Eating delicious, extremely authentic Asian tastes, some very spicy and particular things. Hearty portions! Ramen (required not too spicy but mild) spectacular!

My husband and I tried Korean BBQ for the first time here! We were very pleased. We love it! We had short ribs, bi bim bap, and the dumplings. Everything was DELICIOUS!!

Food was great, especially the glass noodles andd korean fried chicken Great location, across wyndham canterbury There was a bit of a wait but service was fast Highly recommended We were there a month ago, but still talk about how good it was.

Stopped here for Korean food near my hotel. It was 5pm. The place was pretty empty, just one other table. I was quickly seated. I order squid dish without extra noodle. It comes with bonchons, side dishes. The food came quick. It was decent Korean food. I asked for a spoon and didn't get it until i had to ask for it again. Never understand when I ask for things in restaurants that they forget. They did get me a spoon and extra bowl of rice, but didn't refill my bonchon. I am not used to having to ask for extra bonchon. They should have asked. It was not super loud which I was glad since I get headache from loud noises. I had such great Korean foods before, especially in Philadelphia where I used to live, I got little disappointed.

We had dinner here while visitng our daughter in SF, since it was a short walk from our hotel on Union Square. Excellent side dishes and good service. The nemu is not huge but covered all the main types of Korean cuisine. Overall a good choice for dinner and we would definitely return.

In this city full of Asian restaurants, this is a gem! Excellent choices, large portions and very reasonably priced, including the beer and cocktails. Highly recommended!

707 Sutter never fails to amaze us. The food is sooooo tasty that I could eat every single day for the rest of my life. Make sure you try their bibimbap! Would definitely recommend it!

Interesting selection on the menu - and we all enjoyed our choices! Recommend eating here. Bim Bam bowl was delicious and beef dumplings light and tasty.

happened into this korean place by accident. food was great. the beef salad was something to write hom about and if we hadn't ordered other stuff we would have ordered place it again. the spicy chicken bbque was excellent. stuff that was listed as spicy didnt seem so to us. it looked like service could be spotty, but ours was pretty good. you dont come here for the ambiance, just to eat good food.

This was a great find near Union Square. My pork and rice was delicious and a great value. The place is clean and modern, and the service was good

Great food and friendly staff. We tried several dishes and they were all really tasty. The spicy dishes have a nice kick. A complimentary assortment of (six) side dishes (ban chan) including kimchi, was served to the table. The portions are generous and suitable for sharing.

Had dinner here on a Sunday night. Place was very quiet. Food and service great. Have been going to Korean Restaurants for 25+ years so was a nice find on our holiday. We ordered the same dishes we normally have and my family and I all said that it tasted the same as Korean Restaurants we visit at home.

We enjoyed the food, simple atmosphere and price. The waiters were attentive and helpful for novices in the Korean Cuisine world. Good job!

Delicious authentic korean food wich I just can recomend to everyone who loves asian kitchen. And verry friendly and helpful staff đđđ

a casual place to taste truly authentic korean cuisine. We were very pleased with all dishes, as they were all well prepared and nicely presented. The service was a bit slow, but overall we were very pleased.

You know the one person who gave this place a one-star review? Well, I had the same dish, except with chicken, and yeah, sure it has 40% rice. However, that makes it much tastier. It was incredibly good.

Weather was below 10 deg C (Jan), so decided to look for hot food and soup. Found this Korean restaurant near JW. Meat Portion was huge (probably for American). Soup was hot. Enjoyed slowly eating the food as restaurant was quiet. Got the restaurant to reheat the Doufu soup after it cool off a while.

This place was my first time for Korean food, so I cannot say how close is to the original. However, in absolute terms, I liked it a lot. I went two days in a row. The dish "Bi bim bap" served in a hot stone pot is very tasty. There is only one working waitress but she is very efficient and kind. Punchline: a very good place to try out here in San Francisco. Location is also good, 15-20 min walking from Powell Station.

We came with family on a weeknight prior to seeing a play in the Downtown area. The SF Playhouse is walking distance from this place. Dinner had to be early so the restaurant wasnât that crowded. Most annoying atmosphere wise was the large screen TV streaming teenage Korean pop, rock groups singing and dancing. As the evening wore on, the restaurant filled some but not to capacity. The food didnât disappoint. I liked the generic gyoza best and garlic fried chicken wings. The soft tofu soup was very spicy but good, small potions tho. Beef bulgogi was ok. Jop Jae was fair. If weâre in the area for a show again and wanted spicy Korean food, we plan to return.

One Star simply due to their seafood bibimbop in the bowl. There was barely any seafood. You get a huge bowl of rice! Absolutely terrible deal at $11. Also, something is very wrong or off with the bibimbop sauce. It tasted like ketchup, very tangy, and unlike any bibimbop I've ever had. I would stay away. Had some of my friend's spicy pork. Equally as unimpressive. Again, something was also wrong or off with the sauce. Pork tasted "stinky." The spicy tofu soup with seafood was pretty good. This is the only redeeming value here! Small dishes, while unlimited, was very basic. Just a few of the cheapest items such as kimchi and fish cake. Nothing exceptional with just a small selection. Ambiance isn't great either. There's a huge projector on the side of the wall playing annoying K-pop the entire time. Very distracting (yet irritating). It's also a very dark dining room. Service was just fine. In summary: Not an expensive place, but still not worth it. Probably the worst tasting bibimbop I've ever had. Bowl full of rice and no seafood is awful and a huge rip-off.

Late night dinner after arriving in SF. Lots of Koreans eating there, so expected the food to be good. We loved it! Ordered the bulgogi, kimchi tofu soup, and chicken kimchi fried rice. Enjoyed every dish. Would definitely come back again

My son and I visited twice while in town. The food was excellent. The ambiance was totally different from day to night. Night was full of K-pop and loud conversations and packed. Lunch the next day was chill and quiet.

Came here for dinner Monday night and the place wasn't busy at all so we got seated right away for a party of 5. The place is so roomy. They have a giant projector of Korean music videos. Kinda loud but it's ok. Ordered the soon doo bu with beef. It was good but not the best I've had. It was $10 so that's a good deal. Friend got the seafood soon doo bu but she said there was barely any seafood in it. Just a few pieces here and there. The chicken Kim chi fried rice was really good. The bathroom was huge and relatively clean so that's good. Overall, it was good. I would come back.

We love this restaurant and return there when we visit San Francisco. Their Korean shot ribs are done perfectly. I have been to places where you cook your own meat over a table grill and I much rather have them do it for me because I always make a mess. Every dish we have ever had has been delicious. Ask for Daniel if you go on Wed. or Thursday or Friday.

San Francisco, July 2021. Post Covid round 1, delta variant is on the rise, and we took our chances to take a trip with a âsoon off to collegeâ 18yr old, and hopefully soak in a SanFrancisco Giants game. But first things first, I gotta eat. Iâm a âpickyâ eater but open to trying anything a few times, and I have high hopes with low expectations. Why quotations around âpickyâ? Iâll eat anything and be ok with it, doesnât mean my palette is satisfied. 5* is my golden rating, 1* is my âwouldnât feed to my worst enemyâ rating. I donât give out many 5* nor 1*, as most foods fall somewhere in the middle for me. Day 1 - we arrived in San Fran at 6:30pm. A short train ride from the airport to a stop close to our hotel, plus a few blocks walking, a trip to unload our stuff in our room, and the dinner hunt was game on. Three and a half blocks south east of our hotel brought us to a little Korean restaurant. 707 Sutter Korean Restaurant, simple decor inside and clean. QR menu only. Dukbokgi (spicy rice cake w/ fish cake). Dukbokgi âttokbakkiâ is a chewy rice cake that is one of those foods that takes me to a place of happiness. We all have one of those foods we remember from our childhood, and dukbokgi is one of mine. Coupled with fish cake âodangâ, another food that takes me to happyland, it has a sweet, sticky and spicy sauce (ggochujjang). 5*, no complaints out of me. other than I was so full I couldnât finish the whole order. Fried chicken wings in spicy sauce is something dreams are made of. Even the slightly picky 18yr old was enthralled, dumping his bowl of rice right into the place of sauce. Wing skin was crispy and light, juicy inside and oh man, that sauce was đ„. Another 5*. Kalbi - Korean beef ribs. This one is hard for people because itâs a ribeye so itâs naturally fatty, huge turn off for many that donât understand this dish. Itâs not over my head, I loved this one. Couldâve used a little more spice (spice, not spicy, this dish isnât a spicy one) but it was still very good. 4* is my vote. 707 beef ramen gets 3*. It was what I call a big âmehâ. Couldâve loved without it and was definitely disappointing after tasting the other 3 dishes. Banchan are Korean side dishes served with most all Korean meals, and range in many varieties. Main one is always kimchi, but also served with our meal were: potato salad, fish cakes, seaweed, spicy cucumbers and bean sprouts. All very tasty. 4* for this restaurant. I would happily go back. Service was quick and kind, no complaints. San Francisco has a SF Mandate on checks. San Francisco has a number of mandates to improve workersâ lives, which make it more expensive to operate a business in the city. When asked which mandates theyâre charging for, many restaurant owners cite health care, paid sick leave and paid parental leave. Expect this on all dining bills, though not always specified clearly. Did a to go order of Bibimbap with beef and mussel soup. Being Korean and having family who have Korean restaurants, I am a little judgmental when it comes to Korean cuisine. Their bibimbap was awesome! Really great gochuchang sauce and the beef and spinach in the bibimbap were yummy! Mussel soup was large and had plenty of mussels. They were super busy when I walked in. All tables full and played Kpop music videos on one of the walls. The only thing about that night was it seemed obvious that they needed more servers. Only had two on the floor and it really was a full house. I felt like the servers were a little overwhelmed and it came across in their demeanor.

This restaurant was just a short walk from the Union Square hotel I stayed at. Every dish I tried (pork bulgogi, cold noodles, etc.) was tasty. Service was good. Price was reasonable. The food was so good we went there again a couple days later.

Me and my family are a huuuge fan of Korean food and this is a perfect place for us. We visited this restaurant two days in a row and all the food were super great with awesome staffs. I highly recommend all of those who loves Korean food.

Best Korean I've ever tasted along with very helpful service. Loved the pan fried beef dumplings, stir fried squid and seafood stew cooked at our table. Also try the sup drinks. What a relief it was to find this affordable restaurant among a sea of ultra expensive restaurants. Thanks for a fun night

Very good Korean food in convenient location for tourists. Food and service were good, though service was a bit slow at first since I'd caught them between shifts. They give the disposable wooden Chinese style chop sticks rather than the more traditional Korean stainless steel ones, which was nice at least for this westerner. It spared me the embarrassment of asking for a fork. The complimentary kim-chi/appetizers were all good, and Kim-Chi Fried Rice with Shrimp was very enjoyable. In the evenings they project K-Pop music videos on the wall and the music can be a bit loud, but not overwhelming, though I left early, so it may get louder latter. Overall I'd say it is worth visiting if you like Korean Food and are in the area. I had a Korean beer, it looked like they had a nice selection of cocktails.

We are here in San Fran celebrating our wedding anniversary and my wife and I enjoyed this Korean Restaurant so much, great background music, wonderful service and outstanding good. Feel good about going here for a great Korean meal.

Clean, fresh food. My first try. Locals love it. I loved it and would order again. We did take out - long day!

After a long day of traveling, this place was one of the few places that were opened late and it was walking distance from our hotel. The staff greeted us as we were signing in and we were seated right away. It was less than a 5 minute wait. They have a QR Code menu. We were very hungry but ordered too much food for us to finish because the portion size is very generous. Itâs great if you come here with a group and share. The staff was very nice and attentive and very helpful. When we needed something, they were very quick to deliver. At the time we went (late night - close to midnight) they had various Kpop music videos playing that were being projected in the wall.

When we cake in music was loud but they turned it down when we asked. After ordering food was on the table within 10 minutes. Quality of all dishes were fine. Pity they serve water in plastic glasses.

My husband and I are visiting SF and we were in the mood for Korean. This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, Andrew's Hotel. Everything was great with this restaurant. We highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely eat there again. E. Koves

This restaurant has terrific tasting Korean food. One of the best Korean restaurants I have been to. Spicy yet not overkill. Walkable restaurant in San Francisco no place to park take BART and walk.

This was a very interesting menu as it was not food I have eaten before. Food was good. Staff was nice. I would eat there again.

Just kidding, but this is a very youthful concept. The atmosphere is fun, hip and high energy. If you or any of your group is not or if your looking for a more traditional Korean restaurant experience you may be disappointed. But if your open minded and willing to try a newer kind of experience we recommend you jump right in. We got there about 9pm a bit later but we wanted to miss any dinner rush and didn't want to a long wait. Our greeting was immediate and we were told they were on a short wait and to please sign into their waiting list. The place was buzzing and there's a gigantic projection screen television featuring Korean Pop video's which are all modern, high energy sometime a bit risqué but definitely fun. This isn't really a dining concept either. It's a people watching, eating, having fun and being amused concept. The patron's are youthful and predominately of Asian decent which we always look for in an Asian concept, duh. We were sat in just a few minutes. The menu is Korean but it's a bit more easy to read and understand than many. There's plenty of pictures to help sort it out if you don't have any background. Our server came right up bringing a liter of water and ice. The service was fast, efficient and done with a smile. (Maybe the smile's were because we could have been Mom/Dad, Grandpa/Ma to almost everyone;-) But we immediately felt welcome. We ordered Gal-bi, Chix-wings Soy Garlic, Skewers of chicken, gizzard, hearts, scallops & rice. 8 banchan (Korean complimentary side dishes) were delivered immediately. The servings were a bit light about half of a normal banchan BUT the flavors were BIG and that was cool. Just don't eat them all ahead of the meal as they really add to the dining experience. The food came quickly. The Gal-bi a bit $$$ @ 24 but was exceptional. The Chix Wings were simply the best I have ever had and I'm a restauranteur by profession and wings our one of our specialties and these blow ours away. They portion was generous. The skewers were tasty. The only MINOR hiccup I thought was the gizzards. To prepare them grilled they have to be pre-softened, trimmed or otherwise prepared. These weren't and they were the only disappointment as we couldn't eat them. I only warn about this because as a gizzard lover I would appreciate the warning. The rest of the food and flavors and service were wonderful. The staff never stops moving. Everyone is taking orders, delivering food, cleaning up, refilling drinks, cashing tables out etc. We never saw anyone standing around, no one was checking their cell phone or even had their back to the customers. Very impressive from my point of view. They're also open very late and I'm sure it gets crazy, crazy after hours. Family consideration: I think a family with teenagers would have a fun experience but seriously most younger kids may be overwhelmed by all that is going on, the noise level and frenetic pace. Babies or toddlers I can't imagine any circumstance where they would be happy which we knows equals no one else is happy either. Just saying....

Clean, quiet, attractive restaurant with excellent service. Everyone raved about bipimbap in hot stone bowls. Samplings of small dishes were ok ... such as a cabbage slaw and tofu. Shrimp on stick was way overcooked. Although one of our group is Asian and prefers very hot spicy dishes, the soup he ordered was too heavily spiced. He had to leave the table to recover. Highly recommend for people who enjoy Korean food.

Popped in with my wife and had some fried oysters as well as grilled chicken skews (really good) for starters and soon dooboo jjigaeh with crab stew. I liked it a lot

Open late at night and sill crowded. The food si very good, fresh and hot. The service is good and attentive.

Pluses: This restaurant serves great food, it is a popular place for people of all ages, and it stays open late! There were 3 of us and we ordered entrees and appetizers to share. The chicken wings are highly recommended! Delicious! Good sized portions and fair prices.

Excellent Korean food in a fun atmosphere. I had the Bi Bim Bap and it was fresh and tasty. There are delightfully hilarious Korean pop/rap music videos projected onto the wall and lots of Korean people watching to be had. The staff were attentive and efficient. The restaurant was clean. It was a little loud but didn't bother me. I will probably come back during my week in San Francisco.

My son brought us to this place and though the other customers were half our age, my husband and myself enjoyed the authentic Korean food. It serves one of the best bibimbap and tteokbokki I have ever tasted. We also enjoyed the fried chicken wings. We tried all three flavours and liked the soy garlic version best. This place stays open till 2 am and we had fried chicken takeout for supper another day. The wings were still hot and crispy when we had it in our hotel room. Yummy, yummy! I only gave it a four-star because service is a bit slow.

From outside it does not look like much and the decor might look unusual for a korean restaurant, but the food was great and authentic. The service was also very good. Prices are very reasonable.

Very small place with friendly staff. I enjoyed a couple of beers watching the Warriors finish off the Pelicans. The next morning we each had omelletes that hit the spot.

Great food in this busy Korean restaurant. It's always a good sign when a Korean restaurant is filled with Young Koreans. Yummy gluten free options. Inexpensive.

Popular place and for good reason - delicious quick fix of authentic Korean. I warmed up with a nice assortment of six different banchen and a Chamisul soju. Then had a pot of spicy soft tofu kimchee soup (and an egg) (with a bowl of rice). K-pop videos projected on one wall the whole time. All good!

No complaints about the way the food tasted or the service or the prices. However, my stomach was upset for DAYS after eating here. No one else in my party had this issue, so maybe it was what I ordered (the spicy BBQ chicken), but because of that, i can't give any more than 3 stars.

We went there on our first night in San Fran as it was close to our hotel. Very nice and like having a home cooked meal, which is nice when you are travelling. Prices are reasonable. Service was good, not spectacular. I would go back

I ate in this place two times with my korean friends, and everytime I was satisfied for the meal. They also have a nice selection of cocktails, usually with soju (korean alcohol).
Craving veges.
The dear one and I were craving veges after a busy week in San Francisco. 707 did that with style. We walked from Union Square and easily found 707, a large and airy restaurant that had people dining even at an early 5.00pm. The service was prompt and friendly and the 3 dishes we enjoyed, fried vegetable dumplings, bipbimbap with pork and chicken fried rice with veges were excellent to eat and to pay for.
