Good wine list, but that’s about all

By Mary G |

We, a party of 8,dined at Apron on a Tuesday evening, the place was busy and the bar was hopping. We were seated, our server stopped by after about 10 minutes to say she was busy and would be back in about 15 minutes, really? We eventually ordered some very nice wine and it arrived about 15 minutes later along with bread rolls and butter. We ordered dinner and more wine. Our salads arrived, but not at the same time, eventually over 15 minutes, we all had our salads, the beet salad was good as was the Greek salad. Our entrees didn’t arrive at the same time either and now things get really bad. The buttermilk brined chicken was so over cooked it was hard to break through the crust, the dish is a deconstructed sandwich but can be a sandwich too. The whole grilled bronzino (2of us ordered this dish) was really small pieces of trout on roasted potatoes, cold potatoes. The server never mentioned that they had no bronzino and just served the substitute. One diner ordered spaghetti, it was served 20 minutes after all other entrees were served. When we got our bill, they were sure to add their gratuity in and charge our 2 diners for the Bronzino dinners that they were not served. I’m sure trout doesn’t command the same price! No apologies for such poor service were made and they were not happy when we requested our bill to be adjusted. The restaurant is very pretty and comfortable but needs a new chef and servers!

Ok food.

Service was slow and food not exactly what server said it was. Wine was good, but meal wasn't so great

Food is okay, but not for groups

By JessicaLTL |

Came here for a friends birthday party. We came in and were seated quickly, but that was the only thing quick about the evening. I’ll say some nice things first, our waitress was very kind and had a bubbly personality. The place was also decorated nice but office cafeteria nice. The food took FOREVER! Some in our party got their entrees before others got their appetizers or drinks. After the waitress took my order and even made suggestions on what to add to my burger... she FORGOT to put the order in. My friend ordered steak and after 30 mins, told him that they were out of steak. But After he had been waiting on his food and watching everybody else eat. Because they forgot my order, they offered me a salad on the house.... keep in mind my original order was a berger. Offering a hungry person a salad in place of a burger is laughable. The gesture was nice, however, I rather them get their deal together than pacify guests with free salads.

Good!

So I will respond to the hotel, separately. Here I wish to talk about the restaurant. We have eaten there 3 non-consecutive nights. We had delicious food each night. There is experience and quality in this kitchen. We have had the trout, the Greek dips, the Arancini, the Asian steamed pork buns, and various white wines. The true, unexpected delight of Apron is Agnes. Agnes does everything and takes care of everyone. She is extremely efficient and personable. There is no question that Agnes made every visit better, let alone, more enjoyable. We realize that Hapeville may not be a location for destination dining, but we may continue our visits - although attached to the hotel and a move back to the ATL area initially - and suggest that anyone within reach should consider the same.

Very cool place for dinner!

By Sanda24237 |

Had a late dinner there after I arrived for my reservation. The place has a really cool vibe and energy about it. The food was excellent, not what I expected at a hotel restaurant. I will be back on my next trip to Atlanta.

WONDERFUL drinks and WONDERFUL food!!

By Mark H |

I considered my supper here as the "icing on the cake" for this FABULOUS hotel!! The bar tender called me by my name while I was there... kept my wine glass full... and made sure I had EVERYTHING I needed. Truly a wonderful place that MUST NOT be missed!! Happy travels!

Business Lunch

Business lunch and the food was wonderful. Two appetizer to make up my meal and had food left over for later. Nice and quite.

Top notch caring service

By Tinkvasi |

We ended up eating at this restaurant as we could not get service at another local restaurant. We were staying at the Kimpton Overland Hotel. Upon a return from attempting to eat elsewhere, we ran into Samantha who asked how our dinner was. When we mentioned to her the horrible service that we received at another Restaurant, she said please come and eat at our restaurant and mention my name and we will take care of you. She meant what she said! When we sat down, I was a little disappointed with their draft and bottled beer selection and was not going to order a drink. However, our waiter, PVATIK, Suggested I take another look, perhaps at the cocktails. I ordered one with the Grand Marnier. Lethal and tasty. When I said to our waiter that Samantha had mentioned that we should mention her name, he already knew! She already had called back, even though she was leaving for the day to tell them to take good care of us. Outstanding service! We each ordered the chicken dinner With the mashed potatoes and gravy. Divine! My husband took his with the carrots that normally come with the meal but I changed mine to asparagus. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent.

Apron restaurant

By Kristi G |

Picked this restaurant for our 15th Wedding Anniversary and it was the perfect choice. Our waitress, Agnes, was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and drink selections. She was also very personable and funny. The food from the appetizer to the entree was splendid. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with a special Anniversary dessert brought out personally by the chef. I would definitely dine here again!!

Surprisingly Good

By LostGator09 |

Eating at hotels, a lot, has left me jaded. It always seems like a crap-shoot. Well, this restaurant left me pleasantly surprised. The fish, grains and vegetables were delicious. I would definitely eat there again.

Nice vibe and good staff with good meals.

By jackfrost0904 |

Enjoyed our visit here. It is a great place indoors or outdoors, where you can watch aircraft land at ATL. Beer and wine selections are good. We had a combination of the Angus Burger, Roasted Beet Salad, Grilled Peaches, and Mango Panna Cotta. All were quite good. Would definitely visit again.

Calamari

By chefjess81 |

The Best Calamari I have ever had! The meyer lemon aioli is to die for. and the salads are wonderful.

Early Dinner with a View

By shainamangino |

A friend and I wanted to try something different for dinner last weekend, so we stopped by Apron at the new Solis Hotel. The restaurant was right off the lobby area and was very bright and airy. Ricardo was there when we walked in, greeted us and brought us to a lovely booth by the windows where we could see the planes coming in. It was just before sunset, so the view was perfect. We had several drinks. All delicious. I believe Lauren and Ashley were bartenders that evening. They have a real knack for making sure the drinks were light and flavorful. TJ was our server. He was very attentive and helpful and made an excellent oyster recommendation. My asparagus risotto was amazing. Probably one of the best I've had in the Atlanta area. Incredibly creamy but not too heavy. My friend had the Mezzah - grilled naan and pita with hummus, preserved tomato, and olive tapenade. It was a substantial portion of dips and dippers and very tasty. Throughout the evening, Ricardo checked on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Sophia also stopped by to help clear the table. Everyone was so nice. We closed the dinner with tiramisu, which had a lot of flavor but still remained light. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The view of the incoming planes really sold on the atmosphere.

A pleasant surprise

By SRF |

We were staying at solís and didn’t want to go elsewhere for dinner at 9:30. We were very pleased wit both the quality of the food and the staff. Both were uncommonly good for an airport hotel. Possibly that is because in addition to being an airport hotel, the hotel does a significant business with Porsche which is next door. Whatever the reason, it would be hard to do better in a hotel restaurant.

Awesome Customer Service and Atmosphere

By Bradford |

Apron is an awesome restaurant with great customer service, from the manager (Janele) to the staff! The food is fresh and delicious and the drinks are made to perfection. Look forward to visiting again soon!

Best food I have ever had in a hotel!

By Mechelle-1 |

I had the branzino fish and the Brussels sprouts kudos to the chef! Perfect. 5 star restaurant! Agnes was awesome. I will stay at this hotel again for this restaurant! The only reason I am not giving them an excellent rating is because the wine pour for the price of per glass was not fair. I needed to order a double to get a single serving. That being said the wine was delicious as well!

Turned me into a fish person!

By Annie N |

I have eaten at APRON a few times while tagging along with my husband on business trips and have always received awesome service! This past visit, our server Tonaye suggested the branzino, I told her I wasn't really a fish person and asked if she thought I would still like it, she told me I should try it and if I didn't like it we could figure something else out. IT WAS AMAZING! Seriously, I don't often eat fish, but my 1 year old and I picked it apart. I will definitely order it again! Also, they are awesome with kiddos! Solis and APRON seem like they are definitely frequented more by business people rather than families but they are always so sweet and accommodating to my daughter, which I so appreciate! Thank you so much APRON!

Can't Wait For My Next Business Trip To Atlanta!

By sarahl8626 |

While on a business trip last Sunday, I came to Apron for lunch and was simply blown away. I wasn’t expecting this restaurant being much being that it was remote and away from the city. On my way to the airport I stopped by and my experience there was worth every penny. I loved the view. Despite the menu being on the pricey side for me personally, it was awesome! From the welcoming by the hostess and the bartender as I walked in, to the manager Yost checking in on me ensuring everything was well. Phenomenal job, Apron! I cannot wait to come back to Atlanta and try their dinner menu.

I’m not a fan…

By LeppFrog |

The Apron is in the Kimpton Overland Hotel. I’ve just written an over the top stellar review of the KOH and I wish I could do the same here. However, the Apron was average at best. Our first experience was a snack after check-in. It is a limited menu and my first selection wasn’t available, so we took option #2, the calamari. We love calamari, we didn’t love these calamari and only ate a few. Str8 up, it really sucked. Our second visit was for breakfast and again, my menu choice wasn’t available… 2 for 2. What I did order was OK but, ‘OK’ doesn’t cut it at these prices. I’m not a fan of the Apron.

Hummus is a must try

By Pkbull |

My husband had the hummus appetizer. It was quite possibly one of the best we've had.. Three different varieties. Outstanding! If you like hummus, you have to try it. I had the Caesar salad and it was really good as well. For breakfast I had pancakes that had cornmeal in them. I thought they were good but you have to like cornmeal if you order them. Hubby had an omelette and it was good as well. Service is friendly and atmosphere is very cool.

Came back for seconds

By Jenn S |

Apron is the brand new restaurant located inside the new Solis Hotel next to the Porsche Driving Experience. The hotel is impeccable and this restaurant fits right in! We started with the Georgia miles and shared a crab cake appetizer in which there was little filler and all crab meat. We ordered the roasted chicken with honey roasted carrots (amazing) and asparagus risotto and the NY sirloin with honey balsamic brussel sprouts (I’ve tried replicating these because wow!!) with a side of papas (roasted potatoes). Creme brûlée and tiramisu topped off the meal. Everything was perfection, down to the service. The manager checked up on us multiple times as did the head chef. We were so happy with our meal we came back for breakfast the next day! The French toast did not disappoint! Highly recommend eating here.

Very Pleasant Experience

By James Moore |

A friend recommended Apron Restaurant and we decided to give it a try. Everything exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Grilled Branzino Skordalia and could not have made a better selection. The toppings were also excellent. By the end of the meal we were planning our return visit. Agnes, our waitress was very personable with an impressive sense of humor (she would make an excellent comedian). I would highly recommend the Apron Restaurant. I know I will be returning soon.

Great food and staff

By rkc440 |

Excellent selection of local craft beer with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Try the Osso Buco, you will not be dissapointed!

Great experience

By Snoop MK |

What a nice dinner for Fathers Day. Reservation was easy on OpenTable and the place was deserted. Osso Bucco was special. Sea bass was exceptional. Angus burger is huge but missing something (as good as the sauces on the other items were in surprised there wasn’t something on the burger.) Best of all was our server Agnes who had that rare blend of personality and professionalism. Highly recommended.

Decent Meal

By Runnerny2244 |

Ate here for dinner while staying at the Kimpton. Food was good, service a little slow. I think they were just a bit short staffed like the rest of the country. Limited menu, but what they had was really good.

Bday Celebration

By Soul X |

I have coined this truly to be my home away from home. Last week was nothing less than AMAZING!!! Solis ( SO-LEEZ) failed me NAWT! I knew after visiting earlier this year that I would be back and well the time came for a LEO-bration, last week. The experience was PURE Awesomeness. My bestie and I decide to start our weekend off with dinner at the Apron and our server Tonaye and Chef Paul kept us laughing and full of food and good drinks. Great Vibes- They both rocked! Everyone was welcoming and always available to make yet another guest happy. ME! As I arrived I had the pleasure of meeting Isabella R. the Travel Manager and Yannick. Both greeted me with all smiles and took great care of me and my luggage. I had a Track view room and when I say it was the BOMB - it really was. Everyone I met was pleasant and always offering assistance. We had a late dinner so we did not make it to Overdrive for mot cocktails however we were able to enjoy watch the busiest airport prove that is it is busiest airport. I will be back especially for Happy Hour to get my favorite drink Georgia Palmer

Friendly service, good food, cool views

By Kelli R |

After a cancelled flight, I ended up at the Solis and had apps and drinks at the bar in Apron. My server Lauren was wonderful ... friendly, efficient and offered good suggestions. The local beers and mezza plate were very good ... and plentiful. And the views of the Porsche Experience Center and landing planes are an added treat. I'll be back!

Fantastic lunch

By Michael T |

Spiced Fuji apple, blood orange and shaved fennel with avocado mousse to start, seared scallops and ancient grains with bitter greens for entree - what a treat. For later, visit Overdrive lounge on top of the hotel, looks out over the Porsche track and the airport. There is even live music!

Food is Great

By Merlin K |

friendly service from the valet service to the great drinks and food. Please note if you dine in the apron or roof top parking is free.

Beautiful Dining Room, great sounding menu, not so great execution

By Tara R |

We dined at Apron on Sunday evening. It was not very busy, except for 2 larger parties. The dining room is filled with windows and must be quite bright when the sun is out, but remained warm and inviting even when the sun is down. I had reviewed the menu online before getting to the restaurant and was very much looking forward to trying the house made pasta and the Mediterranean appetizers. My first choice of appetizer was not available, so we went with the antipasto platter. It was basic, nothing special, except for what I assume was a small house made burrata. Also, I have to say that I was surprised that antipasto was served with store bought crackers, rather than bread. We both ordered "pasta" for entrees and they also proved to be somewhat disappointing. My husband's Bucatini Carbonara was the better of the two, but he found the lardon to be completely overpowering. I ordered the Gnocchi; the flavors were nice, but the addition of the small burrata cooled the dish down so much that it made the sauce too thick and gloopy. I also think both dishes would have been better had they not been so heavily sauced. We also ordered two glasses of red wine with our meals. The wines were fine, but were unfortunately poured into fresh from the dishwasher/hot glasses...The staff is very friendly and approachable, but could benefit from proper training in food/wine service. I think that this could be a good restaurant if the proper person/people were brought in to fine tune the menu choices and service.

Homey comfort

By sandramJ3690YI |

Service here is friendly and efficient. We had breakfast here and could not say one thing negative about it. I had eggs benedict and they were perfect, loved the half roasted tomato on the plate. My friend had the berries with yogurt. She raved about the freshness of the berries and the taste of the yogurt. definitely suggest eating there. Staff is wonderful.

Campfire & Cocktails

By Renee M |

Amazing evening dining at Apron!! I’m taken back to my childhood days as a Girl Scout and oh, how wonderful those days were especially on cool nights out camping in the woods. How is any of this relevant? Well, as I sit here sipping my cocktail out side by the fire pit, Mario, the manager just presented my friend and me with an unexpected treat- marshmallows, chocolates and graham crackers!! Put it all together and you know what you get? Yes, yummy s’mores!! Talk about the customer service. We jokingly asked for these ingredients and moments later they arrived on a silver platter. The staff here at Apron go over and beyond with the service. Our server is Tonaye and she, too has been AMAZING!!! I’m wrapped up in a blanket that she fought hard to find because I was freezing. This is our secret so please don’t expect blankets when you come:) What is guaranteed, however, is superb service, great food and an experience you will remember for years to come. Thank you Mario and Tonaye for a wonderful night at Apron.

Great food with wonderful wait staff!

By LGC & JCFC |

Had a great experience at APRON while my spouse and I stayed at the attached Kimpton Overland hotel. The pork chop was very good, and my spouse devoured the trout meal with zeal. Tonee, our waitress, was personable, knowledgeable, and more than inviting; kudos to her for the excellent service. I look forward to dining here again soon!

Nice new place, good food, good service

By Cla13bdAD |

The place is brand new, new atmosphere, very « Porsche » style. Although the menu is not very long, if offers genuinely good stuff, based on good quality ingredients. They have good wines too. The stag is friendly and the service is good.

Wonderful experience at the Apron

By Leonard L |

A coworker and I came to the Porsche Experience Center for some training and stayed at the Kimpton hotel on site. The Apron restaurant on the first floor of the hotel seemed like the convenient choice for a meal our first night. Our expectations were immediately exceeded when we were greeted by the professional and eager staff even as the restaurant was to close soon. We were taken care of by Agnes, our host. Unfamiliar to the restaurant, we asked her to surprise us with a meal. She did not disappoint and also described the meal and ingredients when we asked. She seemed very professional and was such a great host, we returned the next 2 evenings. We both agreed we had eaten the best pork chop we’d ever eaten at this restaurant. Every single item on the plate was unique, cooked well, and paired well to the local beers the restaurant had on tap. It is not an exaggeration to say this is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had and was fortunate to have someone so passionate about food and hospitality to provide that experience. Don’t overlook this place. It is not your typical hotel bar!

Great experience

We had the best experience with Agnes! Her service was second to none, her personality was so special and she totally brightened our evening.

A real find

By Ralph B |

A really cool restaurant in the hotel next to the Porsche headquarters. Roof top open area bar was great, good service and one of the best old fashions I have had. Nice view of the airport and the track at Porsche. Just off the lobby is Arron. A nice experience with a somewhat limited menu, but enough choices to have a good selection. Both fish dishes, the Branzio and Steelhead Trout were prepared spot on. The Grilled Peach appetizer was really good as was the Charcuterie board. The warm sticky toffee cake was sinful. Our server, Agnes, was helpful, attentive and an overall joy to have waiting on us.

Agnes is AMAZING!

By Elle Gee |

Went in for dinner and met Agnes, a wickedly witty woman (from Thailand I believe) whose humor made our night. She was able to accommodate my extreme dietary needs (which I was so shy about for fear of being deemed as picky) while offering fantastically suggestions for my friend. Every bite of our food was salacious and we truly cannot wait to return. Valet and the scenery make this place a gem.

Incredible Service and Incredible Food

By Clair H |

We went to Apron for dinner and had the pleasure of having Tonaye as our server for the night. She was hilarious and professional and guided us through the menu to ensure we ordered to fit our appetites. She also recommended some incredible dishes as well as a wonderful wine to pair. We enjoyed all of the food and wine and really enjoyed having Tonaye as our guide. Would absolutely come again and I would definitely request Tonaye's section.

Thanks Agnes!

By Meagan G |

Enjoyed our visit to the restaurant, especially the charcuterie plate and almond tart. Agnes is a fun character! :)

wonderful service, great meal

By DCHillites |

I've learned not to expect much from a hotel restaurant besides high prices, so I was delighted to have both a wonderful meal and truly excellent service at Apron when I visited back on Oct. 25. I came into Atlanta midday for a meeting and went to Apron for lunch. I told my server, Karen, that I could only eat soft, bland foods and asked for her recommendation. She didn't bat an eyelash, but thoughtfully considered my request and pointed me toward the bucatini carbonara. When it arrived, I was bowled over by a gorgeous dish of creamy pasta with a perfect poached egg atop it. Karen had even had the bacon put on the side in case it was too much for me. What I didn't tell Karen is that I'm a cancer patient, and I'd been suffering for weeks with terrible mouth sores that made every meal an ordeal. On that day, the bucatini was utterly perfect; not only did it not hurt my mouth, but it tasted absolutely wonderful. I worked my way through the whole big bowl and practically licked it clean. Many, many thanks to Karen and everyone at Apron for a meal that was truly a gift.

Dinner

The venue is very pleasing. The service is very good. Lauren W, the bartender was the best. I would recommend Apron as a place to dine. Horace R.

Expected better food - Service was great- Agnes is AMAZING

By hayescmh |

I had a business dinner at the Apron. Agnes was terrific provided not only excellent service she did it with humor and a personal touch. She made our evening memorable. The food on the other hand was just ok. I expected more from a Kimpton Hotel restaurant. I had a steak and asked for it medium to medium rare and there was no pink left. It came with a sweet potato that was not cooked enough and I could not eat it. I did try the Apron for breakfast and the food was better than the night before.

Very good - has potential to be great

By RyanColSolare |

Why 3 stars? Because Apron was good but has the potential to be better with some fine-tuning. Having read the Yelp reviews, most of which were very positive, my wife and I decided to give Apron a try. The restaurant is beautiful and is located in the brand-new Kimpton Hotel. The menu has a heavy emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine, which we love, so we were excited to see their interpretation. We started with the dolmas, which are traditional grape leaves that are filled with rice and spices. Apron's version came out warm - in a nice ramekin with a lemon buerre-blanc. It was delicious! We each had a glass of wine; their wine and drink menu is very expansive and creative, and wines by the glass are reasonably priced; Justin Cab @ $16 and a nice Latour Chardonnay for $16. For our entrees, my wife ordered the burger, and I ordered the gyro; the former is a word-wide standard, the latter is, of course, a Mediterranean classic. Here is where things got slightly off track. My wife liked her burger, but it did not come with any condiments for it or her fries, and we had to ask several times - and wait about 5 minutes. My gyro was not a classic gyro, but it was still good. Let me explain. If you've ever had a gyro, you know it is a grilled pita filled with lamb (typically shaved), lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki. Apron's version was...dry! The lamb was very tasty & seasoned very well. But there was no lettuce, no tomatoes, and only a slight drizzle of tzatziki. I asked for tomatoes and more tzatziki, and this saved the dish. We spoke with our server who said that tChef used to serve it the traditional way, but some people did not want or like the tomatoes and lettuce. My suggestion is that Chef return to the classic preparation and perhaps compromise and serve the lettuce and tomatoes on the side...and definitely add some more tzatziki.

Awesome osso bucco

By ajhernan |

Agnes was fantastic and the food was phenomenal! Agnes was so sweet and gave us the best recommendations. The osso bucco was to die for, try it for yourself!

Nice restaurant near the airport

By Alicia N |

I liked the food and the ambiance. Nice option in an area in which there is not much to choose from.

Apron's potential.

By Bananahambone |

The atmosphere is incredible. Staff is also incredible. Sofie especially. And Josh. With any new establishment there are quirks in service standards. The menu was not up to date and no staff mentioned anything until ordering. The manager who dropped food back handed the played, which indicated he did not know seat numbers. This is not a big deal to the masses but to awards guys.... It's a huge deal. The food is boring. The fish was hotel airport quality. The burger was dry and a bummer. The best thing we had were the mocktails. I heard the menu is changing and that is good. Because the potential of this establishment is huge and it would be a shame if they didn't correct course. I will return as I have an interest in seeing this restaurant succeed.

Great Food

By AJStravels00 |

The food was delicious and great proportions. The presentation was beautiful. I look forward to trying a new dish every time I return.

Another restauarant in a hotel!

By Texhusky75 |

The food is mediocre but the location next to the offices of Porsche USA is the unique part of it. The driving track can be seen and if you want to see Porches in action this is the place (but only during the day).

Does not meet the standard for an upscale hotel

By Bmanwest |

My wife and I ate breakfast at the Apron on a Sunday morning. My wife had a cheese and egg frittata, I had two eggs with hash browns and sausage. We split a side of cheese grits and a side of toast. We both had coffee. We first had a waiter who took our order but never came back. The food was brought out by a waitress and was missing a few items. Our table had no spoons or sugar caddy and we had to ask for them. We were never offered water to drink. The missing food was brought out by a third waitress, and our bill was brought out by a fourth. There was one follow up on the food. The booth where we sat had crumbs on the table from an earlier diner. The staff were very friendly, but the service was very amateurish. The food was good, coffee was good. When we asked what happened to our waiter, we were told that he was too ill to keep serving and that the supervisor let him take a break until he felt better. Seriously? The night before we ate dessert at the Apron and the waitress brought us ice waiter without being asked. Food quality and presentation were very good. Service was good. There was live entertainment and a very pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant has a nice outdoor patio with free wi-fi. People chose to sit outside and work there, others just had cocktails and watched the planes take off. The place has a good vibe and in the evening I would rate it five stars. My impression is that if you don’t feel like venturing out, the restaurant is okay. Service and cleanliness need to be addressed though, especially for the prices you are paying.

Fantastic for team dinners

By Jessica |

We had a meeting at Kimpton in Atlanta and as fantastic as the service was for our meeting it was just as great at The rooftop for happy hour and Apron for dinner. Service was great, food was great, wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend for anyone looking to host a team dinner. Such a cool venue and great location by the airport and Porsche.

perfect service!

By Beau N |

From the valet who cheerfully parked my car despite the drentching from the sudden summer storm to the hostess who had the good sense to change our reservation request from outdoor dining to an inside window seat (see previously mentioned storm) to Agnes our server, the service at this restaurant was perfect. Agnes is a true professional and was truly the highlight of this dining experience. Not that the food was less than great or the menu not as creative as it could be. The food was excellent and the menu just varied enough to get your attention and keep it but not too taxing. But that's pretty much what's expected at this level/type of place. The real gem here is Agnes who knew when to be chatty and when to be efficient. She knew what was good and what would be good with it and wasn't afraid to offer her opinion and her opinion was well informed. She made our night and makes this restaurant shine.

Drinks and dinner

By Alberto R |

We visited APRON to get away from our hotel lobby restaurant with not much of an expectation of experiencing anything great. To our surprise, we ran into APRON. The facility is modern and new, presents extremely well. The service from the time we walked in was impeccable, we were seated by Agnes, she walked us through the specials and recommend a really great bottle of wine. The food far exceeded our expectations, everything we ordered from appetizers to the main courses were worldly. We will without a doubt be back next time we visit Atlanta! Alberto R

Agnes rocks! She offered great

Date Night

By Angela W |

My boyfriend and I decided to do a Staycation at the Solis. They recommended dinner at the Apron restaurant and I am so glad that they did. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I had the Steelhead Trout and my boyfriend had the Braised Veal. I highly recommend both! The trout if you want to truly indulge! And what made the night complete was our server Agnes. Her service was incredible but her knowledge of the menu and suggestions for wine pairings was on point!!! I let her pick my wine for the trout and it was an amazing compliment to my meal. I highly recommend Apron and ask for Agnes!

Bday lunch

I had the pleasure of having lunch here. It was fantastic. The service was good and it had a great atmosphere. The prices were good also. I will definitely come back.

Awesome experience and Agnes made our night! Great service and wonderful service!! P.S. great positive humor! ❤️

Fun new find

By TJSM |

We were a business party of 10 and all guests had a great time, thanks to the attentive service of Agnes and manager Ricardo. For an appetizer, I had the spicy shrimp and gnocchi ($12) which was wonderful, and for my entree I had the osso bucco over polenta. It was delicious. The portions are generous, so a word of caution: both were share-worthy! Definitely worth another try, even though Apron is hard to get to, being by the airport with the awful Atlanta rush-hour traffic!

Great Experience

By Princess Kriste... M |

What a great experience to overall. For the service, staff and the foods, it was excellent we had our lunch with my friends and Ricardo is very friendly and also isabela, our server is very knowledgeable about the foods. The view was perfect since it’s close to the airport. We ate calamari and it was really good. Highly recommended. Hope to be returning soon.

Fantastic Hotel Restaurant

By Nathan |

The piri piri (Swahili for pepper pepper) gnocchi and prawns were excellent and on of the most enjoyable dishes I have had in a long time. Large portion for an appetizer. Had the ? Slovakian chicken sandwich which was also very good with pepperoncini charred tomatoes and kalamati aioli. Service was excellent. My son and I were pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced.

Recently had breakfast here during a visit. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. All the food taste wonderful and it was hot and fresh. I recommend the omelet meal if your hungry. The yogurt was sweet and the right texture. The oatmeal was very good as well. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. Also, if your a smoke salmon fan, it is some of the best smoke salmon I have tasted. Overall, when visiting the area, I will definitely be back. Great start to a great day!

Delicious food, excellent service!

I brought my husband here for his birthday after he enjoyed the Porsche Experience across the street. Amazing! The food and wine was yummy, especially the hummus appetizer. However, service is what sets this restaurant apart! Our server, Whitfield, obviously enjoys his job. He made excellent suggestions and was extremely warm. Manager Paul stopped by a couple times to ensure everything was good—and it certainly was! He made us feel like cherished guests in his home. Chef Paul also visited our table to ensure we were enjoying our selections and to explain how the dishes were constructed. We were blown away! We never shared the fact that we had flown in to celebrate my Porsche-loving husband’s birthday, but they treated us like VIPs!

Ottimo hotel

By Simone P |

Moderno pulito personale molto accomodante e cordiale. Colazione molto buona peccato per le poche opzioni vegane. The only concern for what o didn't give the 5 stars is the internet connection that is really crap I didn't expect this from an hotel in US

Great Ambiance!

My husband and I dinned at Apron on Valentine’s Day 2k19. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the food was also great! There was a Valentine’s Day pre-fix three course with many options which was important as my husband is a vegetarian. The butternut squash soup was amazing as was the pan seared sea bass which I had and the eggplant that my husband enjoyed. We are looking forward to returning very soon. Lastly, our waitress Agnes was great, she was a hoot!

Amazing experience at Apron

By Amyw1222 |

Dined here with some business colleagues on 9/25/18. I eat out often for business and Agnes was BY FAR one of the BEST servers I have EVER had! She is knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining, engaging - I could go on. My five guests and I had a great time because of Agnes and the food was quite good as well. Will return if I find myself back in the area.

Agnes was Great!

Great meal and exceptional service. If you make it here...ask for Agnes. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome food and service, Agnes is awesome.

Awesome food and service, love Agnes!!!!! Very good service. The service from Agnes was terrific. I would come back.

Amazing Staff. Stellar Food.

While staying at the Solis Porsche Hotel, I decided to try out the Apron restaurant. I had the Prestige Farms Chicken with crispy Yukon gold potatoes, chorizo, brussel sprouts and apple brandy sauce. It was amazing. Our server Agnes had such a delightful demeanor that we agreed to come back.

Bad food, good service

By NWFloridaReuben |

This is a restaurant that has a great location and should be outstanding especially since it's located in a 4 star hotel next to Porsche's NA headquarters. However food quality has gone downhill. I came in for lunch with a business group I was hoping to impress. Ordered the Shrimp Cobb salad and you can smell the bad shrimp before the server brought it to the table. Do the kitchen staff not realize that when the shrimp starts to smell you throw it out and not serve it. This place is looking for someone to get seriously ill before they make a change in the kitchen.

Great Time, Great Service

I have been to this place a few times. Most recently, I wanted to plan a large dinner to celebrate with friends. I called and spoke with Barbara, the manager. She was so very helpful and attentive with planning and creating a prefixed menu. She kept in touch during the final week leading up to reservations to make sure everything was setup to my liking. I pick this place over and over again because of the views. You can see the planes taking off and landing at the Atlanta airport. It is such a beautiful sight at night. Valet is complimentary. Arrived at the restaurant and the tables were set up just as I asked with live music playing in the background (their norm for Saturday nights). To my surprise, AGNES, was my waitress AGAIN. Agnes was my waitress the last time I was there. I love her spirit and her willingness to help. She was very engaging and just happy go lucky. I was glad to have her again. Food... amazing. I do not eat seafood. So I cannot recommend any of those dishes. However, I recommend the steak, brown butter mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. The food is amazing. The chef is wonderful.

Great Meal, Great Service, Great Atmosphere!

By MrAquarius |

I recently visited Apron with intention on visiting 356 restaurant to celebrate a close friends BDay (both located at Porsche facility) not realizing 356 required a reservation, ended up at Apron which was a blessing in disguise. The atmosphere was perfect, dark enough to be intimate, but a lively bar area and many group meals going on. The service was excellent from the front reception folks to our server Agnes who really made the night the Bomb!! She was very knowledgeable about the wines made great suggestions with that and food! She's incredibly funny and very attentive! Lastly the food was amazing! My friend (vegetarian) had a bean risotto which I tasted and couldn't stay out of her plate, and I'm not a vegetarian! lol I had a very fancy chicken sandwich which was awesome as well@! All around great experience, I will go back again and highly recommend!

Astounding Service!!

By Allyssa M |

Wow! The food at Apron was absolutely delicious... and the service was what stood out to me even more! Our server Tonaye was a phenomenal and integral part of our evening!! Such a generous and engaging spirit! On top of making great recommendations, she made us all feel so welcome on our first visit to Apron. It was my first visit to Atlanta, and she was one of a handful of people that set the tone for a phenomenal weekend. Thank you so much Tonaye! We even got a friendly visit from the chef and manager! A remarkable evening.

A must go! Ask for Agnes

By Gracie W |

The food was delicious, as were the cocktails and wine, and our waitress Agnes brightened up our night. She suggested the veal- which was delicious, and the wine- which paired perfectly. Hats off!

Nice bar for drinks and snacks.

By mbrstuff |

Went to Apron with friends. Sat at the bar for cocktails and snacks. Bartenders were super friendly and the bar had a nice selection of beers, wine and spirits. We enjoyed some appetizers which were tasty.

Not All That

By LuckySpivey |

The wait staff was attentive. The beet salad was delicious, so we hoped it set the tone for the meal, instead it was the highlight. The moussaka was a mess. The fish was fishy. The risotto was not much better. The pana cota was lost a plate of decorative berries. Hope this was just an off night.

Agnes was Fantastic! Food was great.

By mjbrois |

We were here on business and Agnes was serving us. What a polished, passionate, professional. Her food and drink suggestions had us sold! Agnes's knowledge and enthusiasm was so impressive, she could run that entire place! Agnes is a RARE find!

Lovely experience on Valentine's Day

By Shonnie A |

Agnis was a delight. Her humor kept us laughing. She even took our picture. The entire staff from the greeter, floor manager, and chef were polite. The food was excellent. I'm vegetarian and there were plenty of options offered by our waitress.

So sad to have to leave this review...

I've dined here numerous times with ladies after work. Wanted to bring my family to enjoy the great quality food, service and views from the rooftop. No service on the rooftop. The menu changed and the 2 items we were excited about were not on the menu. Ended up ordering a Burger (dry), Tacos (bland), Soup (barely warm), Scallops (very salty) with Polenta (dry like cardboard!). Service was extremely slow. We were there 2 hours! Waitress never asked if we wanted drink refills. My son snagged her and said he would like another beer. She said ok and ran off. The rest of us were sitting there like... uh.... WE would like a drink as well! Come on - for a hotel restaurant, on the pricier side for what you get, at LEAST provide decent service! It wasn't even busy! Disappointing at best. Will not be giving Apron my business any longer.

Poor service

By chocolatedelite41 |

I had dinner at this restaurant week's ago it took a long time for someone to take my order. My food was cold when I received it and I didn't feel important as customer. Based on the video posted on social media, I refuse to come back to your establishment.

4 things right

By Cocktails_at_Seven |

First and foremost this is a five-star hotel with an incredible restaurant and the rooftop bar is the bomb! Number one the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. Great bar. Number two food selection is very good. Share with your friends order a bunch of appetizers or a main dish to share. Number three service is quite pleasing and number four you head up to the rooftop bar Watch the planes land at one of the best airports in the world.

Far more was right than wrong

By califgirl72 |

I ended up at Apron because my flight was cancelled and the hotel (Solis) was a great last minute option for an overnight stay. Apron was pretty empty (on a Friday night in summer) but the location is clean and classy and well-done. Great view of the (Delta) runway and Porsche track next door. I had the steelhead trout and brussel sprouts. Fish was excellent and brussel sprouts were good but not amazing. Healthy portion size. Service was very attentive but not overly so as to be distracting. Wine list is decent with a wide variety. Rookie mistake was that the rolls served early on were clearly microwaved to warm them, as over-micro’d bread gets really hard, fast. But other than that? Excellent. As a side note, the hotel seems great, too, but that’s for another review.........

Wonderful Dining @ Apron

By tidavisbmj |

From California, I was on an overnight in ATL and was able to join a dear friend for dinner! He made reservations at Apron and I was eager to experience. Hands down, dinner was the best! Our server, Ms. Agnes, was not only a sweetheart, but she offered amazing dining customer service coupled with superb knowledge on the chef's outstanding menu. Our chosen options were superb! THANK YOU APRON... THANK YOU MS. AGNES...it was a fabulous dining experience for my friend and me! Tara D.

Great food ... amazing service!

Stopped in on advice from a colleague and was very impressed! Had a kale and beet salad which looked and tasted amazing. And all of the servers and hosts were friendly and very kind. Thank you Apron ... I'll be back!

Excellent food fast service

I had the sea bass for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Service was prompt and friendly. Some air traffic noise intrudes on an otherwise excellent experience. I would recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful dining experience!

Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The wait staff was attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was superb

By Dribar |

We stayed at the hotel and went down for breakfast. Most excellent omelet and sweet potato waffles. It was convenient but ended up being great food and service. We spent $46 but ate a lot for two people.

Great time - again!

By phanson3286 |

Visited Apron for the second time for a business dinner last week. Our server was Agnes, who was awesome! Very engaging, attentive and knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed our conversations with her during the evening. There was live music (a saxophonist) there whilst we ate - he was awesome, just perhaps a bit too loud for the setting if you were sat near the bar area, but we were by the windows so we didn't have to raise our voices. Food was great again - just the right portion sizes and full of flavor and color. All in all, a great experience

Thumbs up for APRON

By JLT36089 |

Our party of six went to Apron for a "birthday dinner," Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Tonaisha waited on us, and did an exceptional job. Overall, we give a "thumbs up" for the SALADS, MAINS (entrees), and DESSERTS. We ordered three striploins, and veal osso bucco, lamb loin, and prestige farms chicken -- all were delicious (despite all of the striploins needing additional cooking). We were accommodated very well from the beginning to the end of our meal, including a special birthday recognition. We commend Tonaisha for her knowledge of the food items, and her very engaging way of handling everything that we needed. All six of us agree that we'd like return visits, and would recommend Apron to others. It was quite enjoyable!

Racist Establishment

By Yolanda754 |

After witnessing how an African American party was treated, I would never step foot into this location. Another woman who not African American set in a reserved area, and instead of the manager intervening and having the unwelcomed woman move, the manager put the African American party out. This is ridiculous and should not be tolerated.

On the low end of expectation

By Barbara N |

My expectation for a hotel restaurant is not terribly high but this one managed to not measure up even to that low bar. First we waited for a very long time (about 20 minutes) for drinks. We finally suggested to the server that she get our drinks and then take the food orders. Next, after another long wait, our food began to arrive. However, we were not served together and my husband's entree arrived right after he told the server to never mind because others in our group were finishing up their meal (Mgmt did take it off the bill) . Two in our group were served entrees they had not ordered. When the server was asked why this happened she said they were out of what was ordered so a substitution was made. How does this happen without asking the diner? (one was sent back and mgmt did take off the bill) Finally- some of this might have been over looked if the food measured up- it didn't. In particular (speaking directly to what I ordered): do not order the crab cakes which are dry and tasteless or the Caesar salad that was bland at best.

A+ Food and Service

Delicious Breakfast and Dinner! Eggs Benedict, Omelet, Coffee, Fresh made Pasta (in house), Calamari, Crab Cakes, Veal, Chicken.....no complaints here! Everything was fresh and amazing!

Simply awful

By Justin M |

Let’s start with the details. We had a reservation for a party of 15 for my mother’s birthday with more than a week’s notice. 45 mins into the visit patrons were still waiting on drinks. Management did deliver extra drinks to compensate for the long delivery times. Food was ordered and it took an extremely long amount of time for delivery. At $32 you should be able to count that the steak would be cooked appropriately. Medium well was well done, medium rare was border line medium. The potatoes at $7 tasted more like an instant brand. I honestly believe we would’ve come out much better at LongHorn or Texas Roadhouse. This place should do much better with the location and prices they charge. Sad.

Amazing Experience

By Shannon H |

My colleagues and I enjoyed an wonderful work dinner at Apron. We had one of the best servers I have ever encountered at a dining establishment. Agnes was extremely welcoming, friendly and outgoing. She had us laughing the whole evening. She was extremely knowledgeable of the food and drink menu and made great recommendations which we all thoroughly enjoyed! She made our experience extremely memorable and I would definitely go back. The atmosphere was visually appealing and inviting. The food was good from the appetizers to the main entrees, but the highlight was the professional and friendly service of our server, Ms. Agnes! I am looking forward to returning for another non work event and hopefully I'll get MS. Agnes again. She is an awesome asset and I truly hope that she is recognized for how amazing of an experience she creates for her guests!

Great food and service!

By gemini4life |

At first we were somewhat skeptical about eating at a hotel’s restaurant as usually it’s a hit or miss, however Apron did not disappoint. We had the burger and the NY steak, both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Desserts (the chocolate tart and olive oil cake) were very tasty. Drinks were also on point. The highlight to our dinner was our waitress, Agnes. Very skilled in her job and has a witty sense of humor. Thanks for a great dinner and fun time.

Very Nice Restaurant and Great Staff

By Dale M |

We stayed at Solis hotel due to our flight being cancelled because of snow. It was great that we didn't need to leave the hotel for dinner. The food was very good. I had the N.Y. Striploin and my wife had the Osso Bucco. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Osso Bucco was tasty. They have a great drink menu and wine list.

Gluten free foodie

By Jacqueline B |

I only had breakfast here the two mornings we were at Solis, but the chefs were knowledgeable about gluten intolerance. They were able to offer me a nice selection of gluten free options for breakfast and even made me a stack of large gluten free pancakes one morning. The first morning, I had the 3 egg omelet with bacon and hash browns, which ended up being the best breakfast I'd had in years. It's not exactly cheap to eat here, but the omelet breakfast was worth every penny! :D
