I've been reluctant to go in because I thought it was kind of a rough neighborhood but the place is nice inside and the clientele seemed just fine. 3 of us sat at the bar and had beer and wine. They have complimentary peanuts that you can shell which was fun. I noticed a guard patrolling the area. I believe he was an armed guard which made me feel safer. Would go here again.

I have been going here a couple of times now and have had good service and good food. All the peanuts you can eat and throw the shells on the floor. I always get the steamed clams they are really good, not gritty and have an olive oil, garlic and wine broth to dip the bread in. I also get the deep fried pickle spears. My partner got the beef dip sandwich and it was plentiful and tasty. I will keep coming back here now that I moved near this neighborhood.

fab food and great customer service we were shopping at the mall and got hugry best clam chowder in oregon peanuts to throw on the floor.......love it

Good deals but strange service. Don’t go for a friendly face, unless you bring your own. Not sure why Jantzen Beach can’t get good waiters and bartenders. Safeway has the best customer service tbh.

Funky atmosphere with peanut shells on the floor. Great drinks, fun staff with good bar food, great weekend breakfasts and Bloodys and a whole lot of screens to keep up on your favorite teams!

This is a great local bar that serves pub food. Everything is a good portion size and of decent quality.

We stumbled onto this place just driving around at Jantzen beach. Although it’s a complete a hole in the wall you can kick back and enjoy some peanuts and throw them on the floor just like some of the steak houses the prices seem fine and it was game day so lots of stuff to watch on the TVs and don’t forget you can also play video poker.

I walked in with my friend. Apparently the waitress has a crush on my friend. She treated me like crap. Made fun of me so bad in front of everyone. She doesn't even know me. The stuff she said was so rude and embarrassing. Will never come back.worst experience ever.

We have visited the Anchor bar on many occasions and always find their servers to be friendly and outgoing. There is great music playing, the drinks are good, and they have a loyalty program that provides $10 off your bill after every $100 you spend!
