Near home and work so I eat here on a regular basis. But tonight was a special birthday dinner with family. I ordered a mezze platter, the Lebanese Supreme Feast, the vegetarian biryani and the chicken pistachio salad and it was a big hit with my guests. The ambience, mezze (kebeh, koufta, chicken kabob) and service - everything was excellent!

Great ambiance, good food, one of the few places I've found that does lamb well. And their wraps may be a bit small but they supplement with really good soup. Nice people working there and that makes the difference. If they added a bit of size to their wraps, or lowered prices for takeout, 5 stars.

Everything was excellent and fresh. We already eat too much mediterranean takeout where I'm from, so we only got this because we were hungry and it was close. This place has now set the standard for all the same dishes back home. Oops.

Good all round experience with excellent service and very good food. Was taken there as a treat by a couple (from Jordan and Iran) who are very discerning about food. We had a pile of stuff, Hummus Lamb and Chicken Kebabs. It was all good. Portions were reasonable and the price ok for what we had. We were there for lunch before 12 and the place soon filled up. Like most of San Diego parking was tight as almost all of a large parking lot was already full at 11.35 AM. Will go back and take my sons.

We go to this restaurant often. The food is always fresh and delicious. There was a mixup once in our order and they offered us complimentary dessert. Very professional and attentive staff.

A family restaurant with traditional Lebanese fare. Authentic flavors. I am not a lentil soup guy, but this lentil soup converted me. Great soup, very filling, fresh, consistent flavors. Chicken shawarma wrap is also highly recommended.

We have been here for lunch and for dinner. We have been large crowds and just a few. Food is always fresh and delicious. For appetizers you can't beet the hummus and the cauliflower tagen. My favorite wrap is the zatar wrap. But the chicken shawarma is also great. Wraps come with a choice of salad (with a great oil and lemon dressing), lentil soup, rice or fries. I never get to dessert cause I'm always too full. Love this place!

The servers are very friendly and the food delicious! We love the Baba Ghanouj is freshly made and oh so good! The pizzas are all good and made on pita bread. Chicken Schwerma on the pizza or as the entree is also excellent. I don't have a favorite as I like it all! I come here so often but the food is consistently good, the only problem is service can get slow when it's busy. They are sometimes understaffed and the menu can be a little pricey on the entrees.

It was a last minute decision to grab a meal and we decided on this place. Great decision! It is a hidden gem of a small family place to get good food and with excellent service. The falafels were huge and very delicious. Th kefta wrap was great and the rice is even better. The chicken shawarma was good too and so was the eggplant stew with rice and the spinach pastries. The star finale was the Kenafeh with cheese and so so good, I wish I had more! We had such a good time and enjoyed the food. The waiters Christian and Jesse are the BEST!! We highly recommend this place and would love to visit it again next time we are in San Diego.

wonderful middle eastern food. The servers are so sweet and helpful with menu recommendations. They have half size appetizers and salads, everything was delicious!

This is my favorite restaurant in San Diego (together with sister restaurant Aladdin in Hillcrest). I come here regularly and the food is consistently fresh, healthy and delicious. My favorites (I am vegetarian) are the baba ganoush, Lebneh with garlic, tzatziki, tabbouleh and the garlic sauce (the best!!!). The fresh pita is DELICIOUS. The wraps are also great. Entrees are huge. Servers are warm, friendly, like family! Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner, for family or work! And takeout too!

Amardeen is situated in a small strip mall close to Westfield UTC shopping center. At peak times, such as lunch, it can be difficult to find a parking spot.At least during the week. The entire strip mall is small and several of the tenants are restaurants so it gets busy around lunch time. The restaurant itself is pretty basic. Simple decor inside with a Middle Eastern flavor ( naturally) and a few tables outside, marked off from what is basically the side walk with a few shrubs in large pots. The food, which let's face it, is what its about for lunch is excellent. The menu is extensive with a good number of vegetarian options. Portions are large, food is well prepared and tastes great! Service tends to be a little on the slow side for a quick lunch but worth the wait.Everything is cooked to order to a wait is to be expected. We had a party of 9 , everyone's food was served at pretty much the same time, it was all well presented, hot and looked and tasted great. Maybe a little on the expensive side to eat there every day but the portions are large enough , you could probably skip dinner that night or get a doggy bag. The minor issues with the slow service and finding a place to park should not deter you from trying Amardeen. If time is not an issue then well worth a visit.

It turns out this is a sister restaurant to Aladdin in Hillcrest. The menu is the same. I had the lamb biryani which was very tasty. The combination of lamb with almonds and cinnamon gave a flavor I had never experienced before; savory and sweet together works very well in this dish. The serving was quite large and whereas at the beginning I thought I wouldn't be eating it all, I ate the whole thing on the spot! It comes with yogurt which is good for putting on the food or dipping pita bread in. My friends ordered tabouleh. I am always leery of tabouleh because I don't like it when there is too much parsley. This tablouleh had too much parsley for my taste. I had been wanting to try this restaurant ever since I heard about it so I'm glad I finally got the chance.

My wife and I were in town visiting friends and I wanted them to experience Lebanese food. A group of four of us went for dinner about 6 pm in the middle of the week and had the hummus. Babganoug and Kibeh as appetizers and mixed grill as the mean course. We loved every dish and I had left over to take home. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was causal but good. We repeated the experience Saturday and invited 8 of our friends and the food and service were outstanding. I know what Lebanese food should taste like having been borne in the Middle East and this food is as good if not better that I had there.

Really mediocre-The falafel wrap was very dry the grill chicken kebabs were tasteless and the shish kebabs was very bland-I was really looking forward to going to a non-chain type Restaurant to get some good Lebanese cuisine but this didn’t do it for me-

Fantastic lebanese cuisine- we tried a bunch of chicken kabobs, with falaffel and shwarama. The food was delicious and flavorful - the portions were decent and filling. The kefir yogurt drink was delicious too. In all a great family experience.

We’re saying goodbye to our friends as we leave tomorrow. They suggest Amardeen. We’ve been here before but I Have to say I’m more impressed now. Two of us start with the lintel soup. It tastes much like mine, homemade, just the right thickness. We share the appetizer falafel. For me it’s awfully deep fried so I have only two balls, adding the. radishees, tomatoes and pita with the tahini sauce. There’s more than enough to share and take Home. My husband is pleased with his shawarma of beef and lamb, questioning why we don’t come more often. Our last friend has shrimp biryani , his usual. All good. They say hi to their rabbi and his wife! Service is great even though it’s after 7 when we arrive.

Second time visiting this place and wanted to try their falafel. I was disappointed! It was too dense and lacked flavors. I liked the fries but that was it.

I’ve been coming to Amardeen for 3 years at least once a week. I bring my coworkers and friends alike to this place. The customer service is stupendous. Very attentive, welcoming, and they provide a family feeling. The food is incredibly delicious and the price for the food is very reasonable. They have some interesting art on the walls that you could stare at for hours. They have an indoor and outdoor area. The outdoor area has umbrellas to provide some shade from this beautiful San Diego weather. Try the chicken kabob wrap and hummus. I love this place.

Very close to Renaissance condos in the small mall , one finds several very good little restaurants: Amardeen, that serves middle eastern and Lebanese is one and is a very very good choice. I order falafel and it is nicely composed , not too hot or spicy. It comes with a variety of selections but I have salad that pairs very well with my crunchy and tasteful wrap. At the table, we have shrimp buryani which is also well composed with good-sized shrimp, crunchy almonds, jasmine rice all well seadoned. One guest tries the lamb kabobs announcing there is quite a bit of lamb and very tasteful.the atmosphere is relaxed , low- key in this family owned and run restaurant. It kinda feels a bit like home and as new to the city, we will add Amardeen to our list of recommendations.

This is the worst restaurant I’ve tried since i came to USA! Read in the reviews here about the lintle soup and shawrma,so I decided to try it.. Lintle soup is terrible.. Shawrma does not taste like shawrma at all Chicken kabab is not tasty! Flafel doesn’t taste like flafel! Everything is not tasty ..pricy restaurant.. Don’t waste your money Never again

What a good Lebanese restaurant. We had delicious wraps and the staff were really friendly and very attentive. I do suggest you go there while in San Diego.

My husband and I shared a platter of chicken swarma, taboulle, falafel, homemade pita, pickles, olives, and peppers with various dips of hummus, babaganoush, tahini, and garlic. Everything was delicous especially the chicken swarma, homemade pita bread, hummus and garlic spread. Cost was around $30 and platter normally comes with chicken swarma and lamb swarma however we only wanted chicken. Chicken portion was not that big so if you do not eat much meat it is enought to share. They are generous with other side dishes. Service was great and friendly staff.

I ate here with a friend who thought that it would be a nice change of pace in restaurants. I had a Lebanese beer that was recommended. It was terrible. The chicken dish was overdone and the sides were greasy. I don't understand how others gave this place such a good rating. There are four restaurants next door that are better.
Terrific Meza and Friendly Service
Our large family group enjoyed dinner here recently. Some ordered the delicious lentil soup and everyone shared some meza platters. It was a real treat to have freshly made humus, dolmas, and baba ghanouj! Everything was tasty and flavorful. We also enjoyed the refreshing Lebanese beer. Good food plus friendly and attentive service helped make this a really enjoyable evening for all.
