We travel frequently on business and have strong dietary preferences and are honestly quite demanding on our restaurants that we frequent. This unusually request friendly hotel lobby venue produced simply baked Alaskan salmon, from scratch organic green salads, and a quite amazing grass-fed burger as appropriately "rare side of medium rare" as requested. Couple this with a reasonable selection of draft beers and an outdoor firepit patio with optional blankets and expectations were exceeded. Just avoid the expensive scotch. Ah well, something to work on ...

The food is very good with all kinds of choices to suit whatever your palate wishes. It was well prepared, with wonderful service.

Stephanie, Dion, and Tony were tremendous. I travel a lot for business but these guys made you feel right at home and went beyond to make my stay enjoyable

Great service. Needed a place to watch the Super Bowl at the last minute so we popped into the nearest Marriott. Delfina will stop in again.

Watch SB60 in the bar. Dion & Stephanie, the bartenders, are friendly and attentive. Reasonably-priced drinks and nice atmosphere.

The Marriott hotel was A+ but this restaurant was not. It is possible it was because we were there between lunch and dinner. The server was overworked and the food we ordered was nothing special.

Had a great time at Amuse Bar and Restaurant. The food was on point, the cocktails were well-balanced, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Dion checked in and made sure everything ran smoothly, you can tell he cares about the guest experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Alison was amazing with our service and everyone that came to the bar while we were sitting there. Toni was behind the bar too and the creator of the Old Fashion and he and his creation were amazing as well. Thanks for your amazing service and conversation.

Amuse is the lobby bar and restaurant at the Marriott. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating, even going out of their way to get something for me that was not on the menu! The drinks are good, great wine and beer selection, but a cocktail with top shelf liquor was $20. A good place if you want to be “in for the night”. Ask for Stephanie!

Pretty basic Hotel Lobby Fare, but it was flavorful, and well prepared. Best part was the staff. Colin at the Bar was very friendly. Abby was a server, and remembered my name between visits. High praise for that!

Dion and Stephanie were amazing. Popped in for a drink and watch the SuperBowl. So fun!! Will be back soon! My husband and I had a great experience

The food was very tasty and well presented. I got the fish tacos which was probably one of my favorites to order from there. but the bill was very high for the quantity of food I received. Nice ambiance with the fire pits and all

Amuse is the bar/restaurant inside the Marriott La Jolla. It's a very cool indoor/outdoor/patio set up with a bar and a fire pit in the middle. I was very surprised that it was HOPPING from about 4-9 PM on a Thursday night. Often hotel bars are so low key!

Other than a few months of the year dining here is what one imagines San Diego to be. Combination inside/outside with a large fire pit ( fire pit a bit gassy) Service other than daytime bartender is solid Marriott trained. They had just rolled out their new spring / summer menu highly recommend the Pastrami sandwich they advertise "made in house " and it really does have that taste fantastic worth the stay.
