This place has amazing food. The staff are awesome. Very friendly! I will come back very soon!! i would recommend everyone to try it. I guarantee you will come back and you wont regret it.

A mano offers free parking along with great food and service. The Cacio e Pepe was spectacular. The bread pudding dessert wonderful. The chef and owner both stopped by our table.

A Mano is making a big splash since it's opening a month ago. It is a small ( approximately 30 tables plus bar) cozy neighborhood place. It was slammed on a Wednesday night. The charred Octopus was one of the best I have ever had. It was served with a citrus salad which was also delicious. We ordered the Bolognese, a pork and beef Ragu, which was flavorful with a light touch of spice and fabulous. Our other entry was Cacio e Pepe Spaghetti. Spicy from the black pepper with a good sauce and also delicious. Pastas were house made. George, the owner, made the rounds several times to ask guests how they were enjoying their meals. I am betting they will be around awhile. Make reservations. Go to this restaurant. We want to keep them here!!

The burrata with sour dough bread was just the best and the flavors of the cheese with the tomato and olive oil and bread was spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed my fusilli dish and the wine, a grenache rose, was delicious and complimented my meal perfectly. Of course our server was also outstanding and she took care of us and was so patient and really cared about our decisions. I loved LOVED A Mano. I live out of town, but will return on my next visit. Awesome!

Enjoyed a birthday dinner for my cousin with family at a mano. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and had excellent wait staff. The charcuterie special was delicious. Our table had a variety of dishes: the eggplant parmesan, cacio e pepe, bolognese, carbonara, primavera and steak and frites, along with a bottle of wine and variety of cocktails. The pound cake and vanilla gelato for complimentary dessert were delicious. The staff even wrote a 'happy birthday' note to my cousin - nice touch! Parking is a bit of a challenge, but is available nearby. a mano is a neat neighborhood find - give it a try!

This place is wonderful. It is new school Italian with some old school Italian touches. You will love the Charred Octopus with a citrus salad. The Fusilli with diver scallops and Swiss Chard is to for for. Truly a wonderful place in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward.

We made a reservation for a Saturday; I would recommend making reservations more than a week in advance. If you approach on Glen Iris from North Ave., the restaurant is across Ralph McGill on the right side. Their building appears to be a converted house, where the side and back yards were just paved over with asphalt. Hence, parking is pretty limited in the lot. It looks like there is street parking in the area. A Mano appeared to have 3 areas for dining: the interior space, a deck, and a sort of white tent thing in the parking lot. They do a temperature check before you get seated. I thought the menu was a bit limited. Everyone in our party found something they liked, but there is not a huge variety. Similarly, the wine list is also a bit limited. But again, I was able to find something I liked. Everyone in our party got pasta. The dishes were good, but no one had that 'we need to come back here soon' vibe either. It is worth a try, as I think it is somewhat new.

We went here spur of the moment as the place we had a reservation had a kitchen fire and we had to find somewhere quick on a Friday night. This worked great. Patio in a tent and even on a cold night heaters kept it comfortable. Very good service, good food, great cocktails and an interesting and reasonable wine list. Gluten-free pastas.

Very hip vibe to this Old Fourth Ward newcomer. Open since July, A Mano serves exquisite, foodie-level Italian with a great bar, very friendly attentive service and more-than-fair prices. Ten parking spaces but you can safely park on street. Easy Uber from downtown or midtown. Close to Inman Park, Ponce City Market, and beltline action.

Cool place for a formal/semi-formal dinner. Italian style menu. I ordered steak with side of cauliflowers; my colleagues ordered other dishes; everyone loved the food. Strongly recommend!

Enjoyable food, music way too loud. A Mano is a very popular, medium sized restaurant, so make your reservations early. Their website allows you to reserve your table in various environment; options include indoor, enclosed patio and open patio. We reserved two weeks ago and got the last available table at that time. They have booths, half booths, tables, and bar seating. The restaurant has a full bar. The decor is very nice, the wood booths were comfortable and we especially liked the woodwork around the bar. We were there for an early diner. The music was so loud that we had to raise our voices to be heard across the table and asked for it to be turned down. The problem persisted and became worse as the restaurant filled with more and more patrons attempting to talk over the music to converse with their family and friends. Our server cheerfully guided us through our entrée options, was efficient and attentive and after we finished our entrées, gave us a thorough and helpful description of the deserts. Our traveling trio ordered two Cacio E Pepe, two Mista Salad, Fried Shrimp, and Ricotta Pound Cake for desert. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and the presentation and flavor was excellent. All three of us really enjoyed everything about the food. It is easy to understand why this restaurant is so popular. The only drawback to our dining experience was the excessive noise.

Rustic pasta and delicious comfort Italian food. Best service in the city, every staff member here is so kind, knowledgeable and caring. Must try in Atlanta!

It's not far from Ponce City Market, but the food is as good or better than anyplace inside that bustling destination. A mano is a work of love, and the gregarious owner is only too happy to give credit to those who helped him find a great chef and open the place on the site of an old barber shop. A Mano prices are high, but so is the value. Very good wine list compliments the food. The pasta is perfect. If you are looking for an out-of-the-way place to impress your friends, this is it. Note: While there are a few parking spaces behind the restaurant, they seem always to be taken. Fortunately, parking is available on the nearby, but dark, side streets. Note as well: the foodies already have discovered this place, so make a reservation. Oh: outstanding service.

This small little restaurant is located in my neighborhood, so i am very lucky because of that. That is not why i rate this amazing place very high on my list though. I first look at customer service, which they have scored 10 out of 10 for me. They are very friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the food they are serving, but also know their wines as well. The food i think is very good as well with specials being offered daily from your server. The place is small and can get a bit loud at times, but it's not enough to shy me away. Please make sure to make a reservation about 2-5 days in advance because they do get booked on a regular basis because of the consistency of the overall product they have to offer.

Some of my favorite bites at a mano were: Crawfish Spaghetti Bucatini Alla Bolognese Fried Potatoes Shishito Peppers I also loved knowing that part of my dinner bill will be going towards supporting the lends a hand night supporting the giving kitchen!

I planned a party for 15 family members and close friends, by asking three people to reserve tables for 4-6 people at around the same time. A family member called and asked that the tables be near each other. The manager converted our plans into a "large-group reservation", which had lots of conditions that we did not ask for or want. For one, we had to arrive at 5:30 sharp, order by 5:45, and be GONE by 8:00. Not very relaxing! Another was the tables were set up in one long line, which meant people at the ends were left with no one to talk to. Everyone was dissatisfied with the arrangement. Finally, the family member who made the call was told there would be a "small fee". I was imagining $20 or $30. It turned out the fee was $120! The reason, the manager told me, was because not every single person ordered $50 of food and drinks, a demand I had no idea was being made and I doubt the family member was fully aware of either. (If I had known, I would have canceled the reservation immediately.) In the end, our party of 15 paid an estimated $850 overall for food, drink, tips (mandatory 20%), and taxes. That works out to over $55/person. As we were being hurried out of the restaurant, I told the manager I felt that fee was ridiculous. Far from handling it graciously, he instantly became angry and said, "not everyone ordered $50 worth! I am losing money on you!" and on and on. It was the ugliest experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The food was pretty good overall, but being stuck with an excess charge of $120 at the end of the meal ruined the experience for everyone who had to chip in. Avoid this place if you want to host a nice event for a large group.

I am very impressed with A Mano. The food was excellent: well prepared with fresh ingredients, and the pasta is made fresh daily. Even the cocktails were works of art. I'm on the road a lot, so I get to try a lot of restaurants. This one compares favorably to the places I've tried in Italy. The service was also great - attentive without being intrusive. The owner (George) was friendly and stopped by to see how we were doing and get our feedback. The people who work here obviously care about what they do. I suggest making reservations. The place hasn't been open long, but was booked solid the first night we tried to eat there.

While there is limited parking, at least there IS parking! The small space is minimalist in approach, and the music *is* quite loud. The outdoor porch is enclosed so very serviceable even in inclement weather. The octopus appetizer was delicious, if somewhat overly salty, and I personally would prefer it without dill.. The carbonara was nicely presented; it is very flavorful though (again) I found the balance off, with too much scallion and (while almost sacrilegious) too much pancetta and peas. It was nice and creamy, so above average though not perfect. The main courses were better, with the flank steak very flavorful and tender. Cauliflower as a contorni was delicious. The pork cheeks were ok. The wine list (by the bottle) was decent and not terribly expensive. The Cannonau went well with all the food. Our server was efficient and relatively friendly. The total bill, after tip and tax, was $140 for two.

I am writing to reflect another view of the large group party at A Mano. I was aware of the per person minimum but felt it was too close to our event to make other arrangements. A Mano is not a large restaurant, and the staff worked to accommodate our request to put us together in the best way they could with the available space. I thought the food and service was excellent and did not feel rushed. The manager communicated to me that guests were not spending at the $50 level, and I told him I was the only one who knew and couldn’t ask others to spend more. He indicated that the extra charge was less than it might have been. I did not find him unreasonable or abusive.

A mano is serving up some seriously tasty lunch specials in Old Fourth Ward. They are known for delicious, traditional pasta dishes made in-house like their cacio e pepe and handcrafted cocktails like the smoked old-fashioned that is lit in front of you in the coziest of bistro atmospheres! I recommend a mano for a satisfying meal, a cozy date night, and to catch up with friends over an impressive beverage. This is one place that the neighborhood knows very well, frequents often, and feels more like family. The dishes are simple and timeless yet feel elevated at the same time. Here is what I tried at a mano. I started with the salads and such. I choose the burrata which is a balsamic reduction, tomato jam, basil oil, and grilled sourdough. This was my first time trying a dish like this. It is a must-try and exploding with cheesy and saucy deliciousness. Next was pasta and such. I went with the spaghetti alfredo that had spaghetti, alfredo, and lemon. I added chicken for just $2. I am in love with this dish. The noodles are served more on the al dente which was a perfect carrier for the alfredo sauce. I also tried the Lamb Arancini of braised lamb, risotto, parmesan, herbs, breadcrumbs, and Pomodoro. The presentation of this dish was just the chef's kiss. For a pro tip try a little of the Lamb Arancini on top of the spaghetti alfredo. .

A corner Italian place in Atlanta, energetic and fun, that tastes like a corner place in Italy where they do not suffer culinary fools. Every dish was consistently excellent and Oh My the Cioppino (seafood stew)! So many sweet little scallops, mussels, and fish, all perfectly cooked. The sauce was rich and full of spice. Nothing limp, mushy, or rubbery here. Be advised the dish sells out. We had gnocchi, beef tartare, bucatini, all exceptional. Our server, Amber, was attentive and warm and not intrusive. We had a great time passing bite back and forth. Tried the Armonia cocktail (tequila) and the house red. Both very good. Go.

Came here with some friends, and we all really enjoyed our meals. The burrata was very good, as well as the side dishes. The grilled cabbage is divine, and we all enjoyed the dessert. Please go. The atmosphere is relaxed and outside is quite romantic. I will definitely go back. Oh, and the frozen lemonade is delish!

Dinner was delicious. My husband and I sat at the bar for dinner. The bartenders working Wednesday the 27th were very nice and informative. Our selections were simply delicious!!

We wanted to dine here for a while. We first noticed the restaurant just driving past it on daily commutes. The building is so charming and enticing. Checking out the menu in advance of making reservations, we noted they could accommodate all of the various dietary preferences of our group: gluten-free, vegetarian, and pescatarian. The menu generally groups the food into three categories: starters, first course, and second course. Sides are listed separately. The portion sizes for everything were enormous, and two people could easily split one from each category and be fully satisfied. The food was so delicious and perfectly seasoned. One of the featured appetizers was a peach and tomato salad. I never would have thought to pair these two items, but it was fabulous. Our group of five also shared a fig and walnut salad, and burrata, both of which were equally wonderful. After sharing such generous appetizers, two in our group only ordered pasta, two in our group only ordered entrees (both having the eggplant parmesan), and one was so full she could only eat a side of pasta. The three large eggplant cutlets in each dish were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and were served with the best tomato sauce I've ever had and a generous amount of freshly grated Parmesan on top. It was the best eggplant parm I've ever had. My daughter had pasta with scallops and mushrooms. The scallops were so tender and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Our server was super attentive and supported the celebratory vibe of the table. I wish they were better on site parking, but that's a problem at nearly every restaurant in Atlanta. On street parking is fairly, readily available within a short walk of the restaurant. We will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Very nice place for some authentic handmade pasta dishes. I had the tortellini with apples, pecans, gorgonzola cheese. Sooo good!! My friend had a scallop pasta dish- said it was the best scallops she has had in a long time! Friendly staff. We did not make reservations but we will next time as it fills up quickly.

Delicous Italian focused dishes! We had a group of 4 and tried seveal pasta dishes that were all wonderful. The Eggplant parmesean was the best I have ever had! We also shared a steak with frites which was excellent as well. The sever was very knowledgable about the menu and the wine list. Very casual atmosphere that has a cozy neighborhood restaurant vibel. Will definitely return!

Food is true to Italian expectations with a touch of local inspiration. You won't have to ask for your pasta al dente. We shared several plates of each course between our small group. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Duck wasn't my 1st choice for an Italian restaurant, but we tried it on the recommendation from our waitress. I have duck at fine dining establishments and nothing has was better than that dish at a manos. Nice attention to detail on fresh greens and grilled vegetables. The bread pudding brings back memories of my great aunt. They have much more than the expected collection of beverages. It can get louder than a typical restaurant - everyone seemed to be having a great time talking while having great food and drink.

One of our party has celiac disease which means No wheat in anything. Even a crumb can make her sick. We know that some wineries use a wheat paste to seal their barrels so even wine can be an issue for her. The staff went all out to research the wine to see if any had an issue with this! The result- a nice red and no illness!! Three of us had the pasta bolognese (one the gluten free pasta) and it was delicious! Spicy with different flavors emerging as you ate. The fourth had pasta with peppers. Also delicious. If we lived here I would be back every week. And! Not very expensive! 4 entrees, an appetizer to share and 6 glasses of wine and the bill was $136.00!!!

In town for business and ordered chicken parm and cacio pepe takeout to eat in my hotel room after a long day. The host promised there was a fork, knife and napkin in the bag. To my horror I opened the bag at the desk in my room to two forks and no knife. I was able to manage with just the two forks, but the truth is the chicken was so good I would’ve eaten it with my bare hands off the bathroom floor if I had to.

Nice neighborhood place with a fun vibe. A home-cooked Southern take on Italian-American food. Cacio e pepe was essentially mac and cheese -- not a bad thing, but not Roman.

Brand new Italian restaurant. Comfortable casual atmosphere and excellent service. We shared the Carbonara, Alla bolognese, Vegetable composition and all were very delicious. The pasta is freshly made pasta. The owner George is charming and hospitable, obliviously cares about his business. Great bar area. limited seating call ahead.

The food was fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. The quality of the ingredients was top notch. We shared a few dishes…a pasta dish, a burrata and chicken Parmesan. Beautiful presentation and delicious. I’m half Italian (mother born and raised there) and this food is authentic. The service was amazing and friendly. Really enjoyed our meal there. The gelato for dessert was like a fluffy marshmallow. Amazing.

A small, casual restaurant with a focused menu that does everything right. Service was excellent; friendly, professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. Every member of our party of nine spoke favorably of the food. Try the Chicken Saltimbocca. An unusual presentation but one I’ll return for. Decent wine and beer menu.

What a great little restaurant! I have driven past this place for some time and finally decided to stop in and see what it is all about. I love good grilled octopus and have eaten some of the best around the globe - the grilled octopus here is probably the best I have had anywhere. Everyone's food in my group was great, the service was attentive and drinks delicious. The only issue is parking - they only have a handful of spots but there is usually street parking on nearby neighborhood streets.

We celebrated a birthday here. We requested seating in the garden and it was lovely. Perfect because we had an infant with us and it was quieter than inside. We enjoyed pastas and salmon. Buratta and beet salad was excellent!

Tonight the 4 of us tried a mano at the urging of my son in-law. He thought it was one of the top Italian restaurants in the ATL but I don’t think it’s there yet. There were standouts and there were items that truly missed their mark. First the service was outstanding! We had Emily serve us and she was great! As far as the food, the Italian Skillet Bread and Octopus were good starters...but the Cacio e Pepe missed badly as I have had better at numerous restaurants in the city. The Bucatini was also very good but again the Fussilli was very average. Again the Duck was very good but the Cioppino was just ok - but not great. It was more like a thick sauce than a broth and also had one bad mussel in it. The Bread Pudding was outstanding and maybe the best I have ever had. Lastly, I think the $25 corkage fee is a little high - as the average in town is only $15 but it is what it is. Will I try it again...maybe...but if I do I hope next time it’s more consistent than tonight!

Three of us had a nice dinner here. Would characterize the cuisine as good, but not excellent. The menu is short, which is good. We didn't have dessert.

Arrived with no reservations. I learned my lesson. But still found a seat at a bar top. Our waitress was knowledgeable and her recommendations helpful. The pasta dishes were beautiful, both to the taste and visually. Well-sourced , fresh products. The checks know how to take advantage of what they have. I will become a once a month regular. Friendly and familial.

My husband and I ate here on a weeknight. It's close to where we live. Nice spot--excellent booth for two in bar area. Our Sardinian red wine was spot on. My starter of fritti veg was delicious albeit not the veggies on the menu. No beets, no fennel no pole beans. Rather okra (a nonstarter for me) onions and haricots vert. When I mentioned it to our waitress she explained they serve what's fresh and available. Fine, but let the diner know. I was pleasantly surprised when management comped the dish, said they understand, and will in future let diners know of changes to the menu. I believe they will do just that. They really seem to care. My cacio and pepe was perfect--al dente, peppery and succulent. My husband enjoyed his carbonara but it's different--egg yolk on top, not incorporated into the dish. Great meal intown in the Old Fourth Ward. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

Excellent all around. Sat outside (it’s covered). Burrata to start. Bolognese + flank steak/chimchurri for dinner. Yummy. Service was amazing. Prices are good. Try it out. We will go back for sure!

My wife and I dined here for dinner on a Thursday evening. This is a small casual neighborhood restaurant with a full bar, good wine list, great food and service with an owner who is on site. We started with the charred octopus, very good. Second we shared the pepper spaghetti which is a very simple but very flavorful dish along with the cauliflower side. Service was on point, food was prepared and delivered as expected. We loved it. We just wished they were in our neighborhood.

The food here is fresh, fresh, fresh. The chef is truly talented. The bartenders are friendly, the interior is welcoming, and when you walk in it feels like you are in a neighborhood restaurant. This place is understated. It whispers excellence. Don't be fooled by the casual approach. The food is definitely top notch.

Fantastic food, unique delicious cocktails and great service. If you're anywhere nearby, take the trip. The prosciutto e melone drink was so different, complex and delicious. All the apps were fantastic (oh, the goat gouda on the antipasti board!) and the carbonara was to die for. Just go!

My husband took me here on a date night this past Saturday. We shared the ravioli and the coffee ice cream sandwich dessert. It was absolutely scrumptious! We will definitely be back!

We ate here while travelling through Atlanta. The staff was uber friendly and the food was very good. If we were back near here I would eat there again. Great vegetarian options as well.

The food was certainly good, though not innovative enough to blow me away. They make their own pasta and have just 5 classic dishes. At least one daily special of a more innovative combination would be a good thing. (The carbonara was very good.) It is a good restaurant. The problem was the service/kitchen combo. Our food was served was served one item at a time with big gaps between and all out of order. The wine list is difficult to parse. There is no information for wines by the glass just the varietal. The ones we ordered had all gone bad. The restaurant did a good job getting us something we liked, but we already had food before we had drinks. I liked the basic decor and ambiance, but its very loud inside.

This small restaurant just opened in July 2017. The menu is one page and 3 of us tried 2 appetizers, 3 first courses, 1 second course, 1 dessert and 3 after dinner drinks. We also shared a bottle of wine. Every course was delicious. This is not your typical Italian fare, so I highly recommend it for travelers who love good food and are open to something that may be slightly different than they tasted previously.
Nice atmosphere, gluten-free no problem
Six of us had reservations on a Saturday night. Very good cocktail, gluten-free was no problem for the celiac people in our party, It was a nice evening and we sat outside which was nice. Our server Laura was terrific. Only problem was the kitchen seemed to have trouble getting all the dishes out together, to the point that it got uncomfortable with one person waiting for quite awhile with everyone else having been served. Still - would definitely go again.
