My new fiancée and I decided to visit the Marriott's rooftop bar and lounge to celebrate our recent engagement. The views are breath taking from each side of the bar, one of Petco Park and the other a panorama of downtown. After getting a drink the bar manager, Brandon, found out about our engagement and bought us a drink. He was super professional and very friendly and honesty we would go back just because of him, not to mention the great views, atmosphere, and cocktails.

Arrived early evening and took the express elevator to 22nd floor. Sun was setting and there was loud music, great bar service, and unbelievable views. There is also a gas firepit. Even the locals come here for the vibe. Was also here til 11pm one night and things were great. So don't miss this spot.

This place was suggested by our Uber driver while my wife and I, along with another couple, were visiting San Diego. Relatively inexpensive drinks, no cover, and we could watch the Padres take on the Giants from the 22nd floor overlooking the field. It was a cool experience.

You visit the Altitude Sky Lounge for the view; it is worth the visit for the view but the experience left us disappointed. The rooftop is very nicely appointed with comfortable, high-end outdoor furnishings and fire pits - including a very nice bar. There is also a good amount of stool seating along the edge of the bar that provide a nice view of Coronado, Petco Park and the city. The negatives were slow service (even on a Wednesday night at 6:00 - not very busy), and being chastised twice; once from a waitress who did not want us to move a stool and the second by the doorman because one of us got on our knees on a stool to take a picture of a couple who asked to have the view in better perspective. I understand that there are rules but these two instances made us feel as if the staff does not really care about customer satisfaction as their approach was very matter of fact and without emotion. We had planned on staying the evening but left after one drink. Our impression was that perhaps the staff is more accustom to working a crowded, club scene than a more casual, upscale experience.

The drinks were terrible and the wait staff were pleasant but outnumbered. When it was time to close, they could not have been ruder.

Didn't go to Petco Park but viewed it from the 22nd floor bar of the Marriott. Drinks pricey, but you pay for the amazing view. Go for one drink. It's woth it.

There was a line to get in, but it moved quickly. The panorama was worth the wait. Truly gorgeous views of the bay, San Diego, Petco Park and the environs. The drinks are capably concocted from quality spirits and reasonably priced. One rather obvious shortcoming was a rather Spartan wine list. It would have been appreciated to have a nice bottle of wine. Not a great selection considering the other attributes.

Really nice rooftop bar with a view of the Padres stadium, the river and the city. Happy hour has $6 well drinks, $5 draft beers and half price flat breads (which are yummy!). If you're lucky you'll get a beautiful sunset like we did and if you go there on a game night you have the added bonus of hearing the crowd in the stadium which really adds to the atmosphere!

It is at the rooftop of Marriot Hotel in Gaslamp Quarter. We were able to see a baseball game from the rooftop with a great drink. It was a little crowded when we get there but we still able to enjoy and had fun. great crowds too

The view is outstanding and the staff wonderful. We saw that the bar was rated in the top 30 bars worldwide by Conde Nest Travel, so we had to go and visit. You can take your breakfast up there in the am too.

Awesome night life. Excellent food and service. The views are beautiful and the people are friendly.

On the rooftop of the Marriott Gaslamp hotel. Views on one side of Petco field, Coronado, convention center and the other side of downtown/Gaslamp district. Bar service and wait staff roaming to take your orders. Large fire pit and overhead heaters to keep you warm on chilly days/nights. Good to take in the views, down a few drinks and make your way to Gaslamp.

Roof top bar on 22nd floor of the Marriott in the Gas Lamp District of San Diego. Beautiful sunset views. Good service, heat warmers and fire pit help provide warmth in February. Not crazy about the music provided. Targeted for a very young crowd. Enjoyed the spicy margarita.

We went to Altitude Sports bar when it opened for happy hour. Not long after we got there there was standing room only. This is a great place to see the sun set and for views of the city. We had great service and the drinks are reasonable at least during happy hour. Highly recommended!

Fantastic view of San Diego from the roof top bar. However, be prepared to pay big money for drinks.

Good place to get a drink and catch the view of Petco Park and the harbor. Kind of a younger crowd as the evening wears on but nice firepit and atmosphere. Dedicated elevator available from the lobby of the Marriott.

A nice place to unwind . . . . In our case, it was 17 hours of flying. Will be back, when not so tired

We got here right when they opened and there was only one space left near the ledge with a view of the ballpark. This was on a day when the Padres game started at 5:40pm, so get there early if you want a spot with a view. You see the game and the scoreboard from the bar. I had the Raspberry Ice drink which I really liked.

After work went here with friends. Views were amazing and so were the libations. We saw the lights from our hotel and had to check it out. So glad we did. We ran into a wedding and en got pictures with the bridal party lol.

It it true that it has a great view and atmosphere. Gets very busy as expected, especially on weekends. There was no cover charge for guests or non guests. You can expect to see groups of friends, bachelor, and bachelorette gatherings. If the sun goes down at the right angle, it is spectacular.

I'm sure it's great when the suns out. However on a foggy San Diego night it's clear that really apart from the view it's just a sparsely furnished roof top with a bar. We were ignored by the waitstaff for a while before getting our own drinks. Fire pit is nice. Make sure the sun is out!

Went here for Padres Opening Day and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't jam packed, crowdable but manageable. Beautiful view of ballpark and the bay and plenty of comfortable seating. Not the most extensive of beer lists, but it had my favorite not to mention a fully stocked bar and great service. Really just a good afternoon drinking and sightseeing.

Watch a ballgame from a distance or sit next to the fire pit. A great way to top off the night! You can also get a view of the city.

I was in town for a conference and some of my associates were staying in the Marriott so we decided to end one evening here. It was fun, the view was good, and there is a quieter room off to the side with a balcony overlooking the city that was good for conversation (the main bar is outdoors, lots of smoking and loud dance music)...

Drinks before the Padres game -service and drinks were excellent. The view is one everyone should experience - especially San Diego Harbor!

If you want a mojito and a nice view go here.In fact this place has one of the best views of San Diego Bay I will admit the drinks are over priced but hey its a roof top club. The fire pit is very nice.

We were part of a group. The food selection was good and tasty. The view is excellent from the roof top. There is an express elevator to go directly to the top floor. Our waitress was Lara. She was prompt, courteous and efficient. The service was excellent..

I am not much for bars but since it was supposed to have the great views and be on the roof, why not. Music so loud I could not think but other than that, great views and good draft beer.

Great views over looking petco was packed and over crowded to the point one could hardly move the drinks were average and why over priced a bad experience

Well drinks were $10.. Go during their happy hour or just stay for one drink to enjoy the view. A Padres game was going on when we were there so we snuck around to the deck overlooking the city and we had it completely to ourselves. Great atmosphere but not worth the expensive drinks.

The view from the rooftop is spectacular but it did get extremely crowded on the weekend. Maybe during the week would be a better time to visit.

My clever wife found this bar just a block away from where we were staying and we enjoyed it so much we visited early evening and then returned after dusk after I'd bought a sweatshirt as it was a bit breezy up there. Prices are standard for such a bar, the music was to my taste and the view of Petco Park just amazing. Free entry too..

We stayed in the Marriott and went up to Altitude our first night. It was insanely packed, so we decided to come back earlier the next evening. The next night, we went up around 6, and there was obviously no crowd. The views are really amazing. We were lucky enough to get seats around the fire pit, so that was nice. Drinks are another matter. No happy hour (that I am aware of), which would make a lot of sense for earlier in the day/evening. Ordered a Tito's and tonic, which was poured in a crappy old acrylic glass ( I get it...doesn't break). But, it was filled to the top with ice, and wasn't particularly strong or good, which for the ~$12 or so I paid (I don't remember), definitely seemed ridiculous when the sun is still up. Still despite the expense, it was great. I definitely understand that at 11pm, when all you care about is seeing or being seen, you don't care about the drinks. No matter what, definitely recommend a visit.

We were staying in the hotel which was fabulous. The rooftop bar and staff made it even better. We’re not used to having people take our drink orders and bring them to us, so that was huge. The view is beautiful at any time whether day, sunset or night lights. It was cold but there were plenty of heaters and a huge gas fireplace to keep us warm. Plenty of space and seating for everyone. The security staff were fun and kept a close eye on things at the same time. This was a highlight of our trip.

Nice spot. Seemed to be a late night spot for drinks. Great view, comfy seats and heaters. Worth the stop if your in the area. Has 805 beer too!

The atmosphere of the lounge is relaxed with the music playing. The display/use of lights for lighting is cool.

Nice spot to have a drink, or watch a game on big screen tv. mingle. Conveniently located on the hotel rooftop, 22nd floor.

This club was banging...I was able to watch the ballgame from the rooftop, have a drink and relax all in the same evening. I highly reccomend it.

I attended a reception held here during a conference. The view of the ballpark is excellent. I could see myself hanging out with my friends and checking out a baseball game from here. My wife said her drink tasted good. The ambiance was conducive to sitting and talking. Here was a covered area by the bar and an open area with fire pits. Definitely worth another visit the next time I am in SD.

It has several areas to catch the views along with a large fire pit. Bartenders are fast and friendly. Seems to be a good place for almost any age.

We wanted to go to a roof top bar, and this one was closest to our hotel. We'd had a few drinks before we arrived, but it felt a little lacking in atmosphere on arrival. However, this was more than made up for by the fab view. The cocktails were OK, but sitting and looking out over the city was lovely. No baseball game on when we were there (it would be mega to do this), but I thought it was worth the trip for the view if nothing else.

A couple of cocktails on the roof before dinner set up for a good night in sunny San Diego. It gets crowded; come early!

Came here three times on my 4 day San Diego visit. The fire pits look beautiful and the open view from the rooftop overlooks Petco field. If you're looking for a premier place to relax, socialize and get a drink, this is a very good choice.

Visited with 2 friends and we had a great time. The view was amazing as well as our drinks. Bartenders were fast and kind. We loved sitting around the fire pit and enjoying the skyline.

Amazing views and clear view into the ballpark. Good food, friendly service. Stayed at hotel . Lot's of fun

Love the views from this place. I really like the city view side and bar between the two areas, you can see N downtown from there. The outdoor firepit is nice, I really enjoy each visit here.

After dining at one of the numerous choices in the Gaslamp district we always head over to Altitude for a gorgeous view of the bay and some chill music.

This place is a 5 star bar/club with a line out the door to get in. BUT if you stay at the hotel getting in is simple.

The drinks are great! The seating is cool - you can see into the ballpark from the rail seating. The views are some of the best in the city!

I was there this weekend and last November a great place with awesome view around downtown San Diego nice to place to have a drink and enjoy the sunset also you can overview Petco park and some part of the baseball field

The views are spectacular & the staff is just awesome! Make sure you are there for sunset, or even a ballgame. There is an express elevator in the evenings to take advantage of as well for your added convenience.

We stayed at the Marriott and visited the lounge every night we were there. Great views, good music, fire pits and good drinks. It does get crowded at night so get there early to avoid the wait.

If you want a night out on the scene, stop by Altitude and have a cocktail at the fireplace and see the view of Petco Park and remainder of San Diego Zoo. Beware there is no food. Cocktails menu is pretty basic but there is something for everyone. A must when in San Diego.

When all of the other outdoor bars were closed, we could always count on a toasty fire and amazing drinks here!

It had a good view of the baseball stadium and a car park which was similar to what we had in the room. The hype about one of the best bars with a view seemed a little flat in reality.it was rather cold and quite basic place but there again you did get a good view of the baseball stadium and car park. There are much better roof top bars and I doubt this is one of the best I am sorry to say.

Stopped in for a drink while staying at the hotel. Nice rooftop bar, literally on top of the Marriott. The views are breathtaking. If there's a game going on at Petco, you have views of the infield and parts of the outfield. Smoker friendly with ashtrays, if that's your thing.

After hearing raves from locals, we went for late night drinks. Surly security guards even though it was empty (pre baseball season) and only fireside place was taken (why don't you add more because they are great). The bartender was there and then when we walked over he disappeared - and didn't come back for ages and no acknowledgement. Yes the view at night is lovely and scenic but not worth the dreadful service. Hope this was a one off night for you because we were not impressed.

I just visited for 1 drink to start the night off, but the views were amazing. The bartenders were friendly and the place an a good energy. I will recommend my friends to go see the view at this rooftop bar!

Went here multiple time on our trip. Always a busy place. Loved the view and just hanging out with friends. It is no secret that this is a great place to hang out and have a good time.

A local friend took us up to check out the free (as far as I could tell) bar on top of the Marriott. Gorgeous views at night! And the white cranberry vodka drink was extra delicious! I had had a few drinks by the time we were up there, and at one point I really was freaking myself out while leaning on the railing and looking out of the back of the building. ha ha! Definitely go when you're in town.

The views are great. Bring a sweater for night, but they also have a cool fire pit. This excellent bar is at the top of the Marriott.

Outstanding city views from this rooftop bar. You can see into Petco Park too. Reasonably priced drinks for happy hour. Worth a visit for the view alone

I came up here just for the views. There's great views of the downtown area. There are some tables and chairs to relax in.

Arrived around 930pm on a Sunday. Place was not busy. Got seating around the very large fire pit after maybe half hour. Lots of heat lamps. Played what sounded like the early 90s station from Pandora, and thats ok. ;) I bet views of Petco when they are playing would be amazing.

Great to spend some time at sunset with friends, great to see San Diego fromthe top, east and west views.

Great bar, with stunning views. Friday and Saturday night can get very crowded, non hotel goers were there. Not really my scene on those nights. Lots of 20 somethings. Service was great.

What a fun place to start off the night! Had a couple of mojitos, would have been perfect if it had been 10 degrees warmer, it was nice that there were warmers stationed throughout, but was still chilly. Drinks seemed pretty expensive, but maybe standard for San Diego.

I went to the Altitude Sky Bar on a Wednesday and I must say, it went well. Though the crowd wasn't too heavy, the atmosphere was good and the view was amazing! Also, the drinks were quite tasteful. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place on a Wednesday or any other day of the week.

On the rooftop of our hotel, the Marriott Gas Lamp Quarter, we found this bar/lounge. When you first arrive, you are totally taken back at the incredible view. From being right next door to Petco Park where you look right onto the field, to the panoramic view of San Diego. Amazing!! It was a also fun place to just hang out for drinks and bar-type food. We visited on two different occasions --- once in the day and the other at night. Two completely different atmospheres, but both trendy and fun. In the evening, the fit pit is going with some cool lighting. We even stayed long enough to watch a night baseball game from our bar stools! The place gets pretty busy after hours, so suggest you go earlier if you're just going for the view.

Was there on a night when no game was on but the park was lit up. Cool rooftop bar, few large firepits, fun way to grab a late night drink

While the views from the rooftop bar are great. You can watch a Padres game while you drink, we were disappointed in the quality of the wine offered and the total lack of menus for the advertised small plates. We didn't see a menu and never saw anyone with food. If you want t overlook San Diego with a drink, it's probably the best place in town, but not what we expected or wanted.

Great for a sunset cocktail before heading out for the evening and for a final-final nightcap. Nice servers too.

Went here with a group. The bar makes great mojitos and views were really beautiful. The seating was a little short handed but it was a nice decorated place and comfortable to hang out.

Yes, the views are amazing. There is a direct view of Petco Park, and on the other side of downtown San Diego. The bar service was slow. We went on a Friday night. It was not overly crowded, but it just seemed like the bar tenders wanted to be somewhere else. I do not know if this place has good food because we only went for the view and a few drinks. I would agree that you should go for the view, but have one drink and bale.

A few months ago, friends and I spent an awesome evening in downtown San Diego roof topping and had a blast. There are several hotels that have restaurants/bars on the roof and the Marriott Gaslamp was the top pick. The drinks were fabulous and were the small bites but the atmosphere is the reason to go. And, if there's a baseball game, you can watch it from a distance. I think the hotel even offers baseball fans a deal if they park at the hotel. In any case, it is definitely worth a martini stop!!

Impressive views from the bar. Wow, I'd love to be here for a game. It can get crowded on the weekends, but it's a good size space. Excellent location and great service makes this spot a winner.

One star for the view. Other than that: horrible and crazy expensive drinks (diluted stinky beer, watery cocktails, smelly plastic cups), people smoking around you (so much for the fresh air), DJ who can't even play 2 songs without skipping/dropping. No more. SD has so much more to offer.

This rooftop location offers great views of San Diego, which was great for an L.A. girl like me who hasn't visited San Diego very much. Not to mention, the drinks were delicious!

The views are picturesque but the lounge itself is worn and outdated. Could use a face lift to mirror the pictures on the website.

We stayed here and went up to the Sky Lounge for a pre-game cocktail. We could of stayed there for hours. What a great 360 degree view. Looking down at the Ball park was ana mazing treat. The views are worth it alone but the drinks aren't bad either.

Came here on a late Sunday night and the party was still going strong. For the hype this rooftop got, I was disappointed with it's appearance and ambience. There was one bartender who was working the one bar up there. He was nice, but needed help. There are couches to sit on, but the tables next to them hadn't been cleaned. I am not sure if there even was a busboy walking around cleaning up after people. There is a large fire pit to sit around or an enclosed area you can go into if you're cold. The views are what you're going there for. Try and get here during the day to enjoy them.

Nice lounge to enjoy a drink, enjoy the view, take some pictures of Petco Park and the San Diego Skyline,

Came here at sunset and enjoyed the beautiful views, along with beer and strawberry mojitos. Definitely recommend coming for the view!

Stopped in here with some colleagues after a conference as they said this was one of the best bars downtown. Very cool place to grab a drink and take in the views, definitely worth checking out while you're in town

good view and cold drinks, a little on the expensive side but very relaxing by the fire pit. You get a great view of PETCO stadium from here.

Okay so not everyone can make a great old fashioned. We went up here to view Petco Park which was an amazing view at night. Didn't stay long as the drinks were not great but worth it to go up and see the view.

Whether you are staying at the Marriott or not, this is a great place to have a couple of drinks. The views are great and the weather is nearly always spectacular.

I can’t forget the incredible views of Downtown San Diego and the Pacific Ocean from ALTITUDE Sky Lounge! I was there with my friends to celebrate a birthday in our group at the end of April this year. We came down from Orange County (about 100 miles North), and it was definitely worth the trip! The temperature was mild enough that I was able to wear a sleeveless maxi dress, and take in an incredible sunset over the water. The open air layout was refreshing, and the perfect way to experience San Diego. The people were friendly, and we had fun mingling with the locals. The ambience wasn’t too fancy, but definitely more upscale than your standard bar in the Gaslamp District. The decor was modern, and lent itself to the scenery nicely without detracting from the stunning views of Petco Stadium, Coronado Island, and the bay. My only criticism would be that the drinks were a little expensive, but it’s not a huge surprise in a nice place like this. That being said, they were delicious! I will definitely go back to ALTITUDE again on my next visit to SD.

Amazing rooftop bar with killer views of the city and ballpark. Great spot for a date night, girl's night our or place for those new to the city. Drink prices are reasonable and they have great happy hour deals. There is a large fire pit area for cooler nights, good music playing and music videos on TV screens. The place was buzzing at 6:30 on a Friday night and yet the service was friendly and attentive.

I went for cocktails and music during July 4th weekend and had a great time! The views are amazing, drinks were served well and the music (mostly hip hop) was really good. I didn't eat so I cant speak for the food. We discovered this bar on the last night of our trip and I'm so glad we did. Would definitely return.

We visited on a Friday night when there was a game on in Petco Park and the atmosphere was amazing. We tried cocktails first and I thought mine wasn’t great so we just had G&T’s next. It was a pleasant surprise that the G&T’s were on happy hour so only $7 each. The views in every direction were amazing.

We visited this bar a couple of times during our stay in San Diego, the views of Petco park are amazing, especially when the sun is setting. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, drinks are reasonably priced considering where you are. Definitely worth a visit, even just for the views!

Totally elegant. Beautiful experience. Great Gin drink. A bit pricey but worth it. Great view. Great large fire pit.

We stayed at another Marriot to celebrate a milestone birthday as a mother daughter duo. Within walking distance we headed to Altitude Sky Lounge for a drink. Horrible Mistake ! My daughter purchased one drink ,within 15 min she was que'd by her bank that $306.88 had been charged to her account by ALTITUDE - SOLEIL after the $12.99 drink she had approved and signed for. Altitudes Bartender and Manager (Eric) claim to have zero receipts or tender for the amount and provided us with the Marriot Hotel's Financing Department who appears to busy to return calls 48 hours of a complaint. There is zero cover, zero dress code. If you can walk in the front doors of Marriot from K Street you can walk right into the lobby and be directed to 22nd floor for the great view of the city skyline atop the roof at the club but an expensive experience for the 30 min we were . Perhaps human error , perhaps a result of very lax security, quality of employees during the "off season " according to them . We let the guests who rode down from the 22nd floor in the elevator be aware of what had transpired and warned them to check their accounts as well for Altitude having a skimmer on one of their card readers at the bar . Beware. We are awaiting a call back from Marriot's Accounting Department to rectify the situation before we proceed with other reviews and while financial institution investigates the fraud on Altitude's part. Hopefully they have cameras for review to catch the culprits if it was something other than human error.

We were there for some drinks after dinner. The view was great and we could see Petco Stadium from above and across. We could see across the harbour and the view of downtown. Nice place to hangout with friends.

The DJ plays really good music. The drinks & apps were good...a little pricey, but the view is worth it!

This is a good place to have a drink and enjoy nice views, specially at sunset. Drinks are reasonably priced.

Liked the vibe of Padres fans during the Happy Hour from 5-7 on a Tuesday night. Nice to be able to look down into the stadium as well as the street action way below and then watch the lights of the city come on. There's lots of lounge areas and a big fire pit. Friendly and efficient bartenders. Just a nice time to be there and I only watched a couple innings of the game before I left. Not a big fan of baseball but definitely a big fan of rooftop bars 22 stories up and even more so when it's happy hour.

We had after dinner drinks on this spectacular rooftop bar over looking Petco stadium. A super fun place to begin or end your evening.

For an out of town guy, this was the high life. Swanky atmosphere, great views, very classy clientele. Worth a visit for those who have never been in the gas lamp district.

The view and location of Altitude was amazing. We had a great time here with good friends. It was at the top of the Marriott Gaslamp Hotel and no cover charge to get in. Many lounges/bars were asking $18-20 just to get in. This is right near Petco and we went after a game. Highly recommend this lounge.

Elevated dj. We arrived at night, easy with no hassle... BAM! lights everywhere---on the entrance side one can see the baseball field, while entering the Sky Room fills you with downtown buildings and lights. This place makes strong drinks and plays top 40 music. The crowd was friendly and the firepit warm, for those who are into lounging. I suggest guest experience this place during the day. Blue skies and sea. Cheers!

Great view from the 22nd floor. Looking into Petco Park, out to Coronado, and then across the Gaslamp on the other side is really neat. You definitely go for the view though rather than for any food or the drinks. I would like to see how it is when there is a game.

We've been here several times and were impressed each time. The food was delicious and the drinks expensive, as expected. You can stand and watch a Padres game right from the balcony since it looks directly over. It is very expensive to get in, though. (The price you pay for a lovely view...)

Loved the view, the fire pit, and the drinks and food were reasonable. No cover too! Whats not to like.

A really nice rooftop bar with a fancy crowd, a good vibe and stunning view over the harbor and the stadium. Nice firepit that creates a classy atmosphere.

Roof top bar of the Mariott in the Gaslamp district. Very nice atmosphere, great views over the city and especially Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres, MLB). Great place for a drink at night.

Beautiful view of city, even when overcast. Excellent view of ballgame at Petco Park. There for private party. Food was very good and staff very attentive.

Outdoor fireplace and heaters to keep you warm at night. Views of the water and Petco Park are outstanding.

My wife and I were up at Altitude every night of the week we spent at the Marriott. You can see the ballpark, the service from the staff was beyond excellent and the management team was super friendly, taking great care of us. Definitely coming back for Padres games in the future. The best drink was the Raspberry Ice and we ordered just about everything on the menu, but the Wings were ordered every night! Highly recommended especially if you want to catch a baseball game or just enjoy a beautiful San Diego Sunset!

We came for drinks one night during happy hour and it was lovely. Beautiful views of the bay and funny bartenders.

Beautiful views atop the Marriott. Fortunately we got there early on Saturday night and our wait was short. By the time we left, the line was wrapped around the side of the building. We decided to leave once a beer got dumped on me and we were getting squished. Other than that, amazingly beautiful views.

Great view of the ball park. Diverse crowd, locals and hotel guests. Live DJ. Staffed well, never a long wait for a drink even with a large crowd.

Obviously a hot spot for 'younger and trendier' people - but nevertheless a very pleasant spot on a late spring evening to have a cocktail and gaze over the wonderful skyline that displays itself from this bar. Couldn't help feeling that perhaps we were the oldest people in the vicinity - but have never let that feeling stop me enjoying the moment!

the view here is dope at night, a little cold so bring a jacket. Music is decent but u wont hear anything with

There are fire pits, bottle service tables, indoor seated lounge. Plenty of room to walk around. There are 2 sides. One bar over looks the ball park and the other bar overlooks downtown San Diego. It's beautiful.

Really great views from the rooftop here! A little pricey but you get what you pay for! Great city and ball park views. Fun with friends or a date especially at sunset on a warm night! Please let me know if this review helps you! Thanks!

Good views. Good beer. Didn't try the food, but it's a great roof top patio! Try it,you would won't be dissatisfied

Great bar. Great view. Very unique experience. As with most places out west, DON't order a Tom Collins - they have no idea what one is and will botch it horribly even when talked through. Other drinks were good.

Really enjoyed watching the sunset at the Altitude Sky lounge. The service was not very good which was fine because it allowed us to enjoy the view with out buying to many of their over priced drinks.

I went in a non crowded day, and was magnificent. The view of the city is amazing, the service is really good, the drinks are nice and the music helps a lot. Its a proper lounge where you can enjoy the company and the drinks. 100% recommendable!

Really nice place to watch a sunset through downtown. Really nice atmosphere and waitresses that hustle. Food was tasty too. I could come here every evening

I was able to enjoy the roof top a few times during my stay and I strongly recommend it. Great view, great service, cool drinks!

The views are to die for and especially when San Diego had a heat wave last weekend. Perfect place to enjoy a really expensive cocktail but the California sunshine tax and view make up for it. They open right around sunset time in the winter so it's perfect for you and that special someone to get the night started off right.

Its a rooftop bar. You can see a slither of the field in Petco Park, other than that ..... How is this place in the top 25 bars in the world. Ordered a Goose, Soda Lime Got the Soda and Lime, the other ingredient was missing ! Very weak measure and for a shot of vodka in the mid teens, I want to taste it at least.

The vast majority of the crowd we experienced here was there to watch the Padres game from afar. It's a typical trendyish hotel bar, except on a roof. They have screens that come down out of the trellis and they project a TV feed onto them, but the quality is pretty poor. The coolest part of the bar is actually the fire pit. It's HUGE and there's a decent amount of seating around it.

Great views of San Diego and nice layout but of course drinks are pretty pricey. Easy to get to if you're right next to Omni.

I don't drink but came up here one night with a few coworkers since we were staying here. There's definitely great city views and a nice atmosphere.

Hearing two side of the story about the Gaslamp area, I went here for the mid-day vibe. I got there just as the working class were finishing their day so it was a very chilled place. Great for socializing. It can be slightly pretentious if you are "wet-behind-the-ears", but if you are well traveled, it will be just fine. By far the view is the best thing.

Went here solo during a work-trip just to take a look. Gorgeous view, great ambiance and people watching.

P/P is overrated. I was there at an early evening. Although not many guests were there, the waitress did not pay attention. When I tried to ask the available drinks for my first round she also did not say any single word about Happy Hour. And "surprisingly" she recommended a drink not included in Happy hour.

Busy place but because I was staying in the hotel I did not have to worry about the line to get in. Cool atmosphere and the drinks were great. Great view and the vibe in this place is not to be missed.

Get the in time to watch to watch the fabulous San Diego sunsets! Atop the Marriott! Drinks were good. Great atmosphere! Firepits to keep you warm while you sip!

This is San Diego at its finest. Want a sky view out to Point Loma? Am up close view of Petco Park? A city view downtown with a bar included? That’s Altitude. There’s a special elevator to the bar just for guests. Make sure you don’t come on a Padre home game.. unless you love crowds.

Great view and great service, Brandon the manager was so nice and amazingly friendly . He was patient with us asking him about different places while pointing at it. Thank you Brandon

The rooftop bar was cool. Good view of the stadium if you go during a baseball game. My wife and I went to catch the sunset over San Diego but left a little disappointed. There is no view of the sunset due to the setup of the bar. The drinks were hit and miss. My draft beer was good, albeit a little warm. My wife's mix drink was much too strong for her, she couldn't enjoy it. A little letdown since they cost a premium.

Can see the infield of Petco Park from this outdoor bar. Almost exclusively outdoor seating. Was a little breezy on the day I visited. Not a huge beer selection.

Perfect rooftop bar. Staff is profession. The bartenders, two thumbs up! ! Go for sunset, and bring your camera, you will love the view. There are heat tables, chairs, music, bar, and the view of downtown

Located in the Marriott on the 22nd floor..dont have to be a guest to visit. Amazing city views and a great view of Petco Park. Plenty of seating with fireplaces, great suttle atomsphere.

Loved the service and looking down at Petco stadium for free; on the downside, the place gets REALLY noisy as the sun goes down and the crowd gets a bit on the cheaper side of bars in town. VERY trendy

Had drinks with friends during a recent visit. Perfect spot to get together, cool people, great music and atmosphere and awesome views of the city

Stopped at this roof top bar twice to watch sunset and take photos of skyline and ballpark. Nice place with fire pit and warmers in evening, although drinks were quite expensive. There is no cover charge prior to 7:00 pm. Would be cool to check out during BB game.

Wanted to see the SD skyline and this place was the BEST. Awesome views and great place to have a drink including heated patios. Will definitely be back.

If you think you will take in any of the action at Petco Park on this lounge - you will not. The view is of the bridge and the bay - nice, but there are better. They have drinks - not really any food, except you can order from the restaurant downstairs and room service will bring it up for you. It's OK, but there are better rooftop bars in SD.

Great wiew of the city and Petco Stadium. The environment is perfect to take a drink around a big fire. If you are placed in the hotel you can go directly. Is not cheap but it is worth.

My husband and I stayed in the area and it was recommended that we visit this location. We were so happy that we didn't miss it. This lounge has a great view of the city! It is a great place to grab a drink before heading out on the town and you will not be disappointed if you start or end your evening here. The bartenders are fabulous as well and full of personality....make sure to add this to your list of places you need to stop.

Wow, after checking in to the Marriott, we agreed to meet upstairs for a pre dinner drink at Altitude. A touch chilly but man, what a view of San Diego! Right next door to Petko park, impressive baseball stadium. Plenty of seating with heaters to warm you up. Bar staff are very generous, unlike Aussies.

The views are amazing and of course this place gets packed on weekends and Padre baseball game days. I had a beer and its was $9.00 for a 12 ounce draft. Got the photos right!

View was amazing (both sides of the lounge actually have amazing views. One faces the coronado island and the other faces the downtown skyline. It was very well lit because of the holiday season too. They have fire pit to keep you warm at the roof top which is great. It is a nice set up for formal gatherings its very elegant.Food was ok, nothing special.Very limited choices. I would not complaint about the bar though.

Best place to relax with a view! Amazing views of Petco Park and downtown area. Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she loved it. Atmosphere rooftop is great, as are the drinks the bartenders mix up. Pricey, yes, but what can you expect. Will definitely be back!

The views from the bar are great but that's the only good thing. The place is very busy and loud. Service is professional but unlike the most other bars in the city very unfriendly. The clientele also leave a lot to be desired.

What a cool place. Me and a friends came late on a friday night and there was maybe 20 people in the whole place which was great. No cover that night we went, good music. Bar tender and other staff were very nice. Theres a nice big fire pit and another sitting area with heaters and since it wasnt crowded it was easy to find a seat by the fire. Pretty view of the coronado bridge and great view into the padres stadium

Came here to watch the fireworks on 4th of July. It was crowded, but managed well by the staff. Bartenders were quick and efficient. Waitstaff managed to handle the ground very well. View of the harbor was very good. Only one fireworks barge was visible during the show due to other barges being obscured by other high rise buildings. Net-Net: Decent place to grab a drink and soak in the view.

The view of the city and Petco Park are fantastic. Gets cold with the wind but the fire pits are nice if you can get a seat. Drinks came at a snails pace, don't expect your order to be fulfilled within 30 minutes!

Service was slow just because they only had one waitress serving everyone other than that I will give a five but she did an excellent job of taking care of everyone - beautiful place to watch the sunset or watch a Padre game from the rooftop - the bar food was a hot and tasty - classic flatbread and blueberry-honey barbecue wings

The rooftop was accessible all day, so if you want to take advantage of the view, you don't have to wait for the bar to open. At night the rooftop was very busy, and service was not very friendly, borderline depressing, but attentive. Definitely worth a stop if you are staying in the hotel.

I was recently at your lounge this past Friday night. It was beautiful and the view is great! One thing stood out. Or I should one person. Jennifer one of the bartenders. She makes a GREAT cocktail! Not only that, someone got me the same thing from another bartender and it was nowhere near the drink she made. I took it to her and she made me a new one. You have a Gem! She knows what customer service is all about! She is personable and professional to boot! So anyone looking for a perfectly crafted drink... find her!

We went for the view of the city and some pre-dinner drinks. The bartender was very friendly and was happy to make recommendations. The view did not disappoint and we enjoyed the heating lamps. It made it comfortable even outside at night in January. The happy hour drinks were a great deal, but they were on the pricey side when not in happy hour times.

We checked out this night spot while jumping around the gas lamp district because we heard of the view. It was nice to have a drink overlooking petco park and sitting around a fire pit. Drinks were OK but would come back again.

I stayed at the hotel and visited the lounge for drinks and to check out the views. The views were fantastic. You could see most of Petco park and the bay. I bet people came to watch the baseball. Moreover, it had a lively vibe. It accepted non-hotel guests (a dedicated lift served that purpose) and that made it really jam packed but that only added to the positive energy of the place. I made friends with perfect strangers who bought drinks. Nice cocktails. I didn't eat though but the menu seemed interesting. Others said the food is nice. The vies alone sells this place and cosmopolitan vibe adds to the allure. It's a place to bring friends and have a chat over drinks and a little bite while enjoying the most amazing views from downtown San Diego.

Had a drink and looked at the view, everyone very friendly. They have a fire you can sit around. Smoking cigars allowed! ;-)

It was the first time visiting this rooftop lounge. It is located in the Marriott hotel in downtown San Diego. You take an elevator up to the lounge and get carded as soon as you get there. The views are amazing! You can definitely enjoy the view of the water and even Petco Park. The line to get a drink was a bit long but tends to be typical for San Diego. Prices for a drink are average for San Diego as well. (About $15) Great experience if you want to get some nice views!

This was well worth a visit. At 22 stories, the lounge is quite high for the San Diego skyline. It was well situated, centrally located downtown, but still close to the harbor with nice views of the ocean. The lounge was definitely a bit tired. I went slightly before sunset on a Monday evening; the lounge was not crowded, but didn't really have a hip vibe either. It felt more relaxing than anything. The main draw is the view of Petco Park and the harbor/ocean. There is a lot of space on this side of the lounge, and the bar is located here as well. There is a small room you can enter to get views out the back towards the rest of the San Diego downtown area. This deck is rather small, and the views are still quite charming, but not as stunning as the harbor/ocean. It was free for me to get in, and there was no line. An easy trip. And my cocktail was only $10, right in line with metropolitan city prices.

This place stands up to its reputation!! The views are truly spectacular!!! Could spend hours looking around San Diego!!! Drinks were slightly overpriced for me but probably common for the area!!!
Very cool sky bar
Its a bar with an incredible view, good music, good party, nice cocktails, very strong drinks, good service, in general I’d return happily to that bar. Its a place worth visiting.
