Yesler 84 never fails to deliver - we live on the East Coast, and we dine here annually when we visit the Emerald City. I'm a creature of habit - I always order the papardelle with fresh herbs and dungeness crab: two almost translucent ribbons of fresh pasta enclose the herbs and the lemon infused sauce is utter nirvana. We weren't that hungry, so we shared two other small plates, the grilled romaine salad with bacon, preserved egg yolks, & Parmesan, and the grilled octopus with white asparagus. Dessert was a deconstructed Pavlova with a citrus yogurt cream. Service is impeccable, and the owner who always says goodbye at the door is totally adorable. I cannot say enough nice things about this wonderful restaurant! Definitely make a reservation and be prepared for the experience of a lifetime.

A fabulous dining experience was enjoyed as we dined on beef carpacchio, parmigiano churros and tuna tartar. Our mains were equally as impressive. Only the freshest ingredients were presented with an exquisite flair, the pasta and scallops were to die for. Don't forget dessert, the apple cake is heaven. 84 Yessler has become our new favorite restaurant in Pioneer Square!

84 Yesler blew my freaking mind! My good friends have been raving about this restaurant they've been frequenting since moving to downtown Seattle earlier this year. I couldn't resist trying it for myself any longer! I sat in with a few friends for a nice dinner before heading to a Mariners game one evening a few weeks ago. We were all wonderfully greeted as we entered the restaurant. I was surprised to learn that the person who greeted us was the owner of the joint. I knew right away this dine-in experience was bound to be remarkable. After being seated in the dining room, which is much smaller than other fine-dining restaurants in the area, I could tell that 84 Yesler focuses more on the dining experience than guest volume. It didn't take long to confirm that. The waiter was kind, informational, and fun. Pleasant to talk to and solid out of the gate with great recommendations. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few appetizers to start with, all of which were excellent. I ordered the filet, mid-rare (yes, I'm from the Midwest), and loved every single bite of it. The presentation of the food was incredible, especially the dessert, which was the highlight for me. The head chef had come over to exchange a few words as well, which was a lovely touch. I have to say that 84 Yesler is one of my new favorite restaurants in downtown Seattle. If you're looking for a fun, classy, and intimate fine-dining experience, 84 Yesler is the spot. Do note, 84 Yesler takes restaurant reservations, and often you can find yourself on at least a week or two waitlist. This tip is something to remember if you're visiting from out of town!

Talented chef created an exceptional tasting menu. Whole team - manager, sommelier, wait staff - makes you feel at home. This place should be on everyone's list of the very best Seattle restaurants.

Tucked into the heart of the city, 84 Yesler Way delivers an experience that feels both elevated and intimate—with an open-concept kitchen that blurs the line between artistry and appetite. Watching the chefs work is half the magic: every movement purposeful, every plate a masterpiece in the making. The parmesan churros kicked off the evening with an unexpected twist—crispy, savory, and wildly addictive. The sea bass followed, perfectly seared with a delicate flake and paired with flavors that danced between brightness and umami. But the star of the show? The Phoenix cocktail—a citrus-kissed creation with just the right balance of fire and finesse. Refreshing, elegant, and worthy of a second round. From bold flavor pairings to impeccable presentation, 84 Yesler doesn’t just serve food—it curates an experience. A must for those who appreciate culinary creativity with a front-row seat.

This is definitely one of the top restaurants in Seattle. The pasta's were excellent as were the parmesan churros and focaccia. Fairly prices winelist and great warm attentive service. In the old town, but worth a visit.

The ambiance is the very open space gives off professional and caring. My last minute reservation seated me front and center but I never felt rushed my first course as butter lettuce with lovely large chunks of bacon and pickle mustard seed that gave a delightful zing, my second course was a delicious lobster cappelletti with lobster broth - excellent and not overwhelming with regard to the pasta. The delicious dessert was a small piece of olive oil cake with honey berry mascarpone and sea buckthorn sorbet. I had to try it as the flavors were unique and it was the best Definitely a place to revisit

Oh, lordy, lordy, how have I been coming out to Seattle for the last 15 years and not known about this place? It was an utterly sublime gustatory experience. My husband and daughter and I shared the ceviche appetizer with coconut cream and chive oil - dear lord, it was delicate and savory and I could have made a meal of it by itself. My daughter and I both had the papardelle with lemon butter sauce and Dungeness crab - we both simply devoured it. My husband will tell you how much I despise tarragon, but this sauce was light and creamy and the tarragon was perfect. The homemade pasta enclosed herbs between each strand and was beautifully al dente. My husband had the salmon and cleaned his plate as well. Service was top notch - attentive and well-paced. Cocktails were divine. I most certainly will return!

The six course meal on New Years Eve was amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant and the wonderful courses. From lobster gnocchi to beef short ribs. The chef and staff did a wonderful job.

My wife and I just happened to be in downtown Seattle on Valentine’s Day. At the last minute we decided to try 84 Yesler. We were greeted as we entered by ‘very personable’ Sam the owner and despite being busy they were able to seat us. The food was fabulous and the service was superb. A perfect ending to our Valentines Day! We’ll go back again.

I reserve 5/5 reviews for only the very best. I've traveled the world and have eaten at some of the top restaurants in the world and still question a 5/5 review. It's rare that I would give a restaurant 5/5 unless it is absolutely perfect. But our recent experience at 84 Yesler was about as close to a perfect dining experience as I have had in Seattle. Everything from the welcome we had as we entered, the food, the table service, was top notch. The food was the real star. We had some amazing dishes, that I'm still thinking about now as I write this review. The Herb Parpardelle with Dungeness Crab was transcendent and decadent. The house made foccia bread was rich and tasty and the beef tartar was innovative and delicious. The menu was arranged where you could do a tasting menu or a la carte. With lots of small plate options, we decided to share 4 or five of the small plates and then two pasta dishes (One was a bit of a miss, but didn't ruin the experience by any means). The wine list was great too. Not only were there excellent options, but there were some affordable options that were fantastic. The service was classy and formal, but warm and approachable. I think 84 Yesler has made this impressive balance of being fine dining with being warm and approachable. The open kitchen gives you great views of your food being prepared and the large windows outside give you great views of the life in Pioneer Square. We're looking forward to our next trip to this amazing new restaurant.

Ordered the smoked octopus, pasta with lobster and apple pie. It was amazing. 100% recommended. Great service, awesome place.

Just as amazing as our first visit! Ranks with any restaurant in Paris - without the condescension. Superior food, outstanding service!

Their customer service and ambiance are just perfect! Not too formal, not too casual. You may come in any ocasion. And food is incredible!! I like the way of eating with the eyes first. Each plate is so artistic and of course the taste goes much higher than you'd expect. We enjoyed their hospitality so much, including the price. I'm sure I'll come back again soon. Glad to know such an amazing restaurant!

This restaurant was recommended to us and it exceeded expectations. Very well spaced tables and a nice atmosphere. It was not too busy late on week night so minimal noise level. The menu changes frequently. The food is really high quality and well prepared. Very interesting taste profiles. Every dish was a hit. Compact but excellent wine list with very reasonable prices. Service levels are very high. Great overall experience.

In Seattle to be tourists and celebrate an anniversary and we did not go wrong selecting 84 Yesler. The menu is creative and every dish we had was perfect. We enjoyed the view of the open kitchen and just how much there was teamwork among all the Staff to deliver a very special meal. Appreciated assistance with wine selection and an offer to select based on tasting a small pour. Desserts were awesome.

I visited on a Saturday evening alone and was seated in the quiet dining area slightly to the side of the main dining area. I think I’d have been happier nearer the open kitchen area. As is usual for me I had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was OK, not stand out if I’m honest, apart from the short rib dish which was disappointing- the truffle ‘jus’ had been sitting too long and had split and begun to congeal. It also needed some carbohydrate on the plate. But two things really stood out as disappointing. The service was lacking in personality and engagement. Linked was the apparent lack of understanding of the wines in the pairing menu. I’m in the wine and food business and expect to be told what the wines are, where they are from and why they have been chosen for that course: “This is going to be a sauv blanc. It will go well with the pasta, gnocchi course.”; “Next up we’re going to do a little Barolo from Enzo Bartoli.“; didn’t really work for me. I did ask where the German Riesling came from and was told, after looking at the bottle, the ‘Moss Hell?’ My other complaint was that half way through my meal the Head Chef, Christina Seigl who featured prominently on the web site came away from the kitchen and stood by the bar for the rest of service. So half of my dishes weren’t overseen at the pass by her. I find it rather strange that the chef wasn’t taking a close interest in the food. If I’m paying serious money for a meal for one person, which I was (€380/£300 all in), I expect better. On the plus side, the smoky dashi broth with the salmon was lovely and I did have a lovely chat about Seattle with one of the waiting team as I left, where I did say about the jus, commenting that on a Saturday evening I was the last to leave at before 10:00pm. I’m usually pleased with my restaurant choices so I accept the odd disappointment but I wonder whether I’d have been better with their signature pasta dishes.

We had a fabulous evening in this intimate restaurant. The dining area is open to their gleaming kitchen, so you can watch the team of chefs at work, preparing delicacies for you. All the staff were friendly and efficient, pacing the meal well so that we felt neither rushed nor impatient for the next course. A really eclectic fusion menu with some unusual dishes. Try the foie gras with cotton candy and berries. Wow! A good wine list on offer too, with some great wine and sake by the glass. Worth a visit.

I started coming here during Covid for take out and have been a fan ever since. Prices range from $20 pp to $100pp. Pasta is amazing. Tasting menu is spectacular. Ok e the blue fin tuna. My husband is addicted to almond cake dessert. Ambience is great. Service across the board is fantastic. Walk to ferry, lightrail, Pioneer Square. I work in Pioneer Square. Comfortable place to dine alone or with others. Modest entrance and little signage make it easy to miss - well worth the stop.

Ambiance: The restaurant is modern with an open kitchen and very inviting, so is the bar area. Overall a nice place with tables spaced out to dine and enjoy an evening. It was also not loud like so many other restaurants, so carrying a conversation was great. Yes, this place is great for business meetings, too. Food: Everything I tried was excellent. The grilled octopus was perfectly charred and the sauce with ikura and asparagus complemented the protein well. The scallops in the main dish were perfectly cooked. And even though I do not like hazelnuts that much, I really enjoyed the dish. Small quibble: scallops were not quite as hot as I had hoped. The apple case for dessert was good, but I had higher expectations after I saw the citrus pavlova that was just stunning and delicious. Service: Wow! I think, so far, best service I have had in the PNW. Servers were there when you needed them and otherwise invisible. Clearing the tables (and cleaning up spots) was done at the right time. Placement of cutlery was just where it should be. A new standard (move over Canlis, time to retire)! Prices were reasonable (wine prices a little on the high side, tho). Overall an excellent discovery. Thanks for the nice evening, I will be back!

Been coming here regularly while on vacation from Virginia and it's always delicious! I am such a creature of habit - I always order the pasta with crab and tarragon in a light lemon sauce. Tangy and so much flavor! My husband had the short rib over mushrooms, and our son had the halibut. Service is always unsurpassed. Reservations are definitely in order for this incredibly wonderful restaurant.

We selected 84 Yesler for their multi-course tasting menu paired with fine wines. And the fact that they had an open kitchen - which we always appreciate watching. 84 Yesler is a fine dining restaurant with attention to high-end, French-influenced cuisine and personal table-side service. There was opportunity to interact some of the chefs and the executive chef even made a stop at our table to visit. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and shared great information about each dish and accompanying wine. A very satisfying dining event we'll remember for a long time. NOTE: The only slight disappointment was the allowance of very casual dress (sleeveless T-shirts and trucker caps) in the establishment. Yes, "casual" is the default these days and Seattle is infamous for "do your own thing," but for the high-end dining setting 84 Yesler proports to be, I expected a little higher standard.
Excellent Restaurant
Excellent Steak Tatare and local wine. Very good service. Very lucky chance visit late in the evening. Hazelnut chocolate finished the evening nicely.
