Atmosphere was really attractive. However, the staff rushed you in say you down then as your meal is getting served makes you move your whole table to make room for a larger party. Food is very tasty....portions are MINUSCULE AT BEST. $150 to leave and have to seek out other food??? The entree’s are 2-3 bites. Seriously??? What was there to eat was tasty but not worth the cost.

Alloy Bistro Gourmet is a charming Mediterranean-tapas-style restaurant that serves authentic Mediterranean cuisine, French-Tunisian fare, Italian and other European-influenced dishes and arguably the best pastas in downtown Miami. Located at 154 Southeast 1st Avenue, in the Budget Car Rental Building, it is tucked in a narrow courtyard in The Village neighborhood, an oasis of clam amid the hustle and bustle in the heart of the city. Credit executive chef Federico Genovese for putting together a menu that includes Branzino, a Mediterranean sea bass that is one of my favorite dishes. Federico's version of a baked Branzino filet comes with roasted potatoes and spinach salad. Meanwhile, my wife chose a 100 percent grass-fed Beef Tenderloin with roasted potatoes and spinach salad. Two other items on the menu that impressed were Hanger Steak and grilled Tiger shrimp. For dessert, we shared spicy lemon panna cotta with fresh lemons and strawberry compote and chocolate fudge, white chocolate, nuts crumble and raspberry. How could Alloy Bistro Gourmet rate 3 1/2 stars in a Miami Herald review in 2018 and still not be reviewed by TripAdvisor? Until now.

I regret to say that my recent visit to Alloy Bistro was a profound disappointment. As someone who consistently leaves positive or even glowing reviews, I cannot in good conscience overlook the misstep that occurred during my meal. Upon alerting the staff to the presence of a bug in our meal (photos attached) instead of a sincere apology or an attempt to rectify the situation, we were met with accusations. To our astonishment, the management had the audacity to insinuate that we had planted the insect ourselves, as if we would sabotage our own dining experience for what can only be described as sheer absurdity. Thankfully, as a food blogger, I had snapped some pre-meal photos, providing clear evidence that the bug was indeed a kitchen mishap. Despite this, the staff persisted in their accusations, which felt incredibly disrespectful. To make matters worse, rather than trying to make things right, they kept sending more food to our table – despite us making it abundantly clear that we weren't interested. It felt like they were more focused on covering up the mistake than addressing it. So, while I usually enjoy singing praises to all of the restaurants I visit, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. Their lack of accountability and dismissive attitude toward customers is something I can't overlook. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work to improve their service.

This restaurant, located a little inside an alley (behind brasil steak) on SE 1st Ave between SE 1st Street and SE 2nd Street, is a good choice for a quiet evening, enjoying some light european food in a nice atmosphere in downtown Miami. They have a good choice of red and white wine. I tried the chef’s plate, serving 5 courses, quite good taste. I did enjoy the place, sitting outside.

This place just became my favorite restaurant in Miami. It’s not in a cute location but it’s worth it. The design is cute and kind of a hidden treasure. The burrada with the charcoaled eggplant is so amazing and a little truffle oil just tops it off. The cauliflower with goat cheese yum, and the branzino wao! Recommend 100%

Okay, this is French-Mediterranian style gourmet place, so expect that this will be an expensive dinner with a small portion. We had a truffled risotto and trout with some salad, and while the trout dish was bit salty, it actually blended well with the salad that reduces some saltiness and liked the sauce. The risotto was so good, not too cheesy. We felt like we had some healthy cuisine with good ingredient, and the interior design and outdoor decoration felt like we were in the street of Europe, as it was quite separate from the street, thus blocked some car noises.

We were nicely welcome by the hostess and waitress but after that X everything eles was a nightmare… 1 hour for 4 risottos to be ready is unacceptable, totally lost crew. Waste of time ….

General - We booked here for our wedding meal (just the two of us) and could not have had a better time. We had booked in advance and asked for a specific table and they kept a few free for us since it was such a special occasion. The setting is really nice and romantic - nice lighting and a great atmosphere because it is in a nice courtyard. It was the live band night and the band were really excellent and played a special request for us. Food - excellent tasting menu. It is proper European fine dining - we had become a bit disappointed with the food in Miami but this was real quality and our best meal in Miami. The truffle risotto was exceptional. Atmosphere - as described above and I think someone mentioned previously - like a little European courtyard with a nice romantic and chilled out feel. Drinks - good options Service - excellent We were advised to get an uber there and back due to the area - we felt fine but took the advice anyway.

A hidden gem in the middle of downtown with outstanding food. Very attentive staff, great selections. It's a small space but features unique courtyard seating as well. Great for couples or a business dinner.

I visited this restaurant because of my birthday. It was probably a gift from the Universe! Such a discovery! We had a tasting menu, paring with a great Barolo... WOW! But I didn’t have enough. I needed to try more from this menu! The Seafood Tower was fresh and flavorful! I just loved it! Thank you Alessia and Walter. Your service was impeccable. To the owners: spread the word! Your place is absolutely stunning!

I have been here several times, the food is always great, this time we tried the tasting menu, really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

On a recent trip to Miami, my husband and I visited Alloy Bistro. It was about a 25-minute cab ride from South Beach. We arrived in what appears to be the middle of nowhere, but were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely alleyway full of bars and restaurants. As other reviewers have said, you feel like you've been whisked away to Europe for the evening (or a Disney-like version of it). We sat outside at Alloy, as the inside is very small with only a few tables. We got a bottle of white, which was crisp and delicious. The only thing that turned us off about this place was when my husband took our bottle of wine out of the ice bucket that had been placed next to our table. He was just reading the label, and suddenly our waiter walked over, took the bottle of of my husband's hands and put it back in the ice bucket. He said nothing, but I found this to be extremely rude and inappropriate. If we want to look at the label on a bottle of wine we have purchased, we should be able to. As for the food, the beet salad was good, but a little disappointing. It was supposed to come with greens, so we envisioned more of a salad. It literally only came with a tablespoon full of micro-greens. The goat cheese cream that it was served with was delicious. My husband had the ravioli, which was one of the greatest pasta dishes I have ever tasted. I was really looking forward to the lobster pappardelle that I ordered, but was underwhelmed. The pasta was perfect but the sauce was bland and not at all lobstery as I was hoping. The lobster meat itself tasted a little bit off, as well. Overall, I would give this place 3.5 starts, but I'm rounding up as my husband's pasta was to die for.

Carcioffi raviolo made with pistaccio pasta. Fair price for a top notch wine list. Don’t be impressed by the location. This is a bistro.

Alloy Bistro is hidden down a narrow passageway and can be hard to find. But once you make your way down that passageway, you emerge into a charming courtyard where the restaurant has its outdoor dining area. It's worth the effort, because the food, the service and the setting are all top notch. Was there for a New Year's Eve dinner, and the tasting menu featured one home run after another. Alloy Bistro knows how to do pasta, fish and beef, and does them all equally well.

Food is amazing (truffle risotto, smoked octopus, cauliflower and raviola are faves), ambiance is romantic, good wines at fair prices, top-notch service and well-sourced ingredients. Just did a birthday dinner in the private room and everyone was impressed, including a couple guests that own restaurants of their own.

The food has a lot of personality and chatacter; excellent quality and seems prepared with care; delicious -- not boring. A craft type establishment. Cons: dishes came all when ready without apparent coordination for the table. Service was nice but not efficient. Also, it gets hot outside in the summer. Overall, worth it.

Alloy is a difficult place to find on your first visit, but so worth it, you will keep going back. Luna and her 2 partners receive you in a cute little restaurant that seemed located right in the middle of a lost street in a Mediterranean village not far from Italy. They insist they offer Mediterranean food, not Italian. This place is a feast to the palate and an amazing experience. Why? Menu changes everyday and alwaysdiversified and surprising dishes; great wines also.

We went here after buying a Gilt City voucher and loved it so much we had to come back a week later. Now this our new favorite restaurant for date night. The pork belly was incredible as was the truffle risotto. Honestly, everything is delicious and great care has been put into the food and service. The prices are quite reasonable for Miami given the quality of the food. This place is unique and a wonderful spot for a romantic dinner or dinner with friends. Can't wait for our next dinner here!

Loved the ambience, left like I was in the south of Spain and service was excellent, but the food was like nothing I've had. You must try it.....

What a unique and special place. We live in Miami part time are always looking for local little gems to support. Alloy Bistro did not disappoint. The curated micro-vineyard wine list, amazing menu and the simple international escapism design vibe will whisk you away.

A wonderful restaurant in the heart of Downtown, Miami. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We enjoyed a really lovely server, who looked after us from the moment we walked in, helping with wine and food recommendations. The Octopus starter followed by the Branzino Fillet was the perfect combination for seafood lovers! The Cauliflower & Feta starter, followed by the Ragu Tagliatelle was well enjoyed by my partner too. We look forward to our return to this fantastic restaurant, that is really a modern twist on Italian/European dining.

Almost organic products, buy every day's for the most freshness. Dishes prepared with love and passion. Very nice wine list and craft beer

In spite of a very unattractive hallway entrance, after you get to the restaurant everything changes. The ambiance, the service and above all the food makes you feel that you are somewhere in Europe. I highly suggest you try it, you won’t be sorry.

It was my friend birthday and invite her to connect with a old friend from italy . Cozy , Romantic place and the food i can voucher that is super good . i ask for the filet mignion mediun well and the chef got insulted .so i said surprise me and really he make me look bad because it was amazing the way he cooked .i try to get the secret but you know nothing and good choices of wines. End of the story . U need to have ur own experience .I recomend it

Beef tenderloin is a must, you will not regret at all, I really recommend this restaurant is right in downtown, nice location and service

Went again to Alloy and yet again was amazed by the creativity and quality of the food. Had the five course menu including wine - the taste of the risotto is still lingering on. Definitely the best restaurant I have visited in Miami and surroundings. That the service on top is perfect makes it a must if Miami

If you have not come yet, Do it! Amazing place in dowtown. Staff, atmosphere and delicious food. You must visit it!

What a find! Inside a little alley way in downtown Miami are about 4-5 restaurants. A real find is Alloy! Very, very creative cooking in a nice comfortable restaurant with outside and inside seating. We had 2 appetizers - the duck gnocchi, a take off on Canadian poutine, and the foie gras with thinly sliced mango and a mango purée with, I think, chia seeds. Both were delicious and nice portions. Then a chocolate dessert - chunks of cold milk chocolate, piped whites chocolate and raspberry purée. Excellent! We will definitely go back and try the hamachi and the octopus. Both served beautifully, smoke pouring out from both!

Our second time with 10bfamily members. Very disappointing. The dishes looked superb but wete too complicated and confused when tasted. Stick to the branzino and simple. Expensive wine list. Great service from nicoletta but a depressing culinary experience and a heavy bill.

If you can find ir down an alley in downtown miami you will find a treat. Lovely quiet courtyard. Superb Italian cooking at fair prices with friendly service. Keep it secret!

I have been many times in Miami but never saw this place: when a colleague took us there we were really surprise to find such a characteristic place in the middle of skyscrapers and highways ... A kind of real italian trattoria in the hearth of Miami. We have been welcome by three nuce ladies that offered us very good and original food with fantastic italian white wine. The chef is fabtastic... We really had a great time there and I will come surely back. Not cheap but worth its cost ...

Beautiful restaurant, and amazing food. For European people, we feel like home. I had an amazing diner with my friends, the staff is very kind and professional. The food is exceptional. We almost had all the menu and every plate is a different taste. I really recommend this restaurant.

This hidden gem is worth discovering. Miami resident of 30 years with few restaurants that I have not heard of or tried. Alloy has been quite a surprise. Part of the charm is finding the restaurant, hidden in a downtown alley is like hunting for a treasure. Once you find it you are welcomed with a warm smile by the entire staff, and I mean everyone! Owners, manager, chefs, wait staff, everyone genuinely welcomes you. I felt more like going to dinner at a friend's house than to a restaurant. Michelle is the truly amazing, professionally and personally, if she could package her smile and genuine warmth, she would be richer than the Queen of England! Her personality glows and her smile will melt you! So after we were seated the service was prompt and water, wine and warm bread with REAL italian olive oil was brought to the table, again with a genuine and friendly staff member who also explained the menu. Our choice was a home made duck prosciutto with an amazing burrata and "burned eggplant". The combination of the three was original, tasty and very very fresh, served on a slate of "lavagna", very original! Wish I had more as it was truly a fantastic appetizer. My pasta dish was another great surprise! A pistachio ravioli with artichoke is a light butter and sage sauce, delicate, tasty, original, fresh with a well balanced texture and flavor. Another dish I wish I could have more but the conversation with the staff was so pleasant that I forgot I was not at home. I skipped the main course but did indulge in TWO desserts. One was a light mousse of cappuccino with crunchy nuts and the chocolate decadence were a treat. The conversations with the entire staff was as enjoyable as the dinner. The chef Brambilla came to table twice to make sure everything was in order and to our liking. When it was time to leave I felt guilty for leaving as you would feel guilty leaving your best friend's house after a great meal. I dine out between 250 to 300 times a year, and Italians restaurant in Miami are all the same in the selections of their food, BUT Alloy was a very unique experience that can't wait to retry and to be welcomed back but everyone. Well done everyone, thank you Chef Brambilla (from Milan), thank you Luna, thank you Michelle and tank you to the entire staff. I will be back! Thank you!!!!

Amazing little italian gem bistro! Great food and service was amazing! We had the branzino carpaccio, smoked octopus, and tartare as appetizers..all really good and perfectly presented. As main course we ordered the ragú pappardelle, the lobster pappardelle, truffle mushroom gnocchi and black truffle risotto !! Excellent choices!! And as an espectacular closure to our lunch we had the Triology dessert platter ..a combination of their three desserts!!!

Not a good place. Small portion, not so much tasty food and awful service. They show in the wrb pictures and mains that are not in the menu. They have HD pictures and the food is not represented as google photos. Also, they have fake and paid reviews with a super rating. Please, if you go do not ask for the truffle special, that is all but not truffle. The manager do not accept a review and we were scammed for a 60$ cake fee that did not ask for. From 3 tables we were, they brought 2 receipt with 60$ cake fee and because we complaint and at the end was 60$ for all, if not they would charge us for 180$ (they told is that was a mistake blablabla…). Now they will tell that it was less than 3$ per person, but because we complaint with the manager. The fact that they considered us idiot was the problem at the end. Save your money and your time, there are much better places in Downtown and Miami for Italian “Gourmet” food as Salumeria 104. By the way, my mentality is more than good and enough to go around in Miami, thanks for the suggestion ;). I do not “gift” money and less for undervalue food. Good luck with you scam business

Found this spot on TripAdvisor and previous reviews were spot on. Great service with people passionate about what they do. Creatively prepared, beautifully presented, delicious dishes. No regrets in our orders of wine, burrata with burned eggplant, cauliflower with feta cream and harissa, ravioli and pappardelle with lobster. Pineapple dessert should not be missed. I’d be a regular if I lived here!

We just did a search and came up with this restaurant and liked what we read so we booked it on Open Table and Ubered over. Alloy is tucked in an alley with several other restaurants, a very European feel. We were offered a choice whether to eat inside or out and we chose the outdoor courtyard. There were fans pointed at us so it was quite pleasant. We were greeted by Luna who was charming and served by John who was equally great. Our first course was a cauliflower appetizer with a feta foam that was amazing. Who know something like that could change the way you think about a vegetable? Then it was onto out entrees. I had the Lamb Shank which was cooked to perfection. The meat literally slid off of the bone. The accompanying sauce just made it sing! My hubby got the filet which was black from a charcoal preparation and cooked via Sous Vide, perfectly medium rare and a stunning presentation. We were completely full but decided to try the Grilled Pineapple dessert. This is where my new life began...Grilled pineapple surrounding a brioche from Heaven above(think best French toast in the world). There was also whipped foam to dip all of this delishishness in! We were flying high. It was the best thing I have ever had! As if this wasn't enough, the chef came out and talked to us and a surprise additional dessert showed up which was also amazing! I don't wan't to forget to tell you about the wine. It was a COS Maldafrica red wine from Sicilia and wonderful. Let's just say this was one of the best finds ever. We loved the people and the evening.

I went there for Valentine’s Day, was my first time. The food was excellent, the ambiance is very romantic and chic, the service was great, super friendly and knowledge stuff. Great wine list!! I’m definitely visit again.

Alloy is located in an unassuming alleyway in Downtown Miami. We had dined here during our last trip to Miami and decided to go back. The menu is modern Mediterranean with lots of seafood and pasta dishes. We sat outside and shared a nice bottle of French rose. The bread came with really nice olive oil for dipping. We visited on a Thursday and they had a $1 oyster special so we shared a dozen. They were good but not ice cold. Could have used a little more mignonette with the oysters. They really don't have any salads on the menu, which I thought was odd. My husband had the foie gras appetizer, which he liked. He said the frozen raspberries that came on the side didn't seem like they belonged on the plate. I had the octopus appetizer, which was perfectly cooked. We shared a main dish of pappardelle pasta with lobster in a lobster bisque sauce. It was flavorful but lacking in seasoning. The pasta was cooked perfectly. We finished the meal with the cappuccino dessert, which is like a mousse. It was tasty, but could have used some cake or cookie element for texture. Overall, it was a nice meal in a beautiful setting.

Happened upon Alloy Bistro Gourmet for dinner during Miami Spice. Good food and excellent presentation. Small portions for the price (considering we went for Miami Spice). I ordered the Beef Tartare, Butterfly Branzino, and the Chocolate. Again, great presentation, but for the price (and what other restaurants serve for Miami Spice), I wish there were larger portions.

You will find the most delectable dishes at Alloy Bistro, I indulged in several. It's chic, yet laid back and the service, excellent. The entire evening was a treat; my new favorite restaurant!

Hands down one of the best meals we had while at a conference in Miami. We went for the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Yes, it wasn’t cheap, but man, it was WORTH every penny. You can tell how much the chef cares about the ingredients he puts on the plate. Everything was fantastic. Beef tartare and octopus were stellar. And the frozen chocolate dessert was to die for. Five courses and six wines in all...excellent deal!

Maybe I should have been tipped off that there were few reviews of the restaurant over the last year, but this place is a total rip off. My girlfriend went there on Valentine's Day, and I didn't know that the dinner was prix fixes at $125/person. That in itself is not horrible for a great dining experience, but this was one of the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Portions were extremely small (my girlfriend counts calories, and even she went home hungry), service was inattentive, and there was only outside seating. This was a huge issue because it was very windy in Miami that night and they had no heat lamps, so we froze during dinner. And oh year, they have no liquor license, so you can't even order a cocktail! Add it all together, and we walked away hungry with a $350 tab (after taxes and tip and one glass of wine each). STAY AWAY FROM THIS OVERPRICED TOURIST TRIP--IT IS A RIP-OFF EVEN AT HALF THE PRICES WE PAID. They are some many great restaurants in Miami, but this doesn't even come closed to being rated with them.

I occasionally come back to Alloy when I am in Miami and I want small portions of good food and so I did on this trip. I ordered octupus, well presented but not as good as usual. Hope next time will be better ...

Everything was excellent (food, ambiance and service). Surely not yet known by many due to its hidden location, this will soon be one of Miami's trendiest restaurants. Recommend trying the chef's selection. Size of the portions was perfect and price was more than reasonable for the quality. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Unfortunately, the restaurant offered to us a ridiculous experience with customer service. We planned our Valentine's Day well in advance, and made a reservation on the 3rd of February for February 14th, at 2:30 PM. On February 11th, 3 days before the reservation - I received a call from Alloy Bistro. Our reservation had to be canceled because they are very busy that day and have to close the kitchen at 1:45 PM. The manager did not apologize for the inconvenience, saying that’s my problem if we can not come at 1:00 PM instead of 2:30 PM!!! Also, he hanged up on me and I had to call back. Customers can not be treated this way if the business cares - in this situation restaurant should have notified us at least one week before the reservation. Now it is impossible to find another place due to the high demand on Valentine's day.

When you look at the outside of the building, it seems abandoned and empty. However, when you go down a small alley in between the buildings, there are several restaurants that are humming with activity. The restaurant had a very nice outdoor seating area and the service was excellent. The waiter made some great recommendations and the menu is sort of a fusion of italian, french and asian flavors. Many traditional dishes with a new modern spin. The octopus was terrific as was the burrata, cauliflower and pasta dishes. Wine list was quite nice and the whole dining experience was fantastic.

Service was excellent, the ingredients are top notch, well thought and well put together wine list with many choices by the glass (not your typical choices, very good ones), moderate corkage fee. I had a good meal with a group, we all did the tasting menu which was a good way to try the place, however next time I am choosing a la carte, it was too meat oriented for me (personal choice). I am going back soon but without a group.

I accidentally stumbled onto Alloy looking for dinner before a show. Quaint location has a very European feel. An inner courtyard with various restaurants within the courtyard. I had the Dorado with Israeli CousCous, it was fabulous. The food is definitely a labor of love. Everything was perfectly executed from the bread, great little wine menu, entree, I wish I had time to stick around for dessert and coffee.

Omg where to start! Downtown Italian hidden gem for sure. For starters the duck prosciutto and the octopus both where amazing but prosciutto was a brand new experience that will for sure bring me back to Alloy soon. As entree we had the truffle risotto, beef tenderloin, raviolo carciofo and raviolo short ribs everything was delicious but my favorite was the mouthwatering risotto. Desserts where delicious as well my fave would be pineapple brioche. The service music and ambiance of the restaurant was great. We did the Miami spice menu mostly and enjoyed dinner very much and hope to be back ASAP.

Food is great! The location is cute and service was very satisfactory! Again: foid is SUUUUPER good! Please try balck truffle risotto. Omg!!!!!

After enjoying a wonderful evening the night before at Meraki, we made reservations right next door in the outside alley way of wonderful foods, at Alloy Bristro. As their web site states "An oasis of calm in the heart of the city, Alloy Bistro transports you out of the hustle & bustle of downtown to a cozy Mediterranean courtyard." Truly! Even on a Sunday evening we made reservations as the place gets hopping as the evening progressed with live music to be enjoyed by everyone in the area. Our server, Nicoletta (?) who is from Italy was very bubbly, passionate for the food and her country and wanted us to experience the evening with drink, food, conversation and music. We were with another couple and decided to share plates to experience a wider variety of tastes. The roasted cauliflower, a pasta dish, beef and of course Italian desserts. A wonderful relaxing evening with friends. Although we didn't stay late to enjoy the music, it was entertaining and seemed to be enjoyed by all the guests. One drawback was smoking. Apparently smoking is still allowed outside in restaurants in Miami. Just not used to someone sitting next to us smoking. Otherwise, fantastic dining experience

Downtown Miami, near the Conference center, great food, intimate setting, wonderful staff from Itlay. Highly recommend if you are visiting Miami or waiting for you cruise.

One of my favorite of all times is Alloy Bistro, in the middle of downtown Miami in a courtyard that will make you feel like you are not in the middle of the city, it feels like you are somewhere in a small village in the Mediterranean, really gorgeous. And how about the food, it is always amazing, this was actually during the Miami Spice months but, we have been dining there many times before that so, you can always trust that they have amazing dishes on the menu and Antonella, our server, she was great and she can help you with the choices of the food which is superb, love it @alloybistromiami For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Very pretty location. Portions of meat are ok, of sides are a joke, a smear of mashed potato no more than a smear of sauce is inadequate. The steak I ordered came medium when I ordered medium-rare, the spinach was nearly cold. Everything tasted good though but at the prices it should have been really, really good.

Unique, one of a kind, Top Resturant in Downtown Miami. I loved this unique fine dining experience in a romantic atmosphere.

The service was excellent which shouldn't be a surprise when the owners are present and involved. a little pricey but excellent food with great presentation. Be sure to save room for desert!
Amazing experience
Cauliflower appetizer amazing! Recommend for some class in downtown Miami. Quality fusion French Italian.
