Not On The Strip Perfection Surprise

By Kathy C |

The access is easy. You don't have to pay to park. Experienced mature and knowledgeable wait staff. The very nice owner engages with customers. Full bar. Romantic evening ambiance with window views of the water. Nicely decorated. Perfect for a wedding anniversary. The six employees we encountered were all personable and professional. The food was very, very good. The trout was boned and perfect! The chicken with Parisian gnocchi with carrot thyme reduction was wonderful. The crème Brule was a good share with lovely presentation with biscotti and fresh raspberry garnish. They also carry Albarino - my favorite white wine. The access is easy. You don't have to pay to park. We will be back again and again. It is good to patronize local businesses that value good service.

Americana Las Vegas 2620 Regatta Dr Ste 118, Las Vegas, NV 89128-6893

This is a really good restaurant with excellent service. It is pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. The view of the lake is also very nice. The only downfall was that there were noisy kids running around which is not their fault but the parents that seemed not to care that they were disturbing the other diners.

Eat eclectic dishes overlooking the peaceful Diamond Bay lake with lots of service.

By devnprt1 |

Great view of the water, lots of glass walls for open space atmosphere and some outdoor seating. Very unique interpretations of popular vegan, seafood and steak dishes with full bar service. Several weekly specials like Small Plate Thursdays, a Sunday Brunch with lots of small plate special dishes. The Brunch was like a foodie's exploration of unique spin of popular dishes. You just keep ordering and they keep bringing plates of food to share. And no rush to turn your table for the next customer. Located in the back part of a small shopping center. Worth the risk to try new things.

Perfection

Food and service were spectacular. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any one local or just in town for a visit.

What a great place , amazing food , great service, and the restaurant is right on the lake , definitely unique and beautiful , can't wait to go back . Thanx guys for the wonderful experience.

Go! You won't be sorry.

The restaurant is lovely and the view is beautiful and relaxing. We arrived when it was light and the lake shimmered under the blue sky. First we watched the ducks then the white swans and later the black swans. When the sun went down "fairy lights" glimmered from the outdoor patio enhancing the view. Now to the food....a delight! I had octopus to start and salmon for my main course. My guy had artichoke soup to start and steak for his main. Food was grilled to perfection and beautifully presented and sauced. We were stuffed but we had to have desert. I had the peanut butter bar and he had the lemon meringue strip. They sound boring but they are any thing but! The bar had a chocolate crust thin strip of PB chantilly cream and whipped cream. The strip had a perfect eggy meringue over a delicate lemon filling. Service by Mischa, our waiter, was gracious and efficient. We were greeted with smiles upon arrival and even got to chat with the chef/owner as we left. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner for 8

By NewEnglandMama |

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for our family of 8. We had a 2:30 reservation and showed up about half an hour early. We were seated immediately, and still accommodated with a lovely view. We had a large round table that was perfect because everybody could see each other and talk (perfect noise level in the restaurant). The entire time we were there the restaurant was only at ~50% capacity. Perhaps it got busier at night. We were not rushed and had wonderful service. . .in fact they had multiple servers deliver our food so we could all eat at once. For Thanksgiving the choices were steak or traditional turkey. Only 2 in our party went for the steak and prawn and really enjoyed it. The rest ordered turkey with stuffing, cranberries, etc. You were typically served half white meat/half dark meat, but the waiter allowed individuals in our party to opt for all dark meat (all white meat was also an option). The turkey servings were HUGE. Nobody ate all the turkey and I swear my serving could have fed 4. Regrets were that traditional mashed potatoes weren't offered. Instead we got two sides of sweet potatoes for the table. We also got some prawns to share --cooked and seasoned nicely. We requested extra gravy and this was an upcharge of $5 for the table, which seemed a bit "nickel and dime". They offered an unlimited table wine option for $15/person which many people in our party were surprised how good the wine was (red and white). One person in our party ordered a smoked Old Fashioned and presentation was great, served in a cedar smoker. We had a thoroughly pleasant dining experience--especially because we didn't cook! The hostesses were extremely friendly as were the waitstaff.

Terrible, awful food experience!

By Dave M |

We went to dine at this restaurant on Tuesday night February 11, 2025 on our anniversary celebration. The waiter Fernando and his assistant Hilda treated us very nice and very helpful. However we are very very disappointed about the food. We ordered the 3 course dinner of Butter nut squash, Seafood mixed linguine pasta and Raspberry ganart chart. We have eaten some very good seafood pasta many times before and have never been disappointed, but this was an absolute exception. They were terrible. The shrimp and calamari were very tough. On top of that the sauce was very sour and after trying to put sugar on it to remove the strong vinegary taste we just gave up and not continue to finishing them. Needless to say we were absolutely disappointed and just walk home regretting to have dined in this restaurant. I don’t know about the good reviews but it is surely a mixed of poor and bad experiences. Just go through all the reviews from Yelp to Google, etc and you’ll find the bad ones. Unluckily we fell on the bad side of it. Either we went on a wrong day or was assigned with a terrible cook that day. I suggest to stay away from this restaurant especially if you’re celebrating a very important occasion. Awful experience!

Ouch. Not good

By bayliesmith12 |

Unfortunately this was one of the worst “fine dining” experiences my husband and I have ever had. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the service was very good and the view was nice. The food, however, was very disappointing. The oyster Rockefeller was to die for but everything from there was downhill. The lobster tortellini was okay but overpriced, the lobster mac and cheese was dry and just okay, my husband had a $50 filet and he was very disappointed that it came smothered in a green sauce that overpowered and hid the meat, and my fish was cooked nicely but lacked seasoning and flavor. Overall, for a $200 dinner to only have one food item be truly good was disappointing to say the least.

I was hoping I could give a 5 star review...

By Michelledstiles |

It was a much needed date night, and upon entering they sat us at a little two top table in the middle of the room against the post leading into another section of the restaurant - far from romantic and the cold breeze came right through. The drink special was a Cadillac margarita, which tasted like orange juice and I could not detect any Grand Marnier flavor at all. The food was delicious - Ahi salad was quite delightful, butternut squash soup was wonderful, the filet mignon was great on top of mashed sweet potato... unfortunately my sea bass was not all the way cooked and rubbery in the middle. The service was nice. I will go back, and ask for a decent table, and hopefully be able to dine outside.

The best day of my life

By ronni1361 |

My Husband planned a lovely lunch for us on our wedding day. He had roses there waiting as well as a rose petal heart on the table and his and hers champagne glasses filled already. This was the Restaurant I had taken him to for his birthday last year and we loved it then and still love it. Amazing food and top tier service. Each visit gets better and better. This is a must visit for anyone who loves special attention to detail and outstanding service.

Fantastic but it touch costly.

By Builttotravelalot |

First of all, if you are looking for a place away from the strip, this should definitely be on your shortlist. The ambience and food is absolutely fantastic. It is a little hard to get to but it also provides the benefit of a feel that is totally different from the one you get on the strip. I recommend any of the steaks or meat dishes since the owner has specializedIn that food type for over 20 years. The staff was attentive and maintained a great balance between casual and formal.

WAITER INCREASES TIP AND MANAGER WON'T CALL ME BACK

By OnAir770946 |

STAY AWAY! I have eaten here several times over the past years. On Sunday, April 7, our waiter Marcin S was not a very good waiter. He wanted to work us through the menu. Since I did not eat seafood, I asked him to not do that. He then seemed upset and it was hard to get coffee, and items we wanted. Ignoring us, and actually was rude when he would come to the table. BUT THE PROBLEM - I left a cash tip and put the bill on my credit card, HE ADDED $24 TIP after the $30 cash tip (bill $136.40). I called and spoke to the manager who assured me he would look into it. Two days later, left a message and no call back. Sent Email, no response. Disputed the tip amount. AND GUESS WHAT - TODAY, APRIL 16, PHONE IS DISCONNECTED! I will never return!

Foodies Awesome Sunday Brunch

By craigbechard55 |

Gorgeous lake views greet you while you enjoy the best gourmet Sunday brunch you’ll probably ever have. Your attentive waiter will serve you course after course until you say uncle! I also recommend the unlimited champagne mimosas or creative margaritas. As if the incredible food and service weren’t enough, how about being serenaded by the phenomenal soft jazz of Carlos Santana! Yes, Carlos is known to perform during most Americana Sunday brunchs for your listening pleasure while dining. What an unexpected treat!!

Christmas visit

By Craig B |

Ate at this restaurant twice do you need reservations in Las Vegas but they're very very simple to get. Food was excellent had a great time inside the restaurant people are extremely friendly. These people are looking for folks to come into their casinos and restaurants as when we went we barely saw anyone. I used to live in Vegas and it's never been like this. Believe me when I tell you the food at this New York-New York Casino and Hotel restaurant is superb.

great young restaurant

By J S |

we had originally made reservations at another restaurant in this area but i was not crazy about their menu and americana was booked for the night but fortunately some spots opened up after the wedding they were having. i am glad we made the choice to go here. we arrived a little early for our reservation and the wedding was finishing up so we had a drink at the bar. the bartender was super nice and told us about the restaurant, the food, the wines, and was all around a great host while we waited. he even let me have a happy hour drink even though it was well past time for those specials to end. then we were shown to our table, right next to the water with the pretty lights and ambiance they have set up. they were still finishing up getting the inside of the restaurant set back up but our area was peaceful and perfect. the service was on point, very professional and knowledgeable as well. they offer so many different menus is can be a little intimidating, but worth it go check out and listen to them all. there is a weekely harvest menu, a five course menu, happy hour menu, specials, and the regular dinner menu. the dinner specials that night sounded really good, but we had already set our eyes on different prizes. she ordered the prosciutto wrapped romaine and carbonara pasta and i ordered the 3 course harvest menu. they start you off with a little bread and butter that was pretty good and went well with the wine that i had already picked. the 3 course harvest menu comes with unlimited, yes i said unlimited, wine pairings for each course. the harvest salad was nicely balanced and the persimmon was surprisingly ripe for being early in the season. the romaine salad was also very good and nicely plated. then came the main course: her carbonara was very rich and had a gold leaf covered poached egg as garnish on top. the pasta was cooked well and the dish was very good. my flat iron steak was cooked just right, the truffle potatoes were under seasoned but were balanced well by the saltiness of the sauce. the wines they chose for each course were decent for a free wine pairing. the desert that came with the harvest menu was pecan pie tart, it was the perfect end to a great meal. maybe a little too much crust to filling ratio but it was well done overall. such a peaceful and romantic spot to come for anyone to celebrate or just have a really nice meal. it is still a newish spot but they have the hospitality thing down like a seasoned restaurant. we would definitely recommend you stop by for an amazing meal.

Divine - best brunch ever!

By Princess B |

Last Sunday we had a lunch for my husband’s birthday- it was a group of 15. We were given a large table on the outside terrace overlooking the lake. We were away from other tables, so it was like our own private terrace. Marcin was our amazing waiter. He just kept bringing out plates of yummy food and continually topped up our glasses of champagne. He was so attentive and very genuine in looking after us. The food was all delicious- especially the mussels ( best I have ever had), octopus bruschetta and the berry French toast. It was a long relaxing lunch - the perfect way to celebrate a special birthday with close friends. It was about $25 in an Uber to the restaurant from the Strip, but the price of the lunch was half what you would pay there ( and so, so much nicer!) It felt a million miles away from the Strip. So a perfect escape. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Good lobster dinner deal but pricey otherwise

By Raj P |

Wednesday night lobster for $20 is a good value and they were well cooked to individual tastes. Everything else was high priced starting with house wine at $12, salad were a bit pricey and so were the deserts. So a couple a $20 lobster dinner ends up at over $100 for two. Over all a good place but Vegas has many many options. So we may not be a big hurry to return and try other places.Good service.

Delicious & Artistic

By Valerie S |

First..I'm a foodie. This was a special occasion for us so we went ALL OUT. 5 Course Menu with Wine Pairing++. Every course was photo worthy/gorgeous/artistically plated. The bonus is every dish tasted as good as it looked. The anticipation of what the next course would bring was exciting. The flavors were popping in our mouths...trying to find that "chocolate" in the beet salad/fun, poblano pepper with Grilled Octopus/who would have put those together? By the 2nd course I had tears in my eyes .. I was experiencing such phenomenal food preparations, service & excellent wine pairings (thank you Misho) & a beautiful lake view/bonus++. By the time the main course came I didn't think I could be "blown away" any more. But, it happened...2 servers brought over our Smoked New York Strip Steak Pickled Ramps ~ Bone Marrow under glass/smoked dome. They simultaneously opened the domes to much fanfare. Our well executed evening on the patio ended with the moon rising while licking every morsel of our dessert. To Chef/Owner Stephen Blandino...thank you for a very, very SPECIAL evening. We saw the "love".

Take out Food

It was totally Awesome, They offered bread while waiting for my order. Also was offered water as a beverage while waiting.

Sooooo good!

By Carolannfrances |

This place is a great find! It is far off the strip, but if you are in the Northwest end of town, do yourself a favor and try it! It sits fight on the man-made lake in desert shores, with great views. They also have a small bar room, very cozy! My sister and i went for wine and appetizers. Awesome menu, very creative chef. NOT cheap, but quality of food is awesome! Beet salad, soup and braised short ribs, were excellent! We shared ot all, plus a bottle of wine.....sooo good!

Nice atmosphere

Good and Ok, lovely lake view, far from strip. Recommended for locals wanting a out of vegas experience on the lake view upscale restaurant and has fine wines and etc. Prices moderate to high.

A hidden gem away from the strip

By Arturo P |

We've fallen in love with Americana. There are many special things about this place, such as the location right by Desert Shores Lake, as well as the whole vibe. We keep going back, whether we're celebrating a birthday, treating ourselves to a nice dinner, or just needing a break from the Strip, it feels like the right choice. The food is always impressive, everything tastes fresh and flavorful, and the prices are fair for what you're getting. But the real reason we keep coming back is Cheryl. She's usually our server, and she genuinely makes the experience. She remembers us, checks in at just the right moments, and has this warm way of making you feel taken care of. She always manages to exceed our expecations. It sounds like a small thing, but great service like that really does make a difference. Add in the wine list and that lake view, and you've got the kind of place you can't wait to tell your friends about. If you're looking for a solid neighborhood restaurant that actually delivers on everything, food, service, atmosphere, this is it.

Best restaurant in a decade!

By Brian I |

It has been more than a decade since I have raved about a restaurant, but in the case of Americana in Las Vegas, it is more than deserved. Vegas is known for the Strip and it’s world class chefs and a new found desire to offer the best in dining and hospitality and thus it may be surprising to find one of the finest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining at in the northwest part of the city close to Summerlin. Captain Marcin Sobezak and the staff provided us with an outstanding meal, presentation, and service far beyond anything in recent history. Chef Stephen Blandino has produced a fantastic menu which will exceed anyone’s culinary dreams. The restaurant is located on the banks of Desert Shores, one of the man made lakes in the community sharing the same name with a beautiful view and ambiance. The restaurant is well appointed with private dining as well as window and patio like views of the lake. A diverse menu of including vegan, seafood, and meat offerings. The wine list while not being expansive, had excellent choices for pairings and was reasonably priced. I had the pleasure of having Steak Diane prepared table side with outstanding fresh ingredients. It was truly an outstanding meal and with the fun of an entertaining preparation by Marcin. Dessert was excellent. I believe you will be challenged to find a more romantic, delicious, service extraordinary, and memorable experience than the outstanding offerings at Americana Las Vegas!

THE GOOD, THE OK AND THE UGLY

By Raymond H |

The good: The service was way above average, from the maitre D' , the waiter and even the bus boy. The location on a lac is quite unique in Las Vegas. The food, we ordered the special 3 courses with bottomless wine. The OK: Everything was excellent, with the little exception that the steak hard to chew. The Ugly: We called early that day to ask for the menu and we were told the menu of the past week. Also, we asked for a separate bill and received as bill for the 4 of us. Globally, we were very satisfied and we will return there.

Excellent Location, View, Service, Menu and Prices

By Deigs |

Excellent Location, View, Service, Menu and Prices. Very few places you can have a water view in Vegas - this is one of those few. Great location, view menu, prices, and staff. Menu options are excellent - something for everyone. Staff was very attentive and prices were very reasonable. Owner was very accommodating.

In Vegas for golf

By 515thomash |

My brothers and I ate at the Americana while in town for a golf weekend. We ate in the bar area, where they have a daily happy hour from 4:00 to 7:00 that includes 4 entrees and about 6 appetizers for half price. We all had the filet mignon, which was served over mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. It was quite tasty and a bargain at $21. We had calamari for an appetizer. It was fresh and served with 3 dipping sauces. For desert we had apple cobbler, which was freshly baked and served warm, and lemon cheesecake, which was very light and fluffy. The waiter was attentive and was able to answer all of our questions about the food and wine menus. If you go for the happy hour specials, you can sit at the bar or in a little seating area with about 6 tables to the left of the bar.

Hidden Treasure in Desert Shores

My wife and I had an outstanding dinner at Americana a few day ago. Great service, wonderful view of lake, and beautifully presented food that was delicious !

Great food and great service!

By sak89503 |

My husband and I went there for our anniversary and had such a wonderful time! We did the 5-course tasting menu which was not only fun but the food was exceptional. The staff was also amazing we had so much fun with our waiter Vinny and the other staff they really made us feel welcome and made our dining experience that much more enjoyable!

Great dinner, great atmosphere

By Msulli2 |

My wife and I and our friends had a tremendous dinner here the other night. We did the tasting menu and the chef's imagination and culinary skill were evident with each course. Loved the scallop course with risotto and the fish was tremendous. I highly recommend it for a romantic dinner or a couples night out.

Are we still in Vegas??

By Laurie_Kim |

This place is amazingly delicious! Took a friend for his birthday. All of the food presentation was exquisite! The surf and turf at $49...how can you beat that price? Bone in rib eye was perfectly marbled. The grilled octopus is one of the best in town. Chef even makes the Caesar's salad look different than all others-and of course, tastes delish! Go during day light, heading into sunset so you can see the beautiful lake. The service is outstanding-they all work in teams and when another server overheard we were all wondering about the "secret menu" he quickly came over and told us all about it. Chef Blandino stopped by the table. Super down to earth chef, heard we were celebrating a birthday and sent over some new bourbon he acquired. Vinnie was top notch! #savevinniesjob (inside joke) :)

Best restaurant off the strip

By MRutherford1 |

I came here with a few colleagues I was hoping to impress last week and they were absolutely blown away to say the least. Wine list was extensive without losing its identity, the food was prepared with extreme care with the finest ingredients (A5 Wagyu), and the service staff was knowledgeable and well trained. I look forward to coming back next time I’m in town and I highly recommend this place to anybody, especially if you are looking to avoid the strip and dine on a lake with a stunning view.

Top End

By Raton270 |

Great Menu Fantastic Service from Vinny former Server from Andiron. New General Manager Ralph from Honey Salt. Awesome Lake View In Desert Shores Community. What’s not to like? One of the top new Restaurants in Vegas with free parking. Plus it’s not on the Strip.

Worth a trip from the Strip

By Rose Harrington |

New Yorkers and big city visitors are going to really appreciate this place. I understand If you're asking yourself, why should I go all the way to Summerlin for lunch or dinner. I am rated as a top 5% T.A. contributor and a former travel advisor, I urge you to venture away from the overrated, overpriced, touristy aspect of Las Vegas Blvd. Make a day of it. The restaurant is close to Red Rock Canyon National Park and Downtown Summerlin outdoor shopping mall.Create a special day away fro the strip and end with a fabulous meal at the Americana. Ask for Stephen. He is a top rated celebrity chef who takes pride in every meal that is served. Check out the web site and his bio. Bon Appetit !

Don't Just Don't

By John A |

Do not go. Terribly overpriced and food poor. Had the $28 chicken, Was dry and served with very bland rice. Would have been nice if it was warm. Also had udercooked weeds on top. Two people were vegans. One ordered Brussel Sprouts and sent them back as nearly raw. We were seated outside on patio. Temps in the 60s and while space heaters were available, they were not on. We were a party of 5 and table holds 8-10. That meant having to shout. They also have steak ridiculouly priced. Offered one at $30 per ounce meaning a Quarter Pounder would cost over $100 - and Burger King better

Great breakfast

By Peanutprettybird |

Eat out on the patio for some great people watching. Delicious breakfast 2 days in a row. Bacon and hash browns are well prepared. Shared the waffles (asked for plain). Done perfectly. Had the veggie white wrap and that was very good too. With friends who had eggs Benedict and oatmeal 2 days in a row, so must have been good!

Las Vegas Stay

Vegas just opened up, so some menu items not available; very expensive for what we ordered; food was good though, service was so-so; nothing over the top except for how much a hamburger cost; geesh.

Exquisite Dining Experience

By Elke R |

If you are a foodie but don't like the bustle along the Strip, come visit the serene surroundings of the Americana Las Vegas on Lake Jaqueline. Then let the staff serve you as if you were the only guest. Most of all, though, savor the scrumptious food. Luckily our table ordered 4 different meals and we were all able to sample each others'. Not a bad one among them!!

Outstanding Restaurant By The Water

Family wedding

The customer service at this restaurant was outstanding. We had small children in our group and the wait staff went out of their way to accommodate and serve them. The food was excellent too but the customer service of the staff was note worthy and very family friendly.

Celebrated our 27th Anniversary here last week and was so surprised to find such an elegant and yet friendly and accessible fine dine place so close to home. My sea bass was to die for. Excellent martini served exactly to my liking. And a lovely surprise dessert. Headed back again this week to try happy hour. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Birthday Dinner!

Little hidden secret in Las Vegas

A romantic sip of wine by the lake.

By James B |

Went for a drive in our new addition to the garage - top-down! Driving brought back memories of Marche Bacchus in it's much finer days when we were in the Lake Mead/Summerlin area. The weather was perfect, and what better place to enjoy an early light dinner than by a lake in the desert? So, we decided to try Americana. The mid 70's temperature, lakeside on the veranda, seeing the ducks and turtles, all made for a wonderful time, and ambiance. Having a few glasses of wine, and maybe just one appetizer was in order. ( We had just eaten a small lunch two hours earlier.) Ordered the Octopus, and a Crab Fried Rice. I did take note that the waiter and kitchen were not quite on the same page as the menu description, as the ingredients were not the same. The menu had " Spicy Sausage Sugo ~ Castelvetrano Olives ~ Balsamic $18" There was no mention of the beans. Maybe a printing error? Nevertheless, the octopus was so good, that I ordered another sans beans. Price adjusted as should have been. Attention to hospitality not profit was displayed. The fried rice? Well, who would expect an Americana/Euro cuisine to be able to cook an Asian dish? Not only was it much better than most of Spring Mountain places, but with generous pieces of Dungeness crab, not the lump crab served everywhere else. Well done! Will be back to try the Sunday Brunch and the all you can drink wine, The $42.00 experience. Service was spot on at all the tables from my observations. Waiters very knowledgeable of the menu and almost perfect presentation. Slower talking is always in order for the patron to process, and think of the verbal descriptions. If my memory serves me correct, a far better dining experience and value than Garfield's ever was.

Management didn't care

By Andy R |

2 days ago-Edit I'm very disappointed to have to write this but my family just had a very bad experience at Americana. My parents were celebrating their 70th Anniversary (yes 70!) and chose to have a small gathering (9 persons) at Americana, a restaurant they have enjoyed many times in the past. My mother first inquired about the party in June when we were all dining there and at that time expressed that she wanted tables that would be outdoors on the patio as that would be the safest option for my parents and their guests. She spoke with them over the phone and visited again the Tuesday prior to the dinner and she was assured that tables of 5 and 4 would be outside on the patio. When my parents arrived last Sunday for the party, the tables were not outside as promised on several occasions. They were in a private room but that was not what was promised, nor is it as safe as dining outdoors, especially for people whose ages are in their 80's and 90s. The management made no apologies nor were they helpful in any way. They didn't even offer a bottle of wine or any other recompense for their choice not to give my parents what was promised. After that the experience didn't improve much. The party was split into two tables, but rather than treating them as one table, they were clearly not serviced that way as one table's entrees came out 10 minutes prior to the other table's. One guest's halibut was clearly undercooked and had to be sent back. Management never once came in to see how we were enjoying ourselves. It was clear they didn't care one bit about what was clearly a special celebration. My sister had brought in a cake and an expected plating charge was on the bill. However, after serving very small slices no one bothered to ask if anyone wanted another piece, which is just standard service (I worked as a server in restaurants for 15 years). So we left with about 1/2 the cake unserved. Americana is an expensive, upscale restaurant and those prices demand a level of service and food quality that was not attempted the evening of our party. Though we all had a nice time in the end, the Americana experience left all who attended with a disappointed taste in our mouths and we will not return.

Lovely dinner by the Lake

By Veronica Bosco |

Fantastic setting on the patio, so relaxing away from the Strip buzz. Service was great and so was the food. Definitely will return !

Nice, but not quite what we were looking for

By chgmeister |

We were a party of 6, my daughter chose this place because it advertised vegan options, and secondly, it’s location on a lake in her Homeowners Association. The view was excellent! There were two issues. 1) there was only one vegan option 2) the beet salad they served had blue cheese (which they quickly corrected). Since it was a Thursday evening, it wasn’t busy, and the service was excellent. The food was both well presented and delicious. I could’ve easily rated this restaurant a 5, however, the issues above, plus the very pricey menu brought down the score.

Fantastic lunch by the lake!

By truthbetold_10 |

Loved this place! We sat outdoors lakeside serenaded by the ducks! We celebrated my moms 75th birthday with a white cranberry martini and a delicious Parmesan chicken sandwich and perfectly prepared burger. The servers couldn’t be more accommodating. The entire experience was completely delightful!

Nice atmosphere

By Sergio1954 |

We came here on Halloween evening and there was no one there -- so very quiet. No problem with sitting at our reservation time. The atmosphere is very nice -- windows to the outside and would be very nice for lunch. We had the octopus and spicy shrimp as appetizers. The octopus was a nice serving even though the edge was a bit burnt. The spicy shrimp were outstanding. They came on a bed of something like coleslaw and the sauces were very tasty. I had the filet which was good - done to my specifications. My husband had the lamb chops. There were quite a few of them, but not really much there to eat. One of our other friends had the shrimp and linguini which was enough to feed 2 and our other friend had the pork shank, which he said was very good. For dessert we shared the lemon cake, which was very very good and our friends had the cheesecake, which was good- but nothing special. I would go here for lunch and dinner again. Service was a bit slow but overall very good.

Chef Steve kills it

By Ethan W |

To say best restaurant in Vegas is barely adequate. Chef Steve provides the absolute highest quality in terms of food, service and atmosphere. I was excited when a friend told me Steve had his new place in the water, and it was as good as I could have imagined. Brought some business associates and they were blown away. The food, the location, the value.... I'll be back regularly and will be spreading the word far and wide.

The staff went above and beyond for me tonight!!

By barbpca |

The service was exceptional then add to that I had an issue and the fact they took very good care of me! I went out here for dinner tonight with my sister and 3 other friends!! Earlier in the day I had a sever allergic reaction and spent some time at the umc urgent care getting IV steroids. I was concerned about what to eat and after my ordeal I want pasta. I was not able to eat the pasta on their menu due to seafood allergy. I was talking with the waiter and told him about my fun day with allergies. He discussed with me some choices and I told him what I really wanted was pasta with tomatoes chicken and basil. The chief came out to let me know he would be making my pasta fresh from scratch. It was delicious!! I have never ordered off the menu and asked for something new! I was very pleased with they way they treated me and made sure everything I was given to eat was safe for me and delicious! Everybody in our party of 5 was impressed with the quality of the food and the service. The food was delicious!! My sister had the swordfish (she does not have any allergies) The presentation of this was amazing!! The food comes out covered in a clouse and the opened at the table as the smoke comes out and swirls around the plate. I took a video but can’t figure out how to post it!! What a fun dinner after an unusual day!

Beautiful Wedding Dinner Reception

By smile702 |

We had a private wedding reception dinner on November 14, 2020 in the outdoor patio and the library. We were put into contact with Taylor, the event coordinator. She gave us a wonderful introduction and details on what to expect. Gave us a variety of menu choices that became difficult to choose from as they all looked so delicious. She was open to our suggestions and customized the venue to our needs. As the event got closer she was adaptive to any quick adjustments we requested. On the day of the event, the venue was amazing and elegant. The staff was attentive and helpful. Guests felt welcomed from the staff and enjoyed the food, especially your seasonal soup. It was a very memorable event that is one to remember.

My wife

By Frank M |

So I started the evening with the Roosevelt smoked old fashioned, this is a very flavorful drink with a reserve smallbatch bourbon and the presentation at the table is astonishing with a box full of smoke and you reach inside and pull your drink out. Next came the charred octopus, the flavor is delightful and the presentation very good is served in a hot plate. I had the boneless short ribs which were absolutely astonishing. Made a small substitution for some mushrooms instead of the carrots. Bonnie had the salmon and it was moist done perfectly and she was a clean plater!!! Now comes desert, Bonnie is going all in for the flourless chocolate cake me I’m having the passion fruit pie!! Of course there has to be a cappuccino with Bailey’s Irish cream and two udderly large glasses of milk with ice. The music is great, but to loud for a nice dinner experience, this is the only area that I can find any fault with.

Dinner was a disappointment. Don't come hungry!

By truthbetold_10 |

I'd been here before twice for lunch and really enjoyed it - I think I even gave it a rave review on Trip Advisor! Dinner, however, is a different story of tiny portions, slow service and over-hyped expectations . When we first sat down, the server informs us that the restaurant has just earned a top 10 "best restaurant in America" rating. Not in Las Vegas, mind you - but the entire country? We later find out it's earned this status not from Zagat's per se - a reputable food reviewer, but from a company called "TMG Entertainment" - who are they?? It's sort of laughable. With this rating I am expecting top notch excellence across the board. But not so much. The beet salad, which two of us ordered, had beets - but no "salad" - no greens. Literally, four or five 1" pieces of beet on top of goat cheese cream. My crispy chicken dish was literally a quarter of a chicken breast and four gnocchi on the side. My two friends had the salmon and the trout, both of which they described as "unremarkable." My husband was definitely the "dinner winner", ordering the butternut squash soup which he LOVED and the short rib dish which was the heartiest of the table. We waited at least 20 minutes for our server to take the payment and finally had to get up and find someone ourselves. If you are billing yourself as a "top ten fine dining" restaurant IN THE COUNTRY! (ha! ha!), you need to up your game.

Beautiful setting

By DrForgot |

We visited Americana Las Vegas for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The good: Vicki, the hostess, was gracious and seated us promptly. She later brought a birthday card signed by the staff. Nice touch. We ordered the Harvest meal that included salad, wine, prime rib, and a dessert. Butter was outstanding and bread were good. Not so good: Our waiters, Jack and Marcel were vert attentive until the place been to fill. Then it was clear more waitpeople could have been used. Friends had octopus. Very good. My prime rib could have been more tender. Dessert served was not what we ordered. It was good, but we should have been told of the switch. After dinner we asked for coffee - three times before it finally came. Ambiance was 5/5. Food was 4/5. Service was 5/5 until it got busy, then 2/5. The setting on the water could only have been more special hd we stated until dark.

Amazing evening

By Barbara45963 |

The service was more than adequate. My steamed mussels were over cooked, but the rest of the entrees were wonderful. The outside dining was incredible and the sunset was extraordinary.

One of the top in Las Vegas

Lovely lakeside setting, fine menu, top-notch service and great food quality. Plus, they offer some phenomenal deals - the three-course weekly harvest menu (with unlimited wine!) is just a terrific and delicious bargain.

Family Visit

By Kenneth B |

The food here was really good, the serving were a bit to big though, I am finding I can’t quite eat like I could when I was younger, but not ready for the senior meals just yet. We had a party of nine both times we ate here and did not have to wait even though they were pretty busy...good job.

Incredible

My wife and I tried Americana for the first time this last Friday. This was a great experience. Food was fantastic. Service was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly. We came back on sunday for lunch, we enjoyed it so much.

Must visit again

By Arisa A |

Americana Las Vegas is a beautifully located restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and ambience. Everything is lovely from the paintings hung up on the walls to the staff and the outstanding food. I can’t wait to comeback soon. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cool spot in Vegas. A perfect alternative to anywhere on the strip!!!

One of the best in Vegas

By Rayhaus547 |

We went when they had a special happy hour with 50 percent discount on almost everything. We started with calamaris. They wee among the best we ever had. My wife had a charred New York steak who was cooked to perfection. My scallops were tender and very tasty. We drank a 2010 Freakshow that was a delight. The best came with the creme brulee. Finally somebody in Vegas who makes it like in Paris. Our waitress Celeste was very competent and attentive. The chef owner came to our table which is unusual in today's world. A great experience for a littleore than $100.

Back in Vegas 7 days dined at Americana twice

By Kyivguy |

I've lived and worked in SoEast Asia, Western and Eastern Europe and have dined all over the world. I left Las Vegas 20 months ago and I have been back for seven days. I had a five course wine pairing on Wednesday evening and the fabulous Sunday brunch four days later. While I truly understand that a great dining experience can be subjective, in my opinion Chef Stephen has the best restaurant on the West side of the valley and perhaps in the entire valley. The menu is diverse and palate pleasing, the ambiance perfect for solo dining or a dinner for everyone that you know that appreciates fine food. I was a regular since Americana opened and now that I am back in the Valley I expect to be a regular once again.

Elegance at a reasonable price

By Steff |

As always, Americana never disappoints. Such amazing food, superb service, and reasonable pricing. The amuse buche always gets the meal started with such vibrant flavors. I’m not much of a salad person, but I find myself always eating most or all it. Their vegetables are so fresh and seasoned perfectly. The beef is always magnificent, be it a steak tartare, T-bone special (Thursdays) or steak Diane prepared table side. Their lobster is a treat, check their specials on (Wednesdays). I’ve believed for years that I didn’t like oysters, until I was served theirs, raw with their herbs/spices and then another time baked, both were amazing. Dessert is always an art piece and matches in flavor to its beauty. All staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, you’re in good hands with any of the servers, and other team members that make the place so comfortable and special.

Excellent ambience

By Chris H |

The service was great! This place was on par with anything on the strip. Presentation was superb. The staff went out of their way to make us happy. My wife requested a drink that was not on the menu, the maitre D found out about and sent some one to find the ingredients and it was presented to us, free of charge, in the middle of the meal. The food excellent also. Fresh, prepared as requested, though I would add that any meats that are ordered medium come out more like medium rare....Tis for tat, just describe how you want it and it'll come that way. Will go back again.

Too Rushed

By rager999 |

My son and I ate breakfast there October 30 and the 31st. The food was good but not great. The facility was clean and well organized. The real problem was that the servers were very impatient and rushed you in every aspect, their focus was to get you out as quick as possible so a relaxing meal is something they didn't want you to experience. Given that, they were attentive and efficient.

Stellar food and service

By lisamazurek |

Wow. Simply had the best dinner and service in the world. Exceptional. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Every single person who assisted us was stellar in terms of service, the hostess, and the gentlemen who helped our waiter/captain (who was beyond wonderful....charming, informative, and the perfect combination of personable and professional....you are our favorite from now on, Marscin...we adore you). He thoughtfully introduced us to the chef/owner who was not only a god in the kitchen, but refreshingly humorous and down to earth. Every bite was outstanding. We had the endive salad , the buratta salad (with beets and strawberries), the surf and surf and the bone in filet. Also, a crazy good dirty martini and old fashion. Brilliant. Just go you’ll appreciate it.

A bit disappointed

By Joanne |

Attended Easter brunch at Americana. Upon arriving we were told we would have to wait until they located us a table. We had a reservation and the restaurant called and texted the day before so we confirmed our arrival twice within 24 hours. Luckily we were sat within 20 minutes only because they called our party ahead of another party in error (the hostess admitted this to us). The menu was plentiful and for brunch about 15 different dishes would be brought out to us to eat. It was similar to Tapas. Unfortunately the staff were disorganized. They couldn't keep track of what food was due next. We heard multiple times the kitchen was backed up. The carving station's side dishes were often empty and the prime rib was close to raw. I like rare meat but this was a bit much and it was tasteless. inevitably we did not receive all of our courses. I think they forgot about us. The service was poor as well. It was obvious the restaurant was disorganized and couldn't handle the holiday crowd. Looks like a different restaurant will be found for mother's day.

A disappointment

By Heartache61 |

As an avid trip advisor follower and author, I depend on others' reviews in deciding a food itinerary while traveling. It's the reviews such as the one I'm about to write, I find no pleasure in writing. Especially, this being a special occasion for my husband and I, celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary. Pros: Outside of sin city situated on the edge of a lake with clean air, a breathtaking sunset, rising full moon, wildlife, plant life and twinkling lights. Beautiful setting! Staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. Presentation of the meal and cocktails were perfect! Prices were comparable to most all restaurants depending on the choice of food. Cons: Upon entry, in the doorway, you are immediately in the bar. A very tiny area with limited seating. A large portion of the bar top is taken up and covered with utensils, bartending tools, etc. An entrance to any establishment should be appealing. This was not. We chose to sit outside since the weather was comfortable. Upon being seated near the edge of the lake, our table was situated in a deep groove of the flooring and was tilted. What we thought was slightly. We were mistaken. It was far worse than we thought. As my husband ordered a "smoked" old fashion delivered in a case and I ordered a special cosmopolitan. I wanted to take a pic of his cocktail as it was delivered and served. To my husband and my disappointment, that did not happen. Upon the server placing my cocktail on the table, it was tilted to the point I had to hold my cocktail to keep it from spilling. Therefore, I was unable to take any pics of my husband's cocktails' presentation. Neither of us were pleased with the outcome. Simply because at that time, our server should have offered to move us to another setting as there was ample seating. We were not pleased at all by the neglect to offer, much less move us to a level table. We both made the best of it. We normally order different entrees so that we can have a tasting of 2 dishes. However, this time we chose to order the same. Pan roasted Alaskan Halibut w/mushrooms, lobster tortellini and ramp pesto. Beautiful presentation and appeared to be succulent. To our dismay it was overcooked (super dry) and practically flavorless. Without the mushrooms and pesto it would have had zero flavor. Fish of any kind should never be overcooked. Such a huge disappointment. Most especially since we had already encountered discontent with our table and cocktails. I won't bother to go into detail about the extremely dry and hard bread served prior. Again, I hate writing disappointing reviews such as this, but we all know "at times" there will be a hiccup or two. Anyone who takes reviews seriously, realizes there is going to be bad with the good. We totally understand and expect it. However, the entire experience and meal was a huge let down. Most especially on this particular anniversary occasion. HIGHLIGHT: At the ending of our meal we were pleasantly surprised with an anniversary dessert of the chef's creation. The server was unsure of what it was called. I will liken it to a cross between a shortcake and firm muffin. It was well decorated with a lit candle on top. Extremely delicious! A comfort to us both, for an ending, to a not so great evening.

Birthday

By janicemcgrathhall |

We came for my birthday. Octopus and duck stroganoff is unbelievable. The Caesar salad has to be split Bone is rib eye cooked perfectly and the surf and turf is fabulous. We had chocolate cake for birthday dessert with the best expresso. You will not be disappointed with the food or the view. Desert Shores lakes with the ducks,it extra special. Ask for Vinnie you won’t be disappointed

Great neighborhood dining with a fantastic view!

By Kono777 |

We decided to try this restaurant that’s right in our backyard in the Desert Shores area. We went for our anniversary dinner and had their Miso Glazed Steelhead Salmon and All Day Braised Short Rib. Both were excellent! This restaurant has lake views, and although they are man made, the overall effect is very beautiful and relaxing. In early October, we were seated at 6:30 pm, which was a perfect time to see the lake before it got too dark. Service was efficient and attentive. Our server, Jesse R., was excellent, very personable, and helped make our experience special. Prices were also very reasonable for such fine food. We’ll definitely be going back.

A Very Nice Surprise

By Will |

SHORT VERSION: 4.8 of 5 stars. Excellent meal with Outstanding Service. YES, we would go back. LONGER VERSION: We are Vegas locals who decided to "dine on the lake" and Americana fit the bill. SERVICE: Seated promptly with a nice view of a small lake from the inside. Cheryl was our main server and was Outstanding. She was there when you needed her and great attitude and advice to boot. Top rate. FOOD: We ordered the Wagyu beef as an appetizer to share, to go with two cocktails and a "Shirley Temple." Wagyu was perfectly cooked and a hit with our "foodie" college daughter. Entrees were the Grandpa's pasta (with seafood), Halibut, and Filet. The mussels in the pasta were a bit "stale", but everything else was Excellent. Halibut was especially yummy. OVERALL: A nice spot to unwind with good wine, great food, and great service. Wine list was more than adequate for the venue. YES, we will be back. TIP: Time your table seating just before sunset. Although you cannot see the sun directly, the shadows/sunset light are very nice.

Not for just special occasions

By petetom |

Not the most extensive menu but one that will satisfy just about anyone. While many parties were for special occasions, this is a restaurant that should be on you list for any time you want great food, wonderful presentation (order the blackened salmon and see) knowledgeable and friendly wait staff and a lake venue. Reservations are required as it is on the more intimate sizing. It is probably the most upscale restaurant in the northwest Las Vegas area.

Easter brunch

By D K |

Over priced brunch, poor service, food was slow to be a available or served, we had to ask for all dishes, drinks, utensils and condiments multiple times. Items were served individually but by request and as much as you wanted. However, it took too long for each dish to be served you kind of list your appetite. Brunch for 3 people with 2 cocktails, ice tea and coffee was $274. Servers were polite but could not handle the number of customers they seated.

Always great

By FESTERSEZ |

We’ve been to Americana multiple times with groups as large as a dozen for brunch...it has always been superb! The food is unique and nicely prepared, the Las cation is great, and the service is just great. We much prefer this to the hustle-bustle of casino buffets. CAUTION: it is very easy to eat yourself into a food coma at this place!

Amazing seafood, outstanding service

By Josh J |

Superb meal, excellent mix of flavors. Service was outstanding. Appetizers not too strong, they were just right. Predominantly seafood but had excellent sauces to match the dishes. Wine recommended for fish was spot on. Highly recommend!

Awesome time at the Americana

By hookman82 |

Two great friends highly recommended this place for their food and atmosphere and the restaurant did not let us down. Vinnie was our waiter and was excellent. We celebrated three birthdays and enjoyed every minute of it. Luckily there was not too many people outside, so we had the patio to ourselves. The view is amazing and the food as well. We will definitely, go back again.

Great food and better service!

By Kenneth H |

Americana is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. Far away from The Strip it provides service and food on par or better as you would expect from any high end casino restaurant. Prices also cant be beat. Try their weekly harvest menu. Drinks and food for way less than you would expect. I will definitely come back.

This place is a hidden Gem.

By alexwk1983 |

My wife and I love meeting friends here on Tuesdays for happy hour and dinner. Hard to find better quality seafood and steaks off the strip. The service is also outstanding and the view of the lake is amazing. If you haven't tried this place out yet you are missing out!

Great view, great food, great service.

By Paul W |

We had a very fine lunch of Salmon and she had shrimp. The services is excellent. Seating was available both inside and outside by the lake. They have some interesting Wed. and Thur specials too.

Fantastic!

By Goduke9 |

My wife and I plus another couple had a wonderful dinner last night at Americana. Our server was " Vinnie". We had Charred Octopus, Beet salad and Braised short ribs, served with a bottle of Pino Noir. Food was amazingly good, service was perfection! The restaurant sits on a lake with great views from all seating arrangements. We have deemed this restaurant as our go to for fine dining! We'll be back!!!

Still a wonderful restaurant to escape the madness of the strip

By kumtux |

We have looked forward to finding time to return to American again. We were next door for a couple's massage so we booked lunch reservations. What a beautiful setting with the all glass view of the lake, quiet seating, very friendly and attentive service and a menu that will please every appetite. We had the butternut squash soup followed by splitting a charcuterie plate of meats and cheeses, along with a shared plate of Big Eye tuna poke. Their diverse menu will provide delicious food for every palate.

Brunch of a lifetime

By joemcdevittny |

This is by far the best brunch spot in Las Vegas, perhaps West of the Mississippi. There are usually a dozen different tapas style selections and the wait staff just keep brining them 1 - 3 at a time for sharing. The ambiance is incredible being right on a lake with ducks and geese and all sorts of wildlife flying around and the mimosas are bottomless. The wait staff is the best and the chef, second to none. Give this place a shot. You won't regret it.

Delightful Lunch

By melodyf1946 |

My husband and I had lunch there a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Food was delicious, the service was great and the ambience was superb. We sat outside and even though it was a hot day, the patio was comfortable and the calming view made it all the better. We'll be going back. Next time for dinner.

I'll be back

By MaryW |

Came for a weekend lunch (not brunch). It is splendid. Service is outstanding. A star. Waited in luxe and rather ornate entryway for my dining companion. Greeted sincerely by the hostess who offered me water. The view is lovely, as others have reported. Scenic man-made lake makes a nice setting for either business or pleasure. Mine was a little of both. Our server was wonderful. We were celebrating a successful project outcome, and he feted us both with complimentary flutes of champagne! Awesome that he saw and acknowledged this special occasion from our online reservation. Also awesome that he was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu. And so warm while professional. The seafood salad was unlike any I have had in Las Vegas. So fresh I would imagine I was in Malibu, not the middle of the desert! And the pasta seafood special was again, fresh and vibrant. My colleague seemed to enjoy her burger, made with veal, chuck, and sirloin, and a side of truffle fries. Bread was tender and the lemon mint butter a noteworthy contribution. We super enjoyed the blood orange sorbet. Wow! But the passion fruit pie and chocolate torte were no slouch, either. Will I be back? Oh, yes, I will Schwarzenegger this thing.

Grand Canyon Bus tour from Vegas

By wanda12571 |

After so many years of visiting my sister who lives in Las Vegas I finally took a tour trip to the Grand Canyon with Grey Line Bus Tours. OK let’s start from the beginning using their website is extremely user-friendly. I had no problems booking a tour to the Grand Canyon for my girlfriend and I to the south rim. Since I was staying at my sisters I’m not a hotel we did not need to pick up so we went directly to their bus terminal. Check in was very easy and I can’t tell you how helpful the staff were. After talking to them they made us realize that the choice we made to the south rim was not truly what we wanted and they had no problem exchanging our reservations to the west rim. It has been a long time since I took an organized tour and I was quite surprised to see that the bus was full we only had the bus driver and a recorded voice that gave us some of the information we needed. First I thought that it would be a very difficult trip with this type of set up but the bus driver Tom was incredible. He maintained your interest during a long bus ride by captivating us with stories , information and delightful humor! He showed real interest in keeping everyone happy and safe. It is not an easy job to keep 45 people happy but Tom did just that. Grey Line company is a well established company that I had used many many years ago while raising my sons,I am so glad to see the company has not only maintained their quality but in truth improved it. This is a great trip to the Canyon. An excellent company to go with and if all the staff are like Tom than you have it made. Enjoy the Canyon!

Superior

By greatwhiteshark2 |

We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening. It is located in the Desert shores community in Summerlin. As soon as you walk in you are struck by a very delicious ambiance. You walk through the bar & as you approach the dining room, you see the Lake view. The sunset on the clouds exhibited gorgeous hues of dark gray & purple. We ordered the Harvest special & the choices were paired with the appropriate wines. Every one had the flat iron steak except me...I had the Venison. One of my all time favorite wild dishes. The steaks were cooked to order & were exquisite. My Venison was absolutely fantastic & cooked to perfection. Some of the best Venison I have ever tasted. The wines were wonderfully paired, white with the salads & Red for the meat. We all sat there for at least 2 hours enjoying that "DELICIOUS AMBIANCE". They well deserve their reputation. This is definitely Michelin two to three star. I would give them a five star rating & recommend it very highly.

Lunch date

By Misty F |

I had the crispy chicken panini with truffle fries. My partner had the Americana burger, also with truffle fries. The truffle fries were definitely up there with the best I've ever tried. The panini was delicious. It had 2 pieces of white meat chicken, and basil aioli sauce. The burger had caramelized onions, aged cheddar, and a potato bun. We both ended up taking half of our food home. The view was fantastic! We were seated on the patio very close to the lake. We watched the ducks, geese, and fish while waiting. The only downside was the service. To start with, the waitress dropped one of our pieces of bread on the way outside. She never brought a replacement. We were seated about thirty minutes before our order was even taken, even though they weren't busy. We were not asked about a refill on our drinks until we were finished eating. Overall, the food and the view more than make up for the disappointing service.

Dining at the Lake!

By LynnElsdon |

Americanna Las Vegas is a beautiful restaurant that sits on a lovely man-made lake. The food is creative and delicious. The menu is small - but just right for deciding, and offers a nice variety. This restaurant offers a nice selection for lunch and/or dinner. The service was excellent and everyone who works there is friendly. They seem genuinely caring about your dining experience. We ordered mussels,... and the chicken dish. Lemon tart for dessert was a great presentation and tasted absolutely wonderful. This was not a planned lunch - we did not have a reservation and there were lots of empty tables. One might imagine that this restaurant would be very busy on the weekend evenings. Perfect for a Dinner Date! They have ample seating outside and inside. I also observed a few different sectioned-off areas that would serve nicely for private parties. This would a beautiful place for wedding as well - there is a real good ability to flow from section to section. I love this restaurant!

Treat yourself, you deserve it!

By Julie |

We came in for a birthday dinner, and it became a delicious memory. When you feel like indulging in food, how it should be prepared. How it should be served, how you should be treated. The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The assistant servers never let us wait for a thing. And the Captain was most attentive with suggestions, and had any answers we may have had. The Restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Set right on the little lake at Desert Shores, and with open views all around. Astounding atmosphere. Our started was delicious, a Truffle Egg salad , and we both had the bone in Rib-eye that was cooked to perfection with a whiskey reduction I am still dreaming about. For dessert we had a scrumptious Chocolate Peanut butter bar and the cheese cake with blood orange sorbet. It was a birthday I will surely remember for some time. We cannot wait to return to try Brunch! Perfect meal!

The Worst Thanksgiving Dinner

By globbiztravel |

After reading all the reviews and one of our friends had friends that raves about this place we decided to go here for Thanksgiving dinner at $68 per person for 3 course menu - 2 choices per meal (appetizer, main and dessert). The restaurant was quite dark which was very strange and very cold as well. It was raining out and when we entered the floor was very slippery and I mentioned it to the hostess, but she just laughed. We were seated fairly quickly. The place was not packed and it emptied out rather quickly. The service was fine. White table cloth on table but they certainly did not enforce a dress code here. There was a wide range of bad clothing choices by guests. I mentioned to waitress that I have an allergy to tomato, she noted it. We each ordered our choices - I got the salad, the other two -the truffle soup, we all got the turkey and then 2 got the pumpkin cheesecake and 1 got the banana nut sundae. The salad was ok, nothing to write home about. Pretty hard to screw up a salad. The truffle soup came in a cup typically used for French onion soup and it was covered in a dough. The cup was only 1/2 filled with soup and the short rib was barely present. They didn’t finish the soup. The waitress informed me that the chef said the turkey gravy contains tomato base. I’ve never heard of this nor experienced this in any restaurant across the globe. So no gravy for me. That was a let down. The food came out. The turkey pieces looked like big slices of fish streaks - except these had fatty skin and the turkey was not cooked properly as the texture was soft and chewy and not cooked. I heard the gravy tasted like peanut sauce - so what chef puts peanuts (many more allergic people ) in a turkey “pan” gravy. Another let down. The stuffing looked institutional / cafeteria style. There were no dinner rolls served. The turkey had no taste, no seasoning - nothing. The cranberry sauce was more like a borsch soup with hints of orange. A travesty!! So we thought - hey at least we have dessert coming. OMG - the pumpkin cheesecake was a sliver of a sliver of a sliver of half an actual slice of pie. I felt like I was in the hospital or in a hospital cafeteria with my little sliver. The taste was equally depressing - it tasted like an easy bake version with pumpkin out of a jar. Yuck! The banana bread sundae with gelato was consistent in size and lacked any existence of gelato. The meal was way overpriced at $68 per person. Based on what we experienced and ate (very little) - it should have been priced at 9.99. Coco’s and Mimi’s would have tasted a thousand times better than this fake restaurant. The chef should find another line of work.

This was one of our regular stops for breakfest. Food was great. They have the most amazing doughnuts in the front if you just want something quick.

We had the Braised All Day Short Rib(melts in your mouth) Truffled Potato Cube ~ Heirloom Carrots ~ Natural Pan Roasted Halibut* Bok Choy ~ Pee Wee Potatoes ~ Mango Butter Lettuce Poached Pears  ~ Blue Cheese ~ Pomegranate Vinaigrette Enjoying an upscale restaurant in our town!😊

We have lived locally for 18 months and we're sad we didn't try Americana sooner. Beautiful menu with service and menu to match. We will be back!

It is about the craft of contrasting flavors!

By kumtux |

We have been in mourning since the closure of Alize', in search of OUR new favorite place. This is it! We like dining off the strip, so the Americana offers a very nice quiet, peaceful and romantic alternative to the Las Vegas scene. From the appetizer to the desert, everything was fresh, very nicely presented and offered with a creative artistic flair of colors and flavors. Very romantic, quiet place on the lake. Friendly and attentive service. By comparison, quite reasonably priced. Every bite was excellent, including the wine. This our new venue for celebrating birthdays and anniversaries..

Worth every bite

By mpicojr |

Being a new resident of Las Vegas and wanting to experience a great restaurant for my fiancée for our anniversary we decided to try out Americana for the first time and we were not disappointed at all. They have an excellent dinner menu along with delicious appetizers to go along with. The service was amazing as well. The main courses were honestly something that will keep you coming back for more. They also sat us down with views of the lake which upped the wow factor for the restaurant as well. I also want to mention that they were extremely accommodating with my fiancée and her gluten-free preference. A really amazing treat and worth it for visitors and locals combined.

Excellent find in Desert Shores

By riskman |

I went here for our anniversary dinner, told the restaurant ahead of time what the occasion was and when we were brought to our table there was a nice note by the chef and the restaurant wishing us a happy anniversary. The food was excellent.I had the trout and my wife had the Lobster Ravioli. Portions were decent size not some skimpy nothing like you get at those famous chef strip restaurants where you take out a second mortgage at the door for the pleasure of dinning in their restaurant. For desert we ordered the Peanut butter bar and the restaurant also threw in a piece of cheesecake for us for our anniversary. The service was excellent, they were always checking to see if everything was OK. They go out of their way here. The views of the lake are great and inside as well. There are not that many good restaurants in this part of Vegas-its kind of a food desert. I am glad to have found this place, a great alternative for the fancy shmancy of the strip. I highly recommend Americana and we will be back.

The Place Has Had Its Day

By HawaiiKaiGail |

As my title states, the place has had its day and it appears to us, that day , was long ago. Arrived on a Friday for lunch. The place was empty. We should have left but we had heard good things about the restaurant. Old fashion place that is trying to be formal but isn’t. Patrons are Very casual. Place is clean with a nice view of the lake. Older homes in the distance. Water was brought out with 4 slices of bread that looked very appealing. Well, it wasn’t. No taste at all. How does bread have NO taste? Took a good while for the server to come back over. Asked one question about the menu. She said she just started and didn’t know. Honestly, 10 minutes passed before anyone came to answer. We ordered 2 simple burgers with fries with sea salt, 25 minutes later, it finally arrived. This is in a restaurant that had only 4 patrons at the time. Burger was fine. The fries didn’t have any sea salt as advertised. Asked for mayo. They brought out some that is house made, Nasty. Like thick milk. Fries barely warm. EVERYTHING took a VERY long time…this is in a place that hardly had any customers. Wine at only $10.00 a glass. Good, except for the long wait time to get it. So, it was our first and very last meal there. Many better restaurants, food and service in Las Vegas. One doesn’t need to settle for this disappointment.

Wonderful birthday lunch

By aknute2 |

The wait staff of Jesse and Anthony are great. They were both very attentive without being overbearing. We both had the roasted Salmon in an blood orange sauce with baby vegetables. The salmon melted in our mouths, and the sauce was outstanding. Our table inside by the windows had unobstructed views of the lake. We can highly recommend this restaurant, and can't wait to come back for Sunday brunch.

Meh at best

By CriticalpamReturns |

We had a 630 dinner reservation. We requested to be outside. We did not get seated until after 7pm. Our table wasn't set, we had to ask multiple times for salt and pepper. Service was slow and inattentive. Never refilled water. We felt forgot about. Food was subpar. For a restaurant that says they are fine dining, they really missed the mark.

Great lunch

By jpvegas52 |

Friends and I recently had lunch at Americana. The decor was clean and the view of the lake was outstanding. We had salad, octopus, croquet madam, salmon and steak sandwich, finished off with crime brûlée. The food and service were all 5 star quality. I highly recommend.

6-star rating

By JY |

If there were a 6-star rating, Americana definitely deserves it! What an amazing dining experience on X'Mas eve. The setting and ambience was sophisticated yet relaxing, the X'Mas decor was clean, simple and inviting. Service was exceptional, right down to all the details. Food was exquisite with balance of taste, colors and textures. Thank you Veronique and your staff for an unforgettable evening. This will definitely be the first of many visits here. I would definitely recommend this amazing jewel to all my friends and family.

Bad attitude, could have cared less that Thanksgiving dinner was ruined

By DesiScituateMA |

I made a Thanksgiving reservation on Open Table over a month ago to dine at Americana. We showed up 15 minutes before our reservation time and were told they were over an hour behind. The people at the desk seemed like they could care less they inconvenienced their customers. No apology, just attitude. I understand people linger at tables especially at holidays but they could easily have solved this issue by allowing more time for each reservation or not taken so many to begin with. A courtesy phone call to update us would have been appreciated. Many people waiting were very angry and not happy with the staff attitude at all. We ended up leaving, no dinner, will never return.

Beautiful Restaurant

By Michelle |

I went to Americana to have a romantic going away dinner with my man as he was leaving town the next day. Our server was one of the best I have had in a long time. He was very knowledgable and attentive. We asked if we could get a dish without truffle oil in it and the chef kindly obliged which doesn't always happen! We started out with the Burrata salad which had a great presentation, but surprisingly didn't have too much flavor considering it had beets and fennel. For our mains we had Swordfish and Prawn pasta pomodoro. Both were delicious and cooked perfect! The ambiance is beautiful, but the music was somewhat loud pop music and would have preferred something more low key considering the beauty of the restaurant. I also was hoping for a bit more variety on the menu for starters as there were way too many salads and not much else to choose from. Overall it was a great experience with a few things to improve on.

Amazing.

By Carrie Anne C |

Have been here several times and will definitely continue coming back. Delicious food (short rib in particular), impeccable service at a beautiful location in Desert Shores. You'd never know you were in Vegas. Gorgeous spot. Highly recommend it.

Serious cuisine

By William D |

Interesting combinations of flavor and ingredients. Well prepared, impeccably served, by and large. Nice, romantic view onto the small lake. Enjoyed the butternut squash soup, although it was somewhat sweet. But the highlight appetizer was clearly the exquisitely prepared octopus. The floor show preparing the steak au poivre was elegant, and the wagyu steak incredibly tender and flavorful. Wine list looks more truncated than it is because they stuck hard liquors in the middle of it. The restaurant was not full by any means, but the pacing between courses was a tad exaggerated. Easy parking.

Dinner out

By Hendersoned |

This location is awesome and has been at least three different restaurants. Americana is the finest. It is not an inexpensive place to pop in for a quick bite, it is resplendent. Take your time, enjoy the food and service. The service was the most responsive, attentive and friendly EVER! They have really taken service to a high art. As a family we had braised short ribs with tiny vegetables it was very very tender amazing quality the taste was out of this world. Also had Chilean sea bass on a bed of spinach very nicely done and a crispy skin chicken, the chicken with some of the best I have ever tasted! we also got mushroom ravioli appetizer - very complex flavors, along with a beautiful presentation it was a feast for the eyes and the pallet. Save up your money and go there you will not regret it.

Best Champagne Sunday Brunch in Vegas

By Nina-TomC-1 |

Vegas residents since 1979, we've seen Sunday brunches come and go; some outstanding, some mediocre. Our last favorite closed last year, and we have been searching to find a new one. THIS IS IT!!! Tasty, creative food offerings which are unlimited and yet you're not scooping out of huge trays in a buffet line, they provide table service! Service is impeccable (ask for Casey as your server) and price is very reasonable. View of the lake and ambience inside is simply a plus. No place on the Strip can touch this for quality or fun, so treat yourself and take the short trip to The Americana! We discovered it about 6 months ago, and now go at least once each month. Nina and Tom C.

Excellent Venue

By BuckeyeTraveler68 |

Enjoyed our dining experience. The outside patio was very unique that you wouldn't find anywhere. Their Harvest menu was available during our visit which is a great value. What also made our dining experience exceptional was our waitress Katlynn. Her attentiveness and great personality added to a great evening.

Americana

By Raymond S |

Saw 75 ratings all 5 star and had to try it out. And, wasn’t disappointed! Exceptional service, great menu selection. Good wine selection but could be bigger. Corn and coconut chowder was unique and great! Sea bass with black sesame seeds was excellent. Ribeye was good.

Wonderful “Secret”

By SylsMom |

Celebrated my son’s 40th birthday here for lunch today. “Ace” and Robert could not have been more professional or nicer. For drinks, we had a smoked old fashion and negroni; both perfect. Ordered the hamburger and salmon; again, excellent. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Ordered the chocolate cake but they had just changed their dessert menu and offered a peanut butter/chocolate dessert. Again, just delicious! Definitely seek this restaurant out. The views are incredible, too.

Fine Dining Times Ten

By Kyivguy |

I just returned home from the finest meal that I have had in recent memory. I ordered the tasters menu which consisted of five courses each better than the one before. Trying to describe just how amazing the meal was would be like trying to explain what it was like to spend an evening with Angelina Jolie. You just have to be there. The wine list is extraordinary with a wide range of price points and choices. I had a wonderful bottle of Biale Black Chicken Napa Zinfandel. The service was high quality and the view of the lake makes for a perfect complement to the meal. I will be returning for the Sunday brunch next week. The restaurant is a 15-20 min. drive from the Strip and frankly for this place I would walk rather than miss out.

Great Little Suprise

By Sheila M |

Food and ambiance are both great. Hidden neighborhood gem. Ask to be seated by the water. Enjoy a nice glass of wine with your dinner or Sunday brunch

Wonderful Brunch

By Mark K |

This is the first time going here, and it was memorable! We came in with two friends for Sunday brunch. The service was impeccable! Friendly and efficient. It is an extensive AYCE menu. They brought out the plates with small tastes for each person. They would bring out more, but we didn’t make it through the entire menu. The dishes had creative twists to them that made for an excellent experience. Plus of course a wonderful setting right on their lake, made it even more enjoyable. We look forward to returning again for brunch, plus trying out their weekday offerings!

Take the Drive

By palabrasmalas |

I'm always a little reluctant posting great ratings on my favorite eateries as I would rather not have to make reservations and battle the crowds. Sorry I don't have more pictures, don't those little morsels of goodness look yummy? And they have great drinks and ambiance.

New York

By Heather C |

Great meals for the price--- you wont go broke--- breakfast was great and had dinner a few times--- love the fish and fries--- service great and fast. staying at New York New York --- you should eat there.

Fantastic food Great service

By mduganre |

Food really great, not just good. Setting is peaceful with nice lake views. Service is attentive without being intrusive. They know what it takes to make a lunch or dinner an experience not just a meal. ( no I am NOT a friend of the chef or staff) The fettuccine is a very special dish with a delightful presentation. Lamb was well prepared and also beautifully presented. This is an exceptional restaurant where the experience exceed the price ($$$$). We go about twice a month. My waistline can’t afford more frequent visits.

Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸👍❤️

By NNN8NNN |

We stop by Americana today and we had great view and amazing food at this restaurant!!! Fireworks view is amazing we had relax amazing lovely moments at this restaurant 😍😍🇺🇸✨ We like to come beck here next year 4th of July 100% 🎶😊🎶

Underwhelming

By Heather |

The waitress was nice but we didn't see her very often. The italian eggs benedict with crab was just ok. I expected more crab for the additional $18, there wasn't very much prosciutto, the sauce was bland, and it didn't come with a side. The sangria was delicious however. Overall it was underwhelming and I probably won't be returning for a while.

A place where they pick what you eat

By Melissarocks88 |

So let me start with the setting was very nice. It was right on (what I assume is) a man made lake. It was a quiet little restaurant with a piano for live music. The food was decent, nothing to ride home about. It was extremely dark so you couldn't really see the menu or the food in front of you. The real kicker was when the dessert came. So my husband orders something that they are apparently out of. So instead of being asked what he wants he is brought something that he doesnt even like. When we asked the waiter his response was (and I quote) "well this is better anyways". Apparently we paid $100 for a meal where he knew what was best for us. I couldn't believe the oddasidy. We were dressed casually and decided to treat ourselves with a fancier meal and were treated as though we were beneath their standards to serve us. Ignorant. I will never be eating here again and I advice the same for anyone who wants to be treated like a human being. However if you're indecisiveness brings you trouble at ordering time this place will do it for you so have at it.

Amazing Food and view!

By Cynthia |

Food and view was amazing! My waiter Clyde was very informative, nice, attentive, energetic and professional! He made my night! Sadly, we also had another waiter serving us as well (Julio) & he has terrible customer service. He does not let this company shine, especially for it being $$$

Amaazing experience with great service and food

By Frank A |

We had great time at Americana restaurant in Las Vegas. Thw service was top notch. Alisa was excellent. She went above and beyond to provide us with high level of costume service. We were there to celebrate the life of our loved one. I definitely recommend this restaurant for great service and the food as well. I had short rib. My wife has salmon. Both plates were amazingly delicious. Thank you

No Reason to Go Anywhere Else for Sunday Brunch!

By Joannegilbert |

Loved Sunday Brunch at this gorgeous restaurant! The Sweet Corn Chowder was blissful! The buttermilk pancakes were mouthwatering, and Rosa's Meatball Crostini was perfect! Could not have asked for better service from the lovely hostess, congenial yet professional waiter Vinnie, and every staff person who attended my table. This location has never been successful, and I've been disappointed by every restaurant there until this one! I look forward to going again soon!

We had a mediocre dinner at Americana in Las Vegas

By Anthony S |

We had a mediocre dinner at Americana in Las Vegas. The hostesses and the servers were charming and professional. The food was mediocre and the drinks were also mediocre. It was empty on a Friday evening. The decor is average.

Graduation Dinner

By TRULYBLESSEDAT60plus |

My 10 year old nephew was blessed to have his graduation dinner at this fabulous restaurant by the lake. Our reservation was at 6:00 pm which was a perfect time with outside seating. Facing the clubhouse with paddle boats, ducks, turtles and several breeds of birds made the atmosphere very pleasant, especially the children. Started out with drink orders and bread that was so good that it disappeared like magic. Our appetizer was a seafood tower with lobster, crab, octopus, shrimp and oysters. Separate orders of filet mignon, scallops and salmon were overshadowed by the humongous tomahawk steak which was shared by four, with leftovers to take home and a very happy dog to enjoy the bone. Definitely check the menu online because some items can be very pricey but well worth it for special occasions. All servers and receptionists were very polite and helpful

Hidden Neighborhood Gem on the Water

By Michele C |

This is a hidden gem restaurant in the corner of the mall area. Very quaint bar with a very good happy hour. Caesar $8, Shrimp Tacos $10, and Gray Goose with soda $15. The bartenders are very attentive. The service is slow but perfect for those who are not in a rush. Two large TV's in the bar. Regular menu is extensive. Wine selection is limited by the glass. Plenty of parking. Worthwhile dining experience.

FANTASTIC!

By LSC L |

WOW!! I had to plan a party thru email as I lived out of state. and had never been to restaurant before so was very nervous about everything. Worked with Michael during the first part of planning, and then Joseph jumped in. They both were amazing in every way. Professional and courteous, and worked with me from beginning to end. My true service superstar was Francisco! He was unbelievable! I have been a food & beverage director for 25 years, and always look for the special quality of customer service first. From the first minute I knew he was going to make my party a success. The food was also amazing, the chef and her team do an amazing job, as all my guests raved. A special Thank you to Americana and the whole staff. Will most definitely return on my next trip back to Vegas! Leslie Curtis and the Britney Birthday Brunch crew!

Wonderful Tapas-Like Brunch

By Brewvet |

My wife and I were in Vegas for the Western Veterinary Conference and were looking for a nice place for brunch. After seeing the Buzzfeed video of the Sterling Brunch I initially wanted to go there but after reading several mediocre reviews decided to look elsewhere. I discovered The Americana online and took a chance at getting a reservation with Open Table. Luckily we did for we found this restaurant to be delightful. Brunch is a prix-fixe with a set menu consisting of small plates. There is no buffet, which makes it better, in my estimation. No one dish is overwhelmingly large and, of course, you can ask for as many dishes as you'd like. Our server, Jesse, was very professional and polite, with extensive knowledge of all dishes. He knew just when to ask if we were ready for anything else without being intrusive or boorish. The food was exquisitely prepared; the chefs here really know their craft. Highly recommended is the grilled portabella, shrimp and grits, the roasted tomato soup and the pumpkin-cheesecake filled crepes, but you can't go wrong with anything. We had a wonderful, leisurely meal in an elegant surrounding with a wonderful view of the lake. I highly recommend the Sunday Brunch at the Americana!

Sunday Brunch is awesome! Service is tremendous.

By Mrkblue |

It was 42 dollars a person and worth more than that. It was Tapas style and contained 20 courses. Yes 20. For those that don’t know, Tapas is small plates. 3 or 4 pieces of a appetizer size serving. Everything was top notch quality. I don’t think they are making any money on the brunch. For an additional $17 you get bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s. AND.....you can ask for more of any of the 20 courses. Better than a cruise. I HIGHLY suggest you try it. Plus the setting is right on the man made lake.

Amazing food and beautiful Front of LAKE restaurant !!Love to go back again ❤️Next time I love to go there Sunday brunch
