Folks it doesn't get much better than this. If you are looking for a cute place to take your sweetie this is it! Everything on the menu is excellent. A bit pricey but worth it.

We heard it was wonderful, longtime Dallas establishment then finally made it there only to have to ask for a menu after 30 minutes, then wait 3 hours for our meal, then have our meal be bland and quite frankly awful. I have to assume from all the fabulous reviews and things we have heard it was just an "off" night but that is too far off for us to ever consider returning. Unfortunately we have to give it a poor for service, food and quality.

We made reservations at Adelmos and arrived a few minutes early. This is a very small restaurant, so it has a great intimate but homey atmosphere. We were seated at a tiny table right in front of the door, which had a strong, cold breeze every time the door opened. We immediately asked to be moved to another table, and were accommodated upstairs (a bit begrudingly). The staff was good and new the menu well. Our appetizer of prosciutto and mozzarella was good. Our salad came with a great house dressing, and we enjoyed the house Sangiovese wine by the glass. My husband said that his lasagna was good, and my tagliatelle with bolognese sauce was excellent! We will most likely return to Adelmo's.

Although it is not close to home, my wife and I wind up there often when we’re in DALLAS. The food is consistently good, and it is one of the few restaurants that does Osso Buco correctly - with veal. Adelmo recommended a wine last week that was reasonably priced and we thought it was well worth it. The service is good as well. My only complaint is that it can get a little loud when busy which makes it hard for this old geezer to hear the conversation.

Always a well prepared, presented, tasty experience. Fish special delicate and balanced with broccoli and crispy oven roasted potatoes. Waiter pleasant and professional, knowledgeable of menu and wine list. Always a very civilized experience.

This restaurant needs to work on hiring better qualified waiters. We had the rudest waiter. He didn’t even bother telling us the specials, and was extremely abrupt when asked any question. The food was okay. The leek soup was quite good - brothy, not a heavy cream soup. The mussels appetizer, however, did not match the menu description - they are mussels in a heavy tomato sauce. I enjoyed the lobster, smoked salmon and shrimp entree salad - it was fresh and light. Unfortunately, the meal wasn’t good enough to want us to return and risk another rude waiter experience.

Intimate family owned and managed Italian restaurant. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. If you want to eat where the locals eat this is the place. Wonderful salmon, lamb and i often eat the rigitoni bolonese or garlic chicken all accopanied with a great hoiuse salad . Very good wine selection for a restaurant of this size I reccommend reservations on Friday and Saturday . Adelmo, his son Andrew and wife Eliza are a delite as all the staff and can be very entertaining.

Not what I expected. The antipasto plate was small and sad. The minestrone soup did not taste freshly made and was only lukewarm. The mains had little flavour. The service was good and the atmosphere was homey. Sadly, those were the only strong points.

We were served promptly but not in such as way to make us feel rushed with our pre-dinner drinks or the rest of our food. The wine list is excellent and the dessert (a pumpkin cheesecake) was absolutely delicious.

Just had dinner at this exceptional Italian restaurant celebrating a friend's birthday. Adelmos is exceptional in every way - food, ambiance and service We have had Fernando as our server many times and he is always the same- excellent! The ambiance is such that one feels to be in NYC or some wonderful Italian village or city. Thanks Adelmos for a special evening - as always.

The reason this restaurant has been so successful is that they treat you like family. The food is excellent.

We have been dining at Adelmo’s when we are in Dallas for about 30 years. Original tiny location in the Knox-Henderson area had great food, but little ambience. About a year ago, they moved to a much nicer location in the Lovers-Inwood area. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is impeccable. The food is still wonderful—classic Italian dishes. Reservations recommended unless you go early—especially on weekends!

The food was fabulous. The service was even better. The atmosphere was very calming and beautiful. We needed to make early (5:00 pm) reservations because we were going to go see Hamilton and everyone was told to get there early. When I called for reservations I told them this. When we arrived, they were ready for us and ready to take our orders as soon as we knew them. Then the food came out quickly and very yummy. We would recommend to all.

This is not the newfangled corporate model. We just happened upon the restaurant when we were looking for somewhere to eat lunch. We strolled into a tiny but lovely and intimate dining room. Not being too hungry, we ordered a tomato and mozzarella appetizer with fish soup. Let me just say that we ate ever bite! The mozzarella was freshly made, the bread crisp and soft, and the soup was soaked up with the bread till the last drop. Along with the Pino Grigio, we were lured into espresso and desserts of home made vanilla icecream and strawberries marinated in a white chocolate liquor. We enjoyed every morsel and the service was perfection. We will visit Adelmo's again on our next visit to Dallas. If you are looking for the latest and trendiest, stay away. If you are looking for a slice of Italian old world charm, give Adelmo's a try.

Most restaurant websites put this place in the top 3 italian restaurants in Dallas. Why, I don't know. Food is so-so, but the service is what lacked. It was good at first, but when a table of 8 or 10 were seated our waitress forgot about us. And there were more empty tables than full. This was our first and last dining experience at Adelmo's. If this is one of the best, I shutter to think what the other top 10 measure up to.

Very fine, authentic Italian cuisine. This is a favorite.

My husband and I decided to have dinner at Adelemos again because we had not visited in a year or so. I must say that the food is still as good as it was before. The fried calamari, caesar salad, veal scaloppini, veal parmigiana, and bread pudding were all great. We especially loved the wine that Adelmo personally recommended for us to try. What we like the most is that Adelmo, his wife Eliza, and his courteous staff make us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this charming restaurtant.

We had lunch with a close friend and it was one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. The minestrone soup was outstanding. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was outstanding. and the Rigatoni Bolognese Classico was as good as the best I have ever eaten. Their house wines, especially the Merlot were also outstanding.

I've been eating at this place for years and have never thought to write a review. Adelmo is in charge at his small restaurant and it shows. Everything is executed with precision and excellence. The food never disappoints and the service is from older, experienced waiters who understand the professionalism that accompanies their position. This is a no-nonsence restaurant; I'd definitely not recommend it for children under 12. The european style daily menu is, oddly, updated daily, unlike most other restaurants that simply claim to have a daily special. The small, varied main menu remains so because the food is carefully prepared and cooked to order. Nothing about Adelmo's suggests hurriedness and rapid table turns. Take your time, enjoy some of the best food and atmosphere this side of the Atlantic and pretend you're dining at your grandmother's house in Florence or Salzburg. If you're lucky, she might just walk through the door.

While for a few minutes early on a Friday evening we wondered if we would be the only ones in the second floor dining room, no worries. The place soon filled with enthusiastic regulars who clearly cherish this special establishment. We thought the salmon tartare appetizer we had was one of the best things we had ever tasted, but even that was bested by the outstanding entrees. My wife and I competed singing the praises of our selections. Hers, a carefully prepared veal piccata. Mine, the seafood linguini which now stands atop the list of best Italian foods I have ever eaten. Amazing. Add a delightful, attentive wait staff and you get a great experience.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Exceptional service from a knowledgeable and attentive server. Hard to choose an entrée as there are so many mouthwatering choices. Everyone at our table was pleased - I believe I had one of, if not, the best Veal Marsala in the Metroplex. And the bolognese sauce can't be beat. You won't be disappointed!

Good Italian with a cozy atmosphere.

My wife and I do live in Dallas, but go there often. We chose Adelmo's because it was a small quit restaurant and Trip Advisor's reviews. The review and our dinner were right on target. What a refreshing restaurant where both the food and service leave nothing but very complimentary experiences. We had a lovely dinner in a quit setting. Our dinner of Atlantic Sole was perfect. The table service was most professional and just right with timing and suggestions. I observed the wait staff was all male:quite European! It seems that Adelmo's has been at this locations for many years. The owner also has his eye on the dinning room at all times! I like that.... You will not be disappointed with your evening here.

From a tiny spot off Knox to a beautifully enlarged space in Inwood Village next to a fountain, Adelmo's is still a yummy spot for gorgeous Italian food and great service.

My wife and I have been marking our anniversary with a evening meal at Aldomo's for many years. We started years ago when the restaurant was located on Cole Ave. Dallas, TX. when they moved to their new location< In-wood Shopping Center, Lovers Ln. it gave us pause. Sometimes a move does not translate into continued success. This move improved their business very successfully!....We recently again had an anniversary dinner and it was as wonderful as ever...That is consistency! Not being familiar with Tabbouleh Salad, we gave it a try.....What a wonderful salad and such a welcome departure from can-be boring salads! In the future we will be measuring all Tabbouleh Salads against Adelmo's!!! Another favorite dish is their Gnocchi. As Mrs.Banchetti descibes --decedent!. We agree! When you dine here you will observe quite a few locals. They easily could dine at any restaurant in Dallas or world wide for that matter. They dine here for exceptional, consistent meals and they ability to have a table conversation without having to holler...The Banchetti Family is a hands-on affair. You will enjoy your dinning experience here!!

If you believe in the greatness of Osso Bucco - then there's only one place in Dallas - Adelmo's. Quaint and delicious.

The best restaurants in my opinion are the "mom and pop" establishments. There is an atmosphere reflective of the owners personality and attention to the customers is usually an indication. This is certainly true of Adelmo's. Adelmo himself greets you at the door of this cozy little place. No frills but very comfortable and "unnoisy". We prefer the calamari, but next time I will try the seafood soup. I've had the osso bucco twice and each time it was served differently but delicious. My fiancee loves the chicken marsala. The house wines are reasonable and very good for the table. There's room upstairs for a larger party. Call ahead for reservations especially on weekends. I have few favorite italian restaurants in Dallas. This is #1.

Dallas doesn't have many places that have lasted so long without constant heavy marketing, turnover of chefs, and food trends. Adelmo's is small, the owner is attentive but not intrusive, and we found the Saturday evening menu interesting and well done. Good soup, salads, beef and seafood dishes.

We selected Adelmo's to celebrate our Anniversary. We have been coming here off and on for 20 years. Their new location is gorgeous! The food is still off the charts wonderful! Our server Liz provided impeccable service! She made us feel so special for our Anniversary celebration. It felt as if everyone at Adelmo's truly shared in our joy. They certainly went out of their way to make our evening special. Thank you!!! Now for the food....their lasagne is the best we have ever had...we have eaten at Batali restaurants, Becco, etc....and no none beats Adelmo's lasagna! Their veal marsala was wonderfully tender and the sauce was superb! I don't think you can go wrong with any entree. As a finale, their bread pudding is a must have!! If you want the best Italian in Dallas with personal, impeccable service in a lovely setting, Adelmo's is your place.

This restaurant was an amazing surprise. I highly recommend reservations because it is very small & it appears there is regulars that have reservations. First, this italian restaurant is a must! The food is amazing. My husband went for our 16th wedding anniversary and we were treated so well. Overall wonderful experience!

My wife and I have been dining at Ademo's for years. We first ate at Adelmo's when it was in a very small restaurant in another location. A wonderful environment! Several years ago the family moved to their present location. When a restaurant moves it takes a risk. This certainly was not the case. Their new location and restaurant is a full and improved success!. Adelmo's is a family-run restaurant. When the pandemic hit we were able to eat there. Now that is behind us, we scheduled a birthday dinner for our grown granddaughter and family. The Banchetti family welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm even though it has be a spell since were have eaten there. The food was wonderful and everyone complimented their meal selection. What makes this restaurant so popular is their consistent high-quality food and meal selection. The Mr & Mrs. Banchetti seem to take of the front of the restaurant and the daughter, the kitchen. The daughter makes wonderful desserts! You must try one! One last thing: this is a restaurant you can have a normal dinner conversation witout shouting! We will be returning as soon on our next trip to Dallas, TX

My eggplant was undercooked. The other couple we were there with had to send one meal back as it came out lukewarm. The flavors were good but given the rest it wasn't a good first impression.

Met with a group of friends on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately in a back room. Cozy and nice atmosphere. Victor our waiter was attentive and very professional. My wife & I shared the mussels in a tomato sauce. Some of the best we have eaten in Dallas. Large tender and the sauce was perfect. We each had the tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce. It was excellent. Our fiends had the caesar salad and minestrone soup. Entrees were the chicken milanese. We shared a cappuccino pie that was very good. I had a Sangiovese wine & my wife had the Pinot Grigio. We all enjoyed our meals and will return.

I recently celebrated by birthday here with five great friends. They treated us like royalty! We had a fabulous table front and center, the food was super delicious, and service was spot on. Their floor management is awesome--Lauren came by to "touch" our table throughout the night, she is a perfect host. Mrs. Adelmo was there and she sent over a complimentary glass of Prosecco to everyone in my party to celebrate the occasion. Love this place!

The dining area is cozy but comfortable. The staff is very nice and friendly, they made us feel right at home. Then, on top of that, the food is just delicious. Everything we had tasted fresh and like it was cooked with care. We were treated like family and felt like we were nephews and nieces returning to our favorite relatives. This is definitely one of our favorites. I have nothing negative to post about them.

I owned a successful restaurant in central London for 18 years, so I thoroughly understand the challenges in providing a consistent experience, especially after a customer has become a "regular" who has come to expect a high standard. So I am pretty forgiving of the odd "off night" wherein a new waitperson, or an unplanned short staffing in the kitchen, can make an evening a little sub-par. These things happen. These things are most often handled easily by a nice apology from the owner or manager, recognizing that something has gone amiss, and in the more extreme cases even comping dessert or some wine or something. Its simply what one does in the restaurant world to let valuable customers know they matter. And so it's pretty shocking and extremely uncomfortable when an evening falls apart repeatedly, and the owner, when made aware of it in a nice way, decides to be abusive to the customer instead of recognizing the shortcomings in his establishment. That is the customer position I find myself in regarding Adelmos, where heretofore I have had many enjoyable evenings with my wife, family and friends. But several months back I took my family and in-laws who had travelled to Dallas to join in my Mother's 90th birthday celebration and we chose Adelmos for the auspicious event. We were a party of 8 with reservations. We arrived on-time and were seated in the snug downstairs that I had requested since the stairs to the 2nd level are quite steep and my Mother is 90. As I recall, the downstairs was configured for 9 tables that night, as our group had required tables to be joined. As always, the place looked charming with it's white tablecloths and warm, intimate lighting. It looked the perfect, cozy upscale neighborhood place for a social, yet intimate dining experience as indeed we had often had previously. The food is usually excellent, the service attentive and politely unobtrusive and the wine list of high quality and varied by price. Bu this evening, things turned out differently. It took 20 minutes to get menus and wine ordered. Then when the appetizers came, my son-in-law's soup didn't appear. We had the others start and I waited for his soup to arrive, assuming they simply had run out of hands and fingers to carry it all. But it didn't arrive and I tried for 7 minutes to flag down our waiter in the tiny dining room. I finally got his attention, and he said he'd retrieve it immediately. Nothing showed up. I flagged him again after a few minutes and he appeared irritated, either at us or something. He again disappeared for the soup. When he failed on the third try I stood up and got another waiter, explained the difficulty (all the rest of our party had completely finished their appetizers) and this waiter brought the missing soup, then disappeared before I could ask him to re-fill our wine glasses. So I stood up, went across the from to our wine bucket and retrieved and re-filled everyone's glasses. Remember, there were only about 9 tables. It got worse, when the entree's came, we had THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. My son-in-law's entree didn't arrive and I had to try 3 times to get it. And again, the rest of the group was halfway through their entrees before we secured the missing one from a waiter who was not our own. My wife gave him a brief but exasperated account of the disastrous evening. There was no apology, no anything, just a somewhat curt setting down of the dish. The truth is, the kitchen may have had problems, but our waiter was paying no attention to us, instead visiting with other tables. It was at this point, when we had been there almost 2 hours, had struggled all evening to have food delivered, wine served, etc., that Adelmo came over, glared at my wife, and snapped at her that he only had a small kitchen. Our whole party was shocked. Any thought of dessert evaporated, and almost in unison and without further ado we immediately stood up. I called for the check, we helped the ladies on with their coats and my party headed for the door. I stayed behind to talk to Adelmo. I was not angry or ugly, but I wanted him to know he was way, way out of line. He was extremely emotional with me, my guess was that this wasn't the only problem he'd had that evening. He admitted he should never have said what he'd said, etc. He said it wasn't the waiter's fault, but in truth the waiter was hugely at fault. I told Adelmo he owed my wife an apology which he was clearly unwilling to go outside where they were waiting for me and do, so we left. He comped nothing, he made no gesture to reconcile. We had never been ugly or abusive the entire evening. It was beyond my belief. All so needless had Adelmo chosen to handle it differently. And as I have always enjoyed the place, it was with a sense of real sorrow that we exited the door for the last time. I waited awhile to write this, as I wanted to be fair and dispassionate. In sum, you might have a wonderful evening with good food, good service, a pleasant and intimate atmosphere and nice wine. You will pay a lot of money for it, but that's ok. On the other hand, you may have an extreme disaster as we did and then abuse from the owner and decide never to return, as we also did. And you will pay a lot of money for this experience also. There are TONS of great restaurants in Dallas, too many to put up with this kind of thing. Do yourself a favor and go to Cadots instead. I'll write a review of it in a few days.

We waited for our food for 1-1/2 hours. After repeated promises of "you're food will be out soon" or "just 5 more minutes" we finally were standing up to leave when the food arrived. Then I only received the meat portion of my meal and they failed to bring the pasta. I had to ask twice for it. You'd think an Italian restaurant would remember the pasta.

This was our first visit, referred by a trip advisor search. By the time we left the restaurant we had added it to our list of favorite places in Dallas for top-notch food and service in a pleasant setting. Our server was Semiha U, and she was pleasant and efficient, with a delightful personality. The menu and wine list were quite extensive. I chose minestrone soup and Bolognese Tagliatelle. Both were plentiful, the soup was some of the tastiest I have tasted in Dallas, and loaded with veggies. The Bolognese was nothing short of mouth wateringly fantastic, so good I know we will be back often. My wife had the mushrooms stuffed with Italian sausage and a Caesar salad. She raves about the mushrooms, so I tried one-they were absolutely fantastic. The mushroom dish was so large that my wife had Semiha cancel the Caesar salad. We will definitely be back again and again.

Adelmo's is run by a gentlemen by the name of..... Adelmo. He is there all the time, a very much hands on owner. The atmosphere is elegant but not pretentious. There are always excellent specials available. They are also open to mixing and matching items to appeal to each diner. My wife and I ate there on 9-9-13. I had a special or Vodka sauce with chicken over spinach ravioli. My wife didn't want the sauce and asked for chopped tomatoes instead. The dish came out exactly as she envisioned it. Dinner is as unique and enjoyable as lunch.

This cozy little house is always busy because it is so tasty and intimate. Definitely make reservations.

Everything on the menu is phenom.!!! Buffalo "Osso Buco" escargo, and the only place I'll eat veal "scaloppini limone", plus the wine list !!!! Buy a bottle and enjoy !!!

I wish we had half stars. This was 4.5. The service was ourstanding. The food was terrific except for the appetizer. Mussels were a little big and tough. But the lasagna was amazing...rivaled my Moms. The filet of sole special was exceptional. And we can't say kinder things about Adelmo. He is a consummate restaurantuer.

Avoid. Terrible service (waited over 60 minutes for entres after appetizers), and not even average food. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen, but we finally had to ask if there was a problem when the waitress came to the table to apologize and say food would come soon, four times. Then, a very overweight, older man, came and I jokingly asked if the chef left, and they said he was sick, and they were down a cook. He then yelled at me for even asking about how long it was taking to get food, as their food is made to order. It was like a scene out of Hell’s Kitchen. The chef’s mother came to say her son was out sick and food will come. We stayed 1 hour 50 minutes, and then left at 10:05pm to get some food at Maggiano’s before it closed. Only food we managed to get was the fried calamari, burrata, and bread. All were not good. Not sure why they thought they could treat patrons like this.

First, the service was excellent. We received much attention and we were never without drink. I liked the quietness of the restaurant. We easily carried on a conversation and could barely hear background music - perfect. The wine list is very good. Not knowing Italian wines well, Adelmo came to our table and asked what type of California wine we liked. After naming our preference, a wine recommendation was made that was fabulous. We ordered Osso Bucco and the nightly special of Branzino slightly breaded with crabmeat, mushrooms and a lemon wine sauce. The entrees were very good but didn't rate excellent in my opinion. There were small salads with the meal that were also good. The tiramisu was excellent. Overall a very good dining experience. I would easily return.

Family owned/operated for more than 3 decades Adelmos offers up northern Italian/Mediterranean dishes both lunch and dinner. Owner Adelmo is usually greeting guests nightly with apron on...son Andrew head chef in tiny kitchen. Usually very enjoyable unless that Italian temper shows it's ugly face.... Which happens from time to time. Closed Sunday

Great ambience, especially having the music low enough to enjoy a conversation. Our first time and waiter Jeffery was so attentive and an asset to this company. Food was plenty and well prepared. Best of all was meeting the lovely Lauren with her soft and gentle smile and enjoying her act of kindness in offering us the free desert. Will definitely be back to sample the other delights!

Expecting a great meal as so many at the former location, I was disappointed as something was lost in the move. Perhaps it is the larger space and loss of intimacy. The food was acceptable, the service very average and not bad, just a let down.

While attending a Dallas trade show, a vendor recommended Adelmo's to us. We enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service and will return on our next trip to Dallas. As a business traveler, work typically dictates the daily schedule with meals following. Breakfast is hotel fare (continental up to a full breakfast). Lunch ranges from coffee to a sandwich. Dinner, however, is the time to relax and enjoy a good meal and conversation. Adelmo's gave us all of those things. That evening we had the upstairs to ourselves, so the service was excellent. Our server seemed to be a veteran of the restaurant (maybe even a family member) so we let him guide us in some of our choices. Lobster raviolis, seafood linguine, and osso buco to name a few. He selected a house cabernet for us which was comparable to anything I would have chosen. To top it off they gave us a complimentary order of cannoli to finish our meal. The atmosphere was friendly and intimate. The quality of the food was very good. The service was excellent. We will go back and probably take some business colleagues with us. Highly recommended.

Setting: Inwood Village in Bluff View, Dallas; Decor: interesting and tasteful; Service: good, but not knowledgeable on wines; Wine List: interesting selection that does not follow the standard distributors, but relatively limited; Meal: my wife had Ruby Trout, and I had Arctic Char. Ruby Trout was very good. Arctic Char was served with a piquant sauce and was not as firm as my past experiences with Arctic Char. Still, it was certainly good. Noise Level: Loud to Very Loud. i'm pleased that they had many diners, especially for a Tue night, but just wish that it was a bit quieter. Recommend: Yes. Return: Yes.

We ordered a split entree as we had also ordered several appetizers. However, only half of our split order was brought out. We didn't realize this and assumed it was just a small serving for the entree. 20 minutes later, another plate was brought out. At this point, we sent it back because we had already finished our meal. We were very surprised at the rudeness of the waitress and another male staff member (who may have been the owner...we didn't ask). Add in that the food was just ok, and there's really no reason for us to return.

Adelmo's features great food in a convenient location in Inwood Village, but with a neighborhood feel. The owner is on-site, and the food is fresh and tastes homemade. Great lasagna, but there is so much more. Excellent salmon and other seafood. The bread is worth the trip, as are the desserts.

My husband and I went to Adelmo’s on a Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. It took 10 minutes just to get a menu. Another 15 to get our cocktails. I have never had such a slow waiter in my life. If the food had been really good it wouldn’t have been so bad but it was mediocre. My fault for not asking how the escargot was fixed. I was assuming oil and garlic but it was a bitter tomato sauce. I wouldn’t have ordered it had I known since I ordered the osso buco which also came in a tomato sauce. Meat was tender but sauce wasn’t very good. Took a while to get our bill. Even after we gave him our credit card it took another 15 minutes to get our receipt. I won’t be back.

Since moving from Chicago we have been on a search for good Italian food in Dallas. Adelmo's is an absolutely excellent higher end ristorante. This is my second visit and on the first the service was not so great but this time service matched the excellent food and quaint atmosphere. Our group has the oso buco, lobster ravioli, a pasta dish and a veal dish. The appetizers we selected were also excellent; soft shell crab and the melone e proscioutto. No room for dessert but the coffee was great and in a real differentiator this is the first Dallas restaurant that carried the great Italian liquor anisette and they had the good stuff (Marie Brizard). I am frankly amazed that on a Saturday night it was not packed, it's as good as anything we have had in Dallas and would compare well with Chicago, Boston and New York restaurants we have frequented over the years.

We found Adelmo's by accident. It was across the street from where we had intended to go. We just walked over as a quick and close alternative. What a pleasant accident. We found the service and food excellent. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. All four of us had different dishes and we were all pleased with our choices. The next time we go back I assure you it will be intentional.

A small Italian Restaurant on a side street in the Knox-Henderson area of Dallas. We stopped in without reservations and were taken to an upstairs dining area as it was fairly busy for a Thursday evening. We were provided with bread and an assortment of olives, peppers, roasted garlic in oil and butter. The service was good and personable. We were not overly hungry and the waiter suggested we split a salad and entree opting for a Feta Salad and Lasagna. The salad was excellent however the Lasagna was luke warm at best but tasty. Although I did not notice, my wife felt there was an oder permeating the dining area possibly due to structural age and upkeep. She was concerned with the condition of of the restroom as well. For the fare I feel there are many alternate choices in the area.

We have been dining at Adelmo's for many years. Started when they were located in a tiny little (cozy) location. Many a wonderful evenings there. We usually went to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. We do not live in Dallas, so each visit was special. When Adelmo's moved their new location it gave us pause that the wonderful cozy restaurant would be able to take their reputation with them......They did id spades! Their new restaurant and location is superb. When you enter you will most likely be greeted by a family member. At the entrance is a cozy bar well stocked. The dinning room (s) are just spacious with cream colored wall with plenty of windows for natural light. Just very well done. Now the food. Through the years their food has been very consistent and very well perpaired with fresh ingredients. he signature dish must be their Dover Sole. Ir will melt in your mouth. Comes with a light lemon sauce. You can actually taste the fish. There is an calamari appetizer that is a meal in itself......Wonderful! Another appetizer is their gnocchi. Other dishes are perfectly cooked. On our last visit we visited with the mother and father along with their delightful daughter. The daughter Loran makes the deserts and her brother oversee the kitchen............thus a Family affair! One last note of importance......... you can actually have a normal dinner conversation. This is a very welcome event and a factor that keeps us coming back. You will find their table service most efficient and waiters knowledgeable and helpful with your selection. The wine menu is quite sufficient. We have no reservations recommending Adelmo's!

Adelmo’s moves to Inwood Village from the original Cole Avenue location sometime ago, I guess. The new restaurant is just beautiful. The atmosphere has some real modern twists with the elegance, comfort and approachability you expect from Adelmo. If you remeber the Cole restaurant, the bar area was really for making drinks. Now at Inwood, Adelmo’s has a beautiful bar with great outdoor patio space and Olivia, the bartender is fantastic! Fabulous cocktails along with a bright smile and attentive service. Eliza was a very attentive host, as always, making us feel like we were at home. I had the Burrata with Heirloom Tomatoes, minestrone soup and the Branzino. All three dishes were spectacular. The Burrata was fresh, the tomatoes were perfectly ripened and abundant. The soup was rich, well seasoned and really tasty. The Branzino was Mediterranean style and was out of this world. My wife had the double lamb chops and they were perfect in every way. Perfectly grilled, seasoned just right and a really nice portion. She started with the world famous crab cakes and they were outstanding. If you want to experience the best Dallas has to offer, them Adelmo’s Ristorante is the place. What a perfect way to finish the week....

I love all of their food, this is such a great addition to the neighborhood. The owner, Adelmo is always there. The service is decent when I come in and again, the food is marvelous. The place does get crazy on weekend evenings and they can seem overwhelmed but hopefully they can iron that out soon. I couldn't be happier with quality of the food, they always do a great job.

This was our 1st time at Adelmo's and it was excellent!!! The food was incredible! The 3 of us enjoyed the green vegetable soup special and cesar & mixed green salads. We all ordered the veal dish and it was incredible - cooked to perfection and the lemon sauce & capers was outstanding. The dinner came with potato & vegetable sides. The service staff was attentive & very helpful. Adelmo stopped by several times during our meal for friendly conversation - he is a delightful host. We will return soon and I highly suggest this excellent retaurant!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Adelmos! We were seated upstairs at a romantic table. It is a very small restaurant which made it feel more intimate. Service was impeccable and the food was out of this world fabulous! The lobster bisque soup is a must and the lobster ravioli was the best ever! Everything tasted fresh. Fabulous wine list. We weren't rushed at all and enjoyed taking our time enjoying each course. Will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic waiter, Patrick, who was very attentive and knowledgable. The menu has enough variety to please any diner. The wine list is more than adequate. Two of us ordered the same pasta dish while the other two in our party had fish, one of which was the special for the evening. Desserts were decadent and worth every calorie. We will certainly return!

After a lifetime in Chicago and Boston and growing up in an Italian family the move to Dallas resulted in the loss of the real Italian culture we have always enjoyed. We are on a mission to find acceptable if not great Italian food and Adelmo's was our first stop. There is much to like about this place and I was initially encouraged. The small two story building is old and quaint reminiscent of some places in Boston's North end. The place was packed and the vibe was good and we found out the owner is actually Italian from Tuscany. The food was mostly very good but unfortunately the service was well meaning but incredibly slow. One elderly waiter had responsibility for over the entire second floor with some 2 dozen people. A bus boy and very occasional help with a large group made wait time between courses unconscionable. Luckily we met the nicest couple next to us and the time passed more easily. Proscutto e Melone was fabulous with the real deal Parma ham unmistakable. The Tortellini ala Bologneses was good but the sauce was a bit watery. The veal scallopine limone was an incredibly small portion but tasty. Bread and olive salad were excellent, the wine list was fine although a bit pricey and dessert we never considered given the hour. As I said we'll give it another try perhaps not a Saturday night next time.

After the opera on a Sunday afternoon went here for dinner. Great place - friendly staff - good service. Had a lobster ravioli appetizer, osso buco, and cannoli for dessert - all very good.

My wife and I have eaten at Adelmo's for the last 3 years as an anniversary evening. This particular evening was simply made quite memorable by the wonderful service and food. Adelmo's is a small restaurant and lends itself to enjoy a good conservation without shouting. Our table service was most professional and attentive. Our server was the owner's daughter...... he taught he well! Most helpful with dinner selection and as an added effort, when we compliment the salad dressing she brought out a container to take home!!!! It was that good! Our dinner consisted of gnocchi and calamari for starters. The main dish was was a Dover sole. Mine was a Mediterranean ssuce and my wife's was a lemon caper sauce. As it was our anniversary, a very wonderful desert magically appeared....they know how to create a very nice environment for their clients. I was told they would be moving to another location. Hope they take the magic with them!!!......They move in January. Give them a try before they move! I know you not be disappointed.

My husband and I dined at Adelmo’s for the first time ever on May 8, 2007. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and were looking for a combination of good food, good service, and a pleasant ambiance. We were very pleased with Adelmo's on all counts. Our appetizers were delicious – stuffed mushrooms for me and tomato/mozzarella salad for my husband. Dinner salads were equally good – my Caesar had an especially smooth dressing. My husband chose one of the evening’s specials as his entree – a bacon-wrapped pork chop that he said was excellent. I opted for the rigatoni Bolognese, which was good but not exceptional. For dessert, we split a crème brulée, which was wonderful. Along with our meal, we had wine, then coffee, then cordials, all of which were top tier. What made this meal truly exceptional was the service, which was perfect. Our water glasses were always kept full, plates were removed promptly after each course, and appropriate flatware was provided for every dish. The waiter was cordial and attentive but not intrusive. In addition, table settings were lovely, with white linens, fresh white roses and a candle on each table, plus a better grade of china, flatware, and crystal. The price was a little higher than the $20 per entrée listed on this site, with specials that night ranging from $23 - $29. Our final tab for two (including appetizers, salads, entrees, wine, dessert, coffee, and cordials) was approximately $125 before tax and tip. Given the great food and even better service, we felt it was money well-spent.

My wife and I went to Adelmo's this evening for Valentines Day. We visited Italy on our honeymoon this past summer so I thought a quaint, authentic Italian restaurant would be the right choice. Adelmo's was the perfect choice. Fantastic wine selection, especially if you like Italian reds, as well as a delicious selection of appetizer and primi courses. Handmade pastas and authentic bolognese was the highlight of the evening. We got the prosciutto di Parma and bufala mozzarella to start and I got the lasagna and my wife got the tagliatelle bolognese. DELICIOUS. Homemade tiramisu finished the night on just the right note.

This is the BEST Italian meal we’ve had in Dallas! Eliza, one of the owners, made us feel very much at home. Jeffrey, our server, was very professional, guided our choices beautifully, and made us feel like family. Tim’s Chicken Milanese was outstanding as was the Lasagne. Leave room for desert, as the warm bread pudding and the Crème Brûlée were excellent! Highest recommendations!

We (group of 6) from Fort Worth, had a great dinner here this past weekend. Its a puzzle to me why we don't read more about Adelmo's because the restaurant really does a great job and has been around for quite a few years. I cannot see why the press does not pump this place more because the food is just wonderful with a wide array of appetizers and entrees. We decided to try Adelmo's on the advice of a friend who decided that they wanted to try something new. We were tired of going to the usual haunts and leaving without much a sense of satisfaction. When you do an internet search for Dallas restaurants to explore new places, all you come up with is Stephen Pyles, Abacus, Mansion, blah blah. So we googled Dallas restaurants and searched and searched and came across these guys and are so happy we did. It's really a fun place with great variety and fun servers. This is our new Friday spot.

Very nice Italian restaurant. Great food and friendly and helpful service. The classic Italian dishes including Osso Bucco, Veal Marsala, Pasta Bolognese are all here. I had a special starter of heirloom tomatoes and burrata and then the sole as an entree. All delicious. Nice extensive wine list with many Italian wines but also French and Californian selections. Nice and quiet. Service was friendly without being overbearing or hurried.

Adelmo's provides a very intimate dining experience. The restaurant is small, and the ambiance is very "neighborhood" like--not fancy. But ten of us had dinner in their upstairs space, and while cramped, the service was superb and the meal was excellent. I think reservations are a must.

This was our first dinner at Adelmo's since has moved to its new location. A much improved atmosphere with pastel and white painted walls and a very comfortable sound level (conversational quite). Our meal was cooked and served very professionally. the Dover sole is one of their signature dishes and always good. the calamari is another dish done very well. The portions would lead you to consider this dish an entree. my wife and i have been coming here for our anniversary for several years and it is always a treat and now a special treat at the new location. The owner and family are always visible and assures each diner a pleasant evening and experience. i see a lot of local patrons (regulars) each visit! if you live in Dallas, TX and looking for a restaurant where you can talk to each other rather than "text" and good food and service; Adelmo's is you place

We hadn't been to Adelmo's in years, but the positive reviews on Trip Advisor convinced us that this quiet, good ristorante would be perfect for our twice-yearly adult children dinner. We have been to fancier places, but this time we were looking for less noisy, less crowded dining. I remembered the delicious Osso Buco from our last visit and that was the clincher. The very small restaurant was friendly and the service, though very leisurely was nice. The ambiance was great. The osso buco was pretty bad, though. Everyone else thought their entrées were good, but he occo buco was drenched in rosemary. Drenched, I tell you! I just Googled the recipe and rosemary isn't mentioned.

Fantastic experience, friendly staff from the minute you walk in, the waiters are attentive and knowledgeable , great selection of delicious entrees. Highly recommend you try this intimate Italian restaurant

Adelmo's has long been one of the best kept secrets in Dallas. The food meets every standard, the service is quietly effecient, the setting is exactly what you would expect in any European establishment, and the overall warmth is exceptional. Visiting Adelmo's last Saturday evening proved that the standard set by Adelmo so many years ago endures. The patrons of this restaurant are of every age group, ethnicity, and obviously very discerning diners. It's always a treat when you see a local television personality in this type of restaurant. Adelmo's is not about glitz and electricity. Adelmo's is about food, memories of a quiet evening, exceptional cuisine, and quiet unobtrusive service. If you are looking for Europe in Dallas, Adelmo's offers that experience.

Went here for Father’s Day 2021 and enjoyed a nice Italian dinner. Started with a Spanish octopus appetizer that was really more of a salad that included cannelloni beans and arugula along with the chilled octopus. Dinner was sole with lemon caper butter, potatoes and veggies. The roasted potatoes seemed unnecessary and the sole wasn’t as flavorful as hoped for. However, dessert was excellent with a cheesecake covered in Amarena cherries. Good wine list with strong Italian red offerings and wines from Other countries if you’re intimidated by the Italian wines.

We enjoyed a lovely late dinner on a Friday night. Enjoyed a fantastic meal and the server was attentive while not intrusive. Will definitely be back to this hidden gem.

A nice and not overly priced wine list. Great food, especially the fish specials. Service is most excellent.

1st time here and it was for DFW restaurant week. Eliza and Adelmo were so sweet and personable! Had a drink at the bar then got a great table near window thanks to Adelmo. Ordered Lobster bisque and Italian stuffed mushrooms, pasta bolognese and risotto w shrimp, bread pudding and creme brule. Everything was fabulous! Will def come here again.

A fabulous evening! Our waiter Fernando was top notch. A long time neighborhood restaurant. It is such a small quaint spot. Husband had the Fettuccini Romano. Smoked salmon on a bed of homemade linguini tossed with mushrooms and artichokes in a light cream sauce. I chose the italian sausage stuffed mushrooms marinara. YUM! The service was wonderful. Thanks! We will be back!!

Came here for a family get together just stunning food. It was very busy I had the lamb chops which were awesome. The salmon was good and the other meals met the expectation. Definitely a great place

We have been going to Adelmo's for 25+ years. The move to the new location required a period of adjustment, but it is safe to say that they are back and better than before. The new location has all of the charm and none of the issues from the old restaurant. The food was outstanding tonight and it was fun visiting with Lauren and Alieza. We will be back often.

My favorite place in Dallas to go solo and sit in the bar and have dinner. Service was outstanding and food is always excellent now that Andrew is back in the kitchen.

The pre- curtain "value menu" it is nice and indeed of value. However, once they know you are ordering from this menu they nearly shake their head in disgust. To be fair, there is seafood soup was the best I've ever had. Complex and flavorful, it was served hot and delicious. The roasted potatoes? Very good. The steamed vegetables? Meh. The chicken with lemon and capers and the salmon? Good but average. We were one of only three tables in the restaurant on a Saturday night. The owner, Adelmo, stood for the entire 1.5 hours at the one table and chatted with a couple there the entire time. He never once said hello to us nor goodbye nor thank you... and yet he was only 10 feet away the entire time! From other reviews I was expecting a warm and friendly greeting from Adelmo. I am a former restaurant owner and I would never treat any guest that way. When I called Adelmo the next day to share my thoughts with him in a constructive way he curtly replied, "we don't make everyone feel special. You come two or three times then we will know you and then we'll make you feel special." Ummm... Thanks, but no thanks. Call me old-fashioned, but I like to go where I am aknowledged and where my patronage is appreciated.
How is this not in the top 10!?!?!?
Everything was AMAZING!!! I chose the Sautéed Sole. WOW! My sweetheart had the Angel hair and Lobster. Words cannot describe how wonderful the food was... the crème brulé was on of the best I've had in ages. And the wait staff... they were on spot...there just enough to take care of business, but not intrusive. I will be coming back again.
