Staff were all super nice, even the bus boy. Great variety on the menu and nothing really overpriced. Quality of mixed cocktails was excellent. Food and service both very fast but they didn’t rush you out but allowed to sit and relax. Will definitely be going back.

Amazing food and ambiance. The service was impeccable and the cocktails were delicious. I enjoyed the entire dinning experience and the staff was extremely pleasant and friendly.

My husband was excited to try out Amaya. We loved enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant! It’s unique. We had a nice server and she was responsive however the bar was slow and our drinks came after our food. The server responded to this appropriately. :) oh and the busser was friendly and responsive. I ordered the avocado tacos and Mexican street corn. I had thought the server said the tacos came with beans and rice but I must have misheard her bc it was only 2 small Tacos on the plate so I was glad I ordered the corn too. Portions appeared to be very small for the price but I ended up feeling full at the end of it all! Idk if it’s from the fat in the avocado and mayo in the corn or what! Flavors were very good. My husband ordered fajitas and was very happy with his dish and portion size. His espresso martini tasted moderately spicy (???) which we were confused by. We read the menu and the martini didn’t seem to list any spicy ingredients so I’m not sure what’s going on there. Fire dancers came out during the meal which was a fun little performance. Overall we would definitely return here. *we made our reservations about 1 week in advance.

Horrible experience last night at this restaurant. We made a reservation for 7:00 PM. I have eaten in just about every restaurant in this town. I have never had such bad service in my life. I rarely write bad things about restaurants but this was so bad it deserves attention. It took 45 minutes for our first round of drinks. That’s absurd. Then only 6 of the 8 arrived and two in our party got their drinks when the food finally arrived. It would have been nice to enjoy them with the appetizers. We couldn’t ever find our waitress to even ask about anything. She is a pro at disappearing. We were told everything was family style. I’m sorry but if two tiny tacos is “family” style then your customers are all going to leave hungry. That was a total misrepresentation of your portion sizes and a really unethical upsell on the restaurant’s part. You also include zero utensils to be able to enjoy them family style. Why should we have to beg for spoons and forks to dish out the portions to everyone? We ordered one thing of guac and confirmed we only wanted one. You brought us two by mistake and then charged us for both. Then our chips constantly ran out because the food took forever to arrive. The sides of rice arrived after we were done with our entrees so those were a total waste of money for us. Those need to come out with the food. We wanted more drinks and those took forever to arrive. My lobster enchiladas had some kind of weird mayonnaise taste in them. This isn’t typical of enchiladas. Your restaurant is super noisy and the dancing is weird and unnecessary. We didn’t realize it was going to be like a night club where we had to shout across the table to hear anything. Totally unnecessary when we are trying to relax and have a nice dinner with family we haven’t seen in a very long time. This is nowhere listed on your website as we wouldn’t have booked this had we known there was going to be a DJ right next to our table. We were there for 2.5 hours and spent a lot of money and left feeling completely ripped off. Not a place people need to visit if you come to Vegas.

We recently dined at Amaya, and unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations. The tableside chips and salsa were fine. They were enjoyable but not memorable. The rest of the meal, however, was mediocre at best. I ordered the fajitas and my wife had the enchiladas. Both dishes lacked freshness and depth of flavor. The tortillas tasted commercially made and somewhat stale, which immediately took away from the meal. Overall, the food reminded us of a Chevy’s restaurant from years past rather than a modern dining experience in a high-end Las Vegas resort. Given the setting and pricing, we expected more attention to quality and execution. While the service was acceptable, the food alone would not be enough to bring us back. Amaya has potential, but based on this visit, it did not deliver a dining experience that matched its location or reputation.

Oh my gosh, absolutely beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious! We enjoyed the guacamole, queso, and salsa at first and we really could have left full and happy after that. But no, we stayed for more and so happy we did! I had the chicken taquitos. I am not a fan of anything very spicy and these were perfect. I appreciate our waitress and the bartender who customized a drink for me - delicious!

During my last night in Las Vegas, decided to go to Amaya Modern Mexican restaurant located in the Cosmopolitan. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, across from Marquee Entrance and Block 16. Arrived 20 minutes prior to my reservation, and was immediately taken to my table. You do not realize how big this restaurant is until you walk inside. Not even getting comfortable in our seats, a waiter appeared and presented us with homemade tortilla chips and salsa. Tortilla chips were great and the homemade salsa was great. You could taste the fresh ingredients in the salsa, with a little bit of heat. While waiting for our drinks, we browsed the menu. They have an extensive list of Mexican food items. Within 15 minutes of ordering, we were served our meals. Both the meals were great. I would though recommend the Quesabirria Tacos and Sizzling Fajitas. Both items were juicy, fresh, cooked well and delicious. Size of the fajitas were enough that we could share between us. Prices are quite reasonable for being on the Las Vegas Strip. It will also depend on what you are interesting in. Cost about $75 with drinks for the 2 of us. The place is clean and staff are friendly throughout our stay. The waiter was around when we needed him, enough though he was kept busy with our customers. I will go back the next time. Though I would recommend making a reservation.

I hate writing reviews like this, but we were not able to actually dine here due to the hostess staff (like 4-5 of them hovered around the front stand) giving our reservation to someone else (while we were standing there), failing to apologize to us, and seating a different party of 2 (that had just walked up) even after they realized their mistake. 20 minutes after our reservation we finally told them we were leaving. Such a poor reflection on The Cosmopolitan. My advice: skip this place and try and find the secret pizza place or the secret ski lodge speakeasy.

Food was good and our waiter was friendly however the host staff indifference set the bar low and the noise and weird vibe made this place kind of unappealing. On the plus side, I found the portions more than enough and 2-3 small plates with chips and salsa is more than enough food for a couple

Slow service even when a bunch of empty tables but the wait staff is very friendly. Food is decent but quite small portions

…and maybe even slightly better! The food and the service were off the scale. We loved it. Elienai was our server and she was spectacular. We literally could not fault this place. Also, the desserts were something else (pictured)

Who is writing these reviews? This restaurant is fantastic with maybe the best carne asada and elote street corn I've ever had. Even their chips & salsa were amazing which is just an afterthought at most places. We sat at the bar and enjoyed great drinks and service as well. I will say that I will return to Vegas and NOT eat here at Amaya.

My title says it all. Also they are serious about cancelling. If you call within 24 hours of your reservation to cancel, they will charge your card $50!

Amaya Modern Mexican is seriously overpriced for what you get. Portions are small across the board and don’t come close to justifying the prices. Credit where it’s due—the barbacks were attentive and professional—but the bartenders were another story: dismissive and arrogant, which really killed the experience. Plenty of better Mexican options in Vegas that offer real value and better service. Not coming back.

This restaurant is fairly new and in a good location at the Cosmopolitan. The decor is nice, but a bit dim, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good, but the portions were very small and the prices were high. I had a tuna entree that cost $54 for about eight thinly sliced pieces. The tuna and the sauce it was in was tasty, but the small portion was disappointing.

Tough to find a sit down place for breakfast in Vegas. We had excellent and friendly service from our waitress. Chips and salsa were excellent. Rancho huevos was delicious! Breakfast burrito and huevos Benedictos came with sides of potatoes. Big servings!

Food was great, but service and atmosphere didn't match. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar - where we waited a considerable time to order, and then pay. The bar staff were incredibly busy, so it wasn't due to being inattentive, they just needed more bar tenders. When we finally sat down, late, it took longer than acceptable for us to be brought a menu, and after receiving our food quickly after ordering, service was very slow. The restaurant itself looks lovely, but is is so dark and noisy, it is difficult to cold a conversation. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return, even though the fajitas were incredible!

It was amazing. We went for my best friend's birthday and the staff was so accommodating. It was a great experience. I didn't get a picture of the pineapple dessert but that and the churro tree were my favorite.

Food was amazing!!!! Service not so much. Our waiter was Colton. He was a very nice guy but not attentive at all. We had to keep asking the guy giving us water to call him to our table. The food was really good the lobster tacos amazing!! I would definitely visit again.

Mid level experience. Drinks were okay. Waited way too long for tacos; manager came to our table and others to apologize for the delay. The salsa for chips was really good. I ordered grilled fish tacos (sea bass) and they were mediocre at best with dry rice and okay beans side. Price was $24 for 2 tacos. We ate here out of convenience only. I’d try something with more bang for the buck if needed.

We chose this newly opened restaurant for our Wedding anniversary dinner while staying at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. It was an excellent choice...Service was great, attentive but not intrusive, and the food and drinks were excellent. We had complimentary chips/Salsa (very big portion)...followed by main courses of the beef rib for him and Lobster enchiladas for me, both were delicious. For desert we had to try their signature Golden Godess, which we shared...brought to our table on a plinth complete with dry ice, it was a showstopper that turned heads, plus it was the best chocolate based dessert ive ever eaten. so many textures, light but really decadent. coupled with the very tasty Gin&sage cocktails - This was one if not the best meal we've had in ages and we will definitely return again at Christmas on our return trip.

The food was average. Service was good, friendly and pleasant however the food quality could have been better. The tacos i ordered were too cheezy for my liking. The drinks i ordered were filled mostly with ice. I literally finished my $20 cocktail in 5-6 sips.

Staff on the front desk made the vibe weird immediately. Made us walk away and wait for 15 minutes, even though the restaurant was dead. Waiter, Brandon was nice, although i think he may have been a robot, he was also wearing meta glasses that mede us feel uncomfortable. Food was bang average, nothing stood out at all, very bland, no authentic flavour - just super super average. Was also ill afterwards.

Great Mexican food located in the Cosmo. Went to Amaya for lunch last week. Got seated right a way with outstanding customer service. Our drink was great but the oyster dish was one of the best I have ever had. Burrito was just ok but the other food was very good . Again good service and good food. Will be back

We tried to eat here for lunch on January 31. The website said they served lunch until 3:00pm. We approached the hostess desk at 12:51pm. She quickly, and not so friendly, informed us that the kitchen stopped taking orders at 1:00pm, they stopped seating at 12:45pm and that I could return tomorrow for lunch. We were staying at the Cosmopolitan and still wanted Mexican food for lunch and someplace close. We walked over to Aria and ate at Javier's for lunch. I highly recommend Javier's, friendly staff, plenty of seating and delicious lunch and margs!

Service was appalling. We had our starters waited a while for our main course which never arrived. Server didn’t even realise we hadn’t had it as she asked if we wanted dessert 🤦♀️. Very disappointed as it was our last night. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Poor customer service and the Mexican flavor was not there. We were a group. We did not get the food at the same time; 3 people ate their food before it was cold and then another 4 people got their food, and so on. The drinks were bad, I know exactly how a Michelada should be done right. The food was missing the flavors of Mexico. Example: I know about food; the sauce was tomato paste for sure, like pizza sauce. A fajita was served and a huge tortilla bowl, bigger than my plate with only 4 very small flour tortillas inside the bowl, very sad. I asked the host since I had a discount for dinner, and she said yes. The server said no discount available afterward, and the manager showed up with a contract which I was not aware, and nobody signed any contract at the entrance of my group, and no contract was post it at the entrance as a warning sign. What was going on! Very disappointed. I advise you to try the other restaurants in the casino instead, I went to the other ones, and the service was great, no misleading information and the food taste would be what it is. Note: We did not argue, or cause any trouble, no need to waste my time longer in there, there was nothing to say, paid the bill and left. I gave one start because the place looks very nice.

After walking around all of the food choices in the cosmopolitan we decided on Amaya. The menu is loaded with amazing options, so the toughest part is choosing what to order. We picked the Fajita's with Steak, sides of Spanish rice and Street corn. (don't miss the corn) The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Very easy to get to if you stay at Aria, Vdara, Bellagio, or Cosmopolitan.

Wish I could leave no stars as it was that bad. We were party of six and took forever to get our drinks.. server took our orders and 45 minutes later we finally got our food and wasn’t even busy and came out sporadically. Mine was the last to be served and was cold. So was another ones In Our party. When server finally came back we both asked for ours to be reheated as we were all starving. Everyone was pretty much done when we got our food back and mine was covered in sauce that I asked to be on the side so I could not even eat it. Server gave us our checks and she told me I got a little discount due to the situation. I told her I was not paying for my food as I took only two bites as eggs were now way overcooked and swimming in sauce! She went to go find a manager as we never say one and I headed to the Starbucks downstairs as I was livid. Came back with my coffee and my group were still waiting to pay! I then was told by a young hostess that I had to leave as they don’t allow outside food and beverage in the restaurant… what the?? I left, and can’t believe was treated that way as I am in the industry in Florida. Very poor customer service for a great hotel where we were staying to celebrate my best friends 50th birthday.

Great New Mexican restaurant at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas. Amaya is one of the Best Mexican restaurants I’ve eaten at in the United States. Great mix of traditional Mexican food reimagined with a Modern Twist. The staff was great, and our server Gabi was awesome. We had a great time

Went for brunch but left before being served due to the rude behavior by the hostess and manager. I had the feeling that they were not having a good day as we were not treated well, especially given that we are frequent visitors to Las Vegas and have dined here before.

The menu and flavors if they are very Mexican!; Not only the essence the presentation and the best of all the seasoning very good!; Aguachile is very well prepared with proper acidity and without so much itching that would make it inedible and the burrito surf/turf to repeat - Congratulations great option!

Tried Amaya (inside Cosmopolitan) for lunch. We wanted a booth but for some reason there is nowhere to leave requests in the reservation system, but I spoke to one of the hosts when we got there and she was very accommodating. The menu is really nice, we started with some guacamole/salsa with tortilla chips (excellent guacamole) and some duck tacos. For mains I had the steak fajitas and my wife had the chicken tortilla salad. We also took a side of the Mexican corn. One thing to mention... the salad is massive! It seemed more like a sharing portion. It was very nice and the fajitas were fantastic, I would say with some confidence that they are the best fajitas I've ever had. The steak was soft and cooked perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive and never over-bearing. Seemed well run and very professional. It is undoubtedly very pricey... but I think you can accept this in Vegas as long as the food and service is to a high standard, which it definitely is at Amaya. Would recommend.
Another excellent meal @ Amaya
We love the food at this restaurant and our Christmas Day dinner was no exception. The cocktails are great - the free chips and salsa were as good as ever. we had queso to start and main meals were the carne asada fajitas and the shrimp tacos - delicious. For desert we shared the churro tree which were slightly over cooked but still lovely, especially when dipped in the delicious dulce leche dipping sauce...Great service by our waiter who also suggested a nice spicy margarita for my husband.
