We had dinner at Andina Restaurant for the first time. The food and service was excellent. They have an interesting menu. Very good wine and cocktail options as well. We will return!

My friend & me were in last weekend for lunch. Food was lovely, service also wonderful. The place was busy but it did not Impact our service.

Sorry, we visited this so called Peruvian Restaurant a few days ago, and what a dissapointment. This place has absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH PERUVIAN FOOD. It's ALL more americanized or infused, and nothing of the AUTHENTIC food you eat in Peru. Service is mediocre to say the least, tough to get parking and totally OVERATED AND OVER PRICED for sure. If you are looking for that fine DELICIOUS Peruvian FLAVORS, you are going to the WRONG PLACE. There are two other Great Peruvian restaurants in Portland, not maybe as fancy as Andinas is, with there white table cloths and all that crap, but you will EXPERIENCE THE REAL DELICIOUS FLAVORS of Peru, that's for sure. What a dissapointment and we spend lots if $$$$ for a party of 4. We DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PLACE.

We loved this restaurant, great service and the food was outstanding. All the seafood is prepared in such an original manner, nothing like American cuisine. Try this Peruvian star.

Andina came highly recommended to us and I have to say, it didn't live up to expectations. The food was only ok, there seemed to be way too many tables for the space and it was overly loud.

Food is just as flavorful as it was 15 years ago, but most dishes were excessively spicy and that was not needed in the past.

What a great lunch place with bright colors and food. And, who knew how good Peruvian food could be with a unique selection of cocktails. Every dish was bursting with spicy flavors.

Wow! We all enjoyed this dining experience. From the tapas to dessert, everything was delightful and different. My cocktail was yummy-rum, grapefruit and cardamom. We had tasty little empanadas to start, and the entrees were plentiful with just the right seasoning. I had a caramel cookie which was good but not that exciting. Friends had cheesecake with passionfruit sauce that was like being in the tropics. Service was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was lively and elegant. Just a bit noisy for conversation. Overall, a wonderful experience!

We ate here our first night in Portland. Lucky us! We had never eaten Peruvian food, so the five of us decided to get 3 tapas plates and 3 dinners to share. We ordered empanadas, lamb, shrimp, beef, ... It was all so delicious. And the Malbec wine paired perfectly with everything. But, we could not have made such great choices without the help of our waiter David P. So helpful and charming. And, we also had the honor of speaking to the owner. It was truly a wonderful experience.

Im not too sure I can add anything which others havent already said about Andina, however, this was an incredible dining experience!! My daughter and I just checked into our hotel and this was just a quick 10 minute walk. It was a Tuesday night and we didnt have a reservation, however, we were warmly welcomed and promptly seated in the dining area by the bar. Really cool vibe and lighting inside and was lively, however, not overly loud so you could easily have a conversation. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful explaining the menu as we had some questions. The first item we ordered was off the drink menu...TÚPAC TOPOTOPO which is a freeland forest gin, housemade gooseberry syrup, rosemary, lillet blanc, verjus blanc. Absolutely delicious and refreshing balanced flavor and on the sweeter side. Next up was PAPA A LA HUANCAINA which are crispy ozette fingerlings, huancaina sauce, olives, chives, cured egg yolk. Ideal to share and so much flavor! Before our main course arrived and since we had such a great experience with the first cocktail we also tried the SACSAYHUAMÁN which is habanero vodka, passion fruit, cane sugar, sugar rim. While we thoroughly enjoyed the first drink this was easily our favorite. Not too spicy but the spice is definitely present, however, its nicely balanced out with a pleasant sweet and sour element. Highly recommend! Finally our main course was the MILANESA DE CERDO CON TALLARINES which is a pork cutlet, dried tomatoes, botijia olives, ricotta huancaina peruvian pesto, linguine. As with everything else this has such great balance of flavor and nice little pops of brininess from the olives. We should have stopped here, however, the dessert menu beckoned and we couldnt ignore the decadent Peruvian chocolate mousse. First, its a huge portion which could easily feed three, but this dessert is seriously amazing! Lots of rich chocolate flavor, coffee brownie and a layer of tartness which helps cut through the richness. I cant recommend this restaurant enough. It deserves all its accolades and I hope I can make another visit before we head back home.

Starting with wonderful cocktails, then from the Tapas to the entrees, everything is delicious. I've been coming to Andina for years and they never disappoint.

Recommend eating tapas style with everyone ordering 2 dishes to share. Loved the terrine de Cordero and the lomo salted, don't miss the ensalada del huerto and the the yuca fritz. Would go again in a flash. Excellent and friendly staff.

Over the years, there have been few trips we've taken to Portland that have not included a reservation at Andina. This restaurant consistently delivers amazing, authentic Peruvian cuisine that always leaves us wanting to come back again. It's a Portland classic!

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner here. Service was friendly and efficient. Food and drink were both affordable and quite good overall. Something different. Recommended.

warm environment ,very polite staff, great food, and a menu full of interesting options! We had a great time here ! I totally recommend it !

This has always been our favorite spot in Portland to eat and I have been here at least 20 times. We came away this time disappointed. I don't know if they have changed chefs or what but the food was just okay. For the price it should be excellent.

The services and the desserrs were really good but the food and drinks not at all. The seco was good served cold. The lomo saltado is made with soy sauce, but for this restaurant it was made with a thick red super spicy sauce. I told the server about it and he said that people complained that it was too salty so they change the recipe. Im peruvian and I could say that a good lomo saltado is not salty if its is made the correct way. My husband just ate the meat because he was hungry but it was freaking spice. Also, the meat was not cook well and the prices are over priced. I wont come back again.

Andina is my absolute favorite restaurant in the PNW. The food is top notch. The service is exceptional and the bartenders know their way around the bar. WOW is everything delicious. It is an experience every time I go there and the flavors that are in the food are incredible. GO GO GO!!!

We went to Andina for the rehearsal dinner for a wedding. We ate in a private room downstairs. The food was outstanding and service impeccable. We have gone their for other special occasions and will certainly return.

My wife and I had a really amazing dinner at Andina over Labour Day weekend. From walking into the restaurant to walking out everything was top notch. Our server was very friendly and informative with the various menus choices, which by the way, are awesome. The meal was a gastronomical delight with just the right sizes portion. My wife had the ARROZ CON MARISCOS, a Peruvian style Paella. She is allergic to shrimp and they were able to accommodate this by ensuring that the seafood mix was made fresh without shrimp. She said it was the best paella she has every eaten. I had the ATÚN CON TACU TACU Y AGUAYMANTO - seared yellowfin tuna served on a bed of red lentil and rice. Suffice to say the plate was spotless when it left the table. Will definitely return to Andina on our next visit to Portland.

Food was exceptional- very interesting flavors. We would be regulars if we lived here. Service was above and beyond.

We were in Andina for my birthday and the staff went the extra mile to make my dinner special, food is delicious and authentic. Strongly recommend this picturesque place with a variety of food and a friendly service.

We had an awesome dinner here! Our server was Roberto and he was lovely, helpful and prompt. We loved all of our drinks and dishes. As a group of four we got 5 small dishes and 2 mains (and a dessert!) and it was perfect mix with good variety. Highly recommend for your trip to Portland!

Liked the vibe, especially all the big ferns. I really enjoyed the yuca frita and the lomo saltado. My daughter is vegetarian and got the quinotto. We were not fans. I really appreciated all the gluten free menu items, but would have loved to see a gluten free dessert besides ice cream. Server was very attentive. Would recommend!

You know a cultural restaurant is good when people from that country eat there. Andina's was recommended by our hotel concierge and confirmed by others in town to definitely eat there. We arrived early and sat in the bar sharing small plates and beverages that we decided to stay where we were. Lovely copper tables with enough distance from other patrons to have private conversations. The lighting and ambiance was perfect. Our waiter and wait staff were very informative, respectful and the food was so delicious. We tried a variety of plates, all tasty and surprisingly filling. We still made room for dessert, Peruvian cannolis, that topped off a perfect meal

The experience was wonderful! We had the best drink ever. It had some spice and some passion fruit with cilantro but I don’t recall the name. The octopus appetizer was so good we ordered two. And, all of our entrees were excellent too!

The food, the cocktails, and the staff are excellent. This is our favorite restaurant in Portland. Suggest ordering for the table and sharing the fantastic food. There is something for everyone. With the spice profiles used, one is transported to sunshine even on the darkest rainy days in Portland. Reservations are a must.

An excellent spot for a wonderful meal with so many menu options that were so tempting. We tried the scallops and they were amazing. My brother ordered the steak and I ended up sharing it with him as the flavors were so intense it was fantastic. Margaritas were also very good.

Our family of 11 was in town for the holiday, and we dined in a wonderful private dining room downstairs. 1. The small room is beautifully decorated and PRIVATE. 2. Our server was so very competent and congenial. professional and totally on top of his game. 3. The food was, as always outstanding. Private dining or not, we highly recommend Andina

Went here with friend who lives I'm Portland. Really great cuisine, and excellent service and wonderful Pisco Sours!

Food was very good. Service was very good. It’s a kind of restaurant every mid sized city has - packed all the time, tons of staff, a consistent quality, and massive space. It’s a kind of tradition for some to visit these places. Predictably better than adequate.

in planning our visit, I checked with three friends who live in Portland or recently visited. This restaurant was recommended by all three. High energy restaurant and the food was really excellent.

Very busy, sometimes noisy, but never a disappointment. The food, especially the seafood, is amazing. The different spices & preparations make a meal into a taste treat. Get small plates so everybody at your table can try a little of everything. Pleasant surroundings, friendly & helpful staff, & great food. Hard not to be happy when you leave!

We come here for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries as well as having a great meal out. This Peruvian food is absolutely delicious! We really like their seafood options. The staff pays attention to every little detail and recommends terrific wines to go with each meal. We will return again and again.

What a great place! The food was delicious and the portions were very satisfying! It is not the cheapest place but was well worth it. Staff were lovely and gave us a special dessert to celebrate our anniversary. You may need to book as it was very busy.

Great place to eat. Good food, interesting selections on the menu, truly Peruvian food . Very good wait staff. You have to try this place. There is no other place like this .

hat a wonderful treat. Our waiter was super informative and explained the Peruvian dishes precisely. Without it we would have been stumped. The food is not only good but beautifully presented. And, if you have a special occasion, be ready for a treat. We were there at lunch. If dinner, I think reservations would be a must.

6 of us showed up famished and without a reservation at 4:00. The manager scurried around and found us a lovely outdoor table. The staff could not have been more gracious or accommodating. I had recently spent 6 months in Peru where Lomo saltado had become a favorite dish and pisco sours had replaced margaritas in my affections. Both were the real deal. My meal was outstanding as were those of my 5 companions. Andina gets rave reviews from my camp!

Great location in the Pearl, just 5min from Powell's. Excellent food and personal service. I've been there many times in the last 3-4 years, a casual lunch with coworkers, a special dinner with an SO. The tapas is perfect for sharing, so tasty. The entree (Lomo Saltado) is my favorite. I recall a lovely conversation with Mama Doris who'd stopped by between our main course and dessert to ask us about our meal. She sat down briefly to chat, glowing about hers and her son's vision for the restaurant.

We had been told of Andina’s local popularity, and were hesitant because popular places are sometimes smug; not true of this place. They were welcoming and friendly from the start. Food was very creative and included rare ingredients, sometimes imported directly by the owner. Lamb was tender, and nicely seasoned. The grilled squid, served with a yellow pepper drizzle was outstanding. Good wine list. Our server Nolan, was patent, kind, and properly warned us of the degree of spicy seasoning. Service was prompt.

My wife is vegan, and we weren’t confident that she’d find good menu items that fit her dietary needs. We were delighted with the choices, and she described it as one of her best vegan meals ever. I loved my seafood paella and a green salad that was hearty and absolutely delicious (with a variety of textures, with greens, pumpkin seeds, and cojita cheese). Our server, Nolan, provided friendly, efficient, and attentive service, adding to our enjoyment of this superb dining experience. Highly recommended!!

We stopped in for a anniversary meal recently. The food is great, awesome flavors in the food and drink. Very friendly prompt service. I loved it, but to say this is the best in Portland is a stretch. It’s great, but not #1.

I want so much to write a positive review. In the past I have thought the quality of the food incomparable- just amazing and have eaten there probably 20 times. It was always a top special spot to take people. I must eat gluten free and they had amazing desserts and food in general that I could eat. They had offered a freebe appetizer of fried freshly cut yucca with wonderful sauces (as opposed to the chopped up probably prefrozen rectangles w had to pay for this time). I took my son out for his birthday and before the Covid pandemic he would have been able to choose any dessert off the extensive menu. This time the only birthday dessert offer was a mediocre sorbet with a candle. Please consider returning to your old ways. You were such a treat!!

The first time I went to andina I didn't like it, because as a vegetarian I only could eat several different types of potatoes. However later I learnt they have a separate vegetarian menu and that changed my opinion. The food is delicious made me fresh ingredients, servers are great and ambience is warm and welcoming.

Everything we had was excellent, wanted to lick the plates! The beet appetizer with chimichuri and pickled vegetables was spectacular. Get a pitcher of the sangria instead of a glass, you get the boozy fruit!

I've dined at Andina three times over the years when in Portland for work. This visit friends of mine from Eugene drove up to meet me for dinner. It was as wonderful as on my last two visits even though they are years apart. The dining room is comfortable, inviting, and the noise level is perfect for catching up with friends over amazing Peruvian food. The three of us sampled a wide selection from the menu and everyone loved everything they had. Not surprising, the ceviche is exceptional. We also very much enjoyed a roasted cauliflower appetizer and their pisco sours are among the best I've ever had. Our party had several food allergies and restrictions which our server was more than happy to help us navigate, including running to the kitchen several times to confirm ingredients in dishes we were considering. It was a lovely evening of good food and good times with friends. I plan to continue dining here any chance I get.

Short trip to Portland with young teens (who are awesome adventurous eaters and super easy to feed). We came to Andina upon recommendation of foodie friends and was only able to score a 5pm reservation, so we moved our day around to make this a priority - needless to say, we have high expectations and were super excited when we walked thru the warm earth toned decor. It’s our first time here so we didn’t know the layout of the restaurant. There is live music but we were seated on the other side (the wrong side) even thought there was ample empty tables for four. Worse, our table was tucked in a corner furthest from the windows, and even my teenagers had to hold up a phone light in order to see the food. The appetizers were great though portions small ($15 for one skewer that was three bites). We ordered the purple corn drink after seeing TA reviews and the flavour was interesting and. didn’t disappoint (but again, small). The entrees were so flat we were surprised and none among the four of us (again, hungry teenagers) would even finish the plate. The stir fry sirloin for instance tasted like a poor imitation of Chinese stir fry, the beef tough and flavourless, the fried potatoes soggy. The gnocchi too was bland and doughy. My paella (Arroz con mariscos) was an okay version of seafood paella in terms of flavour, but at least the shellfish, scallops and shellfish was fresh. That’s probably the only entree I would recommend. Sounds like Andina changed hands and had gone downhill (menu changed and they took out some of the long time favourites). Too bad we didn’t come here while they still had all the dishes that put them on the map in the first place. The server was visibly disappointed after hearing that we aren’t order sparkling water or alcohol - or the recommended appe’s; he did try to come back frequently to check on us. I commented that our table was too dark for us to even see our food (I had to hold up a phone to shine light onto the food the whole meal), and when I commented on the live music, he said it was unpredictable when they come (really!?) or which side of the restaurant they set up (doubtful)…. Very lame attempts to placate me. At these prices I’d give this restaurant a pass and save my money going somewhere else exciting such as Hat Yai (Thai). If you are coming, make sure you at least get a window by the table which has lamps above each table, or in the live music section.

The food here was SO good. The spinach empanda changed my life. I had the gnocchi as well, and my husband had the pork belly. All of the flavors were great and we enjoyed our dinner so much! Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly host who got us checked in and our waitress was also so great. She was very enthusiastic about the food as well so that made me look forward to it even more! Don't miss this place while in Portland!

Allow me to start by saying that the staff was nice. I waited to write this till the next morning. The location at he surface level was very nice looked elegant. My wife and I came to celebrate here on the advice of others. We were seated fairly quickly because we had a reservation. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant. For a location that is trying to be elevated and fine dining my table had a large sheet of paper as a table cover. I felt like someone was was going to bring us crayons soon. The picture frames were very dusty and the air duct that we were seated next was just filthy. Our server was nice and my wife asked if they had something on the menu that is listed on their website. He said no and that sometimes things are listed on other sites that don’t reflect what is on their current menu. She replied that this is on your website. He apologized and said he would let management know. We ordered Ceviche which was good not great but definitely had good flavors. Our main dishes were another story, my wife ordered the scallops which were not seared properly and I had the steak. The steak was served on a bed of quinoa that was about the only thing on the late that was edible. My steak was so over peppered that that I had to take a sip of water after each bite in order to taste anything else. Overall what we were expecting to be an amazing meal turned out to be quite a let down. Not a place I would recommend to anyone. Approach with caution.

Used to be my favorite Peruvian restaurant, creative, unique, delicious. Went last night and it was nothing like it used to be. Very few nods to the Peruvian food of the past. Salmon and quinoa $42 nothing else on the plate. Nothing spectacular or Peruvian. Lomo Saltado-i hated it. Meat and French fries and throw in some rice. Wtf. Pisco sours still good. Yuca chips delicious. So disappointed. Won’t be going back

Menu is vastly different than original and not as good. No scallops with crispy onion rings, no heart of palm salad, no avacado with crab and no crispy chicken or shrimp. The restaurant is not even half as good as it used to be. These items put this restaurant on the map. New menu is very uninspired and they were out of 3 separate items at 7:45. Service was excellent.

Upon being seated at our lovely patio table, our delightful server, Lauren, informed us that it was Peruvian Independence Day - and that there were many specials as a result! And we tried almost all of them! Starting with mixed seafood ceviche that included octopus - tender and flavourful. We stuck with the Entradas for our meal and tried the special chicken empanada which was flavourful and tender, both the chicken and pastry! We also had choclos (barbecued corn slices) and a tomato salad - and delicious cocktails, and wine....a real feast! Topped off with a special dessert of dulce de leche custard! Una comida muy excellenta!

We visited Andina on a recent visit to Portland and it was our favorite restaurant. The food was delicious and creative. Service was knowledgeable , courteous and friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Service great, food ok. Unfortunately we were not as impressed as others had implied. Ceviche was very “fishy”, the green salad bland, empanadas tasteless, chicken skewers were tasty. Overall nothing memorable. We would not return to this restaurant.

The food is so delicious, worth every penny. However I come from New Jersey so the same food we had we would’ve paid for half the price. It wasn’t too pricey the plates & it was beautifully presented with very good flavoring.

Excellent atmosphere & service. The food and service was excellent. Plenty of vegan choices and carnivores/pescatarian. Would highly recommend this spot and highly recommend making reservations in advance

We had a wonderful evening here. The service was brilliant, especially the waiter, who was very helpful and good fun. The food was excellent and arrived promptly and as described. The squid was the best I've ever tasted, cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend

This is a perennial favorite of ours, so much so, that we had our wedding dinner here. The Saksayhuaman is my favorite cocktail ever. Imaginative and delicious food.

We love everything about Andina. The food, the service, the ambiance, the music and the location. If you are in Portland, reserve and go! We always enjoy the creative scallop app and have trouble deciding between the chicken kabobs and the tuna entrees. Try them all. The wine list is well chosen ... and priced. We’ll be back on our next trip.

I enjoy the energy and the food at Andina. The food is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is festive.

Found it on TA and went there based on high ranking. It lived up to the ranking 100%. Service was excellent. Atmosphere and decor was perfect. Food: if people eat like this regularly in Peru, I am moving there immediately! These cooks are real professionals. The thought put into the ingredient combo and the preparation is truly amazing. We watched the cooks in action as much of it is deliberately visible, and we were amazed by the professional well-oiled machine that delivered dishes that were consistently aces. One of our new faves.

Our company had our christmas party here. They placed us in a quaint private room. The service and meal was perfect.

Peruvian cuisine was new to my palate and I appreciated that the surprise travel agency I booked with made a reservation for me here. However, I didn't receive a warm welcome at all and was treated like a lower class citizen who didn't belong at this pretentious establishment. Fortunately, after I was shuttled off and seated at the bar, David (bartender/server) took great care of me, explaining the menu and describing some the dishes to me. The arroz con mariscos (Peruvian rice, shrimp, clams, scallops, mussels, calamari, fresh peas, peppers, pecorino) was delicious and very filling; large serving.

We absolutely love this place, I always order their braised lamb and empanadas which are wonderful . I highly recommend this place . The ambient is great as well. Make sure you make reservations

This restaurant surprised us too much. Mega tasty, spicy, elegant, creative, wonderful food! We love it!

This meal was easily on my list of favorites!! It was delicious from start to finish, was beautifully presented, service was amazing, and the margaritas were fantastic as well. Try the beef empanada—it is unique and yummy. Also the ceviche is delicious. I’ll be back any chance I have.

My wife and I had a 7 PM reservation at Andina on a Thursday night and we enjoyed a fabulous meal with nice spirits and solid service. The restaurant itself is quite large and, if I had to say, the only thing I didn’t really like was our physical table for two. The table itself was quite small and we had to be thoughtful because one side of it was up against a wall so I had to pick my non dominant side (left) to be against the wall and have my back facing a pretty active corridor. Other than that very minor issue, the food we picked was amazing and really different (in a good way) and he had a great meal. We selected several appetizers to share - grilled octopus, a special mushroom soup and a beet appetizer. They were all incredible. We chatted with the couple who sat next to us and they were raving about the scallop appetizer that they ordered. For our main dishes, I had a confit of duck and my wife ordered a whole roasted halibut in an broth with bok choy. We were literally spooning the broth into our mouths at the end because it was that good. The fish also came with a side of rice mixed with quinoa that was surprisingly good. For dessert we had the cheesecake and an order of chocolate cake in the shape of a bar. We were very happy with all of our choices. I think it may have just been me but I felt like the mushroom soup and the duck were both very salty but undeniably delicious. The cocktails we ordered were both exceptional - one was rum based and they other contained mezcal. We were super happy with our entire meal and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that asks. If this review helped you in some way, please don’t forget to tap on the helpful (thumbs up) icon just below.

Everything at Andina is always great, very fresh, very original dishes, something for everyone. Can be a bit noisy.

We ordered the Avocado and seafood appetizer. Yummy! We shared two entrees, the seafood and beef stir fry. Loved them both and will definitely be back when in Portland.

Twice of lunch in last week. Such amazing food and a wine list that truly helps it to express all of its qualities. Lunch is a more relaxed time to visit.

Great wine list, and Food was above par..excellent servers and service. Ribeye was perfect. Lamb was fresh with perfect blend of spice.

As you enter, aromas of spice and seasonings transport you far away to Peru, and the unfamiliar aromas amplify the beautiful, warm wood inspired interior to complete the sense of arriving at a truly unique and inviting locale. For lunch, arrive before 12:15 to be seated quickly without reservations. For dinner, reservations recommended. We tried two of the signature drinks, both were delicious. Menu options are hard to choose because they all sound delicious. We choose to order the same, Fresh Fish Saguches (Peruvian sandwiches). Halibut was the selection, and it was prepared perfectly with crispy exterior contrasted with soft, moist, flaky interior. The buns and sides were perfectly balanced. The seasoning in the aioli was mouth watering delicious. The online menu for lunch has some glitch in that it shows only tapas and desserts. There are many options including larger entree portions. Lastly, service was top notch! David helped us understand the menu, and he and others took great care of us.

I visit Portland about 5 times a year and we usually do one day in “the Pearl” and eat here. The food is wonderful.

Great atmosphere and drinks. Ordered the Lomo Saltado (stir fried beef with rice and French Fries) my go to Peruvian dish. Turned out to be too salty. I was missing the spicy green sauce that I get at my local Peruvian spots down in Southern California. Overall a good experience, but I don’t know if I’d go back.

Plan to come hungry! This is a very popular restaurant and hard to get reservations for. If it’s a large group plan ahead. There is live music and is generally loud and lively. So if you are wishing intimate, you might want to try to ask for a cozy corner. The food is amazing. You cannot go wrong. I would just plan to do family style and share all the way around. TIPS: 1. The pisco sour is delicious but the SACSAYHUAMÁN is out of this world. 2. You seriously cannot go wrong on the tapas list. Everything is amazing. Take a group or go on a date. This is a super fun restaurant and a must visit in Portland. Just be sure to plan ahead.

The lime tasted off in the drinks and the food was bland (the opposite of authentic Peruvian food). Great atmosphere, but the meal just wasn't up to par.

The appetizers and the entrees were cooked perfectly and were delicious. I highly recommend the Andina for a great date night. Parking can be an issue, but there is street parking. We had Ceviche (mixed), lamb empanadas, beef, and paella. For dessert, we had pineapple-vanilla ice cream. The server was very attentive and gave great recommendations. All in all, a great restaurant!

Excellent food; don't know if it is the best in Portland. We like this place alot....just not quite 5 stars-good.

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Andina! Peruvian tapas was spot on and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our tapas and savory cocktails prepared by Grace. She is a star! This restaurant was a perfect end to a wonderful day!

First of all, Andina has been in Portland for a long time. And that’s saying something for a restaurant. It has and will always be a true dining experience. The food is absolutely unique and goes above and beyond anything you would ever expect. So hard to do in such a big restaurant. I highly recommend going here!

Peruvian restaurant in busy neighborhood. The food was excellent, the prices reasonable and the service very good. The restaurant was recommended in the AAA tour guide of Oregon, and we were very lucky with the recommendation.

I my seventy years I only have had one bowl of Beans and Rice as comparable. This is some of the best food I have ever had. I cannot praise this more. Every thing was perfect. If you are in Portland , do your self and eat there. Quinoa with a grastic is what it should be.

This is my second visit to Andina. Both times have had fabulous drinks, food and service. Sacsayhuaman (sexy woman) is a fabulous concoction of grapefruit and vodka. The chicken special had a delicious mild chile taste. Can’t wait to return to Portland and Andina.

Andina’s food was very good with solid empanadas and the lamb shank (seco de cordero very good. Restaurant was packed and loud with music playing over the noise. Recommend asking for table in non live music room,

As always, this is an outstanding restaurant. We would come back again and again. Interesting menu, great service, fun, atmosphere. We celebrated our daughters graduation from medical school here and they did an outstanding job serving a large group of people.

I'm Peruvian, and just relocated to Portland after 7 years in Miami, and sometimes I miss my food, so I had been looking forward to this meal for over a month. And let me just start by saying that the ambiance + service is EXCELLENT. Five stars there. Our server was courteous - and did his best to be both unobtrusive and helpful. The food was just OK though, and here's why: The beef heart anticuchos were overcooked, and the sauce wasn't as tangy or salty as I expected. One of my favorite Peruvian foods, but they're easier to overcook, and it makes a tough meat even tougher. Lima Peruvian restaurant in Beaverton does these pretty well, at a lower price. The langostino cebiche had a really strong fish taste, which I normally only see in cebiches where the meat wasn't quiiiiite as fresh as it should be, doesn't mean it was spoiled, but just past its peak. The grilled conchas were fine, but the grilling didn't seem to be present in the execution or flavor. Tacu tacu was good, asparagus was fantastic. Drinks were wonderful. Overall though, I wish I could recommend this restaurant more. Given all the rave reviews, maybe I built it up too high. I wish they had some of the simpler dishes that keep better and are easier to execute and also delicious. They should put stuff on the menu like arroz con pollo and aji de gallina. Not having suspiro limeño in the dessert menu may or may not be an oversight, but go try some and then lemme know :). Given the price we paid for the dishes we ordered it would be difficult to make the jump and try again. I think if they put the same amount of effort in the execution as the service, this place could be tops.

An incredible restaurant. A spectacular menu. Do not miss this celebration of Peruvian culture. Your meal will be one to never forget. For a fabulous experience, I suggest... Your cocktail: Sacsayhuaman Your Appetizer: Yuca Frita Your Dinner: Adobo Arequpino Disfrute!

Food and service are always a pleasure here, . but the bill always turns out to be more than you wanted. Things add up quickly. If you ask for a margarita, you're looking at $15. Happy hour is abysmally Tiny. Don't bother. Also, don't ask for a booth if there's only two of you, because you won't get it. Happy hour is only in the bar

I dined at Andina during my first visit to Portland in 2003. My wife and I were blown away by the cooking. It was unique, hearty and delicious. One of the owners, a charming woman, stopped by our table to describe our dishes and her passion for Peruvian cuisine was contagious. We returned the next night for another gracious experience. What a difference 18 years make. This time I was in Portland with a friend, my wife back in Seattle. Our reservation was for 8:30, but we were abruptly told our table was not ready, and I would receive a text when we should return. Thirty-five minutes later, at 9:05, I received the text. The restaurant was crowded, but not full. David was our excellent server, and he took excellent care of us. Drinks were wonderful and strong, perfect aperitifs before our meal. Appetizers arrived and they were delicious and refreshing, representing the best of Peruvian cuisine. For an entreé, we ordered the lomo saltado, an iconic Peruvian dish. And we waited, and waited, and waited. Our server David repeatedly apologized, but our appetites disappeared. The lomo saltado finally arrived, but the meat was tough and the dish appeared haphazardly prepared. When we asked about dessert, we were told the dessert line had left, told to go home. It was close to 11:00, but we were compelled to wait for our table and wait and wait and wait for our lomo saltado. The manager came over and comped the lomo, but our meal was ruined, and even worse, so was my memory.

Our party of 3 dined here on a busy Saturday night. We were lucky to get a table quickly when a reservation cancelled, and we were at the right place at the right time. We started with fried yuca, which was tasty. I had beef tips, my son had lamb shank, and my daughter-in-law had fish. We all enjoyed our meals. We ordered 3 Peruvian desserts: one chocolate, one an innovative take on a churro, and lucuma ice cream (made with a fruit that kind of tastes like a combo of butterscotch and coffee). Service was attentive but not hovering.

I came to this restaurant with my friends. We were told that walk-ins were available. But then it changed to a 45 minute wait even though a good 40% of the restaurant was empty. The entire downstairs was empty. There was no line out the door. Perhaps my minority friends were not welcome. Unacceptable.

This place rightly deserves its outstanding reputation. The owner recognized some in our party and chatted with us. Everything was delicious except the beef tongue, which was overdone and tough. We did not eat it and they removed it from our bill.

Had good vegetarian options for my daughters and I for dinner. This place was a little on the pricier side but it was worth it for the experience as a whole. Would recommend trying

The ceviche was incredible. The lamb chops were perfection. I could go on and on! So many gluten free options. Everything was beyond delicious. Get the GF quinoa flour chocolate cake. The staff was lovely and after learning that it was our first visit, we were given great insight and recommendations into the menu Go! Enjoy! (And consider making a reservation.)

Perfect place to go with friends to have little tastes of lots of variety. Once I was visiting California and a couple near me said they were going all the way to portland to just have lunch “at the best tapas place ever”. That says it all. Try a dish in each category. Their potatoes are amazing and don’t forget to order a drink.

Wow. Seriously, just wow. There is a reason that this is the number 1 place to eat in all of Portland. First off, the service here is absolutely spectacular. Secondly, the atmosphere is incredible, homey, warm, beautiful, with wonderful music and table set ups. And finally, and the most important part of it all: the food here is absolutely the best I have ever had. They put an amazing amount of work into creating the cuisine and frankliy the flavors just dance in your mouth. Eating here isn't just eating - it's an event and an experience. We spent a whopping $146 (not including tip) because we were honestly so happy to just try EVERYTHING. The menu is EXTENSIVE. I didn't take a picture of dessert, but we ordered the Sublime de lucuma, and we ate this at home the next morning because we were so full from dinner, and just like all of the other food, it was equally amazing. I feel like I am well versed with food at this point and I would say that this is the most AMAZING restaurant I have ever been to in my life time as the flavors are absolutely spectacular in everyway.

Wife and I visited Portland to attend a family wedding. I am from Barbados and grew up eating, preparing and cooking all manner of treasures from the sea, from sea urchin to albacore. So we went to Andina, the Peruvian restaurant which had many fine reviews but also to test the world famous renown of Peru's seafood cuisine. We went for a late lunch mid-week. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is not overly large nor is it small. It is decorated in earth tones and has a comfortable, warm ambience. Staff were quite welcoming and we were seated at a huge window looking onto the streets of the Downtown area of Portland. (which was much appreciated by us tourists!) The wine list, while not extensive, featured Oregon, California, French reds and whites and the obligatory fizzy rosés now de rigeur. And then, a complete surprise! Spain's best kept secret! This was a Tempranillo from the Ribera del Duero valley. This region exports only about 5-10% of it's very fine wines so we were as much excited as we were surprised! Excellent wine or should I say vino and expertly served! We ordered the world famous ceviche as one starter and we also had a salad with some uniquely Peruvian garnishes like an oversized corn kernel the size of a thumbnail and another grain that was roasted. These added a delightful crunch to the leaves and the vinaigrette dressing added a fantastic layer of complexity that made the dish perfect! Wife and I had paella, Peruvian style. We both remarked (in wonder) on the plentiful quantity of seafood in every forkful! We've never had so much seafood-shrimp, squid, mussels, octopus and fish mixed into this delicious rice dish anywhere we have traveled! Top marks to the Chef and culinary team! We shared a cheesecake dessert which was ordinary but after our world-class Ceviche and bountiful Paella we were in total bliss! The server, Maria was excellent and seemed to know exactly when to approach our table and when to leave us to ourselves. The kitchen is open and visible to most of the dining areas and this added to our gastronomic experience. Our lunch with wine and a 18% tip cost approx. $50 per person and the fine food was well worth it! We will visit Andina Restaurant for sure anytime we return to Portland.

We hadn't been to Andina since soon after it opened and this time we had friends join us. What a superb meal and experience we had. We wanted to be sure we got out at a certain time to get to a concert and the waitstaff did a superb job in making that happen without our feeling rushed. Every dish was spectacularly delicious. I had the Peruvian rice dish with shellfish and my wife had grilled hen as a main course. Both were magnificent. All of us shared appetizers and while all were outstanding I would say the grilled cauliflower and empanadas were all-time great. Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful presentation and phenomenal food! And the Peruvian brownie for dessert - wow! So glad we returned.

Friends night out, sharing plates. So delicious. Great service. I would definitely recommend for anyone to come here for date night or friends night out.

So relieved that Andina made it through the COVID ups and downs. They are back and as great as before. Staff are very helpful and attend to guests like a five-star resort. They provide suggestions and accommodate food allergies. Food is excellent. and even though the menu is pared down during this pandemic, every item I ordered tasted amazing and was presented in a fun and stylish way. The sauces are so delicious. If you don't have reservations, sit in the bar lounge area. I prefer it when solo or a party of two. Great atmosphere and other diners are friendly.

Authentic food. Excellent quality. Good variety. Very good staff. Attentive owners. Good location. Can cater to groups. Private rooms available

I love this place. It can be crowded but the service is always impeccable. I love the lomo saltado. The owner came to say hi to us. Food is always spectacular

Delicious food wonderful cocktails and also zero proof cocktail as well for those driving! Service is fantastic also.

Highly recommend! Great food and great service even in a night when the restaurant was packed! Will definitely go again!

Two friends and I ate at Andina at my daughter's recommendation. None of us was thrilled with our meals. This was over a year ago. I would be willing to give it one more chance.

Jose was fun and friendly when he opened the door for us and showed us to the table. The civichi was excellent . The drinks might taste too good as I need to drive. These people know their food and take pride in where it comes from. Would say don’t miss this gem of a restaurant.

As I was waiting for a friend to arrive from Nashville at PDX, a very nice (local) gave a very high recommendation to enjoy a meal at Andina. We went for lunch and it was excellent in every way. The atmosphere was lovely, service was wonderful and our selections were fantastic. I would go here often if I did not live clear across the country but am pleased I got to experience it while visiting Portland.

I went here because it is rated the number one restaurant in Portland. I ordered the wok fried steak with sauce that had tomatoes and peppers. It comes with steamed rice and a small portion of French fries. I also ordered their soup dejour which was cream of mushroom. When I got the soup it was garnished with chives which I hate and I kindly asked the server if I could get another bowl of soup with no chives. She brought one back along with a side of fresh sautéed mushrooms which was delicious. The steak bits were cooked perfectly. The dish is a little spicy which was amazing. I also ordered their featured wine which was a local rosé wine. I forgot the name. I service was excellent, the ambiance was great, and getting a reservation was easy on the opentable app.

Great food and a staff that can help you get the most flavor and taste options for a first-time visitor. We knew what we wanted for our main dish, but the server knew how we could try a couple of tasty appetizers to maximize our exposure to the menu and still have plenty to eat and enjoy for the meal. The service was fast and excellent, the menu had many options for all manner of tastes (and food restrictions if needed). A wonderful meal for "a night on the town"

The food here is exceptional. But the service is even better. Went for a birthday party, and even though we had a larger table, they went above and beyond. On a busy night, they did not falter. Now about the food...we tried sharing the small plates for appetizers. Delish! As for the entrees, exceptional. Dessert was no less imaginative, very good. I would recommend, highly.

Andina’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Such a delicious tasty experience every time.

5* Andina Portland Classic and new Peruvian Place is packed; need reservations The appetizers and small plates are killer Loved the pimiento piquillo relleno stuffed with quinoa, cheese, and serrano ham The empanadas were tasty My favorite was the pescado al rocoto y kión The desserts were wonderful e.g. chocolate andino and ice creams Excellent food service One of Portland’s best restaurants Reservations highly recommended Parking on street or private lots

Nine friends who had travelled to Peru in 2015 reunited in Portland for several days. Of course we had to eat at Andina! What a treat. Pisco Sours were perfect.exvellent service with a large choice of entrees that even this non-meat eater could love. Live soft guitar music too so that conversation was still possible. I highly recommend dining here.

Great food, service and attention to diners. Ate with friends who are restaurant folks and they all were impressed.

We loved the food and ambiance. It was nice to be able to share plates around the table. The service was excellent.

Returned after 6 years to excellent food. Nice beet salad followed by Gnoche (which happens to be Vegan) and Arroz con Marisco. Both had wonderful flavors not found elsewhere (spicy). The only disappointment is the non-use of the lower level which was a quiet elegant place. Upstairs is loud and filled with a boisterous young crowd. We'll return on our next trip to Portland but much earlier in the evening to avoid the noise.

The restaurant has excellent Peruvian cuisine and is very authentic. We ordered as appetizers ceviche and yuca frita which were very tasty. Main dishes were chicken and lamb, also were good. Dessert was a delicious and unique flan. Friendly staff. We really appreciate that we were asked to show our COVID vaccinations cards. We felt they really take care about those people who are consciously aware of the lethal virus.

The level bland, tasteless food, the amount of it & how everything, including the desert were crap. I mean, who even messes up a desert? The pionono was dry & just tasted of sugar. Rubbish. The mains, the chicken "with BBQ sauce" has bland by restaurant chicken standards, the gnocchi was pointless. The starters were insipid, plain & beige. When we complained we were given 2 $5 cookies (which weren't that bad), for a $200+ meal. The cocktails were good, but the terrible & hostile service knocks this down to a 1 star. There are so many amazing places for food in Portland, do not waste your money & time here. Overrated to the extreme.

Gentlemen, I have been going to Andina for many years and I have always enjoyed my dinners with you. Last night I brought out of town guests to your restaurant expecting to share this same wonderful experience with them. Instead, we were served unexceptional food, some of which were exceptionally bad, the gelato in particular. We pointed out this out to our server and the kitchen agreed that the gelato was bad and it was taken off our bill. Although I appreciated this gesture, it was not enough to erase the disappointment we felt. Maybe our bar was too high?

Good selection of Peruvian food and nice ambience. Happy to see some Good vegetarian options. Courteous staff . Good location .

We have been here several times now. Alone as a couple and with different groups of friends. Always a great time with great service and great, delicious food! I can't believe I haven't reviewed previously. If you haven't been, go!

This restaurant is one of Portland's gems. Unique and tasty food is prepared with great care and served beautifully. Happy Hour portions are just enough, and the diversity of offerings makes it an adventure. The cocktails are creative (try the one with passion fruit, pepper vodka and simple syrup) and well made. Make a reservation because the place is popular!

Sampled a variety of excellent dishes including beef (lomo saltado), crab stuffed avocado, halibut, paella with seafood, and beef empanadas. Also had a great Argentinian cabernet sauvignon. Our server was quite knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant had an excellent vibe with lots of satisfied diners! Will dine here again when in Portland.

on the expensive side for a midwesterner. but undeniably decadent despite being simple. not simple a bad way, time-old techniques executed perfectly. we had tamales with habanero sauce for appetizer, the stuff of dreams, i still think about them, i wanted more. we then shared a roasted game hen, with roasted potatoes with rice and a lemon drizzle. also excellent. desert options were not stunning, but the sorbet was also most certainly homemade, delicious, and a proper portion, on top of being simple, in parallel to the rest of the menu.

Twice last year I was able to attend a business dinner in their generous sized conference room with great customized menus.

I hadn't been to Andina for a long time, and the menu has changed since I was there. Having lived in Peru during my diplomatic service career I fell in love with Peruvian cuisine. Having Andina in the Pearl District is a wonderful thing for that true Peru taste in food and drink. Although a bit pricey the food is wonderful and very authentic. My wife and I each had the ceviche mixto as an appetizer. I had lomo saltado for an entree and she had the gnocchi as hers. We topped it off with the strawberry sorbet. Oh, I forgot the carpirinhas as our cocktail. It's not a place to go for cheap food, and a budget item is probably a good idea, but once there you will want to return as soon as the budget allows.

I had my hopes up. I decided to give Andina restaurant a third try. Unfortunately, it was not worth my time or money. I was born and raised surrounded by the delicious empanadas and the exotic taste of Pisco. It’s no doubt that South American food changes based on the country you tasted at. This case, it was the same restaurant Andina that once I tried in 2018, in this case, never tasted the same. Andina Restaurant has unfortunately reached the level of comfort that erases the reason they become popular in the first place. Quality !! Bitter pisco sour, food portion made for a toddler. Added to outrageous prices. The more I tried, the more disappointed I become. . This experience takes away all the sense of Peruvian culinary skills that can enchant you to come back one more time At this point, I am sad that I have given positive feedback before. Now, they don’t live for the challenge.., if Andina restaurant continues just getting money out of their customers, they will reach the end of the road as their well known Incas ancestors. Well, sadly without the glory..

Trendier restaurants come and go, but Andina remains one of my favorite places to eat in Portland. The food is fresh and fabulous.

Unfortunately every dish has a problem. The cauliflower "salad" had huge chunks of very undercooked cauliflower which was incredibly hard to eat.The fish-- steelhead was definitely "old" and very "fishy" and overcooked. The gnocchi were inedible with huge overcooked chunks one could not even cut with a sharp knife. The desserts were good-- brownies and cookies. The drinks were exceptional. I wish I had more positive things to say. I hate to write "bad" reviews but people also need honest feedback.

We loved this place. Great pisco sours, fun lively atmosphere. Not pretentious. Service was good, even with us having a two year old with us. I was worried it wouldn't be family friendly but it was totally fine! They have high chairs and coloring. It is somewhat loud which is good if you're worried about causing disturbance. They also had rice and beans available for our daughter to eat which was appreciated. Now for the food, I admit I wasn't super excited by the menu but made a reservation based on the highly rated reviews and ambiance. We loved it including my mom who had Peruvian food for the first time. Our favorite dishes were avocado with crab, purple potato, chicken skewers, and beef empanadas. We ordered entirely off small plates and shared everything.

I've eaten here twice; once for dinner and wine in the bar area and once for brunch in the main dining area. Both were excellent food.

This place was really good the first time we tried it about 15 years ago. Since they changed owners about 10 years ago it's kind of gone downhill since then. Don't get me wrong it's still a good restaurant and one of the better ones in Portland but, their quality control has really slipped and I can no longer justify paying their abusive prices for food that used to be good. Most of the items on my menu my wife makes anyway as she hails from Peru herself.

The food here was fabulous, and the ambiance was beautiful. The service was great and the drinks were perfect. I wish I could eat here every day because it’s that good!

Delicious food - mostly tapas (small dishes) - Great ambience with live music at times. Warm and friendly. Even has a quieter part of the restaurant for more intimate dinners

Our entrees were so over cooked my wife, celebrating her birthday, did not eat her dinner. The ribeye steak was supermarket quality not worth ordering and the lamb was old musty tasting not the gamy funk you want. I believe the restaurant was having a bad night in the kitchen, However they should own up to it for there customers. I will not dine here again and I don’t recommend you take the chance either.

Waited almost an hour for our one main course. We ordered the trout. Got steelhead. It was way overcooked. This place is way over rated. It was bad.

Always a solid “go to” restaurant. You can always count on good food, great service, and a wonderful wine selection.

Bustling lively atmosphere was surpassed only by the food. Had not been here since before covid sham, so glad it's still thriving.

I have been here three times, and has been consistent and amazing every time! It's a little bit on the expensive side, but they do a killer job. Service is great, the ambiance is lovely, and the food is delicious.

This restaurant went from one of our favorites, to a restaurant we don't even bother going into any more. Finally open after the start of covid-19, Andina appears to have gone even further downhill than before the pandemic. Take one look at the new menu and it is evident that they aren't even trying. All the tasty-looking items on the prayer reviews are no longer available and not even on the menu. I guess their outdoor patio restaurant that offers takeout is pretty good but, the indoor dining at the parent restaurant Andina just isn't worth the price tag.

The service was very good from start to finish. We loved the various dishes. The octopus, and various mains were exceptional. There was not a single dish that disappointed. The sommelier did a fabulous job recommending local wines. Overall, a great meal.

In town for a few days and was looking for gluten free options. This was an absolutely delicious dinner! Nathan was a great server and the food was wonderful. We enjoyed sharing multiple dishes.

Heard a lot about it and thought it was time to go. The environment and service was excellent! The food was good but not outstanding. Great appearance but the taste was lacking. The ones we enjoyed were the cebiche 5 elementos, coliflor a la brasa, and causa solterito (beautiful).

Cool atmosphere Peruvian restaurant! They check proof of vaccine at the door. Food comes out almost immediately. Mojito cocktail 5/5 Chicha Morado 5/5 non alcoholic Loma Saltado 5/5 Yuca Fritta 5/5 Beef heart skewers 5/5 (one piece per order) Lamb skewers 3/5 (a little dry) Causa de camorones 4/5 Cebiche 5 elementos 5/5 Great service, Food come out hot and fresh.

Wanted something different and this was it, great choice of meat selections prepared different ways. Highly recommend if you want to try something different. Only issue we found is that its very noisy and wouldnt recommend for a romantic dinner.

Sadly disappointed! Cocktail was fine but food dry and tough! We have a beef that was tough and sauce not great.. and a Halibut on rice that was Very poor.. Chicken looked dry (another guest ordered that) Desert of cookies I could have gotten better in Safeway.. This was our third trip and I do not think we will risk the $$$$ to go again.

One of my favourite places to enjoy a night out in Portland. It is nice to have a high end restaurant that dose gluten free. They take good care

Fantastic food, great service, and lively atmosphere. You will not regret making this one of your first stops in Portland restaurant scene.

Everything is amazing here ! Especially the oysters and cocktails . We have never been disappointed here.

Our preferred restuarant at Portland, been there few times, no disappointments! Will definitely come back and recommend to our friends!

Located in the Pearl District this is in a great spot, wonderful setting, lots of energy and great vibes. The food was superb as we tried two appetizers and shared a meal with cocktails. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent!

Our Uber driver recommended this restaurant as his favorite in Portland. We don't disagree!. Friends and I went to Andina for dinner, and the service and food were exceptional. The interior of the restaurant is lovely with wonderful ambiance. We all agreed that we would visit again. Be sure to call for reservations; the restaurant is very busy. Fortunately, we were not rushed through our meal by our charming waiter. The perfect place for a special occasion.

I have eaten at Andina twice and the food is interesting and reflects key aspects of Peruvian cuisine - but it's not memorable, especially in a foodie heaven like Portland. One really disappoints is there seems to be a number of different setting ib the restaurant - and the part we were in felt a little like Disney - sort of fake. We were also near a business group that was very loud. The service was excellent.

Food is excellent, though a bit on the pricy side. Seafood paella and the empanadas were especially good. Highlight is the amazing cocktails and the great service. Great place for a date night.

Amazing, inventive food. Every bite incredible. We had a larger group and sat at a fantastic round table in the bar area with live guitar playing. The service was fabulous!

I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor while on a business trip and decided to check it out. It was close to my hotel and the menu sounded interesting. I had never had Peruvian food and was excited to try it out. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night for dinner, but we got in after only 10 minutes. There were four of us and we tried 3 different dishes. I'm Paleo and was easily able to get a meal that fits my dietary needs. The food was delicious, and we all of us recommended the restaurant to our fellows in the training classes. I would highly recommend Andina!

Definitely need reservations and they will check your temp at the door. Great service, amazing food that is made to perfection! Children friendly and a very nice atmosphere inside.

Loved everything we ordered! The lamb recipe and empanadas were amazing and the “mother” of the restaurant came by to talk to us which was appreciated :)

Great food and service. Could not be more pleased. We all felt the warmth that accompanied the food. Each course was described clearly and the recommended wine matched well. Thanks for making our reunion even better.

Alicia was our terrific server. She even remembered it was my birthday. This was the first time we had Peruian food and it was a delight.

Really enjoyable atmosphere- staff was extra inviting and food was scrumptious. Definitely would recommend for dinner while in Portlanf

Highly recommended by a couple of Portland locals. Perhaps my expectations were too high for sublime food with a truly unique flavor? Our food was good and beautifully plated, however no flavors were amazingly unique.

Wow. So delicious. Could eat these empanadas everyday. Our entrees were also wonderful (and spicy). Limonada was wonderfully refreshing and puckerlicious!

It has been several years since we last dined at this Pearl District gem and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. Staff: top notch; friendly, attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. Wine list: varied and beautiful with a wide range of offerings at all price points. The sommelier was humble and spot on with his opinions and descriptions. We started with rose cava, followed by a 2018 Numanthia (just right!), and lastly a 20 year tawny port with dessert. We had 4 tapas, all were quite perfect, the duck ceviche being unique and exceptional. The dessert (Pot de crème chocolate) was also quite exceptional and so rich we brought most of it home. When we mentioned that some years past, we had met Doris, the owner and founder (now retired) we were delighted to be visited by Victor, her son, who carried on the tradition of familial like atmosphere that sets this establishment apart. Most surprising, however, was the email we received the next day thanking us for our patronage. To me, this is the epitome of class and business savvy. We will be back.
Best in Portland
Everything we ordered was delicious. In addition, the setting was comfortable and the people extremely nice. We arrived for a late dinner after a long day out of town, and the person who took my call was quite accommodating in making a reservation and assuring me they would be open when we got there. They also make great, very authentic Peruvian cocktails, the pisco sour "clasico" was my choice, and they are a great accompaniment to their hors d'oeuvres. It is, of course, rather noisy, as all restaurants seem to be these days, but it bothered us less here than in most places.
