Nice place with room to improve

We visited this place to celebrate my sister's bday. The location is located in a strip mall type of location with ample and free parking which is great! We made reservations the day before and upon our arrival we were quickly greeted and seated to a very large semi circle type table. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and food with our young and charming waitress, but we don't know her name, because she never mentioned it to us. The drinks came first and they were delicious. The two appetizers were served next and tasted awesome. The only issue was we had our table visited several times by different employees verifying our main dinner order. The first time was did we want all the orders to come out at the same time!? The second interruption was that they had run out of one of the items that was previously ordered so we had to change the order to something else. The third interruption was how did my brother n law want his salmon cooked (rare, medium or well-done?). We believe these are things that should have been covered during the initial order taking. The second round of drinks that we ordered took a little longer to get the waitress attention, however once ordered, it looks like she forgot because after 10mins we had to remind her. Finally the drinks were served after a few more minutes. We also had to ask for water to be served, apparently that's not automatically served. At around 8pm, the place quickly got packed, we assume due to the live band. The Latin music was good as was the singer, but way too loud. The trumpet and trombone were way over the top and loud for this small space. We had to yell at each other just to have a conversation. We also noticed that our table was located adjacent to the restrooms, and every time the restroom door opened we could smell the stink. I would strongly advocate management in using a stronger bathroom deodorizer to neutralized the smell. The food was good, but pricy. We spent over $500 plus tips. I also don't like the electronic system they have for presenting the bill and paying for same. They stand over you, holding the gadget, while you are inserting your credit card, and select the amount of tip. I still gave them 20%, but it was a little intimidating. The manager or owner did come by our table which I thought was a nice touch to ask how every thing had been. She stated that they had only been opened for two months. So I can see why there are still a little rough around edges and some improvements needed.

Very expensive

Natural lemonade, without flavor. Very expensive Colombian club beer The food is delicious but very small portion for the price. There are many better Colombian food places.

Best Colombian restaurant in Miami

I order ribeye and it was delicious. It really surprised me cause it's not a typical dish from Colombia. So this means this restaurant offers quality food. Parking is free, is pet friendly, it has a house band and has algo kids experiences.
