enjoyed 5 great meals during my week stay in early December of 2019. Whether in the comfortable stools by the kitchen or the beautifully wooded booths you cannot go wrong. I really had great salads, breakfasts and a lunch. Enjoy.

13 Coins has been phenomenal for the last 30 yrs and it saddens me to write this. We're very reasonable people, have positive perspectives, not complainers nor are we a Karen type. That said is our experience last night in the Seattle Restaurant. The Host was sick, coughing, blowing his nose, running his hands through long unwashed hair and would hand out menus while also delivering food. It was disgusting and not sanitary. We were also told there would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table which took 1 hour 45 minutes. The server was slow, the food delivery took an hour to recieve, one of our meals (Chicken Parmesan) was subpar & overcooked and our plates were never removed when completed. The servers were all arguing, the single (one) bus person was being yelled at constantly by staff and the entire experience was terrible. This clearly is a poorly managed Restaurant and it pains me to say, we'll not be back. There's other great restaurants with class, great service and food as 13 Coins has gone down hill badly and our friends on Social Media echo recent experiences there.

We popped in prior to a concert. It was fairly quick. Meal 1- french onion soup and onion rings - as to have them served together as entre. Soup was first thing on table, asked them to take it back and serve as entre. Meal 2- ravioli as appy, spaghetti with veggies Ravioli was ok, spaghetti entre had been under heat lamps for 15 mins Meal 3 - veggie omlette, plate of roasted veggies with a fried egg on top Meal 4- coconut shrimp and fries - pretty hard to mess that up.. Beer and wine finally showed up halfway thru entre.. In all... really sad meal that was over $125

We ate here for lunch and breakfast during our stay. Both were amazing! The service was top notch both times and we enjoyed the atmosphere. For breakfast my kids asked for pancakes, but they weren’t t on the menu. However the chef came out and said he’d make them for them! Highly recommend!

Smallest salad for the price. Hardly even a side salad. It taste good yet it was only a salad so little prep needed. For a quick eat at the hotel it was fine but I'd go elsewhere for more sustenance for the $

Excellent food and service, both! We had the Prime Rib French Dip and Wagyu Beef burger. They were both delicious and served with flare by Bob, who was awesome! Come and eat here, the chairs at the bar are really high-backed and comfortable.

Visiting area and stopped by for breakfast food/dinner. My daughter had eggs, hash browns and bacon. My wife and I had cheeseburgers. The breakfast food was delicious. Especially the hash browns and bacon. The bacon was very thick and the hash browns were huge. The burgers were good. Service was excellent.

We were in Seattle for the Blue Jays invasion of Safeco Field and had no idea where to eat before the game. A couple of blocks from the stadium we found 13 Coins. My wife had calimari and loved it. I had an amazing Ruben sandwich. Food was great...prices were reasonable...service was a little slow, but it was right before an event at Safeco so ill let that pass.

13 Coins is located on the lobby level of the hotel we stayed in during our trip to Seattle. A friend recommended it and we stopped in the night we arrived, tired from our trip. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent. Our server, Chuck, was personable and provided attentive service. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The Chicken Parm is delicious. We enjoyed our first experience so much we went back the next evening after a long day of touring the area. It is fun to sit at the counter and see the chefs do their job.

Doesnt matter what time it is come hungry and enjoy this Seattle landmark. Old school feel good service huge menu. I had breakfast this time the Dutch baby an open faced crepe with hash browns You wont be sorry you tried it

A 24 hour restaurant that feels like a fine dinner house. The menu is wide-ranging. Every dish is prepared with skill and finesse. You can choose from private booths, a cabaret area, tables, or, our choice, sit at the counter in really cool captains chairs and watch the Chefs prepare the wide array of dishes. The staff is friendly, the prices are mid-range, the servings are generous, and everything was very, very tasty.

Was looking forward to eating at 13 Coins. Really enjoyed it when I was in Seattle four years ago. The restaurant's menu continues to be everything to everybody. I ordered the steamed clams. They came with an uneccesary pesto sauce. The clams were delicious. The pesto sauce would have been better over a pasta. Service was not as robust as it had been. At the airport restaurant they had waitresses who'd been around since Hector was a pup. They were competent, old school and very effective. The new group tried hard but didn't quite measure up. There was a long wait between courses, we had an order that was mixed up and the waiter looked flustered most of the night. The great high backed chairs remained but the ambience didn't follow. I'd like to recommend it, but you could probably get a better meal at your aunt wilma's house.

Last Dinner at 13 Coins before heading home from our fabulous Alaskan cruise..Bobbi Jo was a super waitress..The food was delicious and wait staff was surpurp..

While traveling for work I arrived at my hotel late last night exhausted and starving. I walked into 13 Coins just 20 minutes before closing and had intended to order something quick to go, being mindful of closing time. I was promptly greeted by Sunny and was told it was no worry, have a seat and dine in. My server Joe also encouraged me to take my time and enjoy my dinner. It was a pleasure to have incredible service after a long day of work and travel. I took Sunny’s recommendation and ordered the chicken parmesan, and it was scrumptious. I sat up at the bar top, and those captain chairs were so comfortable! Dylan was behind the counter and made pleasant conversation throughout my meal. Never once did I feel rushed or made to feel like I was a bother for coming in so late. Everyone was so friendly last night I decided I had to go back tonight for dinner as well. The bonus was tonight I did not walk in right at closing time. Yet again, I was greeted by Sunny and was welcomed back and asked about my day. How nice it was to be remembered! I asked to be seated up at the bar top and was happy to get the opportunity to visit with Dylan again. Tonight my server was Chuck and he provided phenomenal customer service. Although he did not agree with me wanting to order my steak well done, and after a tiny bit of him teasing, I told him to pick whichever steak he thought would be best as long as it came out well done! My ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection! The evening was topped off with my favorite dessert, crème brûlée. The food was fabulous, the atmosphere was fun and inviting, but what really made this experience special was the incredibly kind and genuine staff. Job well done Sunny, Joe, Dylan, and Chuck. Thank you for making evenings being away from home for work enjoyable. This will be the first place I come back to on my next trip to Seattle.

13 Coins has been a Seattle institution for many years. We sat at the Bar last night for dinner on my first visit to their new downtown Seattle location. Drink service was great, with a friendly bartender. Our other guests enjoyed their Wagyu Burger and Buttermilk Chicken salad. My blackened chicken sandwich came out of the kitchen almost 15 minutes after they had been served the others entrees. It was dry, under seasoned and mostly bread. It lacked any real flavor. I should have sent it back but didn’t want to cause a scene in front of the others. I said something to the host as I was leaving to get the car. He said the manager wanted to talk to me about the experience, but did not appear. I will never go back.

Expensive. Unhappy staff. Place has a weird vibe. Food smells good. Coffee not even average. Close to Kkng Street Station

We are traveling and met a friend for lunch here and it was excellent. We sat in a booth and had great acoustics to catch up and talk. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the spinach salad and it was very good. The ambiance at this restaurant is outstanding.

I've eaten here before, and I LOVEDit. The 24 hour menu is amazing. However this time I took my fami,y as we could ALL find something from the menu we would enjoy. We waited for seating, then was told wait here as a table was being cleared, we stood there like a bunch of idiots until I had to go ask the staff, what was going l on. I was told sit down it's open seating... WHAT?!?!, While looking at this one sided menu, I told my family, this is NOT the real menu. This must be the lounge/open seating area menu. When I asked they told me they were using a limited menu due to an event in the area.... This was after we ordered our drinks... I felt we had to stay and none of us were thrilled with our food. The choices on the SMALL MENU was bogus... they need to tell customers upon arrival, that their menu is simplified we would have taken our kids elsewhere, where they would have enjoyed their food, as we could have too. This was NOT what I had in mind and was TERRIBLY disappointed.

I enjoyed a very filling, delicious breakfast prior to a Seattle Mariners day game. Sat at the bar, well taken care of by Oscar the bartender. Although my Farmers Omelette breakfast took 25 minutes to be served (and a request for jelly took 5 minutes to be fulfilled), the food arrived piping hot, substantial and very tasty. I suspect the kitchen is a bit overwhelmed or understaffed at this time, like most restaurants.

The parking situation is horrible, not worth it. The restaurant is nice, but has not secured parking for customers, and has subject their customers to a rigid and punitive parking manager. They have spots, but only if the garage has space - this area is always busy. Parking in front of the restaurant looks like street parking, but that is deceptive. I ran in for a short period only to learn the parking manager added $70 to my lunch. I confirmed with the manager they don't get involved, and haven't arranged anything to help customers. After that I don't remember what my lunch was like.

I previously went to 13coins at 3am and it was an enjoyable experience, the wait to be seated was 15min and the the wait for food was short as well. The pork brisket eggs benedict was amazing and we sat at the counter near the cooks! :) Unfortunately the second time I went it was after the Night Nation Run and I do not think the restaurant was prepared or organized to accommodate many people after an event. They continually started to seat people, and this caused maybe 2 hour wait for food and maybe 40 minute wait just to get an order in which is sadly not an exaggeration. Our waiter was in such a rush and kinda rude, he only got our drink order and appetizer order then sped away before we could order our entrees. When we called him back after 30 minutes of waiting, he was surprised we wanted to order an entree..which is kinda ridiculous. To be fair, it seemed like he was the only waiter serving at the time, and it seemed once some other table complained of the wait to a manager, we started to see a frenzy of people from the concierge and other waiters come down to serve food. But that meant since they didn't take our order, they didn't know which food belonged to who, so they were calling out the food to the people. "Did you order this?" "No..." ... It was a very disorganized mess. Probably an hour lapsed before we saw food after we ordered it. Good part of the night was the Jazz band that played, they were awesome. Amy Winehouse songs all night haha, which I love.

Large dinner menu Good selection of local wines Veal piccata was very tasty but served with only a starch, no vegetable for $28. Ordered Catch of the day which we were told was halibut in a meniere sauce. Server brought salmon with a salsa on top. Still tasty, but not what was ordered. This had a starch and vegetables for $34 Nicely appointed furnishings, part of Embassy Suites hotel. Great location very near Centurylink Field and the trains. Server, Kate was great, pleasant and very accommodating. Provided menu suggestions

Had a great meal before a Mariners baseball game. Wait staff were very accommodating. Let us mix and match from the menu. The clams in pesto butter was the best!

While staying at the Embassy Suites (in the same building as 13 Coins) my mother and I had dinner here. It appears that booths are reserved in advance, the bar is open seating and a lounge area in the back is also open seating with tables. Mom ordered chicken fettuccine and I ordered scallops scampi and a side of broccolini. Everything looked, smelled and tasted amazing. We were going to order the cheesecake, but they were out. I was intrigued with the cheesecake because I hoping to try the pineapple graham crust. I will have to come back.

Great start to getting to know Seattle. Easy walk from train station. Needed to kill time before getting into rental. Crowded-everyone there for soccer I heard. Got the eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. Did not disappoint. Staff was phenomenal and friendly. All the food around me looked great. May be returning next week when I catch the train home.

We ate here twice -- once for lunch and once for dinner. We both had the Monte Cristo sandwich for lunch and it was delicious. For dinner, I had the veal parmigiana, my wife had the chicken picatta. Both were delicious, cooked to perfection, and large portions without being overindulgent. We really enjoyed watching the staff coordinate their efforts while preparing the meals at the open kitchen! Yes, some of the prices were high, but what isn't in downtown Seattle?

Enjoyed the meal a lot. I had a great quality steak. The atmosphere was nice. The portions were large, tasted good. I also had a pilsner beer that was very good, and a glass of champagne that was a surprise at the end that was also very good!

Be prepared to walk, parking is not convenient. Been regular for 30+ years. I was impressed with the new place

Unfortunately we did not receive our full meal we ordered. My husband and I came to Seattle to go to the Seahawks game. We stayed at the Marriott next to Lumen field. All we wanted was a nice dinner. We ordered and received our meal but it was missing the bread that goes perfect with this meal. Not cool!

We stopped at 13 Coins for a breakfast while in Seattle. We sat at the bar and had a great breakfast and really enjoyed watching them make all the meals. Would go back again.

13 coins has a really cool and hip sort of atmosphere. I’m a fan of the high booths that they have, which makes things feel more private than at other restaurants. I quite like their pasta dishes, but it’s a tad too expensive for what it tastes like. It’s good, but not extraordinary. I love that they’re open all through the night.

We only ate here cause it was located in our hotel, so therefore it was convenient. My son got the filet mignon and husband got the prime rib. Good portion size for the price. I got the linguine with clam sauce and it was just ok, nothing really stood out for it.

Thought maybe I ordered a specialty version of a new favorite. I ordered a cubano that was ice cold, slight grill marks on the bread indicating they attempted to heat it up but the pork was ice cold. We won’t be risking it again, location didn’t make up for the lack of attentiveness on the cooks and servers part.

While staying at the hotel, we called down for room service only to be told that they were operating on a limited menu due to an event. When we asked where to find said menu, the person on the phone rudely told us to come down for it in person. After finding it online, we made the mistake of placing the order. The food was underwhelming to say the least. The pasta was under seasoned and the desserts were on par with supermarket bakery fair. Their ridiculous pricing added insult to injury. Avoid if you can. We will.

My airline pilot husband husband discovered 13 Coins by SeaTac 35+years ago on a layover and needs a Joe's Special "fix" every couple of years. Our lunch this week didn't disappoint. Speedy friendly service, cozy booth, ( the neat tall chairs at the counter are fun too) The Joe's Special was great as always. The spinach salad and prime rib dip sandwich were super. Just goes to show You CAN go home again! And we will!

Ate here late in the evening after flying cross country and checking into the attached Embassy Suites. Great menu with quick and friendly service. Very impressed and highly recommend!

We had 2 days in Seattle—-got there—-informed menus changes on “game days”. Stinks! Also heard it’s just not that good.

Wow! I had one of the best dining experiences here. I sat at the “countertop” that has comfortable high back, leather bar stools. This seating gives you a full up front view of the food preparation. Chef Mike and his staff were such a pleasure to watch and talk to. My server, Samuel was equally as impressive. My food was amazing. I somehow think watching it be prepared made it even better. I will definitely be back when I’m in Seattle again.

Better than any 24 hour diner and less than the fancy place it portends Hash browns to die 4 Portions on huge size Prices as expected in Hyatt property .. high

Slow service, bad food. Do not go here. Manager did not seem to know what was going on. Bar staff were non existent.

High booths lend sense of privacy. Lingering was not a problem; allowing time for a good visit or business meeting. Eggs benedict choices are varied and excellent.

Arrived from Portland on a Friday evening so decided to stop here for a drink and something to eat and to avoid the rush hour traffic. Luckily the person collecting us got a parking space right outside the door. The three of us sat at the corner of the bar on lovely bucket seats. Our waiter was great. We had a burger, steak tips and an omelette and all were very good. Delighted that the traffic chaos had abated by the time we finished.

I love coming here on weekends for a huge yummy lunch. The cooks at the chefs counter are super nice, and really are pros. The food is still, and always is so good. Carentino is a awesome cook, and Leo is still here, and has been working for the "coins" for what seems forever. He was at the old location over on Boren. I try to get downtown as often as possible, but it seems like it is a yearly event...too bad that I live so far away.

The atmosphere and decor was inviting and made you want to come in and experience the food. In addition the staff, chefs Carmine, Chris, Jose and server April were outstanding. Most importantly, the food was flavorful and delicious. If in the Seattle area this restaurant is one not to miss.

Had breakfast here and took a sandwich to go! Almost next door to the Amtrak Station so it was convenient. Food was fresh and delicious. Lovely bar seats - not the usual stools. Service was quick!

Stopped here for lunch while visiting seattle midweek.... I had the Prime Rib Sandwich with swiss cheese, and the wife had the Monte Cristo, her favorite lunch entree here... It was difficult for me to not order the eggs benedict, as they are the best I have ever had anywhere. and I mean anywhere.... The meat on my sandwich was literally melt in your mouth tender, and the cheese was perfectly melted without being greasy. the fries were crisp on the outside, done and hot on the inside. My wife said the Monte was as always, perfect, served with fresh fruit and strawberry preserves. You simply can never go wrong at the Coins, regardless of what you order.

Stayed in attached hotel so we ate here twice, both visits we had amazing food. Staff are friendly and attentive. You can sit at the bar in their amazing high back chairs. My son is a trainee chef and was very interested watching the guys cooking the orders. Would definitely eat here again.

This Seattle institution has moved into new digs and has a new outlook! We met friends here for brunch recently; not only did we enjoy our food but the service was above and beyond our expectation for an establishment in the heart of stadium/downtown area. I highly recommend that, whatever you might order off of the breakfast menu, you do not miss the hash browns. I'm not sure what the magic ingredient is....but they were scrumptious. We'll be back to try this out again!

We just tried to get in. The staff were running around frantically, it was really noisy, and there were people waiting with empty seats everywhere. When the front man asked the two of us what we wanted we asked for a table for two. He said there were only seats at the bar and walked away. He came back a little while later and started talking to another lady who had been waiting. We just stood there. Then we walked out and ordered pizza from another place. I just went back in. Five staff members looked at me standing there and ignored me. Including the front man. There are still empty seats everywhere. I think I know why.

My Aunt and I stopped in for a late lunch before boarding the Amtrak train to Chicago. The waiter was prompt and understood our need for haste. I enjoyed the cuban sandwich and my aunt had the spaghetti and meatballs. The menu had a large selection of options. I would definitely return if I have the opportunity.

Asked to several locals and they suggest 13 coins as THE LOCAL SPOT. They do have really good food (ask for the bucket of pesto clams) and the prices are what is on the market at Seattle. They have this cool old dinner design but with modern industrial deco. You can seat at the bar and talk with the kitchen staff. I highly recommend it and the best... 24/7 and really nice CS.

The food here was fine, if a little pricey, but the service left a lot to be desired. The guy at the host stand acted like he didn't even want to seat us, he told us we could walk back to the back area and find ourselves a seat. Walked back there and there was nowhere for a group of 3 to sit so had to walk back up there and inform him and he just acted so inconvenienced and clearly did not want us there. But it was late (but still hours before they were supposed to close) and I wasn't going anywhere else so unfortunately he had to figure it out. We got sat and then we waited. And waited. And finally someone came to check on us, apologized because they didn't know anyone had been seated, and took our drink orders. And then we waited awhile more. Drinks came, food got ordered, and then we waited some more. And waited some more. I think you can see where this is going. Listen, I'm not a high maintenance customer. Come and check on me occasionally, keep my drink full, apologize that the food is taking 45+ minutes to come out, I'm laid back and I got nowhere to be but bed so it's all good. But we sat there for a long time with empty drinks and no food and no one bothered to check on us until the food came. Then they didn't check on us again until long after we were done eating and asked for the check. Then they took so long to bring the check I thought I was going to have to hunt someone down because they forgot about us. Again. Anyways, I think you get the picture. It was not a pleasant experience. Being late and not having a car my options were limited, and while the food itself was good I think if I had to go back and do it again I would have just gone to bed hungry because I would rather have had the sleep than sitting in this restaurant for a couple hours.

The restaurant is next door to the Embassy Suites, with a connecting door to the lobby. It has something of a sports bar atmosphere. Perhaps this is appropriate, since the professional football and baseball stadiums are within a block or two. Service was very prompt, courteous and professional. The food was average. The somewhat short menu has an assortment of appetizers, breakfast items, sandwiches, and dinner entrees. Sometimes when a restaurant tries to accommodate too many different tastes, they end up with a lot of average dishes instead of a smaller selection of excellent ones. Perhaps this is what happened here.

We ate here recently and I’m sorry to say it rates with one of the worst meals of our trip. I’m coeliac and I ordered a burger which had some worst gluten free bread I’ve ever tasted. The burger was burnt and grisly. My husband had Phili steak the accompanying fries were reheated. The only positive part of the experience was the excellent service of the waiter. Maybe he would be a better chef.

Had a few hours lay over from train in seattle to Vancouver, someone recommended 13 coins located across from train station. We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant, the deco was great, very clean, staff was friendly and very helpful, they did not rush you at all, food was super good and a great selections. We would definitely go back there if ever in seattle again.

Have been coming to the Coins for many years -- 30+ - mostly at their old location downtown. Unfortunately, the last few years the quality of the food has gone down hill drastically. Consequently only visit a couple times a year now and only when others want to go. My main complaint is everything is so overly salted some things are almost not edible. Breakfast is especially bad. I recently had an omelet and hash browns that were so salty you could not taste the actual food. Mornings seem to be worse than other times of day - at least at the new downtown location. Can't recommend this restaurant any more.

Very cool spot with great atmosphere. All the staff were pleasant and honest about menu items i.e. what’s better this or this? Questions. Coffee was good and strong and the food was marvelous. Check out this amazing tiramisu!

The Coins has been around forever. .. when they lost their old location, we were thrilled that the new location was in SODO near Safeco and Century Link. When we walked into the location, I was thrilled that the theme has stayed the same with high back leather chairs and cozy boots. The downstairs has a more modern update that would easily handle before game or concert crowds. There is homage to the history of Seattle all over the eatery. The menu is very basic in which every thing is available 24 hours a day. You want eggs benedict? They have it. Want a huge steak? They have it. Your basic meal will be there. Service and timeliness of the food is efficient. This place was clean.

Had our last meal here at 13 Coins waiting for our train home. Superb service ... thank you Monique!!! Can't go wrong with the Bucket of Clams; simply delicious swimming in their pesto broth. Lobster Mac & Cheese was good. Finished with BAT. No worries, everything was shared. Great location for the train or a game.

Nice - a mix of diner and restaurant.... many booths and nice lightning/design. Basic menu - long list of choices.... Food was tasty and served hot... Right next door to Embassy Suites and 1 block from Amtrak....

I travel a bit and am always leery of the captive hotel restaurant. Not only because they tend to scale on the high end of prices, but given the captive audience, the quality can wane. Not the case with 13 Coins which served as a nice antidote to the hotel eatery. And what's not to like about a full menu 24-7? You want delicious french toast at 10 PM, check. A burger for breakfast...no problem. Prices are decent, quality outstanding, service solid...13 Coins gives captive restaurants a bad name...and that's a good thing!

Hostess was non welcoming, Ordered several small plates Tri colored roasted cauliflower very greasy and they forgot the candied pecans, Caesar salad heavy dressing and very little Parmesan cheese. French onion soup was the best along with beef eater martinis

I stayed 5 days at the Embassy Suites but really didn't have plans to eat here, but we ended up having a couple of hard days and needed to get something close. The first experience was stopping in to have a late night convo with family over cheesecake slices. Great decor! The cheesecake was not to good and I'm not even sure if it could be classified as a cheesecake. A bit pricey at $10. The 2nd visit was for cheeseburgers as a late night dinner. Our relatives had eaten lunch there earlier in the day and raved about these things. They used a French bread as the bread, but for us, it was definitely underwhelming 👎. Maybe my expectations were to high based on what I had heard?? The service was also not good. Our server seemed detached and really was trying to be there in the moment. His tip reflected that. The final blow was on our last night in the hotel I ordered chicken wings to go after 11pm. The fact that they are 24/7 Is good but that's about it. It took them 45 minutes to hand me my order after stating that it would take 20 minutes. Totally unacceptable!! The wings were good, but the service delivery was lacking for $17. Again..things are going to be pricey here. I do regret not checking them out on the live music nights.

This restaurant is attached to the Embassy Suites Pioneer Square, a block away from Lumen Field and T-mobile ballpark. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As I was in town to catch a few Mariners games and staying at Embassy Suites it was convenient to give this restaurant my business. I sampled many of their entrees over the five days, from Chicken, Salad, Prawns, Steak and Prime Rib. They have booths but I decided to sit at the chef bar where you can watch the chefs cook. They are all so talented and took my gluten allergy seriously making special modifications for me. Order an entree and you can have complimentary delicious antipasto. The final night I had the prime rib which was honestly the best prime rib I have had at any restaurant. The manager Cece was so welcoming. The head of Sales for the restaurant Michael Hirsch also provided top level service. A restaurant is only as good as the chefs they employee. 13 coins in Seattle has some of the best. Chef Mikey and Chef Carmine provided top level cuisine for me the first two days followed by their Executive Chef Randy the final two days. They modified my food with care even going so far to use frying pans instead of the grill for cross contamination prevention. Chef Randy used fresh oil in a pan to make me the best customized gluten free fries. Chef Cameron and Chris worked on my food also with a lot of personal care. Finally Chef Ben made me a special sauce not even on the menu for my prime rib that he learned on his own. Who does that? Outstanding service by all these chefs. I so enjoyed conversing with them at my meals and saw the passion they have for their trade. So after a ballgame, no need to look farther than a block to 13 Coins Restaurant. You will be very happy you ate there. I look forward to coming back on my next trip.

The original 13 Coins Restaurant off Boren Avenue was famous for its ambience, great food and excellent service. For over 40 years, we have enjoyed wonderful experiences and have even been to the SeaTac location several times. We had not taken the opportunity to visit the "bigger and swankier" Pioneer Square location but were excited for another Coins experience. Bigger was certainly not better! To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Admittedly, some of the blame for the terrible experience was our own doing. We should have known better than to go there before a Seahawks football game and when they would not take any reservations. Expecting a crowd, we decided to go to the restaurant over four hours before the game. Even then, there was still a 45 minute to hour wait, but we decided to stay because we were so early. When we were finally seated after just over an hour, it was in their downstairs bar at a long table with six other persons...without masks. The place was jammed, but luckily we were at the end of the table next to a column. Twenty minutes after being seated, we flagged down a passing busboy to ask for a waiter and were eventually told that it was the bartender...busily making drinks for the multitude of other customers. Our lunch/dinner consisted of two glasses of white wine, a side of Crispy Brussels, a Waygu Burger and a Joe's Special. I've had their Joe's Special numerous times in the past for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snack and had never had one as skimpy, greasy and terrible as this time. Tack on their extra "Living Wage" surcharge plus tax and tip and we walked out over $54 per person poorer. Packing customers into a confined space during COVID should be criminal. Unfortunately, the restaurant has become more like 3 Coins and definitely not golden ones. We expect to never return. There are many other responsible Seattle eateries which appreciate the safety of their customers and need our business.

Staying at the Embassy Suites and was happy to see that this restaurant is located just off the lobby. Had dinner on Saturday night, delicious Steak David, perfectly cooked. Enjoyed the Eggs Benedict this morning, great service both times. Decided to have one last dinner meal tonight. It was busy, as it was the night before. The hostess mentioned that I could go to the lounge, as we did the night before. So I proceeded to the lounge. As soon as I sat down, the waiter accused me of not going through the hostess first? Umm Que? “You can’t just sit yourself, you have to go through the hostess” “yes, I did, she told me to come back here” he walked away, as did I, he was entering the kitchen and says, I’m just doing what I’m told. That’s fine with me but man dude you can’t talk to a customer like that. So I went to the hostess desk again, I told her what happened. She said she’d be back. I should’ve stayed longer but I’d lost my appetite and I certainly didn’t want that waiter. I’ve never not left a tip but I might have been inclined to tip the busser and hostess before tipping this waiter. Being busy is understandable but dude take a breath before you say something that loses you a customer.

This is a very interesting place and the food very decent. It’s not haute cuisine but much better than I would expect from a 24 hour operation. The cooks talk to you and work well together and although not cheap you leave there satisfied - at least we did. Prime rib was great, the prawns huge and tasty curled infront of my eyes, clams in pesto tasty. Desert was enjoyed. I saw people working hard and acting upbeat so I appreciated my meal.

Had dinner and a few drinks here lately and I have to say I was so surprised how amazing the food and the staff were. The restaurant wouldn't look like your typical restaurant that you see in Europe anyway so I and my friends weren't sure but after being recommended by another friend we went anyway. We had no booking so we were told to wait around 20-25 minutes as there were 9 of us. The adults waited at the bar area while the younger ones were asked to be seated at the restaurant area as it's their policy. I'm a vodka drinker and thought I knew my vodka until the lady staff pleasantly surprised me when she offered me the huckleberry vodka (It's a pity I forgot her name but I was there early evening on the 17th of August,). It's a bit of a sweet cocktail but hey it's SUPERB. Now let's talk about the food. The restaurant area offered a wide variety of menus to choose from. They even made a dish that I suggested (Thanks to another ladystaff Angelique). Every single one of us was very much satisfied with our dinner (By the way, we all came from different countries), and the verdict was a unanimous AMAZING FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! period. If I'm back again in Seattle I will definitely drop by in here as it's like 10 minutes away on foot from the SEATAC airport and close to many hotels in SEATAC

We stopped here to buy sandwiches for the four hour train trip to Vancouver. People were lovely and helpful— it looked like a cozy and lively place to sit and eat. We had the blackened chicken sandwich and the Philly Cheesesteak and both were excellent— moist, flavorful and generous enough to share. We didn’t want the fries and they happily substituted onion rings and a Caesar salad.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We waited for over an hour in a not so busy time to be told we were 4th in line. 4 of the 9 people we were with walked out because we had to be up early for work. The waiter felt like he was on his first day and I don't think he ever put our order in. The host had a horrible attitude when I complained and blamed the kitchen. When they finally brought the oatmeal it was wrong and the trainee of the wait staff actually was laughing at the clueless waiter. The whole staff was horrible, the place was horrible and they need new management. Total disgrace. They should fire the waiter, the manager and the front desk - total failure to recognize an issue and resolve it.

It may not be the original but its pretty good. The service was very great. Cocktails were good. Food was good. The selection is a real plus. There are lots of fun photos to look at. I want to go back and try something else sometime soon.

I absolutely love sitting at the counter and watching the interaction of the cooking staff! Their calamari steaks are incredible, and their employees are, too!

The atmosphere of the restuarant at first glance unique but very cool. My husband & I sat at the counter where there where high back chair stools. We watched the guys whip out order after order. We placed drink orders. Then our food order, the server did not write down anything. Then he looks at me & says I should have a pad. Long story short, he dropped the ball messed my order totally up. I was pissed!!!! I told him he could take the food back and I did not want anything. The chef comes back and states he can not let me leave without making it right. So he asked what I ordered and I told him. My food came out hot & correct!!! I was so appreciative that I tipped him. So long story short he saved the day!!

Convenient location to have dinner & wait for a train. Servers were cheerful & attentive, especially Isaiah, but food was ghastly. Fried chicken special: 2 bland, over-battered boneless thighs, potato salad, biscuits. Biscuits salty & greasy. Potato salad out of a carton, tasted old. Chicken flavorless & watery. Not juicy, watery. Clearly frozen for a long time. Partner had adequate omelet, huge slab of doughy hashbrowns. Dessert of tiramisu(?) like a bowl of canned whipped cream stirred with pudding & coffee. Weird! Maybe a BLT would be ok, but I would hesitate to eat here again.

Very quintessential Seattle. A family of 6 enjoyed a variety of seafood, meat, cocktails and desserts. Their chowder is some of the best we have ever had. The bag of clams in pesto was very rich and tasty. We always try to make a stop here when in town. Highly recommend

My wife and I stayed recently at the Embassy Suites and decided to try the adjoining restaurant 13 Coins a try during their HAPPY HOUR. We were impressed with the great service and outstanding quality of their food. Our only regret is that we didn't go more often. Beautiful layout and Ambiance. A must try if you are in Seattle.

We had Sunday breakfast at this location it was awesome the service and the cooking was excellent. Sitting in the bar was perfect we were able to watch the Seahawks play the Raiders.

On the ground floor of the Embassy Suites, 13 coins is a modern diner with multiple food choices open 24 hours ! We tried a late lunch, It was tasty and quick, service felt a little in personal and not many smiles, not a problem as we came for the food and it was good, maybe a little more expensive than it should be, guess you pay for location.

13 Coins was highly recommended and was close the hotel we were staying in. The restaurant had a very large menu selection. The Waitress was great. The breakfast was fantastic and would recommend if in the area

We entered Seattle via Amtrak and had a couple of hours to wait for the coach. Being hungry we started outside the terminal and asked for something close by as we didn’t want to cart our bags blocks and blocks. So just outside the train building is 13 Coins, went in, took a few minutes to be noticed and seated- they were not busy. Nice decor, waitress was friendly, they are all dressed for a nightclub. I got a breakfast plate (regular hasbrowns, eggs, sausage) mom had a clubhouse. The bill totaled USD $62.00. I’ve never spent like that and will never did it again.

Drinks were good here. Service was good. My mashed potatoes and veggies were cold and the french onion soup was barely warm. This is a nice place to eat and drink at but food needs some work.

They charged us $35 per person for muffin, yogurt and coffee. The muffins we're definitely a couple days old. When you add in mandatory fees, taxes and gratuity. The cost was like $50. It was the worst breakfast experience ever.

I just love this place , the décor, the food and the service. the appetizers were excellent and very flavorful: the crab and artichoke dip had the perfect consistency, love the crispy calamari (strips of long calamari), the fried ravioli were delicious and the meatballs (excellent) the waygu burger cooked to perfection ! the chicken parmigiana was very good. Jason, our server was excellent, very professional and very friendly. we just had a great evening.

We ate here on a recommendation from Century Link stadium staff. The decor inside was fun with leather booths and interesting high backed bar chairs. It was a wait for a table inside at lunch so we opted for patio seating - 2 adults, tween and teen. The food was good, not great, though my daughter raved about her French toast. The service was decent and the menu offered a lot of options, both for seafood and non-shellfish eaters as well as items on an all day breakfast menu. It was nice to sit in the sun and people watch from the patio at Pioneer Square. We would eat there again.

We had breakfast while staying at the Embassy Suites. Service was good but not overly fast, and the food was all good. The portions were large especially the hash browns. But the food was all good, we had the eggs over easy, there were cooked well, and the biscuits and gravy.

So disappointed. I have been going 13 coins for years and took my son and his girlfriend to dinner last night for his birthday. First it took over 15 minutes to 1/2 of the table to receive our drinks and then for the server to tell us that they were out of San Pelagrino. Then another 10 minutes to receive the replacement drinks. Out of so many menu items, veal, many drink options, desserts. My son ordered the NY steak and I ordered the steak salad, both Medium Rare. Both came well done. Server never checked back to see how everything was, took some time to flag her down. My son was so hungry he poured steak sauce all over his $50. steak so he could eat it. I chose to send it back to have cooked MR, mistakes happen, no big deal. Well 15 minutes later after everyone was finished eating, I got my steak.....WELL DONE AGAIN! We are talking no pink at all in this steak. Could not believe it. I was not going to send it back again, everyone was done eating. I did not eat it and of course I was charged $29. for a bowl of lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. No apologies. Mistakes happen but you need to address them and comp a meal when it is made incorrectly twice and not eaten. Dishes not cleared, appetizer plates, glasses, dinner plates, etc. . We ordered dessert. We had told the Manager on duty when we arrived that this was a bday. At this point I did not trust that the dessert we ordered would come with a candle so I asked for one when he ordered the fried ice-cream. It arrived.....no candle and half melted. Asked for a candle and that took another 5 minutes. Fried ice-cream was really melted at this point. Again, no apology. Receive the check, steak salad on there of course, and a they run the credit card. Our server had put our check on 2 tickets and says she ran the card twice and ran off. So we had to go thru the bill and figure out what she was talking about. For some reason they had put our food on 2 seperate tabs. We were also charged 11.00 for Living Wage with no explanation of what that is? In total we spent over 334.00 for one of the worst meals and service I have ever had. It was not busy, staff was short rude, not smiling, not inviting and so slow. I am in the restaurant business and have been for over 30 years, and I am very understanding of what goes on behind the scenes. I was embarrassed for you guys last night and it was such a disappointing birthday dinner. 13 Coins is better than this.

If you like excellent music and food you could not lose this restaurant. Hamburgers and meat are amazing. In Seattle come here.

I had the Prime Rib Dip. Very tender and cooked to perfection. Came with French fries. Very filling. Ordered the Chocolate Decadence to go. My server Shelly was wonderful, quick and provided service with a smile.

I had a horrifying experience at the 13 Coins today. My sever was being very rude from the moment we ordered our food. I just asked her a simple question about the menu and she was extremely rude for no reason. My mother and I ordered breakfasts that included hashbrowns. When they arrived they were undercooked and raw. When asked to have them cooked, our sever returned to our table and very rudely asked us several times if we asked her for crispy hashbrowns which we did not but expected them to at least be cooked and not completely raw. She keep saying I should have asked for crispy hashbrowns. Why she didn't just bring us cooked food instead of questioning me why didn't ask for crispy is beyond me and not our fault the chef severed us raw food. Our silverware was dirty with chunks of food stuck to it. When we asked for more silverware she snatched them off the table like it was our fault. We were both so upset at the way we were treated my mother left her hearing aids and I left my car keys. When we returned to get them the manager said they didn't have them. It was only about five minutes. My mother's hearing aids are thousands of dollars and it was also my house keys. I was panicking and all the manager was saying was they didn't have them, and that I could never come back to 13 Coins and refuse to give any reason as to why. I have no idea why my mother and I were treated this way by your staff. My mother has been a loyal customer since the 70's and myself since the 90's. For a restaurant that claims to have a exceptional dining experience this is completely unacceptable.

Another fantastic meal at 13 coins. Our server, Alan, was fantastic! Alan does not have the word ‘no’ in his vocabulary. Every request was either a ‘yes’ or ‘I’ll get that taken care of’. If you sit in his section you’ll be taken care of!

The name is catchy; however, that’s it. Steak had a lot of fat on it and no flavor. The potatoes were frozen hash browns cooked. Not worth the money -

We just had dessert but Kevin was a superb waiter. Outdoor patio. Close to baseball field. Dessert was excellent.

THE best waitress…..Sarah!! Great service, food, location and ambience Great on both occasions. Went on arrival in Seattle yest, located near train station. So good we went back again today Very well done Sarah and thank you

I visited 13 Coins location on 255 S. King St. March 2, 2023 during Happy Hour and was seating in the bar with my party around 4pm. I ordered from the Happy Hour menu: 2 hamburger sliders for $9.99 and onion rings $7.99. The onion rings portion was fine but the sliders were no bigger than a ping pong ball if I had stuck them together! Others in my party ordered sandwiches including a side from the regular menu and received a full dinner plate full of food for the same combined price of $18.00! I felt ripped off at best! I don't think I'll ever be going back after that experience!

I got takeout while staying at the attached Embassy Suites. The front desk staff seemed clueless when I arrived to pick up my order. The Chicken Parm with white sauce was so-so at best. Also, when I got back to the room, the Diet Coke I ordered and paid $4 for was missing. I will look for other options when I am in the area next time.

We just finished a grueling 17 hour saga aboard Amtrak and were desperate for anything to eat. At first glance 13 coins appeared to be another overpriced restaurant in downtown Seattle. What a great surprise when a extremely courteous hostess sat us at the counter with no waiting. She even offered to store our luggage. The waitress was outstanding. We were able to watch the 3 chefs prepare a wide variety of food extremely efficiently. In an area where one bad employee could make or break a restaurant all of these people did this restaurant proud.

We’re not talking about the levels of a Denny’s or an IHOP. We’re talking about fine dining, at a place that is open 24 hours and so scrumptious! I was shocked and amazed, but absolutely delightedly full!

24 hour dinner with high quality food. Place is huge, has booths, tables, lounge, sports bar and food bar. Menu is also huge.

Mind blown how horrible the service was at this place. After traveling all day & checking into our hotel we got on the waiting list at 9:25pm. We waited 55 minutes for our table. Not being from Seattle we weren’t sure of another place open this late & it was next door to the hotel so we decided to wait. After being seated we order 2 appetizers and 3 entrees. After waiting 50 minutes and watching dozens of plates come out of the kitchen. I asked the waitress if the appetizers were coming prior to the entrees. She said what did you order again? So 60 minutes later our wings come out and she says “we ran out of onion rings” (our other appetizer. Almost positive she forgot the order. But hey this isn’t the worst of it. After all that my B.A.T sandwich described on the menu as; bacon, avocado, turkey on toasted wheat bread made it to the table. I wish I took a photo because I was blown away. They served me bacon and lettuce on white bread??? Wait what? So after all this absolutely starving and traveling with a 7 year old, I asked for a manager. I HAVE NEVER said I wasn’t paying because ya service can be bad sometimes but I always pay for my food. When the manager came I explained waiting 2 hours total for chicken wings and my entree was nothing as described he proceeded to tell me “Thats a blt you ordered no tomato” wow. I asked is there a BLT on your menu? NO. Then he grabbed my plate to take to the kitchen to “show them what they did” Wow honesty I was left speechless. This place is a disgrace to the restaurant industry. Absolutely blown away by the horrendous service & the careless attitude of the manager. Being a business owner myself I would never have someone like that managing my employees. No wonder the whole place was a total crap show. Reflection of the guy in charge. Moral of the story DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

13 Coins has been a landmark for decades. A recent study experience left us feeling the luster is gone and it’s time is past. If you like watered down cocktails and dressing and arrival of food over an hour after ordering this place might be your go to. Classy turned to mediocrity… Service was also very mediocre but for Seattle that seems to have become more of the norm with tip included but never mentioned at the 13 Coins.

This place was fabulous !!! So many wonderful things to choose from on the menu all day long We chose breakfast while sitting at the bar in very comfortable chairs feeling like a queen Darlene was amazing and fun to watch cooking 😍

Very casual restaurant with a great bar and viewing for the games. Food was delicious. Keep in mind that food may take a little longer to come out because of the large crowd. Waiters and staff were great and attentive. Great for a quick dinner with friends.

I’ve been going to 13 Coins since I was a kid, but tonight’s dinner at the new location was a far cry from the quality and service I remembered. Servers were extremely slow to bus tables while we waited in the bar, we didn’t get one of the traditional meat/veggie trays (our server said they ran out and were too busy to make more), and although Saturday was their prime rib night, there were no medium rare cuts left. We likely won’t be going back.

We love the Sea-Tac 13 Coins. The ambiencce, the wonderful friendly service (Bobby Joe & Greg in the past), and Shawn's fabulous cooking. If we aren't in the mood for music, then it's no problem since the bar is away for the restruant. I also loved the old, quiet 13 Coins in the South Lake Union area, complete with Dave Beck. One reason we made reservations for the night of 21 December at the Pioneer Square Embassy suites was to be close to the Seahawk's stadium, but also to try out the connecting 13 Coins there. We were excited, but disappointed. My sweetheart and I walked in and the two guys at the Reception Desk could care less about us. They took our name and sent us downstars to the Bar saying that there were prior reservations. Walking to the stairs, we noticed two tables and two counter chairs were available, so I went back to the Reception Desk to tell them. They seemed to be annoyed, and again said there were prior reservations, even though there eight empty seats and only one couple waiting by the Reception Desk. We obediantly went to the downstairs bar and was greeted by a very loud, very bad band. When we found a table, the waitress simply came over and plopped down two menus without saying anything. We didn't know if that meant we were to eat in the Bar or what, so we ordered a Martini. Before it arrived, my phone indicated we were to go back to the Reception Desk. We were then led to the same table we had pointed out earlier. The waitress there was much more friendly and seemed interested in providing us service (I wish I could remember her name). Unfortunately, the prime rib was unavailable. Besides the band's music coming up from downstairs, the was competing piped in music in the restaurant upstairs. So the disinterested service and the loud noise was such that we will think twice about eating in Pioneey Square 13 Coins again. Except for the young woman who waited on us at our upstairs table, it had a cold, unfriendly atmosphere.

We have always enjoyed this restaurant although we had never visited this particular location. The waiter was pleasant but service was slow. We ordered wine from the by the glass list which they turned out not to have; then they couldn't find the bottle of the second we chose. The waiter asked if we wanted something else which they ended up bringing the same time as the second wine order. The burger we ordered was delicious, so overall it worked out fine; I think visit rates something in 3.5 range....

We had an early dinner at 13 coins which is very diner-ish. Awesome monte cristo, burger and zabaglione for dessert. Hit the spot! Highly recommend.

Had a pleasant meal last night with a couple business partners after flying into SeaTac Airport quite late. We were surprised to notice that such a nice restaurant was open after 9 PM. We were seated at a table with nice giant leather chairs, and a beautiful wood grain countertop. Our server was very pleasant and accommodating. I had the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful cut of prime rib, and my two Business partners enjoyed a few ribeyes. Flavor was outstanding, accompanied by some delicious cocktails. Definitely will be back next time I’m in the Seattle area… well done 13 Coins!

I place an order online at 4:30pm because I cannot get anyone on the phone. As I walk down to the restaurant they cancel 2 items off my order and tell me I will be refunded in 5-7 days. I get there and no wait. Not even busy. I get my order of waffles and chicken and go back to the 23rd floor. I sit down and pull out my food. one dry waffle. One dry chicken tender. One set of plastic utensils. No butter, no syrup, no napkins. I tried to eat the dry chicken tender but my utensils, THAT I PAID AN EXTRA DOLLAR FOR broke on the first cut. I call down to the restaurant and ask the hostess to speak to a manager. Nhan Nguyen. She said he was in a meeting but would call back. NO CALL.

Great selection of offerings. Breakfast was substantial and well prepared. The Monte Christo was very good as well. Meat balls and meat sauce was large portions and fairly good. The veal piccata had a nice crust on it and sauce was loaded with flavor. Attentive friendly service. Fair pricing.

We ate breakfast here before we caught the train and we really liked it. The decor is pretty cool, thecstafg seemed shorthanded this morning but they were very friendly. I had food restrictions and they were very accommodating. They make really great drinks as well.

Walked right in from the hotel lobby with our tennis shoes and coats on. We were seated right away and drinks were quick to follow. Our waiter was great! Service was quick. Kids each got a kids meal and one was great (the spaghetti) the other (Mac n cheese) too cheesy(really a personal preference though). We had French onion soup and the soup’s flavor was on point. A little too much cheese on the soup for us but again taste was fantastic. The prime rib dip was very good and a large portion. My husband had the club sandwich and loved it. We will be back! Next time prime rib…

This 24hr restaurant was a recommendation from our Lyft Driver and it did not disappoint! If you have the pleasure of sitting at the bar you can watch your meal be prepared. The french toast was fried perfectly and had the right amount of cinnamon. My husband order the crab egg benedict and it was delicious - whatever you chose to order please get a side of the fried has brown potatoes!! We had friendly prompt service and the atmosphere was calm.

We waited in the bar as no seats would be available for over a half hour. So we ordered drinks and an appetizer. Our seats (at the counter) became available before the appetizer arrived, and they promised it would be transferred. Never happened, so it was deducted - OK. Watching the food prep kitchen immediately in front of you was fairly entertaining, but noisy and somewhat hectic. Food was OK, but not as good as I had hoped. Service was fair as our waitperson had to dance with the kitchen staff to take and present orders. At least he had a sense of humor. If you don't mind the noise, eat at the counter. If you want a place for quiet and conversation, wait for a booth.

The bartender was rude. I stopped by for a drink, down from the Hyatt. I was totally sober, totally cordial, and in 2 different sections of the resto-bar, management were quite rude. The waiter in the restaurant was amazing though.

In more than 350 reviews I have only given one other 1 star rating. We were brought here as a 'Seattle tradition', which turns out to be bad service and worse food. Twice baked potato? Nearly soup (couldn't be eaten with a fork) with goopy orange cheese melted on top. Locally smoked salmon omelet? cold, with one little glop of cream cheese over in the corner, and overcooked. Plenty of salmon- but a lot of it was hard, crusty and (overly) dried out Ukrainian Joe? Never a beautiful dish, but this was all beige. Asian chicken salad was the only palatable dish- b/c the lettuce was fresh. The chicken was cold and tough. Those dishes, plus 1 coffee and 1 iced tea came to $81.80. The *only* good thing about that meal is that we were warm and dry.

We got off a cruise and stayed in Seattle one extra day. We were staying at an Airport hotel and walked by this place. I looked at reviews and decided to try. We sat at the bar and got to see all the action. I observed some good things and some bad things. A waiter returned eggs Benedict and said they were supposed to be soft. So I watched the staff pull off the eggs and set plate aside and make more eggs soft. I imagine by now the hash browns were cold and the muffin soggy. Should have started over. I saw a waiter stick his finger in a prime rib plate to test the temperature of the food as it had been sitting under a heat lamp. There were a few other things too. I love French onion soup so I ordered a bowl and it was just ok. The temp of the soup should have been warmer. It was not. The cheese was melted though. It was an expensive $11 bowl of mediocre soup. We also had the Turkey sandwhich and it was huge and good. It is shareable. Don’t order two. They give you veggies while you wait for your food and they were good. Overall it was expensive for what we got and what we witnessed. The bar chairs are very comfy though and the guy beside us said the clams were excellent. Maybe we just didn’t order the right items. Not sure I would repeat this place though if I make it back to Seattle.

Disappointing food….we sat at the chefs bar meaning we could watch the cooking which was not the best experience because we saw why our pasta was mushy and overcooked….it’s precooked and just thrown in pots to warm. In addition saw frozen items thrown in fryer and for the price point would expect fresher food. Overall overpriced for the quality. Will not be going back.

13 Coins is amazing! The food is absolutely phenomenal. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. The service is amazing. Our sever was outstanding, caring, and attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cool. You can see the chefs cooking, it's darker inside, and they played really great music. This experience was amazing and I will definitely be returning in the future! I would highly reccomend 13 Coins.

Met with a large group, food was fantastic and plentiful. Drinks are very good - check the specialty drink menu. But the true star here is the staff. So kind and attentive. Really impressed.

Seated in bar area even though booths available. Server was the bartender who was swamped and took over 10 mintues to take our order. Food dropped off by other staff who never checked back. Dip was too spicy and wanted to send it back but no one ever checked on us. Could not even get more water. Bartender finally came to adjacent table and we told him problem with dip. When bill came it was not removed. Paid bill so we could leave. Sent complaint to corporate office requesting refund for dip. No response.

First let me just say that Carla is amazing!!! This sweet lady knows her stuff and really gets to know her customers. We highly recommend the Lobster Mac & Cheese and I truly loved the Hummus Plate off the appetizer menu. Great atmosphere to catch a game on the multitude of t.v.'s. Overall, it was a great way to end a night before heading upstairs at the Embassy!

Okay breakfast lunch and dinner but not somewhere i would visit again. Kinda iffy when it comes to resturants and food.

This restaurant is located in the Embassy Suites, just a block from the AMTRAK train/bus station in Seattle. It is open 24/7. They have a great selection - from small bites to huge meals. The waitstaff are attentive and entertaining. Bar seating is rather extravagant, with huge, contemporary seats. You can watch the chefs at work just behind the bar. There are a couple of other locations in Seattle as well.

We were met with a snarky hostess who seemed more annoyed that we even asked for a table and that I declined to sit out on the patio. She then took us to a tiny "booth" that faced a wood paneled wall at the top of the stairs as punishment. At that point we looked around to see if we could just sit at the bar because I wasn't going to stare and talk to a wall all night instead of having a conversation with my husband. Meanwhile the kitchen counter area was completely open and when we NICELY asked to be moved she told us she would have to ask because the servers expected big parties with big tips so we needed to "take care" of him for letting us sit at his table. WHAT? The server forgot our order and had to come back to get it again. And to be clear the restaurant was not busy when we arrived at 6pm. As we sat at this huge booth we watched another party of two seated at the counter. Wonder if they were asked to tip big? The menu given was only a FRACTION of what you see online. When we asked we got a shrug and a “that’s all we have”. We enjoyed our appetizers and my steak was good but my husband's dip sandwich was just sad. More bread than anything. No offer to get additional drinks and the server kept walking over then turning back around before finally coming back to our table. Rude & lazy service all around not worth the $$$.

HORRIBLE.....took 15 mins after seating for waiter so show up. Ordered food just to be told 20 mins later that they were out of what I wanted. After another hour and a half they told another person in our group that they were now out of what she ordered....unbelievable!!!. But wait it gets better, after almost two hours we were told that the system they use to order messed up and is what caused the delay....BS. Been to 13 coins many times and it has never been this bad. The other 13 coins have been great but I stay away from this location. Update...some food finally showing up but they brought out the food a one or two at a time 15 min apart or so.....now we are at 1 hour and 40 mins in and we are still missing food orders for most in our group, some are done eating while others have nothing yet.....AGAIN DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!! Update....after two + hours the person that ordered a cheeseburger in our group JUST GOT IT!! Told the waiter again we are still missing food and he keeps telling us it is almost on it's way out. UPDATE....3 HOURS NOW AND SOME IN OUR PARTY DON'T HAVE THEIR FOOD!!!! Also some orders are wrong but at this point we are starving and just eat what they give us. Update...just over 3 hours after arriving we finally had enough and asked for the Manager (again). Different guy showed up this time. Told him we are still missing two meals but we are done and want to leave. Manager ended up comping everything but too little too late as I will never go back there.

Service was slow even when the place wasn't busy. Food had no flavor, bread on sandwiches was awful. Small servings. Way over priced for what you get. I've had better food from a gas station.

This is a top notch restaurant with great food and unequalled ambiance. They spared no expense in the decor

Fantastic service, delicious food, felt very safe. Exceptional level of cleanliness and friendliness. Could not have been better. Thank you 13 Coins for a Happy start to our day.

Waiting for the Empire Builder train out of King St. needing a place to recreate & eat. Such a wonderful place. Elysia was our server, (now does the title make sense?) wearing those delicious black stockings. I ate a marbleized rye bread corn beef sandwich with fries. My companion ate a burger. The drinks were delightful & Seattle's finest clientele are here. We offered to bring the Amtrak security back a snack but the cost was a tad prohibitive.

Went to this place with my family during the night and had a great experience.. good food, nice environment.. but most of all, the best service in Seattle so far.. the server called Tye was extremely friendly, polite and efficient.. thank so much Tye!!

We stopped here waiting on our train. Best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Service was great, too!! Sit at the bar and be entertained by the chefs!!

I was starved for some Italian food while visiting Seattle. The city does not have a huge amount of variety i.e. seafood and pizza. Italian food was scarce near the city center but I returned to my old haunt, 13 Coins. They've been around for as long as I can remember. I ordered the veal parm which was served with a perfectly crunchy breaded coating, fresh mozzarella, and a red sauce made with sauteed onions which "was to die for." I also ordered a chicken sandwich with fries but didn't care for the fries. Service was great and prices were reasonable.

We went to the airport location since it was a short walk from our hotel and was suggested by the hotel staff. Our waitress Betty Jo was the best waitress we ever had - helpful, attentive. friendly, and efficient. The menu is diner like and one can get breakfast any time of the day. We opted for two breakfasts for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

My friend and I spent four out of five nights eating here! We didn’t have one bad thing on the menu. Timmy was amazing, he was our favorite waiter! Very energetic and engaging. He gave us great recommendations and really went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed our meal. He did a great job. The only problem we had was we were sitting at the bar and the chef, who seem to be new, was complaining the entire time of our dinner service very loudly to the point where everyone at the bar could hear him complaining and griping. What was really nice to see was despite the awkwardness that we felt sitting there listening to him complain about service was some of the waiters and waitresses including Timmy started prepping food to help calm the situation. Other than that night we had an enjoyable time.

Such a cool place, leather chairs, etc. Has feel of an All-Night Diner, but fancy. Great Pre-Game stop. Free summer waterfront shuttle (all the way from Seattle Center) drops off right in front, then 2 block walk to Lumen Field. Fast, ~$30 per person w/ tax & tip. Only weird thing was bathrooms.. have to go all the way downstairs, quiet hallway, then it’s so dark in there, I was looking around for a light switch, but no, the 1 light was on, that’s just all you get!

13 Coins is a restaurant that doesn't take reservations for smaller parties. We ended up sitting at the counter in what felt like "Dr Evil" style high-backed stools. The chefs behind the counter were the highlight of the dinner. Mikyie, Cameron and Regis were all engaging and entertaining. Upon request, they make my wife's blackened chicken extra spicy, and our whole family loved the results. Other stars were the Calamari and the Veal Piccata. Unfortunately, the drinks and the bar were not good. We tried multiple cocktails, which were generally too sweet, and the cosmopolitan was unrecognizable and undrinkable. Overall it was a great experience.

This place looks pretty cool has some cool chairs that spin on the bar. The food took FOREVER to get to me though. I probably wouldnt be back

We ate here on a Wednesday evening and were very satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere!! We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak which came with fries and pickle. The waiter kindly divided it for us on two separate plates. The sandwich was delicious and so were the fries. Our waiter was exceptional. We will be back!!

I walked out of King Street Station after 2 days on a train looking for somewhere to eat. Right across the way is 13 Coins. The friendly hostess said it was fine for me to bring my luggage inside, and sat me at a nice table. The attentive waiter kept my iced tea glass full. The Caesar Salad and Lobster Mac were both excellent. I’ll be back next month on my return trip through Seattle.

Lovely atmosphere and location. Like how it is open 24 hours. A little pricey but the food would be SO much nicer if they chilled out on the salt a little. All of us had different dishes and thought exactly the same. After a while started to feel sick and couldn’t finish our meals :(

We had a few hours to occupy ourselves while we waited to board the Amtrak train to Chicago so we popped into the 13 coins for a coffee. We then came back to the restaurant an hour later for a light snack as we were peckish. My husband ordered an omelette and I ordered a sandwich. When the food arrived we looked at each other as we couldn't believe how much food there was. The food was tasty and well cooked and presented, the staff were helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. We staggered out of there an hour later and knew that we wouldn't need to eat again until the following morning! Great place but make sure you are hungry before you go in!

Thanksgiving nightmare - not just for me but for all of the guests there. 1-2 hour wait to get seated. Then a 1-2 hour wait to get our meals. And by "meal" I mean cold turkey, cold mashed potatoes, and no server to be found. Their greed must have led them to overbook far beyond their capabilities. Truly the worst restaurant experience I have had, ever. I wonder how many customer relationships they ruined with this fiasco. Blaring music, tables lined up in the downstairs bar area and packed in like a middle school cafeteria, and 30 minutes until the next time you see your server. And the food was on par with that of a middle school cafeteria. What a disgrace.

We were staying at the Pioneer Square Hotel and the 13 Coins was a short walk away. We snagged two seats at the display kitchen bar and had a fantastic time watching the chefs cooking. I had a cup of delicious clam chowder ($6), which was one of the best I've ever tasted, a small unimpressive wedge salad ($14), and a glass of KJ chardonnay ($12). Hubs had two Stellas ($6 each), a Caesar salad ($8) and the spaghetti and meatballs ($21). Total bill before tip was $80.37. Everything was good, but I thought the wedge salad and spaghetti were overpriced, but they can get away with high prices in a stadium area. As a Seattle native I am familiar with the 13 Coins restaurants and always love to watch the show in the kitchen. This location is in a very nice area with new construction and we felt safe even though it was dark. I'd come back again for a cup of their chowder.

My wife and I arrived tired and hungry to our hotel in downtown Seattle. The restaurant downstairs off the lobby of our hotel, the Embassy suites. Extremely convenient does not always provide high expectations of excellence but we found this restaurant surpassed our expectations. The Wagu beef hamburger was done extremely well, and was very delicious. My wife had the simple fish and chips dinner which was done extremely well, the card was cooked it very nicely. Our white staff was attentive pleasant and deserved the above average tip we felt we needed to give. Thank you Alan. We finished our meal with the bananas foster. We rarely indulge but this was an extremely fun and tasty treat. My wife and I would certainly encourage anyone in the area to come and eat at this restaurant.

We had a few hours wait at the amtrak station, so we checked our large bags and walked around. There were no resteraunts at the amtrak station, unlike union station in Chicago. We found 13 Coins a short walk from the station. The burger I had was well dressed with tomato, lettuce, cheese and the fries were very good. There were TVs tuned to ESPN, with college football games on.

We arrived in Seatte and was looking for dinner. Our search of restaurants led us to 13 Coins Restaurant. The restaurant seemed ‘odd’ from the moment we arrived. It was a Friday night and it was not busy. We were seated in a large booth. There were more people working there than customers. We ordered a Calamari/Jalapeno starter which came out under cooked. I had the shrimp/scallop on fettucini for a main. The seafood was rubbery and the pasta had no flavor. When I went to the restroom it was downstairs in an empty bar/club. It was an odd experience I would not repeat.

Loved the atmosphere / ambiance. Not impressed with the food. Everything I tasted had garlic…lots of garlic…too much garlic! I ordered a side order of biscuits and gravy. Garlic! So I could not eat it. My friend got a full breakfast - omelette and hash browns. I tasted the hash browns. They would normally be okay with some garlic, but again…way too much. The service was fantastic. We sat at a table, but the seats at the bar were big and cool.

While staying at the Embassy Suites, we decided to try 13 Coins for dinner one night. We had an excellent dinner and our waiter, Chuc, was fantastic. He took the time out to chat with us and was very attentive. I love that this restaurant has luxurious booths and the chairs at the bar have luxurious high backs. We had a great dinner experience here and would definitely recommend it.

It's not extraordinary but it does. The prices are somewhat high but the dishes have immense quantity. The quality is median. The care is very efficient

A very warm welcome, food was delicious. Generous portions. We would definitely go back. Steak bites were awesome and a must!

13 Coins is an awesome restaurant, opened 24 hours a day. There menu has something for everyone. It’s very comfortable, clean, and peaceful & pretty. The staff is fun and attentive. When ever in Seattle, we’ll eat there.

Great place for breakfast! Fast friendly service with big portions. Martin, our waiter, took good care of us and he’s very knowledgeable about the area.

Have gone to 13 coins - mostly at the old location in Seattle - for many years. Once upon a time it was great - always overpriced, but great food and excellent service. Had breakfast on Saturday morning - service was excellent, but food was not. First, sat at the counter and watched a chef who looked like he had slept on the street the night before, prepare food. His clothes hadn't been washed for some time -- not appetizing at all. Food prep matched the chef's appearance. Had a simple Benedict, cold hash browns, overly salty hollandaise sauce on cold (mostly untoasted) english muffin. No olives or any other garnish to make the dish look good. Sad downhill slide for this restaurant.

During five very busy days in Seattle it was convenient to dine in 13 Coins, partly because it is located in the hotel where we stayed. The food was consistently excellent, although an abbreviated menu was presented on two nights due to sporting events. Don’t miss the coconut cake. It’s over the moon.

My family ate an early Christmas Eve dinner here around 3 pm. The restaurant was very nicely decorated with an upscale feel. I liked the highback leather seats at the counter, however, my family sat at a booth for more room. The staff were super polite and friendly. The menu had a great selection of entrees which made deciding a meal difficult. I ended up ordering the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs while my wife ordered the beef ravioli. Both dishes were excellent (ended up taking home half the meal). We finished with a chocolate sundae and chocolate mousse dessert. The food was a bit pricy, but worth the splurge for Christmas Eve.

Extensive menu, 24 hours open, breakfast any time. Friendly waiters. Busy place next to Embassy Suites Pioneer Square.

Not sure if there is anything positive I can share with this place: service is slow, not attentive, deliver the wrong food and are obviously overwhelmed. The food: fire your chefs. Jambalaya was a tomato something horrible taste whatever food. TERRIBLE! Burger fatty, the Caesar salad was bad . You can buy better once in any grocery store. I don’t understand how such places can be still in business...

We have been going to the 13 Coins in downtown Seattle for over 30 years! When announced about a year ago they were moving to King Street, we were heart broken. Yesterday we dined at the new spot for lunch...and found it to be the same! Same “vibe”, same great food, same menu, same great service, same great counter and “captain chairs”! In other words, nothing b8t the address has changed...and the new location is lighter and newer! Yay!

13 Coins is a place that used to seem way overpriced, but now seems about normal for what you get. They serve breakfast all day, and their signature Eggs Benedict is delicious. If you make a reservation, you can sit in one of their big formal booths that are really nice. I was alone without a reservation, so they sat me in the lounge. It was fine, but not the atmosphere I remember. The food was every bit as good as I hoped, but the service felt rushed. Which was weird because it wasn’t crowded at all on a Sunday evening. My waitress made a mistake and charged my card for the wrong table, but she told me about it, and apologized. I’ll watch my credit card, but I’m sure it will be fine. I felt bad for her, I don’t think she understood that I was just happy she told me. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. I talked to a couple that had the steak and they said it was amazing.

We ordered pickup from 13 Coins while staying in the hotel. Service was fast and easy, and everything was hot and delicious.

When you’re in town 36 hours and you eat three meals at the same restaurant it must be good Maybe I should say great this place is the best you can’t go out and sit at the counter and watch how a real restaurant is run The food is to die for you just can’t go wrong here you could literally close your eyes and stick your finger on the three page menu and you would be happy with whatever you got I highly recommend spinach salad as a starter we had the spaghetti and meatballs it’s more than two people can eat the breakfast serve 24/7 It’s a good thing I don’t live in Seattle because I would be eating here twice a day Don’t miss this place on your way to a ball game or just hanging out downtown full bar in the back TVs and good music You can thank me later for this tup !!

So sorry to advise my calamari steak had an ever so slight ammonia taste. I went there on a Monday and I've heard it's not a good idea to order fish on Monday. I just paid my bill and left. Nice server.

multiple menu items and execution of so many different dishes sit upfront and watch the chefs go to work . Had a great late dinner last night after it cleared our from the Stones concert and loved it and talking to the guys. Will be eating each time and more next time in Seattle staying at the Embassy or not. Great job

We had breakfast and the food was excellent would highly recommend. The service was pretty much slow to non-existent with anyone checking in to see if we needed anything or to take our order otherwise I would have given 5/5. To be fair I’m sure they’re facing the same labour shortage as everyone else. Definitely would go back.
Fantastic Food, Cocktails & Service!!!
My best friend & I we’re headed back to Eugene on a train leaving King St. Station! We had a few hours to kill & we’re hungry so spotted 13 Coins Restaurant right down from the train station! By the way a lady we ran into while in Seattle had highly recommended 13 Coins! We were seated within 5 minutes in their awesome diner chairs!! Huge & comfy chairs! Kevin was our waiter, the menu was so amazing & we couldn’t decide but Kevin was very helpful & patient with us! We ended up enjoying the blackened chicken sandwich & the Monte Cristo which were both exceptional! And we tried all 4 of there specialty cocktails & all 4 were the bomb!! Overall I would highly recommend & will stop again next time I’m in Seattle, I’d like to try their pastas they sound delicious! Thanks for a fun lunch 13 Coins!
