Nice Bar with excellent views

By Beachbum2d |

Excellent evening spent at the bar. Views are amazing, get there for sunset is worth it, as it drops behind the Space Needle Music made the evening. DJ started off with a few tracks and then tailored the playlist to what people seemed to enjoy the most If I had to pick up on one thing, it would be a wider menu of snacks e.g. mozzarella sticks and the like. That's not a complaint, just an observation Overall an excellent evening

Seattle has lost its identity.

Great music. That’s where it stops. Unfriendly servers. No vibe. Another stuffy bar with a bunch of wannabes. Be nice Seattle. You’re failing.

Go for the view

This is a fantastic place to go when the weather is nice and you want to check out a piece of Seattle. Michael was my server. He was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. I dropped the stars to 3 because: The drinks are good but more than I’m used to paying. The menu is very limited. I had a flatbread which was okay. Go for the view, a few drinks and relax!

Expensive and disappointing

By STH2014 |

Portions are small and not inexpensive. My artichoke flatbread had half of an artichoke “petal” - not even half an artichoke. That’s all. Cocktails are outrageously priced. Menu options are meh for pescatarians. And they still use plastic straws.

Stay at the Astra eat here.

When in Seattle for business, I stay at the Astra Hotel. The Altitude Sky Lounge is on top of the Astra. I have had reservations for a party of 5 and 6 canceled within 24 hours three times in 1.5 years because the lounge rented the space out to a private party so guests at the hotel were no longer accommodated nor welcome. Disappointing. I stay there to have dinner there. The food is better than the restaurant on the first floor. Appetizers only, but still the right size for one person. Either the Burratta cheese plate, the meatballs, or any flat bread make a meal. Other options are okay. The menu has evolved since the opening and is improved. Sadly, the lounge is not open every day, nor is it open for lunch. The view is lovely. The service is okay not outstanding. Prices high but for the city area they are average. The food is good and atmosphere is lovely.

Great evening at Altitude Sky Lounge. My husband and I visited and toasted my dad who passed away 22 years ago.Thank you to Taylor and staff for the very thoughtful sympathy card. HUGE thank you to Elizabeth who made the evening so memorable. I highly recommend the Altitude Sky Lounge.

Outstanding View - Terrible Service

This is a beautiful bar on top of the Astra Hotel in South Lake Union. The views are outstanding and it's somewhat exclusive to get a reservation. Although it's beautiful, the service is very slow, and the staff is not very welcoming when you check in.

Multiple views from the lounge

I enjoyed the Sky Lounge. I had reservations and it was a good day to sit outside. The menu is a q code or regular menu which matches up to the website. Customer service was cordial and we met the GM as he was helping server and cleanup along with the staff. The bartenders were very friendly with an inviting atmosphere. It wasn’t loud and you can have an enjoyed conversation without noise interruptions. The bathroom has a hand dryer in the sink along with the soap and water. Very reasonable price for the area. Amazon building next door offers free Parking after a certain hour and the street trolley (not light rail) from downtown runs in front of building.

Best Rooftop Bar & Restaurant on Planet Earth!

By Haddon A |

The Altitude Skyview lounge in Seattle is absolutely the most incredible restaurant and bar I’ve ever attended in my 57 trips around the sun! The service and hospitality and courtesy of the entire staff, namely Halo behind the bar and her Assistant Manager Eden, were simply impeccable and unparalleled, even for the Marriott Brand. I flew five hours from Charleston SC to come to Seattle and take in the magnificent Pacific Northwest and they made me feel like I was in my own hometown and welcomed me with a smile and a personable service that you can’t even fathom, even in the hospitality industry, to the point where I just did not want to leave regardless of the stated closing time. They are an asset to the Astra Hotel Team and to Marriott International Inc, and I highly recommend visiting this incredible hotel and rooftop bar and restaurant just to experience their remarkable commitment to their customers and an experience you’ll never forget!

Great View, Otherwise Average

First, although I've only given a three star rating, I would still recommend Altitude Sky Lounge for the view. We had a 7:30pm reservation in July and sat outside. One of our seats stared directly at the sun; no one's fault but also not ideal until the sun began to set. Our waitress was friendly but when we went to order we were told that drinks were fine but the chef was not ready to take food orders yet. I'm not sure why this was the case but we couldn't submit a food order for about 30 minutes. When the food did arrive, portions were very small. On a more positive note, we did not feel rushed to leave and were able to see the sunset. I would still come back here again, but would not have high expectations of the overall service experience.

A gem in the Emerald City

As rooftops go, this is one you won’t want to miss. Absolutely amazing city views, attentive, friendly informative staff and fantastic drinks and lite snacks.

Views & Vibes, but a Bit Too Posed

By Beyond Borders |

Altitude Sky Lounge is undeniably a feast for the eyes those panoramic views steal the show, especially as the sun dips below the horizon, casting warm golds and deep blues across the skyline. It’s the kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence just to take it all in. Cocktails here are a real treat too. Thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and honestly, just the right refreshment to enjoy with such a stellar backdrop. Every sip felt like a little reward for making it to such heights. That said, the food left a bit to be desired. It’s not bad, but it plays second fiddle to the drinks and scenery more of a filler than a feature. And the overall vibe? Very curated. The crowd seemed geared toward the “see and be seen” type, with plenty of people angling for that perfect influencer shot. Not a dealbreaker, but it definitely shapes the energy of the place. A solid spot for sunset drinks and skyline views, just go in knowing it’s more about the scene than the full experience.
