If you are looking for good authentic Mexican food, look no further. This place is as close to being in Mexico as you can get. The food is wonderful. Try the Torta or the Sopes for real Mexico. Prices are not bad, very affordable for a family. We go there so often they just know us and almost order for us :) Desserts are killer, though I try to avoid. The flan is excellent, tres leches cake is good, too. Guava cheesecake is hard to pass up. Pro tip - ask for cafe de olla (cinnamon and sugar in your coffee). Also live Mariachis on Sundays

We ate an early dinner here last week and had excellent service & food. Would definitely return next time we are in the area!

Pleasant experience, our waitress was very attentive, the chilaquiles and the cattail omelet were very delicious, the coffee from the pot was delicious, we will return soon

The food is delicious. Try the green sauce enchiladas, mole, and chilaqulies. Everthing is fresh hot and served with a smile! Greta price too!

Achiote, less than a mile from the Mexican border, offers American-style Mexican food cooked in authentic Mexican ways. Mexcian corn tortillas are at the base of their antijitos: enchiladas, tacos, burritos, tostadas, etc. People who want to vary a little from the Taco Bell type entrees and go for more standard Mexican fare can take a shot at menudo and other offerings. On the day we were there, the crowd was watching a futbol (soccer) game. It was easy to known which team we should support just from listening to the sounds of the crowd. Given the most common language we heard there was Spanish, we assume the locals find this authentic food as well.

The Guacamole was good. I thought flautas were made with flour tortillas, these were corn. I chose the carnitas flautas thinking softer flour tortillas than corn. The meat was like dog food, not chucks of pork. Any why cover all the dishes with mounds of lettuce? Put it on the side and let us combine it if we want. This was a very AMERICANIZED Mexican food experience.

Everything we ordered at Achiote was very tasty, well prepared. It's the other stuff related to a restaurant outing that was a bit lacking. The service was a bit slow, but more than that, when we asked staff what we needed, they tried to get anyone else to do it (twice) and also forgot what we asked. But we felt the problem was in the management not hiring enough staff for the shift. Indeed it was very busy; if you like families with small children it's great; if you don't the atmosphere might be a bit grating. But the restaurant itself looks nice, has a good layout, and again the our dishes were almost good enough to make up for the service/management issues, but not quite.

First Mexican restaurant of our visit and glad we picked this one. Was convenient being at the Outlet shops where spent way too much but that’s another story 😉 Very quick and friendly service, all the staff were very attentive ensuring drinks, chips etc were always flowing if you wanted them, helpful for first timers to understand menu and what items were and very quick turn out from the kitchen The food when it was delivered to the table was very tasty and filling. The desert menu was great as well. Cannot speak highly enough of the excellent food or service from the staff. A++

This is authentic Mexican food with the original flavors. All the plates in the menu are served with vast amounts of food. The beef tongue, Menudo, chile relleno are awesome. If you like "cafe de olla" (sweet coffee) this is the place. Be prepared for an excellent meal.

Great authentic Mexican food near the factory outlets and near to the Tijuana Mexican border. There was a small moving singing and playing band when I visited!

BAD SERVICE!!! Been going there for many years and it's been several times already that we have gotten bad service but nothing like today. Today was to the point that I honestly think I won't be back, to the point that I left ZERO for the tip. The server Jose Luis had a F'd up attitude and really rude. It took us forever to get our coffee refills and when we were done eating we wanted to try a dessert but it seemed like he was trying to kick us out of there. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

It was around 7:30pm that I visited Achiote and it was not a very good experience from the start. The wait just to be greeted should have been the first clue, several employees made eye contact and then turned away. It was a few minutes before I was greeted and offered a table. I would like to say that it got better from there, but it didn't. It took a while just to get a drink order, maybe 5 minutes just to have someone greet me at the table. I am guessing they were sending someone who spoke English and that person was busy or something because she said she was busy every time it took a while to get anything. I ordered the Queso Fundido and the Chicken Fajitas. The Queso was okay, it was basically melted cheese, some chorizo and tortillas so it wasn't so hard to do. The fajitas were almost inedible. I guess I'm used to fajitas coming hot, not cold and dry. The chicken had to be cooked already before or something and I am not sure that the peppers even saw any heat at all. The best part of the fajitas was the rice, which isn't saying much. And again, the service this entire time was marked by large gaps of no service. I had 1 fajita and couldn't eat any more it was so bad. When I asked for the check, she asked if I wanted a box and when I said no, she asked if I liked them and I again said no. That was the end of the exchange, no other questions or concerns, just got the check and I paid and left. Why did you ask if I liked it if it really didn't matter? I don't really understand, but I guess if you didn't really care if I was there in the first place, you wouldn't care if I came back.........which I surely didn't. I wouldn't go back here after this experience.

We wanted a quick lunch while at Las Americas outlets at the border in San Ysidro without having to go to the food court. just across the parking lot was Achiote, which had a $7.00 lunch special that included the entree and soft drink. This place is frequented by tourists and locals alike which I find tends to mean the food is good. I had Achiote Chicken which was a tender boneless breast in a unique cream sauce. not overly spicy and very flavorful. The tomatillo salsa they bring with the chips was very good. I would have given it a 5/excellent, but the service was spotty. They were friendly enough, but not overly helpful and did not thank us or acknowledge when we left. A deal breaker?? No. But I cannot remember the last time I left an establishment and was not thanked.

I really want to love this place but time and time again they just don't do well. The service is very inconsistent but for the most part not very good, the servers are not attentive and they take forever to take your order and then they disappear. We have tried dinner and lunch but really only go for their Chilaquiles rancheros, everything else is just not tasty. This dish is delicious and really one of our favorite places to go just for this. My kids ordered the pancakes and they came overdone and burned so they didn't eat them. No offer to replace them, they could clearly see that they were not good. Overall their service is a big turnoff and breakfast is the best time to go.

As we entered, we were greeted in Spanish, which I truly appreciated even though I do not speak the language. Seems to be a popular spot for many who are in the general area and those who are just in town to shop. Food was delicious; recommend trying the Chamorro plate!

Right on the border of US and Mexico, Achiote has a great environment to have an original Mexican food. Attendants in service were great and satisfied they made me at the time.

Achiote restarunt sits at the last exit on the American side of the border on the way to Mecico. It is directly in fron of an Outlet Mall with great stores, but that is another story. The restarunt features authentic Mexician dishes with flavors that are out of this world. The servings are of good size, and the service is outstanding. The price is fair for what you receive. This restarunt serves greakfast as well as lunch and dinner.

When you are visiting the Las Americanes Outlet mall, because you are, grab your lunch at Achiote, they have very kind vaitors, and authentic food. A very good experience.

i love the flavors of this place... you just have to come in really early or have patients to wait... excellent food... breakfast is alway a good way to start. we had the Achiote slam with the achiote omelet!!!!!! cant go wrong

This restaurant sits adjacent to an excellent Outlet Shopping Mall so you can shop till you drop and have a great lunch as well. We were seated immediately and our server Ricardo took care of us in a grand fashion, we wanted for nothing. The food was great as well. If you want a light lunch try the Tostadas, they are a meal in their selves.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the world. The service is spectacular and the flavors are amazing. I really advise their nachos and chilaquiles plate. This is very family friendly and great prices.

We looked for a restaurant in the neighbourhood of San Ysidro. The Achiote looked different from the taco shops, but had some controversial ratings on Tripadvisor. We decided to go for dinner. The restaurant is located on the grounds of the Las Americas shopping centre, so enough parking space. We were readily seated. The interior is quite simple. The waitresses were friendly and we got our Margherita on the rocks with no salt without any problems. We shared the Antojo snack. It is large enough for 2 people. The menu is very extensive. I had the lengua ‘tongue’ with a tomatillo sauce: very good. Once again, large portions. The wine list is well balanced with correct prices. We had an excellent Zinfandel for 34 $. In summary a restaurant with an extensive menu of Mexican food, not very sophisticated but good value for your money. A place where you can go with your family.

Although I live downtown and rarely drive, on the weekends I will make the journey south just for this gem. Of San Diego is filled with great Mexican restaurants, but this one is in my top favorites. My favorite thing to order is their Caldo Tlapeno soup (chicken, avocado, chickpeas, veggies, rice, chipotle pepper). A small bowl is plenty for a meal for one. The menu is extensive, and I have tried many of their items over the years from their mole, to all their whole made sauces and salsas...this restaurant never disappoints. The inside is fairly large and looks a lot like a Mexican Denny's or something. Don't let the low prices and the oddly decorated ambiance fool you! Trust me the food could complete with the finest of restaurants. I would suggest coming for a very casual meal.

We visited the place one more time, and the service and food still on same high level of quality and taste. This is a real Mexican food on this side of the border. Bonus: There are Mariachi on live!

food was delicious , good place to go with the family ... it was super busy , reason why waitress took long time in help us or at least bring the drinks , but we just try to relax en enjoy our breakfast

Today i decided to have a carne asada torta and it was delicious. We got seated at 3:55 and asked if we will be getting the lunch specials ( was blowned off) i guess that was a No. And when i decided to pay with my credit card. I noticed that there is a new extra .35 cent that was never charged before and now it is disclosed on the fine print of your receipt for using it. Just FYI... i know it os not much but it is the principal... specialy when it is a new fee that was never charged efor

Stopped in when we were starving after an afternoon of shopping. First impression was good- it seemed busy and clean. Wifi was free and fast which was an added bonus. However service was slow and the food was not even slightly appetising. The nachos tasted as though they had come straight from a packet and we both got chipotle chicken which was not one bit spicy and rather sickening in both appearance and texture. Not to be revisited.

Great customer service and great food waiters and hosted making sure that we where taking care, I would come again because of the service

If you want authentic Mexican food or breakfast, do not think twice this is the place to go, I love their chilaquiles the salsa is unique and somehow it reminds me of home 👌🏼 excellent service and everyone is friendly and nice. This is quality!

A restaurant with very Mexican flavor and very good waiter service. I recommend the pot coffee, it is quite delicious.

This place is in the big outlet mall located at the American side of the US-Mexico border. We had a lunch there. The place was nicely decorated; the food was good - a new taste for us. The price was good. Our server had a slightly difficult time to understand our order.. The rest room was a bit outdated.

We settled on dinner at this establishment due to the recommendation of our air bnb host. Sadly, the service was very slow, we had to ask for water to be refilled twice, more napkins, and missing entrees. No, the place was not overtly busy with patrons. My whole family's dinners came before mine. Our waiter never checked back, we had to flag him down to ask about my meal. It finally arrived +/_ 20 mins and after our whole party had eaten. We had to approach the front register to get our bill. I should have asked to see it after they had long discussion and deliberation over it in Spanish. I paid, was then asked if I wanted a receipt. Upon getting to the car I realized I was over charged. I paid @145. For the worst experience, food, and later, all night 3 out of 7 of us were extremely ill with food poisoning. Ruined our vacation and kept us from planned activities all the next day, further $ wasted.

Well I thought that always go to eat at a place where there Outlets would not be the most important and so far, I have been in ACHIOTE to have breakfasted, dined and eaten and is always amazing first of all for the food, the service and the price... ah!! the cakes and very good music. Free WiFi ..... Now any occasion is always in Achiote is the best Mexican food in San Diego area ....Amaising at All !!

If you visit Las Americas outlet, you can easily find Achiote. We ordered 5 menus. Of them, cow tongue and tilapia cuisine were best. Steamed vegetables was little hard.

I went to this place thinking the food was going to be good however it was worse than Tex Mex. The drinks were not good at all. This place is very commercial and doesn’t taste like authentic Mexican food.

I drank there (Achiote, San Ysidro) the most tasteful coffee of my life, in November '09. Júlio Roldão portuguese journalist

If you have a son with special needs this is not the place for you!!! I have gone to so many restaurants and brought food from outside they have never question me or turned my service away for bringing outside food for my son!!! After speaking to the manager Karla I was told that I should let them known the at my son was autistic for them to accommodate him. Parents with autistic children should not have to explain to anybody why there children only eat certain food they should educate themselves so that next time any parent or family members that walks in with outside food for there children don't get treated the way we where!!!!! If it was for me I would have not given it any stars!!!

This is attached to the Las Americas Mall so you can eat here and then walk to the mall. The restaurant is clean and new. They have an extensive menu with standard Mexican themed plates like burritos. Service was fast and friendly

This place is very clean and well maintained. The food is very good and we were very impressed. Service was great and I will be returning. Also recommending this place to others.

We stopped for a late lunch here after shopping at the nearby clothing outlets. This lovely breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant is not laden with “theme” as are so many American Mexican restaurants. The menu is a delightful has menu selections from different regions of Mexico such as the Cochinita Pibil platter from Yucatan. The restaurant is near the border and you will see an international crowd in both the restaurant and the nearby shops. The tacos, enchiladas, and burritos are wonderful!

Came here with the family after a shopping afternoon at the Plaza were the restaurant is at. Ordered the prime rib and got the prime fat. Hahaha, like a jocke is really what i got. Really bad service and food is a must never come back kind of place. Not recomendable and as i deive back home i can feel the running beginning to show. Stay away, look at the picture of what they really serve at this place.

Great food, just like in Mexico...try the guava cheese cake with a cup of cafe de olla, to die for. Ask to be served by Aaron and/or Santiago Campos, they are the best.

We had lunch at this local joint and left happy. Friendly service, quite good food, very reasonable prices. The 8Dollar lunch option is great. The pilbil, the tacos and the guacamole were great. The cocktail was a bit disappointing. Good options for kids.

Same owners as La Espadaña. Kind of a standard menu of traditional Mexican favorites, but with unique twists on their dishes and excellent quality. Good value.

A Mexican friend offered this very special restaurant because of its home made foods . Atmosphere , Staffs , food and beverages was really delicious . I have tried many Mexican restaurants , but it was really awesome . Staffs were really helpful and polite .it was lunch time and we ordered Jamaica (Hibis cus) and NOR CHAT A (Rice and cinnamon drink),it was really delicious . As a vegetarian , I ordered CHILLER I ANO and the others ordered carcin Ada with flat and steak shape meat, everybody loved their food .

For a flatlander from the frozen plains, this seemed like pretty authentic Mexican food to me! Reasonably priced, tasty and good service. Very close to the Las Americas Premium Outlets and a good place to eat before you cross the border if you're doing a day trip to Tijuana.

Decided to drive down from San Diego for some authentic Mexican food. Was not disappointed at Achiote. Great service and exceptional food. Worth a visit.

Achiote restauran is the real mexican restauran you have always dreamed about. Real mexican tortillas, tacos, carnitas, burritos, menudo, pozole, barbacoa and all the sopes that you could want. Chilaquiles, mozuelos all at your disposal. When the hole industry is trying to create the mexican flavor, this is the real thing by mexican owners with years of experience.

We went for a shopping spree at the mall by the the Mexican border, and after spending so much . $ . $ . energy, we were hungry, but all the choices at the mall are chain fast food stores. When we saw the Achiote Mexican Food we were somewhat afraid; we don´t exactly love Mexican food. Will be clean? Would it be hygienic? Hunger is a bad advisor so there we went and to our surprise it was excellent. Very good salad, good chicken and steak. It was not that spicy, but very typical. Dishes are hearthy! A very good experience. Better than to return to SAN to look for a place to lunch.

Terrible Service, will not go back EVER !! A friend told me about this place, but still we gave it a chance, since the other option was fast food, so Food was just ok. Servers act like they do not want to be there, super slow. We waited at the door for a good 5 minutes, employees were walking, from one place to the other ignoring us...... WILL NEVER GO BACK

Dined here for lunch based on the high ratings and #1 restaurant in the area, but we did not find much special about it. Chicken tortilla soup had a lot of tortillas, but no chicken to speak of - although the flavor was very good. Chicken enchilada and rice were really very good. Servers in general were lackluster...no one smiled, and three people came to the table at different times, each trying to take an order we gave to the last one....there seemed to be some confusion as to who was supposed to take care of us.

Went to Las America’s Premium Outlets and wanted a sit down meal. In an area ruled by fast food, Achiote’s Restaurant is a real standout gem. Waiter Antonio was knowledgeable and accommodating, making sure my requests were honoured. The tuna was seared to perfection, the cilantro dressing was superb, and the house made sauces were outstanding. The pollo mole was very good, big portion. Clean environment, efficient staff with friendly personalities. Thank you for a great dining experience!

Excellent authentic Mexican food. Great Carne Asada Tacos. Nice atmosphere and very kid friendly. Staff was attentive and very nice. Free Chips and salsa. Quick service. Worth a visit.

Pros: the food, the food, and the food. Cons: PARKING! I caught this place in time to eat off the lunch menu. My only wish was that they could open a tapas style spinoff so I could try everything without filling up on the large plates they give. Everything tastes fresh and homemade...just be prepared to take food home with you. All in all, this place is as authentic as you can get without having to cross the border. The only gripe I have is the parking situation. Don't attempt to park anywhere close to a building (and that includes the outlets). Your best bet it to park in the lots behind the outlets next to the border fence and just walk to the restaurant.

This was a great place to eat. I visited mid afternoon and had a slight wait. I ordered the vegetarian burrito which came with a side of refried beans and rice. The burrito was excellent as were the beans. I did not care for the rice, which is unusual for me. The chips and salsa were perhaps the best I have had.

The service at Achiote was friendly but extremely slow--we must have waited nearly a half hour to get our lunch after we ordered. Basic, uninteresting decor. Food was disappointing. The chicken in the luncheon chipotle chicken dish was tough, overcooked, and full of gristle. The chipotle sauce tasted of very little. Rice and beans uninteresting. Cheese enchilada with red sauce was OK. At least it was inexpensive.

Not worth it, the prices are competitive but the food and portions are not worth it. Plus the very dirty bathrooms. I don't recommend them.

This is a great place, if you don't want to drive south of the border but you want to get Real Mexican Food, this is the place, and please please please don't use ketchup on the Chilaquiles.

At the entrance they received us very well, the waiter with a good attitude, the fruit was very fresh, only the meat felt a bit tough, the eggs and the burritos are very delicious, it is not the best Mexican food but it has a good flavor.

We hit this restaurant while visiting the outlets. This place was packed but well worth the wait. Prices are a bit high, but the portions are huge. Definitely worth a stop for a bite.

I went here Sunday for lunch. It was busy -- so you should expect to wait about 30 minutes on weekends to be seated. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch. They have friendly service, a large selection of Mexican dishes to choose from, and a nice atmosphere. The price is average -- not cheap nor exorbitant. All servers appear to be bilingual.

if you are looking for good authentic Mexican food this place is a must. They serve a coffee called "café de la olla" and it is very tasty. The salsas and chips to main entrees to dessert you cant possibly go wrong here.. I visit this locale every time I am in San Diego. You can see Tijuana from there.

Located a hard turn away from the border, plenty of parking, and of course a bi-lingual staff you can't go wrong eating here. You will leave here full, satisfied, and wanting to return. Serving traditional Mexican fares of tacos, burritos, sopas, sopes, menudo, enchiladas, tortas, ...... and a few American dishes. The combination of spices, slow cooked, and presentation are on point! Service is adequate, but can be true to Mexican lifestyle of relaxed (slow). Prices are not high. A full complement of beverages (sodas, beers, tea, frescas, liquidos) to make your meal complete. Looking forward to visiting again, and oh yeah, to shop in the outlet mall sharing the same parking lot. :-)

The Omelettes are delicious. You should try the Achiote and Espadana. Both of them delicious. Service very Fast.

Okay, Iʻm from Maui, Hawaii so I might not be able to tell what is good Mexican food is or not. But, I went to Achiote Restaurant after doing some shopping at the outlet mall and wow, I was impressed. I read reviews about this being a restaurant which serves authentic Mexican flavors so I headed there. Here's a quick review of my experience Food: Great food! I loved the waffle fries! (I donʻt know anywhere I can get that back home) The sandwich, La Torta, was very tasty and a good sized portion. Service: This place has got to be the best service I experienced on this trip to San Diego. From when I entered the door, to the time I exited, I had nothing but the nicest, friendliest, and most helpful people around. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was a nice family restaurant and the restrooms were clean. I approached the manager and told him what a wonderful place he had. Great food and great serviced. I was impressed. This has got to be one of the best dining experiences Iʻve had since reviewing on Trip Advisor.

I am sorry but this restaurant isn't that great....the service was very poor.....had to ask for salsa three to four times...got water without ice cubes...food was cold....my street tacos consisted of meat & guacamole. ..nothing special.....i dont like white rice...other family members thought the food was very fair....it was like eating at a Denny's.....we won't be going back

I tried the Quesadilla Gold with mushrooms and cilantro. It was amazing! I heard the guava cheesecake is amazing, I didn't try it, but my friend said it is a MUST so I will be trying it SOON!

I am so sorry! but I disagree with the comments; real mexican food. First, we in Mexico do not use melting cheese to cover our food, that is totally Tex Mex, if you really want to eat real mexican food in San Ysidro then you should go to some of the food trucks, this place is pure trash, food, people and the attitude that some of the servers and loud is the same loud, bad manners and screaming kids that you find in La Espadaña in Tijuana, that is why I will never go there to eat authentic mexican food, Talavera, Espadaña and Achiote the same awful food and that is not mexican.

I just missed their early bird specials, so go early and save money. Excellent price on Dos XX draft, good burritos, and chips. Located in the Massive Outlet Mall right on the road to the border, really convenient. Right next to US Bank, and ATM location.

Great food. Clean restaurant. And good service. Definitely would recommend a visit here if you get the chance.

I had lunch at Achiote on a visit to the Tijuana border area. It is easily reached from the end of the San Diego Trolley by walking over the highway-spanning pedestrian bridge to the Las Americas outlet mall (it is on the south side of Camino de la Plaza that runs past the mail). The restaurant is modern, clean, and comfortable; the service is gracious and efficient; the food is superb: light, non-greasy, fresh, beautiful versions of many Mexican dishes. I paid $7 for carne asada with rice and beans and a lemonade. Amazing value and quality.

The food is amazing, never lets me down regardless of the food item I choose. I recommend trying cafe de la olla its delicious. I've been here numerous times Ive has enchiladas de mole, sopes, tostadas, pancakes and other stuff and its all very good. While the food is consistently good the service is not. Ive had nights where its obvious the manager or owner is on the floor because we get welcomed and greeted by every worker that comes by, and very smiley with extra fast service. Other days like the last one we had, we had to wait to be seated and after 10-15min no one sat us so we walked to the bar area and sat down. We had to grab our own menus and when we were ready had to basically hunt down a server to take our order. Every Time we would raise our hand or say excuse me they pretended not to see us. So we've had both extremely good and extremely bad service here. Hopefully you get good service because the food is great.

You never know what your going to get. Had awesome service one, and horrible slow service another time. Food is hot and miss too

Stopped in here for lunch after some shopping at the Las Americas mall. Good margaritas and beer was served in frosted glasses ( nice touch ). Food was good and price was reasonable. Large roomy restaurant with excellent service.

I always go there for breakfast! Pros: Free chips and salsa Free WiFi Clean Bathrooms Best restaurant in Las Americas Outlet Great quality and good prices Cons: It could get busy in the mornings during the weekend

Enjoyed the service and food very much after a long day of shopping. Very authentic and don't have to cross the border!

This was my second time coming here and I loved it just as much as the first time. The cafe de la oya was amazing (as always). The chilaquiles were very good. My husband got the cochinita pibil, which was very delicious. Sergio was our waiter and he was very friendly and very great with his customer service. The restaurant was very clean and organized. I'm definably coming back soon.

The food is not your run of the mill Mexican tacos and burritos. It is extremely flavorful and very well prepared. Great choices on the menu and the service has been very good,

We had high hopes for this restaurant just north of the Mexican border. We tried several different items and found everything to be just average. Our server, although not busy, hardly ever visited our table. I would not stop here again.

Went here for lunch after taking a break from shopping at Las Americas. The place is kind of like a Mexican Denny's. Everything we ordered was very good along with some cold beer. Service was quick and efficient and we were on our way back to shopping.

Everybody knows California is the place to go besides Mexico to get you Mexican food fix and Achiote loves up to all the hype.

Kitchen was slow and waitstaff was a little disorganized, but apologetic and very pleasant. The restaurant is clean. Food was very good once it arrived. Large portions - you'll need a take-out box. This is the only place I've ever dined with unlimited refills of horchatas. Parking was tough due to the large nearby outlet mall, but if you're already parked there to shop, just walk across the parking lot to the restaurant. I recommend this place if you're not in a hurry and not watching your nickels. If you're tapped out after stalking the outlet mall all afternoon, just go to the McDonalds nearby.

We were looking forward to some great Mexican food by the border. This was the worst. The food was not very good and the bill was ridiculous - $5 for a coke, $18 for a lousy relleno.

After some shopping, we were very hungry and decided to eat here. I was a little unsure since I'm picky but this turned out to be really good. The best salsa verde we've ever had! Excellent service and good food for a good price.

I was in the San Diego area visiting my husband's family. My sister in law and mother in law took me to this place for a girls breakfast. The food was out of this world. I loved the atmosphere and decor. The outdoor sitting area was very comfy. I would recommend this place to sit and gab and munch on amazing good....definitely a treat while I was in San Diego
special coffe made with cinamon and piloncillo, cafe de olla.......
A good place for a Mexican breakfast, the service is good but need to be more organized or communicated , I tell you this because at the beginning I was asked three or four times about what I was going to order, but after I finished my meal I had to wait more than usual to have my check ready. No complaints about the food and is important to say that the tortillas were really handmade, at least they tasted like that.
