Aliki continues to shine year after year. The staff, especially Michael, is warm and welcoming. The food is simply wonderful. Ignore the neighborhood. Donāt expect anything fancy. Aliki serves great Greek cuisine. We return as often as possible.

The moussaka was terrific!! The lamb shank was excellent and gluten free. If we lived in LA we would eat here every night.

We were staying at the airport and walked to this fabulously authentic Greek taverna. The gyros was delicious the staff very friendly and ambiance was casual and clean. This is the perfect option if near LAX.

Great food great service no complaints, I will come again when I'm overnighting near LAX. Family run so you know it's good

The restaurant closes very early in the evening, but he offered us a takeaway. Good moussaka with macaroni. Baklavas too sweet

Moussaka had beef rather than lamb, so I had the vegetarian option. It was wonderful. Side salad was also very nice had tables set up for solo diners, which, in my experience, is very unusual. Staff friendly.

Great food and the servers are awesome. I would definitely recommend the meatballs as an appetizer. The lemon chicken is great too.

The food was very good, fresh and authentic. Everyone was very nice. The parking has tow away signs and it's on the side of the next building.

Great little authentic Greek restaurant. Small, not much on ambiance but food is dynamite. Real-deal Greek: keftedes, dolmades, superb lamb, you name it...its good.Very reasonable prices, friendly staff. House red is great. Easy walk up Airport Blvd from any of the LAX hotels. Far and away the best eats in LAX hotel area!!!

This quaint restaurant serves a long list of Greek favorites. Try the mousaki or chicken souvaki. Outdoor seating and friendly service

Had the Greek salad. It was great. Also had the chicken souvlaki. Amazing. Iād be back in a heart beat

We looked for a restaurant near LAX, not happy with hotel cafes and restaurants. We found this family-run Greek cafe. Not fancy but reasonable in price and most important, tasty Greek food. I had the lamb souvlaki and it was great.

Surprise near LAX: a very well prepared and delicious authentic Greek food. Service was attentive and accommodating too. Prices are reasonable but on the high side for near LAX. Would I return to dine here? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes.

Not the best Greek food I've eaten in the United States (little bland and greasy) but none the less was still good and in a random location. I was staying in a local hotel so needed a break from the usual food - this was very welcome! Seemed very authentic in service - polite and efficient. Fair few people in there so must be popular with the locals.

Leaving LAX, Aliki's popped up as a nearby restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owners who kindly showed us to our table. The Falafel sandwiches and chicken shwarma wraps were delicious. We enjoyed side dishes of humus with pita bread and lemon potatoes along with an appetizer of grilled feta. The baklava was worth every calorie.

We had a 5 hr layover at LAX so left the airport to meet family for dinner at Aliki's Greek Taverna (10 mins down the street). If you ever have a long layover I highly recommend this. Restaurant was so accommodating with our luggage and everyone was so sweet/helpful. We got a handful of recommended apps to share and everyone ordered their own entree for dinner. All 6 of us left full and happy with our choice. A great family owned restaurant to support!

Nothing special, tasteless, but very expensive. Had the lamb special, but was disappointed. Cherry juice was okay. Ambience was like a diner. Service was acceptable. Located by one of LAX's runway.

I was hoping to find a restaurant within walking distance to the hotel I was staying at and this had high reviews. Informal casual place with a friendly server. Gyro sandwich was good and filling (lots of gyro meat) and the pita bread seemed fresh. My only issue is that it was priced much higher than what I am use to, just under $15. The sandwich comes with a choice of fries, hummus or lemon potato. Typically, at that price point, it would be served with a salad also. Food was yummy enough I would go again if I'm close by.

This is a true dive restaurant where pretentiousness should be left back at the nearby upscale hotels. Aliki's has the feel of being with family & the food is made with great care. My moussaka was delicious and satisfying. Worth the walk from the nearby hotels but be diligent & safe while walking at night.

Fantastic local spot when staying at hotels near LAX. Great food and owners/staff were very gracious.

After a brief walk from my hotel, I was promptly seated and quickly served. My server recommended the pastitio. What a GREAT suggestion! Lasagna is always a treat, but the ample serving seemed to disappear faster than usual. It seemed like I was mopping up the last bits of flavor with my pita in no time. It was a great dinner in an unassuming environment.

An overall good experience! The pita sandwich, pasta and salad we had was good, just like the service. The atmosphere was alright. Negative point: due to many airplanes landing and taking off it was pretty loud. Also a little pricey but for the location close to the airport it was fine.

Gathered family/ friends for a West Coast reunion while flying thru LAX. Proximity to hotel/airport was perfect. The greeting by the family-owners was warm and welcoming. Extensive traditional/non traditional Greek menu. Sampled Dolmades grape leaves, Tzatzik, Taramosalata and Falafels, plus Lemon Soup, all A+. Mains included roasted Lamb, Mousaka and Lemon Chicken; again all A+. Been to many Greek restaurants across the country; this was truly one of the best. Dinner for 6 with two bottles of Santorini white wine cost $260. GO TO THIS PLACE!

In the area on business for the week and looking for something close by. I walked here from the nearby embassy suits not expecting much from the area and outward appearance. I was pleasantly pleased with the quality and authenticity of the food. Staff was friendly and made great recommendations. Price is very reasonable. I will definitely be back.

We tried this spot for the first time after a summer trip to Santorini. Everything is fresh and very authentic. This time we started with an assortment of appetizers and continued with different Gyros to round things out. The place is always packed, we will keep going back. Thay have a selection of packaged goods to take away and they also do a few local farmer's markets on the weekend too!

We went here based on reviews and werenāt disappointed. We started with baked feta, which was delicious, followed by sea bass and lamb shank as mains, with a bottle of 2018 Athiro white wine to accompany it. If you are staying near LAX itās worth the short walk. Leave the hotel restaurants behind; you will be happy you did.

Happened to see this place when getting car rental. Had dinner there before flight next morning. Did not disappoint. Small place but has 20+ tables. Very family-like atmosphere. The menu selections were very large but went with Gyro plate which was excellent. Service was great as I had a waitress and then an waiter that always came by and made sure my glass was full of soda. Would make this a definite stop anytime I am in the area.

A quick walk from the Hotel to this great little local restaurant. The reviews have not been wrong, we loved every aspect of our meal.

A co worker and I visited since it was nearby and had GREAT reviews. We are so glad we stopped here for dinner. The food was amazing. I had Pastitsio which I think is now my new favorite food. I just hope I can make it at home close to what I had at Aliki's. The service was kind and attentive. The atmosphere was authentic. The building is aged and dated but what they lack in decor/building, they make up for in taste.

Read the reviews before we came although mixed. Just had mains of lamb souvalki and Athenian chicken which takes longer as baked. Lamb excellent but chicken overcooked- although the flavours of the spinach and feta were good I was disappointed. Also disappointed as although the waiter was topping up other diners water he ignored us. I couldn't eat my meal as the chicken was tough so left my plate as though finished ie in knife and fork together but it wasn't taken away until I asked for the bill about 15 minutes later. We then had to wait for that and it was placed on the table after they had given the neighbouring table theirs first and they just said here's yours. I don't normally write reviews but this isn't what I would expect from Greek people who I have always found very friendly and welcoming. My last holiday in Kefalonia was fantastic and still keep in touch with the staff there

Really delicious, authentic Greek food. Every dish we ordered was awesome - canāt wait to come back for another visit!

Myself and several co-workers were staying near LAX and looking for somewhere to eat for the night that was not the hotel. Quick YELP! search brought us to Alikis, and it was a great choice. Two co-workers went with the kabobs and went with the gyro plate. Great flavor! Staff was very accommodating to us given the large group (there were 12 of us in total. It's ratings are well deserved.

We read about this place online and figured it would be a good restaurant to have our last meal in LA at. We were right It looks a little shabby on the outside, but once your inside it looks exactly like the small little family restaurants in Greece. The atmosphere is very cozy and it the place was filled. They made a table for us and took our order. To our surprise we got out food pretty quick, eventhough it was so full. The food itself is amazing and by far the best greek food Iāve had in the states. Iām not even going to begin writing down the name of the desert I had (let alone pronounce it) but look for the most difficult to pronouce desert and order it. It is simply delicious. Lastly, the staff was very nice and was always in for a little chat with everyone. Definitely a place we will come back to when we are in town again!

Authentic Greek with great service. I had the moussaka, gyro, chicken souvlaki, and the filo dough pastry whit cheese in the middle. Next time I in the LAX are, I will eat there again.

My husband and I ate here for dinner and loved it. This place is within walking distance (10-15 minutes) from multiple hotels on the north side of LAX (West Century Blvd. and Airport Blvd.). The restaurant is actually on the property of a Super 8 on Airport Blvd., just a few blocks north of the airport. The menu is extensive. There are many Greek wines and beer to try. My husband ordered the Chicken Gyro Sandwich with a small Greek salad. I ordered the Lahanodolmades dinner. We were both very pleased with our choices. The portions are huge. The ambience is simple and there's a warmth to it. The people who run the place are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place to travelers who are in LAX for one night and want a hot, delicious meal within walking distance of their hotel (north side).

Owned and operated by a Greek family, who obviously know how to prepare great Greek food. Small and unassuming across from the Hertz lot at LAX (Arbor Vitae and Airport Blvd). We were staying at the Renaissance and didn't have a car waiting for a flight the next day. Didn't want to take the 20-30 min hike to In-N-out and back and nothing on the menu in the hotel grabbed us. Someone had told me about this place years ago and it was time to try it. About a 10 min walk each way and got two spectacular salads to take back to the hotel. Their menu is big however and next time we will probably eat in. Fancy no, delicious yes!

Went to Aliki's Greek Taverna for dinner on my last day in LA its located close to the airport. It is run by a Greek family with traditional greek food! The service was great, very friendly staff, and the food is Amazing!! Highly recommend!!

My husband and I went for supper. The hors d'oeuvres both the spanokopita and the mixed cold appetizer platter was amazing. The various dips were fresh and tasty. The lamb chop entree was the best I ever had !! The Greek salads are tasty and lovely.... the howners were very friendly and helpful

Great Greek restaurant. Enjoyed my dinner while staying at a near by hotel the night before our flight. What a great find!

Highly recommend this restaurant, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere but above all the food was absolutely delicious. We had souvlaki, falafels, gyro wraps, and a chicken pita sandwich, it all came with generous garnish, tzatziki and rice even enjoyed a glass of rose wine. I would definitely eat there again when staying at LAX airport.

We were staying at the Motel 8 next to this restaurant and were delighted to discover the food here was superb. Eat here at lunch time - souvlakis were just what we wanted. Fresh, tasty and plenty of filling. We were also entertained by the charismatic staff to boot. We then had our evening meal there. Lovely, fresh Greek salad and keftedes / pasta, followed by delicious bakalav and coffee. The prices were reasonable, the restaurant was really busy and also seemed to do a roaring trade on takeaway. Thoroughly recommend this eatery if you are in the area.

This restaurant has great food and is run by the sweetest family. We will go back when we are in Los Angeles.

Iām a Greek from Boston & was so happy when I found this restaurant that I wrote a glowing review on Trip Adviser. So whenever Iām in LAX Iām sure to make time to eat there. Last Thursday night I went in around 8pm. There were two waiters working. An older pleasant man and a younger dark haired Greek man with a heavy accent. Iām not sure what was going on but that younger guy was not at all pleasant to us and basically put a cloud over the experience. He barely spoke and was very abrupt. Noā thank youā or eye contact when I got my change. So make sure to avoid him if you have a choice. Not at all my previous experience at this place to be treated rudely. We all have our days so I wasnāt up for asking him what the problem was.. but I guess I took it personally that he put a damper on our last night in LA. The lemon potatoes are great!

After checking around for a decent meal near the airport, we were fortunate to find this small family run restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It was so nice to find a place that served real food - fish, meat, veges, rice etc, not just chicken fingers fries and burgers. Long live Aliki's!

I enjoy the food, and I found the service to be quite good, able to keep ordering various dishes through a long lunch. Other advantage, close LAX.

Was staying in the adjacent motel and popped in for dinner Think itās kinda funny we flew for 12hrs (from the U.K.) to find not only the best service but the best Greek cuisine we have ever had! The Gryo was amazing full of flavour, cooked to perfection and a good portion as was the pasta dish my husband had. If you are staying near here you must go!!!

If you're at an LAX hotel and need to escape, you can walk here. Good Greek diner. Good prices. Worth the walk, or even a drive if you're not nearby.

My favorite way to get a āfreeā dinner. I get a hotel room near LAX. Instead of parking my car. I return it to the rental company and stop here on the walk back to the hotel. Itās right at the hertz drop off! Its such authentic Greek food. I had the Mousaka and she had the Gyro. We shared a Greek salad and took a piece of Baklava back to the hotel. Parking saved $35 šGreek meal $45 ... seriously, itās a great meal and dinner for two in one of these hotels will cost you way more than $45 š

We had some extra time before a flight from LAX. Since airport food is expensive and normally lousy, this little place was a pleasant surprise. It is located near the car rental area by LAX. Service was friendly, and the food was good. You received large portions, and the food was fresh. They also sell some of their products at the local food market. We will be back on our next flight out of lax.

This Greek restaurant had all the makings of a great experience. The food was outstanding and presented in a very pleasing way. The service was fast and friendly, almost like you were in the owners home. I our recommend it highly and will go back every chance I get.

Surprised to find this oasis of deliciousness only a long block from my hotel. Fried feta and gyro power.

I found this restaurant on trip advisor while looking for a place to eat near LAX. Excellent dinner. It's kind of a little hole in the wall place, and looks to be family run. It's not fancy, but makes up for it with the food and service. I can't wait to fly out of LAX again so we can eat here

I am Greek and eating here was like eating at a relatives home. Everything was home made fresh and delicious! The spanakopita was delicious, the giro fresh. The pastries are all made on the premises and tasty. Fresh food at fair price. The whole experience made me happy and weāll be back!

I went to the farmers market in Manhattan Beach and came across this vendor selling several fresh homemade Greek food items. I purchased sun dried tomatoes, marinated olives and the best Feta cheese ever. Wow!!!! I looked at the label and found the restaurant location where I was having dinner the next evening. I had a glass of Retsina to begin this food adventure. We ordered saganaki as the appetizer that was incredibly delicious. The lamb on a stick with rice and green beans with a side of their home made yogurt was a very tasty meal. For dessert we ordered their house special which is a type of bread pudding inside phyllo dough layers that was amazingly good. I canāt wait to go back and try other items on the menu! š

By the time we arrived at LAX after flying in from NY, picked up our rental car, and made our way to the Residence Inn we were starved. We were in the mood for something more than subs or burgers, but we didnāt want to venture out into the traffic in search of something. A quick search on TripAdvisor and I pulled this place up. It doesnāt look like much from the outside, but it was heavenly. The food was deliciousā we had chicken kabob plates and a falafel plate. The planes roared by as we feasted. The family that owns the place was chatting enthusiastically in Greek while we ate, and by the time we left there was a line to get a seat. Two thumbs up!

This small unassuming restaurant near the airport car rentals surprised me with a wonderful Greek dinner. The ambience is casual but the food was a treat, and though short staffed that night, service was still good.

We stayed at a hotel near Los Angeles Airport and found this wonderful hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Just fom it's outside looks we would have probably not gone inside, but the food turned out to be really authentic Greek and very good.

Itās all about the food! Which was really Good but we were also made to feel very welcome. If you like good Greek food this is the place

Found this on TripAdvisor near the local hotel we were staying. Food is very good. I agree no atmosphere. Reminds me of a diner. We had the gyro plate and it was excellent. Also had some baklava. A little different in taste but excellent. From the airport, you can even take the shuttle for Avis or Hertz because it's right next to it. Don't tell Avis or Hertz I said that.

This is a great Greek Restaurant just minutes from our LAX Marriott Hotel. We come here every time we travel through LAX. Would highly recommend the Moussaka $19.99 with a Greek side salad for $5.00. Great service and friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend

There were six of us having dinner there as first-time diners. We all agreed - everything was delicious. We had moussaka, fish, and lamb with Greek green beans and a yummy Greek yogurt with honey for dessert. And we wanted to lick our plates clean. Yes, itās an old store but it had character and itās own charm. Our waiter was fabulous- part of the family that owns the restaurant. Sorry we donāt live here so we can become regulars. Definitely give this place a try!

Great spot for good food. Service was excellent and lots of choices. Take home hummus too. Smells were divine.

This is certainly not a destination restaurant but four of us had a very pleasant meal. It is the only non-fast food restaurant that I could locate that wasn't part of a hotel in the LAX area. Parking is a little bit of an issue. We had four different dinner entrees, the lamb shank, lemon chicken, chicken souvlaki and lamb souvlaki. All were very nice, particularly the lamb shank. The green beans were pretty overcooked but the rice and tzatziki were fine. A nice pita bread accompanied. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Greek beer at about $5/bottle. Several types of Greek wine were offered at about $35/bottle. Overall a very nice experience.

What a find the other reviews do not do it justice. The food was amazing and the service was great. Many authentic Greek dishes and a great selection of Greek wine I will have to come back.

Aliki's was a five minute walk from our hotel. The restaurant was rather busy, but we were greeted and seated quickly. We chose the gyro sandwich and the chicken souvlaki sandwich, both with the Greek lemon potatoes. It was all excellent. My husband said he could have made an entire meal of just the potatoes they were that good! Because they were so busy it was difficult to get the waitstaffs' attention to order dessert, so instead we got two pieces of baklava to go when we paid our bill. It was also amazing. I would definitely recommend the walk from the LAX Marriott for a meal at Aliki's.

Don't let the look of this place fool you....Far from Fancy, but they do one thing very well and that is serve perfect, fresh hot Greek food at very fair prices for California! This is a regular stop for me when ever traveling in and out of LAX airport, as it is very close to the airport, being across the street from a few of the rental car pick up/return centers such as Hertz, etc... I have eaten here many times and the food is always flavorful and fresh. You will not make any friends here with the waitstaff, but after all, you are there for the food, I should hope! On a recent weekday lunch visit, I received good service along with an overstuffed Gyro and incredibly well seasoned fries. Don"t miss their Baklava for desert as well. Looking forward eating there again..... Overall Rating ~ Very Good.

Quite possibly the best Lasagna I've ever tasted! So full of flavor! The owner is really nice too and is from Athens so you know it's authentic.

Great friendly service food was fantastic went for dinner on two occasions . Very good menu choice and food and drink prices very reasonable.

Great food Everytime. I am on a Paleo program and this high protein moussaka made the grade. Eggplant and meat...I just don't eat the pita bread. Hits the spot and the seasonings are wonderful. Service is fast and friendly.

This is the most authentic Greek restaurant we have been in since we lived on Cyprus 20 years ago, the food is excellent, you can taste the quality of the food and not the dirty oil and greasy grill as in most establishments. The owners are so attentive and helpful and make you feel so welcome. It is well worth a visit, you will not be dissapointed.

This small unassuming restaurant served up the most incredible Gyro I ever had. No like the fast food ones you get at your local places but a real Greek Gyro and large. It was just incredible. You may have to hunt for it a bit. It is hidden among all the giant very expensive hotel restaurants near Los Angeles airport but worth every minute. They also have great looking almond cookies up by the cash register that I missed but I am sure they are out of this world.

Excellent restaurant in the hotel/rental car/garage area near LAX airport. Traditional dishes perfectly prepared. Good wine selection. Recommend the salads, any lamb dish and just about anything else.

We landed at LAX during rush hour and wanted to eat dinner near the airport before driving anywhere. This gem was recommended on the internet and we loved it. Exceptionally flavored great food.

Stuck overnight at LAX and tired of standard overpriced hotel food, so walked a couple blocks on a concierge recommendation. Solid diner atmosphere and very good Greek food. Recommend the moussaka- very good. Happy to visit again on my next layover.

This place is in a weird industrial part of la but itās close to the airport which is convenient. Great fresh food. Very good menu of very Greek dishes. Owners and service was very friendly. I assume this is a family run place. Hidden gem in the bowels of Los Angeles. A Lille higher price than I would hope but very authentic flavors.

Since we returned from our trip to Greece a year ago we've been looking for a go to Greek restaurant. Aliki is the place. The food is terrific (get the gyro plate), and they have a small market.

Went to dinner here while at a conference in LA. Walkable distance from the strip of LA airport hotels. We were so pleased. It is a small family run restaurant and the food was beyond delicious. What really made the experience was the helpful host who gave us recommendations and was very friendly. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Our daughter just returned from time in Central America and her first request was to eat authentic Greek food - we picked her up at LAX and found this local place on Trip Advisor! Let me tell you it did not disappoint! Within minutes of our arrival - the place totally filled up! Saturday afternoon and it was packed! The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! We had the falafel, Gyro platter and Gyro sandwich and the hummus - all outstanding! The food came out quickly and we had a great experience!

Probably not the *best* restaurant you will see in Los Angeles, but it's close to the airport for a casua meal. The food is authentic and not expensive, their calamari are lightly and nicely fried, not the industrial thick battered ones like seen in most American restaurants.

Fantastic Greek food at a good price. Came here for dinner after a reallllyy long flight from Australia. It is in a dodgy looking part of town, but the review brought us in. Was really good lamb and lemon potatoes. Greek beer and awesome friendly service. Highly recommended.

The Greek food was really really good. We met out of town friends there because the restaurant is close to the airport and they were taking a red eye home. So, I just selected a nearby restaurant recommended on Yelp. I don't think the food was "amazing," as indicated on other reviews, but it certainly was well prepared and tasty. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that the service was very slow. In defense of the management, it was an extremely busy Friday night, but it took a long time for one of our party to get their food, and it seemed that getting coffee etc just took forever. I think that they would do well to hire more help for busy weekend nights.

If you are in the actual LAX neighborhood, or you should make a trip to be in the neighborhood just to go to ALiki's! The food here is amazing - from the appetizers to main entrees/sandwiches to dessert it is fantastic. We enjoyed a dinner here after driving by many times after picking up our rental car at Hertz (just across the street). The building itself is very common, but the food inside is worth the stop. Be sure to have the sizzling feta cheese appetizer and you really can't go wrong within any of the recommendations from the owners who work in the restaurant. Be sure to save room for dessert too!

I don't live in CA anymore, but I flew into LAX and was looking for a restaurant close by. Fortunately we found this one and now that I'm back home I keep thinking about the delicious food we had there and am longing to go back. Trying to think of a reason to fly back to LA just to eat there it was that good!!

There aren't many choices near LAX, this is one of them. The food was good, not great, good selection of Greek wines, and diverse menu. Waiter was attentive and colorful. Knowing what to expect you won't be disappointed. We did a large selection of appetisers, hot and cold.

It is not so easy to find Ailki's. It is small. You park in the motel (next door) lot and you look. It is not big at all. It also is not pretty. The tablecloths could use replacing. But no one is going to care because the food is the best. We love Greek food, but sometimes have a hard time finding it in Los Angeles. You can get boring Greek food, but finding the real deal is not an easy task. Aliki's is anything but boring. The menu has a lot to offer, from salads to, pasta, and great delectable desserts. Aliki's is a must-visit for any one in LA who must have great Greek food. The Horiatiki salad with ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and "eliki" olive oil is amazing and the Pasta Ala Greco topped browned butter and garlic is wonderful. Try the Baklava and Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts for desert. YUM. The place is very clean and the service is super nice and friendly. There is something for everyone.

Service was excellent in this restaurant. Portions were of good size which made for great late night snacks back at the hotel. Lamb shank was extremely tender and perfect seasoning. Lemon chicken was equally well done. Baklava was very good.

The chairs were disgustingly dirty. One of the forks still had food on it. The hygiene of the people who serve us was very questionable-fingernails not clipped with dirt beneath them. They were told NO feta cheese in the salad since three people were vegan and either they put it and then remove it or the person who handled the food did not wash his/her hands while preparing our order. At the end they put $21 gratuity on $121 bill automatically, because there were seven of us. We live in Las Vegas and we understand people in the service industry depend on gratuity; HOWEVER, you must provide the proper service in order to deserve it. We still paid the bill with gratuity for excellent service included lol. How this joint got such a high review is beyond my imagination. In short, the food was passable and service was unprofessional. My advice stay away from this place. We were lazy and didnāt want to go to far from where we stayed and payed the price.

We stayed at the embassy suites on Airport this weekend for the Neil Diamond concert. We needed a close restaurant to eat before the show and we both like Greek food. It's a little hole in the wall, but the food is fantastic. They were quite crowded on a Saturday at 3 in the afternoon so we ate outside which is right in front of the motel rooms. We had falafel for an appetizer which was very good but I think came out a little crispier than intended. I had the moussakah which tasted like homemade...very flavorful and delicious. My husband had the kabobs which he raved about. Everything was very authentic and we loved it....just wish they were closer to our home!

Oh what a luckout. Staying 2 nights in adjacent Skyways hotel and this is part of it. So glad to hit genuine Greek fodder. Lamb souvlaki to die for. Greek wine. Baklava as it should be and not sodden sugar. Generous serves. Lotsa pita bread. I could eat here for a month but my bathroom scales wouldn't cope. Welcoming friendly staff. Solid meal for two around 80USD incl house wine (go for the red). We tipped around 20 each time, it was that good all round.

Great experience. Very nice guy. Good food. I spilled my water all over the table and the guy was very polite to me. hahaha

Great authentic taverna. Friendly host/server. Delicious lamb shank and chicken souvlaki with Greek salads. Great value !

Location: near LAX Parking: there is a parking lot on-site Atmosphere: functional based - in and out, not a lot of ambiance Staff: running busy but generally polite Menu: all Greek Meal: tiropita was fresh and tasty Prices: average Visit Again: if I was wanting Greek food or couldn't find another place open - NOTE their operating hours vary Recommend To Friends: maybe

This is the kind of place we are told to avoid. Paint is crumbling the fans are dripping with dust, there are broken deli cases that serve no useful purpose... but the food was wonderful. The service was friendly and the people who were working there seem to love sharing their food! We will be back as often as we can. There are a lot of things on the menu to try.

The food at this place is amazing some of the best food we have ever eaten. Highly recommend. The lemon oregano chicken was awesome. We walked to this location from our hotel for a Saturday dinner, and we would have went back on Sunday for more, but this location is closed on Sundays.

Not sure why this restaurant is #38 out of 10,000 in LA!?The food is not bad but not good either, a bit on the greasy site. Prices are on the high side for the food quality. Service is friendly. There are many other holes in the wall in LA that can make it in the top 100. Not too many in the airport area though.....

I haven't been to LA in awhile, so it was great getting a trip where I could visit my favorite restaurant. They have remodeled a bit and the place looks great and has more space for seating. Also new to me was the beer and wine selections. But by far the best thing is the food. Everything tastes authentic and fresh, especially the feta. They also had a bigger selection of deserts. Anyone who likes Greek food need to stop by.

Went for dinner after visiting the Getty. Got there about 6.40 on a Friday. Ordered 15 minutes later and got the appetizer nearly an hour later. We werenāt in a hurry, but a couple of people seated near us were not best pleased with their wait. The mixed appetizer was pretty good. The lamb shank and lamb roast were also pretty good. Loved the lots of garlic implanted in the roast. Nice lemon potatoes. Had the santorini wine which also a good choice. All in all not bad. Somehow not great, but a bit better than average.

We found this place not far from our hotel near the airport after a quick trip adviser search, thanks people ! An old school Greek restaurant with good service and great food. My wife and I shared a Lamb / Beef Gyro plate. Was plenty for two people. A fresh squeezed orange juice and Greek coffee. Service was great and food delicious, well worth a try.

Was really looking forward to eating here after the reviews but the falafel plate was pretty tasteless and really over priced. I wouldn't return or recommend eating here. Such a shame! Nice staff. Table was dirty though.

from the outside, the taverna doesnāt look like much but please step inside for the best humus ever. there were probably six kinds to chose from. we had the garlic humus, greek salads and gyros. the owner and her staff made us feel very welcomed and went out of their way to help us decipher some if the traditional dishes. if you are ataying near LAX please try it. note. they are closed on sundays to be with their families

Great authentic Greek experience with a small neighborhood feel near LAX. Walking distance from many LAX hotels and close enough to LAX to make it a possible layover visit. Great food, service, and environment including waiter singing along the background Greek music.

Lamb souvlaki and lemon rice was delicious, but accompanying green beans had been soaking too long. Nice spices with Greek salad, but some lettuce was a little dated. Overall good quick lunch fare.

Homos and chilli sauce to rave about. Fresh hot pita, free refills on drinks and great service. Decor basic but you are here for the authentic food. Chicken / lamb souvlaki awesome

Great Greek salad at this very low key restaurant in LAX area. Walking distance from Renaissance LAX hotel. The Greek Salad with chicken was very tasty and came as a generous portion.

This is my first visit to this place. The service was excellent, waitress very king. And the food was very good. Also desert and coffee is very good. Itās expensive, I expended $30 dollars for one person. And yes, I will return and eat excellent Greek food again.

Have been coming through this area for years and never tried this little Greek gem. Had the mousaka which was beautifully seasoned and had the right balance of ground beef, eggplant and potatoes with light bechamel sauce. For $17 this was a delicious bargain. I will definitely be back!

The dinner was flavorful and the ingredients looked fresh. We did not wait long for our orders. Like other European venues, they expect you to take your time and will not hover to bring you bill. That's refreshing. They also have plenty of desserts available to take with you. Parking is a challenge and we walked from our hotel. I'm a novice when it comes to Greek food and stuck to the basics, though their selections are extensive.

The restaurant itself is nothing wow or attractive however the food is so tasty! I had the typical baked Feta Cheese served with olives and tomatoes and for the main a good portion of Moussaka... I love Greek food and was craving for some lovely and tasty food so I was very happy! It is locate don the side of the road close to a petrol station so you might need your GPS for the localisation but it's worth the trip... ENJOY!

Next to super 8 hotel Nice quiet Greek restaurant, good food and reasonably priced. Enjoyed the mousaka and tzatziki

Dropped in for dinner, while staying at an airport hotel - early flight. We found the food ok, service slow, restaurant not busy and portions small, while prices were high. Not sure we would return. We had a lamb shank dinner and Moussaka with extra meat. Lamb greasy, very small portion. While the Moussaka was a little better, not a lot of taste. We both left hungry and disappointed based on other reviews.

I stopped here for lunch and was really glad I did. It is not much to see from the curb but do not let that stop you. Great Food and great friendly service. I really enjoyed my lunch (to go) but they had a nice seating area inside. I will be back and would really recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for a good meal at a decent price.

The food was better than i was expecting. It was delicious and very flavorful. It was my first time having Greek food and i felt completely satisfied and filled after having food. The service was also top - notch, and very friendly. Overall it was great dinning experience for me.

Weāve stayed at the Marriott and as a large family eating at the hotel is a $200 robbery, average and expensive food We looked for a different place to eat and found the Alikiās, what a good find The six of us had a fantastic dinner, everything we ordered was fantastic - we tried the salads, the Moussaka, the pasta - every single dish was very good The service was also very attentive If youāre staying in the airport vicinity, do yourself a favour and donāt stay at the hotel but go to Aliki, youāre not going to regret it

Chose this restaurant because it was within walking distance of my hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the service quick. It has a very casual diner feeling, with simple decor, but the food was very good. Nice change from eating at the hotel.

We found this place on TripAdvisor and enjoyed our lunch. Located just down the street from the Renaissance LAX. We shared a Greek salad, gyro, chicken and lemon potatoes. The potatoes were excellent, as well as the gyro. We would definitely eat here again.

Average food at above average prices. Mousaca was fine, not nspecial. Greek salad also ok. Service happy, quick.

Dropped in based on reviews along with my family. A very friendly staff and quite good food. Our only quibble is one cannot get hot tea; sure, you can get lukewarm tea they call hot, but not hot tea. I had a wonderful whole grilled sea bream here. I recommend it. ( it did remind me of fish we had in Greece) Not fancy, it's a casual place, but it's s good choice if near LAX.

Visited with family for dinner. Reviews were very promising, so decided to give this place a try. One block walk from Renaissance, and we were there. Service was extremely slow, took 15 minutes to get menus, and we were not getting any attention and had to ask for everything. I am pretty sure it was selective since people that cam after us got everything quiet fast. Food was ok, not bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values their time, and will never go back even though I am a very frequent visitor at LAX.

Nice place, no luxury but very warm. Food is amazing . Close your meal with Gold Key with a Baklava as desert. Donāt miss it on your next LAX trip.

If you want delicious, authentic food with welcoming staff - this is your place. Our waiter made fantastic suggestions and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is casual with a 'family business' feel to it. The food quality is truly amazing! I'm quite certain this is about as authentic as you can get in LA area. Prices are good for the serving size and service is attentive. Definitely my new restaurant to eat before heading to LAX airport! (And they have some very cool art work on the walls. Weird angle in the photo sorry guys).

Wonderful experience! We were on a long trip enroute to our new home in Hawai'i and wanted a good meal, but were also intrigued by what looked to be an authentic Greek menu. Our expectations were happily exceeded. We were greeted with a charming space, a great menu selection and friendly, welcoming staff providing attentive and warm service. To top it off, the meal was delicious. What a joyful experience. THANK YOU! / Efcharistó!

Had to make a LAX run and based on the reviews, we stopped at Aliki's looking for a Greek food fix. I rarely post any form of negative review but I was that disappointed with this first time experience. I had ordered Pastichio, which is like a Greek lasagna. The meat was completely void of flavor, the noodles were extremely soft/mushy and the bechamel sauce watery. I can only guess, based on what I tasted was that what I was served was frozen at one time, defrosted and then served. Even my side order of Greek salad was disappointing as the lettuce was also very soggy with pieces already turning brownish in color...the opposite of fresh. I will say they appeared to be somewhat busy and I do see all the great reviews so maybe it was a one time situation? I just wish I could have given a 4-5 star rating but when you fail at salad and an entree....:(

First of all, you'll never tell from the outside that there's going to be a huge and varied menu with so many fresh choices. The staff is welcoming, the chicken souvlaki and gyros are fantastic, the hummus is fantastic, and it's all served so quickly. My only regret was that we were staying in a hotel so I didn't have a chance to come back and try more options. You can get some pretty amazing seafood dishes as well.

Stopped in one night when returning to the hotel near the airport. It was nice and quick and the location is superb if you are staying at a hotel near the airport. I had the gyro plate with rice and salad. The greek salad was exceptional and the rice was pretty tasty. Most important was the gyro meat as it was tasty and tender. I must say the taziki was also good as it tasted homemade. I always get lemons on the side and after squeezing the lemons on the meat and salad for me all was well! Being from Chicago it was a nice treat. the service was fast and they were kind.

I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki, marinated in wine, olive oil, garlic and amazing spices served with their rice and green bean-y type veggies. My daughter ordered the Beef Gyro plate...BOTH were oh-SO-delicious!! Dessert was amazing. The waiter recommended the Galaktoboureko, layers of filo filled with custard. If you're a bread pudding fan - this is for you!! I never thought that I would find an a satisfactory dessert of my liking at a Greek restaurant, but I was wrong! Parking is tricky. You can park in back of the hotel next to the restaurant...Super 8 allowed me to park inside their lot since they weren't busy. I'm so glad I found a place to wind down after a drop off or pick up at LAX ~ definitely worth the visit!

It was busy when I walked in for dinner but i was greeted and seated immediately for one person. I wasnāt planning to ask for mods to my entrees, but it must be a common request bc they kindly offered to sub sides. I saw no need to. The eggplant dip app was exceptional. My chicken kabobs were moist, perfectly seasoned, and came with the most amazing green beans. I look forward to coming back. I think the pricing was inline for the quality and proximity to airport.

After an absence of a few years, I was pleased to return again to Aliki's recently three times in one week, for both dinner and lunch, and it was as good as I'd remembered it. The chicken kebob plate was excellent and filling, and the gyro plate was a favorite of the others in our party. This time we discovered spanokapita, a Greek spinach pastry, which we ended up ordering as an appetizer at each of our meals there. Aliki's remains a good casual dinner spot, and it was nice to find it still going strong, considering the scarcity of non-hotel restaurants near the airport entrance. Dinner for two usually came to just under $50, which seems to be about the average for the area.

Great food, close to our hotel feels like a local restaurant. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

Aliki's has wonderful and delicious items that can enhance a meal on so many levels. I purchase their food at my local farmers market, and I consider the products that I choose as food staples. While I currently purchased their food, I've been purchasing for years.

Near the airport hotels. Take time to walk to this wonderful little Greek cafe instead of wasting your money at hotel restaurants. Great food and service.

As the years go by, Aliki continues to shine. The food is outstanding. The wine selection is composed of interesting wines we haven't seen elsewhere. Don't expect fine dining. Expect great food served by friendly, enthusiastic folks. Shout out to Michael for always making us feel welcome.

If your are in a hotel around LAX , then don't go and eat in the faceless hotel bistro , take a short walk to Aliki's Taverna . This small and chaotic place is the real deal , just like we have dined at in Greece , the menu is authentic and with a glass of Greek wine just perfect ! Priced very reasonably it is the only way to go in such a corporate , sterile district .

They serve your typical greek food. It's nothing amazing but not bad either. Considering the options in the area, this is a good choice. But I definitely would not rave about it the way others are.

We are followers of trip adviser and have used it numerous times with much success. However reviews of This restaurant are terribly misleading. The place is far from clean. The food was very poor quality. The servings small in size for the cost. The cost for two with no alcohol was around 70$. If you go DO NOT expect much then you wonāt be disappointed.

During a layover in Los Angeles, my wife and I had an early dinner at Alikiās. We were served by the owner. Service was prompt and attentive. I had the gyro plate. It was very well cooked and quite satisfying. True, it is not as inexpensive as a Dennyās but the food is very good. My wife and I had triangles of baklava. The preparation differed from my sister-in-lawās excellent recipe but was also very good. Highly recommended for an LA stopover.

Well, the climates of LAX and Greece are a little bit similar, so I decided to give this Southern food a try. No regrets at all, I'd visit them when I'm in town!

We had checked out the menu earlier in the day as neither of us is familiar with Greek cuisine outside of baklava. We were warmly greeted at our initial contact and again when we came in for dinner. The atmosphere was very casual, no doubt related to the meaning of taverna. The place was quite busy for a mid-week but we were able to be seated right away. The meals were very good, grilled sea bass and chicken kebabs with seasoned rice, green beans and a serving of yoghurt. All very good, green beans a bit average, but over all an excellent meal. And to top it off a bit of the best baklava I have had, others might disagree but for my money it was excellent. Price was very reasonable when compared to what we are used to paying in New Zealand for similar style meal.

This place was attached to the Super motel I was staying at, and you could tell at one time it was the original motel's coffee shop. I didn't have great expectations, but tried it on my last night in town, as I had turned in my rental car. I should have eaten here earlier in the stay as I would have been back. Really good food and reasonable prices.

Fabulous Greek restaurant, friendly and great food all a few minutes walk from the big hotels ( for us the 4 points Sheraton). A real treat and very reasonably priced.

Situated on the corner of Airport Blvd. and Arbor Vitae, this is a small restaurant offering terrific Greek food. The Greek salad is fresh, the spanokopita yummy, and i have yet to be disappointed by any of the main courses. If you like authentic, reasonably priced Greek food in an area of the city that is starved for quality, this is the place to go. Seriously, this one could hold its own in the Plaka. Now, if they would only add Kourtaki to the wine list...

My sister suggested we try Aliki's Greek Taverna. It was conveniently located close to our hotel. The restaurant is not fancy, but they are more on the expensive side. Paid almost $90 for the three of us. Food was good for the most part. Really enjoyed the hummus. Gyros were also pretty good. Worth trying and deciding for yourself.

How lucky we were that this great Greek restaurant was adjacent to our accommodation! The food was delicious! We loved the Baked Eggplant Dip (maybe a little too garlicky for me). The mousaka had layers of melt-in-your-mouth potatoes with a perfect bƩchamel sauce. My husband's gyro plate was a winner with the meat falling apart but lightly crusted.

Greek restaurant conveniently located close to LAX. And hours open for lunch and dinner. Had delicious falafels: chicken and beef, with unique potatoes in a yummy sauce. Generous size filled us up. Combined with a glass of wine and a beer, perfectšš Prompt and friendly servicešWe highly recommend.šOnly a few parking places in front, but just drive into an off street past the car wash and short walk to the restaurant.

Really good selections of Greek dishes to taste - great to share with a family. Convenient location for hotels near the airport. Friendly staff.

We got here by reading the reviews, and by trying to find vegan and vegetarian options, and it was a great choice. We had a one night layover in LA,spent the evening in the airport area, and we searched for healthy places where me and my husband could have dinner. Itās the perfect place if you want to try the Greek cuisine. They have so many vegetarian and vegan options, that it took me a while to choose. The restaurant was completely full,we had to wait a little bit for the food to get to our table, but eventually it was worth it. Highly recommended.

We savored every bite of our dinner--spanakopita, falafel, meatballs, tzaziki sauce, and salad. So good! Don't forget the baklava. A real gem.

You get get a good meal that is filling and its reasonable. But we've gone here a few times over the years and its not as good as it used to be. Also, the wait staff if a bit hurried though nice. Simple place, not the cleanest. Real Greek food though. You can catch the bus to Hertz and then walk across the street if your at the airport on Layover.

Thought we wanted pasta after a week of eating out, turns out, Greek food was the perfect solution. We were exhausted and just wanted EASY and Alikis just happened to adjoin our hotel. Place was packed but 1 cook juggled numerous orders and our calimari arrived before the fantastic Greek spagetti dish and schwarma we ordered. ALL were delicious. With 3 Mythos beers, the total w/ tip was w/i reason (appx.$72). Would definitely recommend.

The best Greek food you could find in the area of several counties (we drove from Santa Barbara!). We recommend this place highly. Mousaka and tzatziki were authentic and delicious, with the right amount of all ingredients, which is rare. There are options for everyone: whoever just returned from Greece and is craving reminders (like me), vegetarians (my kids), long term fans of Greek cuisine (all family), or food to go (we took several containers!). You can even practice your Greek language skills here with a very friendly staff. The owner was wise enough not to waste money on the excessive contemporary decor, and created a simple and cosy environment.

found this great little restaurant right next to LAX through TripAdvisor. Wonderful surprise, great food, wonderful host!

This review is not meant to overly criticise this eatery, but to just put it into context when making comparisons to other venues which warrant a higher rating. Iām mystified how it achieves 4.5. Visited on a friday night and Initial welcome was warm, venue was quite busy, but many 4 seater tables were only occupied by 2 people. Offered a table by the entrance, which was not to my satisfaction, even though they made no attempt to make available a table in the main dining area. Not an overly decorated venue, simple decor and menu fairly basic. Chose haloumi cheese, but they didnāt have any, so went for Keftedes, meatballs. Side Salad was minimal, a couple of lettuce leaves at best and yoghurt. Acceptable starter. Main course Chicken souvlaki with Greek salad was disappointing, as quality of chicken ok, but salad was ruined by addition of too much oil, and salad not fresh. Hoped to pick up with the baklava and Kataifi with ice cream, which were very acceptable, but for the overly addition of cinnamon, which totally swamped the flavour. So overall a very disappointing visit and for $40 including a beer not value for money. IMHO the chef needs to consider his over use of accompaniments.

I often travel and stay near LAX. I dread it, because I feel trapped with hotel food. I was so thrilled someone suggested Aliki's Greek Taverna during my last trip. I enjoyed it so much I ate there 3 times in 5 days. The food was all freshly made and well seasoned. They accommodated our group with individual receipts. The service was prompt and efficient, important as we had a tight lunch break. Aliki, the owner, was so delightful and welcomed us like old friends. The portions were generous. And Vegetarians have a good selection, Vegan would work too. I will go back every time I am in the area.

When I asked the receptionist at the Super 8 Motel on checking in about a restaurant in walking distance for an evening meal, I expected her to say the usual burger joints, I was not expecting her to point to a Greek restaurant adjoining the motel! A great meal for two - Hummus served with bread to start then chicken souvlaki. Excellent. I was initially concerned by the wipe down tables and polystyrene starter plates but the food and service were excellent.

Excellent stop for lunch, we ordered a single dish, consisting of grilled chicken rice accompanied with grilled vegetables and a typical American sauce, all of excellent quality, fast and very friendly staff.

We made the 5 min walk from the Marriott LAX on a recent stop over after reading the other reviews. And just like the other posts rave - this place is a must! While working my way through college I spent many years working in Greek restaurants so I feel semi qualified to appreciate true Greek culinary. And Alikiās did not disappoint. While the menu could use an updated graphic approach, the food is stellar and staff super friendly!

This little restaurant in the middle of nowhere was delicious! Itās close enough to most of the airport hotels to be able to walk. Food and service superb!

The Lamb Souvlaki (kabob) is superb. We also liked the jalapeƱo hummus (not too spicy). The calamari was not as lightly fried as expected. The gyro plate was average. Service was excellent. Also excellent was the wine selection. Prices are higher than most mom and pop Greek places but not ridiculous for airport area real estate.

Great find! Best Greek food we have ever eaten! We were a family of 6 and we were all ecstatic over all the appetizers we shared, melt in your mouth dolmades, everything was sooo fresh, perfectly seasoned. The moussaka was so light and delicious. Highly recommended. Casual friendly atmosphere, great service. Look forward to returning.

This is a small and unassuming restaurant. Good service. Kind server, but the food was excellent because it tastes like great cooking from a Mama home. Perfectly seasoned. A flavor to remember.

What a find. If your staying at an airport hotel Near LAX you cannot go past this place. A short walk from the Westin we experienced a great meal!! Fantastic traditional food and great service. The spanakoriso was amazing and the pork souvlaki none better!!!! Even my fussy eater kids loved the food - the cheese pies were a winner! We will absolutely be returning very soon!

Who knew that a little bit of Greece could be found in LA! Absolutely amazing food, great music, awesome service and Awesome Food!! & great house wine.....we loved it so much that we took take out back to our room.....absolutely delicious/healthy/amazing food! Definitely will return.

Had driven by many times going to the airport so had time for lunch last week. The food was very delicious but felt the prices were a bit high for lunch.

We were staying at one of the Airport LAX hotels for one night while in Transit and saw this Restaurant on TripAdvisor. It was an 8 min walk from our hotel. It is not a flash restaurant but the food is amazing and the service was good too. TripAdvisor states itās open to 10pm but the kitchen closes at 7.30pm and the Restaurant closes at 8pm. We will definitely come back here again.

An absolute gem! My husband and I arrived in LA just before lunchtime, and were starving. I popped open my trusty Yelp app to find somewhere close and Aliki's came up only .5 miles away. Great reviews, so we thought we'd try it out. OMG if I could give 100 stars I would! You walk in and start to drool at the wonderful scents in the air! We were greeted by the host (Aliki's son) and then Aliki herself seated us and made us feel welcome. They have an extensive menu of traditional Greek dishes, and I really wanted to try everything! We started with taramosalata, served with hot fresh pita that made us swoon with delight. On to the main - we both selected pastitsio, after DH agonized over all the choices. A-MAZ-ING. Perfect amount of meat, hearty pasta, and creamy/crunchy bƩchamel on top with some feta . . . lordie it was fabulous. Can't leave without a bit of sweet! The galakdobouriko with ice cream was a perfect mix of hot and cold, sweet and creamy. There were so many other dishes on the menu I'm dying to try, and I'm sad we're only in town for a couple days. Aliki and her son were both delightful to talk to, and gave us tips about what to see and how to get around safely in LA. Don't hesitate a moment about stopping in to this friendly establishment - you will NOT be disappointed!
Extremely delicious
We went there because it was close to the AirPort. We expected nice greek food, but it was awesome!!! Overall, extremely fresh! And has great prices! If you love food, go! Also, vegetarian options š
