Several family members had eaten here previously and recommended that we all try it together. We were there on a cold November evening and it was quite crowded. The enclosed patio area, however, had no one seated there, and with overhead heaters, we decided to give it a try. Menu is not very extensive, mostly salads, sandwiches and a few entrees including salmon and trout. Five dollar tapas offered good selections, especially the brussells sprouts. Four wine specials offered half price on the normally $30-35 bottles. Service was on the slow side, but all food arrived hot and well prepared. This is a very popular spot on a very busy street, but a large parking lot is available.

great atomsphere

Everything about the place is amazing. Great spot for a romantic dinner. The hummus and fruit salad is delicious. The ambiance is relaxing and quaint.

great ambiance

Amazing food! Great wine! Live Jazz was fantastic!

I came here with a good friend for dinner and had the seafood special. It had fish, scallops, shrimp, muscles, and squid in a fish stock. The taste was awesome, and I wanted to drink the broth. We started the meal with the hummus appetizer which was also very tasty. If you haven't been here you should defiantly put it on your list to check it out.

Perfectly pleasant, if overpriced. Very typical of ATL restaurants and nice enough after a movie. Nice wine selection.

We've been here several times and enjoyed them all. Why only four stars? Each time we go, one thing isn't quite right. The food is usually good, the prices are okay, and normally there's a buzz, but the surroundings are looking a bit jaded now and this time it was a bit dead there. Maybe just a bad day?

Delicious mediterranian.

The food here is good. You can sit outside. Good service. Reasonably priced. However, this has never become a go-to place unless I am in the area as I just can't quite get past the fact that I am eating in a strip mall.

It was such an amazing experience outdoor patio, very elegant, simple, casual, and business. This establishment have it all as far as what it offers. The restaurant's menu have plenty of options for all tastes including vegetarian options. Full bar with fantastic service, and a great selection of desserts. Location is great, right in the center of Atlanta, next to a great outlet with many option including a movie theatre. fantastic place to hang out, relax or have your business meeting. Many thx to heather which made the night perfect x

Cute spot, great service and delicious food! Me and my husband went there last weekend. this is our brunch place. I love the atmosphere, the patio is just perfect. 100% recommended.

Went for brunch. Took a while for waitress to take our order, about 10 minutes, but I think she was slammed. She did a fine job otherwise. The food came out quickly and was tasty, no complaint. The patio area is nice, no particular view of anything, but nice outdoor seating. I peaked indoors and it looked fine. My average review doesn't mean it isn't good, but so many restaurants around here are very solid, I'm trying to give fewer 4 stars.

This is my second time here and the experience was so much better than a few years ago. My friend and I decided to divide and conquer, so we ordered the fruit, Brie and veggie appetizer, portobello mushroom sandwich and a Niçoise salad. It was a ton of food and they separated the two plates without a fuss. Delicious and filling.

Went here for brunch before seeing a play at the Fox. Because we were dressed for watching a play in a cold theater we were overdressed to sit outside on their lovely patio. It was just too warm. The inside was dreary and felt like a tired pub with the dark paneling and sticky menus and tables. My husband’s breakfast burrito was delicious. I had the French toast which was meh. A little over cooked and dry. I had a cappuccino and frankly wished I had had drip coffee like my husband’s which was dark and yummy. Kinda bummed that our special preshow brunch was just so so.

love this place for late night hanging out. comfortable, cozy, with yummy food and wine.

I really enjoy this spot, its a great hip, young, trendy, place to gather with friends after work. Its great during spring and summer, to sit out and just have a nice big cup of coffee, food is really superb and you feel like you are in another part of atlanta. I give two thumbs up.

Midtown Location - More like a "bar scene" than a dining scene. Chicken sandwich was dry. Side salad has limited choices of dressing: balsamic vinaigrette or caesar. Tuna was nicely done. The cappuccino would have made the Capuchin friars turn over in their graves. Should have returned it but was running late. Server was very good and appropriately attentive. Fine if you looking for quick meal before a movie.

The service was nice, the food was o.k. This place had a nice, neighborhood feel, a good selection, good desserts. I'm not sure I'd go back given all the other great options in the area, but it wasn't bad.

i went here several times with my friend i was visiting in atlanta. this is her local, go-to restaurant. it's in midtown, which is a fun area with a lot of good restaurants. i went during midtown restaurant week, which was fun since we're foodies. service was good, but food took forever, but they were SLAMMED that nite -- food still came out hot. i had the tomato montrachet, which was INCREDIBLE, and the mussels, which are promoted as spicy and they are, but i thought perfect flavor. the next nite we went back and sat at the bar and the server/bartender Janna apologized profusely for the service the previous nite (she remembered us!) and comped our drinks at the bar. the bartenders are super fun and the music was retro, loud and great!!

I rediscovered Apres Diem during Covid, because of their large, lovely patio! I had been years ago and it became my "home away from home" for outdoor dining during the pandemic. The patio has heaters in winter and umbrellas (and a covered section) in the summer. The service is always great. They have a nice wine selection (and a full bar, although I'm a wine drinker). The food is consistently good. Just one of my favorite neighborhood go-to spots intown Atlanta.

Good cheese plate.

Apres Diem is a small restaurant located in a mini mall next to Trader Joe's & is a great place to finish up or begin if you are going to the movie theater next door. Their menu is very innovative-from eggs to scallops & covers all the bases for what you are looking for. We had the Huevos Espanola (Spanish omelet) with chorizo, the scallops & shrimp with the creamiest grits EVER & a chicken sandwich on focaccia. A lot of the menu items are Spanish or Mediterranean oriented. All were in plentiful portions & excellently prepared. Delicious!!! There is a bar inside also, with a type of patio seating available. It's very nice & cozy & relaxing & would be a great place to spend a wet afternoon. There is live music on certain days. Our server, Ali, did a great job & didn't make us feel rushed at all, even though they were very busy. She had a great sense of humor & was very friendly & attentive. There is plenty of parking since it's in a mini-mall.

good spot for friends

Very dark inside and not always the best service. Good for desert after a movie though. I'd take the patio for Sunday brunch. The humus is also quite good.

This place is great for hangin on the atio for a glass of wine or an elegant dinner. Food is always great.

We were searching for a spot for an afternoon snack and with the help of Foursquare found Apres Diem. We were thinking Intermezzo, but that would have been too difficult with parking and motivating a wheelchair. Glad we hit on Apres Diem, it was perfect for what we wanted. Lovely patio and the place is tucked away in a group of shops and restaurants, so I think you would have to be looking for it. Had the brie and baguette. Yummy melted cheese with a nice baguette and some grapes. Then we had the croque monsieur which was made with marinated pork - obviously not the traditional croque, but it turned out to be a great variation. The desserts were wonderful. Chocolate mousse with raspberry pie and a hazelnut torte made with Nutella which was a little crunchy and delicious. Have to say the service left lots to be desired. Slow, impersonal, inattentive. We spilled a glass of champagne, and she never bothered to clean it up. So, I would absolutely go back there again and just hope I didn't get the same server.

My colleague and I go to Apres Diem for the first time. Our lunch is very tasty, and we'll return. I would rate the restaurant excellent if the dessert is fresh.

This was one of my all time favorite casual restaurants. I could always rely on Apres Diem's delicious food and drinks for lunch dates, after concert bites, and just to chill solo. However, last week on a Tuesday at 5:30p I was terribly disappointed. The fried calamari was greasy and cold, and the mediterranean platter was bland (celery sticks and carrots--really?!). Worst, they didn't have the ingredients for a mojito. My friend's Greek Salad has lots of romaine lettuce and not much else. I'll give them another try, I'd hate to throw in the towel after one bad meal when I've experienced several years of outstanding meals and drinks. Any restaurant can have a bad night...I hope that's all it was.

This was not my first visit. I really enjoyed myself and food the first time. This time however, my service was crappy. I really wish I had gotten the waiters name, but he was horrible. He acted like he did not want to serve us. It took him forever to bring us water. When he finally did, all 3 glasses were dirty and the bottoms of the glass had what looked like grits floating around in them. clearly he got the glasses out of the dish sink and just filled them and brought them to us. We ordered cake since it was already done. I had the cuatro leche and it was very good! Had we not already ordered the cake, we would have left. I will not go back to this place again because of the way we were treated and how poor the service was. I did not tell the manager because I had already made up my mind not to be a patron to this restaurant.

Great vibe here on the weekends - good for a drink.

Going here a lot lately since the Highlander staff doesn't seem to care anymore. Food and service has been outstanding. Highly recommend any of the pasta dishes. The servers are very attentive.

Went here on a Thursday night just to hang out. The mussels are dee-lish! I would go again. I know my friend ordered more food, I just don't remember what else I had because the mussels really did it for me. Our server was not attentive AT ALL. Not sure if she was new or what, but we had to seek after her more than once to get service during the meal. Overall, atmosphere was nice and we had a good enough time for me to return...and try not to sit in her section again.

We enjoyed the menu choices and appetizers. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The fried calamari and Tuna Nicosia salad were adequate. The restaurant offered French group sessions were people spoke French amongst each other which I thought was unique and fun. We didn't partake in the event, however enjoyed our time in the bar area having our entrées.

My partner and I ate here for the first time last night. Upon arrival, we were pleased with the atmosphere and crowd. I was sooo expecting nothing but good things to come. Didn't happen. The server was not very attentive, but the table behind us must have been full, of celebrities or his family because he spent a good amount of time schmoozing with them. He gets one star. I ordered a mango martini. I love mangos. I love martinis. I did not love this drink. It tasted like canned pineapple juice and some sort of vodka. No stars. The food. It's really not worth mentioning. I had the salmon sandwich with sun dried tomato mayo. Sigh. Like I said, not really worth mentioning. My partner ordered the Kobe beef hamburger. It was ok. She asked the server for a side of mayo and about three minutes later...voila...mayo. But that's not all. While holding the mayo, the server proceeds to scratch his head and then does something on the register. Welllll, she didn't use the mayo. Food gets one star cuz the fries were hot. Because of all the good reviews, the location, and the atmosphere, I will give Après one more shot to get it right. I'm rooting for them.

Great European coffeehouse vibe, gorgeous waitstaff, cool music.

I had the Waffles with Strawberries and Bananas. It had a side order of Scrambled Eggs and Bacon. All were hot and made well. My daughter had the Crab Cakes Benedict. She enjoyed them with Potatoes. Again, they were cooked well. The place was busy and the service very good. You could eat outside if you wanted and since it was a nice day, many took advantage of the sunshine.

Nice romantic atmosphere, not so great for big groups unless you can get a patio spot in the summer

Came here for a late-evening supper with a friend. The Salade Nicoise was terrific and the wine was good and generous. (I hate those short pours...) Service was genial and attentive. You can order a light meal and not feel any pressure. A lively place I would be happy to visit again when I am in town.

The restaurant met our expectations in every way. The service is attentive and friendly. The menu offered was of good quality, preparation and flavors. Adequate wine selection which is reasonably priced.

Am never surprised when I go here. The food is always good and the service excellent. The ambiance is off the chain and the wait is minimal even on weekend nights. The only criticism I have is parking, its always a challenge. It is a busy area but I just ride til I find a spot, I like the restaurant that much. Whenever I'm in the area I end up here though there are lots of choices. Last order was the portabello, roasted pepper and feta sandwich, excellent as always.

Great after-hours dinner and/or drinks and desert.

I have been going to Apres Diem even before it was called Apres Diem, in fact, before they moved to their current location, they were called Café Diem. It all come to the basics, a restaurant owner who gives it all to his restaurant, Andy will always be there, running around, checking that everything is good, greeting to people and making new friends on the way. If you are a local, you know this is a must go place, you will always find someone you know, this is why we always say "don't take a date there" :). Food is very good, I have had everything on their menu, and my favorite is always the mussels, with a nice glass of house wine, that is priced just right. This is a restaurant you can go anytime of the day, any day of the week, simple, modern, with an ethnic touch given by the people that work there and most important the guests of the restaurant. Music plays all the time, and always good beats for anyone. You see children, young people, older people, from any walks of life. Somehow at Apres Diem, you will always feel like home, I know I do.

Great location across from Peidmont. There were average food choices and drinks. The food was not memorable. Atmosphere is very nice. Good patio for a nice day. They do let you hang out for a while and you donot feel rushed.

Average food for the price Decent Service Great atmosphere!

We went to hear the jazz, which was great; probably 8 to 10 different musicians revolved in to play a variety of jazz, all very well done and lively. We also had dinner there, and it was great. Our waitress was friendly and shared her Atlanta knowledge with these first-time visitors. My husband had an awesome short rib dinner with authentic French garlic “frites” and I had a gyro that was delicious and came with a generous tossed salad with a unique dressing. They make good martinis too! Reasonable prices and a well-spent evening.

Great after a movie or just during good weather.. cozy inside during bad weather..good bistro wines.

My family and I simply Love Apres Diem, the food is fantastic, very rich with bold flavors, eemember to get the Tomato Montreche as an appetizer, its out of the world, along with the Beef tenderloin as an Entrée. The atmosphere is very casual the wait staff is really down to earth and very friendly. No reservation needed but helpful on Friday nights as this is a very popular place to meet and hang out especially at the bar

My friend and I have been coming here at least twice a month for the last four months and the only reason we tolerate the awful service is because the food is so good. I have timed it the last three visits and they have taken over five minutes all three times to just come to the table for the first time and bring water. They have plenty of servers but they always seem to be hanging out behind the servers counter talking and even just eating food while they watch you waiting for them. In spite of the abysmal service, the food is what keeps us coming back - but this last time it was so awful that I felt compelled to leave a poor review and I don’t think we will be back anytime soon. Once you are finally able to place an order, the food comes out fairly fast and it’s always delicious - but good luck getting a refill on your drinks.

Long time favourite of young & old alike, for a bit of European eclectic, off beat atmosphere, great for a casual or romantic date, yet perfect for a gathering of friends too. Located next to the Midtown Arts Cinema they serve up light fare, soups, salads, entrees and desserts with music like jazz in the background, live, or recorded. Separate bar area, private event room, & one of the More popular outdoor patios compliments their indoor seating. Food is generally very good to excellent, and the desserts are one of the few areas that can WOW at their best or disappoint if not fresh (so I always ask,) because the WOW is worth it. Generally friendly service. Full bar service, nice wine selection to go with a pate or brie & baguette/seasonal fruits or veggies appetizer. Upfront parking is limited but a large lot available to the side at the end of the plaza.

I used to eat here regularly as part of my visit to the area for Midtown Art Cinema. I returned today after 3-4 years away and it was ok, but not great. ABSOLUTELY, I will return again for the pate. It is hands down the best pate and fixins I have ever had. The chicken and rice soup was fair and had no flavor at all. On just the pate I would rate the restaurant as a 5, but cannot overlook today's horrible service. Two of us were seated at 5PM. It took about 20 minutes before I could get the order placed. It came back quickly, but when it came time to leave we all but had to stand on the table to get a check. The restaurant was well staffed but it did not appear that anyone was in charge, and none of the four waitstaff noticed we were trying to get someone (anyone!) to let us pay and leave. There were 4 people serving the main dining area and about half of the tables were occupied.

A party of six, we arrived at the restaurant around 4 p.m. on New Year's day. For most of us, this was our first time at Apres Diem. They quickly helped us pull three tables together so that we could all sit together, in a corner area, out of the way of the rest of the restaurant. Karen, our server was great. She came to take the drink orders quickly, answered questions, and proceeded to bring the drinks right away. She also kept the refills coming without having to be flagged down - a real plus in my opinion. We didn't have to wait too long on the food to arrive. Karen placed each person's food at the right place without us having to tell her whose was whose and all the orders were right, which was great because several of us asked for substitutions or things to be left off - again another big plus. My first selection was the pork loin sandwich, which she immediately told me that they had just sold the last one. So, I ordered the salmon sandwich, which was quite tasty. Others ordered salads, burgers, and other sandwiches, all of which were very good, as were the piping hot fries. Most of us had separate checks, which wasn't a problem for Karen either. She prepared all of them properly, without any having to be sent back for errors. She did all this while being friendly and helpful without hovering or trying to be our NBF and waiting on quite a few other tables at the same time. Dining out with a group can be a real hassle, but it is such a pleasure when the kitchen and wait staff get it right!

We ate here during Midtown restaurant week because they had a lot of choices on the menu. We enjoyed the lobster crostini and baked salmon. The spicy mussels are really spicy, but you can order them without the spice. Our server didn't get that right, and we had to send them back to be redone. That was only one of the problems with the service -- it was inattentive and slow and uninformed. I hope this place can get it together because there were a number of things we liked.

The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. Great place to eat at before going to the theater near by or Sunday brunch.

We discovered this little bistro by accident, after going to a movie at the Landmark Art Cinema in Midtown. Both the theater and the restaurant are kind of hidden in the back of a very busy plaza on Monroe Drive (behind Trader Joe's). We noticed the large patio filled with happy diners, and decided to give it a try. It was lovely! We ate indoors because of heat and humidity, and it was also charming. They have a large and lively bar, and the decor is unpretentious but funky - have never been to Paris, but it looks like it would fit right in. I enjoyed a refreshing watermelon/tomato gazpacho and delicious salad, and my husband loved his flounder sandwich on ciabatta. The dessert case looked great - will try next time!

Decent food, good atmosphere, but I havn't eaten dinner there so...

We love going to Apres Diem for a pre-show drink or an afternoon nosh. The eclectic atmosphere and drink/food selections make us remember our time in Paris. As with any cafe, you take the service as it comes, and let the server know if you're in a hurry (though you shouldn't be). The location's great - sit outside on fair weather days and pretend you're in the City of Light.

I love Apres Diem. They have really good desserts. We always eat here when visiting Landmark Theatre. We ordered the Roast Beef Sandwich and Brie & Bread plate. Everything was delicious.

You want to hang out a lounge and drink wine and meet new people - Apres Diem is the place. It has a outside and inside restaurant experience and a room with sofas and painting of nude women. The only thing I hate about this place is the smokers who can't help smoking in the room. But it has dim lighting and great paintings.

My husband and I went there twice. First time for coffee and the second time for dinner. Food was great and so the desert The only problem is we waited so long tell our plates served

A small cafe style eatery with patio seating. Excellent sandwiches and salads. The Salmon ciabatta and the Gyro we had were excellent. Service can be spotty. The place is hidden in a corner of an outdoor shopping center. The signage is not visible from the street and easy to miss if you are not a local. Even with my GPS I could not locate it until my local friends showed up.

On a weekday late afternoon / early evening, this is a great spot for a few drinks and some shared appetizers. The food was really very good.

Adjacent to the midtown cinema. Great place to enjoy meal before or after movie. Or just go for nice dinner or lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating. Full bar.

I'm an Apres Diem who%e! When my friends and i can't decide where we want to meet for business or pleasure, this is always my go-to spot! APRES DIEM HAVE NEVER LET ME DOWN! My favorite cocktail is the concord grape martini partnered with the salmon farfalle minus salmon plus chicken! I frequent alone grabbing a seat at the bar and just viiiiibbbbe in the ridiculous intoxicating contagious atmosphere. Dj always on deck in the evenings to catapult me into the next stratosphere. Lounge area is super sexy and gives you a feeling of exclusivity when they simply treat us all the same. Superior bartenders! Great waitstaff and mgmt. I hosted my company's launch party here and zero, nada, not one single complaint from me or my guests!

What iS better than Shrimp and Grits, Shrimp Sea Scallops and Grits at the Apres Diem Brunch Menu. Under an Umbrella with a cold Stella and good friends, this is a great place to hang out and enjoy the afternoon. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Have been to this and its sister cafe at the northern perimeter many times. Apres always shines in comparison to Carpe with respect to service and food (Carpe is really, in my mind, a good for coffee and dessert only.) Took my young daughter to Apres early one Friday evening. All interior tables were already taken so we were seated in the quasi-exterior "patio" area with overhead heaters. We were very close to the front door so the heater was turned up so high that it was oppressive. The silverware became hot just being on the table. We ordered a couple of simple items that it's difficult to mess up. Or so I thought. Shared a calamari appetizer which was quite obviously OLD calamari (back of the freezer?) in the thickest coating/fried in old oil. I felt SICK eating it. The red sauce served with it had a bit of a kick as well (fra diavalo) and I was expecting a marinara sauce (although it's possible I didn't read the menu correctly.) Then, my daughter ordered the tortellini and I had a caesar salad. Since I was fearful about the red sauce served on the tortellini for my 7-year old being too spicy (as she doesn't like spice - and if it was the same as served on the calamari, she would never have eaten it) and because the waiter advised they could not provide a tasting of the sauce (why not? because they were preparing the sauce for each dish? DOUBTFUL), we asked for the tortellini to be in butter and parmesan. This is not a lot to ask for. The tortellini came laden in butter only - but bland butter of some sort. No cheese at all. It took requesting parmesan cheese from our waiter and another waitress to get some to the table which we then put on the dish but there was no recovering. Even before the cheese, it didn't even smell right. My caesar salad was tasteless. No hint of anchovy, little of garlic and void of salt/pepper. The service was OK (although I took exception to the very very long dark-haired waitress with glasses whose hair was all over the place. In a restaurant, servers should be wearing their hair back/up.) Special standout was the tall hostess who really did her best to accommodate varying parties. The whole experience was so disappointing. Clearly, those inside having a glass of wine were happy. Next time, we'll go to the new tapas place across the courtyard.

First of all, this restaurant is located in a strip mall, which made me a bit apprehensive at first. But once inside, it had a really great, classy atmosphere. We came for dinner, but this is also a good place to just have drinks, appetizers or dessert. For a Saturday evening, I was surprised that we were able to be seated right away on their patio, as they seemed pretty busy. The food was great, and despite being busy, the service was really attentive as well.

Generally, you have to wait for a table. To past the time, you can watch the crowd of the young, urban, and beautiful patrons. The first thing I noticed was the contrast between the sexiness of the environment and the fact it is located in a generic looking shopping center. The surroundings do not complement it. The offer a broad variety of food options, desserts, coffee, and alcohol. Would be a great place for a date, but it is too loud.

Rarely can you find much more than a mediocre restaurant or chain restaurant near enough to your choice of movie theater to squeeze in a decent dinner before an early show. While we knew of several so-so places near our favorite Landmark Midtown theater, we had never paid much attention to Apres Diem. There was a good crowd there, so we suspected it was worth a shot and we were extremely pleased. The food was very good, outdoor patio pleasant, prices very reasonable and a very attentive staff with lots of "hustle" (i guess they are accustomed to folks not wanting a leisurely dinner before the movie. The quality of the meal and overall experience ranks a 4 star rating, but I'd almost add another star because of location next to the theater. I think we've found our standard spot for a dinner & a movie date!

Good, cheap, but in a strip mall. Made me hate Atlanta when I first moved here.

great place to take a lady friend for the first date or just as friends and get good food and drinks

We tried the veggie sandwich and the portebello sandwich. One with fries and one with a salad, which were both very ample portions. We had draft beers with it. Service was quite good. Our waiter was courteous. Made for a very pleasant dinner.

My partner and I go every year for our anniversary! Parking can be difficult at times, but it's worth it...AMAZING!

This is an urban eatery which offers good food and a nice patio. The menu is eclectic with a Mediterranean flare. The service is a bit haphazard and slow at first then rushed once they make it to the self serve tables.

Fun place and one that I visit quite often with friends on the weekends. The mussels here are the best. Parking can be difficult on the weekends with the movie theater and other shops so close.

Many locals love Apres Diem, especially prior or after a movie at the Landmark Cinema (which is one of the best in Atlanta). They have a great selection Sandwiches and Pastas and much more. Very reasonable with inside or outside seating. I have been many times, and never left disappointed.

Just late brunch on a Sunday - we arrived at about 2 pm but had to wait for over a half hour for our meals (relatively simple egg based breakfast foods and a sandwich) The lobster scrambled egg had great potential, but I couldn't taste the lobster, but the pieces were visible. The crab cakes were more binder than crab. The turkey sandwich was a full portion. The side salad was a nice arugula mix. Lots of drink choices from a full bar. The inside was loud and vibrant. The outside was quieter but on a hot Sunday noon, a nice mister would have been nice.

This restaurant has a lovely week-end lunch/brunch menu. Portions are generous and the food is good. There are vegetarian options, too. Good egg and omelet selection (served until 3 p.m.) and sandwiches well prepared with flavorful mayo to spice them up a bit. Outside seating is available. The location is in a strip mall so you really don't go for the ambience.

The restaurant is excellent for brunch. We took outdoor seating as it was a nice sunny day . The servers are really friendly . Excellent service. The owner himself takes care of the guests. the place was buzzing with people at 2 pm on a sunday afternoon. The food was really nice worth the price !!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I was visiting and my friend suggested we eat here because they have a live jazz band in the evening. Everything we ordered was delicious, salads, crab cakes, drinks! All delicious. The service was great and came with a smile. The jazz band was on the money! I'm so happy she chose this place.

Great hang out for late night coffee, drinks and snacks

Went here while traveling on business and looking for a good place to grab a bite in midtown. I wasn't sure quite what to expect and came away very impressed. When I heard it was tucked back in a strip mall, my expectations were low and again exceeded. The patio was a great spot to catch sunset on a nice spring evening. We started with different apps and tapas. The toasted goat cheese was probably my favorite, while the cold plate (cheese and meats) was nice as well. I had lamb as my entree and was impressed - which is no easy feet for a Mediterranean such as myself. The bill was definitely reasonable - a great value for the quality of food that we ate. Very impressed, would definitely return again.

Very laid back place

I have dined several times at Apres Diem and it's the perfect place to go for drinks, a late night dessert, or a relaxed dinner date. In the Summer they have a wonderful outdoor seating area as well as a living room atmosphere in the back. They almost always have a dj spinning tunes in the evening while still being able to talk to your date. They are famous for their mussels; although, you will not see it on the menu. Simply ask for them....they always have them. I also love all of their fish entrees and avocado split. It isn't upscale but a great place to go for a nice dinner with friends, family, or significant other. They also showcase a lot of local art and the staff couldn't be more friendly and accomodating!

I'd never been to this restaurant and had a little trouble finding it-it's tucked clear in the back of the shopping center behind Trader Joe's and near a movie theater. It was a delight place to sit out on the patio and enjoy a glass of wine with a friend on a summer evening. The wine was delightful and his salad looked quite generous. We spent the 3-4 hours sipping wine and chatting. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. The restaurant was fairly busy but there seemed to be enough seating and no one suggested that we leave.

Nice place to go and meet friends for an eclectic French menu and desserts. Nice wine selection, French food, mussels,etc.. Desserts are great . The outdoor patio is always a nice place to hang out Ad relax....fans in summer and heated in winter. The location is directly in front of a movie complex so it is very busy and nice people watching! This is the place to go for a nice coffee and dessert or French meal...service is slightly hindered and chaotic....so if you are in a hurry ...this is not your kinda place.

I came here for a professional lunch meeting and it was a good fit. My meeting was more informal in nature so I wasn't looking for anything too "uppity". The restaurant was fairly open at 12:30 and we seated ourselves. The staff was decent. I ended up with their fish of the day sandwich which was pan seared flounder on ciabbata bread. I got the house salad as a side. It was a good portion and was pleasantly filling. If you're looking for a casual lunch spot in midtown, this was a good pick. Prices are also decent. They have a fair amount of outside seating as well if you prefer to dine al fresco and the weather is on your side.

we need more places like apres diem in Atlanta

We had all intentions of stopping at another restaurant for brunch but it had a 20 minute wait. My friend suggested this place and we weren't disappointed! I had an egg omelet and a bloody mary - perfect! One member of the party had eggs benedict with crab cakes and that was a winner as well. I think I'll get that next time. My spouse had a Mexican egg dish and she really liked that as well. It's an easy to like place and we're definitely going back.

First of all, I love the atmosphere of the place. Day or night, its relaxing and really chic. I love their sandwiches! The salmon is cooked to perfection and the portabello sandwich is filling. Their desserts and pasteries are made fresh and they have different ones everytime I have been. Overall great menu and very reasonably priced, and ofcourse location is a plus (close to piedmont park)

This restaurant is always such a disappointment that I rarely go back. A friend talked me into it yesterday and, once again, I left disappointed. Some servers treat you with open and frank disdain - not all! Unfortunately, the server who was pleasant with me wasn't my server. :-). My server couldn't even (wouldn't?) keep my water glass filled!! Food is ok at best. Over-seasoned, overly complicated, too greasy - I'll stop with this. I had the daily pasta. Sounded great on paper but just wasn't prepared well. My buddy had a burger and fries. He seemed fine with it. If u want a place where you can easily get a table and it's not expensive, it's a good option.

recently went here with a friend and it was so crowded but got seated right away. it was tucked in hidden in a shopping center and I had never seen it before! It is such a cute little place for a date night or after dinner dessert. The prices are very reasonable! My drink of choice, prosecco, and only $6 ! The eclairs are amazing and large enough to share with 2 or 3 people. Will definitely be going back especially during the summer!

Visiting my old uni friend he told me to have lunch here as it's not your typical American lunch place, in fact he told me the owner is French. The place is based in older type of strip mall area and it looks rather old. But let the looks not fool you, because the food served is of very good quality. I enjoyed a Lamb Gyro sandwich with Feta added and a salad as a side, it was all amazing. My friend had a Ceasar Salad with chicken, the salad also looked great (not flooded with fatty Ceasar dressing, all dosed in the right way). The place was busy also, which usually is a good indication that quality is being served. If you are looking for a good lunch or dinner (not sure if they serve breakfast) just go here!

I was greeted sincerely and the patrons were the most diverse I experienced in memory. The meal was perfectly prepared, presentation made it appetizing and service was adequate. The mix of PA music was awesome. . . seemed like something for everyone. Atmosphere was quiet and comfortable and encouraged interaction with other patrons if the feeling arose.

I ordered the Salmon Chiabatta sandwich ($13) and the portion of fish was meager and of average quality. It wasn't terrible, out was just worth about half of what I paid for it. I wouldn't eat here again.

Great place to grab nice sandwich or a salad, or a good cup of coffee. Also next to a Midtown Art Cinema if you want to catch a nice foreign movie

This is a bit out of the way in midtown with plenty of parking in a small small. Plenty of seating areas outside and in to choose from - you seat yourself. It was quiet on a Saturday lunchtime so service was quick and efficient. some interesting brunch cocktails to try. Had the crab cake benedict - the eggs were perfectly poached and everything was tasty. My only issue was the potatoes and onions which came with them were luke warm. If in the area again its a good choice with a small but varied menu. It also came with a small bowl of fresh fruit which was nice.

We always enjoy our visit. The menu has something for everyone, and the prices are reasonable. This last time we had the tiramisu, and my goodness, we should have taken a slice to go. It is absolutely delicious. Likely one of our favorites yet.

They have a great Salsa night on the first Tuesday of the month and the food is inexpensive and always good.

I honestly do not know why so many people like this place. I found the food to be bad, the service incredibly rude, the seating cramped, the décor tacky, the wine list subpar and the clientele questionable. Pick elsewhere if you want to have a nice enjoyable evening.

Great late night cafe, good music

I loved eating here when I lived in Atlanta. The food is always good (wish they had some more options for vegetarians) The server we had was friendly but a little slow and not too attentive. I love the atmosphere!

Enough saying that my husband and I eat here at least, twice a week. We love the atmosphere and diversity (people from all over the world), the food, the service and the patio!!

I have been here several times and the location and ambiance are so neat. All of their sandwiches and salads are excellent. Their fries are good, but they a large amount of garlic on them, so be prepared. The dessert selection is great. The bar is a nice bar and a great place to hang and people watch. I would recommend this for a date place or small group on a weekend evening.

cheese plate is the best thing on the menu, wine selection is good, try a Reisling with the cheese platter.

I sometimes find it hard to rate restaurants on a single scale. This restaurant is fine and the service was very good and attentive. I don't give it a 4 or 5 because there are much better restaurants but those restaurants are much more expensive. I had grilled tuna that tasted very fresh and was perfectly cooked. One great thing was we went on Monday and it was 1/2 price night for bottles of wine. Hadn't planned on wine but I couldn't resist a deal like that. Will go again on another Monday.

Great place to meet up with friends for drinks. Can't comment on too many menu choices because I can't get past the mussels! If you're a shellfish lover, this will quickly become your favorite. You'll need extra bread - can't let that delicious broth go to waste!

I love this place because you never risk having to deal with tourists while enjoying a healthy meal. It is tucked away, so you don't go there on accident. The salads are always very fresh - the Greek in particular. There are a variety of healthy & lite options to enjoy, and plenty of patio seating. The wine list offers varietals that most places to not, so if you are a little geeky about wine, this place is a great option. Our server was Viktor, he was very polite.

Food here is good, it has a great patio for sitting outside and having a drink on a sunny day. Good food, the inside dining area is small. Come here when you want to sit outside. Outside area is covered.

parking can be a bit difficult. nice place for after dinner drinks. dessert is yummy. great ambience.

This place far exceeded our expectations. The salmon farfalle was especially good, freshly cooked, pasta just right and lots of salmon! The outside patio has fans so comfortable enough in the evening, interesting wine selection, altogether feels like a continental location. My husband really enjoyed the dessert selection too. We'll be back!

Great little cafe -- good food and atmosphere. However, the spotty service can quickly ruin your evening. Go with patience!

always loved this place, but the food has gone downhill and the prices uphill. go here if you want to feel ugly.

The wannabe Cafe Intermezzo. Food is ok

A friend and I visited here recently and were a bit disappointed. We had recommendations from friends and had checked out the reviews and thought we would give it a try. The food wasn't what we expected. The pasta sauce tasted like canned sauce and the tuna melt was a bit bland. This is the only visit for us.

Do not believe the 4.4/5 reviews! There is one 2** review, believe it!! This was a HUGE disappointment. No ambience, dirty sticky tables, just grubby. Absolutely terrible service, Chl.. was our server, she could not have been more indifferent and unfriendly. No pleasantries or the great Georgia hospitality we keep hearing about. The menu has many options, we had the rigatoni and Salad Nicoise. The nicoise was oily, mainly lettuce and peppers, very dry tuna and had 3 olives and stale anchovies. For a “bistro” they haven’t a clue about what a Nicoise should be. Just disgusting. Oh and our server could not have cared less when she asked how dinner was… we were clear it was unsatisfactory. We didn’t make a fuss but maybe we should have. The rigatoni was frankly glorified Chef Boyardee and equally unexciting. Not even a sprinkle of parsley to “ liven” it up. Horrible. The table water that was served was stale, warm and tasted mouldy. Swamp water comes to mind. Wine was equally underwhelming. This whole restaurant experience is probably one of the worst misrepresentations of reviews. Be warned

My friends and I wanted to find a good place for drinks after dinner as I was visiting Atlanta from out of town this past weekend. We did not get to try the food at Apres Diem, but I very much enjoyed the ease of being seated, and the very relaxed and intimate atmosphere. I also enjoyed how it was hidden away, and a place I'd never been to or even heard of in my years living in Atlanta. Our server was very helpful and I unfortunately cannot recall his name. The moscato was very good as well. I would definitely recommend this as a great date location or even just a late night visit with friends.

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here early in the week. This is a quaint little restaurant located in the midtown area of Atlanta. It is in a little mall as you have read, but it's location does not interfere in any way with the quality of the food served. The food was delicious, and in my opinion, you get a great deal for your money. My turkey burger (excellent by the way) came not only with fries but also a tasty side salad. The only thing I did not like about my experience was that my friend and I had to ask for a straw with our drinks. This may seem like a small thing to many, but you should never have to ask for a straw.

This restaurant is our usual stop after a movie. The atmosphere is fun and the food is always very good. The menu isn't fancy but we have always enjoyed what we order. The choices range from appetizers, tapas, sandwiches to entrees. The bar offers some interesting cocktails and the beer and wine selection is just right. I must point out ...I have always had wonderful service hear. The staff is friendly and add to a very nice time. All and all my husband and I have never been disappointed when eating here and have always had an enjoyable experience.

On a beautiful day this is a perfect spot to stop after a movie. We ate on the patio. It's peaceful & relaxing. Furniture is comfortable. Ample shade provided by grossly oversized umbrellas. Music from other establishments wafts through. Decor & seating is pleasant. Tables are nicely spaced, avoiding eavesdropping & difficulty moving about. Varied aged patrons. Star gazing optional 😄. Food was absolutely delicious. Very well seasoned. Thoughtful presentation was 1 rung up, as gyro was half wrapped in paper eliminating spillage, dry cleaning & dating embarrassment. Menu is varied. Seat yourself. Someone came as soon as we sat down. Our Russian waitress was able to communicate effectively. Her adjectives and adverbs used did NOT match chef's execution. Which facilitated a huge culinary surprise. Would return in a heartbeat.

All my friends told me how good this place was , so I decided to have dinner at the bar one evening. I ordered the fish which came dried and burned. When I told the waitress. “ Can you wrap it up for the dog, it’s inedible. “ She didn’t get the hint to bring me something else. I don’t have anything against her. Young, hip , cool, likes bad wine. I met some like minded people from the neighborhood. So, it’s a nice neighborhood bar to go to with bad food and worse wine list.

This too USED TO BE one of the restaurants I enjoyed going to and would tell friends about, but now I'm done with Apres Diem after 10 + years going there and the Management still using some tactics which are not customer friendly. I took a colleague to dinner for her birthday Dec 10. Same drill as always, the waitress asks you if you can pay before you get your dessert even, so that she can check out from shift, then is still there over an hour later. Feel it is a push to get you to leave. If that were a one time thing, fine, but it has happened a few times in the past also and my friend had minded it back when it happened before and I overlooked it. But, then the Manager asks us to move to another table, before we are done and ready to leave. we didn't even know what to say, and after a few seconds, she says "Oh, that must be a NO! " and stomped off. She wanted to move 2 tables together, supposedly, but there were two free tables (4 person tables) and one two person table free right around us. I ordered rigatoni with sauce on side, friend the gyro. Since they don't do sauce on the side, per the waitress, I ordered the gyro instead. When the tab came, the rigatoni and 2 gyros were on bill. Ok, that happens, but I have never in all my years of eating out anywhere in U.S. , Canada or Europe had the waitress ask me to close out and pay before we are done EXCEPT at Apres Diem, on several different occasions. And I have also never been asked to move from my table when having a meal. So they made a mistake on the bill , fine. So they can't do sauce on the side. Really? But who asks you to pay so they can leave shift and who asks you to move from your dining table? I left the waitress a 20% tip as I always do. But I won't be doing that anymore since I will no longer give them my business. Beware. They want you to eat and move on ! The desserts aren't great anyway....No candle lit for us, no asking us if we wanted more water or drinks, not what I would call good service. Good service should be as important as the food. The location near movie theater and some of the food, good, but service and moreover Management's style is unpleasant After all the years of business I've given them and gotten others to give them !

Apres Dien is one of my favorite restaurants/lounge bars in Atlanta. I love hanging out in the room with the lounge couches. The decor puts me in a chill mood. The food is good and the coffee drinks are on point. They have multiple yummy cakes for dessert. The turkey sandwich and the roasted portobello sandwich are two of my favorites. Seasonally, they have a savory pumpkin soup that is DELICIOUS! My friend's two year old couldn't get enough of it. The outside patio and seating area is very nice.

Worst service at any restaurant I have ever been to - server and manager Arabella were down right rude. It makes me sad to write this review. I have been going to Apres Diem for years but after my experience yesterday I will never go again. I was with a group of friends having a holiday brunch. Most of us have been to Apres Diem many times before and were familiar with the menu. As we ordered the server said several times that side items (grits and home fries)were not on the menu. When she was politely asked when they were taken off the menu she stated very rudely that she did not know because this was only her second time working the brunch schedule. When I saw grits being served at a table next to us and pointed it out she said well I guess we could have the side items with an extremely rude tone. Nobody at the table said anything - in fact we said she must be having a bad day and were very understanding. The major problem was when we went to pay the server said we could not split our checks. We politely asked when that policy went into effect because we had come as a group many times and never had an issue splitting the check she rolled her eyes and said she would ask her manager. While we were waiting we had worked out that one of us would pay and the rest of us would Venmo that person. Problem solved we were happy and ready to go and chalked it up to one server having a bad day. Then the manager Arabella showed up and was without a doubt the rudest and most dismissive person I have ever dealt with at any restaurant and I don’t say that lightly. She definitely should not be in a job that interacts with the public. Luckily, my group left in good holiday cheer but Arabella and her staff certainly did everything they could to ruin or day. I highly discourage anyone in a group of more than four to avoid this restaurant.

The food is pretty basic, but tasty. It's a lively atmosphere with folks of all ages. Very convenient for a meal before/after a movie at Landmark.

A most wonderful meal in a restaurant that takes these times seriously. Our pasta meals were absolutely delicious. Cocktails were perfect as was the service. I love how they put health and safety first. I highly recommend supporting them!

A nice place to sit, relax, and act suave, hip, cool, and debonair whilst tucking in to some trendy tapas.

Good Value, good food, nice athmosphere.Just the tables are bit tiny ..... Over all one ofthe best places in MIdtown.

Apres Diem is in the perfect location right outside the Landmark Midtown Movie Theaters. It is great to go to a movie and then stop at Apres Diem afterwards. Unfortunately, the service is appalling! If you happen to catch them between shift changes, you will have to ask to be served. When we asked a waitress why we didn't get back the coin change from our bill, she replied that that was to be part of her tip. Unbelievable! The food is ok depending on what you order. I like the fatoush salad with tiger shrimp when they actually have tiger shrimp and don't substitute smaller shrimp (without letting the customer know). The espresso and latte drinks served in glass mugs are a little off-putting. We always ask for these drinks to be served in ceramic mugs. I would never make a special trip to this restaurant. Too disappointing!

Simply put, I've never had a good meal here. For some reason, there's always someone wanting to come here. Most of the others with me liked their choices, so maybe I made unfortunate choices.

Exotic and fun place to go, get the Babagonoush...

This place is tucked away in MidTown Atlanta. I think unless you are a local, you wouldn't know about it. It is on the new Beltline around Atlanta's MidTown area. For brunch our group had the lobster scrambled egg croissant, crab cakes with hollandaise and shrimp and grits. All dishes were wonderful and beautifully prepared. There is an excellent coffee menu. Patio seating available and it is enclosed and covered for the winter. We arrived at 11 on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately. I think after 12, there is a wait for tables. I made reservations for 11, but not really necessary. Enjoy this little gem.

Yummy dessert menu! Great atmosphere...

Their outdoor eating area was under the 2nd story balcony and therefore was in the shade. Overhead fans kept the air moving making it a wonderful place to catch up with our Atlanta relatives. Our traveling trio chose the Turkey Sandwich, the Angus Burger and a Salmon Ciabatta. Service was good, the Salmon was good, the sweet tea was disappointing, the Angus Burger was not notable other than being a little dry and the Turkey Sandwich was OK.

I had just gotten out of a movie at the Landmark Art Cinema. I had misjudged my time to arrange a Marta Mobility pick up. SO, I had about an hour to kill before their scheduled pick up. So, I headed to the heated sheltered heated patio of ApresDiem right next door.. IT was a cool fall evening. BUt felt good to be out doors after sitting in the theatre. My initial plan was just toget a cup of one of their specialty coffee. BUT I saw one of their burgers go by and after one WHIFF I realized I was hungry and hadnt eatten anything since breakfast. I ordered their burger and a cup of their soup of the day (chicken and Kale).. NOw I must tell you I make a great deal of soup and am considered a good cook. But this soup was fantastic. Or was it that I was just that hungry! The broth alone was excellent! And the burger, well, charcoal grilled, crisp smoky bacon. It was a delight.

Had a delightful Nicoise Salad here. Good service & the food was well prepared & served in a reasonable amount of time.

Walked by this place many times, and it always looks like a busy popular place. The vibe is a european bistro with cafe tables outside. We went there for brunch yesterday. It was my first time there, and I had high expectations that were let down. We shared a mediterranean platter. The hummous and babaganoush both tasted like from a can. There was one tiny cube of feta cheese, and no olives on the platter NONE. I got a "salade nicoise". It looked unlike any salade nicoise I've gotten any where else - no potatoes, and no olives NONE. The only tomatoes on it where two old (brown spots) cherry tomatoes. There was a dry clump of anchovies. The grilled tuna steak was so dry. The red peppers were a clump of mushy roasted red pepper strips. My companions' food was decent/average. None of us had anything that was particularly good. The service was great. I have no complaints about our server. He went above and beyond. It's just that I expected the food to be better than a hole-in-the-wall diner. Also, I should mention the multiple dogs around us while we were eating. Potential patrons who are uncomfortable around dogs should be prepared for that.

This is pretty standard fare with some other Mediterranean influence such as a mezze platter and tomato montrachet. It is basic soup, salad and sandwich fare that is simple and well prepared. The prices are reasonable too. There is an outside patio which seems to be the better place to sit. The staff seem attentive and efficient. I am told that due to its location it can get crowded at lunchtime. I also ate brunch there and thought that was a less interesting menu.

This is absolutely a place for locals and many of those come here never venture out of Perimeter unless they have to. So for those who couldn't figure out why so many people come here, the reason is not for the delicacy but for the convenience. If you are tourists, you won't feel fit in. If you have a party with more than 4 people, you normally don't get to sit in, but outside of it as their tables and seating areas inside are small. Food is Ok but not brilliant. Service is a mixed bag. The lady served our table was charming and delightful. But the two guys brought the food had no clue who ordered what. Two friends ordered the same dish, one with chicken, the other without. But they couldn't tell the difference until they dig in. Unfortunately the one with the chicken was given to a vegetarian...... A terrible mistake.

We stopped here for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed. This place looks like half jazz-bar/neighborhood pub and half restaurant-bistro (not sure this is accurate as description, but this is what it looked to me). Burger was good. There live music in the evenings, if I lived here I would come here again.

We enjoyed a great lunch here. The corvina fish special and the seafood linguini was awesome with very big portions. We also enjoyed the dessert and coffee afterwards. The prices were also very reasonable. We are already planning a return visit.

The nice Midtown location in a strip mall near other interesting places is good, but the food and service are only adequate. The Caesar salad was bland and servers seemed a little slow (physically and mentally). Our waitress simply gestured to the dessert case and mentioned a "special" fruit cup in water - sounds yummy, huh? If I am in the area again, I will try the Indian restaurant in the same strip mall.

I came here with a group before going to see the film 1917 at the theatre next door. When all of us had arrived, the server came and took our orders. No personality, the server didn't introduce herself or talk to us aside from taking the orders. Another person and I had the beef-stuffed raviolis in a cream sauce. The food arrived shortly after ordering, and the entrées were generous without being wasteful. The raviolis were large and there were many sliced mushrooms that were cooked into the sauce. Everyone in the group seemed to enjoy their meals too. I had saved the slice of toasted bread for the end (to eat with the leftover sauce,) but the server took our plates without noticing the placement of my silverware or asking if we had finished. Apparently it's too time-consuming or difficult for that woman to ask guests if they have finished their meals. Bottom line: The main benefit is its location next to the movie theatre. The food is decent, not great, but service needs to be improved. In a city the size of Atlanta, there are many other options that offer a great meal AND good service. I would try other places before returning here.

Stopped in with a friend for mussels, a small bite to eat and a several drinks. Mussels were half price, but it seems that the half price should be the regular price; considering the size and amount. Besides that they were indeed good. The small bite was good, too. In fact, everyone's food there looked good. If you're from out of town, the place can be a little hard to find. Just know that the plaza extends to the right and back once you drive in the main parking lot. Overall the place was very good and I'd come back for the mussels; only on a Monday, though.

It had been a year since we'd been to Apres Diem and I remembered the last time, the roasted veggie sandwich I received was nothing like what it described on the menu (it was missing half the vegetables). But my husband and I decided to try it again because they do have a nice patio. Again, my burger had a teaspoon of blue cheese and maybe one mushroom sliced on top - a little lacking in my opinion. Our server was "ok" but nothing spectacular. We want to like this place, but we were again disappointed and probably won't be back.

Apres Diem is a wonderful place to socialize and eat good food. I went to a private cocktail party there on Monday and ended up eating dinner at an outdoor table. It was my first time at this restaurant. My pasta dish was fabulous! The service was attentive.

I've been to Apres Diem for brunch, lunch and dinner and all have been terrific. It's situated conveniently next to the Landmark Midtown Cinemas and my wife and I try to make Apres Diem part of the itinerary when we go to a film there. Top recommendations: The Crabcake Benedict for brunch (I'd be hard-pressed to think of a better brunch meal I've had), Portobello Sandwich for lunch and, although they're not on the menu, mussels for dinner (also tops in my experience; just ask for them). Service and surroundings are always pleasant. Oh, and great value (e.g. $11.00 for Crabcake Benedict, which has two good sized, crab-filled crabcakes as its foundation).

Great hangout french bistro style

I have visited this restaurant several times while waiting to go to a movie. The service has always been extremely slow and this visit was no exception. My party arrived at the restaurant about an hour and a half prior to the start time of the movie. It took about 45 minutes to get an appetizer and a drink, then another 15 minutes or so for the entree. The food is mediocre and the atmosphere is uninteresting.

The food is always wonderful. We love this restaurant. Service is always friendly. The only downside is that we never seen to leave room for the amazing deserts.

late lunch - sat at the bar -tip -sitting at the bar you will always get better service then on the floor seating and meet interesting folks learn lots of info and always get straight answers about the food etc.ordered the Roasted Portobello sandwich out standing- roasted mushroom grilled eggplant -red peppers- feta- lettuce tomato red onion sun dried tomato mayo on fresh focaccia comes with side salad and house dressing which was very good -- also had lemon cheese cake oh my --it was awesome -tried the banana cream pie, good but wish i had tried the cannoli cake instead -chef

We enjoyed our dinner outside & safe. Our server Julia was excellent. They brought out the heaters as it got cooler & it was great. The tables outside are well spaced for social distancing. I order the mussels ($17). I've had them in the past but they were always very spicy. I asked if I could get them non spicy & Julia checked & said they could. They were delicious. A very large bowl of large size mussels, in a delicious broth with a nice fresh piece of baguette for dipping. I added the fries for $4. They were also delicious. My wife had the special, pork oso bunch ($26). It was delicious. Served with mashed potatoes & greens. Our friends each had the hamburger with fries. They were Hugh & delicious. This was a very nice dining experience.

So overall, if you're looking for a European style cafe in Midtown, there aren't many choices. Arguably, this is the best option. However, desserts are really underwhelming so don't say you weren't warned :). Service is better (meaning faster and friendlier) than Intermezzo intown, but if you're really after great coffee and wow factor desserts and don't mind the exceptionally slow service, maybe it's better to drive the extra mile and go to Intermezzo. Wish I could give Apres Diem a better review because I used to love the original Cafe Diem in the highlands, but it really is pretty lackluster these days.

Apres Diem has a convenient location near Piedmont Park. With indoor and outdoor seating, it provides solid traditional brunch, lunch and dinner choices year round. Most entree's for brunch are $8-$12 making it fairly priced given the location in Atlanta. Service can be a little slow so be prepared to wait, especially if you're in a group of six or more.

I've had the privilege of dining at Apres Diem many times for my monthly French language meet ups. And as such I wanted to bring my visiting in town girlfriend to this happening place. The atmosphere is great and the staff has been friendly and welcoming. That is why I was surprised by our waiter (Colleen)'s demeanor during our visit. She did not seem friendly, helpful, or enthusiastic about taking our order. To add insult to injury, my girlfriend's salad was poorly prepared (How can you mess up a salad?!). At the end we were eagerly ready for our check. Despite the subpar service that night, Apres Diem is still a wonderful hangout that i would recommend to travelers in town.

Ok so it's not the best food that you have ever had, but I recommend the following: - Fruit and Fromage - Hamburger - Turkey Burger - Iced Mocha - Silk chocolate cake - Hummus plate w/ soft pita Service can be spotty, but the outside dining on a nice weekend afternoon is fabulous.

My girlfriend and I went in for a quick dinner on a week night around 7, wasn't too busy so we chose to sit at the bar. There were 2 bartenders on but we struggled to maintain attention and service as they seemed more focused on one other customer seated at the bar ( the only other one ). We ordered a portobello sandwich and a special only to be told the special ordered was from the previous night and wasn't available ( after waiting for it ). Both meals were ok, steak was prepared to temp properly and sandwich was pretty good. We may have tried a dessert if our experience up until then was better but we opted out for Murphys nearby.

Apres Diem is one of my go-to locations to meet friends and grab some great food or just drinks on the patio. It's a great option for dinner and a move at the neighboring Midtown Art Cinema. I find myself again and again. The mussels are delicious!! But really, all of the food it top notch and I always find the wait staff friendly and attentive. I keep going back again and again.

Very romantic and dark with plush couch seating or table service. Mediterranean tapas with great wine list.

Cool restaurant in midtown palisade. Very friendly and attentive wait staff. The veggie ciabatta was good, the beef short rib was very dry, but the salmon farfalle was very good. And you've got to save room for dessert. Peruse the many, many choices in the dessert cabinet, make your selection and enjoy!

Loved this unique restaurant in the middle of Atlanta (seemed to me). Had a wonderful meal here with friends after the Nutcracker Ballet. (Love that there is parking nearby and we didn't have to walk forever, since three of our group of 5, are late 60 and I will soon be 77.) The menu is extensive with something for everybody. I had the Salmon Farfalle which was excellent. Others had the Gyro Wrap, Rigatoni, Penne Albufera and Veggie Sandwich with a mixed greens salad. All servings are large and we had "to go" boxes. Three of us had desert also. I had the coconut cream which was a layered pie/cake and very good. We sat inside, but there was also outside seating. Also a large bar area inside. Our server was prompt and checked on us often. There was hand sanitizer available on each table. We were there around 6 pm and it was getting crowded as we left. Recommend this restaurant!

We were headed to a concert at the Fox and were going to Tapa Tapa their sister restaurant but it was closed so we decided to try this place. Nice atmosphere, cozy and friendly. Nice to see a good wine list as well. We started with an Albariño and Gruner Veltliner then onto reds. My wife ordered the blackened chicken wrap and I the Salmon Farfalle both good but lacking some flavor. Overall enjoyed this place and would recommend.

Good place to grab a bite and have a drink before catching amovie next door.

cool, lounge like atmosphere with yummy coffee, desserts and appetizers
Bar with food
We came on a Monday night for a drink and then decided to have a bite to eat. This restaurant is located off Monroe behind the Trader Joe's, next to the cinema. It has an outside deck and tables. Plenty of parking but it does get crowded. We sat in the back room on a sofa. We ordered a couple of drinks and I ordered an appetizer Hummus and pita, my partner ordered a Turkey sandwich. The Hummus was nothing special, served with some standard pita, carrots and celery, did not taste homemade. The turkey sandwich apparently was nothing special but was better than my appetizer. The waitress was prompt and friendly. Nice place to grab a drink, cool decor and vibe, we might return to try it again, but the food is not what you come for.
