excellent all the way around...service, food, ambience. the GM spent time visiting with us and getting to know us. We didn't have reservations but were welcomed and loved our dinner and experience

Exceptional setting - stunning venue. Killer views and very stylish interior, also a great outdoor section overlooking the Sound. The food was extremely good - poke appie, scallops for main. Be aware the carrot cake dessert, while delicious, is enormous - one between two is more than enough. The price was also more than enough, but I guess you need to pay for a great experience. It has an annoying "we add 20% to every bill to make sure we can properly pay our staff, with the restaurant retaining all of the 20% - a tip, while appreciated, is not expected". I honestly find it hard to know whether a tip is appropriate or not.

The view is amazing! And the fireside bar is great - though it can get a bit toasty at times. Did not eat here so can’t comment on the food. Service at the bar was ok.

We went for a dinner on NY eve and what a surprise being charged 20 % service charge compulsory + taxes which will add 35 %. I started the year being robbed, totaly disgusting!

Came by for a late lunch and all five of us thoroughly enjoyed everything we tasted--cutting-edge tastes and combinations. The Crispy Cauliflower and the Sweet Pea & Goat Cheese Dumplings are definitely appetizers that we look forward to ordering again. The pan seared salmon was not only tasty, but a beautifully presented dish. The space has a number of well designed bars and sitting areas that are probably quite popular at night. We appreciated the floor to ceiling windows in the afternoon with the marvelous view of the water. Be sure to try the Carrot Cake dessert. Check out my photos for more details.

the scallops are big !!! very well cooked and tasty, and so is the rest with a magnificent view over the bay if you get seated by the windows it's noisy but it's because people enjoy it

This is my first visit to this brand-new restaurant that may become Belltown/Pike Place Market’s classiest location. My wife and I were just out for an afternoon walk on a warm, sunny day when we stumbled upon Aerlume. Earlier we had seen it and read a positive review in a local newspaper. We quickly decided to stop in for a drink and a snack. Their prices were on the high side but that was expected in a new, very attractive location across the street from the north end of Pike Place Market. They had a bar with about 8 seats, a few 2-person tables and about 24 seats around a square fire pit, all open for Happy Hour. They also have abundant tables in 2 dining rooms and outdoor space for the short Seattle spring/summer/fall. At 4:30 pm, the sun and it’s reflection off of Elliott Bay dominated the WNW View. In a few more days, the retired Alaskan Way viaduct will be removed and improve the view even more. Until then, you can go early to watch the viaduct destruction! We had very good drinks - a Manhattan and a martini. We ordered what turned out to be a delicious cauliflower dish in a light, corn meal batter with capers and raisins along with an order of 3 wonderful breads. They really hit the spot! Next HH moment, we’ll try their beef burger and fries and come back for dinner also.

Beautiful view, but Service was extremely slow. Food was good, but no coordination on how the courses came out. The entire restaurant appeared to be disorganized.

Certain prices, even if I’m invited for dinner, set an expectation with me. Food needs to look and taste a certain way and service needs to be professional and attentive. The prices threw me a little but again, I was invited so I don’t say a word. My food was average tasting and not worth the price tag. Beyond that, what really made me take points off here is the fact that the sommelier recommended a bottle that in turn they didn’t even have and the bottle we did pick, he didn’t know how to properly open. Ever hear of thumb and tilt? My grandfather taught me some basics, a sommelier should be a professional. We saw the waiter twice in the 2 hours we were there.

Stopped by for a quick drink with my Dad here, and we stayed for a bite. Newly open, amazing view of Puget Sound. Very cool open kitchen with private dining and a long terrace. We sat at the fireside bar and had a few martinis. A quick note: the local wine selection was well-curated. We enjoyed the ambiance and vibes, so we stayed and had a couple of the classic Aerlume burgers. For $15, a pricier burger, but well worth it! Big portions and awesome hand-cut fries. Highly recommend, and for an excellent option for a drink, a bite, and spectacular view.

Aerlume is a wonderful restaurant and dining destination, with fabulous views overlooking the Puget Sound towards West Seattle. Yet, I felt it was an establishment designed and intended for tourists, who will only return once or twice a year. Pricing was very high. Over $300.00 for two appetizers, two entrees, two desserts, one glass of wine and two cocktails. My gauge is always Paris, where I went before Covid, at least half a dozen times a year. Three hundred dollars will get you a Michelin one star dinner for orgasmic dishes that will blow your mind. In that sense, Aerlume has decor and service down, but the food wasn't even close. Good isn't worth 300 bucks. Great is. Mark, our server, was great. The view was great. But, food was good at best, and the pacing horrific. Aerlume is a great place to bring guests, to show them the beauty of Seattle. Locals know how beautiful Seattle is, and we don't need to spend over $300.00 to prove it to ourselves. BTW, the 20% service charge only partially includes gratuity. The servers only get 13% of that service charge. I left an extra 7% for our server Mark. He deserved it, but the extra only made our dinner more expensive. Aerlume may be worth it, but two hours afterwards, buyer's remorse has set in.

Second time in Seattle for a business trip and I was given a list of places to try but we settled on Arelume. I loved that my initial greeting with the hostesses was being offered to take my coat. In Arizona, while we rarely wear coats, we are forced to throw them over the back of a chair. This was a nice welcomed change. When seated we were immediately greeted and that started our great service experience. Everyone was great. We order the crispy cauliflower for an appetizer and I would highly recommend it! The sauce and these subtle bites of raisins.. not sure who put this combo together but it's amazing. For dinner, I ordered the goat cheese cappelletti which was really tasty. I wish I would have photographed the view but we were so caught up in conversation and enjoying the food and wine. The other great thing is that it was very close to other things down by the water ( Ferris wheel, Soaring over Washington, Post Alle) so we didn't have to walk far to enjoy the sights. I'd recommend for a business dinner, girls night out or date night. Price wise is higher but it's a great experience and well worth it. I will definitely be back to eat!

we sat in the balcony with great views. the food was good and so was the service. the scallops were superb

Good atmosphere and decor, although perhaps a bit too sophisticated and noisy depending on where our table is located. The food and service are good, though nothing particularly outstanding. The views are nice. Good wine menu, quite an international selection.

If you have a friend, who thinks they don’t like fine dining and you think they just need the right restaurant to convert, this is the place for you. I had salmon with roe and deliciously toasted breads and a delicious pasta dish with mushrooms and a full rich meaty tastes. Dessert was a goat’s milk cheesecake which was also a pleasure. Thing here is that nothing is too disruptive in it’s tastes, rather quite classic taste combinations (like strawberry and basil) combined with just enough extra flavours to keep it interesting but not alien. The portions, even the starters are large enough to be nourishing, so the culture of spoon size dishes is not here, also meaning that the check won’t be stellar even with wine and cocktails and you won’t be left hungry. Waiters were courteous and with good warm humor and readiness to answer my questions about the food and restaurant etc. Would recommed to anyone, especially thise who think they would never go do fine dining. Views are nice too, warm evening sunset with table outside would be my kinda romantic date.

The food was great, the view is great and the service was great but the dining room is incredibly loud. It is very hard to have a normal conversation. For a business meeting, the setting is not good. Personally, I feel some sound control is needed to make this a great restaurant in very aspect.

Aerlume is a welcome addition to the Seattle high-end restaurant scene. It's location is adjacent to Pike's Place Market with a spectacular view of the bay. The food was excellent. I started with the crab cakes, and then the short rib. I thought the short rib was perhaps overly fatty, and probably wouldn't order it next time, but that's a minor quibble in what was a perfect and romantic evening. Prices were reasonable, and the service exceptional.

The setting is lovely -- but they could really use some form of shades on the windows when the sun comes through. It's blinding and uncomfortable. The food was perfect. I had the Marinated Beet Salad and the combination of the earthy sweetness of perfectly cooked beets and creamy soft slightly salty cheese was luscious. The table shared the Crispy Cauliflower (divine). The Scallops were tender and sweet, the Gravlax a dish of perfection. Nice wine list. Our servers were all great, very friendly and knowledgeable. Big plus is they are willing and able to make many dishes GF and vegan. On the down side, we waited a long time for initial cocktails and wine, and then waited a very long time between courses (20+ mins between appetizers and the main). Equivalent of three bottles of wine for 7 people, and we ran out of wine before the main was served.

Food and service were great. The view is great, especially since Seattle's waterfront is opening up. Lunch time menu is small, but has great choices.

The fall seasonal menu was being introduced the night we visited. After the warm and gracious greeting, we were seated quickly. Each of the 3 appetizers were generous portions, beautifully presented and delicious. The tuna poke was exquisite, tender, fresh, flavorful and addictive! We shared an entree, it too was a very large portion. This first impression was lasting and certainly a stellar performance. Bravo!

UPDATE 5/17/2021: I sent an email to management regarding my concerns below. Maggie, the Managing Executive Chef went above and beyond to make sure my concerns were taken care of. We would be happy to give Aerlume another chance. ................... 5/5/2021 I would like to preface this review by saying that the ambiance and the food of the restaurant is spot on. It's so delicious, and you get a great view of the water. The rest of my story is not so pleasant. I made reservations in advance for my grandmother's birthday. I put in the instructions to be asked to be seated by the water, in the pictures on the website, it looks like the restaurant sits next to the water, or at least there is a view of it, so that's what I meant. Earlier in the day, I got a phone call from someone at the restaurant (female) that said she wanted to confirm my reservations and also had a question about my request to be seated "by the water". She said, "we aren't on the water, we are few blocks up, but I can give you a seat by the window" I hesitated and thought about canceling our reservations, but didn't. So, I said sure that will work. When we got there, the restaurant is very beautiful. There is a little firepit in the middle, and many people were dressed up (in fact my party dressed nice, but I felt we were a little under dressed). I had noted that it was my grandma's birthday, and they had a little note on the table for us when we got there, I thought that was a nice touch and she loved it. Then things started to go downhill, our waitress came over to our table. She came up and asked us what we wanted to drink, but it was pretty off putting because she talked SUPER quiet, like literally whispering, and it wasn't because she was wearing a mask, she just talked super quiet. No one at my table could really hear or understand what she was saying because the restaurant was kind of loud, and my grandmother is also hard of hearing so we had to repeat everything to her that the waitress asked us. We all ordered, and waited for our food, for what felt like eternity. I mean I understand it's a nice restaurant, and that nice food takes time to cook, but this is not the first time I have been to a nice restaurant, and the time we waited, seemed like a really long time to wait for food. Once we did get it, the waitress brought it over to us, as she put down each plate, she tried to tell us what each entrée was and list all of the ingredients, but again, no one could hear what she was saying. We ate our food, and realized that we needed to hurry up because we were going to miss our ferry over to Bainbridge Island where we were staying. So, I asked for the check. The waitress quickly brought over our check, and when she did, pointed to the bottom of the check that explained a SERVICE charge had been added to each of our bills. The blurb talks about the service charge and how it goes directly to the restaurant and none of it goes to the server. Also, that gratuity is not included. After she ran our cards, she came back and brought us them back with a pen to sign then. We discussed about how to handle it, signed our bills and started to get up and leave. THAT'S WHEN THE MOST BIZARRE AND UNPROFESSIONAL THING HAPPENED. As SOON as we started to get up and motion that we were going to leave (remember, we already paid), the waitress RUNS over, and almost knocks me over, AND REACHES OVER US TO GRAB OUR SIGNED CHECKS. They had been folded over, and SHE OPENS THEM UP AND LOOKS AT THE AMOUNTS. My interpretation of this moment was that it seemed as if she was looking to see if we had TIPPED HER, on TOP of the service charge. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Never in my years on this earth, even at the lowest ends of restaurants have I witnessed something like this. Not to mention, during this exchange, she had grabbed my grandpa's credit card as well that he hadn't put back in his wallet yet, because again, we were just getting up from the table and getting all of our stuff together when she came over and basically tackled me for our signed checks. We all stood there in shock while we watched this happen, and poor grandpa had to ask her 3 times before she gave his card back to him, and she was reluctant to give him the receipt! On the way out, my boyfriend stopped one of the other servers and told him what happened. His response was, "We do that because upper management wants us to be make sure that the service charge is explained to the customer". SHE HAD ALREADY EXPLAINED IT TO US WHEN SHE DROPPED THE CHECK OFF. SHE DIDN'T NEED TO DO IT AGAIN. She also didn't need to be rude and open up the checks that we had signed in front of us. I was APPALED that a restaurant as nice as this was behaving this way. IT WAS SO TACKY. Overall, aside from the food and the view of the sound, it was a terrible experience thanks to our terrible waitress. I will be writing the corporate company an email as well, if this is the way that they think is an acceptable way to treat their diners, who have already paid for their meal, that's appalling. Paying $300 for a meal, and receiving service like this, is flat out unacceptable. Get it together Arelume.

I don’t know what the Belltown area of Seattle is typically like, but post-COVID Seattle is run down and sketchy at best. I would not have felt safe navigating the area alone. Aerlume, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise. The service was second to none and the food was amazing! Beautiful decor in a location on the water that was a refreshing change from what we saw elsewhere in Seattle Would highly recommend if you are ever stuck in Seattle..

...and unlike Miller's Guild (which went downhill REALLY quickly) this one is as good as its El Gaucho big brother. The M.R.S. and I were there in late January, after she read something online. Glad we made the trip, will definitely be back. First, the decor is beautiful. Modern, romantic. very nice. Excellent view as well, mildly spoiled by the interior lighting, which reflects off of the very large picture window, making it difficult to see through. The service is well intentioned and polite, but a bit spotty. Right now I am more than willing to attribute that to working out the kinks, new establishment and all. The food, on the other hand, is great. We opened with bread (which I think we were charged for...be advised), which was fresh baked and delicious. We then shared the grilled octopus, which was great. For the main, I had the Short Ribs, which were very tasty. My have, on the other hand, had the pork chops, which was fantastic. As in after two bites we decided we were absolutely returning fantastic (in fat, had plans to go this week but they were disrupted by the winter weather). We also had a side of the mashed potatoes, and they were top notch as well. No dessert for us - we were just to full - but based on the starters and the mains, I am confident it would at minimum meet expectations. Pricing seemed on the higher end of fair...definitely less than a meal at El Gaucho...I seem to recall $225 all in (tax, tip, Bread, one starter, two mains, cocktails for each of us, plus two glasses of wine). Unlike Ela gaucho, the mains come with sides on the plate, so with a bit of effort a meal could easily be kept at under $100 a head all in. No valet parking as best I can tell, and the restaurant is very close to Pike Market, so street parking might be tough. No problems the night we were there however. We definitely would consider Aerlume a new favorite, and will return. Let's just hope we don't have a repeat of the Miller's Guild situation, where a wonderful first visit degraded to a "do not repeat" disappointment by the third.

Dining with friends, we shared both small and large plates. The food is all regionally sourced and grown on a nearby farm. The food was excellent. Highlights included scallops with seafood wantons, deliciously marinaded salmon, black cod. Octopus came inexplicable with a lamb sausage. Large plates were >$35 so really a high end/expense account place. Wine list 300-400% mark up with some choices missing but generally a good range (but no Charles Smith, one of the local wine champions). Room has beautiful views and warm fires, giving it the feel of one of those lovely Inns further along the coast. Service was friendly if a bit slow.

I had a business dinner here recently but the friend who was in from out of town. We had drinks at the bar, with another friend, and the bartender was excellent and extremely helpful. The great service continued once we got to our table. We decided to skip appetizers, preferring to have room for dessert. I ordered the grilled pork chop, and thought the the pickled rhubarb and bourbon sauce were exceptional. The grits were the perfect accompaniment. The pork chop itself was a little tough and chewy, which surprised me considering the ownership of the restaurant. My dining partner got the roasted halibut, and that was perfectly prepared, moist and tender. He particularly liked the lemon chili spinach side dish. the restaurant has a great wine list and the wine steward was able to steer us to a perfect wine to fit both of our dishes. For dessert we tried the Meyer lemon panna cotta and the salted caramel pudding. The panna cotta was light, slightly tart and slightly sweet, a perfect finish. The pudding was a little heavier, which was to be expected, but was also beautifully prepared. Aside from the slightly tough pork chop, this was an excellent meal.

Everything about dining at Aerlume is truly spectacular. The atmosphere, views, service and recipes are WONDERFUL! The location is also easy to get to!

Beautiful new restaurant in Seattle near the waterfront feels very upscale. The food was very good bot not "Holy Crap Wow" good. It's a small choice menu (to me) and a couple of items were very good...tasty... but a couple were just OK. Service and setting were both very good.

Helpings were extremely generous, the food tasty and attractive. Service was excellent, the ambiance lovely for our New Years Eve meal. Definitely will return!

Was recommended this restaurant for its views and we were not disappointed. Came here for my birthday dinner. The staff were attentive and surprised me with a small happy birthday plate. Great food and atmosphere all around. Will be back thanks

We had a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent and the views of the Puget Sound at sunset were stunning. This was an excellent way to end the week.

No matter your party size, you will will be obliged to pay a 20% service charge, no previous advice on the menu or from the staff, that's the bitter surprise you get when they bring the bill. With no way no modify it (we asked) is it even legal seriously ? If the experience was memorable it could help to process it but it is actually just average even disapointing. Not bad products but averagely cooked and not so tasty.

I can not criticize one dish that we ordered last night from crispy cauliflower to tender octopus to perfect liver mousse to scallops to short ribs

I've recently dined at this establishment and would like to speak with someone about the hosts performance. I've been left flabbergasted by her lack of professionalism. Her behavior does not belong at a restaurant that is trying to exude a fine dining image. She by far ruined our reservation, our anniversary, and overall dinning experience. She gave up our table which we were early for to have happy hour drinks. Not to mention the rats running across the front of the patio where we dined for happy hour. Although I do have have to say Adam our waiter during happy hour and the other manager mock were great. The automatic added tip is annoying because it's shared and the horrendous hostess/event coordinator doesn't deserve it let alone a job at such an establishment. To be honest the happy hour charcuterie board was great but an owner should know the face and attitude that greet guests when they walk in the door is just as important. If it weren't for the hostess this place would have gotten more than a one star. Too bad she turned down a $400 meal and definitely a shame after dining at one of your other restaurants AQUA last night and having such a positive experience. She's one bad egg and ruined the whole meal. So if you wanted to be treated with attitude then this is the restaurant. Not to mention the insane prices! 2 happy hour drinks, a charcuterie board and a $70 bottle of wine came out to $160 so not worth it. What also is horrible is with covid they only have about 4 happy hour tables 2 of which are out in the front with no views and rats running back and forth in the planters.

We were all looking for a nice restaurant to have a business dinner and selected Aerlume. Beautiful interior and friendly service. Highly recommend!

The drinks were verrrry strong! The food was okay. I liked the set up and the bar chairs were awesome. The decor is very nice. We stopped in for happy hour, the food was just ok. Nothing to brag on. The servers were awesome and very attentive. Nice view of the lake although construction was happening and distracted the view. However nice place to visit.

We went there for lunch and stayed two hours just to take in the magnificent view of the Puget Sound. The food was unique and service excellent.

Delicious and excellent service! How fortunate to walk in in a Saturday afternoon! Great service, fabulous ambiance and the food a 10! My wife and I had a couple cocktails and split a burger and fries that came highly recommended.. the Efrain Burger. Wow, it was by far the beat burger we have ever had. (The burger was the winning burger by a chef and his winning burger was put on the menu) A must when visiting Seattle!

It was our first trip to Seattle together and we were looking for a romantic night out on the town. We walked around Pike Place for about an hour searching for a seafood restaurant and came across Aerlume. We were greeted by Hannah and our first impressions of the open kitchen and gorgeous views of the ocean were remarkable. Our overall experience was amazing. We sat around the fire table and had a perfect view of the chefs in the kitchen. Our server, “T”, was lovely and always made sure we had everything we needed. Sarah treated us as though we were regulars, despite the restaurant only being open for 3 days. The food was delicious and of high quality, and the wine paired well with our seared black cod and jumbo scallop entrees. We look forward to our next visit to Seattle and can’t wait to dine again at Aerlume!

I’ve been to Seattle many times, and must have walked past this place for years! Slightly set back off the main road near pike place market, but when you go inside it just opens up into a spacious and modern dining experience. Beautiful views over the water and a great atmosphere. Food was delicious. Porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection, and the delicious salty, sweet and sticky caramel and marshmallow dessert in a jar was a great way to finish the meal.

Great service and ambience but let down by quality of the food. Seafood in a place this should be fresh. My scollaps were nearly off and my wife's fish also nit so bright.

We wanted to dine somewhere near our hotel, so we felt like we accidentally found a treasure right in the heart of tourist territory. I was uncertain of the number in our party, so when I asked if they’d have seating for a party of anywhere from 4-10, the hostess couldn’t have been more gracious asking only that I confirm an absolute number 30 minutes before arrival. She took my phone number and then, surprisingly, called just to confirm the number I’d given to make sure they had it right and they looked forward to our arrival. We arrived to find a great table near the open porch with an amazing view of the water and great breeze. Our waiter was as wonderful as the hostess. He explained every dish, knew the menu and unobtrusively managed our table of eight with ease. We ordered appetizers for the table, so we were able to taste a little of everything. The octopus got raves, but the simple cauliflower caught my taste buds off guard. Perfectly cooked and just the right balance of spices to compliment made me want to come back just to have the dish again. I’d inquired about dietary restrictions and he quickly pointed me to the best dishes (avoiding the awkwardness I sometimes dread as staff go back and forth to the kitchen drawing unwanted attention to my needs with work colleagues.) Yet another pleasant surprise occurred when he delivered the appetizers - I’d ordered an individual dish I knew I could eat, but he explained the content in all dishes and pointed out that there were several that I could also taste. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that small gesture. My meal was equally stellar and every guest said the same about the food they enjoyed. Eight out of eight diners gave thumbs up for service, food and view. Truly can’t think of anything to fault. I loved it so much I asked for the manager because I thought she should know how amazing her staff were. That said, go on a day when you can enjoy the view. Not sure the ambiance would be the same without those open doors to the view and air.

Overall, a really average experience. The service, the food, service and decor were all middling. Went there with high expectations based on the reviews, but would not go back and would not recommend to others.

Gorgeous view, lovely decor, good food. Service is way too slow. I got the rosemary brioche bread for my appetizer - underwhelmed by it. For the main course - the garden special (vegetarian) was tasty. The grilled cauliflower should be served with a steak knife though because I couldn't cut the stems with the dinner knife. For dessert I got the carrot cake with pistachio ice-cream. Sooo delicious!!! My biggest gripe would be that it took way too long for the waiter to take my order and bring out each item (even the bread!). Worth visiting for sure though...even if only for the view and ambience!

My daughter and I stumbled on this restaurant during our vacation to Seattle. We were tired, hungry and underdressed for this amazing restaurant. I was a little shocked by the dinner menu prices & expressed my concern to the waiter. He explained the menu & serving portions & that there was plenty for us to share. So, we split a salad and the chicken entry & dessert, and it was just perfect for both of us. We enjoyed the wonderful food and service. Dining here was a highlight of our trip.

We enjoyed a family celebration at Aerlume, and were impressed by the splendid water views and well-designed layout and ambience. Also the very friendly, efficient service. Each of the starters was delicious, with the chicken liver mousse a standout favourite. While the main courses were also well-presented and flavourful, the scallops with black truffle cauliflower were rather disappointing – with little evidence of the truffles. But overall, a thoroughly pleasant meal.

Great central location with very good food and wine selection. Not a cheap dinner but very worth it given the quality of the food. We ordered family style (5 entrees for six of us and with side dishes we were stuffed).

We almost past this restaurant by as we were headed toward a pink restaurant (again). I’m so glad we stopped. Our entourage with baby in tow was welcomed in, and seated with a fantastic view of the Sound. We came for drinks, but stayed for dinner. Everything was superb from the wine (they had my favorite wine ever on the menu) cocktails, the food. But what makes this place different is the detail payed to furnishing the restaurant. The dishes, the crystal ware, the seats, it all said Money! Definitely going back, hopefully for a wonderful dinner, but even if we just sit at that beautiful bar it would be fabulous. I took a couple of photos but no photos can do it justice.

The food was average for the price but the atmosphere almost made up for it- especially since the tab was picked up by my husband's company. The Halibut was nicely cooked but under seasoned. Most of the others we were with felt similarly. We watched the sun go down over Puget sound, in our private dining area. That was spectacular!

We stumbled upon Aerlume and consider ourselves blessed! This farm to table restaurant is absolutely fantastic! Great for date night, business meetings, or a upscale dinner dripped in comfort that will please your palate. We tried corn soup and crab toast, lettuce wraps, bleu cheese caramelle pasta, pastrami short rib, butter scoth pudding, carrot cake, and even customized a special dish just for me during our two visits. Can you tell we enjoyed our dining experience?! PNW hospitality left something to be desired from southerners. A salute to the hostess, servers, chef, and manager! We'll be back whenever we return to the area. Sitting is spaced out due to COVID restrictions, but it felt good to have adult interaction.

This spot is perfect for a casual night out. The drinks and appetizers were divine! The Brewberry Boba is a must try and the view is spectacular. We will absolutely be coming back soon!

While looking around the Pike Place Market area, we found Aerlume and made dinner reservations for a Saturday night. The restaurant appears to be popular with the younger crowd as we are retired and were definitely in the minority. The menu has some different items and would bear some examination before deciding to make reservations. I ordered an octopus small plate which very good and my wife had a fresh peach salad, also delicious. However, the best dish was their carrot cake...the best we have ever had! One important reminder: they automatically deduct a 20% service charge which covers the servers’ health insurance. The views are not that good so come for the food.

Wonderful ambience but very loud during dinner hour (staff agreed), attentive service but the cuisine was mediocre and expensive. Recommend a drink and possibly an appetizer. Given poor food value eat somewhere else.

If you only had the opportunity to select one menu item, it is absolutely imperative that you get the carrot cake wIth pistachio ice cream! The other food was good but this dessert is insanely incredible. It took 56 years of walking the planet before I discovered the best indulgence EVER-and I’ve had many. This is just next-level AMAZING! My entire table of eight guests agreed.

The best thing about this place is the location. It’s right by Pike Place with a decent view of you overlook the construction vehicles. The drinks were so so and we shared the lamb. Both of us got sick going into a long weekend!

Took our family of 8 for post-mothers day to Aerlume. Was impressed with the lovely view of the sound, the fire pit in the bar area and the general feel off the space. We had some of the best Octopus we have ever had for appetizers and the other apps were very good too. We had a melange of items but the short ribs looked real nice as did the Scallops. The winner however was the fried chicken. This was not KFC chicken! It was crispy, light, not greasy, and savory. It came with great sides like gem lettuce and Risotto. The plate was huge and we all took some home (this was the half order can you imagine the whole chicken?). Desserts fantastic as well. Very pleased and will be back!

Business dinner on the outdoor patio of this classy restaurant. Spectacular wine list. For the first time in my life I tried a local Aglianico. Great dishes served and perfect Service. Great in everything

Thank you to the team. The food was amazing as well as the wine. The service was incredible and you made a special evening even more magical. Thank you all.

A+ for a beautiful restaurant, great views and creative dishes. B- for overcooked and excessively salty salmon and soup that wasn't hot throughout. F for two dishes we ordered that never even arrived...yet somehow made it on to the bill. The restaurant was packed and there was a large noisy party in the private room, which led to a sense of chaos. As the evening wore on it seemed the kitchen and wait staff were spinning out of control. We hardly saw our waiter and had to flag down other service people to get our water glasses refilled. We understand staffing is tough in restaurants these days but the service was so bad as to be laughable. We probably wouldn't run back but wouldn't dissuade anyone from visiting this restaurant either.

The $35 three course restaurant week meal at Aerlume was excellent value. Reasonable, if not generous, portions - we didn't go away hungry. Service was friendly but professional; the waitress knew her stuff. The view from our windowside table was worth the price of admission; we were glad we dined early in the evening. Noise levels can sometimes be a problem in restaurants; this was not the case with Aerlume, as the tables were given adequate spacing. Away from restaurant week, we'd find this restaurant somewhat on the pricey side, but we did appreciate number of reasonably priced reds on the wine list..

We finally made it to Aerlume and were so impressed! As locals we have lots to choose from and Aerlume is now on our favorites list. For visitors I can’t imagine a better place to end a day at Pike Place Market or other downtown tourist activities. Maggie and the kitchen delivered amazing dood dish after dish! The halibut ceviche, peaches, lettuce wrapped crab, scallops, New York strip, and Salted caramel pudding were all amazing! Trish and Drew provided great service with that Seattle feel of friendly quality. Fun to be there and see the viaduct coming down but it will be even better once it is gone!

What a treat! The view is amazing and the fire pit inside of the restaurant is a nice touch. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The portions are quite large, especially after you get the amazing starters. I think the butter had crack in it. So yummy! The drinks are fantastic and a little quirky. I highly recommend this place. Pricy but nice for a special occasion.

Aerlume (a play on heirloom) lies peaceably at the far end of Seattle's famous--and crowded Pike Place Market. It is an oasis of calm beauty. You can sit out front amidst the lovely grasses, or inside overlooking the waterfront. If you arrive for the 3-6 pm Happy Hour--the greatest food & wine bargain in Seattle--you will be encouraged to sit in the front. Everything is excellent but the Happy Hour starters--Crispy Cauliflower, Marinated Beets, and Fresh Peaces--are fabulous. Our wonderful server, Clayton, suggested wines that matched perfectly.
Not a memorable meal!
While the view was undeniably pleasant, the overall dining experience did not meet expectations. Service was passable but unremarkable, and the food, unfortunately, lacked distinction. From the appetizers to the dessert, nothing stood out as particularly memorable. The scallops were overly spicy, the halibut was average, and the chocolate dessert failed to impress. Our entire party felt the meal was underwhelming, compounded by notably slow service throughout the evening. Given the many excellent dining options in town, we would not choose to return or recommend this restaurant to others.
