My wife and I went for the first time to a restaurant called Amelias’s 1931 that has the same owner as Finka. The place is small, a little loud, service is nice but slow, but the food, the food is spectacular. I ordered a dish called “General Tso Alligator Fried Rice” and it was excellent, and the desert was something out of this world named “timba”. It has guava marmalade on top, in the middle cheese cream with coconut mouse and at the bottom small pieces of guava. The wait was worth it.

Went to dinner at Amelia’s 1931 with the family but we were not impressed. The servings were on the small side and a bit pricey. The restaurant is tiny, and a band was coming to play that night, and as they brought in their equipment it was loud and claustrophobic. We had been to their sister restaurant Finca and liked it very much, but Amelia’s 1931 was not for us.

We have been going to Finka for a while and decided to try Amelia's. It is a very small and very loud atmosphere. The food is ok but Finka is much better. Don't know if I would return.

Amazing new restaurant by well known Chef Eileen Andrade, owner of Finka Table And Tap. Beautiful cozy Cuban diner with a variety of food items that are bursting with flavors. Definitely a must!!!!

My husband came on Saturday and loved it so much we came back on Sunday for brunch. We sat at the bar for a more relaxed feel, as the restaurant is not too big. The staff is amazing and awesome at recommending dishes. Jocelyn took her time to recommend her top faves. Not one thing disappointed. They also have a great beer selection and the decor matches perfect with the theme of this restaurant. We shared the Cuban tots ( a must! ) the chicken salad sandwich, cold but refreshing and full of taste and none the less- the sushi poke bento box. Great take on your traditional sushi and SOOO good! Every item on the menu will keep me coming back for more.

We ordered 3 different plates and every one of them was completely delicious. Let's add Sangria and Mimosa and the rest is history.

Very good food, service and ambiance. The only problem I see is that the place is very small witch leads to some possible waiting to be seated.

I actually had a reservation but did not eat there. There was a sign at the door that said no shorts were allowed. A guy came to the reception desk and said No. Then 5 minutes later the girl in the reception said that we would be seated in a small table at the end of the bar. My husband had a bermuda short 12 inches long and a nice long sleeve shirt. No where in their advertisements nor the internet says anything about shorts not being allowed. We were very embarrased and disappointed. Will never recommend this restaurant to any of my friends/acquaintances. A local tv reporter reviewed the place and gave it high ratings. She did not mentioned either that no shorts were allowed.

Celebrating three birthdays, we were a total of 28 people. Roxy was amazing. I made the reservation with Roxy professional very nice when we arrive at the table was ready. The waitress was super nice super professional. She took everyone’s order correctly and the staff was amazing. We always had water in our table. The food was super super good. I love this Cargo. I love them fish croquettes that cappuccino was amazing. I had the fish with black beans and vegetable, which was really good and my husband had the ribeye. Everyone in our group was very pleased with the service and the food. The place is very nice. They had live music. I recommend Amelia 1931 for couples for family for celebrations. We had a wonderful time.

Small little cozy restaurant in a corner of a shopping mall - a true jewel .. menu is small but exquisite : creative delicious mix of Latin and Asian dishes , like Cuban Nachos ( made with plantains , not chips ) .., and Bento box . Even the House wine is excellent

I have not been to a place like this that was not located in downtown Miami. The decor is very lounge, speakasy, 1920´s vibe. It is not that big of a place, and it does get busy, so I would recommend getting a reservation. Food, cocktails, and live entertainment are great!. For the price you get all this for, it is truly one of my favorite places now!

Overall great experience. Be sure to make a reservation; we did not and had to sit at the bar. The food was pretty good but a bit overpriced for what you got. We ordered the filet mignon skewers as an appetizer and they were pretty small. The main dishes were pretty good. We got he lomo saltado and the shrimp pad Thai. Both pretty good. The timba was a bit weird as it was guava marmalade with a cheese cream and coconut shavings. Probably would have been better without the coconut shavings.

This place was a gem! Wasn’t expecting such a cool atmosphere in a very unassuming shopping strip. The minute you walk into this speakeasy-like restaurant, you forget where you are. The service was fantastic. Evan, our waiter was the best we’ve encountered in a while. Drinks and food are outstanding. Highly recommend it, we will be coming back very soon!

Tried something new and kept eyes on this place for a while. since it was a late lunch, we walked in and boy was it a small space (20-25) max. since all the tables were taken we were offered the booth and sat down quickly. after having the waiter LEO tend to us, we found that he is the general manager, waiter, and busboy. the beginning was the malanga tots which was delicious. the main dish was Korean BBQ bento box didn't disappoint, the other dish was the Camarones enchilados jambalaya. both dishes were delicious and just enough. I can say that for Leo being the only server, there were no complaints and he was very attentive. we were very happy with the service, food and atmosphere and will be returning for the grand opening in Nov 2022 for the expansion of this restaurant. for a cozy experience, go here and enjoy!

As a Bartender my self in this city I noticed that exceptional service was not a priority at this establishment, in addition we both got food poisoning from eating one of their appetizers.

Chef Eileen does and incredible job and incorporating Korean and Peruvian Flare into Classic Cuban Cooking! Went to Amelia’s for my birthday, and food was absolutely delicious! Mostly had the specials, A Whole Fresh Buttered 1lb Maine lobster with their classic Parm Risotto.. omg to die for...But from their main Menu, you have to try their croquettes, Yuca Tots, Steamed Bun Sandwiches ( loved the Korean bbq), Korean Bbq Chix Box.. and dessert..ahhh blondieBrownie with dulce leche ice cream was great, but I’m a coconut Fan and so I really enjoyed the Coconut Moose with Guava, everywhere! MAKE RESERVATIONS, as this small place gets full quickly after 6:30 on saturdays! Enjoy! 😋

If you like Finka Table & Tap but want something more intimate...THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! It's all the greatness of Finka's delicious dish designs but in a more quaint enviroment...you cannot go wrong!

Big fan of sister restaurant Finka so I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t like it as much. Very pleased with the ambiance and service but the food was not what I have come to expect from them. The appetizers were really good but the main courses...not so much. The Alligator Fried Rice was overly sweet but the Alligator itself was good. Too much pineapple and red peppers overpowering the dish. I was asked by our waiter why I hadn’t eaten very much of it so I explained and he automatically took it off the bill which was very unexpected and very nice of them since I hadn’t asked. A couple of other people at the table had the Steak Sandwich and it was a bit dry. Very small place also so be careful what day of the week you go and how big a party you have because you may have to wait a long time to be seated. I’m glad I tried it but I will stick with Finka in the future which I LOVE!!

Tucked away in a nondescript shopping plaza in west Miami-Dade County, you'll find Ameila's 1932. Offering intriguing versions (by way of infusing Korean and Peruvian elements) of cuban standard. I had the Korean Frita (Frita is a cuban version of a hamburger) UNBELIEVABLE... Great selection of craft beers, unique cocktails, to die for desserts.. Oh, I'll be back and give the rest of the menu a thorough test drive. And I'm willing to bet, once you go, will be back too....

This place is small!! The tables are right next to each other and it can get get quite loud inside. The food was very flavorful and nicely presented. The malanga tots and jambalaya were excellent as well as my wife's korean frita burger. Left full and happy. I would not return to eat in the restaurant but will definitely be using Uber eats to order from here.

Great food in a great environment. Can’t say enough of what a great experience we had here. Will be back for more.

Criollo cooking, fusion cooking is at the heart of Latin American food. Influences come from the Old World and blend in local foods. It is comfort food for many Hispanics. The 21st century Hispanic is growing up with Chinese food in the fridge so when Amelia's throws a Korean Bun at you and offers plantains on the side.....well, its' love. You don't have to be a fan of Cuban food to eat here. You don't need to be a fan of Asian food. This is nouveau soul food for people of varied tastes.

We went to this restaurant on a whim for date night with the friends. Let me tell you this place far exceeded what I was expecting. The food was maybe one of the best I have ever had in Miami. My plate was an ox tail with tamel en cásela. Again I will say one of the best I have ever had when it comes to ox tail. The appetizers, cocktails, desserts were all exceptional. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a fusion of different foods. Just the way I enjoy my dinners to be. Everyone in our group enjoyed their plates, one had the halibut with a black bean puree, again all I can say is wow.

What can I say but Wow!! The Ahi Tuna bento box was tasty and fresh large portion . The beef burger with chorizo and fries was excellent and the malanga tot were crappy yummy . Oh yea and the coconut cheese cake finger licking good Must go and try this amazing food

We regularly come here as a family and usually sit at a table. Tonight we sat at the bar with a direct view of the kitchen. I must say bignorance is bliss. I didn’t know the microwave was the cooking method of choice. The arroz con pollo fritters were “microwaved”... ok I can possibly let this one slide but my steak sandwich was “microwaved”!! Not even place on flat top....Personally going out to get your dinner heated in microwave was not what I expected. On a positive note, the service was good and it is the only reason I am giving them 3 stars. I wish I would’ve not sat by the kitchen so I could keep believing things were actually being traditionally cooked and not heated

While a little bit expensive, the service and staff are excellent. The food is always prepared fresh in front of us!

By chance we ended up here on our journey from NC to the Keys. Best meal and service in a long time!

This small unassuming restaurant sits in a corner of a very busy shopping center. Don’t let that keep you from going in and trying their wonderful menu which is a fusion of Peruvian, Korean and Cuban foods and staples. We had the Malanga Tots with Vaca Frita and the Ahí Tuna Bento Box, both very tasty and different. For dessert the white chocolate brownie with coconut shavings and mermelada de guayaba was amazing!. I will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!.

Chef Andrade is a magnificent artist. Born in the US yet with strong Cuban heritage our version of Cuba does not exist. It is past down to us from our parents and grandparents. Deceptively looking like a typical staple restaurant in a plaza but when walking in...BOOM. A place in our imagination with everything Cuban visually yet with a Korean twist. Food is outstanding and the service is one of the best I have had. I love the extensive beer list and the wines by the glass. The Chardonnay is the closest I have tasted to a Chablis and the Pelirroja is the best Miami beer I have had. This place is not to be missed. Hurry before the lines start.

Don' let the strip mall fool you. The quality here rivals anything you might find in Brickell or South Beach. Really enjoyed the food, ambience and service at this spot. Refreshingly unique and with lots of personality and culinary point of view, it stands out for just about anything within a 10 mile radius. Daily specials and revolving selection of craft beers gives plenty of reason for coming back.

We visited today the restaurant, small place, nice environment, we order vegetarian fried rice fusion between korean & latin style, churrasco, the cheff costumized my order, I’m spaicy alergy, the other order was chicken sandwich, all was fresh & delicious, the service was extremely professional, waiter name Noah, we recommended to enjoy a different taste

While the other family restaurants are great this one did not impress. Quite frankly kind of disappointing. We walked in and stood by the door. No one ever helped us. Once I asked for a table that was empty I was told by the guy with tattoos on his neck ( don’t know his name ) that table is reserved you can sit outside. Not the kind of answer I was expecting on my first visit. On a service level it was just not there. My water glass was empty more than it was full. I guess the only thing I can recommend is the Cuban coffee I had before we paid. Don’t plan to return. If you go across the parking lot their family restaurant (Islas Canarias) is a lot cheaper, better/faster.

The food is good and the place is great. It's just too expensive for the size of the portions. After dinner and drinks and spending over $350 for just 2. I felt a bit uncomfortable for spending so much and not feeling full and satisfied.

Amelia's 1931 on 26th Street in Miami is a great place to go for Cuban fusion that is delicious and unique. The food here is well made and flavorful. The have a really good atmosphere here that makes it a good place to relax and enjoy a good meal. The staff here is very attentive and makes sure that you have everything that you need

Ambience is super cool a la 1931 includ the music. Our waiter Evan was super helpful. We had 2 appetizers the filet mignonette skewers and the croquettas both were amazing. I ordered an expresso martini which was excellent wife had the “penicillin drink which she didn’t really like. For the entree we shared the red snapper which was amazing. For Dessert we had the tiramisu which was also excellent. All this was $123. Very reasonable. Only downside is that it’s in a strip shopping center far out west but that can also make it easy to park and once ur inside u do r see the outside and u become immersed in the 1930s theme. Highly recommend.

Nice food and service. Good wine happy hour weekdays until 8. Great staff. Very different than the typical restaurant in Miami. Breath of fresh air.

We went on a Saturday night and the ambience was great. Priscilla, our waitress was very attentive. I had the tamal en cazuela with oxtail which was amazing!!

Ive know about Amelias since it 1st opened but had not gone until just recently. Since our arrival, Lauren our server gave us the rundown of what the cuisine was about and made recommendations She hit on everyone of them, We had the Malanga Tots with Vaca Frita For main course, I went with the recommendation of the Filet Mignon Salteado ( the sauces and the Risotto were a taste bomb going off in your mouth. My better half had the Pulled Chicken Salad Sandwich was amazing as well For desert, I have no idea what I had as I asked Lauren to being her favorite, again she was on point While we were having our Cuban Cortadito,, the owner Eileen came out to greet us First class across the board, but not surprising as Amelias is family with Finka and Islas Canarias
Delicious
From the drinks to the food, this place is creative and delicious. The atmosphere is diner-like with a delicious feel. This asian peruvian fusion restaurant creates popular dishes with surprisingly delightful twists. Must try.
