Friday Lunch

By April T |

We were their first guests on a Friday. They still seemed a little disorganized and not quite ready for service. They also didn't have the ingredients for some of the cocktails listed. Food was fairly decent overall but nothing special that would make me return.

Philly Cheesesteak, Red Curry & More—This Vegas Menu is STACKED!

By Dwight |

This spot nails the perfect balance between great food and a welcoming atmosphere! The open kitchen lets you watch the chefs work their magic, while the outdoor patio sets the scene for a laid-back brunch or a fun night out. The Philly cheesesteak is loaded with tender steak and gooey cheese, while the red curry with shrimp packs a bold, aromatic punch. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, the arugula salad with burrata is a fresh, flavorful choice. It’s also a go-to for casual business lunches—the staff is top-notch, and they easily accommodate last-minute table changes.

Perfect place for breakfast, bottomless mimosas!!

By IslandHoppers |

Blanca and Maria were absolutely awesome taking care of our group of 50+! The service, food, and hospitality at 7th and Carson once again exceeded all our expectations. The patio provided the perfect ambiance and comfort—couldn't have asked for a better setting. Thank you for making our gathering so special! Oh, and the bottomless mimosas are amazing!!

First Vegas Visit

By Carla C |

There were 3 of us on this trip. But the 3rd girl’s flight was moved to a day later because of the weather. Two of us decided to venture out of the hotel to restaurants downtown. It was a nice walk from Downtown Grand to this restaurant. It was small and unassuming. The food was outstanding. That it was Zagat rated a few years back was no surprise. We did go back for lunch before we left Vegas. The lunch menu was a little different from the dinner menu. There were still good choices. I was disappointed, though, because we went back so the other family members who joined us would experience and get to taste the ones we had for dinner a couple of nights before.

Very good, great vibe

By mulderborns |

Amazing service, the food was excellent, and we really enjoyed ourselves! We will be back. We enjoyed the chicken and waffles, plus corn croquettes. Awesome cocktails!

Celebration with a large party

By ceaserlk |

Because we had a large group, the waiter took control of the situation and brought us dishes according to the appetite! The food was hot, attractive and delicious. It satisfied the men and ladies in the group with various platters of appetizers, salads, main dishes, and sides!

A gem!

By Bellamama |

We found this place bc the restaurant we got dropped off at was closed due to A/C problem. So glad we found this gem; everyone was happy with their order. Chicken & waffles, meat lovers omelette, beet salad, vegetarian omelette, AND the BEST coffee with real cream we’ve ever had. Success! Great wait staff was the icing on the cake.

Perfect Al Fresco dinin

By Andy C |

The team was there, about 10 of us, dining outdoors in perfect warm evening temperatures. The host and each of the waiters were funny and very attentive, the Mojito expert really was, I know I’ve drunk quite a few across the globe. We had a range of food being delivered and it was top notch, the steak burger, the chick wings, roasted garlic bread, all Fab, the team really enjoyed our time there, reasonable on price too.

wonderful surprise by container park

By tsean90439 |

Stopped in for brunch on Sunday afternoon. No reservations, but we were seated within 15 minutes. The place was quite busy, and for good reason-the food is incredible! Ordered the breakfast flatbread, stuffed french toast and breakfast potatoes. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. The service was spotty-they were busy, to be sure- but the staff on hand was young and appeared to be very inexperienced. Overall, it gets two thumbs up and we will gladly return.

Pricey

By Irena H |

I thought for what we got, it was overpriced especially the wines. They have an eclectic menu leaning to California tastes. Best part is the 99 cent shrimp cocktail made the Golden Gate way. My husband and I both ordered an entree but they were served at different times. I was halfway finished when my husband finally got his. We were told it was because the meals were served as they were prepared. I think they thought we were sharing both plates. Odd.

Recommended by friends, we

By Momma808 |

Recommended by friends, we decided to have midweek ladies brunch. The restaurant wasn't too busy and we were seated quickly. I couldn't decided between the Chicken & Waffles or Fish & Chips and asked Josh (our host) to surprise me. The Chicken & Waffles did not disappoint. It was served with a tangy syrup and the waffles were the mini Belgium's instead of the typical "eggo" kind! Thumbs up!! Our group ordered the Carnivore Omelet, Mushroom Wrap & Short Rib Philly. Everything was delicious and perfect. We will be back soon to try other items on the menu. Oh! We shared everything including the "to die for" pull apart sticky bun...

Look no further

By Rich |

A tiny ways off the main drag. This place is a 10/10 in all aspects. The staff were super friendly and attentive, food was amazing, and the decor was great! We sat inside but would opt to sit on the outside patio next time. Will be back!

Great food, great service and I can't wait to go back

By dcain4uga |

This place is spectacular. I'm still thinking about the stuffed french toast! My son had the pancakes and bacon. OMG, they were delicious too. There was so much food he took mine home and I ate some of his pancakes. The pancakes taste like a bakery cake minus the frosting. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Las Vegas.

Chef Sammy D looks to take 7th & Carson to the next level

By Michael U |

Only familiar with Chef Samuel DeMarco's cuisine from a 2012 visit to First Food & Bar it was a big surprise when 7th & Carson announced DeMarco's semi-permanent pop-up, and on Friday night an all new menu showed signs of good thing happening with more on the way per owner Liam Dwyer. Known as Sammy D to fans and friends, the former Chef behind Strip-favorites since 1998 officially returning to the local culinary scene after several years overseas on September 15th, it is inside the two-year-old Restaurant described as “a nice little drinking spot with really great Food” that guests will find items built to please along with service that is exceptional from entry to exit. Centered around a large wood-burning oven, plus patterned tables telling a story of Mr. Dwyer’s Irish upbringing, it is with full view of both kitchen and bar that diners are enticed by sections titled “Get It Started,” “Bigger Plates,” “F.T.T.” and “Sam-wiches,” each with items well-suited to Omnivores as well as Vegetarians. Said by Liam to be a Chef with the “unique ability to turn any Ingredients into something special,” it was after perusal of several options that the decision was made to dine in three courses, 7th & Carson’s riff on a Bee’s Knees a remnant of the past that pairs well with both Sammy’s grilled Cauliflower brightened by Citrus as well as juicy Turkey Meatballs that taste like Thanksgiving has arrived early in dtlv. Rethinking Chef Gregg’s Oxtail Toast as Poutine, hand-cut Fries holding up well to squeaky Curds and rich Gravy even after adding a runny Egg, course two consisted of two Sam-wiches and two sides, the latter basic but enjoyable while both “Big Dipper” and DeMarco’s “BLTA XXL” come in sharable size with good Ingredients and big flavors. Quiet early but busy by 7:00pm, almost every table graced by “Puff Daddy” Bread that has been a 7th & Carson signature since day one, it was sated but not stuffed that all three Desserts were requested, Panna Cotta shots smooth and creamy but not in the same league as Momo’s Warm Chocolate Brownie with intense Coffee Ice Cream or Brioche Bread Pudding studded with White Chocolate and Hazelnuts beneath pure Maple Syrup and a melting scoop of Vanilla. FOUR STARS: Just as Fremont East has been in an ongoing transition to become the hub of downtown Las Vegas, 7th & Carson is currently best witnessed as an evolution from one Chef to the next while both setting and service remain amongst the best Off-strip.

It’s been a while since we’ve

By yoyomousa |

It’s been a while since we’ve been to 7th and Carson, but this last week we went 3 times. Sit in the back patio, it’s cool and you will not think your in Vegas. The Burger is excellent as well as great crispy fish and chips. Today however was a full Irish breakfast. Best Breakfast by far in the downtown area. It’s a classic massive meal. Even if you were here a year ago, try it again, the menu is just perfect for the area.

Great spot, and outdoor dining

By Scott F |

Lived up to the reviews. Outstanding food, super friendly waitstaff and my wife told the waiter “best cup of coffee she’s ever had”. The patio is the perfect respite from the usual Las Vegas dining spots.

A Great Hipster Hangout!

By PatSnyder |

This restaurant specializes in small portions to be shared, which we have done every time we go here (which is often). It also has a dog-friendly patio so that locals (or tourists for that matter) with pets can enjoy a terrific meal in the open air. One of my personal favorite things to do is to order THE OSCAR where the bartender comes to your table and you tell him what you like to drink and how (i.e. bourbon or gin and tonic) and then he creates an OSCAR just for you! Everything I have ever ordered has been really terrific.

Great downtown lunch place!

By JudgeSue |

My office and I have patronized this restaurant several times and this occasion was for my birthday. It is about a half mile walk from the Regional Justice Center and located…at the northwest corner of 7th Street and Carson Avenue. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. Good Wine and beer are available but given it was lunch time, we did not imbibe. Two of our party ordered the BLTA with fries (they are enormous sandwiches!), others had the rice curry dish and strawberry salad. I had the beet salad—all were proclaimed delicious! Portions were large resulting in three of our party getting boxes for leftovers. The service was very good. We will continue coming back!

Nothing Exciting

By mauiwolf |

We stopped here because it was convenient and we’d never been. It was a holiday so they were offering the brunch menu. My wife doesn’t do eggs or gluten so she was stuck with a Caesar salad. There were very few options for her. Considering there was no protein on it, it was overpriced. I ordered the jambalaya. It wasn’t horribly spicy, which I was okay with, but it was probably the worst jambalaya I’ve ever had. It’s not that it tasted bad. Every other one has just been so much better. It was just rice and some shrimp along with some dried out chicken bits. Supposedly there was sausage in it, but I didn’t see any. I wasn’t overly impressed.

Good flavors, small portions

By Derek J |

Friends and I met for dinner at 7th & Carson. The atmosphere is intimate, with the cooks preparing food just behind the bar. The menu is simple, which means everything is prepared well and with care. The portions are very tiny for the price, however. My girlfriend got their avocado BLT, which substituted prosciutto for bacon. The dish consisted of a huge slice of heavy bread spread with avocado, topped with large slices of yellow and red heirloom tomatoes, and sprinkled with less than a slice of dried prosciutto. Ingredient cost: about 2 bucks; menu cost: about 15. I am a firm believer that restaurateurs should keep a close eye on food costs and should NEVER make a dish that would lose them money, but this was a bit extreme. I had salmon tartare, which was perfectly seasoned with a delicious ponzu and accompanied with some guacamole and some delicious crisps that I think were made from rice flour. The flavors were spot on, but again, the portion was tiny. A friend got the mushroom lettuce wraps, which were very well prepared and flavored. I finished half of hers, then I ate again as soon as I got home (and no, I'm not a gluttonous hog). Service was excellent. I'd definitely eat here again, but I'd have to save up some money first so I can order two items and have a complete dinner!

Great find off Fremont Street, Vegas.

By MissCrabtree |

Nice place to go after a stroll through Old Timey Vegas (Fremont Street). Really enjoyable meal. Friendly staff. Everything from cocktails to dessert was great but don't forget to order the potato gnocchi.

We love this place

By Susan H |

If you're looking for a friendly, locally owned business with fabulous food this is the place! Just a very short walk from Fremont street and feels like a world away. Everything we have eaten there is great.

Wonderful experience

By VMuseum |

We decided to come to 7th and Carson when we could not get in another restaurant. We are so happy we did!!! Food was magnificent. We both had the short ribs...amazing. margarita was fresh and the best I had on the trip. Highlight was the care the owner took to make sure we enjoyed the meal. He made the night special.

Fabulous Hidden Gem

By Karen2121 |

This is a hidden gem! Get off of Fremont St and come over to this cute place with great ambiance, fabulous dishes, and incredible service! We tried the grilled pear arugula salad and margarita pizza and both were delicious! Thanks Benji, we had a great dinner!

BLTA

By SKIMMER12 |

The bacon lettuce tomato and avocado was outrageously sized and delicious. The roast beef on a pretzel bun sandwich was fantastic. Wonderful service. All items were fresh and prepared well. Yum Yum I highly recommend this establishment.

Great place for casual dining with a flare

By JPTeri1 |

We chose 7th & Carson for lunch based on a recommendation from a taxi driver. So glad we did. The food was delicious and the drinks were cold. The menu items had just enough of a twist to make them unique and delicious but not so overdone that they were too "fancy" for us. Wait staff was good too. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and it wasn't too touristy

Local flavor and color with excellent service

By Neal R |

I found the restaurant through a Google search of "restaurants where Las Vegas locals eat". We made a reservation through the website, and glad we did but walk-in service would have been an option. We enjoyed excellent and friendly service (conversational but not too conversational). Our tasty apps were the roasted corn croquettes and arugula/pear salad. Entrees were the roasted chicken and the very filling loco moco. The freshly made margarita was flavorful and I really appreciate having a Cock & Bull virgin Moscow Mule and a Heineken 0.0 served in a glass. We greatly appreciate the freshly prepared meal, charming ambience, friendly wait staff, all in downtown Las Vegas. It was a quick Lyft ride from our hotel on the strip.

Great place for good food

By MKS |

Great little patio! The homemade gnocchi was outstanding, good quantities and good service. We visited here as part of a self-guided foodie tour.

cozy and fun

By K95KSjennifere |

great intimate place for dinner off the beaten path. Felt like we were entering a speakeasy because of difficulty finding it and how different it looks outside! Very happy with food and service. Wish Vegas restaurants had indoor waiting. We sat on 'patio' for at least 15-20 before table was ready. Fun history of building though!

Great place for brunch!

By HappyJana |

Great place for brunch! We went before our Sunday matinee show at the Smith Center. The menu has everything you want in a brunch (and of course, mimosas!)

Irish owned great food and fun

By deborah Gallagher |

We would highly recommend this gorgeous place to anyone we know coming to Vegas .it’s a super atmosphere.we came more than once and compliments to the chefs because the food is cooked from scratch and is fab..bottomless brunch is tooooo good..the staff are great craic and add to the ambiance thank you guys for a great experience

Great spot downtown

By Transmogrifier |

Went here for a few small plates (and they are small) to end a day spent adventuring. We ordered the White Truffle Toast (yummy and gooey), Smoked Pork Belly (tiny but tasty) and the Duckling Pot Pies (order early as it takes 20-25 minutes). We even ordered the S'mores Dip for dessert, although it wasn't as good as it sounds. In totality, the atmosphere was great, you can do some decent people-watching out of the large windows, and our waitress was on top of things. If you are looking for a cool spot to munch on some shareable dishes, this is it.

Good food off The Strip

By BastiJase G |

Nice place located off the Strip in Freemont Street. The staff are friendly and have a lot of knowledge about the food and drink on offer and are happy to give their recommendations. I would highlu suggest the pear salad which was lovely. There was a wait time of about 5 minutes for the two of us, and I would say that the wait service is more on the relaxed side, so let them know if you're pressed for time. The only thing I will say is that they serve food whenever it is ready, so the chances are you'll be eating alone.

Great experience

By Jenegh |

This spot was perfect for my friends and I! We got the bottomless mimosas with dinner. Everyone enjoyed the food, drink, and service. Recommend for big groups

Really Nice to Get Off the Strip

By Holly R |

Yes, it's a bit of schlep to come downtown, but you get to see both Old Vegas as well as a place where people actually live and not just the tourist scene. I was charmed to pass so many "wedding chapels" in the neighborhood. We ate as a small group on the outdoor patio, which was low key and charming. Quiet and pleasant. We split a number of things. The best thing was the Tandoori Carrots. A wonderful treatment for carrots and these were delicious. I also had the Tuna Tartar which wasn't what I was expecting, but it was very good. I did find the rice crackers that came with it were a little awkward in terms of holding the tuna tartar, but it all tasted good. Others raved about the Grilled Peach Buratta and the Mushroom and Cashew Lettuce Wraps. I thought the pizza was nothing special. But there are much more interesting things on the menu to order.

Great venue for small wedding reception

By skerlarry |

Our Daughter was married in Las Vegas and chose this restaurant for her reception dinner. She set this up several months in advance and they were very appreciative of her choosing them and you could tell 22 people arrived a little early for the private dinner with set menu. The owner Liam greeted us at the door and lead us to the patio. Beautiful setting for this event. The had some Mules pre-mixed all ready and his staff immediately took drink orders. Food was served promptly and was absolutely terrific. Deserts were fantastic. Staff here were bought in to what the owner is trying to make happen with this restaurant. I would not hesitate recommending this restaurant for special events

Pub Crawl

By Phillip H |

Well this was our first stop on our Pub Crawl and we weren't impressed by either the drinks or the food. The service was very good though. Lets start with the 2 bloody Mary's we got. My was the green Chile and the other was the standard. Both were served in what looked like a water glass and came with no garnishes at all. They also tasted the same so I'm not sure what the different in them was. The food was ok but $12.00 for 4 chicken wings seems a little high. They were good with a dry rub finish on them but not worth the price. The mushroom lettuce wraps were good. Four cocktails and 2 sodas and 3 small plates $100.00 at lunch time not sure that is a good value.

Smaller and more casual than expected

By Elms4 |

This is a small venue located a few blocks from the Fremont Street experience. Definitely more casual dining atmosphere than what I expected. We were with a large party and the space seemed a little cramped. However, the food and service were good. The bread and hummus appetizer was good. Everyone ordered something different for an entree and there were no complaints.

Hiding in Vegas

By Harry S |

Less than a year old, 7th & Carson is doing everything right. Tapas style plates are ideally shared, and many high-skill dishes were remarkably executed including Octopus, Gnocci, fried wings, pork belly, and white truffle fries. Beet salad was outstanding, tomato caprese full forward. This tiny startup in a sea of big fish is placing it’s best foot forward. Didn’t try the sliders or pizza, but others look awesome. Staff are all working together and 100% invested in this places success. Owner Liam and his team are showing the best of what a hidden gem can exceed to be in a big city like Vegas!

Must go!

By Demetra C |

Food is excellent! Pizzas are so good! Fresh ingredients. Atmosphere is laid back. Service is great. Every staff member wants to be there and checks on you. They are kind too.

If you're looking for good food and service, this is the place. Workers are so kind and food is so delicious.

Lunch over dinner

By back from America |

I was pretty impressed on my 1st visit ... last week ... for lunch! Good food, decent prices, original dishes, nice presentation and very reactive staff. to the point that having 2 sets of guest coming in a row from France and then Honk Kong, I went back there twice for dinner this past Sunday and yesterday night trying to give them another chance... But to my disappointment ... dinner does not work... which is really too bad!!! It is quiet for sure as both times we were the unique table... They were out of 3 dishes from the already pretty limited menu, out of rose wine... Likewise on Sunday, out of the special, out of the Risotto Chief special... :-((( Originally I liked the vibe of the place but so far dinner has been such a disappointment ... Still hope they will step up ... wishing them good luck!

Affordable low-key dining in downtown

By orange-u-tall |

I was very pleased with my decision to dine at this quaint little spot on a quiet downtown corner. Their jambalaya and short rib entrees were tasty and perfectly executed. The weirdest thing about 7th & Carson is that they offer a 99 cent shrimp cocktail with an entree purchase. Although the option is obviously paying homage to the history of the city with its shrimp cocktail for under a dollar, it is a curious choice. But as the reviews were praiseworthy, I had to try it. It was a tasty starter, and kitschy enough to get people like myself talking about it.

GO TO FREMONT AND EAT HERE WHEN IN LAS VEGAS

By David J |

Restaurant of the year for 2018, You can not get a more real neighborhood food experience then here. Reminded me of a place in the West Village NY or Old City Philadelphia. No hype, no fake building materials, no fancy name with overpriced meals, just honest to goodness well done food, fun and local. Best spot in town. if I like it then you need to GO! DJ

Great dining spot in East Fremont district downtown Las Vegas!

By Steven K |

7th and Carson Las Vegas. What a great place for a good sit down brunch! My wife and I had late breakfast. She had corned beef hash, myself chicken and waffles. I don't say this lightly, we both said our meal was G.O.A.T!  The coffee was awesome too. French press coffee in a restaurant unheard of in our experience in Vegas. We highly recommend this place and we will be back! Oh and our server Lauren, she was a peach; just lovely. We had such a good time!! Best food in our week in Las Vegas.  I don't exaggerate with that statement. Granted we just tried 2 meals. But chicken and waffles? OMG these were best ever!! Spicy syrup too. Yum!!!

Nice little place

By Benedict Family |

Very nice little restaurant. We used TripAdvisor to find the place right after we visited the pawnshop (Pawn Star). Wasn’t sure if we had to pay to park since it was early Sunday morning, but paid it anyway. If you had a reservation, your parking was free, but we were a walk-in. We had 3 eggs with a choice of meat. Craig was our server, and he was very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was great, highly recommend this place, reasonably priced and great service. The jam was awesome.

Nice place for a bite

By jgot |

When we visit Downtown Las Vegas, we have always eaten at a fairly expensive casino restaurant. This time, we did a bit more research online and found 7th & Carson a couple of blocks away from the Fremont Experience. We were not very hungry due to walking around in the heat (while not used to it), so chose two dishes to split. The duckling pot pie was a fascinating construction of eight rounds of puff pastry with tender duck and gravy, baked in a cast iron pan. It was unusual and tasty. The Downtown Dubliner Burger, with its whiskey onion bacon jam, caught our eye. It was a tasty burger, served topped with Dubliner cheese. It might have been better with a few fries, but then wouldn't have echoed the rest of the small plate menu. We were full, but wanted something sweet and light. We ordered the salted butterscotch panna cotta with bourbon whipped cream. The top was brulee'd and the whole thing disappeared quickly. The restaurant had both an inside dining room, with a view of the brick oven, and an outside patio (it was too hot for us).

Brunch was a hit

By Glen G |

Stopped in for brunch. Chicken and waffles was amazing. Moist chicken. Golden waffles. Homemade syrup was delicious. Definitely will come back here.

Fantastic Meal

By Tawny A |

This was our last stop on our food tour and was the best food we had all night. The roasted pear salad and braised short rib gnocchi were to die for. Even better, Liam, the owner, was so kind, working hard and has created an exceptional dining experience. You must visit next time you’re downtown!

Amazing food, service and cocktails!!!

By Mick Brennan |

Visited while in Vegas for my Bachelor Party and food, service and cocktails were amazing! IRISH owned and food is very reasonably priced, make sure to try the Duck PotPie, the rustic bread and the gnocchi. Will definitely return next time in Vegas and make sure to try out the driverless bus that stops right outside it :D

Great Place for a Venue Celebration

By Logan S |

I planned a graduation celebration for 35 people, and wow! What an incredible celebration it was! Liam, the owner, organized everything, was SO accommodating to all my requests, and worked with me on an array of different food to serve instead of the 'set' menu. He provided us with the 'garden patio', which was perfect for our party. When we arrived, the tables were laid out beautifully, with fresh flowers at each table. The food was exceptional. Everything came out fast, hot, and freshly made. The wait staff were wonderful and kept all the glasses full of champagne, and when the cake arrived, they kept it in the fridge and then served it after the speeches. In the end, everyone complimented me on my venue choice and the food's deliciousness. Thank you, Liam. I wanted a special day for my son, and you gave me that!

Fantastic Brunch!

By sharrongeg |

Invited a friend to meet me here for lunch. Entire staff could not have been more attentive. Really loved that fact that they kept bringing me tea, as my friend was about 15 minutes late. We shared a salad and I had the chicken and waffles. Food was top notch. Important note: make a reservation!

overrated

By Resort205746 |

waitstaff is very inexperienced, asked what the Irish breakfast was and did not know. She had to go ask someone. Also the portions are smaller than a kids menu. Way over priced for what you get. Should of know why it was so dead at 11:30 am. on a Sunday when the place across the street had people waiting outside.

"Renewal of Vows" wedding reception

By Tom P |

We passed this place on a Sunday afternoon food tour, and returned on Monday after getting re-married with Elvis. This place is fantastic! Start simple - the food was excellent. The short rib practically melted in my mouth. My bride loved the vegetable flatbread. The waffles (and chicken) satisfied my son - who adds "good bread" to this review referring to his appetizer. The staff was very friendly and attentive, with quick service. Love supporting local places like this.

RESERVATIONS DO NOT REFLECT THEIR TIMES OPEN - BEWARE

By Mandy M |

I made a reservation for 4pm on a Sunday which their website claimed they closed at 5pm. When we arrived, they were surprised as they close at 4pm and then they backtracked and claimed they tried to call me several times. My phone had no missed calls. I was really annoyed and it was a very rushed dinner. Come to find out now after I went to leave a review this has happened to quite a few people with them closing when reservations were made. I dont think they close at the same time as their website claims. Sounds like they close when they feel like it. Very unprofessional. We wouldn't go back. The food was good though, couldn't try the drinks, the bar was closed.

Not sure what has happened here?

By A4A |

I booked brunch at this restaurant on the basis of reviews here and also YouTube videos showcasing some of the food and the ethos around the chef & some of the dishes. I didn’t notice anything that reflected any of the content of these reviews during my visit today. Ordered a fruit plate that had cantaloupe, raspberries and a few fridge-burnt strawberries plus a ‘dip’ that was meant to be yogurt and honey. Not sure it was. I’m glad I didn’t order a salad based on the fruit experience. I also had a three eggs ‘any way’ with bacon and potatoes accompanied by toast. I ate the eggs and left the rest. The bacon seemed deep fried and not fresh. The eggs were scrambled in an omelette fashion rather than a scrambled egg way. My husband’s carnivore omelette was okay according to him. I did not see much resemblance to the food pictured in previous photos online compared to what I received today. In terms of ambience there is kitchen stock piled up in the restaurant seating area, there were some weird cleaning buckets hanging around in places and it didn’t seem like a restaurant that had ever won a ‘restaurant of the year’ award’. Staff were perfunctory but not necessarily welcoming and all our food, fruit plate starter and mains arrived simultaneously. Maybe they are having a bad period but maybe when you check it out choose a starter first and then see if it is to your liking before you go ahead and order more. I was left wondering if maybe the restaurant had changed hands since the previous reviews? There are also a great deal of fantastic restaurants to try out. I would recommend anyone to go out of their way to go here. I specifically sought out this one and now I wish I had seen some more honest reviews earlier. The total bill for this meal for two, including coffee for one (but no other drinks) was almost $80.

New restaurant and worth it!!

By Neil S |

We found this place on the Lip Smacking Foodie Tour and was introduced to the owner Liam. Our tasting experience was so good we booked to come back for a proper meal a couple of nights later. Its off the Strip and far more relaxed, love the Strip, adore Fremont st but this oasis was wonderful. The menu is great for a Vegas pit stop although ours took more than 2 hours as the staff and Liam were so engaging and we couldn't stop grazing! We had a very broad range of food with the Burger, pork Belly and Legs and Eggs stand out items, but everything was brilliant. not only was the food obviously fresh but had layered flavours and expert seasoning; the simplicity of the printed menu belies it's true depth. The service under liams expert eye was fantastic, the crowd in the place were friendly and we chatted to a couple of other diners when the accent was twigged, :), all in all I wish we had had time to go back again and wish them all the luck in making this a success.

A must visit off the strip gem!!!

By Mike K |

7th & Carson is an off the strip gem! Get away from the over-priced restaurants of the Vegas strip and pay a visit to the locally owned & operated establishments. 7th & Carson has an outstanding menu of hand-prepared small plates that are great for an individual meal or sharing with a group. Some of the favorites were Tandori Roasted Carrots, Wood Fired Beet Salad, and the Gnocchi. Nice selection of wines and locally crafted beers. Outstanding service, friendly staff and be sure to say hello to Liam (the owner/operator). Great guy!

My Fellow Irish and Scottish come here

By yoyomousa |

Calling out my brethren Scott’s and Irish. This is the place if you want a great breakfast with black pudding bacon sausage etc. Liam the Irish owner is a great guy and the food and drink is fantastic

Disappointing Visit – Maybe Just an Off Day

By Beth |

We visited **7th & Carson** as part of the Finger Licking Foodie Tour in Las Vegas, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the high standards of the previous stops. I can see the restaurant has plenty of positive reviews, which makes me think perhaps we caught them on an off day — but sadly, our experience wasn’t great. When we arrived, we were already quite full from the earlier venues and asked what was on the menu to avoid wasting food. We were told it would be *fish and chips*, and when we politely mentioned we were quite full, the response we received was, *“Well, you do know you’re on a food tour, don’t you?”* It felt abrupt and a little dismissive, which was disappointing given we were just trying to be considerate. Our table was positioned right next to a cluttered counter with power and phone cables hanging down near our feet, and the area around the edges of the room looked untidy with old food and dust visible. It didn’t give the best impression of cleanliness or care. Service was also very slow — after 20 minutes we had to ask for drinks. One of our group was pescatarian and was mistakenly served **chicken goujons**, which showed a lack of understanding of dietary requirements. When we pointed this out, the team apologised and quickly made a vegetable curry, but by that point, none of us were really able to eat much. It’s such a shame, because the first two stops on our tour were excellent, and we had been looking forward to ending on a high note. Based on our experience, **7th & Carson didn’t feel like it was in the same category as the other restaurants**. Hopefully this was just an off day, but unfortunately, it left us disappointed and eager to leave rather than linger.

Services was awful. The waiter was in the bathroom most of the time and we needed to wait for our check. The person that brought us our food had pink eye. I would skip it!

Best Restaurant Ever!!

Simply Amazing!

By John S |

I searched high and low for an intimate and cozy spot for our wedding reception party of 30. Did 7th and Carson ever deliver. Liam and his staff WOWed us from beginning to end. All 30 guests were impressed with the food and the service. Everyone in attendance continues to speak highly of 7th and Carson. I would highly recommend this establishment for a quiet lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Yummy DTLV Local Breakfast!

By MooreVegasFood |

I am a Las Vegas resident who had a Sunday brunch at this place Recently. I am familiar with the other restaurants downtown but this one was a new one for me. From the moment we walked in we were greeted multiple times which was nice. There were only three other people at the bar in the Entire place was empty. We decided to sit at the bar. We started off with a couple of cocktails that were super yummy And we order the perfect burger which was very juicy and tasty as well as the chicken and waffles which has some of the best dipping sauce around! The syrup is like brown sugar, syrup and hot sauce all mixed into one. I was very surprised that I really enjoyed it. We also ended our meal with a banofee pie Which was very good with bananas whipped cream caramel and a tart underneath. This place has an ample amount of TVs available just in case the game is on and it is very clean and welcoming. I definitely plan on visiting this place again very soon. This place is a must for brunch lovers!

Great restaurant off the strip in old downtown Vegas

By mbsteal2002 |

Great dinner off the strip. We were looking for something a bit more quiet with great food and this definitely checked all of the boxes. Greta good and great service and loved Ian the owner who added that special touch! Will definitely be back when we are in Vegas!

Brunch at 7th and Carson

By Troy T |

Went to 7th and Carson for brunch as I have always heard good things. Love trying new places. They menu was great and had something for everyone. Food and service were EXCELLENT. Our server Josue was super friendly, attentive, and had a great knowledge of the menu. Cant wait to go back.

A local's visit... A great place.

By RandyHees |

We live in Henderson, and have dined here 5 or 6 times since June. They have managed to handle the ongoing issues due to Covid and local unrest really well... and they have great food. They have lots of outdoor dining... they have spaced the tables inside. Staff are careful and attentive... and the owner, Ian is about, owning his place. Ian is Irish, and it shows in his food, but doesn't dominate. It is great for either brunch, lunch or dinner... I had "done" the Irish Breakfast, today my wife had he fish and chips. They have a full bar, but also do beer and wine based cocktails. It is one of a cluster of good restaurants near Fremont street, which don't feel like Fremont Street, including Carson Kitchen, and Atomic Kitchen or even the places at Ferguson's. The .99 shrimp cocktail seems to have been dropped from the menu... a minor loss. Again, the food is good... the staff attentive, the owner always about as a good Irish publican should be... We will return again...

Perfect place for a small-medium sized group!

By Dan G |

Our group of 60+ had our annual dinner at 7th & Carson last week. The entire night was wonderful. Amazing food (wow try their quinoa salad), great atmosphere, and an entire staff who not only enjoyed what they were doing, but had fun helping and feeding us. Kudos to the entire team, and thank you for making our annual dinner spectacular. We had family style appetizers and 5 main options, which were (told by my friends) all delicious. I highly recommend Liam and his team for dinner, parties, you name it!

Off the Fremont

By Harry S |

A very good restaurant outside of the mayhem on Fremont Street. Great creative and unique Bar-food menu. May be a little overrated by many, but still a good smaller more personalized restaurant and Las Vegas needs more spots like this.

Thursday evening dinner.

Food and staff were awesome. Between the the three of us we had the tuna tartare the sliders and the flat iron steak. Fabulous.

Brunch

By Terry M |

I thought this was a nice little cozy restaurant. We were seated pretty quick, and we did have reservations. Our waitress kept mixing up our orders, and forgetting what drinks we asked for. The food was pretty good. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, but it could have had some seasoning on it. I guess I really didn't need any salt though. : ). Parking was close by the restaurant. I will definitely be back. Maybe for dinner next time.

Great Jambalaya

By See_Chris_jetset |

We went for brunch this weekend. They have a great patio. Our server Shayla was great and I’m so glad she suggested the jambalaya. So good! We plan to come back and try dinner.

A Reason To Go Downtown Vegas

By William R |

The restaurant's name is also its location, insuring you will have little difficulty finding it and marking it a place you should visit. My wife and I went there for lunch today, and we are so glad we did. The facility has been decorated in a super nice way. You have seating at a table with normal height chairs or seating at an attractive bar with higher chairs. There is also patio seating for the outdoor lovers. The food was absolutely outstanding. My wife had an open-face prime rib sandwich with au jus. Normally she will ask for a doggie bag, but she left nothing on the plate and it was a more than ample serving (poor Mandy does without). I ordered a burger - what a burger! It was a beautiful piece of meat (about 1/2 pound) with bacon and the restaurant's own onion jam. French fries accompanied the burger and they were without any doubt the best fries I have ever eaten, because of the way in which they were seasoned. We each had a very nice glass of Shiraz to accompany the meal. We split a wonderful Creme Brulee like dessert with a glaze that contained a little sea salt. The prices were reasonable; my wife's entree was $13 and mine was $17. The glass of wine was $13. We can't wait to return to sample the more expansive dinner menu.

50th Birthday Celebration--Great Dinner--From TX

By J Holmes |

We were in town to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. I wanted something special and intimate. After my google search and speaking to other fine dining eateries on the LV strip, 7th and Carson, won my business. The owner, Liam, is so accommodating, flexible, and works with your budget. My request was for an outdoor dining experience, in light of Covid. The outdoor patio was intimate and just what I wanted for this special birthday celebration of very close friends and family. The food is simply delicious from the appetizers and cocktails to the mouthwatering entrees and flavorful dessert. You simply don't want to miss eating at this local, downtown favorite! We will return. We had a most memorable night at 7th and Carson! J.Holmes--from Dallas TX area

Hidden Gem

By Eric R |

Really good weekend brunch experience here. Small place downtown near Freemont Street, which looks rough at first glance but ended up being fine. The dining room was busy with a mix of artsy types, so right away we knew they would have vegetarian options and good coffee. The small staff is friendly with everyone offering a welcome as we walked through the restaurant. We sat on the patio which was reminiscent of alfresco dining in your fancy neighbor’s lush backyard in summertime. The menu is somewhere between comfort and fancy food with good sized portions, coffee is fresh pressed and delivered in a coffee press…a coffee press!!... and they offer bottomless Bloody Mary or Mimosa options. Big focus on dining experience here with good customer service and an elevated menu. Clientele was a combination of weekend Harley Davidson riders and Bianca Del Rio, so overall I’d say it had a Portland-Chic vibe. In a nutshell… PROS: Great customer service Good menu Coffee served in a coffee press…fancy CONS: Location feels a bit sketchy when you arrive but turned out to be fine

Amuse Bouche Me!

By LasVegasStyles |

The Downtown of Old Las Vegas Has been growing as a "Foodie" destination and this amazing venue has been under the radar, too long! For the past year, Carson & 7th has been helmed by Chef Greg Fortunato! His talents have culminated in a menu enriched in flavor and a clever flair for presentation on an haute corner, across from the lively Container Park! The wine list costars alongside a fresh mixology line up to round out a meal that will delight Vegans, Carnivores, dietary restrictions of all kinds! The decor is no second billed performance, filled with light, people watching and TV's for those who have to catch the game or fight, asterisk here, great fight parties here. The back patio is cozy and a street side location just opened for a casual ambience during the cooler months. I include my review sans pictures, because you MUST Go! Lunch, dinner whatever, get to Carson & 7th as fast as your appetite can motivate you, it will one of many happy returns.

Comps from the "D"

By Henry Z |

This is one of several restaurants located downtown within walking distance of the D Casino and Hotel. If you have a players card from the "D", You can use the comps from that card in purchasing a meal at 7th and Carson. It is a four block walk from the "D". We ordered the Margarita Pizza and Heirloom tomato caprese salad. We enjoyed both dishes and our waitress was very attentive to our needs. The decor of the restaurant was rustic. The owner (a transplant from Ireland) came and talked to us about his plans for the restaurant. He seemed really sincere and wanted us to have a pleasant experience. The menu was limited but the choices were varied and reasonable in price.

Another side of Vegas not to be missed!

By barlando2 |

Scrumptious food and attentive service in a sweet little place a few blocks off the downtown strip. It’s worth the trip for the tasty corn fritters, unique drinks and amazing entrees.

Nothing special but great service

By CC71OK |

Had seen a lot of good videos/reviews so decided to check it out for lunch/breakfast. Cute place. Very small. Right across from Container Park. Belgian waffle with fruit was small. Not much fruit and it was 4 small waffles. Tasted good tho. But I expected a lot more. Service was great! Temp inside was a little warm. Maybe my expectations were too high, but it felt very average. Maybe different for a dinner vibe.

Small plates with a twist

By Leslie H |

Saw a review for 7th & Carson, so we went with high expectations, and they met every one. They serve a number of small plates that combine tapas with modern American. It was a fun place with a number of interesting cocktails. The service was top notch. An evening well spent.

Foodie Tour!

By 408Steve |

We were in town for a corporate meeting and attended a "Foodie Tour" of downtown LV. The food was presented as small plates to share and was all great. The dessert with the Irish whipped cream with a chocolate mouse at the bottom was out of this world. The whipped cream came in a bowl to be used for dipping a fired doughnut that really tasted like a churro. It was delicious. Drinks were good and we had one of their specialty cocktails served in a "gold" chalice harkening back to the owners Irish roots. Next time in Las Vegas with my wife we will definitely skip the casino food and head downtown.

POST WEDDING MEAL & DRINKS - MADE THE DAY!

By Harry J |

Myself and my now wife came across 7th & Carson online when searching for a place to host our post wedding meal. We liked the look of the set menu and the location, with the prices also being very reasonable. The owner, Liam, could not have been more helpful from the outset. We ended up having to reschedule our booking just days before due to travel chaos but Liam managed to sort everything out for us again. Fast forward to the actual booking and it was brilliant. We had the outside patio area to ourselves which was shaded and had music of our choice playing in the background. It was a hot day and the staff even sourced fans for us to keep us cool. The food was delicious and there was a constant stream of amazing cocktails and drinks being provided which made the 2 hour open bar great value. The staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive and even helped out when one of our party was feeling ill due to the heat. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, I would thoroughly recommend 7th & Carson to anyone visiting Las Vegas, especially if they are looking to do a similar booking to us. Thanks again to Liam and the team for making our special day the best it could be.

WAnted to be wowed

By Netanders |

If you are driving there, make a reservation- they will validate your parking if you made a reservation, not just happened by. This restaurant is located close to the Container Park. The menu is limited - and we were excited about the possibilities. We got a couple appetizers, one main to share and a side. I really wanted to be wowed, but it fell a tad short of excellent. The shrimp ceviche with blue chips was actually my favorite. We got the braised beef and cheese curds on sourdough bread which I though felt dry. The chicken and waffles was good, but the chicken was slightly over cooked. The side of root vegetables was okay, nothing special done to them. The service was excellent. I’m glad we experienced it, but not sure we’d come back. More of a 3.5 stars.

Great dood

Burgers, salad, sandwiches, poutine - who could ask for more? The burgers were recommended by staff and the people who hate them were completely satisfied. The peach and arugula salad was amazing.

Hidden Gem!

By Cheryl S |

A quaint restaurant with outdoor seating steps away from the Fremont Experience. The decor reminds me of a restaurant you might see in New York City. One of the members of my dining party had just performed in the touring production of Wicked at the Smith Center and had not seen this section of Vegas. 7th & Carson was listed as a sponsor in the Playbill and we wanted to support the Arts. A very eclectic menu, everyone had something delicious with a beautiful plate presentation. Turkey meatballs, chicken parmigiana salad and pizza are my recommendations. A nice change from the neon and bright lights

Whats up doc ? The heirloom carrots thats what !

By Robyn A |

I can't say enough good things about this place. From the atmosphere to the craft cocktails to the delicious food ! My friends & I visited for a 4 course w/ tequila pairing special that they were having. It did not disappoint. EVERYTHING was SCRUMPTIOUS! My biggest surprise we're the heirloom carrots. I've never been a fan of cooked carrots until now. Can't wait to return for some more deliciousness !

So glad we found this place

By dianegs2016 |

So glad we found this place. Top quality food - delicious - and a great atmosphere that is a refreshing change from the typical Las Vegas eateries. Great service. Great experience. Cinnamon roll pull-a-parts ! Yum!

Best ever!

Girlfriend trip- No chain restraints for us!

By Lori W |

Girlfriend trip- I always look for hidden gems when traveling and this funky place did not disappoint. The service was amazing and the food was “out of this world”. One of my friends said that the “mashed potatoes where the best she had ever had”. The menu isn’t extensive but the food was AMAZING! So get off the strip and head to 7th & Carson. Though you might need to call ahead.

Try Everything.

By William C |

Visited 7th and Carson with friends a few weeks back. Food was incredible as were the cocktails. Staff recommended some of their favorite dishes and they did not disappoint. The chocolate smore dessert is next level. A must visit when downtown.

Great Spot!

By lesforehand |

Stopped in for a bite and a beer. Great downtown spot! Really flavorful; can’t wait to sit on the patio during the fall.

Great find in Downtown

By Alex N |

This place is wonderful! Three of us came here for dinner and everything was great. The drinks, the app (wood-fired bread with dips) and the entrees (Fish and Chips, Veggie Curry) We loved everything and the service was wonderful (even though we inadvertently went in right before they were closing. ) Definitely recommend.

Local. This place should do better than it does

By yoyomousa |

I am a local who has been coming here since it opened. It truly surprises me that it’s not a busy as Carson’s Kitchen around the corner. The food is as great, the service is friendly and fast. They have a great patio, which our dogs love. Yes they allow dogs on the patio. The bar has a great selection. The food is modern shareable plates. Please people give this place a try

Worth the short drive from the Strip

By blakekhottle |

I'm really cautious about giving 5 Start reviews, but this place is special. Our business group made the trip from Caesars to this downtown eatery twice, because it was worth the 15 minute drive, and a great relief from the madness of the strip, and the ridiculous prices. Specializing in small portions to be shared, they do have a few big plates (I had the salmon), craft beer, great cocktails. The atmosphere is casual yet refined. Very fresh ingredients, clever dishes. Definitely punching above their weight at this place. The service both times excellent. There is a very nice buzz about the joint, people are working together, and seem to be having fun. The clients seem to be a mix of locals and tourists. There are plenty of fun places to explore nearby in the newly renovated area.

A perfect dinner in Las Vegas!

By Nature Lover |

This restaurant is a hidden jewel in Las Vegas. All 4 of our meals were perfectly cooked, and the Banofee pie was a delight! I had the teriyaki salmon with grilled veggies ( homemade teriyaki sauce) , hubby had fish and chips with an 805 golden ale (for a British flair), son had the Cajun jambalaya pasta spiced perfectly, and my dad had braised short rib with mash and carrots, which was very soft and comforting. My son thought his cucumber smash was excellent and refreshing. My dad and I each had the an I Am Smashed cocktail, and they were fruity and summery. The staff was kind and our waiter was funny. The owner (I believe) checked on us during dessert. Give them a try…you will be so glad you did!

Very Good

By Shane W |

We found this place by mistake, after we weren't impressed with any of the options in container park. The food was great, the server was very nice and the prices reasonable. I make several trips to Vegas each year and am certain to stop here again when I return.

A different world

By Barbara M |

Had dinner last night prior to heading to the debauchery of Freemont Experience, which is close by. My husband and I were in disagreement whether this was a local place or one frequented by tourists looking for something with a better vibe. Nonetheless the food was delicious. The menu is varied and the concept is more about sharing plates. We had the best salad which was good but really only had about 6 small beets on it. The goat cheese was excellent however. We also had the gnocchi which was delicious, it had mushrooms in it which was lovely but we didn't see them listed on the menu. Service was good and the ambiance was warm. The only negative for me came with the bill. My husband had a beer with dinner and I had wine. When he ordered a 2nd beer they didn't have any more, and nothing really comparable. He too switched to wine, the same as what I had, instead of offering us the bottle price, the continued to charge by the glass. It would have been a small gesture and one I have seen good restaurants do on several occasions. All in all a very good meal at a descent price.
