We were lucky enough to grab one of the last available reservations for Prime Time 60 days out from our trip. We always love visiting here when we're at Hollywood Studios. Our server for the day did not seem to be as fun and lively as we've had in the past. She did little bit of the whole visiting family experience, but not as much as in previous visits. That's a shame since that's a big part of what draws us there. The food was fine like always. I had the chicken caesar salad and my wife had the fried chicken. We both liked what we got. I'm sure we'll visit again if we make it back there, but I hope things get back to a more normal once the pandemic is completely behind us.

We were seated at 12:35 pm, very close to our reservation time 12:30. Our food finally came out at 1:30pm. Kids were starving. Don’t think it was a wait staff problem; waitress was attentive with drinks. Waitress told us this wait was typical at lunch time because kitchen is very busy at lunch. Very disappointing. We ate at Mama Melrose earlier this week and food came out promptly and delicious. Prime Time Cafe service time very disappointing.

This is a 1950's themed restaurant inside Disney's Hollywood studios. The restaurant is themed after 1950's sitcom homes like Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best and the Dick Van Dyke Show. The food is typical American comfort food like meat loaf, burgers, corn and mashed potatoes. The cast plays the part well with funny quips like you would hear on an old 1950's sitcom. There is also a full bar next to the restaurant that can be used to wait for your table. TVs are around playing old black and white TV shows for ambiance. Reservations are needed to get in without long waits. Good for kids and probably grand parents who may remember the shows first hand. It's fun and worth doing.

Super nice place, you feel at home literally. Good service. Different menu compared to fast foods. You need to book earlier.

We used to come to this restaurant because we liked the quirky atmosphere and the waiter who didn't take his job too seriously. The bill is hard to swallow, which is a shame because we won't be coming back now that the portions have gotten smaller.

What an amazing experience. Authentically styled like a 50’s diner it was a joyful place. We opted for fried chicken and the portions were huge but, so so delicious and moist. Variety of side’s available my garlic potatoes and chicken gravy were so tasty . Most importantly though, one of our party has a severe gluten allergy, not only was this not a problem but because the server Craig was so knowledgeable she was able to eat GF fried chicken and fries. Will definitely return.

Fun time. Definitely felt like the 50’s. Peggy played the part and made it fun. Kids had a great time. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the meatloaf. The desserts were fantastic. If you go make sure to finish your veggies and don’t let Peggy see you with your elbows on the table.

We went to this diner in 2023 and had such a fun experience with our waitress as it's supposed to give you the experience of dining with family in the 50's. She was in character and my kids loved that! The first time they gave rules of no elbows on the table and if you took your cell phone out they pretended they didn't know what that was and said to put that thing away or you'll come help with dishes ;). We liked it so much we booked again and waited the extra 45 min as the reservation time was behind. We did not have the same experience this time as our waiter maybe was just out of energy for the day or something but it felt like just going to any other restaurant and getting served with no 50's experience. We were disappointed as it still cost us a lot of money for a meal there and we had to wait a long time. We likely won't do that place again.

We made a reservation at 12:10 on Wednesday 28 June at 50’s Prime Time Cafe. We got a text at 12:00 that said that our table was ready. You would think that’s great we’re going to be seated soon, wrong…. we were kept in the restaurant holding area for over 40 mins and gave up waiting. We did approach the front desk to try and establish why but we’re just told to hold on. Only in Disney is it apparently acceptable to wait even when you are told your table is ready. What a crock of crap, never going to book dining in Disney again. Feel really let down and dissatisfied!!

We snagged this reservation after watching DFB (Disney Food Blog). we had no idea JUST how much we would all enjoy this meal. It is INCREDIBLE experiential dining that brought alot of joy. The portions are huge and delicious. We had pot roast and Momma's favourites, a sampler of the meatloaf, pot roast and fried chicken. We also started with the onion rings and delicious horseradish dip, and the fried herb and garlic cheese, with raspberry sauce and fresh fruit. Don't skip the appetizers, they are fabulous. Cousin Eric made the experience. We could see him doing comedy. He had our sides hurting from laughing so hard. We were so bedraggled from a full amazing day previously, and all agreed that Cousin Eric and his antics really boosted our spirits! Thank you Sir!!!

This is a good diner in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They offer very good classic dishes. We ordered the deviled eggs and onion, ring appetizers. The deviled eggs were not very good, but the onion rings were excellent; for entrees we ordered the sampler plate that consisted of fried chicken, pot, roast, and meatloaf, all portions of the entree were very good. There was a minor mixup with our reservation, when we initially entered the restaurant, but the manager owned the mistake and corrected it. My server (Perry) did an excellent job. This is a restaurant that the staff ridicules and jokes with you, it’s fun if you don’t have thin skin. This is a good place to visit when you are at Disney World. The prices is a very affordable.

We picked this place based on the reviews but we did not have a good experience. Our waitress was an older woman who was not very nice. We get the whole "shtick" but another waitress next to us was nice and fun? We had just sat down and she wanted to know what we wanted to order? We didn't even get a chance to look at anything. So we placed a drink order but before we could even give her our daughters drink order she walked away?? The food here is very heavy, pot roast, meatloaf, fried chicken, so we got salads as we wanted something light for lunch. Salads were ok but swimming in dressing..Based on our server and the heavy menu, we won't be back.

Nicely done restaurant, 50's theme. Good service, fun times. The menu is ok, I had a nice salad with soup. Also a good milk shake. Good for children and adults.

Great food, great service. We love the atmosphere here and it’s always a fun place to eat. My mom and dad loved it, it reminded them of diners back when they were younger.

First time back with my boys who are now 35 and 32. We had a great meal and a great time of memories. Boys had the sampler platter and I had the fired chicken. Food was good and service was too. Restaurant felt safe.

Food was good. One entree was enough to share. One milkshake was also enough to share. Service was slow.

This place was so cool! Our server Laura took very good care of us! My daughter loved her pot roast and both daughters loved their desserts. The fried chicken was amazing! The ambiance of the place was so well done.

It’s very sad that you cannot get a PBJ shake to go at the bar anymore. So we made a reserv and Luckily our server was nice and got our shake to go.

We re-visited this restaurant as it had been 9 years since we were here last. The memories we have are great food, atmosphere, and especially the fun and interactive wait-staff. Our youngest does not remember this place so wanted him to have the fun. IT WAS HORRIBLE! The waitress said-the rules here are eat your veggies and elbows off the table, do you know what you want? And that was it. No interaction, barely came to the table, no fun, and food was barely edible (except the pot roast). Chicken was blah. Salmon was under cooked-sent back and waitress said it was better as it was microwaved. $140 later (no special drinks or desserts) three of us were in the bathroom, and I am completely frustrated. Will never go here again. So sad.

Was wanting to love this place after researching and all the reviews. We were looking forward to the funny interactions with waitstaff and I had prepared my 7 year old daughter for this. While our waitress was incredibly sweet to my daughter, she wasn’t in character at all. While walking through the dining room to go to the bathroom, my daughter saw and heard some of the other servers and in the bathroom said “mommy I wish we had a funny waitress too”. She looked sad:( My daughter actually asked the waitress if she had any jokes and the waitress said no. She was sweet and gave us some great tips on rides in other parks but the experience just wasn’t there. The food was decent. I had the pot roast which was tender and flavorful and my husband liked his sampler platter. The glass of wine I had was a generous pour which is always appreciated:) I would try this place again if I come back to Disney and just hope for a better server. You would think they would have to audition for this role as it does involve acting/comedy. Maybe they are just short staffed since the pandemic.

We have visited Disney World multiple times a year since 2011, but this was our first visit to 50s Prime Time Cafe. We regret not visiting sooner! The staff were fun, the decor interesting, and the food was tasty. The staff are feisty, but less feisty than the staff at Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge). Our server was "Aunt Whitney" and she was a great "family" member. We already knew that we would have to mind our manners while dining here, so we didn't get into any trouble during the meal. Just be sure to set up your plate and utensils properly, keep your elbows off of the table, and eat all of your veggies. If you're a Fallout fan, it's like eating in a house from that universe, minus the Mister Handy cooking your food :-)

The atmosphere - and service - inside the Prime Time Cafe are very special. The menu less so too. Top marks for the vanilla shake. On balance our favourite restaurant in the WDW parks, knocking the Yak and Yeti over at Animal Kingdom from that spot.

Leap back into the 50’s with the golden age of black and white television and true family entertainment and cartoons. Vinyl chairs, retro tables and all the nostalgia to go along with it. Friendly staff that are attentive and helpful. Small menu but enough to keep you happy. Floats, shakes, deviled eggs, chicken pot pie and the sampler platter and your good to go.

I have to say that this was our most lokked-farward to dinner at Disney. We were not disappointed. First, the food was fine, drinks were fine. Eating there is just fine. But, the experience made us laugh so much. Our server had us going from the beginning. He was so attentive, witty, and kept up with our own family's sarcasm and sense of humor. He accommodated our requests (alcoholic iridescent drink) and joked so much that he stuffed a leftover piece of chicken in his apron pocket to "take home" with him. Seriously, I wish I would've written his name down. Because we loved him. And, if you read this, we are sad we didn't say "love you, bye!" For the record, you're expected for Christmas dinner. Miss you, love you, bye!

My family and I had gone to the 50’s prime time cafe about 2ish years ago. The waiter was excessively rude and took it way too far. He even made fun of someone in my party for her gluten allergy. So, as you can imagine, we were pretty nervous to go back. But our waiter, Dale, was literally amazing!!! He added just the right amount of comedic rudeness, but didn’t take it too far. He made us feel right at home! He also tells the best jokes!! The food was ok for the Disney price, but really what I think people are paying for is the atmosphere, which was very cool. Anyways, I just wanted to shout out a cast member that most definitely deserves it!!!

Fantastic food and amusement. Waiter was truly in character throughout, we had plenty to laugh at and thoroughly enjoyed the experince. Food and wine were delicious. We have visited here a few times over the decades and were delighted to find the atmosphere and fun are still there.

I love the '50's so this place was totally fun to eat in. I love how the cast members make you feel like you're in a big family. Our waitress didn't, but others did. The food was very good. It's located in the area near the entrance.

We almost gave up our reservation to eat sooner but boy am I glad we waited! Cousin Ryan was an amazing server he had us entertained and laughing the whole time! Just remember to keep those elbows off the table! The food was just like my parents made at home growing up! I had the meatloaf which was just as good if not better than my Dads. My daughter had the fried chicken and my husband the sampler. We had clean plates when we were finished. They accommodated my incredibly picky son with items he would actually eat. The best was the apple crisp for dessert! Highly highly recommend getting a reservation and going back in time to an era gone by!

Decided to visit here after reading some great reviews and I was the only one in our party who understood the "theme". We had a long wait in the foyer before our table was ready and although we ordered drinks there was no where to sit. The waitresses were all very good and posed for photos with us etc on our way to the table. We were served by cousin Jordan who was OK but didn't get into character as much as the other servers. Food was pricey but enjoyable. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

2nd time at this restaurant and still great. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. A shout-out to Cousin Julia who made were we had everything we needed, and that our elbows were off the table. My family and I deliberately ordered different things on the menu, and they were all great. I had the mum's sampling of everything ... that was perfect! A little bit of everything to try.

We've been to PTC many times over the past 30 years but it's just not what it used to be. The food has always been average, as an example the fried chicken is no better than what you would find at your local Cracker Barrel but twice the price. We always knew we were paying more for the experience than the food but now the experience is gone. PTC used to fun with the staff busting on you and your guest and just having fun but sometime prior to Covid WDW decided to tone down the antics and try to sell it on the food. No go, the food just isn't that good for the price and unfortunately during our visit in May 2022 the restaurant was looking run down and dirty. The props looked worn, and our TV had food stains on it. The servers were great but not as fun as they used to be. Save your money

The food wasn’t good. But it wasn’t bad either. I was happy to eat there and found it to be better than expected. The day earlier we ate at Yal and Yeti at Animal Kingdom and this was 10000x better than that. Fried chicken was fine. I enjoyed it. Onion rings were greasy but fine. Server was good. I would eat here again if at the park. If this were some restaurant elsewhere I probably wouldn’t ever return but I wouldn’t be grumpy about it either. Decent food.

The most incredible fried chicken, onion rings, fried cheese spread, shakes, coke floats and more. You betta follow all manners or you will be scolded by the waitstaff but all in good fun. Full bar upon arrival.

This place was pretty cool. Food was decent. Service was really good. The prices for what you get is kind of unfortunate, but it's Disney. The location in park is convenient. Overall good experience.

Fantastic! The food is great and really good value for the large portions. The service is unique and the 1950's interior is excellent.

I love the vintage old fashion feel that this restaurant gave us! The service from our waiter Cousin Eric was impeccable. He made the whole experience that much better!! 10/10 would 100% go again. Felt right at home

Great food, the deviled eggs were awesome! kids even ate them!! WE made the clean plate club! My 8-year-old son requested this place before we left MN. I made reservations for our day and doing lunch was a perfect time of day!!I would definitely do this again!!

This was a fun place to enjoy dinner. Our waiter was a riot and was adamant that we watch our manners!! The theme is very 50’s , they do a very good job at that. The food was good as well. It was nice having right at the park . Well the waiter told me several times not to be a tattletale. So after several times of being warned, he made me get up and stand in the middle of the restaurant with my nose to wall and yelled out to everyone that I was a tattletale. Then at the count of three the whole restaurant yelled “ stop being a brat”! It was absolutely hysterical !! Our waiter made it really fun for our dinner experience . If you don’t like being pranked or told what to do don’t go to this restaurant lol. You need a sense of humor !! We will definetly come back here!

This restaurant was the best food and dining experience my family had during our entire trip. Our waitress "Mom" Ann Marie was amazing as was Aunt Liz’s fried chicken. We will definitely be back again!!

DELICIOUS SUPPER!! WELL SERVED, JUST LIKE THE ANTS LIKE IT. HIPER BACANA AMBIENTS THAT ARE THE TYPICAL AMERICAN CUISINES OF THE 50S!!! PERFECTOOOOOOOOOOOO

We come here every time we’re at Hollywood Studios and it’s consistently awesome. The new cornbread appetizer is fantastic. The menu isn’t large and doesn’t have to be. The chicken pot pie is the best thing on the menu and will rival anything homemade. The sampler is also a good choice.

Food was good but service was poor. 25 mins after our reservation time we were called after having to ask how late they were running. No update from the plentiful crew members at the desk. We were then sat down and again the server took a while to serve our drinks. We only had entrees, which were served one hour and ten mins after our reservation time! Deserts were ok, again slow service.

I am not a big fan of resturants where the staff is acting to be mean to you, and I was worried about that, The service was great. There was a little no elbows on the table stuff, to keep up the theme, but we were not harassed about it. When our son wasn’t eating she got on him a bit. And when she left we taught him how to spread his food out and make it look more eaten. The bar drinks, were quite good and we really enjoyed the fried chicken and onion rings. This place may be a server dependent, but I think we had just the right balance, and enjoyed the meal a lot.

We stayed in Disney for 1 week universal the 2nd our worst and overpriced meal was the 50s cafe no refills offered meal was average at best . All 6 of our party said it was poor or average 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁

Good filling lunch. Had the fried chicken, potatoes, and corn. It was tasty comfort food. Waitress was not "over the top" in character, which was fine with us. Niece had a gluten free pasta choice and said it was very good.

One thing is the theme restaurant, but the fact that the waiter “Eric“throws on the table the straws that we asked for, was an unpleasand experience. This is not the way to teach kids the good manners and his disrespect and his lack of kindness with us was a really bad experience. Especially when, we have raised the kids in the best way possible to be in this society.

I've been wanting to eat at this restaurant for more than 20 years & for one reason or another, it has never worked out. This time we made it a priority & it was worth it! The 50s theme is carried throughout the whole restaurant down to the smallest detail. It looks like you went back in time to that decade. The server, Cousin Dan, really did feel like family. The food was plentiful & delicious. My daughter & I shared the fried chicken which was yummy!! Very crispy & not greasy at all! My other daughter & husband shared the chicken pot pie & they really enjoyed it! Both my daughters are adults & the meals were big enough to share! We definitely saved room for dessert; milkshakes!! They were HUGE, but we didn't share those! I got the peanut butter & jelly which I absolutely loved. My husband & daughters each got chocolate. They liked them, but found them a bit too thick for their liking. If you are in Hollywood Studios & want a fun meal, go to 50's Prime Time Cafe!!

We have eaten here on past trips but this time the food was not as good. We ordered the fried chicken, onion rings, chicken noodle soup (was $9.00 for very small bowl) peanut butter and jelly shake (very good) and the chocolate peanut butter cake. (Was also good) The desserts and shakes are very good but food is just not up to par. It is very expensive also. My daughter tried to order mashed potatoes as a second thought after we had ordered and we were told the kitchen had closed. We probably will not eat here again.

Loud wait staff. All very shouty. Home style tables with home style 50s food. Very tasty but you’ve got to not mind the loud staff.

This seems like a fun place. Got seated quickly. Coffee took a long time and was lukewarm. (But did have a lot of flavor). Real cream so that’s a plus. Pot pie was very good. Child’s sloppy Joe with mashed potatoes and corn. Bun terrible, sloppy Joe greasy and very spicey. Potatoes and corn very good. Will I go back. Never

Just returned from 5 days in WDW with our adult children and grandchildren. For dinners I tried to book only places that the grandkids, 7 and 4 , would enjoy. This seemed like it would be a fun experience for them based on the description. Had no expectations of anything other than average food. Not only was the experience an absolute blast for adults and kids alike, but the food was quite excellent as well. We each ordered different items and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The cornbread was terrific as was the Long Island Iced Tea. Highly recommend the chicken pot pie and the pot roast. Pasta dish was on the spicy side but very tasty as well. The chocolate cake was wonderful. Our server was not one of the better "performers" although she was a great server. However, in the room that we were seated there were two other cast members who totally got into their roles as described. They had everyone laughing and joining in. Will absolutely return on future trips!

We arrived on time for an 11:30am reservation a few days before Christmas (very crowded park) and waited just a few minutes for seating. It was already pretty full of happy eaters. Tables have a good amount of space between. The cute wisecracking waittess had us laughing and the food was great! I had the tomato soup and lettuce wedge while my carni family had the chicken caesar salad, fried chicken platter, and giant shakes. This was a much needed break from Pop Century’s cafeteria and I was grateful for the nongreasy meal!

Always a good meal here, prices are worth it for the quality of food. Very attentive waitstaff, whether it was asking for (free) soda refills or saying there weren’t enough mashed potatoes on plate. Just a fun time all around. Recommended.

You come to Disney and you spend your life savings. You come to Disney and book memorable experiences, to include dining, for your kids. You come to Disney and expect to be treated with respect and compassion. The staff at 50s prime time was rude, unaccommodating, and left the worst taste in our mouth after a lovely day at the parks. We tried to access our reservation after being late due to bus delays that were out of our control. The management at 50s told us that we’d have to wait an additional 30 min when our party, including two kids, were utterly exhausted and all the adults starving. It was the singular, isolated Disney dining experience that was absolutely unacceptable. Especially after our tired group was looking forward to a sit down meal at 8pm after a full day. I will NEVER return here and will dissuade any family/friends from ever booking dining at 50s prime time. And for mediocre food too. 🙄

Food was not great...I was really hoping for that feeling of being a kid but it did not live up to my wishes. The service however was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the fact that our server scolded our son who is 16 from being on his walkie-talkie (cell phone) at the table and gave him some constructive games that he had to use his thinking cap on.

I never grew up in the 50's era but if I did, it would be pretty cool just like this restaurant. The decor is amazing with their 50's era tables, wallpaper and black and white TV's. It's kind of like eating in mama's kitchen. The food here is pretty good. We started off the skillet cornbread. It was excellent and comes with honey butter. I ordered the sampling of mom's favorite recipes. It's fried chicken, meat loaf, pot roast, green beans and mashed potatoes. My favorite was definitely the fried chicken. The rest were pretty good. My only complaint would be paying $30 for my meal and getting small portions of everything. Service was excellent as the wait staff gives you a little 50's era sass with your meal

This place was the best. I got busted right off the bat for putting my elbows on the table. But when it came time to set the table our waitress was impressed LOL. Momma taught me right. The atmosphere was great. The service was great. The food was the best I had this whole trip. I ate so much I Was hurting. If this place was close to my house I would eat here every night.

We decided to try something different and so glad we did. We had cousin Luke and he was an awesome server. He did not get into the funny antics, but was very efficient and really knew the menu. If you are on the fence about trying this place...please try it! Get the onion rings, pot roast, fried chicken, and peanut butter milk shake:)

We got a reservation here last minute while on the Hollywood park. Everywhere else was booked up. I’m not surprised having now eaten there; the food was mediocre at best. $246 for a family of 6, we spent that same amount at Jaleo in Disney Springs a few nights ago and it was 100 times more worth it. The chicken pot pie was like a soup with grey chicken floating in it. The Caesar salads were just drowning in sauce. The best thing about the meal was the puddings, they were nicely done. The entrees look like they’ve been thrown together. We found the service a little bit intimidating, I understand they’re in character but it was a bit much the way they pester you to finish your plate. The decor is amazing and that, coupled with the desserts, is the only reason I’m giving 3 stars and not 2.

And relax with a good meal. Remember your grandparents' kitchen? This is walking back in time to those old memories of the family sitting down in their 1950s kitchen. The food is American fare, and the servers reprimand bad manners. But it's all in fun and definitely a memory recall and a memory maker.

Enjoyable break for lunch. We enjoyed the 50s style decor and food. The Chicken Cesar Salad, Pot Roast, Meatloaf were very good. The Moms Favorite was a great option to try them all. The apple cobble was delicious. The shake are very good also. Worth checking out when at Disney Hoolywood.

Eric, our server, was the best of the best. A great sense of humor and professionalism. Food was ok. Not the best. Would still recommend at least once during your stay here.

We hadn’t planned on eating here, but when the forecast turned we made a reservation for a good sit down meal that was warm and comfortable. 50’s Prime Time Cafe checked all the boxes. They texted us when our table was ready, sat us quickly after we arrived. The table was comfortable and our server Uncle Tim from China was really good. We both opted for the famous fried chicken and it was really moist and flavorful. We got the appetizer onion rings to start and they were very good also. The theming inside is so very good, every nook and cranny holds some 50’s reference item. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and most of all the outstanding food.

Themed restaurant with waiters trained in giving visitors an experience, with very original decor and tasty, home-style food, as seen on American TV. I recommend

My wife and I were lucky to get on the waitlist and promptly get a seat (probably because there were only two of us). Given our age, we appreciated the 50's references (which we didn't live through but remembered from parents and TV reruns!). We split the cornbread skillet appetizer (large portion and excellent!) and the sampler meal (fried chicken, meatloaf, pot roast, and green beans). The pot roast was fork-tender and very good. The fried chicken was good (it was two wings - no drumsticks) as was the meatloaf. We then shared the very good hummingbird cake dessert. We were stuffed after that meal. Service was prompt and friendly. The prices seemed reasonable for Disney and for the quantity/quality of food.

We had Uncle Tim, good server, nice to talk to. I had a Caesar salad with Salmon for $20. It included a nice piece of fish, just the right amount of dressing with plenty of cheese. My wife order the Fried Chicken dinner for $27. It had 4 moist and tender pieces of chicken, which she shared with me. It came with 2 sides, which she subbed out to something she liked. My Iced Tea was refreshing on a fairly hot day and refilled numerous times. Our food came out so quickly, that I forgot to take pictures!

the food was terrible the drinks tasted like poo there was hair in my food i wish i would of never came here terrible nasty horrible

Food was delicious and we had the funniest server! His name is Nick so if you enjoy some good food with a nice side of humor definitely ask for Nick! He was so funny he had my kids cracking up. Food was good too. Favorite was the pot roast. Really cool place and felt like grandmas house with the “no elbows on the table!” rule and all! We definitely recommend the sampler platter if you’re indecisive!

Absolutely loved both visits to this cool diner during our Disney vacation. Our server Antonio on the first visit was the best waiter we have had ever at any restaurant. He was friendly, funny and we did a whole Disney movie quiz on napkins with the kids. Food was plentiful and tasty. Second visit we had a delightful server and I cannot remember her name but she had the loveliest manner and cool cat earrings. She named me below lady as I kept forgetting about the 50s etiquette and putting my elbows on the table. This is such a fun experience for families and the theming, food and friendly staff make it so memorable. Thank you!

Food was not good at all. Terrible Caesar salad and other family members food was cold. Fried chicken was not good at all and the worst part was it was a fortune. Totally overpriced.

Love the atmosphere! Server Chris was terrific embracing the theme. Food not so good but the experience makes up for it.

My wife and I made a dinner reservation here based on previous reviews. We ordered the milk shakes as our drink. They were large with a lot of ice cream. We couldn't decide what to order so we both ordered the sampler. Consisted of meat loaf, brisk and chicken. All were delicious Everything was fine until we went to pay our bill with our Visa Disney card. I asked for my 10% discount for using our card. Our server said ( oh we don't honor that here) then she stated most places don't. This is the 7th Disney restaurant we ate at to include Disney Springs and each place honored the discount. The 10% really did not make a difference, it was just the principal. I ended up paying with another card

Food was fantastic but the service was outstanding: friendly and fun. Our waitress Teigen was simply the best … super cool and accommodating. This will be our regular dinner spot when visiting HS from now on!

On Sept 10th, as a family celebration, booked month's in advance as a surprise "experience" for our adult children. What a disappointment!! Was expecting an "experience" ended up with the sweetest waitress we've ever had, which was the complete opposite of the expected experience, and ok food. Money not well spent.

Food was amazing and Aunt Whitney (our server) was incredible. She made sure everything was correct and she had such a great personality for the restaurant theme.

Never been to the restaurant before, my sister booked it as a surprise as my first time In Disney. I hadn’t a clue what it was about. I was taken aback when I was told off for going to the toilet by the host, I did answer her back and then I released what it was all about. They are going to be rude to you, it’s part of the experience. Our server was funny. We all interacted with him and had a lot of laughs. As for the food, the fried cheese amazing, beef perfect, dessert to die for. Go with an open mind and understand the concept and u will enjoy. Service is rude but w that’s the fun factor of the place. Good good food Thank you.

For those that have never been, this restaurant is a must. The dining area is themed in the 50's with TV's playing portions of 50 to early 60's sitcoms clips. The server is the key to a great experience. If the server is in character, they are a relative or friend of the family. Family rules apply. No elbows on the table, no bickering and must be polite. In past visits I have sung for the restaurant, "I am a little tea pot" while my kids stood in the corner. The food portions are like at home. Fried chicken or meatloaf or beef...separately or as the sampler....huge amount of food. If you are the type of person that is shy, inform the host(ess) and the server will allow to enjoy everyone else.

The food was pretty good. We split the Sampling of Mom's Favorite Recipes. The main problem I had was all the gravy all over everything. I am just not a gravy fan. That said, the meatloaf was better than expected, the pot roast was good, and the chicken delicious. The green beans were good, the mashed potatoes also good. We had been avoiding this restaurant because we thought they 'yelled' at people, but our waitress didn't yell and I didn't hear anybody else get yelled at. Other reviews said how entertaining this restaurant is, but I had no entertainment.

Although we had to wait even though we had a reservation it was worth it. Food was very good and everyone left full and content. Our waitress was extremely busy and didn’t seem to get into character like I’ve heard. We didn’t mind but enjoyed watching other tables interact with theirs. Great theming of Walt around. Would definitely try again.

went here about 8 to 10 years ago, and it was amazing. I had pot roast, and always talked about how it was the best pot roast I've ever eaten, so this October, I wanted to go back. It was terrrible!!! The pot roast was stringy and inedible. The potatoes underneath were good, but not nearly enough. My son didn't like his fried chicken either. The only reason I'm giving it a rating of two instead of one, is because our waitress was really nice, and my husband and son really liked their peanut butter and jelly shake, and soda float

I have always enjoyed going especially with family and friends. I felt overlooked when I went last time because I was traveling solo. The wait staff did not joke with me and at times I felt that because I was solo this time I was not treated with the care and sarcasm and was pretty much ignored. I would not return when traveling WDW by myself. The food was not as good either. I will pass.

Best experience ever! Great food and Brother Stephen made us laugh so hard. He was so entertaining and roasted our daughter for elbows on the table, taking her phone out. Of course it was all in fun and we enjoyed the dinner immensely.

We went here as part of a birthday supper during a Disney visit. The meal and service was excellent along with staff serving a Mickey birthday cake and signing happy birthday. Enjoyed the atmosphere and service.

We enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of days later. The food is so good that you wish you could eat more without getting full. The decor takes you back in time. The service is great, the waiters make you laugh. Great add to your vacation.

We love this place when visiting HS. It's a very cute themed restaurant! Our server was very nice. No elbows on the table. Lol The cornbread appetizer was so good! Our food was the best!

Made a reservation and was seated on time after grabbing a quick drink at the bar in the restaurant. Great '50's theming all around. We got the Chicken Pot Pie and Sampler entrees. Food was served quick. Chicken Pot Pie was a favorite. The sampler came with fried chicken (white meat/breast), pot roast, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and steamed green beans. The fried chicken was the star on the plate - crispy and juicy. Runner-up was the pot roast and last place goes to the meat loaf. Mashed potatoes were ok, green beans were leathery and chewy. Got Pineapple Upside Down Cake for dessert. It was unremarkable to be honest. The shakes and floats appear to be the hit here. I was told to expect some ribbing from the wait staff and to expect to be given a hard time all in good fun. It was really mild and nothing more along the lines of puns and joking around. Good service and friendly staff. Would go back again just for the fried chicken.

It was okay. The food is very heavy. My daughter had chicken pie, my husband had the fried chicken, I had the pot roast. It was warm, portions were large, but I wouldn't go again.

SERVICE WAS GREAT, chris was our server and he was great! Just having tv connect to your table was the ! Food was great! I would definitely recommend anyone to come here and i definitely will return to this place ! I was iffy at first but im glad i went ahead and join the staff and ate there

The food at this location and service were excellent. The problem we had was the table next to us there was a man having a loud argument with a lady at the table. Numerous employees saw this, and nothing was done about it. When we were leaving, we told the people at the desk about it and still nothing was done

Service was poor. Our server never brought water, even though we asked. When we finally got water, it was never refilled so we had to get some ourselves at the bar when we left.

This was my first time here. We had a 1:30 pm lunch reservation for my family of seven including three preschoolers. This is a 1950’s style and design cafe. They have 1950’s Disney branded TVs hanging from the ceiling with old black and white TV programs. We were seated at a nice large table for eight. I started with and enjoyed my Dad cocktail, their Patron Platinum margarita with salt, Patron silver tequila, cointreau liqueur, lime juice and sweet and sour mix for $17. I also enjoyed my cousin Megan’s traditional meatloaf with a blend of beef and pork topped with tomato glaze served with roasted garlic-mashed potatoes and green beans for $24. Justin G. served us very well in his 1950’s style, including eating all of my green beans, which I did not eat so Justin was disappointed. 18% gratuity was automatically added to my bill, which was $276. Food and service were both good here.

Our experience here was a bit disappointing. As far as the food, we knew it was old fashioned home style cooking and that's what was delivered- so no complaints on the food. We came here more for the cast member interaction and the experience that we had on a previous trip. Our waiter did not play the part and there was no experience to be had.

A nice restaurant which gets busy and takes you back to the 50's. The food is nice and staff great. If you do not like sweat corn, feel free to ask for an alternative. Always ask for more gravy if required. Basically if you meed something, just ask.

We snagged a reservation at the 60 day reservation window. The reviews didn’t disappoint and our kids loved the restaurant. Our server, Nick made the whole meal and highly entertained us all. The food was good - our whole family was raving about the potatoes. So far, our favourite meal in the parks.

Our family enjoyed dinner at Prime Time. We made reservations well in advance of our park visit. Server was excellent. Food was outstanding. My wife and I had Mom's Old-fashioned Pot Roast - OMG it was fantastic! Our daughter had Cousin Megan's Traditional Meatloaf - fantastic! Our son in law had A Sampling of Mom's Favorite Recipes - he was smiling the whole time he was eating. We were too full for desert. The TV programs took us back to our childhood. We will eat at 50's Prime Time when we visit DisneyWorld in the future!

We managed to get a last-minute reservation on a Friday night to this restaurant. We'd never been here before so was not too sure what to expect. It is very kitsch - 50s themed and with servers reminding you that you are in Ma's kitchen so don't forget your table manners. If is not your kind of fun, then this may not be the place for you. The portions - as with a lot of places in the US - are huge. I had the fried chicken, which was delicious, but far too big for me (Sorry Ma my days of eating even 1/4 a chicken are long gone let alone a half chicken). At least it meant dinner for both of us the next day. Himself had the pot roast, which just melted in the mouth and was full of flavour. Both of us really loved the mashed potatoes and gravy that came with our meals, and I don't usually like gravy at all. We did manage to muster enough space for the upside pineapple cake. It was really lovely, full of flavour and the cake was incredibly light. This may not have been the cheapest meal we'd had a Disney, but it was definitely worth every penny. Thanks Ma!

Everyone had meatloaf with veggies and corn bread skillet as well as onion rings. Best moist corn bread. Server Max was very attentive and funny. Joked around. Loved the food and fun atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed.

My family had dinner at the 50s Prime Time Cafe. The food was delicious. The chef came to our table to help customize my meal to accommodate my many food allergies. He was very kind and helpful. Our waitress, Claudia, was a doll. She felt like you were being served by your funny, adorable grandma. The other waitress in the room, Mary Ann, was an absolute joy. She managed to make all the tables around her laugh. Her joyful energy was infectious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. We loved it so much! It was one of the highlights of our visit to Hollywood Studios. I highly recommend this restaurant!

One of our favorite Disney restaurants! When researching what restaurants were in Hollywood Studios, I came across this Cafe and immediately knew I wanted to come here. It did not disappoint! Get a reservation if you can and you’ll get right in. The table set-up is darling with shows from the oldies playing on a tv near the table and we felt like we had been transported back to the 50’s. Our waiter, Mathew was amazing and even made us our favorite custom sodas with syrup and cream. He made us laugh the whole time and made the experience that much better. Would recommend to anyone at Hollywood Studios! Great for families. Delicious food. We had the Caesar Salad with Chicken, Fried Chicken, and Kids meal of grilled chicken. Large portions all around. Milkshakes and desserts were amazing. All the food was delicious! Moderate/affordable prices for food within the Disney Parks. Reservation recommended.

Whenever we are at the Disney Hollywood Studios we try to make a reservation at the 50s Prime Time Café. From the décor, to the service and environment, one will certainly have fun. The waiter/waitress is your cousin, there are some rules - no elbows on the table, no talking on your "walkie talkie" and eat all your vegetables - and you help "set the table". One feels at like one is eating at a family home. The portions are generous and the food is great. Busy place, so make reservations.

Really enjoyed the back and forth with the waitresses. Meal was large and was worth the price relative to the location. Will defiantly go back. Dessert was fantastic.

Food: when I went, we ordered the dish that comes a bit of everything (a sample of Mommy's favorite recipes) and the portions were very tasty, even though there was nothing that was wonderful. I found the price generous too, with the very well served dish coming out for less than 30 dollars. Attention: the "cousin" who attended us was very nice. Maybe one of the coolest waitresses I've ever met in my whole life. Even though they treat you as family is part of the restaurant's proposal, I found this treatment very nice and really felt at home. The food also came fast. The only thing that bothered me is that the receptionist seemed to be looking ugly at my family, especially my father, because we're Latinos. When my dad told her we had Reservation, she looked at him from top to bottom and was pretty thick. But the service of the waiter was so good, that this bad look did not spoil the experience at all. Environment: very well themed place that really makes you go back in time. Very nice place. General: Considering that Hollywood Studios is not famous for its good restaurants, the 50s is a pleasant surprise of good food and great service.

This was the most fun I have had in a restaurant in a long time. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our waitress was just the nicest person ever and the atmosphere alone is worth it. We had Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken. The pieces of chicken were huge and the garlic mashed potatoes were to die for. Our waitress interacted with us and gave me a lesson or two about table etiquette....all in good fun. My husband said it was the best Root Beer he ever drank in his life. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come back if we get to visit again. They were very accommodating when we asked if they could take our picture; they even suggested we go out front where there is a makeshift kitchen for a background. Our waitress joined us for a picture and the other staff member who took our picture even photo bombed us. lol. How hilarious is that. Do not miss out on the fun to be had at this place. Book today.

I had Mom’s sampler which contained pot roast, fried chicken, and meatloaf with 2 sides. I also ordered the BP & Jelly shake. The food was good. My shake tasted more like peanut butter. I didn’t taste the jelly that much but it was good nonetheless. The atmosphere is very noisy.

We got a last minute booking for Fantazmic Dining Package. Amazing place, food excellent, staff hilarious! Great size portions. Slightly in the upper price bracket, but worth every penny.

Pot pie was excellent! Kids loved the grilled chicken and macaroni. Specialty drinks were tasty. Milkshakes were yummy! The stern waiter surprised my autistic daughter but she seemed to enjoy it. We loved it.

The location and the ambiance are wonderful, the service is excellent, really adapted to the ambiance. Food was excellent.

Whitney was amazing she was our server for tonight. Our son turned 14 and it was an amazing experience there and she was really funny his name was Alex and he had a very good time. I would like to thank Whitney for this experience. I would highly say that you should come here everyone was very funny and friendly.

We loved the place, Garçon (Stephen) super friendly, attentive and healthy games. He recommends not to use a cell phone, not to leave an elbow on the table, that you eat everything and if you don’t eat it he does a “small plane” encouraging and almost “obliging” the person to eat, rs, rs, referring to the old educations so that our parents acted at the time. The food was wonderful and well served, referring to mom spice. Anyway... it was worth it. We like it.

This is our favourite place to eat when in hollywood studios just love the staff and ambience of the place . The chicken is amaizing but too much for me.

We enjoyed our lunch here, and the food was great! We got the sampler meal which had 3 different meats and a couple sides. Everything tasted delicious, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Our table had the tv with the 50's shows playing. Our waitress wasn't as loud and funny as some others nearby, but we really liked her. We've been here a couple times before years ago, and it's still great!

This is probably one of the most quirky dining experiences at Disney. At least from my experience. One shouldn’t be an introvert, as the servers really interact with the guests and play almost a bit of theatre for them. The food was classic fare, turkey and all the trimmings and such. It was good, not excellent, but good. I found a little bit more seasoning would have helped, but that comes down to personal preference. I think the prices here are quite fair and even if you’re not using a Disney Dining plan it’s ok for the location (inside the park). All in all, I’d come back here.

Disappointed!!! We heard how fun this place was and were looking forward to humorous interactions. Unfortunately we had a waiter who didn't bother with any of the schtick. He did not say anything about being part of the "family", minding our manners, cleaning our plate, etc. The food was just OK and overpriced. I would have been fine with that if our server had played the part. I noticed other severs getting into character. Just not ours. It was a real let down for us.

Great concept and great food. The fried chicken and garlic mash was very nice Our waitress was really fun. It was like sitting in a 50s house 😀

We had such a blast at this place 11 of us from grandparents down to 3 year olds. The staff were amazing and the food was good too. Well worth a visit if you are at Disney.

There was not one bad thing about this place. The theme of the restaurant is having to follow mom's rules like no elbows on the table and finish your vegetables. Our waitress was fantastic in every way. The fried chicken was top notch and my parents enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere definitely resembled the 50's decor and had TV's running with shows from that era. Highly recommend this place if you are able to get a reservation.

Pot Roast, meatloaf and Friend Chicken were amazing. Great atmosphere. Waitresses play to the part, no they are not rude!! This will be a must any time we visit Disney..

We had a great time at this restaurant. Request a table by a TV, if they have it available. This place is as much about the performance by the waitstaff as it is about anything else. I wished there were more restaurants like this in Disney. The food was good (simple fare - so hard to call it great). I had the pot pie, which was very good. I would come back again, I had so much fun. Only complaint was that we had to wait 20 minutes before they could seat us.

You select from a menu as the cafe transports you back to the 50's and mind your manners. Waitress friendly and quickly served and the food nice as ever.

I couldn’t wait to go here! Make reservations as soon as the app allows. I didn’t tell my husband the theme. Loved it when he got in trouble for wearing his hat and making crumbs. Chicken was great and so was the pot pie. Took several desserts for later and they were good as well. Peanut butter cake is a must! Thank you cousin Julie

Cool place to have a tasty dinner! Do remember to book reservations several months in advance and also to clean your plate. =)

I am not sure I really got the experience - our waiter certainly wasn't playing a role. The fried chicken was nice enough - but I think there are better Disney themed restaurants to spend your money.

We had almost as much fun eating here as going on a ride! Get in the spirit of the place by interacting with the staff and you will have a blast. If you’re “thin skinned” and don’t appreciate sarcasm, don’t go. The food was good, too.

Atmosphere was perfect, with old tv shows showing on the tv’s on every table. Food was unexpected, the kind you would get at your grandmothers. Servers polite and in characters at all time, even helping to calm crying children. Which seemed to work every time.

We had lunch here with our adult children while visiting Hollywood Studios. My daughter was originally skeptical because she remembers being asked to “finish her veggies” by the waitress the LAST time we had lunch here (many moon ago :)). A Loukili was our waiter … he was SO MUCH FUN. From the moment we sat down, we were roaring with laughter. Our favorite part was when he asked our kids to sing a song for us. Food was good. We bought the Fantasmic lunch package (which we felt was a good deal - a drink, entree, AND dessert + preferred seating at Fantasmic). Highly recommend eating here … it’s a show that everyone stars in (and the wait staff make you feel right at home).

Food was great ! Claudia the waitress from Jersey was adorable , entertaining and like everybody's grandmother ! Loved her ! The apple pie alamode and the roast beef was very good ! The fried chicken is good too !

Food was aweful cold and stodgy not what we expected from an American Diner?! All pot roast meat loaf and fried chicken!!!! Like a prison “Mom” told use to keep elbows off the table, eat up all our veggies, and to do our chores cleaning the table?! That’s taking theme to the extreme! Would highly not recommend!!!!!!

$30 for cold Sampler Platter. Brown gravy had skin on it since it had been sitting so long. Yuk. Service was good but somewhat invasive. But that is part of the experience.

We loved this place. It’s soooo funny reading the reviews saying the wait staff are rude - that’s the point they’re playing a role and it’s so funny to watch! We had an awesome experience and it was funny hearing people being told off for putting their elbows on the table or not cleaning up after themselves. I would absolutely go back here for the experience. The food was also very good. I would recommend going in an evening as in hot weather it was quite uncomfy walking round in the heat after a big hot meal but it was super tasty. We had the chicken pie and the milkshakes are incredible!

The food was good and we were able to share due to the large portions. I expected more variety. However, we were not prepared for the rude experience from our server. It was over the top and not for us. My young children didn’t understand and I just felt he was being over the top rude and scolding us. He did change his tune half way through after relaxing we were not into it. We will be trying other restaurants in Epcot next time.

Choose very happy, one of the best park restaurant options in Orlando. Milk-shake wonderful, ordered the dish with 3 specialties from the house, delicious. Fried chicken, meat cake and baked lamb. Worth every penny.

We are in our 70's so this was a trip down nostalgia road. Loved the old 50's décor, food was excellent. Waitress was funny telling us to eat all our food, keep our elbows off the table etc. We had the pot roast meal and the sampler of chicken, meatloaf and pot roast. Included was fresh green beans and mashed potatoes which tasted like the real thing. We had our family with us and we all agreed it was the best meal while at 3 of the Disney parks.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here. Loukili was our server and he made the experience one of our best. Our party of 10 was across 2 tables in a room with 2 other parties. The food was very good, but the absolute best part was the entertainment factor. We would absolutely do this again!

Excellent! From the moment we walked in we were entertained by the whimsical settings, the charming staff and wowed by the quality of the food. I was treated to the special, a bowl of shrimp and grits, my wife had the sampler (pot roast, fried chicken and meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans) and my boys had hot dogs and hamburgers with fries. The food was spot on. Nothing at the whole table wasn’t delicious (yes, I sampled it all). Our server, Tim, was a hoot and our family photo even made the fridge. Best food I had at Disney!

This restaurant has fun theming to make it feel like you're dining in your parent's kitchen right out of the 1950s. If possible, try to get a "TV table", where you'll have your own black & white TV at the end of your table showing a loop of clips from TV shows from the 1950s! The menu here is comfort food. I had the "Sampling of Mom's Favourite Recipes", but the pot roast and meatloaf were by far the best on this platter. You can order either of those as full-size entrees, and you won't go wrong with either choice. The wait staff aren't as sarcastic and "in your face" as they were prior to the pandemic, but they still act in a similar fashion where all the staff are your cousins, they'll make a few jokes and scold you if you don't eat all your vegetables! It's still a fun place to eat with large portions and isn't overly expensive (by Disney standards).

The food was excellent and the decor was fun. The real highlight was the serving staff. Our waiter, Nick, was skilled and funny. He made us all smile during our stay at this restaurant. Thank you Nick!

The theme of “this is Mom’s kitchen” would be fun for some but felt exhausting with young (hot and tired) children. I was looking forward to this lunch being an oasis and a break like our Magic Kingdom and Epcot lunches…but this place had “rules” and we just weren’t in the mood for that. Waitress did seem to read us appropriately and not overdo it, but I wouldn’t take kids back there again.

Stopped here for lunch. Three of us had salads which were goof and my sons split the fried chicken which they said was good. Good milkshakes, too.

The food is not my favorite part. The food is OK but there aren't a lot of choices and I am a picky eater. The food is plentiful, and it does taste good, just not a favorite. Now the experience as a whole is AWESOME. Each time we go to Disney we try to get reservations here. Our family loves the fun time that the wait staff provides.

Great food. We felt like we were in a time warp with the decor. We loved it. The staff were in character, so great. We had the fried chicken, Chicken Caesar salad and a chocolate shake. The chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy were excellent. The Caesar salad was very good, the chicken was moist and nicely seasoned. It seemed there was hardly any chicken but most of it was hidden under the lettuce. Both entrees were filling. The milkshake was very tasty, nice and thick. We would definitely eat here again. The food and atmosphere are so worth it.

The menu serves comfort classics. I had the meatloaf (yummy!). My husband and I both got the “Cleaned My Plate” stickers. Our youngest daughter has autism and has frequent outbursts. They were very understanding and sat us where our waitress was a gentle lady we called “Mama Mary”. She was very kind and sweet, reminded me of grandmother right away. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. If you have anyone in your party with special needs, let them know before they seat you so they can adjust the “theming “ as necessary for your group. I didn’t mind the theme at all! In fact that’s what I enjoyed the most. The theme of the restaurant is “Moms 50’s Kitchen”, with each table setting set up like a moderate family table setting in the 50s, the waitress is direct and firm and fuses are you like a mom from that era, getting at you about elbows off the table, no “walkie talkies” (cell phones) at the table, no talking with your mouth full, etc… and there’s a TV at every table (which I’m supposing was a thing in the 1950’s…. I was born in the 80s). Although our server was going lite on the fussy mom , it was fun to see the other waitress mom in our area giving the full experience to other patrons in our area. I loved it! It got me emotional thinking of my late grandmother, serving the comforts I grew up on in her kitchen, and the food tasted great! I highly recommend!

When you visit here expect to now having to you your phone to inspect the menu. They will of course give you one when you ask. The staff member never asked if eaten here or told me the rules, even though knew them. No interaction with them. The food was nice but the prices now at Disney getting ridiculous. You could pay your staff more from that alone. The choice never alters which is a shame. I asked for tomato sauce so he brings me hot barbecue. The states should of asked for ketchup. Really, staff have never had issue before. If I could have paid with exact money I would have done, he deserved no tip whatsoever. Had to complain regarding a personal comment he made about me? Disney customer service no better either

This review is on the Hostess at restaurant as I will do a separate review on the rest of the visit separate. This review is on the hostess Kailee at the 50’s prime time restaurant. I had a reservation at the 50’s Prime Time Restaurant. After checking in front of the restaurant, we were asked to step inside the door inside the either into the lounge area or the bar area. So my friend and I stepped inside. I had just purchased 3 iced coffees at Joffrey before arriving (2 was for friends meeting us, that was arriving shortly). I had my hands full so I stepped closest to the counter at the front door because lounge and bar was full and I needed to adjust my back pack and set drinks down as to not spill them. Then our other 3 guest arrived who stepped in and I was having a conversation with one friend and gave their coffee to. Two stepped further into the lounge area. A young man came in and called for some guest and Kailee was behind the desk the whole time talking to an older lady. Then out no where Kailee got rude and snapped at my friend and the guest to get out of the lounge area and to get our coffee off the desk. She told us to go to the bar area. So we moved and then she and the woman were making comments about our coffees to each other. I did respond to her and told her she did not have to be rude and have an attitude. In which she just smirked and ignored me. ( we have been in the 90 degree heat all day and did not to be treated like this), she could have been nicer and didn’t deserve to be treated like this. I didn’t mind moving and we all did and she continued to behave in an unprofessional manner. I have worked and managed restaurants and I would never have a hostess with an attitude like that interact with guest. She was rude and disrespectful and continued the attitude even after we late and was leaving. She has no business in a position where she has to interact with guest. I took a picture of her Immediately after our first the interaction so I can get her name and remember it to write this review and she was aware I took it and still continued with attitude.

This is a 50s experience. The food is american comfort food and you get a funny interaction with the servers. My little one loved the Aunt Betty's Chicken Strips and the hubby had the 50’s Prime time Café Blue Plate Special - chicken pot, which was massive, I had the meatloaf, which was good but really salty. The meal defo fills you up for all day!

I visited 50s near the end of the evening. I had just cut my leg on MMRR and almost canceled. I was very happy I did not. As soon as I was seated I was seated, I propped up my leg on the opposite chair. (I know rather tacky). My server at once yelled at me to get my feet off the furniture. As soon as I told him about my injury, he was marvelous! Alan insisted I must be looked at immediately. After being cleared, we traded barbs and I had a wonderful dinner. Nothing exotic, onion rings and fried chicken. Both were good, but Alan was the best part of my dinner experience!

We went with 2 young kids and 3 teens. We all enjoyed ourselves. Atmosphere was fun. Food was tasty and the shakes were great. They accommodated a meal for our youngest teen who wanted something off the kids menu. We had “daffy duck” for our waiter! My kids were amazed.

Friends recently had a great dinner at 50s Prime Time Café with its kitschy décor and their "uncle" sassing them during their meal. Reservations are a must at this popular eatery especially when your group is a large and hungry party of seven. Everyone ordered either Aunt Liz Golden Fried Chicken ($27) or a Caesar Salad with Chicken ($18). All agreed that the fried chicken was the best. Aunt Liz's platter was a generous serving of 1/2 chicken (more than enough to share). The Caesar came with a choice of either grilled or fried chicken. For dessert - Lemon Meringue Pie ($9), a large 5 inch round individual tart. I tried the tart - OMG it was delicious - flaky crust, dense sweet and tangy smooth filling covered with piped drops of meringue and a swirl of raspberry coulis. The dessert alone makes me want to visit Prime Time Café for its fried chicken. Park Admission: Disney Hollywood Studios admission required Hours: lunch and dinner 10:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. Annual Passholder Dining Discount: 10% discount

Nick. Sir, you win Disney. You really caught our attention as being a standout bag of fun :) It was our favourite meal of the trip and you feeding our daughter her peas was just the funniest damn thing I've seen, really made me laugh! Thanks for the giggles and the excellent service. The atmosphere was great and the food was the homecooked-style food we absolutely needed, really good grub! Would highly recommend.

Our favourite meal of the holiday and the one I was most unsure about. Every trip I have wanted to visit and always decided against booking as my daughter was young and I want sure she would get the “theme” and be offended. Also was always unsure about menu - both turned out to be no problems at all. We visited as a family of 5 - booked 60 days prior. It is popular and fills up quickly so got to book well In advance. We arrived and waited a short time maybe 10mins before being seated. Our server was Uncle Alan he was great. The theming was fun to see and everyone loved the whole family feel and jokes. The food was the best - I had the sample plate and it was great. Everyone had something different and loved their meals. Nephew had a shake and we shared a desert also all great. Really recommend this place!!!

We always enjoy the food at Prime Time Café despite feeling it is over priced. The service is fabulous. This time we got a seating near closing and were one of the last tables to leave. It was Christmas Eve, but we never felt rushed by the cast and were even encouraged to take our time with dessert. It's the level of service I expect from Disney, but it still deserves recognition for going above the rest.

Always a fun time and good food! I had the pot roast. Hubby had the fried chicken. Everything was great. I got a sticker for cleaning my plate! Haha!

A jump back in time, to some good old fashioned values and manners. The food was extremely tasty, the service was perfect, a mix of both terrifying in case I didn’t manage to clear my plate of vegetables and very funny, always however very attentive though. Kim our server was absolutely amazing - thank you for such amazing and magical memories.

Great to have something different to eat while away in Orlando. Not your normal burgers, chicken and pizza places. Waitresses and restaurant all add to the experience. Food was tasty and made a real difference.

This place is great food is delicious beef is tender chicken well seasoned and came out hot. Service was fast and very personable

Expect home cookin' while your treated like family at this restaurant. The food is great, although the meatloaf seemed like a sausage without casing. Everything else was splendid, especially the bacon mashed potatoes. The staff are great characters sure to brighten your day. I strongly recommend eating here if you're looking for a little more than a simple meal.

Tried the sampler dish - fried chicken - good either with crispy skin, pot roast - very nice and tender meat, and meatloaf - which was ok. My other half had the salmon which was nicely cooked. Dessert was chocolate cake and deconstructed apple crumble, both with ice cream and both very nice. Very filling meal. We had the package that included reserved seating at Fantasmic and a meal that included an alcoholic drink, entree and dessert. Overall a good meal with a very friendly server.

Good experience, our server Caleb was great, very dry and sarcastic sense of humour which suited us as Brits as that’s exactly what we are like as a family and we enjoyed putting the world to rights with him. I thought the food was really tasty and plentiful and in all honesty I think Disney really hit the mark on this, it’s not cheap but they know how to satisfy the customer in the quality. The chicken pot pie me and my son was fab and a refreshing change to the standard fried chicken or burger theme park fare and again suited our British taste for comfort food. Definitely recommend this place whilst visiting Hollywood Studios.

Ok, so great theme, great food (chicken pot pie and peanut butter chocolate cake). Why not 5 stars-- a bit of a wait in spite of having a reservation AND why are portions so big? No one at our table ate more than half of what we were served and we're on vacation so we're not taking it back with us . Example was the included dessert was 2 pieces of cake, not 1. Pot pie was enough for 2 people, maybe 3. Chicken dinner was 4 pieces of chicken-half bird. No one needs so much food, especially if it is being thrown out.

We had a dinner at the 50s Prime Time Cafe, and let me tell you, don’t be late or mama Will be mad! We were not late as this wasn’t our first trip here ! The food was spot on- the pot roast was so tender, it was a huge hit! The drinks were good - and everyone was pleased with their meals! Dessert was enough to share for two so be forewarned ! Our waiter Michael and he was phenomenal! We had a family emergency phone call in the middle of dinner and he was so kind and gracious to our family ! His personality and character were spot on and they are lucky to have a great employee who can recognize when to give us the riot act for our elbows on the table versus when to just put the water down and give some privacy, which is an incredible difficult balancing act ! He was exceptional! We truly can’t thank him enough for Our experience at dinner and the kindness and compassion he displayed while still ensuring our son set the table , as “mama is busy cooking” so you have to pull your weight!

LOVED the food, the atmosphere and mostly Aunt Whitney!! She needs a raise and she needs it NOW! She made the experience so much fun and my 7 year old granddaughter absolutely loved her! If you have the opportunity to get a reservation, don't be late and ask for Aunt Whitney!!!

Great place to get a reservation for an air conditioned lunch to take a break. Food and service is always great. Cute themed restaurant. Kids and adult meal portions are good

This is our fifth time at this restaurant and every time the food and service has been amazing. We luckily got a reservation on the app the day we were going to the park. The first table they wanted to give us did not have the tv, so we requested a table with a tv. There was a 15 minute wait, but so worth it. Get a table with the tv. You are not allowed to watch your “walkie talkies”. It is fun to watch the old television shows. We had a great waitress. Food was amazing. Hubby had the chicken entree and daughter and I had the 3 entree sampler. So delicious! You get mama’s fried chicken, meatloaf, and roast beef. So good! Let’s just say all three of us got the “Clean Plate Award”.

Fun from the second you walk in. You are back in the fifties, black and white television shows playing on tv's everywhere. All the servers are fun, acting like they're part of the family but I have to believe Aunt Elaine is the best around. Made us take our elbows off the table, ordered us to take our hats off (not totally successful there). Food was excellent as well.

Have been to this restaurant before and it's consistently good. however - this time was extra funny as our server Stephen completely smashed it and was so entertaining. An experience not to be forgotten and the food is good too. Shakes are awesome. Try the peanut butter and jelly for something different!!
Brilliantly good fun
My husband really wanted to try this place because of the acting waiters/waitresses as he'd heard it was good fun. Our waitress was lovely and funny with our young girls. They took it seriously and laid the table for the waitress ha ha I wish we could have borrowed her for the rest of the holiday! I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was with it being a 'gimicky' restaurant, but it's good whole hearted American food with BIG portions. I had a massive tasty Caesar salad followed by the best cake I've had in my life! I highly recommend the pb and jelly milkshake, it was delicious but I had to take it away to finish! Overall a fun experience with tasty food, I was impressed.
