Family of four stopped by based on reviews on yelp. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. The food was average and coffee was typical. Wouldn’t avoid eating here but better options available elsewhere. Also they didn’t have toast which felt odd.

Thanks to Yelp, we found this small inconspicuous restaurant. We loved our breakfast Tiramisu French Toast and Crab Royale so much that came back for lunch 2 days later--and they did not disappoint. Loved the atmosphere of this small Marina Del Rey place, clearly blossoming in a restaurant-saturated area. Service was wonderful, and the furnishings so inviting and cozy. Too bad it can't be transported to Chicago. Oh, and Sushi Burgers were unbelievable!

Went last night for an early dinner with a friend. The waiter (Jeff) was very accommodating as my friend wanted something that was not on the menu. He was very attentive and pleasant. There are three areas to sit in. One area is like an enclosed patio and the other side more of like a regular dining area and a small bar area. We chose to sit in the bar area that had very comfortable booth seating which you don't find much these days. They had wild salmon which I ordered as it is not all that easy to find a place that has wild caught salmon. It was a large piece. Cooked to perfection and tasty. The mashed potatoes were plentiful as well as the green beans that came with it. I have plenty left over for at least another night. We ordered a couple sides and each had plenty to split between 2 people. We had left overs of those to take home also. No complaints. It was reasonably priced and we will be back again.

At $18.50, the Kobe burger ain't cheap, but it's very good. My son-in-law and I each had one (with salads instead of fries) along with a frosty beer. My daughter and niece each had humongous salads which were fresh and beautiful, and the two toddlers had quesadillas. We also shared a nice ceviche. Pretty ho-hum digs.

do not even think about going to 26 Beach Cafe if you are watching your calorie intake because you will not be able to deny yourself the deliciousness that awaits you! the french toast was, hands down, the BEST french toast i have ever tasted, as was the french toast breakfast sandwich (hubs and i went halfsies) it is super eclectic with a playful vibe and the perfect place to spend my birthday morning with my best friend. highly recommend for special occasions!

Best breakfast ever. Very Berry and the Peach Melba were a hit. Project a happy thought when considering where your next breakfast will be. You will not be disappointed.

Fabulous place for brunch with an out of this world menu. Took quite a while to choose and I was not disappointed with the food. Excellent. Also a great place for an expresso which is a rarity in los angeles in my experience.

We've been here at least 4 times and we love it. The best burgers - California burger and Cattleman burgers never disappoint - flavorful, juicy - cooked to perfection. Recently had soft shell crab special - delicious!! Service is terrific- very attentive. Love the decor!

There are SO many things to choose from! Whether you’re gluten free, vegetarian, or just a picky eater, there’s something on the menu for every type of eater. We had the churro French toast to share and it was u real. I had the shrimp Cesar salad that was also delicious but would do without the tomatoes. They don’t take reservations so be prepared to wait a little for brunch. Definitely worth it.

Went here with friends for a Sunday brunch — best decision I’ve made in years!!! Phenomenal atmosphere and incredible food. Highly recommend to everyone!

Huge variety menu and fair prices. Unusual menu items, all delicious. Parking in back or street. Minutes from Marina del Rey and Venice Beach (home of the daily freak show). Been there a few times. Alway good.

This little restaurant is a treasure. I went there for brunch with my family on a Saturday and we all had our minds blown. Among the nine of us, every single dish we ate was stellar. Because the large menu made it really hard to decide on just one option, I shared the S'mores french toast and the breakfast sandwich with my sister. Both were HUGE portions (we may have been better off just getting one dish!) and couldn't have been more tasty. The restaurant is a bit of a tight squeeze but has a cool vibe with pink fuzzy umbrellas outside and eclectic chairs and funky wall art within. I'll definitely go here again next time I'm in LA!

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious food with wonderful menu. Ordered the sushi burger because where else can you get one? Cauliflower wings with curry sauce also delicious. The deco is spot on.

Very good food both our dishes were delicious. First thing though make a reservation they take them online or you can call otherwise you will wait a bit as it was very busy when we went it was a Sunday. I had the spicy tuna burger and it tasted hits like the sushi wow my taste buds were blown away. I also tried two of there drinks and I was unimpressed for $10 drinks they should have been better so just stick to basic drinks or nonalcoholic drinks all together. There was street parking right outside found a spot right when we pulled up. Overall a very good meal and would recommend it to anyone.

Great feel/vibe, decor is unique and fun...I'd say shabby chic and food is the same. Service excellent and food great! So nice to find something a little different that is also so good, had a great time. Sat at the bar which is so fun as you can see all the food coming out of the kitchen.

What a different menu! Pasta and Eggs! and a Mimosa that was out of this world with an edible flower.!

Travelling to Venice Beach from the Airport we decided to stop off ay 26 Beach Café for lunch. It was such a great little cafe with quirky décor and great choice of food. My friend wanted something sweet and opted for the Nutella Smores French Toast and I wanted something Savoury so I got the pulled chicken sandwich. The portions were very big, fairly priced and delicious. I would definitely return.

We dined here for lunch with friends. The place is a bit eclectic, and the tables are super close together, but the food was fantastic. I enjoyed a steak salad, and the cilantro dressing was amazing!! Service was also excellent. Lots of good choices on the menu, and I had a hard time deciding. Highly recommend!

Made reservations thru Opentable and still waited after arrival @ 20 minutes and it's out on the sidewalk although they put water and a few seats out there. The "patio" dining is actually on the street and is not an area enclosed by fence. Cute interior but we were seated at a banquette table in a smaller dining room with tables sooo close if someone at the table next to us got up my BF had to pick up our champagne stand and bucket each time so it wouldn't be knocked over. The larger lighter room is where you want to be. I ordered the Greek Lamb Chops and all but 3 bites were fat and gristle. BF had the "chopped" chicken breast marsala which was tasty buy why chop it into small cubes as for a child....because it's mainly mushrooms and little chicken so you won't know you're not getting a full breast. We got the pitcher of Mimosas and it came with a tiny carafe of OJ....requested more. Everything is extra...side of bbq sauce, extra dressing, $2.00 for add bleu cheese? Skip the $8 cheesy toast. Parking in back is so tiny and maybe 10 spots. A week or two later I got a message from Opentable asking why we "no-showed"......

Stopped by from our nearby AirBnB house, we had the French toast, don't remember name, so many different kinds...ours had some chocolate and was excellent! We got an extra order to take back home. Service was very good and prices moderate. Nice décor. Reservations advised or you'll have a wait.

We had a fantastic breakfast at 26 Beach, the Triple Play was extremely enjoyable. Surprisingly, what’s not on the menu is the basket of fresh-baked warm bread, make sure to ask your waiter/waitress for it. One critique, the hash browns were slightly underdone but still very tasty. Parking the rear is limited and tight but a definite must go if you are in the neighborhood

What a neat place to get introduced to SoCal! Big group of 9 was a little tight, but their burgers were worth the wait after a 4.5 hour flight from ATL!

Lunch/brunch was fantastic. Drinks are hand crafted, well made and authentic. I had King Kobe burger. Ordered it med rare, almost never is it served this way. Mine came out medium, but was moist and delicious. Absolutely huge though. Two people could share. Goat cheese salad was also great. Three huge balls of goat cheese. Fries were a little bit of a disappointment. Not as crisp as I would like.

We went here with a group of 6 people on a Sunday and this was an eclectic place near Venice Beach. We had a great experience and our server was friendly and food / drinks came out very fast. There is a large variety of the menu and we had entrees ranging from the Crab Royal and Garden Royal to a burger to churro French toast. The rose mojito was also a favorite - cool spot and big portions!

First impression, wow! Friendly staff, takes time to explain their food selection. Unique ambiance, relaxing feel - we don't even want to leave! Food was great - don't forget to try their French toasts. Not sure how crowded they are during other times, but I would definitely recommended coming early for breakfast.

It is hard to describe this place. Think of it like a Mexican restaurant that focuses on burgers and sushi, or more specifically sushi on burgers. Everyone loved their food. The service was good, and definitely extremely unique menu items. I had their top option, which was essentially a burger with California roll toppings. I asked for the burger medium well, and it was more like medium rare, so that was a negative. I ended up eating half the burger the way it was delivered, and then the second half by taking the california roll stuff off and eating it separately and then the burger separately. That was actually better, IMO. I did take off one point for the burger prepared wrong, as the saying goes, "You had one job," and they didn't get that right. The food was also pretty expensive for a burger place. But again the other people I was with loved their food.

My friend and I could decide between the Pasta with Chilean Bass and clams or the Cioppino. We both decided on the pasta. Great marinara and a good quantity of fresh seafood. The wives were very happy with their salads they ordered for dinner. We can’t wait to go back and try the cioppino:)

The food was solid, but nothing to write home about. I ordered the stuffed French toast, which had me excited, right up until the point that the plate arrived at my table and I realized that it was just a breakfast sandwich with French Toast as the bread. Which left me wishing I would have explored another menu option. Price to value wasn’t really there for me. Disappointed that there weren’t any bottomless options or even pitchers available, for this to be a brunch spot. I will say that this location is very picturesque if you are so inclined to “do it for the gram” you can definitely leave with a few good pictures.

Delicious meal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were a group of 8 and they were so helpful and pleasant. The food was amazing. Big portions as well. Well worth the trip.

I went with my friends on a Wednesday. The ambiance was great in view of the dazzling and colorful Christmas trees. The service was excellent. I loved the place so much, I decided to take my family there. It was a pleasurable experience. Comes Saturday night and I went with my family expecting the best experience. The receptionist sat us in a dingy place near the cash register where we couldn’t see anyone dining in the restaurant. We ordered what I thought would be the tallest hamburgers that I had seen someone else eat during the previous visit. The food arrived, a short and flat 8 oz burger with lettuce . It looked pathetic. I called the waiter to ask why I didn’t get the tall burger, but he didn’t know what I was talking about. His attitude was callous and nonchalant. We were served tap water in a tiny glass with no ice. In short , the hamburgers were terribly below normal and the service was lousy and the seating lacked the ambiance. I called the manager a few days later and explained our dilemma at the time and he just said he was sorry. I expected him to be shocked, but he wasn’t. A very disappointing experience the second time around. I would not frequent this much lauded restaurant again because you never know what you’re going to get.

Like sushi? Like burgers? Can't decide which to have? Have both! I had the California Roll Hamburger, and my daughter had the Brie Burger. Both were really amazing. The menu is long with artisan burgers, stuffed french toasts, scrambles, salads, entrees, and pastas. Crazy variety of foods, and the staff is great, very patient and helpful. We had the banana bread pudding for dessert, and sat in the Breakfast at Tiffany's booth. Great dining experience.

Great spot for a group with sheltered outdoor seating and an indoor space. The menu is strong. We shared the Brussels sprouts and loved their crispy goodness. I loved my Cajun shrimp paperdelle - rich, tasty and a little kick. The lamb chops also seemed especially good. Service was very good. Only oddity is a limited bar with a bunch of cocktails and Margaritas, but no regular call drinks.

We didn't eat at 26 Beach, instead having dinner delivered by LABites. Can't comment on the service, atmosphere, etc. but the food was pretty good. They have one of those menus where it's hard to decided (a good thing but frustrating seeing all those entries you can't get). I got their equivalent of a western bacon cheeseburger with a salad. The patty itself was a bit bland, no spices I could detect, but the toppings were excellent. The burger was big and they didn't skimp on toppings. The salad was good, greens instead of just iceberg lettuce. My wife got the BBQ chicken flat bread. Sort of a pizza things with cole slaw, pickles, etc. in addition to the chicken. Quite tasty and plenty of food. We shared some demi fries, regular french fries smothered in demi glace, sauteed mushrooms and onions along with gouda cheese. Yummy and way too much to finish. Not including delivery and tip, the meal was under $40.

My husband and I visited 26 Beach Cafe on our last morning in Los Angeles before flying out to Hawaii. We had a delicious brunch! We started with garlic bread with cheese, which was excellent and probably too filling. I had a cream-cheese-and-strawberry-filled french toast, which was delicious without being too sweet. My husband had a burger, which he enjoyed. The service was a bit slow but friendly. It was pretty busy on the day we went. The price was reasonable. We would definitely recommend this place!

We were a group of 10, Manager was not helpful with splitting the bill or taking multiple credit cards, according to her all rules were set in stone and could not be changed, food was not great either, lots of it but nothing really good, our waiter was very sweet. We meet once a week as a group for lunch and can tolerate not so good food as we just love to get together, but here none of us would ever go back because of these ridiculous rules , so I think to lose a group (because you are too lazy to make separate checks) of 10 which comes out to about $300 or more for lunch is just dumb.

Dined there on a Thursday night and we loved the decor, service and food. Best of all, us 6 girls were chatting away in a corner booth and only by the time we left realized we were the last ones. Turns out the place had closed 50min ago already - but no one kicked us out and they just let us have fun. That is amazing. We felt bad we had them stay around for us, but it was so kind of them to let us have a good time. That’s the kind of place I’m going back to!! Thank You 💕

My daughter went for lunch. We both thought the food was very good. Decor was fun shabby chic and tastefully done. Service was rude or slow and rude! Maybe our tab was too small, not sure. Also, park behind the restaurant.

I have been to this place a couple of times.. and it never disappoints. The menu has so many items that it is hard to narrow down what you want. Love the atmosphere.. it has funky pictures, fun colors, the decor just makes you happy... I can say I am hooked! Food was fab!!! We had a salad, soup, burger, flatbread and then for dessert shared a S'more French Toast. OMG it is really divine! everything was AWESOME! go on a weekday, if you don't want a big wait. Or heck, if you have time.. WAIT!! IT is so worth the wait!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

If you're visiting the west LA / marina / venice / culver city / santa monica areas, come to 26 Beach for a fantastically delicious brunch experience. The feature here is their French Toast! So if you love french toast, you're in for a treat. They have a huge selection of french toast options, from savory to sweet, with ice cream or bacon -- and each of them is incredibly delicious. I haven't had them all yet, but I will some day. Also, they have mimosas and other spirits to start your morning off right. Servers are always quick, friendly, and attentive. Whenever I have visitors in town I bring them here. Come early or be prepared for a little bit of a wait. If you're not a bruncher, but you love burgers, then this place is also great for lunch and dinner. They have a huge selection of unique burgers, including special burgers of the week as well as a full-on variety menu of standard American fare.

Absolutely Fantastic food great service and huge portions at reasonable prices..qell done great atmosphere Greta for couples or family.

Went for dinner here as a spontaneous trip out! Staff were very friendly and the chef came to say hello! Offers a great choice and variety of dinners, and vegetarian options! service was very quick and we weren't hurried out! Would recommend having one of the burgers! All very reasonably priced too!

I've been there for dinner. I've found there fast service, good food, nice staff. I've tasted a burger with french fries.

This place has a fabulous brunch menu; all the eggs, French toast every way possible, you name it... The food was great and the service faultless. Good portions so go hungry.

Went for brunch with my husband and 2 kudos ages 10 and 14. I ordered the Crab Royal, it eggs scrambled with bacon, cheese and real crab topped with melted cheese over brown rice. Sounds weird but it's sooooo good! Hubby got the 4-A which is scramble but with 3 or 4 different types of sausage, super good. My son said his Baja scramble was awesome. I tried it I have to agree. My daughter said her egg sandwich was ok, I think compared to our scrambles it wasn't exciting. We sat in the covered patio area, very cute. They also have outside and indoor. Page definite try if you're in the area. Go early, we got there at 9:45 and walked in, it was packed and there was 30 people waiting when we left an hour later.

I loved the service, the food, the decor... Everything! We were 9 people on a Sunday morning without reservation and we only had to wait 15 minutes until they accommodate us without problem. Service was quick and easy and the food ESPECTACULAR! Highly recommended!

We had lunch at this motel one Friday and they had a good happy hour going with reasonalby priced drinks and discounted appetizers and hamburgers. The food and the service were good. We would eat there again.

A very nice atmosphere at this restaurant, wide menu selection, and generous helpings of the main course. The meals all came out together for our group, piping hot, and cooked as ordered. Not cheap, but the food was excellent and plentiful. Very good service also. Would definitely go back.

Sometimes we just want a simple, less complicated delicious food. Life is simple and 26 Beach provides our daily favourites. French Toasts, Eggs dishes, Pastas, or Bagels. Some sandwiches, meatballs, flat breads are alternatives that we can always have on daily basis. Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch. And they serves generous portion.

Fantastic food! Made reservations so we didn't have to wait! We had Eggs Florentine over brown rice, Reese's stuffed French Toast which is peanut butter stuffed inside French Toast drizzled with fudge sauce on top (perfect balance), also tried the Peach Melba, caramelized peaches with concentrated raspberry drizzle, pecans cooked in a maple glaze poured on top of croissant French Toast, ice cream and French Toast L Orange with Grand Marnier sauce with Marscapone over a croissant French Toast. We also tried the shrimp and crab salad (not sure of the proper name). Coffee and Cappuccino are magnificent too! I recommend that before you go here to take a look at their menu online since everything is delicious and it's hard to decide what to order. Well worth the price!!! Waitresses are friendly too!

Several members of our Running Group chose this restaurant to celebrate the Birthdays of two of our members at a Sunday Brunch. This restaurant is located near Marina Del Rey and, I understand, was the former location of The Black Whale restaurant on Washington Blvd. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices of the restaurant for a Sunday Brunch. Each of us selected different items from their menu (this is not a buffet brunch) and each of us was more than satisfied with our selection. The atmosphere was great, the service was fast, professional and friendly, and the food was delicious. I will return to this restaurant!!!!

If you have a choice between going here for lunch or dinner, make it lunch. It is just that kind of place. I was there for dinner. Sigh. Menu looks good, but the food does not live up to it. I had the salmon burger for $18 with fries and a side salad. The fries were basically tasteless, and the salmon burger was not juicy. The service was like watching the Keystone Cops run around. They kept changing waiters on us, each one introducing themselves. It was confusing. As was the order of french fries that came with our drinks before any of the other food. I asked why they did that and was told that the fries should have gone to another table but were misdirected to ours. Seriously!!! It is a neighborhood beach place. Really in Venice, not Santa Monica. I do not see myself returning, but the salads looked good. :-)) It is casual in feel, not particularly welcoming, and mid priced. The parking is in back - enough for about 6 cars. Hard to find street parking. Hopefully they were just having an off night when I was there, :-)))

We were welcomed from the moment we walked in. We sat on the terrace side, funky and fun. Our waitress, Paula was exceptional. She & 2 others had just buzzed their hair for charity! A true commitment of giving and caring for a friends dilemma with cancer. A sensational menu of multiple choices! We had the fried goat salad with beautiful dressing and fruit. A peanut butter, jelly & banana burger! Wowzer, who would have guessed it to be awesome, but it was. Also a date & goat cheese burger that was delectable. A mango drink specialty was delish as well. It is easy to recommend 26 Beach Cafe. Enjoy your visit!

My sister likes coming to 26 Beach Cafe, and I can understand why. The place has great design and ambiance, and nice staff. My meal tonight was the Chicken Parmesan pasta, and I liked it. The chicken was moist, the cheese was yummy, and the pasta was great. I would also recommend my sister's chicken curry pasta. Surprisingly, the curry wasn't so powerful in its spice, so I actually liked it. I liked 26 Beach. I come here every time I get a chance.

OMG - the most insanely deliciously decadent brunch menu. Not for the faint of heart! Prepare for total carb and sugar overload, so worth it! And the coffee was good and robust and the service was great.

We had a total blast here! It has a great atmosphere and the wait staff was fun and on top of it. I would 100% recommend this place for you to hang out with friends, especially if you have the Nutella French Toast.

Just go there. Just order the California Roll Burger. Just stop reading this and do it. You will thank me!

If you like French Toast you'll love 26 Beach. I go here for Sunday Brunch, so many different options of French Toast that it's hard to pick a flavor. I keep going back just to try something different you will too.

Every time I visit LA I make it a priority to visit, the maui royale omelette is phenomenal and probably the best omelette I've ever had The coffee is also fantastic and the waiters are lovely, the cafe itself is decorated really nicely

26 Beach Cafe was only 2 blocks down from where I stayed. Due to its elegant decors and stylish exterior, I assumed it was some sort of a cocktail lounge which I am not a fan of. I stayed in Marina del Rey for 13 days but didn't visit this place until the last evening of my stay. My boyfriend and I were too lazy to go out to eat but after searching for dining options nearby, we decided to hit 26 Beach. The menu looked like they offered something we can't miss. We ordered the Napa Burger (the dijon mustard sauce... so on point) and Maytag Burger (perfect for blue cheese lovers). We are glad we did not get a starter because the burgers came with sides -- choice of salad or fries. It was plenty of food! The beef patties were tender and juicy. Will come back for the famous sushi burgers next time I visit LA :) Also 5 stars for the decor. I loved the chandeliers and paintings.

A friend of mine took me to this restaurant which is half indoors and half outdoors under a cover which is really cool and I just loved the salad variety. I told my husband about it and he was VERY skeptical, but after going there once, now everytime we are in the Marina Del Rey area, he is the one that wants to go there.

We ordered takeout from here one night and it was delicious. I got a gluten free steak, with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. I highly recommend this place. Fast delivery, delicious food and accommodates dietary restrictions well.

Went there with a large party and we were given a private room with a large rectangular table. Lots of lots to choose from the menu! I had a stuffed French toast. There were various types of waffles with fruit on top, etc. beautiful presentation and tasted delicious. A lot of the dishes come with rice and beans so it does have a Mexican feel to it as well. Coffee kept coming and we enjoyed having the private room with our party of 13. An enjoyable brunch was had by all!

I had the Peach Melba French Toast. 2 "croissant" French toasts, caramelized peaches, vanilla ice cream drizzled with melba sauce. It was excellent. The coffee was also very good.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing plates and drinks. There are tons of menu we can try so should check the menu before I guess. I've tried "crab burger" and it was FANTASTIC! Even side dish salad was perfect. Pizza was good enough but burger is the best.

Fantastic Pesto chicken sandwich. They serve the whole very large menu for most of the day Breakfast ends at 3 I believe. Staff was very attentive. Food was great. We were seated immediatley at around 9:30 am by 10:30 they were full.

A world of it’s own, fantastic big indulgent breakfasts. Fun decor and lovely staff. This was our last meal in LA and what a brilliant pick. Will recommend this to everyone.

We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant on our weekend visit to LA. They had good, fresh mimosas. The churro French toast was absolutely amazing and the Baja Benedict was just to die for. The service was great, everyone was very nice and helpful. Not to mention the place itself is just so cute. We sat on the patio, so adorable!

Hmm, the review might have been better if they had not added more to my cc charge. The gathering of friends made for an awesome day and to make it enjoyable, I returned to 26 Beach. The place was busy and likely why our food did not make it to the table at the same time.I ordered the Big Daddy's Blue Plate bc I wanted Chicken wings, French toast and eggs. I was disappointed with the wings and the french toast was barely warm and no butter???? My friend ordered The Stuffed One (strawberry & cream cheese stuffed french toast)! and a side of bacon with the bacon being so over done and hard you coulda used it as a knife. The other Friend ordered the crab royal and said it was good but said nothing about the side of French toast, the shay's champagne surprise must have kicked in, friend said drink was good. Despite s few bump, we enjoyed our time and the service from everyone! I used my CC and signed for the bill amount ONLY leaving a $20.00 cash tip with the cc slip. Now I wrote the exact amount of the bill and 0 in the tip area so imagine my surprise when I went to pay my cc bill on Tuesday and found the charge was higher than I wrote or signed for!!!!!!! I guess the server thought she deserved a 31.75% tip ($29.00) I called the restaurant and have been calling and all I get is the runaround with the promise I will be called back.... Still no call or reversal of the over charge!?!?!? It really is not the $$$$, it's the principle and theft!! Do yourselves a favor and check your cc charge bc there is someone committing fraud and stealing by adding a TIP after being given CASH! Will never return or recommend!! The mgmt here has no interest in calling back the customer only in taking your $$$

Our friends who live in LA made the reservation based on the recommendation of several people. They gave us the private room In the back (good thing since there were younger children with us) which was very nice. The burgers were unique and delicious. I'm usually not one for burgers but they are known for them and rightfully so. We tried the chef sushi burger - sounds so weird, but it works. The house salad was also delish. Our son had the Texas burger which was also great. Pricing seemed fair for quantities, but like anything in CA a little on the high side. A great first meal on our first night in Cali.

We recently visited our son in LA, and his girlfriend recommended 26 Beach for brunch on our first morning. Loved the vibe, loved the decor, loved the food, and loved the service. Seriously - this was the perfect start to our vacation. Everyone in our party of 6 loved his/her entree, and we all enjoyed mimosas. I highly recommend this place! We will definitely go back!!

This friendly restaurant has a great menu and great food. The lamb chops are famous, the salmon is excellent and I have always had a great meal. They have a free parking lot on the east side of the restaurant and if it is filled one can find street parking behind the restaurant. When you walk in you can pick the room to the left for a bright, fun atmosphere and to the right the light is more subdued and romantic.

The front desk staff at our hotel recommended this restaurant and we were very happy with it. Great, large salads, and many other interesting burger varieties on the menu. Menu gave you the option of ordering an organic burger, which was a nice option for people worried about eating "conventional" beef.

Really fun place to meet for lunch with unexpectedly amazing burgers. I had the burger with blue cheese and it was simply amazing. Great spot and will definitely be returning.

Food was fantastic - had the corned beef hash and it was super delicious. Staff was attentive and coffee was delicious. The deco was uber cute! Not great for morning business meeting - it get's a bit loud but definitely a good place for girls brunch!

This kitschy place located near the beach in Venice is known for its large menu. You can order almost anything and know that it will be well made. The burgers were particularly good and they come with a whole host of different toppings. I recommend the cattleman which has a great BBQ sauce and bacon. I devoured it. The fries are also good but not top of the line. Could have been crisper. There was also a flatbread with pesto which was melt in your mouth delicious.. My son had the banana bread pudding which he recommends highly. Just a nice place for a casual dinner, not fancy but tasty! Very good lemonade.

Close to Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach, went to 26 Beach because it was listed one of the best burger places in L.A. I had the NY Mile High Burger which is a burger with corned beef, cole slaw, and russian dressing, a NY deli sloppy joe with a burger. Great burger piled high. My companion had the famous sushi burger, a burger with sushi. She enjoyed it also. Supposedly, a great place for breakfast also.

Super cute place to do brunch with family and friends. Sat outside in the patio where they had super cute decorations! Went during the weekday so was not busy at all plus they had specials on their breakfast/brunch items. Had $5 mimosas, who doesn't love that and tried their breakfast sandwich, that was super filling. Staff was friendly and food came out in a timely manner. Staff could have been a little more attentive but overall had a really great experience!

They have an extensive menu if the best French toast recipes ! Something for every one but be warned they are HUGE but utterly delicious ! They are also famous enough for there burgers particularly there " SUSHI " burger ( it's the only place your get it ) which is amazing and a must try ! Book if you can as it gets busy especially at the weekend , we've done brunch , lunch and dinner many times and never been disappointed .

Poor customer service. I ordered online with a delivery AP. One of the burgers came with no bun. A mistake on my part. The server I talked to when I called immediately told me that the mistake was mine. She could see how such a mistake could be made but instead of offering to send another burger she was busy telling me what I did wrong.Their default should have been how they could have had a satisfied customer, (a repeat one.) There are many other choices in the Marina del Rey/Venice area. Too bad I won't be ordering from 26 Beach Cafe again.

We had just arrived in Venice Beach and had spotted 26 Beach Cafe while en route to our nearby hotel (The Kinney). Our waitress was extremely friendly and pleasant (despite having to wear a mask and face shield!), and she helped us with our menu selections by giving us good advice. I had the chicken salad sandwich; my wife had one of their flatbreads and our son had a sushi burger ---- and everything was wonderful. My son's sweet potato fries were fantastic, as was my side salad. We give this restaurant a huge thumbs up!

The set up is eclectic for sure, the vibe welcoming and laid back. We went over the whole menu and decided on the speciality which is French Toast😀 We ordered the "stuffed one" which was filled with strawberry preserves & cream cheese with sliced strawberries as garnish, the "Lemon Curd" which was quite tart, and side order of applewood bacon. The stuffed one was yummy, the Lemon curd just ok and the bacon over priced, we've had much better bacon! We did see other plates come out that looked pretty good including the burgers! The wait staff was good but we've had better servers too! Overall not bad so if we're in the area again, we might come back but would not go out of our way!

What a charming restaurant!! We met family here for a luncheon get together. Our party of 8 was given a private room in the back. It was cool to have our privacy, and catch up with the family. The 5 star ambiance of the entire restaurant was quite eclectically awesome. They have such a diverse menu. So many choices!! Actually, it was probably too many options cause I think I chose wrong. I picked their Pesto Shrimp Pizza. Although it tasted okay, I was left underwhelmed. My wife felt the same way about her order. I recommend you do what we should have done. Ask your waiter or waitress what they suggest. I will do that next time.

We came to this restaurant with high hopes. A burger restaurant in USA, how can it not be good? The restaurant itself was a nice place, good decor and friendly staff. We ordered two burgers with fries and we got tasteless hamburger and over cooked fries. How hard is it to cook fries correctly? The hamburger was tasteless except for the extra toppings. We wished we had gone to McD’s or similar. Horrible.

This is a hidden gem...from the outside looks we almost passed, once we went inside it's delightful....airy, fun decor, etc. our brunch was amazing! Fabulous French toast dishes...anything you can imagine...my daughter asked for the Reese's pieces because she saw it online but it wasn't on the menu and they said no problem. She loved it! Great mimosas too! Definitely recommend a visit for a nice breakfast or brunch.

Rustic decor in this restaurant ,with some amusing posters.this is essentially a hamburger restaurant with a varied hamburger and drinks menu.very good service and very good hamburgers but quite expensive. One small caprese, two hamburgers ,no drinks including tax and service cost fifty dollars.

What a brilliant place! Visited for dinner one evening (Thank you, Alex!) and brunch another day (Thank you, Candice and Crystal!). We just loved the quirky vibe and decor. The menu was impressive and the food good. Mimosas at brunch were delicious, too. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Dropped by for a late brunch, not the most stylish of Cafes but the good service and pleasant attitude of all the staff really made a difference and they do serve a pretty good brunch at reasonable prices, hard to fault!

Fun restaurant on the outskirts of Venice with an enormous range of burger choices for all palates. Salads were also enormous: We all brought them home and enjoyed them for another meal.

We had breakfast here based on reviews recommending the cafe. The breakfast burrito was tasty but had a lot of rice and not much egg. The huevos rancheros were very disappointing, tasting sour rather than spicy, with a very sloppy presentation. The coffee was weak and tasteless. For the price it was very disappointing. On the positive side, the service was prompt and efficient, and the decor was quirky and interesting.

Went for a quick bite to eat after landing at the airport. Had a veggie burger (homemade party was the best I've had) and delicious fries. Hoping to go back before I have to leave!!

We walked 20 minutes from our vacation rental to this place. We passed up at least 3 breakfast places on the way but they had lower ratings. First impression... Sooooo charming. Mismatched tables and chairs (shabby chic). I was seated on a cushioned bench with a big pink furry pillow behind me. Cute coffee cups; all unique. The menu had so many interesting and tempting options! Hard to choose. Service was very friendly, professional, and prompt. I ordered the chilequiles... Deelish. Hubbie ordered the Calf. Roll Katsu burger... Also great but huge. You could easily share the burger with someone. Hubby also said that the flavor was so rich and distinctive that after eating 1/2 of it... He wanted a change of flavor. So we wrapped the other half and he finished off my chilequiles. We came on a Sunday at 10ish... Soon after we arrived, it got crowded quick. So come early. Next time I may try some french toast... There were so many varieties.

It was 26 Beach for our annual reunion with friends that go back 25 years. I was told to be sure to be hungry as this is the place to hit the spot. It was a very impressive menu of burgers as well as a whole lot of other stuff. You can come back here everyday and try something new and you wouldn't even come close to repeating. Aside from burgers, they have steaks, pastas and other main courses. But now back to the burgers, this is more of the gourmet or fusion kind. Huge portions, definitely filling, worth considering sharing [but there's a surcharge] or splitting for take home. The burgers will challenge how wide your mouth will open but it is so worth it. I tried 2 of the sushi burgers [split with a friend] and enjoyed it immensely. It didn't taste how I thought it would but definitely a thumbs up. Service is snappy but beware, reservations are a must as its a hot ticket place. There is ample parking in the back too.

Really enjoyed our Sunday brunch here. Portions are LARGE and very filling. We got some of the french toast dishes and shared them so we could try several. All of them were delicious but I think my favorite ended up being the Peach Melba. The decor is nice too, although my friend was a little disappointed that they had change it since she was there last. I think she was excited to show us the previous funky decor with realistic looking butterflies. I would go back here for sure. Prices were decent. Staff was friendly. Service was quick.

The dining area was a bit dim and so hard to read the menu. The walls were covered with love themes - think there was a story but couldn't read the menu. The drinks, especially bloody mary's were good. Watch out for the Diablo appetizer - incredibly spicy hot. The steak and duck were excellent. The lab chops were somewhat thin for the price. Veggies and mashed potatoes were tasty.

We normally go to 26 Beach for their fabulous brunch when we are in LA. There is usually a very long line to get in. Tonight, we went for birthday dinner with a large party. This wasn't our first choice since we don't normally think of this place for dinner, but the restaurant my son chose for dinner was closed. It was also Super Bowl. Lots of places were closed. They seated us right away. The waitress was so responsive and so nice. The food was excellent. They have a wonderful extensive dinner menu from salads to burgers, pasta and regular dinner type entrees. They have very unusual burgers, and I had a Thai burger with a peanut sauce. I substituted turkey for beef. I had a side salad with a light house vinaigrette. Others had burgers with chili, bacon, Brie, so many. 2 were vegetarians and one had a fried goat cheese salad and one (a pescatarian) had a seafood salad. All excellent. My only complaint was that the Thai chili vinegar that came with my burger on the side was super salty. They had a large selection of exotic and domestic hot tea which was perfect for the chilly evening. A perfect, delicious evening.

My friend, who lives in LA, suggested this spot for lunch before I had to head to LAX to return to the Midwest. This is one of her favorite breakfast locations. Since we arrived after lunch (around 3:30), it was easy to find a parking spot on Washington within steps of the restaurant. (My friend said it's extremely busy on the weekends; therefore, one might not be so lucky to find such close parking then). The decor was very eclectic with a combination of benches with pillows, wire chairs and one of a kind wall art. Plus, the menu had many unusual combinations. My friend ordered a BBQ chicken salad that came with a huge serving of avocado. It also came with sour dough bread. I couldn't resist tasting a piece (Oprah is not the only one who loves bread). It was crunchy and fresh. I forced myself to only eat one piece. I was intrigued by the Kansas City BBQ chicken flatbread, which included cole slaw and pickles. Given the flatbread presentation, it was like an open face BBQ sandwich. The cole slaw had the right mix such that it was not too vinegary or too moist with mayo. It was a little messy to eat, though, as the cole slaw and pickles kept slipping off the squares of flatbread. Overall, I really enjoyed it. My friend also devoured her salad. For dessert I ordered vanilla ice cream. It was just run of the mill.

Huge menu to choose from, but no child options. We worked with the server to come up with noodles and meatballs for my daughter. We both had burgers, one veggie and one salmon burger. Amazingly delicious! Big portions, so come hungry! Breakfast looked amazing too!

This place is nothing to be too excited about. We went for dinner and it was very underwhelming; judging by the menu it is probably a lot better for lunch or brunch. The menu is extensive so there is plenty of healthy options to choose from but I felt the entire place was just way more casual than the prices reflected. The food was over-priced and the ambiance and interior is messy and claustrophobic. Sorry, this place is just not my cup of tea; for the price we paid for a simple dinner for 2 there are just much better places in the area to visit. I don't recommend.

Want something new? Something funky? Something subdued? Something 'Soooo LA'? or simply cool? 26 Beach is true California. When you enter the establishment, you can pick either the Coco Chanel patio (my personal favorite) or the the inside, more subdued diner-esque ambiance. Whatever your choose, the food is simply amazing, so you'll be delighted either way. But seriously, try to sit in the Coco Chanel patio. It's just so... choice. The menu selection is rather huge..... but given the artistic approach to everything I've tried, I appreciate it as an artist's expression in the form of food, and I don't mean visually. I'm talking about TASTING art.... something few places do well in my opinion. The burger selection is huge. From traditional to veggie, to everything in between, including a California roll one (with crabmeat), a curry one (sweeter chutney style), and even an unagi eel topped one. The approach is 'total California' in that nothing is restricted, and you just have to find the burgers you vibe with. It's so much fun! I always suggest you get a group sharing of the gumbo to start the meal off, and warm the palate. I love gumbo, and their version is just the right amount of 'yum' that kicks off the rest of your individual meals. Their house salad dressing.... O... M... G! I think it's some kind of sesame ginger concoction, but you simply MUST try it. It was incredibly....... pleasing. It's a must-try. I'm not crazy about the clam linguini dish, as some dishes are better left super simple. Miso sea bass was good.... although I think they were just a bit too generous with the string beans, but hey, I'd rather have too much than too little. Ahi tuna burger fan? You won't find a more generous slice of amazeballs between two buns. It's like a giant seared sashimi of goodness you simply have to try. Love the place, and will always find reasons to come here.

Surprisingly disappointed with this place. Overall thought it was overpriced and wasn’t great food. The appetizers we got the Brussel Sprouts that had way too much vinaigrette on them that it was totally smothering. Then the garlic fries where each fry had a thick almost cube like size of garlic on them. Far too much garlic - you could barely even taste any potato. The main courses to their credit were very good. I had the chicken pesto sandwich which was lovely, and my friend got a breakfast platter type dish which was also good. But for $50 for two mains and two appetizers, half of which didn’t taste good - I won’t bother revisiting.

There's a great variety to the menu and if you like French toast, they have amazing creations. It's pricey though, and they are very clear they don't allow amendments to ANY order. They also won't split a check so those are little things to be mindful of!

Neat little place with funky decor and a creative menu. Five of us all had great meals. Each area is decorated differently, it is worth waking around to check them out.

The green eggs and ham is truly a delightful dish and so very tasty. I highly recommend it for a truly divine indulgence.

10/1/25 I came here with my coworkers for dinner and it was such a great experience. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans along with a lychee martini. Everything was absolutely fantastic. We shared cheesy toasted bread and Brussels sprouts as appetizers and they were just as delicious. The service was quick and friendly and the ambience was beautiful. The decor felt like something out of a movie, very enchanting and thoughtfully done. I would definitely come back in the future. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a unique and memorable dining experience.

We had salads for lunch. The food was really good in itself, but the atmosphere brought it to new heights. More is more, loved it!

Okay, this was an amazing find! You can't miss it! Pink grass type umbrellas out front....with a line of people waiting to dine! I had this amazing french toast (more like dessert for breakfast)....challah cinammon swirl bread, topped with drizzled choclate and grand marnier marscapone cheese....to die for!!! And a beer mimosa! I'm always up for trying something new, and this is my favorite drink now....beer, mimosa and oj! Gotta love it...and you will too! Be patient...it is definitely worth the wait! :)

26 Beach is Pinterest embodied as a restaurant. The overall design, wall art, ambiance, etc all make it seem like the perfect restaurant to pin on a board for great decor. The food here is pretty interesting - though the environment is quite casual, the dishes are innovative but have a very distinct LA vibe to them. I ordered their California roll burger, which, as you can imagine, has California roll ingredients on a burger minus the rice. It tastes like a California roll (really, no surprise there) on a juicy patty and buns that withstood every single ingredient. It's a messy burger, but it's definitely worth it. The food is the best thing going on here - service isn't where I expected it to be. I had a reservation at 11:30 for Sunday brunch but didn't get seated until 11:50, and our server made an appearance a total of 4 times: take drink order, bring drinks/take food order, bring food, bring check. We had to flag down food runners multiple times for any missing miscellaneous items from our table. However, the food here is definitely worth checking out. Portions are gigantic, flavors are on point, and come on...sushi burger? You can't NOT try that.

Just had brunch at 26 Beach Cafe and I was extremely pleased. We had five at our table, and everyone loved their choices. I got the Chilaquiles, and they were spicy, with crispy tortilla chips, perfectly scrambled eggs and chiles. One daughter got the banana French toast, which was not too sweet, with thick soft bread, bananas, and a lovely glaze/syrup. Other daughter got a burger, with about the best fries that I've ever had. We were especially happy with the service. Our waiter was attentive, friendly-but-not-too-friendly, and kept us informed about when stuff was going to arrive. Very professional, but made us feel at home. I would strongly recommend that you give 26 Beach Cafe a try. Parking is in the back, but the turn-in is BEFORE the restaurant and holds nine cars.

What a cute spot! The menu is so overwhelming, Pages and pages of choices. Some odd dishes, Chicken wings and Eggs?? We shared the French Toast with Lemon Ricotta and the Baja Benedict. Both were delicious, and great value. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Long lines outside, not sure why as they take reservations.

After finding street parking we entered the colorful, eclectic realm of 26 Beach. The location is actually in Venice, so it needed to be eclectic! The menu had about twenty varieties of French toast. There were also cereals, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. The distinction here was there is no regular toast. The eggs were either over pasta or brown rice, in a bowl. One of my companions had Jamaican chicken egg bowl with black beans and brown rice. It was a hit. My choice was more ordinary. Nova salmon on a bagel. All of the food was fresh and good. If you want to try something slightly out of the ordinary for brunch, this is the place.

26 Beach Cafe is a cool hipster place in Mariana Del Rey. Nice settings and really nice service. So expectations was high. The three of us ordered a Gumbo, Ealburger and Kobeburger. The kobeburger was awesome according to my guest. However the ealburger and the Gumbo was noot good. So there is really something about this place, its cool, nice and hip. But the food didn't live up to expectations or maybe we where just very unlucky i dont know.

Friendly staff, beautiful interior and tasty food!! Loved my French toast with peach and ice cream! A must visit place for brunches when in LA!!

Our last day in USA after a two week family trip around Grancy Canyon and Vegas. This place was close to our hotel so we went along for dinner. What a find! Really hip sort of place, great service, fantastic menu, fair prices. I love interesting salads - and they do this so well here! 26 Beach Cafe - I wish I could bring you back to NZ with me!

I just had to try the California Roll Burger an it did not disappoint! Everything was super fresh and tasty. Very cute and relaxing atmosphere!

Great menu full of almost anything you could want. Incredibly large portions....whether it's a salad, a sandwich/burger or even a bowl of soup. Super cute and eclectic décor, friendly and helpful staff. There are 2 dining rooms; one with a cozier feel while the other is a covered patio area. There's even a small bar where you can catch a game on the TV. I will definitely be back for breakfast/brunch to try out the reverse happy hour with bottomless mimosas!

This is a great place for unusual and fabulous food. Their breakfast selection covers savory to sweet. The burgers are the most creative around and the salads are not to be missed. A real crowd pleaser - I have been here several times and it never disappoints,

We stopped here for lunch. We shared a pesto chicken sandwich with french fries. This was tasty. They do not have many options for young children, but they were able to produce bowl of fruit and that did the trick. This is a small restaurant on the parking lot at the back is small and congested. The place has a nice atmosphere. Nothing super cheap on the menu, and some dishes are quite pricey. But overall, we had a good meal and our waitress was attentive and courteous.

My girlfriends and I had lunch at the 26 Beach Cafe on Saturday. The menu is extensive - breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner. The food was delicious. Service was good. Prices $$+. If you are in the area and would like to try a different dining experience, I would highly recommend 26 Beach Cafe. Nice ambiance.

We had brunch this past Sunday at 26 Beach,3100 Washington Blvd.,Venice. I ordered the Chorizo Royal, the wife ordered the granola.Actually,I mentioned to our server, "I was stuck.Three items off the menu, caught my attention ." She quickly mentioned the Chorizo Royal. Okay,I've never had Chorizo kinda whipped up,"like a cloud",placed on a bed of rice, and topped off with guacamole con Pico de Gallo. Delicioso!

We enjoyed our breakfast at 26 Beach Cafe. It's a casual diner and bar specializing in unique breakfast items. We ordered the Bourbon French Toast and the 2-2-2 (plain french toast, 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon). Both entrees were delicious. It was a little more expensive than most breakfast places. The service was very good.

Wow! A great selection of burgers and the 2 my wife and I had were fantastic. We've been to 3 separate burger joints over the last few days and these are the best! Clean and tidy restaurant with great service. AAA

Near the beach, good food, cute, quaint restaurant with a mellow vibe. The bread is to die for. highly recommend.

We all ordered the California Roll Burger, never thought the two would combine to such a delicious burger. Reservations are recommended and can't wait to return!

The place is close To the Inn at Marina del Rey and we were very glad because it was delicious with very generous portions, great staff, and a cute, quirky decor.

Never dissapointed by the food quality and taste. Chilaquiles are very good and, if you like chorizo, the Baja Benedict is outstanding. Service is good but....very long outside wait, crowded and uncomfortable sitting.

We had the best lunch at this restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was exceptional. The quality of the food was unbelievable but you do pay a price for it. But let’s be clear, it was worth every dollar.

4 of us for breakfast. Short wait for a table that we received in the timeframe promised. Service was excellent. The breakfasts that included bacon had a lot of bacon, very unusual for the average breakfast place. Not giving it a 5 because my over easy eggs were over under done even for over easy. Everything else was exactly as expected and very well done. We came at 9:30 for a very short way. By the time we left there was quite a long line of people waiting to get in so earlier is better than later. At least for breakfast.

We first pulled the name up and read "burger spot" so WOW were we amazed when we arrived to find a master mixologist, a menu that boasted 3 full pages each of burgers, salads, and more individual french toast recipes than I ever thought I could drool over! This spot absolutely blew me away! The cheerful decor was enough to set the mood and the staff carried it away from there! My only issue with the experience was the single stall restroom.... but next time I'll just wait till I leave.... SO worth it!!!

Thought the outside looked sketchy at first and almost left. What a mistake that would have been. A fun colorful covered area inside. Had an outstanding lamb and peaches salad. Our waiter was wonderful. Would definitely go again!!!

Went to the 26 as it had a good review and it was just round the corner from where we were staying, and having just flown into LA from the UK, didn't feel like going far. We're seated quickly in a 4 seat as it was nicer than the available 2, and they took our order quickly. The burgers were some of the the nicest burgers we had had in years, and came fairly quickly. Staff were attentive, friendly and available.

We had called earlier on Valentine's Day to move a previously made reservation for five people from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm and had no problem doing so. We showed up at 2:30 pm and were told our table was being prepared. Assumed that meant pretty soon. Over 10 minutes later we inquired about the table and were told the current party was closing out their check. Not sure how our table was being prepared at 2:30 if people were still eating there. Whatever. We ordered and 4 out of our 5 meals soon arrived with our meals brought by servers other than our waiter. After about 5 minutes we asked a stray server/waiter about the 5th meal (a crab salad) and was told they would look into it. After another 5 minutes, we asked again (we had never heard anything from the first inquiry). Again we were told they would look into it. After about another 5 minutes, our waiter shows up to say they had been out of crab for some time and that the kitchen had gotten backed up on the orders and never let him know about the crab when the order was turned in. The manager eventually showed up and let us know that the replacement order was on the house - this we expected. Not done yet - when it was time to pay, we provided a credit card and the slip was brought back and it was noticed that the last digit of the amount had not been entered and the bill was only for about 10% of what it should have been (the fifith meal had indeed been comped as promised). We called attention to a waiter and the bill was taken back and when it was returned, nothing had changed! Once again, a waiter was called and finally the full amount was charged over two creit card slips (the original and the excess). Not sure it this is normal or not but in my mind being busy on Valentine's Day is something to be expected and adequate and communicative stafff is imperative for a well run restaurant. Having to ask more than once on any issue makes me wonder what is going on.

Came here with a cousin one day and it was so goo we brought a grown daughter who in turn brought her mother and sister. Really great noodle salad on first visit. Secon time I went for more green. I can't say enough. Companions had breakfasts. One amazing looking French toast. Eggs. Salad. Huge portions. Easy to share.

As a native to LA I was surprised that I had never been here before last week Fri May15th my birthday. When I walked in the first thing I said was how cute it was on the patio area. Fun and Kitchy. The menu was so big I almost got confused however, watching the Burgera came out helped me decide fast. Actually everything that was coming out looked great. I stuck with the burger and I have to say it was one of the Best I have ever had in LA, Venice, Marina Del Rey. They have a huge selection of different ways to have it and we picked the one with goat cheese. Let's say Omg mouth watering and so juicy. We will be back.

For some reason at this time in my life not only do I look for good food but I am sucked in by great decor as well. When I talk about decor, I do NOT mean sanitary hotel/mall cookie cutter type places. I mean, decor with thought that reminds you of home or makes you feel like you've been transplanted to another place and time. Themed, tons of odd photos, spirit staff and buy into the feeling, etc. Well this is one of the places that ticks all of the boxes when I think of that. The food is to die for, I mean large portions, probably too much butter, delectable, delicious food, unnecessarily gaudy plates... it's eating fit for a king. If you want to enjoy every aspect of your dining experience this is your place. I went here with my mom and dad. We all ordered different things and tried each others food. I think my dad had the best breakfast with some french toast with ice cream, raspberry sauce and peaches- yeah it was decadent. Definitely not your every day meal. We came here for christmas so this place was all decked out including an all gold christmas tree! Service was fast, the food was moderately priced. I don't remember going to the bathroom (I always look at those) and the tables were packed kind of tight, but we didn't mind. It reminded us not to eat too much!

26 Beach is in a fun location. While you wait for your reservation you can take a short walk to the end of the street and you are at the beach. The place is so cute. There is indoor and semi outdoor seating. They have a full bar and quite a bar scene on the weekends. The food is great. We love going there for brunch and dinner. They have great fish, get the salmon or sea bass. You will love it. They also have wonderful deserts. Have fun.

I am a local resident in Marina Del Rey and I like to meet with my friends and family for Happy Hour once a week and we thought we would try Whiskey Reds. I haven’t been here in a year or two and live the views of the water from here... I arrived at 5pm on Friday and was told I’d have to wait for 15 minutes because there were only two servers... I was finally seated more than 30 minutes later. They brought the food out 30 minutes after that.. Is it because the largest patron is a visitor and won’t retirn anyways? The food was ok, nothing spectacular however I will not return...

We stopped in here after reading online reviews about the number of different kinds of French Toast they had on the brunch menu. We weren't disappointed! There were loads to choose from, as well as plenty of savoury breakfast options. The serving sizes were enormous, the flavours good, the service lovely and the decor quite a quirky mix of boudoir-meets-Alice-in-Wonderland. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

The outside to this area was deceiving - it looked like a normal 'bar/restaurant' on a main street but once inside it told a different story. The restaurant had a lovely private dining room, which then led into the 'indoor' element of banquettes and lots of people enjoying lunch. We then, afer being welcomed by the very friendly staff, went to the outside terrace area - little realising the main road on the other side (very quiet). I loved this area, shabby chic style design, fruh fruh pink umbrellas and lovely range of crockery gave it that 'je ne sais quoi'. The menu was so sumptious it was very difficult to choose. With two other friends, we chose to share a greens salad for starters with a lovely dressing and then had some amazing burgers (mine was a goats cheese and dates topping). Side order of french fries - as one must! We were so full from the lunch we just couldn't manage dessert. But to drink I tried the pomegranate mimosa - which was absolutely fabulous. The service was excellent and all in all with the ambiance and vibes of this place we had a gorgeous lunch. Very reasonably priced as well. I would like to return to visit in the evening. I do understand it is important to book - even if you're going in for breakfast! It is a very popular place.

I must first admit that my bad experience with this place is in part my fault based upon my poor ordering on a Sunday evening. Nonetheless, I will give an honest account of what I encountered. Steamed clams - These were an odd, tiny species of clam I've never seen before. I've eaten a lot of clams (east coast, though) and these were unrecognizable. Also, pungent, and evidently not fresh at all. Pushed these aside for safety reasons ... "Grilled flatbread" -I know this type of item is always a joke and a money grab, but this was ridiculous. To recreate this specialty item at the restaurant, leave a pita out to get stale, then pour some prego and a hunk of polly-o on it, then microwave for 5 minutes. Voila. Salad with "grilled shrimp" and "crab" - The salad I ordered allegedly contained "grilled" shrimp. What I received was something I haven't experienced since my high school cafeteria - canned shrimp. There is an unmistakable smell and mushiness to a canned shrimp that this place didn't even try to remove by subsequently grilling the shrimp. Rather, they went straight from can to plate. Yum. Also, "crab" is a laughable description of what turned out to be an ice cream scope of imitation seafood salad. Now, many would ask what I was expecting... but for a $20 salad in a restaurant that looks like a worn down diner off away from the beach, I did, in fact, expect something better. There are dozens of great restaurants in the area, and please be forewarned that this is absolutely not one of them.

Nice restaurant. Loved the breakfast and style of the place! The decor was quirky and nice. The staff were also really friendly

We went on recommendation and this place didn’t disappoint! So many options so many choices of French toast ... almost overwhelming ... $12 bottomless mimosa from 8am! We opted for safer choices as in the photo below

Jerk chicken scramble. Boom! Would eat again and know my money was well spent. Can't say that about a whole lotta places...

Went for a birthday Celebration. I had the jerk chicken burrito. My family had the french toast. There is a variety of French toast, all which got raving reviews.

26 Beach was made for Brunch. The entire vibe screams champagne and "OMG, you did what!?". The food is entirely mediocre and the service inarguably OK. The menu features a variety of different burgers, salads and entries like curry and risotto. It's like a sorority sister version of the Cheesecake Factory without the Cheesecake.

This os one of the best restaurants in the area! We have eaten here for years. You cant get a bad meal here.

This was my second time here. First was for brunch around 11am and this time for breakfast at 9am. They have 2 sides to restaurant (a typical restaurant side and a cute open side with colorful umbrellas). First time was on the open side which I like better, this time on other side. There is an extensive and unique menu. I tried the duck salad and French toast L'orange the last time and have been dreaming of the French toast since so got it again this time. Also tried the caramel macchiato French toast which was shared by my 2 girls and the eggs Florentine by hubby. He said it's the best he's tasted. So many different French toast dishes to choose from, difficult to decide. Highly recommend making reservations or you'll be waiting a long time. 9am was not crowded yet but by 10am, a long line of people were already waiting for a table. I would go here more often if I didn't live so far so when I do head up to LA the next time, will look forward to coming here again.

Was there for a business lunch. My associate wanted somewhere convenient to the freeway but with beach ambiance. The pink umbrellas always seemed intriguing. Sat outside. So did the flies. Tons of them. Swatting them off the food like it was Bombay India. The waiter staff was the B team. Stretched on serving and slow to wait. I ordered a pork chop salad and the chops were undercooked. Took forever to re-cook. Very disappointing. No offer for a complimentary dessert. No apology. Pretty shoddy. I didn't pick up the tab otherwise I would have talked to the manager. If I could find him. They have nice umbrellas.

After all the reviews, I was a bit underwhelmed. The food was good, but the veggies were not as fresh as I had expected. Most of the breakfast dishes are huge and can be split between two people.

The outside patio was eclectic and fun (same with the kitchenware). Lots of options which we appreciated and the food was good.

Well. I was going to give them 2 circles until I got home with my $20 Ahi tuna salad and they forgot to include any type of dressing. So, dry salad is dinner I guess. I went here on a whim ( yeah, don't do that) and this staggering level of mediocrity is hard to achieve. I ordered a burger with bleu cheese and bacon and 26 beach somehow found a way to make this not only bland, but make the beef taste not only frozen and defrosted but also somehow flavorless all at once. Don't ask me how, but it's the single thing they did properly ( make the food completely boring but insulting all at once). Which brings me to the salad....learn to do your job. Is it that difficult to figure out that someone paying $20 would expect the dressing listed on the menu? Yeah. Don't eat here.

Good service - good breakfast - good coffee. I’ll come back again to try their burgers that looked very good.

I went with my friend to 26 beach restaurant for lunch. The restaurant location is really great and easy to reach. The service is really good and on time. Food was so delicious specially the Chilaquiles and burgers are delicious too. I recommend 26 beach restaurant to everyone who wants to have a delicious meal without caring for dress codes.

I've lived in Santa Monica/Venice most of my life, and have traveled much of the world... And every time I get off of the plane this place is on the top of my list. If you want great food with a local experience - this is the place!

I was passing on the street searching for a restaurant, late in the day, and saw many people at tables on the sidewalk...on the sun. "Should be good" I thought. Indeed, despite the pink / golden art decoration (that add a SOHO look) the food is really good. The lamb salad was fantastic. I should had wine with it but I was driving a motorcycle with my kid. He loved the burger, very tasty. I left the restaurant and mark it as Favorite on my Google Map. Go there, you won't regret. Oh, and if you like '70, '80 and '90 music you'll be home. Fantastic selection Congrats

Wonderful spot - we went for lunch - the menu is fun to read - lots of interesting selections. Salads were very good, service was good & helpful. Loved the blueberry Iced tea! Look forward to going for breakfast and tasting all the variations of french toast...

We found this place based on its strong reviews, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The menu offered a nice mix of well-executed classics and creative, cohesive options. The courtyard seating added a lot to the overall experience, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The staff was warm and welcoming, though the service could have been a bit more attentive at times. Overall, a great spot that we’d definitely recommend.

We were warm welcomed at the 26 Beach Cafe. Large choice of tasty breakfast. The patio seems to be the best place to have lunch. A bit disapointed regarding the cappuccinos ... a bit small.

I've been here a few times, always for breakfast or brunch, and just took my fiancee there for her first time. Every item I've ever ordered has been fantastic - this time was no different. Every dish is prepared to perfection - excellent in every way. We split the French Toast L'Orange and savored every bite - highly recommend it and every other of the many french toast dishes they offer.

We visited for lunch and were completely spoilt for choice with all of the options! Typically I avoid restaurants with such a large menu as they tend to lack quality but the reviews seemed good and I'm glad we went. The decor was very kitsch, and we sat in the indoor terrace area which was nice and cool. Our order included a salad and a sandwich (burger). The salad portions are huge, and the sandwich portions are pretty decent too. Both food options were fresh and hot. We shared a sorbet for dessert. The bill was reasonable for the food quantity and quality. Decor was great.

This review should have 3.5 stars, but that rating is not available. Having lived in the area for years, we had never been to 26 Beach and decided to try it for an intimate birthday dinner. When we arrived at our reserved time, the greeter suggested the left side room vs the right side as it was “pretty busy” in that more formal room. I wish we had gone to the right side room, because the left side was more of a brunch type area (for which they are apparently known) and was too whimsical for my taste for this particular meal. See the mural picture of the poodle “Beach Babes” which was right at our table. I think the other room would have suited us better for this particular outing. The server was nice and seemed to know her menu well. We had some of their various mojitos and the special Berry Mojito was particularly good. For starters we chose a Goat Cheese Appetizer (almond encrusted medallion, mixed greens, berries, raspberry dressing) and a Ceviche Cocktail (fresh red snapper marinated in lime juice mixed with a sort of pico de gallo). The Ceviche was excellent and is recommended. We were very disappointed in the Goat Cheese Appetizer. I did not expect the dish to be primarily composed of mixed berries. I truly thought I would be getting a sort of Crottin de Chavignol, although I did expect a dusting of almonds per the menu description. What we got was one (1) tiny medallion of goat cheese (see photo, although I did take it after taking a small bite). All I could taste was the crunchy and very dry almond crust – in the center was the thinnest white line which indicated a possible hint of goat cheese. No taste of goat cheese at all. This appetizer needs to be seriously re-worked. For main courses, we chose Chimichurri Skirt Steak (marinated steak, topped with chimichurri sauce, grilled onions, pico de gallo and cilantro, served over brown rice and black beans). The steak was a large piece and quite tender, and the chimichurri was tasty. No complaints here, although the brown rice and black beans were not something to my taste, and I would not have chosen them as a base for the steak. I would have asked for white rice, but the menu was very specific about not allowing any changes to the menu descriptions. So much for catering to customer wishes. Our other main course was Clams Venezia (linguini with fresh clams in a light chardonnay wine sauce tossed with fresh roma tomatoes, garlic, onions and sweet basil). The small clams were in the shell and fresh. The result was a very tasty dish and it is recommended. Finally, we opted to share a Tiramisu for dessert, since the menu stated that “this is the only tiramisu you will ever want!” It was indeed excellent, the ladyfingers were properly dipped in espresso, and mascarpone was used vs the whipped cream that some high end restaurants try to pass of as a substitute for mascarpone. It was delicious.

Sunday brunch gets an extra lift with the paintings, happy colors and Coco Chanel sayings. Always happily filled, with an extensive menu that is guaranteed to please even the pickiest eater in your group. Absolutely delightful way to spend a Sunday.

I'm probaby in the minority here, but frankly I didn't really "get" the California Roll Burger. It fell apart almost immediately plus the crab mixture and the hamburger didn't jell as I thought it would. I also asked for my fries extra crispy and instead they came out extra under-done. I like the patio, and the service was excellent so next time I'll steer clear of these "sushi-burgers" and try one of the many other more mainstream burgers. Or breakfast, which I hear is popular

The menu is huge and each item is more enticing than another. The food is outstanding and the service is terrific. Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Great for kids as well.

Need less on their menu and better quality food
I ordered the strip steak with chimichurri sauce. The sauce was very nice. The steak was of very inferior quality; tough and impossible to eat.
