Enchanted courtyard dining

By Barbara W |

We felt so special dining in this spectacular courtyard, with dramatic lighting, crystal chandeliers and a fountain. From the appetizer to the dessert, the food was impressive. The roasted chicken was especially tasty. Simple, and simply wonderful with its roasted garlic, beautifully seasoned breast and creamy potatoes. The chocolate chunk cookies, served warm, we’re over the top.

Nice evening out...

By David K |

We were lucky to secure a last minute booking on a Monday evening. We were a party of 6 but there are a few nice corner tables that were comfortable and social for a party our size. Restaurant has a classy and chic ambiance but not pretentious. We felt slightly underdressed. Brought our 7 and 9 years olds which was not an issue. Our waiter (Michael) was extremely attentive and friendly while the manager (Danielle) was also helpful. My wife’s ribeye was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Lobster roll was tasty but small portion with a lot of bread. Shaved ribeye sandwich was slightly salty but a good dish, while the burger knocked it out of the park. We had the prosciutto, borata, and shrimp starters which we enjoyed with a nice bottle of wine (extensive wine list). Restaurant had a strict policy of closing at 10pm. Overall good evening in a nice part of town....would recommend this place.

Absolutely indescribable!!

By Josh D |

Every aspect of this place is beyond words!! If i try to tell you how good it is, it will be very hard!! You walk into this place and there are people on couches relaxing and some drinking wine!! Then you walk over to a counter and they ask for your phone number!! Then they ask if you want a couch and they tell you to sit down!! Me and my sibs went upstairs to look at all the stuff they sold because it is also a store!! It was all very cool!! After that our table was ready and we were at a table with a couch!! It was so comfy and the dining area was an indoor garden!! It had a fountain, a ton of plants, and some trees!! I ordered a truffle grilled cheese with fries and lemonade and I was overly satisfied!! It was a little creepy how good it was!! Anyone in Chicago has to go here!!

If you have $$$ to throw away, this place will take it for you

By JJ B |

I had an awful salmon that was awfully expensive and awfully small last night. I am someone who does not care about food at all, but this was very dry and hard to eat. The salad that was as they said was "enough for an entree" was also, very small. The total price for dinner of 4 was the only thing that was "big" $298 (including tip) 3 drinks, 4 entrees, 2 appetizers! The ONLY enjoyable part of the experience was the room. That said, this is some kind of a "store" with a restaurant inside it. You can buy a brass floor reading lamp for $700 while you wait for your table. Overall, not anywhere close to worth it, very disappointing.

Oh WOW!! Interiors and great food under one roof, heaven|!!!

By roxyanddolly |

I have loved Restoration Hardware since discovering it in Washington DC a few years ago. When I read about this place, I had to go and discover it. The building is laid out almost like a huge, grand house, with lounges, dining spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms etc, all decked out in the most exquisite RH style. The idea is you can get a feel of the look of their furniture and accessories in situ, you can then order them to be delivered to your own home. Perfect!! Just so sad there is no delivery to the UK. Was still a treat to look around. We had brunch in the cafe, its way more than a cafe, beautiful RH furniture set out in a dreamy courtyard, with a fabulous fountain. We ordered their homemade granola and greek yoghurt and it was the most incredible granola I've ever tried, absolutely delicious then scrambled egg, avocado, bacon and texan toast and this was also delicious. This was my dream place, my two favourite things fabulous interiors and fabulous food all under one roof!! Perfection!!

Perfect Saturday Brunch!!!!

By Carrie S |

I was in Chicago with my sister and mom for our first mom/daughter weekend!! This was one of my favorite parts of the weekend. We arrived around 10:15 and got in line to put our names down. - 45 min in line and then an 1hr 1/2 wait for our table. We were aware of this before going!! Recommendation - put your name down - grab a mimosa/beer/coffee and pastry and find a comfy area to sit down and relax a little. While the main level is great my favorite was the rooftop. It wasn't as crowded and the indoor area (it was cold out) was all glass. Very relaxing with the fountains and sun shining in! When you have sat long enough finish the rest of the wait by walking through RH vignettes! Get inspired!! When you do sit down to eat - relax and enjoy the beautiful dining room!!!! oh my the chandelier!! We ordered the vegetables & dips to start. Sure yummy - and light The avocado dip was my favorite!!! The truffle grilled cheese - yum (we shared) and then each had a salad (arugula & Gem lettuce) very generous portions and RH scramble! Nothing disappointed!! The staff was super friendly as well!!!

Stunning spot but go for lunch

By Phamus |

As a young man this was a dormitory for young female Art Students,so I never got past the lobby. When I saw the pictures of this place I was stunned at how beautiful it was and is. Unfortunately everything about this place says Lunch especially the menu. The beautiful glass dome built over the former backyard of the old building is nice at night but I think more impressive during the day. The service and staff are very good but the menu is far from stunning and being only wine and beer you have limited and expensive choices there. The Prosciutto and Delice Board was recommended as a starter for the table and for $45 I was not impressed with some grapes 3 slices of ham a piece of cheese and some warm bread. The two men each got the Burger $22 it was good but not that much better than a $5 burger. The ladies had the Lobster Roll and the Roasted 1/2 chicken, the lobster roll was weird, a hot dog bun with pieces of lobster stacked on top, she really couldn't figure out how to eat it. The chicken looked very good and probably the best thing we ordered but again a $38 chicken? We also got an order of truffle fries they weren't good at all, I wish I would have just gotten them plain. We had chocolate chip cookies for desert they were good but they're cookies nothing special. Two bottles of wine and you have one expensive dinner. Plus the cappuccino's and coffees and parking. I'd go again for lunch to see it in the daytime.

Enchanting, Beautiful, Tasty

By Tucker Magill |

I haven't written a lot of reviews but felt obligated to for this restaurant- more people should know of it! The place is gorgeous. I've visited restaurants around the world and must say the ambiance is definitely upper-echelon. The menu is slightly small, but don't be fooled, you'll see get something you like because everything is tasty.

Hidden Gem

By Jimena |

My chicago friend took me here though there was a wait of 40 minutes, we just browsed all the furniture and went to the rooftop and the time flew by. The food was delicious, truffle grilled cheese and the burrata were amazing. We ordered the healthy juices but were so full that we took them to go, they came in bottles. The waiter was super nice and probably the best service ive had in chicago.

Loved it so much last week that I'm coming back tomorrow with my daughter!

By Jewelsworld |

It seems quite a few people come to this cafe because they already knew about it which is reflected in previous reviews. My husband and I came to RH to shop for furniture and were very pleasantly surprised by the cafe. So much so that I'm going back tomorrow with my daughter. My husband and I had lunch here last week. I had the Shaved Vegetable Salad - an amazing selection of thinly shaved vegetables in a sweet vinaigrette topped with delicious crumbled candied pecans. My husband had the Shaved Prime Rib French Dip. We shared an order of the absolutely delicious hand-cut fries with garlic aioli. I'm looking forward to trying the breakfast part of the menu tomorrow! The ambience is wonderful. There's a light-filled gallery with a burbling fountain which would have been lovely and we're hoping to be seated there tomorrow. Last week, we ended up just off to the side which was lovely too. We got there at the right time last week to be seated immediately but if we must wait tomorrow, I'll finish the shopping I started last week. Brilliant concept RH!

3 Arts Cafe: A delightful lunch with wonderful food! Great service!! Love it!!

By Patricia C |

Sometimes you need a great meal in a fabulous location to remind you of what good is. One of those moments, you know? Where you sit with your best friend and have one of those memory making events filled with laughter and enjoying top quality food with attention service but not overbearing. As for the food, I actually hate mushrooms as a way of life but I tried the wild mushrooms and was IN LOVE with them!! Book your reservation early, try new things and enjoy 3 Arts Cafe. I plan to go back, its worth it.

Pretention is its specialty

By TravelinNan |

First, the positive. The 3 Arts Club Cafe is in a lovely, very walkable part of Chicago and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The furniture, of course, is by Restoration Hardware, and while oversized, it also is comfortable. The menu also has some nice offerings. Now, the realities. This restaurant doesn't take reservations! It's 2017, people are busy, and it is extremely disrespectful of people's time to make them sit and twiddle their thumbs for 2+ hours to be seated while the restaurant is more than half empty, as it was when we arrived at 3 p.m. on a sunny Saturday. But, of course, you aren't supposed to sit and twiddle your thumbs while waiting, you are supposed to look around Restoration Hardware and perhaps buy a thing or two. Not a bad philosophy, but the retail floors are extremely dark and you can barely make out the subtleties of color in the samples you are considering. So, finally, we are seated because, I guess, they want to get us out of there before the evening rush. I had the smoked salmon board and my companion had the lobster roll. They were nicely presented, but my salmon was devoid of taste and the lobster roll was nothing special. The $8 coconut water was probably the best part of the meal. Plus the wait staff seemed bored to death and not very attentive. Would I recommend this place? Sure, to drop in and look around, but not to wait and eat. We basically wasted the greater part of an afternoon waiting, and the wait was not worth it. It seems the thing they do best is pretention. We won't be back.

Decent food slow service

By gtonyg81 |

We came here for breakfast on a Sunday. We had the worst Uber experience ever on the way and then we’re seated quickly. Our waitress kinda forgot about us a few times so that got frustrating. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here if I was visiting Chicago cause there’s nothing unique or Chicago about it

tea time

By Fadah A |

We had the best banana split with green tea and cappuccino... we first ordered chia latte but it was too sweet

Simply splendid in every detail

By guyp232 |

Enjoyed dinner here recently during a long weekend trip to Chicago. What a wonderful treat! Highly, highly recommended. The place is simply gorgeous. Made reservations on Open Table, highly recommended, as the restaurant is busy and often totally committed. Our table was located just off of the main atrium which offered a very elegant and cozy feel, with soft seating and lowered tables which were very comfortable and relaxed. Our waitress, Lauren, was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and was a pleasure to meet. The food was just terrific. Every detail of this experience was simply impeccable. I can’t wait to return here with friends in our next visit to Chicago.

Perfect on a rainy day...

By Sandra A |

What a beautiful setting for lunch! The food was great, the ambiance was wonderful and the service was perfection. Be mindful that 3 Arts Club Café doesn't take reservations so you can expect a wait. But you can make yourself comfortable at one of their many sitting areas with anything from a latte to a glass of champagne. 3 Arts will forever be a staple whenever I visit Chicago. Absolutely loved it!

Good dining/home design experience

By randu2 |

If you’re a fan of fine dining, great ambiance, and super trendy style, It’s a great place to visit. Just be prepared to wait! The food and service was high quality and great value. Walking the different floors and seeing the inspirational style would be fun anytime of the year. The atmosphere is easygoing and up beat. The only downside is the unbelievable 2 hr plus wait time. If you don’t have an action packed day trying to see many things around the city, it’s worth checking out just be prepared to give up a sizable portion of your day if you do.

Fabulous!

By AlwaysOnTheGoGo_1206 |

This place is to die for. If I lived in Chicago I would be broke because of this place! It was a bit confusing when we arrived but once we got our name on the list for a table it was a pure delight from there. We had a 30 minute wait so we grabbed drinks & wandered around the different showrooms. Once seated, I couldn't keep my mouth closed as I was in awe of the beautiful courtyard-turned-atrium. The chandelier is simply stunning! While the prices are a little outrageous one must understand that you are paying for an experience, not just a meal. After our light snack we took our drinks to the roof and sat on the outdoor patio, taking in the city. This will be on my "must-see" list every time I'm in Chicago!

Terrible Service

By Salteacasapo |

Terrible service, customer service in the US is dead. They treat you like they are doing you a favor, when it is the other way around. I went on my own after a business meeting near by, the hostess was nice (nothing from the other world) but the waitress was horrible, really snobbish, you could tell she wasn’t happy to serve a table of 1. Better options where you are treated better like Ralph Lauren or Maple&Ash/8 Bar. The food was nice but was way better before pandemic. A piece of advice: Customer Service in the US must be immaculate, that’s what makes you different, if you don’t want to work serving tables look for another job.

Worth the Wait

By drcats |

Yes, you will wait; however, it is totally worth every minute--food and environment. The time goes by rather quickly if you stroll through the five floors of the beautiful Restoration Hardware furniture settings. Gave me lots of design ideas to bring home.

Glass of wine in fun atmosphere

By Julie F |

What a surprising concept--have a glass of wine and browse Restoration Hardware at the same time. We did not eat here, but enjoyed our wine and sitting on the roof garden.

Relaxing Brunch

By KAREN N |

I came here Friday late morning for brunch. We were told there was a 30 min wait, but I don't think we waited that long. I'm sure the weekends are crazy. The host and wait staff were very polite and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing! You wouldn't know it was a gray and gloomy day because of all the light coming in through the conservatory glass! The decor is also very nice. We ordered the burrata (so creamy), cheese board and turkey sandwich/fries which were all really good. The pricing is high for what the items actually are but we enjoyed them all and the atmosphere is so nice to catch up with friends or on a date! After our meal we explored their showroom which is amazing! I will definitely be back!

Unforgettable Meal

By W1144MZmelissat |

This restaurant is really something special. The staff and food are both phenomenal. Spend time before or after your meal exploring the building including the rooftop garden. Don’t forget Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert!

Amazing Spot!

By meganisahippie |

My boss and I took a day trip to Chicago and put the 3 Arts Club Cafe as our "must go to" spot for lunch. We are STILL talking about the food we had and it's been two months! This place is simply great!

AMAZING!

By Jaleesa B |

Omg! Me & a group of girlfriends dined here during our visit to Chicago & had an amazing time. Appreciated the aesthetics & even more so the food! Lobster roll & the ribeye are must haves! I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was amazing as well.

Reva B

By Reva B |

Excellent food, pricy but worth it. Decor wonderful, warm and elegant; couches are a little low for older knees and we were a little disappointed that they closed so early, couldn’t order anything after 9:30 as the licensure agreement with the zoning body. 5stars.

Definitely a Revisit

By Shanel S |

This place is wonderful! I will dine here again and again. Places with amazing atmospheres win! The comfort here cannot be beaten. Do have the Lobster roll and a cappuccino later after great wine. The staff are extreme professionals! Being here is a feeling! The kind of place you can make a regular.

A great updated place for the ladies who lunch....

By 2hampsters |

As everyone has mentioned, the large atrium space is magical and decorated to perfection. The best time to go is right when 3 Arts Club opens and on a weekday. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. While the menu is well executed and the service is attentive, you go there for the ambiance and enjoy the drink of your choice and a light snack.

Atmosphere is Center Stage

By Matt S |

If you looking for pure atmosphere there may be no better brunch spot in Chicago. From the atrium to the lobby every inch of the place is something to look it. Chic, comfortable, and beautifully lit, it is a excellent space to sit back and relax. Understand what you are getting into before you go and set your expectations appropriately. They do not take reservations and no matter when you go there will be a wait. The cafe is set in Restoration Hardware and they want you to walk around and shop. Expect a one hour wait to be seated. If you have the time it's worth it. We like to get a drink and sit on one of the overstuffed couches and enjoy the environment. If you are in a hurry this isn't the place for you but it you are looking to spend a few hours with friends enjoying some time in a chic cafe then it's perfect. The food was really good but nothing that blew me away. It was about what I expected. I enjoy going to 3 Arts more for the environment then for the food but that is not to say it's not good. The service was excellent, even though it is always busy I find the staff to be friendly and attentive. Do yourself a favor and set a few hours aside to meet with good friends in an excellent location and enjoy the day.

Lovely Restaurant

By trophywest |

The food was great. Service was knowledgeable & helpful. Normal items such as salad, etc. were extra. The setting was outstanding. Come here for special occasions.

PRICEY BUT YOU ARE PAYING FOR ATMOSPHERE AND WHERE LOCATED

By Laurie K |

I was in Chicago visiting my son and he wanted to bring me here for lunch they really like the atmosphere in this place plus they love the restoration store itself. The atrium is beautiful with the flowers, trees, water fountain etc but in my opinion the food was very pricey for what you get $25 for bruscheeta, $20 for grilled cheese sandwich with no fries or chips $10 for a small order of fries. I know it's Chicago and I know its pricey there but $138 for lunch without tip is crazy and 2 of us had water !! Plus taxes in Chicago are crazy almost 12% by the time you pay everything. I could go to a steak dinner for 2 with wine for $138 at home. The food was average nothing to write home about but our server was very plesant pretty place to look at but I could find better food in any of Chicago's restaurants as there are 100's to choose from. Take it or leave it in my book

Fantastic experience and gorgeous room!

By Sue H |

Make sure you have time when you come here as there is no reservations and a long wait. However, this restaurant is located in the gorgeous Restoration Hardware flagship store. You can grab a glass of wine from the bar and browse the store while you wait. My friend and I shared the burrata which was delicious and had the chicken breast which was literally the best chicken I ever ate. Highly recommended don't miss for bruch or lunch!

Lovely brunch spot

By ScottEP |

Beautiful atrium atmosphere. Limited but delicious menu. Service was very helpful. It is a little pricey, but worthwhile.

Beautiful setting for casual dining

By MRMEDERK |

Nice quality food and great presentation. Good service. This restaurant/cafe attracts a nice clientele to share the space among.

More than a Furniture Store!!!

By Lamrow |

Ate dinner with friends at the 3 Arts Club Cafe which is tucked into the Restoration Hardware building. The ambiance was really nice, our waiter (so sorry I can't remember his name) was super nice and very helpful and made some great meal suggestions. We shared their Truffle Grilled Cheese sandwich as an appetizer and then had individual salads for our main course. The food was very good and I would return again.

The decor is amazing but the

By Abby M |

The decor is amazing but the service has really really fallen. For the prices you pay I would expect better service . Server did not check in on us once i had to hunt him down for the bill . Server was Jorge !

This is a Restoration Hardware?

By KidDocDMC |

Walking into the beautifully restored building, we noticed the RH logo on the front entrance. My girlfriend said, "looks like the Restoration Hardware logo." We found ourselves in a nicely decorated space and were led back to the second area to find the restaurant hostess. There is a glass-enclosed courtyard with a bar off to one side and a second dining area on the far end. We were in that far end, with tall windows overlooking the street outside. The menu had a nice luncheon selection and a good list of wines and drinks. I opted for the shaved beef sandwich with fries and a glass of merlot. My girlfriend had the arugula salad with salmon. The food was quite good, the service attentive and the surroundings really nice. Only upon going to the restroom did I notice that much of the furniture had price tags - this really was a Restoration Hardware store!

Beautiful!

By Diana M |

Great vibe, great service, great food! Would come go back everyday during my stay in this great city.

More than just a restaurant

By Clare C |

Stopped in for a light breakfast. The space is incredible - really, the food is good, the service is very nice and friendly, but the real reason to go here is see the old building and enjoy the fabulous atrium. A little hard to find - it's in a RH Store (formerly Restoration Hardware).

Lovely venue but overpriced

By HAV847 |

Staff was great, venue is superb, but the menu is meh! And unfortunately there is only wine served--not mixed drinks. Even the burger doesn't come with fries......so every little bit adds up. The venue makes up for it, but given all of the wonderful restaurant options in the West Loop, I think this might be a "one and done".

Gorgeous Restaurant

By NewYorker1993 |

Gorgeous cafe to have an upscale lunch. It feels as if you are eating in a garden and there is a calming water fountain in the middle of the room. The food is delicious - I had the best chicken sandwich and side of fries with garlic aioli. The wait is a bit long but worth it. We waited about an hour on a Saturday, but we ordered bellinis (so good!) and wandered around Restoration Hardware. There is a pretty roof deck with patio furniture you can relax on. Overall great experience!

Lovely

By L H |

Gorgeous old building converted, somewhat bizarrely, into a 5-story furniture store that also houses a bar and cafe. Service is genteel if unsophisticated. Pleasant place.

Beautiful

By IAN D |

This is a beautiful cafe. There are a few different rooms all with different styles but the best is the main garden room. I only had a coffee but loved this place.

Sunday Brunch with friends !

By RobertoSimonHdz |

The place itself it’s a gorgeous building. As you can you the setting for restaurant it’s in a big patio with the stamp on it of RH. Surrounding the restaurant we where able to walk around and see what is the latest furniture the store has. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very layback I could suggest to go on Sundays with friends or family. The service is great the staff take very serious the measurements due to Covid-19. They do not offer A big variety of meals but I believe for a Sunday the menu fits everyone. The presentation of the meals are very nice. And the food itself is very tasty, it is delicious ! Don’t miss one the house signature cocktail RH Bellini it’s delicious better than a mimosa. Don’t forget to tip very well the staff they are very friendly, they work hard to make sure that your food is on the table very fast.

Long time friends luncheon

By GrandmaBabs |

We were greeted and directed to a lovely table in the atrium. Our waiter, Trey, was attentive and informative. The coffee is DELICIOUS and refills were abundant. The truffled grilled cheese sandwiches and cheese plate entrees were generous and tasty. Even though the room is large, the acoustics were excellent and we were able to converse easily. The only negatives were that they don't accept reservations and the prices are not cheap. There is valet parking, which is a plus since street parking is nearly impossible. After our meal, we enjoyed viewing the 5 story display rooms filled with lovely Restoration Hardware items.

Gorgeous

By MRSTRAVELLER1 |

This was one of my favourite dining experiences in Chicago, situated in a beautiful central garden courtyard within the swanky but oh so elegant RH building. The dining space is simply stunning, topped with a light flooded atrium, & surrounded by fountains, trees & chandeliers. Adjacent rooms, showcasing their retail collection of fine furnishings, lighting etc, is a temple of design perfection, I wanted to buy the lot! The menu features a fairly concise array of lightish bites & my food was delicious. Good selection of wine, handful of cocktails & fantastic coffee. Service was flawless from the wonderful Hannah, who couldn’t possibly have been more friendly & helpful. Top choice.

Good Ambiance

By sudhirbindal |

It’s part of a very premium furniture outlet. Great ambiance but the portions are small and everything is frightfully expensive. Visit for a nice experience

There's a reason why people wait in line

By Taylor B |

To avoid standing in a seemingly never-ending line or touring the multi-level retail space filled with Restoration Hardware's beautiful showrooms while waiting for your table, be sure to call well in advance for a reservation for brunch or lunch or dinner at the 3 Arts Club Cafe on Chicago's Gold Coast. Located at 1300 North Dearborn Parkway in a historic building with a classic atrium, this posh venue combines a coffee house, wine bar and American restaurant with Restoration Hardware's luxurious showrooms of living room and bedroom furniture, lighting, textiles, rugs, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, decor and outdoor products. Looking for drapery or mirrors or cabinets or bedding or linens or artwork or rugs while waiting for your lobster roll and smoked salmon and shrimp cocktail and glass of white wine? This is all about dining and shopping with taste and style. 3 Arts Club Cafe opens at 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday and at 11 a.m. on Sunday. There is valet parking. Make a reservation for brunch, leaving plenty of time to browse through the showrooms. My wife and I started with scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail and Kale Caesar salad with garlic sourdough crumbs, parmesan, classic Caesar dressing with chicken. My wife had a slow roasted chicken sandwich with pastured chicken breast, roasted garlic and olive oil potato puree. I couldn't resist the house speciality, a shaved ribeye sandwich on charred garlic bread with Swiss cheese, cherry peppers and au jus. We washed it all down with fresh squeezed lemonade. Yes, the meal is pricey. But it isn't nearly as expensive as the furniture. And you don't have to pay for the beautiful surroundings.

Tourist trap

By PatoColumbus |

Beautiful setting but food is average at best. Nothing special, kind of a tourist trap. I live in Chicago and won’t be returning by here are so many better - and cheaper- places to eat. Skip it.

Love the Ambiance

By bigjoe950 |

A more beautiful restaurant setting in Chicago May not be found. Stunning. Great service coupled with good food made for a memorable evening. The prices are on the high side, but it was worth it.

100% worth the wait time!

By Pamela M |

This place is one of the most visually stunning places I’ve ever eaten at. Although the wait was almost 2 hours, to sit in that beauty is well worth it. I recommend not going when you are starving but instead go anticipating a wait. Have a glass of wine or coffee and sit on the expensive, hard to get up from bc they are so comfy, couches. I was also shocked to learn the food was also worth the wait. We had the lobster roll and it was the best I’ve ever had. Lobster done perfectly, not chewy at all, flavorful and scrumptious. Almost wish I wasn’t splitting the meal with someone and had it all too myself. I thought about that lobster roll for days to come.

Magic

By kevinandpaula1970 |

The place is magical, the little patio is just wonderful. The food is amazing too, the salads are very flavory and colorful. Very chic and elegant place. You would expect it to be must more expensive . Worth a try

Great spot for business lunch, or catching up with friends

By George A |

What a fantastic spot for lunch, definitely a hidden gem in the Gold Coast area. The cafe is located in the enclosed atrium of an historic old brick building. Definitely get reservations, as it was packed even on a Wednesday when we went for lunch. I had a delicious lobster roll, packed with a generous portion of fresh, sweet lobster and thankfully not too much mayo. The service was impeccable. Prices are on par with a fine dining experience. It's located on a residential street, but they have valet parking.

The most romantic restaurant I have ever dined in

By MichiganMelissa04 |

This is the most romantic, beautiful restaurant I have ever dined at, and I give it my highest recommendation. Not even Le Jules Verne on the Eiffel Tower in Paris was so exquisite - and the Jules Vernes was divine, with an unparalleled view of Paris, of course. We chose 3 Arts Club Café for our 30th wedding anniversary dinner, just my husband and me. I was not enthused about the first two tables we were offered, which was distressing as I hate to make a fuss... but given that it was the very day of our 30th, I was glad that my husband spoke up. The hostess was most accommodating and we were offered a snug table in the bar area, on gorgeous velvet cushions with crystal chandeliers overhead. What a perfect dinner. Our server [Michael I think?] was a pro and was kind to ask us for our relationship 'wisdom' on how to stay together for such a long time. He also was kind in listening to my husband's banter. The complimentary champagne for our anniversary was a gracious gesture. It was just such a lovely experience, I cannot say enough good about it and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Good cafe for brunch

By Narendra N |

This is a combination of a furniture store plus a cafe plus a restaurant. Recommended if you want to spend a lazy afternoon chatting with friends and having some good food.

Great Place for Foodies

By Direoce |

The atmosphere is awesome, traveling floor to floor checking out the furniture selections and accessories' was an additional treat to the food. I will go back.

Good food in beautiful surroundings

By Skotti56 |

This is a unique and beautiful space and it would be perfect for a discreet date or dinner with close friends. We happened to walk by one day and booked for the following night. The whole RH aesthetic is a bit too “perfect” for my taste but it’s an amazing building which has been beautifully restored. As our table wasn’t ready when we arrived we got a couple of glasses of wine and went up to the roof terrace. What a space and we had it all to ourselves! The service was prompt and friendly. Food was good. Not ground breaking cuisine but the classics done well. Highly recommended.

Lunch

By Barry S |

This restaurant came highly recommended to us and the wait didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was great from the hostess to the waiter. The lunch was excellent and we can't wait to return.

Loved it here. The atmosphere was wonderful, food was delicious as were the drinks. Staff was friendly. I came before but there was a long wait. This time got right in.

Best Bachelorette Brunch

By Caroline M |

I was visiting Chicago for a bachelorette party, and 3 Arts Cafe at Restoration Hardware was a highlight of the trip. The truffle grilled cheese and bacon avocado club were delicious and fun to share. The truffle fries and garlic aoli paired together so perfectly (plus a little Rosé!). The food was incredible, but the atmosphere made the experience just perfect. The stunning decor with comfy couches and skylight and gorgeous crystal chandeliers set the tone for the best celebratory brunch! I would definitely dine here again and recommend 3 Arts Cafe to anyone visiting Chicago and the Old Town area.

Amazing

By Russell N |

We came here for 2nd birthday dessert and coffee. The coffee was great, chocolate chip cookies were amazing, the mango sorbet was beyond good. The bellini was a bit pricy but it is a very nice place. Enjoyed the atmosphere and our server was very knowledgeable and kind.

Beautiful but too expensive

By Cubsfan_1974 |

This restaurant is gorgeous. There is no denying that. Just a beautiful atrium for having some drink and food. It's an old brick building that is just so bright and airy given that glass roof in this restaurant. It was worth it for one meal, but the prices are so high, I can't see justifying going back there. $23 for a hamburger? Yikes. It might be worth it for a glass of wine or coffee, as those prices seemed comparable to other places, but the food was just outrageously priced, even for such a pretty location. It's very popular, and they don't take reservations. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table for two at lunch (and we thought that was reasonable). They have a really nice seating area (with many couches) for people waiting, and you can get coffee/wine while waiting.

Very cool spot

By careerman17 |

If you're into RH you're going to love this place. It's 6 floors of merchandise with a super cool restaurant in the atrium. We just had a drink so I can't comment on the food but the space is an amazing restoration of an old building and worth the visit. They have valet parking too.

Eat in an indoor Garden

By GavinBlair2 |

We stopped in to see it and have a quick bite. The setting is gorgeous. You feel like your outside in a garden. We only had wine and the burrata but the burrata was delicious!

Amazing Atmosphere

By Jiggy |

We stopped in here for a quick drink before a bigger dinner a block away, but we were so blown away that we decided to make this our appetizer course via their amazing cheese board. It was filling and delicious and I'm looking forward to coming back here for a full meal. We had two glasses of Prosecco, which we could have walked thru the Restoration Hardware with, but why would you pass up such an amazing courtyard. The staff is super friendly. While the menu isn't very deep, there are plenty of options whether you want to split an appetizer, have a meal on your own, or work your way thru each course with a friend.

Great food in an amazing setting.

Great food in an amazing setting. Very relaxing atmosphere. The surrounding area is also very nice and felt safe after dark. Great experience but not cheap!

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!

By lyndaj22 |

I’ve eaten here twice for lunch and the beauty still amazes me! This is the most beautiful place to have lunch. They don’t take reservations so try and get there early so you can get a table by the fountain. All the food I’ve had there is fabulous as well. This is an experience that must not be missed. It is absolutely lovely!

Stunning setting and delicious food!

Fantastic brunch at this beautiful cafe. Great menu options and the food was so delicious. The coffee was excellent too! Highly recommended.

Reserve in advance

By L H |

Beautiful place with great food, decent service, although disappointing they did nothing for my friend's birthday. The brunch menu has only one egg dish (scrambled; no Benedict)s, which seems odd. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful for strolling after your meal.

Beautiful (!) Setting and Great Food

By Globaljoan |

Beautiful (!) setting with third-story ceiling made of glass. Four of us had dinner here and every dish was genuinely outstanding. The fried artichoke was particularly great. I had the gem salad with salmon and it was exquisite. It is no wonder that people around town rave about this restaurant.

great food in a beautiful location

By Christine H |

The restaurant offers a limited menu with a nice variety of foods. We shared the dolce cheese, fresh fish and broccolini. All of it was very good. The service was attentive without being annoying. Definitely visit the rooftop.

Special Place, Much More than a Furniture Store

By Mike S |

We had lunch at 3 Arts Club Café on August 3. We have been in several Restoration Hardware stores over the years and find them interesting. This was much more than we expected. The store is enormous and the building in which is resides is very interesting and full of character. The wait to get a table was somewhat long, but we really enjoyed the time wandering through the store while we waited. To top it off, the food was fantastic. It was the best meal we had during our 5 day trip to Chicago. Highly recommend.

Elegant Ambiance, Limited Menu

By 550diannem |

3 Arts Club Cafe is the perfect spot to meet and catch up with friends. The menu is rather limited and somewhat expensive, but the breath taking ambiance makes it all worthwhile. While waiting for a table, you can browse the store or wait in comfortable chairs and sofas in rooms adjoining the dining room. Service is pleasant and allows for leisurely visits. The food was nicely prepared and flavorful, but definitely not the star of the show.

Great place!

By Carlos & Jess |

This is not your ordinary furniture store, I loved the concept of this store! Grab a drink while you wait for your table at the cafe and stroll through the store. See a living room space you like, just take a seat and get the full feel of it! I thought it was a little strange seeing people lounging all over the couches and hanging out in the store but it really lets your get the full feel of the living/bedroom set you like. The cafe was so good and worth the wait!

Beautiful cafe located in the Gold Coast!

By lisamd11 |

Great place to catch up with friends or business meeting. Located inside restoration hardware with the cutest decor, you can dine at 3 arts club cafe. The staff is so friendly and professional. Anything I have ever had there has been delicious. Also love having coffee and tea there too! No reservations and can often have a wait, especially around lunch.

We had a lovely family dinner at the Three Arts Club

By Anthony S |

We had a lovely family dinner at the Three Arts Club in Chicago. The food was delicious and the decor is spectacular. The restaurant gets a very young attractive clientele. The location is great at the intersection of Dearborn & Goethe. The restaurant does have 2 negatives. The first is they only serve wine and beer, The second is when you wait for a table as we did for 20 minutes, they will not serve you drinks. They need to fix both issues.

Great atmosphere

By paul |

My wife and I were walking to the Chicago History museum and walked two blocks from Clark to the café. The atmosphere is great, big sofas, many tables, unique space. We just had coffee but there are breakfast and lunch items on the menu. Worth seeing when in Chicago.

A chic kitchen and bar in a furniture store

By Taylor B |

Three Arts Club Cafe is housed in a landmark building on Chicago's Gold Coast that once was the home of the Three Arts Club of Chicago, a club for women in the "three arts" of music, painting and drama. The club, modeled after the Three Arts Club of New York, was founded in 1912. In 1914, the club commissioned their own building, designed by architects Holabird & Roche. Located at 1300 North Dearborn Parkway, it provided a residential space continuously until 2004 when the last of the residents moved out. In 2007, the building was sold to developers, who converted it into a glitzy Restoration Hardware furniture store and a Three Arts Club Cafe, a posh haunt that combines a coffeehouse, wine bar and American restaurant. It is a swanky setting with plush sofas, candle lanterns and a central fountain. Guests dine amid greenery, high ceilings, large windows and chandeliers, a chic kitchen and bar in a furniture store. With valet parking. The cafe is open from 10 to 8 Monday through Saturday and 11 to 6 on Sunday. There isn't a day when there isn't a line of people waiting for the door to open. Enjoy a delicious meal, then stroll around the building and admire the rooms filled with luxurious furniture. The bedroom and bathroom and dining room and living room sets are extravagant--I'd buy one of each if I could afford them all--but most people come for the food. Start with shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon and Kale Caesar salad with chicken. Then sample a lobster roll, shaved prime rib French dip, turkey club or slow roasted chicken breast. And cap it off with two scoops of sorbet or, if you dare, a banana split. If you are a coffee drinker, don't miss the coffee bar with espresso, latte, cappuccino, cortado, drip coffee, chai latte and hot chocolate. Once you're finished, you understand why so many people line up early to get a sofa or table.

Wonderful experience

By Moreno_chicago |

Wonderful experience and amazing food. The grilled cheese is to die for. Cool drinks and great service! A must try

Amazing Experience.

By ksks_02453 |

My girlfriend brought me here. Just like she said, the interior design of the restaurant and the show room outside the restaurant is elegant and luxurious. But, I wouldn't expect too much about the food. Just enjoy the ambience and take some photos :)

Fabulous Place!!!

By oib2000 |

I had lunch there with friends on a girls trip after 2 people had highly recommended it to me and we were not disappointed!!! The atrium where the restaurant is located is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing! We had a wonderful lunch! The burrata was to die for! Our server was fabulous! Just an all around fantastic lunch! And we walked around after looking at all the Restoration Hardware furniture, which would be a great thing to do if you had to wait a bit for a table. Highly recommend!!!

Never fails for atmosphere and food

By PJV1426 |

Visited Chicago in some terrible heat and spent a long lovely afternoon with friends and some sparkling rose at the Three Arts Club. My personal favorites are the Plates, the smoked salmon and the Bourgogne. Parfait.

Beautiful

By L H |

Lovely space serving decent food at very high prices, even burgers are a la carte. Very nice staff. Excellent (& gorgeous) macchiatos.

Weekend shopping and visiting family with friends.

By Will L |

Superb is a fitting adjective for this Restoration Hardware gallery and restaurant. Although we were there for only light fare before kicking off a visit to the store's many galleries, we were not rushed to move on, in fact quite the contrary. Restaurant service was outstanding, pastries and coffee were very good too. Don't let the line scare you, it is worth the wait. Then, explore the galleries in this magnificent gallery, even with a glass of wine in hand.

Beautiful & Delicious

By Kelli | Whiskied Wanderlust |

Beautiful space with surprisingly delicious food. It's on the pricey side, but the ambiance makes it worth it.

Gorgeous

By Karen C |

This restaurant is just beautiful. We arrived around 11:00 on a weekday without a reservation and were lucky enough to get seated right away. The high ceilings and stunning chandeliers were gorgeous and set the tone for a wonderful brunch. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. We both loved our meals which were eggs and avocado toast. I would definitely recommend going to experience the unique beauty and atmosphere.

Inedible chef

By Afelgasl |

The restaurant is beautiful, the food must be fabulous, but unfortunately we didn't try it. They told us that they were full for 5. A blond manager, extremely unfriendly and petulant in the way he spoke to us. Another employee who saw us offered to seat us at two tables. 2+3. The room manager arrogantly said that he was in charge and they were full. Basically I have never eaten it and will never eat it again.

Second visit; I won’t return soon

By breggie |

Food is in general tasty and the ambiance, service and sophistication is nice. I ordered a “Mulholland Salad” for $32 (plus tax and tip); the waiter told me it was “quite large”. Pathetic both in presentation as well as size. I had planned to split it with my partner but it simply would not do for two. So I then ordered my own farmer’s egg breakfast and my partner had the Mulholland. Eggs were scrambled so horribly WET WET, but I ate them without complaint, as the extra sausage ordered was the antidote. Just expected better quality and size for the salad and the (preparation of) the egg dish. No alcohol ordered. Brunch for 3 with tax and tip was $155. Just not as peppy nor satisfying as our first visit a couple of years ago. Disappointed.

One of best restaurants

By ksayma |

Best restaurant for breakfast With nice view and fountain in middle .wide space and very helpful staff

Gorgeous setting , amazing food !

By BlakeB672 |

You are seated in a large glass atrium type setting in the Restoration Hardware location among comfy couches and expansive bench seating. The food is approachable but sooo elevated . The salads are amazing and so is the banana split !!!!!

Expensive! Is it really worth it?

By Jim Asher |

Nice setting — but is it really worth the price? Expect to pay at least $50 per person — and I had avocado toast! Don’t get me wrong — the food was all very good — you’re just paying premium prices to see and be seen. It’s all a little too pretentious for me.

Great venue to host any adult!

By Rene D |

This place is lovely. You can make a day exploring every single floor or you can simply be there for a quick lunch. You can order a coffee or a mimosa from the walk up bar on the main level or you can sit in the stunning atrium for a meal. It's not ideal for kids. However any adult could find some beauty in this space. Either the greenery or the roof top deck views or to browse all of their wonderful furniture. I have taken clients as well as my parents and girl friends for brunch. Everyone loved it!

Pretentious and $9 water

By Stephanie S |

I made a reservation for lunch for my anniversary as we would be Chicago for the day, and requested to sit in the atrium if possible. Upon arrival we were told the the atrium had been fully reserved already and we could be moved there if someone cancelled. We sat in one of the side rooms and were offered water- still or sparkling. I ordered still water- assuming that meant tap (we were not offered tap water). Our waitress brought a bottle of water and started pouring before I could object. At almost the same time were approached and asked if we wanted to move to the atrium- so we moved. The atrium had several tables open throughout our whole lunch service; either multiple tables canceled at once, or the hosts simply had little idea on how to manage reservations. Either way, I was already annoyed that we were duped into paying for water (it’s not Europe, sorry!) and had to carry all of our stuff to a different table less than 5 minutes after sitting down. Our meals were fine, nothing phenomenal for the price (my husbands $20 burger was cheap thin patties of meat, cheap American cheese, and overall greasy, my $30 lobster roll was very good, and the $10 fries were good, but should fave been included in the dishes for the price paid). We waited a bit too long for our bill after our table had been cleared completely only to be handed three cookies to help celebrate our anniversary (with no napkins or anything to rinse them down with as it had been cleared away.) While the ambiance is beautiful, I don’t understand the high ratings here. I especially hate paying $9 for water when no other option is even offfered and being told the atrium was full when it clearly was not.

Atmosphere is worth paying more

By Ken M |

Figure $30-50 each for good food and great (really nice) atmosphere. We knew it would be a tad more for the food (burger, shaved ribeye sandwich) but went anyway and were plenty happy. The setting is so pleasant it’s worth the price.

Long waits. Decent food.

By Greg M |

We had a reservation, so only had to wait 20 minutes for a table for lunch on a weekday. People coming in with no reservations were told 2-3 hour wait. Cute idea to use RH chairs for seating but not comfortable for eating. Service was mediocre. Had the cheese and preserves on baguette. Pretty good.

It was an experience

By Sandy V |

We came here for lunch on a Friday. The minute you walk it the decors was very pretty. We did have to wait for a table for 40mins but the cafe it's self is very small on the inside. As we waited for our table we walked and explore the floor of the furniture that was for sale. This can take up a lot of your wait time waiting for a table. Each floor was stunning. If you don't want to explore you can get a drink and some pastry while waiting. The food it's self was ok. I thought it was pricy for what you get. The Burrata was excellent. I did not enjoy my lobster roll at all. other that the experience was great.

It Would Be 5 Stars If The Staff Didn't Screw It Up

By Alessandra M |

The food was great, but I gave it two stars because of the staff and experience. I had called a few days before my reservation to let the staff know we are celebrating a birthday but I stressed it was going to be a surprise so to keep it quiet when we arrive- they obliged. I also asked if they have any desserts to celebrate the surprise birthday, and the staff said they will have cookies and a candle noted on the reservation and to bring it to the table after dinner. I was excited to celebrate my friend's birthday there, after speaking with them over the phone. We arrive for our reservation, and the first thing the host says to us is "Who's birthday are we celebrating tonight?" Right in front of the birthday boy. Then when we place our orders we ask the server how large the side of broccolini is, and she assured us it's rather small so people who want it should order one for themselves. One side of broccolini could have fed all 5 of us! Was the server still in training or was she trying to increase the bill? There was so much leftover broccolini that we took it home in THREE separate to-go boxes. After dinner, we're waiting for the birthday cookies, and after 15 minutes of waiting I decide to reach out to our server privately to ask if she can bring the cookies and a candle. She tells me that she already put the bill on the table so she will need a separate card for the cookies. Not a problem, because I wanted the cookies billed separately anyway, so I give her my card and tell her "please make sure this is just for the cookies" and she says "of course". Then she gives me the bill for the cookies, but she ended up charging me for the entire bill plus the cookies. My friends (who already had their credit cards on the table right when the server brought the dinner bill) were wondering why their cards weren't charged. The server responds "your friend already took care of it". So, clearly she didn't listen to me at all when I spoke to her privately. I don't make a lot of money so $500 out of my account is a HUGE hinderance to my finances. The money didn't get refunded back into my account until 5 days later, which was not ideal considering I had to spend the entire weekend with barely any money in my card. I wasn't expecting to be inconvenienced that much during my weekend in Chicago because the staff at 3 Arts Club Cafe is unreliable, uninformed, and has selective hearing. At least I got to eat broccolini for three days straight afterwards

A magical place

By Oscar C |

This place is a work of art made restaurant, the atmosphere, the terrace and the attention are wonderful. The food is good but not at the local level, basic topics such as making a good hollandaise sauce for perfect Benedictine eggs is part of their areas of opportunity. The best part of the menu is its desserts, don’t miss the brule, just the best I’ve ever tasted.

Classy Cafe

By mohammedaryan |

A beautiful cafe inside a classy furniture store. We went there for breakfast and didn't want to leave this place. They have a variety of seating areas with a nice patio. Both me and my wife ordered the scarmble farm eggs which must have been the best scramble eggs we've ever tried. It comes with avocado, chives, and cream cheese. The place can get quite busy but we went in as soon as they opened.

Fantastic - do make a reservation

By Juancho D |

One of the many hidden gems in Chicago. Located in a furniture store called RH this place is magical. Make sure to make a reservation or you will not get a place to sit. Seating is not the most comfortable of you get a sofa or a low chair but service and food are amazing. The burrata, the burguér and the shaved sirloin sandwich were phenomenal. Músic was cool too. All in all a great experience and can’t wait to go back

Stunning- a must see in the Chicago area, little known to tourists

By Lauren A |

Absolutely beautiful. Came here for brunch and had the beet salad and a coffee and my friend got the burratta. Both tasted amazing and it was fun to take pictures in the building after. My only complaint is that they have a pretty limited menu- for brunch options the only traditional breakfast type food was a parfait or eggs.

Girl’s Trip shopping with wine in hand

By Adventurer627712 |

We loved this. We arrived early, unexpectedly. What a great coincidence. We checked in for our reservation, then bought glasses of wine and toured the multi-level retail space of beautiful Restoration Hardware while also admiring the fabulous architecture of this historic building. To top it off, the food was fabulous!

Above expetations!

By renata v |

When you get to the restoration store, you walk inside and get to see this BEAUTIFUL hidden coffee shop. Every little detail is beautiful, the food is very good, a little pricey, but it is worth considering the whole package. Would definitely come back

Great Experience and Great Food!

By aetp91 |

They don't take reservations, and when we got there it would be a minimum 1 hr wait. We bought a drink and strolled around the store. The restaurant is inside a 6 floor Restoration Hardware, so we had plenty to do while we waited. The service was great and the food amazing! I ordered the Lobster Roll, and it is one of the best I've ever had.

Amazing experience

By Rasha |

I hosted my daughter 17 party there for a brunch at the Chicago Gold Coast location on Dearborn st. food was great and they let me bring my birthday cake for $25 fee and they slice it and serve it for you. The server was the BEST, her name is Amy. Very professional and suggested serving ideas for the food. Definitely will be back and will recommend it to friends.

Lovely

By L H |

Stunning space, great service, good food, high prices (burger is a la carte now). Always extremely crowded, and reservations need to be in advance, by weeks for busy time slots.

Extraordinary beauty to match the city

By trino8 |

I took my son & daughter for dinner here, located in Restoration Hardware. When you walk in it's so breathtaking. The beauty of the furnishings and space is a one of a kind in the city. The host, and servers were kind, and attentive. Our meal was delicious. It's a bit pricey, but you are paying for the ambiance. If that's important to you, you will not mind the prices on the menu. We were not able to be seated right away so we bought a glass a wine and walked aroung the store. We had a wonderful time.

Great ambiance and beautiful decor

By Julio L |

The main value of 3 Arts Club Café is the ambiance, fantastic spot to sit down with family and friends and have a coffee or a glass of wine. Service was OK and food was pretty average for the most part, prosciutto board was great. We walked the furniture store after dinner and saw fantastic pieces.

Impressive

By Sharon D |

I don't know of any cafe comparable in the chicago area. I feel like I'm in an old world palace. While waiting for a table, browse the many floors of unique furniture arrangements.

Fabulous brunch

By Jacqueline D |

Beautiful ambiance, great food, great service. Restoration Hardware shopping while you wait for your table....all while sipping on a fantastic Bellini—excellent times! One of my favorite spots to dine/brunch!

Not only super cute place but food was really good.

By jesslynch13 |

We had come here initially because it looked like a cute trendy place. Looking at the menu, I was assumed it was too pricey and you were just paying for the experience of eating in a really cute courtyard. The food was actually very good, the grilled cheese came with french fries and it was $18 ,however it was really good. The Caesar salad was also delicious. I would definitely return.

Ambiance great. Customer service OK.

By GIRL T |

I enjoyed a cappuccino at RH in Oakbrook and sat outside on the terrace. Beautiful 😍 ambiance. Customer service wasn't so great. Cappuccino was too cold. Overall I would rate this place at 6 out of 10.

Gorgeous

By L H |

Good food (gem lettuce salad is great), nice by glass Champagne choices, friendly staff, beautiful setting. The only drawback - the prices.

Beautiful setting; Food is underwhelming and expensive

By FMir71 |

The 3 Arts Club is a beautiful setting, day or night. But the food leaves a lot to be desired. $22 for a mediocre hamburger that comes "a la carte," as in nothing embellishing the plate other than a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato. And $10 for a small cup of fries. So, $32 bucks for a burger you could get at MBurger down the street. Much as I love the setting, I won't be heading back any time soon.

A furniture store for brunch? What? OK. It was a wonderful experience

By TopTripContributor |

Loved the concept of being able to experience furniture shopping while waiting to eat great brunch treats or was it the other way around- eating a great brunch treat while furniture shopping 1.5 hours waiting to be seated - worth while the wait while I had a couple of mimosas and my wife some cappuchino. Awesome experience. Loved the menu. Loves the concept. Loved the service. Loved the atmosphere. Get there before opening time (11am) because youre going to have to wait...(with mimosas or coffee)...Definitely give a try to the Grilled Cheese or the Roastbeef Sandwich frenchdipped. The hamburguer was also delicious. A+ to this fabulous brunch experience.

WoW!

By EmmaK |

Amazing place, amazing food, amazing moment. One of the best kale salad in Chicago! And this chip cookie!

Lovely spot for for a meal and to stroll around the building

By Travelingman074 |

Other reviews have covered this place fairly well. We had a short wait for lunch and it was worth the time invested. The salads are fresh and crisp, not soggy with dressing. Reasonable wine list and selections by the glass. Prices are perhaps a little high for what you get, if you only consider the food. But when you add the ambiance and opportunity to wander about the building, it's good value. The meal was not memorable but the experience was.

Beautiful dining area for upscale lunch

By CubsWSChamps |

My friend and I had lunch at the cafe which is in the Restoration Hardware furniture store. They were busy on a Tuesday afternoon with 30-45 min. waiting time. However, we were seated right away if you don't mind sitting at "communal" sofa and table area. My friend had the delicious truffle grilled cheese sandwich, and I had the grilled chicken breast. Each entree included with your choice of salad of fries. I would highly recommend their crispy fries which comes with a side of ketchup and a really tasty garlic aioli sauce. For dessert, we had the warm chocolate chip cookies which had a sprinkle of salt on the cookies. We enjoyed looking at the decorated rooms after lunch. It's a unique cafe to see if you are in the area.

It's all about the design !

By kfcote |

This restaurant/café/wine bar is very beautiful. Any design lovers will appreciate it! Service was slow and at times not that friendly, but the wine and food were great. I recommend for late afternoon coffee, or 5 à 7 events.

The best atmosphere to dine in Chicago!

By crunch6 |

This hidden gem is now available to get reservations through Open Table....finally. The indoor atmosphere of this restaurant is magical, especially on a snowy day. The menu is pretty limited and a bit pricey, but it is WORTH coming. Go to the rooftop bar in the nice months.

Beautiful Place. Incredibly Long Wait.

By Bonnie T |

This restaurant is a very interesting place. The building houses Thanks Restoration Hardware and floors of model rooms to walk through and browse. The main floor has a huge & beautiful atrium where they serve at couches and tables near a flowing fountain and under sparkling chandeliers. The food is good, and the service is good. The prices aren’t bad either. The only issue is the incredibly long wait for a table. You can order drinks (alcoholic or tame) and sit and wait or wander around until they page you that your table is ready. We went on a Sunday around 11:30am, and we waited 2 1/2 hours to be seated and served. If I had the choice, I’d stick to coming here on a weekday so the wait will be much shorter. Still, this is a ritzy dining experience I would recommend.

Wonderful 💥

Romantic restaurant with unique style, where every corner is designed with love and affection. Where you can find huge selection of wine and spirits to cheer the moment. From beautiful garden to luminous chandeliers, trees and high class service, R H welcomes customers with exceptional cuisine where every meal is a celebration of flavors 😘.

Beautiful location and great service, food a little pricey.

By Claire T |

This cafe is unusually set inside a high end furniture store. It’s beautifully designed with a nice vibe but the menu is pretty pricey for what’s basically nicely done cafe food. I had the slow roast chicken which is just a chicken breast which comes with a jus, and half a bulb of garlic on the plate. You then either get a side salad or fries which for $27 wasn’t a lot with a salad and I had to eat more later because I got hungry. What I got tasted good though and my friends Turkey club looked good.

Nice atmosphere

By Betty |

Fun place, nice atmosphere! Eat, then take your wine and walk around their store. It is a fun way to spend your time whether you are looking to buy furniture or not. The 5th floor has an outdoor rooftop area.

fabulous atmosphere, service, and food

we had a super comfortable, early dinner here. the atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable. the service was excellent and the cheese - amazing. there is something for everyone: a quick glass of wine or banana split, a burger with a girlfriend, or an elegant, shared, family meal.

Worth Waiting For

By Suddrethks |

Had a late lunch at this charming, out of the way spit on North Dearborn and was not disappointed after a two hour wait. The wait is worth it for the comfort and people watching that is provided. This gem is way long on ambience with amazing food choice so die for. Mostly a locals place but out-of-townets are catching on. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Great lunch in beautiful venue!

Great lunch in beautiful setting. Had entre salad with shrimp & wine. 3 Arts Club Cafe is pretty & is also a furniture store of several floors. Had not been there since it be and a restaurant & furniture store. Special lunch.

A Chicago Must See

By Andrew S |

3 Arts Club Cafe is nestled in Restoration Hardware, a 5 story interiors showroom for living rooms, bedrooms, offices, dens, etc. They do not take reservations, and the wait is likely to be 1-2 hours for a table, however there are several ways to get something out of your visit without waiting. First, there is a walk up counter where you can order a drink, and there are couches in rooms throughout the building where you can go sit and enjoy your drink with company without needing a reservation. Just know you are in showrooms and people will be walking around. It didnt bother me one bit. You could easily spend an hour just walking through the 5 floors to take in all the beautiful interiors spaces they have created. If you would rather not put in a reservation to sit in the cafe, these are two great ways to enjoy the building without waiting. If you have time, and you are intent on having a meal at 3 Arts, then walking around to see the spaces is still very worthwhile, though I highly recommend waiting for a table should you have the time. I highly recommend 3 Arts Club Cafe to anyone looking for an elegant but casual dining experience with amazing ambiance. I didnt even mention the food. We were in a hurry and headed to dinner afterwards, so we ordered two glasses of wine to celebrate our engagement that day and an order of french fries. The truffle aioli paired with the fries was to die for! Everyone must go to 3 Arts!

Beautiful decor, great service and food

Can't wait to go back. Try to get a reservation. Everything is good news here! i plan to reserve ahead and return!

Only at night, only for drinks and apps

By Jane M |

You aren’t coming here for the food. Honestly, this is an upscale furniture/lifestyle shop. The room is beautiful at night, and that’s what you are paying for. Don’t waste your money on a lunch date. The illuminated room in the evening is the thing, and some heavy apps and a few drinks should give you a chance to savor the experience. Not sure they have ever had a lobster roll on the east coast, but melted butter is generally a crucial element of the experience. Dry lobster on a dry brioche is a bit unpalatable. Service is fine, unobtrusive. People dress up a bit for this, though we did see some people in jeans and street clothes.

The best in Chicago.. hands down!

By JustineMN84 |

Ohh, la, la! A hidden gem! Away from the tourists, away from the mess... this is by far the best place to go for breakfast and lunch. I am so happy that someone from the hotel we stayed at recommended this place (The Gwen Hotel, Patrick). Our server was very nice and attentive and kept checking on us, even though the hotel was busy as ever! I am so happy we found this place and will always come back when we are in Chicago. We loved everything about it! Can't say enough!

Gorgeous place with great food! There is always a long wait to get a table but its totally worth the wait. This is a perfect place for first dates or catching up with a group of friends or for long conversations with someone etc... when you're done eating, be sure to go upstairs and check out the restoration hardware store! You'll love it!!

Great Place for lunch

By Dennis R |

The food was okay, but the setting is amazing. May have been the best service I have had this year. Great to take out of town guest.

Great Ambience

By webpro04 |

Wonderful ambience and setting for brunch. The food was very good although a little pricey. Our server was not overly friendly and it seemed as if my wife was asking too much when she asked for just boiling water! Which was a shame considering the beautiful location and high standard of food.

You'll have to wait, but it's worth it!

This Cafe is located in a historic building in the Gold Coast, and always has a wait time of at least an hour. The good news is that you can wander through the Restoration Hardware in the same building, and you'll get a text when you're table is ready. The food is casual, but very good, though sometimes a bit difficult to eat if you wind up seated on a low couch at a coffee table. Do NOT miss the amazing French fries with garlic mayo - the best I've ever had!

Impressive decor, mediocre food.

By MIKKAVON |

As an attractive lady ushers you into a garden-like environment with beautiful works of art, you are thrilled at the prospect of a delicious meal. What we got was a mundane steak sandwich characterized by tasteless slabs of meat, mushrooms that were over-fried and too salty, and burned artichokes. Overpriced and overrated. The saving grace: the person serving us did her best.

Beautiful

Absolutely gorgeous space. Loved the atmosphere. There was a very long wait when we were there around 11 am on a Saturday morning, almost 2 hours, but they do accept reservations. There are many comfortable places to sit, relax and wait for your table. You can get a coffee and pastry while you wait as well. Would love to come back here and see the space in the evening. Chai latte was small but delicious.

Lunch in the CITY

My wife and a friend went here for lunch. The atmocphere was very nice! The food was OK. Nothing to write home to Mom about.

Amazing Location and Food!

By tbjjesq |

This location was incredible. The food was really well done. I had the Turkey Club and my wife had the Egg Scramble, both were very good. The furniture inside the Restoration Hardware was beautiful. At one point, I overheard the hostess say it was going to be a 2 hour wait, so please be prepared.

Worth the long wait

By Aaron G |

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon for brunch--and it was packed. We put our name in and walked around the beautiful building with a glass of wine. It did take an hour to get a table--but it was well worth it. -one of the most spectacular dining rooms I've seen--with dramatic wide sunlit glass-covered courtyard -great wine list, cocktails and champagne options -the club sandwich is amazing with thick house-made bacon and delicious fries served with aioli -all the furniture, dishes, glassware, silverware are restoration hardware--really high-end and adds to the experience

Great decor and food!

I went with a friend at 7ish and the wait was 15mins. They have very comfy sofa outside of the cafe, I was very satisfied sitting there while waiting. The decor inside of the cafe was fabulous; it is very romantic with water fountain and chandeliers! I ordered smoked salmon, truffled grilled cheese, and shaved prime rib french dip. They all very delicious. I really like this place highly recommended for special occasions and dates.

Elegant, sophistication

By @Tameka_the_hairreviver |

I'll start with saying, simply gorgeous! The ambiance from the curb exudes sophistication. Didn't mind the wait. The beautiful furnishings on each level is a great wait to consider remodeling and purchasing a few pieces during a future visit. The food was delicious and the choices were vast. Great portions for the dollar. I'll definitely return !

Loved It

By dcsae |

We loved the 3 Arts Club and I would highly recommend it as a great place to visit when you have time to wander the store while you wait for a table. We had great food and loved the atmosphere - I would have to say the cafe has to be one of the prettiest places in Chicago to dine! It's beautiful! If you have time to watch the video on the RH website that shows the restoration of the building, you will really appreciate just how special this place really is!

Loved it!

I love Restoration Hardware, and the cafe was very nice. The food and service were good. Be prepared to wait. We arrived early 10:10 AM and wanted to walk around the store a bit. The hostess took our name and phone number and said we would be at the head of the line...we only looked around for about 20 minutes and when we came back to the cafe we were told it would be another 45 minute wait. We decided to leave, and as we were leaving the hostess asked if we enjoyed out meal. I told her we hadn’t eaten and that it was going to be a long wait...she said she would take care of it and within 5 minutes we were seated. The food was good, our waitress didn’t seem very happy but the service was ok. The hostess went above and beyond to make things right.

Quaint and charming

Went to eat here on a Sunday - wait was 3 hours!!! Choose not to and came back during the week. On a Monday, we walked right in for lunch. Food and drinks were yummy. The ambiance is wonderful. Burgers and grilled cheese were delicious!!

Great surprise

By cathy freesen |

This restaurant in in Restoration Hardware! Absolutely beautiful setting. The food was ok. Nothing great. Had to send back a grilled cheese sandwich because it was burned on both sides. But the atmosphere and architecture of the place is well worth the trip. Make a reservation for lunch. Get there about an hour before that. You can get a drink (soft drink, wine) on the 1st floor and then spend an hour or so going through the rest of the 5 floors looking at the wonderful (and expensive) furniture. It's great!

Beautiful!

By Emma Cummings |

Absolutely stunning place, food was great and worth a wait - wandering around Restoration Hardware is the perfect way to distract yourself! We all had bacon club sandwiches, which were delicious and huge. Our waitress was very friendly, but I get the feeling she was new - a few little things went amiss. However, not enough to mar our experience. One small thing - chairs on wheels are a bad idea, especially if you aren't expecting it when you sit down! Go for the surroundings and the rest will be just fine!

You will feel like you're sitting out on a very expensive dome Amazing decoration, the best fine Champagne great Cheese I will command 3 Art Cafe for an Day time day, it have a very great romantic feeling to it Any seat there was perfect since it was in a large, gorgeous atrium with natural lighting, greenery, giant chandeliers, and a fountain right in the middle. It was gorgeous outside so we had bits of rainbows all over our table. It was such a treat.

Great spot for a drink with friends - perfect atmosphere

The atmosphere makes this location. So cozy and light. In the summer, head up to the roof deck. Appetizers are excellent and drinks are solid.

Absolute must in Chicago

By Mary L |

If you like elegant brunches then 3 Arts club cafe is a must visit in Chicago. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful neighborhood, has classy decor and good lobster rolls!

Beautiful scenery

By AMyers |

We had a lovely time except that we were seated on a couch for dinner and had to share the experience with 3 strangers. The food was good as well as the wine.

Beautiful restaurant

By Marielle G |

Very lovely resto, located inside the Restoration Warehouse. Had brunch there and the food was good too. There's a line, and guests could get a drink and explore the different floors of the RH while waiting to be seated.

Awesome Brunch!

So glad I was able to get here during my trip to Chicago! The atmosphere was awesome and food great!

A furniture store unlike any other

By Taylor B |

Is this a restaurant or a furniture store? Did I come here to buy bedding or glassware or a table centerpiece or sip a glass of cabernet sauvignon or have lunch or dinner? No doubt about it, the 3 Arts Club Cafe is a combined coffeehouse, wine bar and American restaurant housed in a 70,000-square-foot furniture store and design gallery. Located at 1300 North Dearborn Parkway, at West Goethe, in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, the 3 Arts Club Cafe can be found in the grand central garden courtyard of Restoration Hardware Chicago, which features showrooms for kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, offices and dens. Open from 10 to 9 Monday through Saturday and 10 to 7 on Sunday, it reminds of the extensive showrooms of kitchen and bathroom fixtures at Kohler Products in Kohler, Wisconsin. Meanwhile, while taking a break after browsing from room to room, you can enjoy a lunch that includes shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, a lobster roll with drawn butter and mayo, an RH Burger with sharp American cheese, onion, pickles and dijon mustard with fries, and an RH Banana Split.

Beautiful place

By Travelbug0082 |

I enjoyed my visit to the cafe, it was delightfully pretty and the banana split was just what I needed after a hot day of walking and shopping. The couch was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep on it. It was fairly crowded on a Thursday afternoon, I can imagine it will be packed on weekends. I really like how they do up the interior decor, I felt as though I was in an indoor garden.

Don’t get tricked into paying for $9 water

By laurenlspeakman |

This is one of the most magical places in Chicago, but I went for the third time the other day and unknowingly was charged $9 for water and have never been charged for water before. Make sure to ask for free tap water!

Poor,discriminatory service

By CAPHampshireEngland |

Six of usrrived at this beautiful venue for lunch aged 63,60,60,59,27 and 25. There is no waiter service for drinks so two of the party went to the bar to order-(aged 60 and 25). Woman at bar said she had to see proof of identification for all members of the party- she was not prepared to look at the group sitting down but wanted it us all to parade in front of her at the bar. Despite the ridiculousness of that request we complied. However, she rejected my daughter's ( the 25 yr old) UK driving licence as id saying she didn't recognise it as legitimate because she hadn't seen one before and wouldn't serve us ( UK driving licences look very similar to U.S, by the way). We left. We were guests in the wonderful city in the Chicago and we felt we were being discriminated against because we were foreign and didn't have U.S id. Nowhere else on our stay had treated us like this or rejected a driving licence as proof of id. Poor show,3 Arts Club Cafe, poor show.

One of the worst experience that I had at Chicago.

By ivan b |

Long, long, long wait, poor food, just normal drinks and a terrible service. The hostesses treat you like they didn’t want you to be there. I definitively don’t recomend the place.

Perfect for a weekly late breakfast!

By pattizta |

I met a friend here for a late breakfast. Neither of us had been here, and we loved it! The atmosphere and the food were just incredible. The service was s LITTLE slow, but not enough to take a star away - ladies and gay men - you MUST try this place!! (It's not really a 'guy' kind of meeting place, ya know?) These were the most incredible scrambled eggs I have ever eaten in my whole life. I swear I could try a million times and mine would never turn out this way. Never. IT IS in a Restoration Hardware store - but you'd never know it. Come at night and enjoy a glass of wine while strolling the beautiful and extremely over-priced home furnishings! :-) But if you can't afford the furniture (and really, who can?) you can certainly afford breakfast. Just go. Free valet parking!
