Breakfast!

By Gib C |

Super friendly wait staff. Good salmon omelette. Starbucks flowing of course. Very nice way to start the day. Clean and prompt service for an airport hotel restaurant!

Better than hotel food

By HRHofPA |

My dinner was marvelous, linguine with clams. I thought I was at a Seattle seafood resturant with over a pound a clams on my platter. Very delicious.

A pleasant eatery with flexibility

By The_Old_Bill |

I was staying at the Marriott and decided to get something fairly light for dinner, as I had arrived about 7:30 pm. My server was quietly efficient, as were the other staff. I had pork chops, which were well prepared and nicely accompanied with vegetables and very nice mashed potatoes. It was all I needed and I slept well afterwards. At the next table were a small group who were customizing their orders. The server was flexible and accommodating, within the limits of what was possible, but he certainly seemed to be able to get them meals that they enjoyed.

GREAT FOOD!! GREAT STAFF!!!

Tasty Dinner & Drinks

By fiamma11 |

One could not sit inside the Aqua Terra restaurant when we were there; however, their food is served in their lobby bar. Honestly, the food was very good, surprisingly so in fact. We were only there for one night and didn't want to bother with going out and about. In the end, we were very happy we stayed in the hotel. The salmon was delicious.

Excellent food and service

By hardtofindagoodhotel |

Excellent food and service in the bar. The bar section had the same food and the service was excellent. Bouillabaisse, onion soup, shrimp quesadillas, huge chocolate cake were all excellent.

Food and service both exceptional

By Deb S |

Pork chop was recommended by server, Roy, and was worthy of a 5-star restaurant. Halibut was also. Roy went out of his way to deliver our desserts 2 hrs. later to our room, complete with candles for our 40th anniversary.

Good food; very good service

By DRLand |

Had dinner and breakfast on a recent overnight stay between flights. Both servers were excellent. The food was better than your average hotel restaurant. I ate dinner in the lounge. You can order off the restaurant menu or the bar menu. Linguine with clams was very good. If you like smoked salmon for breakfast, try theirs. Some of the best smoked salmon I've had.

Nice Lunch Alternative

By Jim R |

Good lunch menu with several options.i opted for a Reuben which came on pretzel bread and was delicious. Service was good. Five of us ate for $100.00.

Nice atmosphere.

By Herbal-Gypsy |

Well prepared food and great ambiance whether for a quick bite or lingering over drinks with friends. The breakfast buffet is well appointed. The chef is willing to make egg white scrambles fresh if you need to watch your cholesterol.

Good Breakfast

By chrissmaz |

The breakfast bar and the off the menu orders we made were all good. It seemed pricey, but overall Seattle is a pricey market.

Great Hotel Restaurant!

By JoAnn S |

What a surprise to find this little gem of a place to eat. Having arrived around dinner time, leaving early the next morning, we just wanted something simple and handy for dinner. This far surpassed expectations of a ho-hum meal. Food was fresh and well prepared. My husband and I shared the open face crab melt (on advice from waitress) and it was delicious. It came with a nice side salad that had mixed fresh greens (not iceberg lettuce) and a light dressing. The waitress was friendly and efficient and offered good suggestions. Breakfast the next day offered a variety of choices, including the cold buffet that featured strawberries and plain yogurt, which is what I chose, as well as just about anything else you would like, It was our observation this tends to be a cruise hotel as lots of kids and families in the morning.

We checked in and immediately

By Jedimasterkush |

We checked in and immediately went to the bar after dropping off our bags. The restaurant opens at five but you can order off the same menu and still stay in the bar area if you choose. On this day there was a wedding going on on the first floor down below us so we chose to enjoy our dinner and watch the young couple say their vows. We enjoyed the crabcakes, deconstructed buffalo wings, market salad with blackened shrimp, antipasto flatbread pizza and the Apple pie à la mode for dessert. All of the food was really good. The next morning we came down to breakfast and you have the option of a somewhat decent buffet or ordering off the menu. This is not a place I would’ve come to just to eat but because I was staying the night at the hotel we were both totally satisfied and it kept up with the standards of all Marriott hotels and their accompanying restaurants. The waiter was very nice also but I think he was a little overwhelmed a couple times we didn’t see him for a good amount of time but he got the job done. By the way the drinks at the bar were top notch.

Wonderful Sea Food

By RiverCajun |

Outstanding restaurant downtown Seattle. Across from a number of hotels. Great place to meet for couples, friends, business. Food is really well prepared and very fresh sea food. Staff was professional and efficient. Great food at a resonable (for Seattle) price.

The food & presentation was very nice

By JasonfromTacoma |

My family (wife, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, 3 year old and 1 1/2 year old) ate there for dinner. We must have caught the restaurant on an off night because the waiter, Roy, was rarely in the dinning room. He may have had a group in a back room he was taking care of. The maitre'd James was very friendly and professional. He was obviously experienced. Tatyana was the person who would bring us silverware, fill our water glasses and bring a basket of bread. Because we had two small children we were a little high maintenance and Tatyana repeatedly reminded me that she was not our server and to ask the server (for refill on diet pepsi, etcl). The problem was that Roy was harried and rarely around. James the maitre'd stepped in and brought us little things with graciousness. I did ask Tatyana for a "brand new bottle of ketchup" because it was obvious that the restaurant refilled their bottles even though it says "do not refill" on them and they smelled like ketchup that is refilled and get vinegary. Shirley who appeared to be some sort of manager brought me a new bottle, opened it in my presence and did not comment one way or the other. The dinner menu was priced for business people and not for families, but we were offered the lunch menu which was fine. The food was good and the presentation was top notch. It did take 45 minutes from seating to the food arriving. Normally, I don't care, but the little ones were getting restless. After the manager "Drew" read my review on the regular Marriott site, he was apologetic and offered a free dinner was was gracious. This is a good restaurant and we probably caught them on an off night. I would recommend it and as I said, the food was good and the presentation was excellent. I am sure the service issues will work themselves out.

Awesome pre-flight restaurant

By fritztc |

The Marriott hosts the Hertz rental plus a free airport shuttle. I had three hours before my red-eye flight and chose this restaurant after returning my car. James, the manager, makes a point to warmly and graciously greet each guest. I wish I knew the name of the other manager who made my stay so welcome. He recommended a bourbon flight to sip and savor while I waited, and also gave me invaluable information on the area. I had an attentive waiter, delicious sourdough bread, and butternut squash ravioli in browned butter. Yeah, a meal to remember. With a bit more travel budget, I would have loved to stay at the Marriott. I used to work at one in Illinois back in the 70s. It's so nice to see that this chain has upheld its standards. Every employee approached and welcomed me to the property.

Quick light meal

By Joseph D |

A very well made shrimp Quesadilla. Delicious. Just right for a simple light meal before a late night turn in.

Love their Breakfast Buffet

By MARTHA H |

Eggs Benedict anyone? Yum! Order extra sauce on the side. Made to order Omelets & bacon that is perfectly cooked. Love the private dining room for family gatherings &/or game day.

Solid option inside the Marriott Seatac Airport

By Donald D |

This is a typical Marriott dining option. Not over the top, but very serviceable. We had dinner one night and the food was great. The Marriott Burger was great, the french fries interesting with the seasoning. Cobb salad was decent the kids size meals were of good portions. Service was outstanding and time in and out was less than an hour.

Great Dinner

By Sandro |

My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant dinner at Aqua Terra with friends who were staying overnight near SeaTac. We wanted something close to the airport and stumbled upon reviews that spoke highly of their food. The fact that this is a hotel restaurant gave us reason to pause but we decided to go with the reviews and give it a try. The parking is gated and you get a ticket upon entry that the restaurant will validate. Validation is only for three hours so, if you're spending an evening with friends, be prepared to pay a little for parking. I think ours ended up costing us a couple dollars. No biggie. We had reservations and our party was seated upon arrival. The next four+ hours was a pleasant evening of wine, appetizers, dinner and great company. Our intention was to spend the evening together and the staff obliged us. We weren't hurried at all and had a great time. Some of us had steak while others had fish. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Great food/Fantastic service

By SDHancock |

Can not say enough great things about the service and friendly staff. A++. We spent 2 days at the hotel for a conference and had breakfast/lunch/dinner at Aqua Terra. Food was great. Staff was amazing - friendly, responsive, fast, helpful. Fresh omlets in the morning cooked to order were delicious, and price was reasonable.

Quick Service

By Chris-YVR |

Came down from room to eat at about 8 p.m. Plenty of seating available, host wore too much eau de cologne, servers attentive. Food was delivered quickly but not too fast as to rush us - server kept an eye out for when we finished first course. The food was excellent as was the menu selection - Pacific North West - American cuisine.

EXCELLENT BREAKFAST BUFFET

By Gary C |

This is the restaurant inside the Airport Marriott where we enjoyed the breakfast buffet (21). It is well appointed with all of the breakfast standards and an omelet station that has some creative suggestions that are interesting. We were promptly seated and the omelets were cooked to perfection. They placed a pot of coffee on the table along with a carafe of orange juice that were both very good. My brothers have enjoyed this for the past 6 years and I am glad I was able to enjoy it this year with them. If they had some smoked fish, some cold cuts or some cheeses on the buffet I would have rated it 5 stars.

Exceptional Hotel Restaurant

By Jeff P |

Wait staff is stellar at making guests feed genuinely welcome and appreciated. As our first night in the Northwest, the opportunity to try local seafood was initiated with their salmon. Other choices were tempting but this together with a light wine was just great. Not sure why they had to esteem their recycling efforts, however, when their mission is meals and they do it so well!

Nice atmosphere, reallllly pricey

By Stephen F Fowler |

Food was nicely delivered.... breakfast buffet excellent. Make sure you prepare yourself for the sticker. Appreciated the discount for senior citizen party of four for the breakfast buffet. Well done.

Pretty good food, slow service

By Rachael F |

We went with a group of 18 and had to be split up, no big deal. We had a separate waiter at each table, which you think would help, but service was soooo slow. We got one refill the entire meal. The calamari was good but was not a lot for $16. Between the table, we all got the Marriott burger or the Kobe burger. Both were excellent. The sweet potato fries were amazing. I’ll admit. I was skeptical of a hotel restaurant, but if you are here and don’t want to uber or drive to another restaurant, it’s well worth it!

Nothing special; eat here only if you must

By VirginiaGeorgia |

Granted expectations are rarely high for a hotel restaurant near an airport but hope springs eternal I guess. . . the maître d' was rude and inefficient (kept us waiting while he visited with another employee); stingy with menus (the dining room was barely half full on a Friday night at 7); gave us two menus; when we asked for menus for girls ages 10 and 12 and well dressed he said "Oh? they need menus?" and went back to get two more. The tuna and hummus appetizers were good but nothing special as was the clam chowder. Service was very slow with no explanation or apology. When the food did arrive the waiter left the covers on the plates and did not check back with us for a long time. ONLY if I were staying again at that hotel would I eat there again. And as others have mentioned, it is very expensive.

Good Quality Food, Prompt Service

By travelinpdx |

As many have said, this is a typical full service hotel restaurant. Its a bit higher priced than I think it should be. I ate breakfast here two days in a row. Once getting the buffet and once getting things directly off the menu. I did appreciate the quality and variety of items. I know there is a cost to that above typical food vendors. Because of our conference, we had shared tables that made it nice to get to know fellow conference goers. The 2nd night, we went to another off-site restaurant to save money and get a different variety.

Great Breakfast Menu!

By Ron R |

I had a wonderful breakfast -- the Pike's Scramble -- eggs, mushrooms, crumbled sausage and more. A nice change from an omelet or two eggs over medium!

Solid

By ProfAragon |

Aqua Terra can get really busy, but the service is consistent. I had light eats last night and had good service. There is lots of seating, too.

Good food, great service

By ScrapChickTampa_FL |

Very good restaurant for an "airport hotel". Ambience is modern and airy. The selection on the dinner menu was a little limited, but when my daughter couldn’t find what she’d hoped for, the manager brought her a lunch menu to order from. Great service. All in all our food was very good. A pleasant experience.

Nice shrimp cocktail!

By Ron L |

There is no difference in the menu whether you eat in the lounge area or the restaurant - it's all the same. That being said I found that the shrimp cocktail is served with five huge prawns and some decent spicy sauce. I ate that several time during the week along with a nice roasted beet salad. Plenty of food, good service. BUT, the seats in the restaurant are worn and ripped. The place needs a renovation. Hope it happens soon.

Great breakfast!

By tatts15 |

Stopped by for a nice breakfast prior to my flight out of SeaTac. Thought it would be preferable to any of the airport offerings - and it was. Have a lovely buffet but chose to order from the menu. From friendly greeting at the door to Donna's wonderful service, I enjoyed my visit. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Attentive service. Lovely setting. Highly recommend.

Good food and service

By RickTambosi |

A breakfast up to Marriott standards. Room Service also very efficient with good options, such as crab cake burguer!

Beautiful dishes, great service

By BeenerC |

We enjoyed 2 breakfasts and a supper at this hotel eatery. The desserts were huge and beautiful. We chose a selection of appetizers rather than a meal, as they all sounded so good! This ended up being an excellent value and we enjoyed the variety. The breakfast buffets were huge and well stocked. I enjoyed the omelet station with smoked salmon and other west coast ingredients. The manager seemed to live at the restaurant, he welcomed us at all our meals and was still there when we got in late after a ball game. All the serving staff was pleasant and efficient.

Let down!

By carolineSeattle |

We have been going there about once a year (on business) and our latest experience was less than satisfying. I regret to say my dish was mediocre at best. Our assigned server was curt and at times downright rude. I feel terribly sorry for our hostess who kept apologizing to the entire table for the experience. Maybe we were on a night off for them?

Good Meal in Overly Bright Restaurant

By George K |

The Dining Room is just too modern for me with bright colours and lighting also a little too bright. Seating is not that comfortable for my liking. Service though was very good and I enjoyed my Seafood Pasta with a glass of nice Rose. Overall I would rate the restaurant as very good.

Excellent Salmon !

By Elvis4vr |

we just got off a cruise and had plenty of fish, but I wanted more. Their Salmon was excellent. Great service by staff.

Well-paced, relaxed meal starting with cocktails

By M H |

Conveniently located off the lobby of the huge hotel, we found the service and food very good on the lat June Sunday night we were staying at the hotel. We were able to snag a table without a reservation at 6:30 PM and served pre-dinner cocktails in short order. Our waiter paced our meal nicely and waited to put in our salad and then dinner order until we were halfway finished with our cocktails. My salmon fillet with risotto and vegetables were nicely prepared and my husband very much enjoyed his filet mignon entree. Our waiter suggested we share a Caesar salad since portion sizes were big and this was a great suggestion- perfectly sized for two dinner salads. The Romain leaves were crisp and the Parmesan cheese, dressing, and croutons weren’t so overwhelming as to take over the greens as is sometimes the case. For an airport hotel restaurant, this one is a cut above.

Average high-end restaurant

By bwanderer |

Located in the interior of the hotel, most of the seats do not have a view of the relaxing atrium and pool down below, even the seats that are adjacent to it. The service here was better than expected, the prices on the high side, which is typical for this kind of restaurant. However, at least some of the breakfasts included one's beverage, which narrowed the margin a big. And, the food was good and of ample quantity. There is also a buffet breakfast available, but we didn't try that. The flow was also good, that is, there wasn't a lot of waiting in-between getting greeted, getting your order taken, aving your food delivered, getting your check, and making your payment. The advantages of eating at this restaurant are that you don't have to drive anywhere (and use the in/out for the paid parking) and you can charge the bill to your room. On the other hand, if you feel like something else, a diner is within walking distance, as is the light rail station (that can take you to others).

Worth a visit if you're near SEA-TAC airport

By wolfeskin |

We were recently staying overnight in Seattle awaiting our return flight home and needed a respectable place to eat dinner. Aqua Terra certainly fit the bill. The service was friendly, the dining area comfortable and the food was very good. We had the artichoke appetizer and the heirloom tomato and avocado salad. Both were fresh and tasty. The artichoke, in particular, was roasted perfectly, and delicious and we do not find many restaurants that will roast a whole large artichoke--yummy!! We split the halibut which was served over mashed potatoes and topped with arugula--a nice presentation and the flavors were excellent. The prices were acceptable, so combining the service, cost, and food preparation and presentation, we give it two thumbs up! For those who heard that Anthony's in the airport was good, we didn't think so. So leave the airport and go a couple of streets away on 176th street to Aqua Terra--it is quieter, more relaxing, and the food is so much better.

Breakfast

By ste363 |

The buffet was kind of expansive if I have to pay. However, it was included with the Museum of Flight package, which was why I was there at the first place. I like the ambient of the restaurant and the service was good. I only tried a little bit as I was supposed to go to have brunch at the Ivars Salmon House the same day. I only have my favorite - waffle as well as some fruit. I could not comment much on the food there as I really did not have much but I really do like the ambient and service there.

Good food, Great Service

By John_Go_Bucs |

Out of convenience we ate at Aqua Terra and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and generous portions of the food. It probably had the best kids meal I've ever seen at a restaurant, I could have eaten it and totally enjoyed it.

Fine dining near the Airport

By Dave L |

Great pork tenderloin, well prepared with vegetables done just right, quiet setting with a waiter close by but not intrusive

Excellent meal, great service!

By carol o |

My family had something to celebrate, so went to our favorite close-to-home restaurant. We've never been disappointed here! Consistently great food and the menu includes tasty choices for those eating on the lower end of the food chain. My son's steak was cooked to perfection, and the panko-crusted halibut was amazing! Add to that warm and friendly serving staff -- meals at Aqua Terra always feels like an occasion!

Great breakfast

By 933lelandt |

One night stay at the Marriott. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise. Had the omelette freshly prepared and it was very good. Cooked just right with all the ingredients I like. The lady running the station was very pleasant and super cheerful first thing in the morning. Entire restaurant staff was very pleasant as well. You can’t go wrong here.

not matching the rate

By Rica S |

its below my expectation based on the rating here. The bread served was cold and I asked for a medium cooked steak but it comes out overcooked. Pasta and burgers are ok. the place doesnt match its price.

Expensive but worth it.

By fopcookbook |

Had dinner here with the kids and everyone found something on the menu. You can order off the dinner or ask for the lunch/bar menu. Service was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed dinner so much we invited my sister to join us for lunch the next day who lives nearby and she said she will be going back and bringing her husband. Lunch the next day was just as good if not better than dinner. Try this place even if you aren't staying here, you will not be disappointed.

Idiot staff and management

By marsuki |

My family was planning to eat here on Mother's Day. My Dad called to find out about what would be available. We arrived at the hotel at 2 pm and were surprised to find everything closed up. The buffet was already over! They did not inform my father of the closing time when he called, and besides that, who closes a buffet that early on Mother's Day?? I complained to a staff member and to the manager, who were apologetic, but they didn't offer us anything to recompense us. I definitely won't be returning here for any reason, and I will also be complaining to Marriott headquarters.

Dissappointing

By Lawrence D |

I read the reviews and expected something special afterall they claim to be focused on fresh, farm to table cuisine. You have question whether a hotel restaurant can creat farm fresh cusine. So I was skeptical but believed. To be honest the service was exceptional and one of our guests really enjoyed the wild Planked Salmon but that is were the praise ends. Thd halibut was over cooked and the cioppino was pedestrian. The condition of the halibut was like you would experience if the fish had been frozen. Add all that with an over priced and limited wine list and you can see why I was so un satisfied with this experience. .

Breakfast Buffet

By J C |

Service was good, though I noticed on more the one occasion patrons needed to initiate contact with staff to obtain follow up service to the table. The buffet was priced well and the menu selection was on par with similar restaurants. We enjoyed our food and in particular appreciated the friendly service of the young chef who prepared the omelettes. He engaged in conversation while we waited which was a nice. Overall, really good value for the meal and nice area to dine.

Very good food & bearable prices in a hotel restaurant

By None of Your Biz |

The food is very good (the calamari are an eye-opening fresh variation on an old theme ;-) Service is great (I had feared posh waiters, but it's efficient and down to earth ;-) Ambiance is lacking a bit, maybe that's due to the fact that the temperature at my window table required the sweater that I was not wearing. (yes, feel free to turn the heat up). Overall: the levels of service and food will bring me back here ;-)

Happy Tummy

By Kwldtrvlr |

You get a little bit of everything were they have the bar and restaurant situated. Both are off of a nice lobby with a great fireplace area. Food and service were both very good. All around great staff.

Conference

By Tammie C |

Excellent menu selections for both lunch and dinner. Breakfast has choice of breakfast bar. Great staff!

Weekend in Seattle

By Peter S |

Great service good menu and nice place to be. The breakfast is excellent and the omlette cook is very good.

Expensive, but nice, convenient and tasty food

By StephV44 |

Conveniently located in the SeaTac Marriott, the restaurant may be expensive, but the food was really good with good size portions, it was clean and the staff was really nice and attentive. The breakfast offers a buffet where drinks are included. If you are getting more than a bagel and water, it would be advantageous to choose the buffet for $21, because a drink, by itself, is $4. We had the opportunity to eat lunch and dinners there, as well. We preferred to dine here over the Marriott's bar section of the hotel. There were more choices and service was much better. Don't expect to use your internet on your phone or computer, though. Service drops to practically nothing as soon as you are in the seated area.

Cold beer and great bar food

By Tim S |

The bar is in the open lobby area but feels like it's own little intimate area. Service was excellent, the bartenders were friendly and helpful. The bar menu was a cut above most bar menus with a little bit of inventiveness added in. The food was quite tasty.

Odd seating

By fpgirl |

We were staying at the hotel & didn't want to eat in the bar so we had dinner here. The restaurant had just opened so there were plenty of empty tables. We were seated at a 2-top....when our waiter approached he noticed we hadn't been given any water...that was rectified. As I said, there were several empty tables but a couple was seated at the table that was a little more than arms length away from ours....made conversation a little awkward... Food was a little slow on delivery - not sure why but it was adequate. Don't remember the cost for sure - thinking around $45 for a burger & a salad, no drinks. It's convenient but I don't think we'd eat there again.

Haute Cuisine

By JKHuddy |

Normally I avoid Marriott restaurants because they tend to be expensive and "cookie cutter". This was different. While not economy dining, it was reasonably priced for the level of cuisine and service. I would recommend, particularly since the options in the immediate neighborhood were limited.

A Hotel Restaurant Worth the Patronage

By James Q |

This is the restaurant inside of the Seattle Airport Marriott. Not a lot of restaurant choices in this area (a lone 7-11 store sits across the street with dessicated hot dogs) -- only a steakhouse in the adjacent Hilton is within walking distance. Some hotels might take advantage of this and serve lackluster food (I have been "trapped" in these airport hellholes). Aqua Terra is a notable exception -- really good (and often creative) food at reasonable prices. My favorites -- the Pike Scramble (breakfast) and the Oregonzola Burger.

Good food

By Susan E |

Got the soup and sandwich combo. Our waiter also worked the bar and was very personable and friendly.

Left a bad taste!

By NEEBAH |

Aqua Terra - this is the Marriott restaurant that they rave so much about! Probably just not my lucky day!! I got seated very swiftly and professionally as the host was very nice but that's about it. The table I got seated at was not cleaned probably as it had oil all over it and I discovered this as I picked up my wallet and glass cover from the table where I had placed it and it was soaking in oil. They then cleaned this up for me - so they don't really clean up too well after guests as the server told me the guest before me had some oil with his bread and must have spilled it!!!! Seriously?!? Aren't you supposed to clean up after every guest? Anyways, I ordered a glass of wine, soup and an entrée. The order they were served in: soup first, then came the wine and before I was barely half way through my soup came the entrée! I said that was too quick and the server went 'oh it's seared so does not take too long to cook'!!! Surely as a server at a restaurant you would know it's common courtesy to wait for the starter to finish?? Perhaps they do it differently at this Marriott? Bottom line not impressed with the attention, cleanliness and service. However I have to say that the crab chowder and the ahi tuna tasted very good - eat here if you don't care much about service! For all the inconvenience caused and ruining my wallet and case - they did not even have the courtesy to offer me a complimentary drink - let alone a sincere apology! Awful customer service.

Comfortable Respite with Delicious Food

By Sue R |

Aqua Terra provides a convenient respite for hungry and tired air travelers who are staying at the Sea-Tac Marriott. I enjoyed excellent service and delicious food. Aqua Terra included a fresh "catch of the day" which is appreciated for its guests who enjoy local sea food.

Few meals between flights

By kojowakizbi |

Firstly the staff was fantastic, really thoughtful for my child that was traveling with us. Went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and made sure his food was quickly delivered and good for him. The waiters were very friendly and made sure that everything was in top shape. The food was good, very normal for an airport hotel. Big portions and tasted nice. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there so we had a little taste of everything. The Caesar Salad was very good and the chicken was excellently grilled, very impressed. Great staff, quick service, very communicative. Thanks.

Good food, a bit expensive with spotty service

By AKDan |

We had dinner and breakfast at this restaurant while staying at the hotel for a few days. The food was generally very good - our dinner was excellent and our breakfast good. The only concerning thing to watch out for is the service - dinner was great but both of our breakfast meals had spotty service, with one day being particularly disappointing. On that day I had to wait over 20 minutes to get any attention to get a check, and that was not eating the buffet! I would recommend it, but it is a hotel restaurant with higher prices. For dinner, I had an excellent linguini while my wife had a steak that she raved about! The check, without drinks, was about $85.

Visiting old friends in Seattle area.

By Bob B |

Friendly and accomodating staff. We had a family group of 11 people and they put us in a private room justb off the restaurant. This made visiting easier.

Wow Good

By RoadDirt |

After a stress free flight, I was prepared to search for the perfect dining experience. Hotel is beautiful. After searching the top 3,468 restaurants I was exhausted. Reviewed the menu and this place had everything I had been wanting for dinner. On a Saturday night not long line. From the first welcome hello it was nothing but wonderful. Market salad was large enough to share and the filet minion was cooked to perfection and butter soft. Best steak I've had in years, perfectly cooked. Waiter Phillip was spot on with service. Cream brûlée was beyond amazing, I'm all about vanilla and this was a perfect end to a flawless meal. Easy commute to my room on the 9th floor. Go and enjoy. Oxox

Hotel food that is very good

By Barbi L |

We were pleasantly surprised by the food and service here. A late night dinner at an airport hotel where we were staying. We had the cedar planked salmon and a New York strip - both cooked perfectly - very tasty. The wine list is ok - you can find what you want. The service was great - friendly and smiling - all in all a nice experience.

Good food/service

By DocKathleen |

As hotel restaurants go, this is great. The food is fresh and tasted good. There are adequate choices for choosy eaters. The service is friendly.

Nice decor, decent food for a hotel restaurant

By travchef |

The wait staff was very nice. The food was average, and fairly pricey. Nice wine list. A good option for a late night dinner/arrival if you don't want to leave the premises.

In Hotel convienent

By Suziq614 |

Service was excellent. When we said we wanted to share the crab chowder we were pleasantly surprised to have it served in two smaller bowls. It was thick, hot and tasty! The burgers and sweet potato fries were excellent, though on the high side at $16,$18. Our waiter was wonderful and gave us a take away cup of iced tea and bananas and snack bars for breakfast when he heard we had to catch the shuttle to the airport before the hotel snack bar opened. Outstanding!

Hotel Restaurant with Excellent Food

By William M |

Usually, the food fare at the hotel restaurant is mundane at best and usually quite tasteless. Well, you're in for a very pleasant surprise here. The food was excellent, good size portions and excellent in taste and preparation. The price was a little above average, but after tasting what we got, it was well worth the few extra dollars...

Delicious food and drinks! The service was astounding and setting was classy and modern. Will definitely be going there in the future and highly recommend.

really improved

By Ghostrider5408 |

as I said in my hotel review in the 20 some years I have been staying here this is the best food and service I have experienced. Food is well prepared, fresh and served hot

We tried to have dinner there this past Friday (July 12). We arrived at a bit after 8 pm. The first sugn if trouble was when they sat my (elementary school-aged) kids and I at a table with tall chairs despite having space in the main dining area and an empty booth nearby. Next we waited 20 minutes to get water from fhe grumpy wait person. We waited ten or fifteen more to place our order. After waiting at the half empty restaurant for another half hour - while no one checked in us - we left. So can't vouch for the food and don't recommend.

Great breakfast buffet

By rc3 |

Don't miss out on the great buffet breakfast at the Marriott. A vast array of food with made to order omelets. Service was warm and efficient .

Food was not good

By bentleythebloodhound |

The reviews for this restaurant were really good. However ours was not. We had the crab melt which tasted like old crab and the turkey Rueben was lacking any flavor whatsoever. However their sweet potato fries were good. Service was not so great. Our waitress asked if we wanted some "grub!" Cost was spendy, almost $100 for two people, not worth it at all.

Thanksgiving Buffet

By Ben There |

Déjà vu all over again, as this is our groups 4th year for Thanksgiving Buffet. We are seniors so come back for the great time, good value, and we do not eat a lot, but a little of all the choices. My favorites are always the salmon, this year the roasted peppered salmon, two kinds of cold smoked were excellent. Of course the turkey (thigh meat is so moist and flavorful) and roasted beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, the traditionals etc. They were ready for us at reservation time and the atmosphere was peaceful and pleasant, and no dishes. This year we missed sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts and we hope they would do the room of dessert again or at least more chocolate choices. Oh yes, we vote you bringing the harpist back. And please forget the carrots and green beans. Chef Neighbor was not there but the food quality was still good. Valori said it would be as good as last year and James, a familiar face was glad to see us and Peggy our server and her coworkers kept the sparkling cava coming. Starting planning next year because we planning on being back.

Good food

Had a good dinner with the pork chop accompanied by peach marmelade, mashed potatoes and vegetables. For desert had vanilla ice cream topped with fresh berries. A good homemade meal well done.

Don't overlook!

Nice, quiet atmosphere; perfect wait staff. Try the cedar plank wild salmon, very good. The wedge salad tasty, and great bread basket. Enjoyed a glass of very good wine.

Seattle Shuffle

They had a good menu with great food. The dining room was quite which is a real plus for us...quiet dining

One of the best hotel means ever

By Barry Moltz |

Great and unusual items like artichoke hearts on the menu. My halibut was amazing! Highly recommend.

Low Key Lunch

By TheBuckhous |

The service was good but the quality of the food does not justify the price. Granted, I only had lunch and grabbed a burger here out of convenience so I didn't have to venture out in the bung-hole that is SeaTac. The burger was totally forgettable and about as good as most average underwhelming burgers I've had at dingy diners out in the middle of nowhere. My wife had soup and half a sandwich and the soup looked like Amy's mushroom soup in a can with parsley sprinkled on top. In all we spent over $50 on a $20 lunch and would have gotten the same quality from left-over pizza if the hotel room had fridge.

Awesome Crab Chowder

By Mike D |

When coming to the Pacific NW, I want the taste of the waters. Without having to go down to the waterfront, this chowder was excellent. Pair it with a Mac & Jack's amber. Matt the bartender was very personable

Great Place To Eat at The Seattle Marriott

This was a great place to grab a bite to eat when I stayed at the Marriott near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Great service and the waitstaff is great.

My Faith in Holiday Buffets Has Been Restored!

By Greg F |

At first glance the selection on the buffet table looked sparse. But upon closer inspection everything needed for a wonderful Christmas dinner was there. The salad table was very fresh but this is the one area that remained sparse. There were no carrots or cucumbers which I enjoy on my salad. The main course table was excellent. I tried nearly everything on there. The ham was delicious as was the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, seared salmon and probably many things I'm forgetting. I brought my dessert home with me as I was just too full to enjoy it there. As with any meal had out, it wouldn't matter how good the food was if the service didn't match. All the staff members I encountered score high marks in this respect. Starting with the hotel doorman, the hostess, the host who seated us and of course the waitress that attended us. This will become my regular holiday destination. (I hate cleaning my own kitchen after a big dinner)

Great until the new shift comes on

This is a terrific place until the folks who could care less come to work and focus on the tv not working. I sat for an hour sipping a nice glass of wine with NOT a Soul focusing on me or any other customers! Crazy.

Good, locally-sourced food

By Athena53 |

We enjoyed breakfast at Aqua Terra during a stay at the Marriott. Our stay was paid for with a certificate I bought at a substantial discount as part of an incentive program at my employer, and included breakfast. The restaurant is light, airy and quiet. We were there on a Wednesday morning around 9 and were the only people in the restaurant. The offerings were typical of a high-quality hotel breakfast buffet- omelets cooked to order, fresh fruit, oatmeal, etc. What I appreciated was that much of the food on the buffet had cards specifying the source. The butter, jam and the steel-cut oats, for example, were all from local producers. The waitress was cordial and helpful, even bringing over cardboard cups with lids so we could take what was left in the coffee carafe with us. The posted price was a bit of a shock- $46 for the 2 of us. As I mentioned, our breakfast was included in the discounted package I'd bought. We would not have paid that much out of our pockets; we just don't eat that much food. If you're on an expense account or it's otherwise included in your room rate, go for it. I regretted the fact that we were unable to enjoy another breakfast when we returned for a night at the end of our trip to Alaska; we had a 6:20 AM flight!

Excellent Lunch

Here for two business lunches with ten people. Everyone's food looked very, very good. The burgers and fries are wonderful. The Cobb salad was also very, very good. Highly recommended. There is a private dinning room for a good productive business lunch.

Best Shrimp Quesadillas and Excellent Bar service

By Rick8469 |

We we're in last night after a long trip. I also am not normally a Marriott fan either but the staff last night we're excellent. My wife had the Sausage Rigatoni and the sauce was watery-thin .We shared the Shrimp Quesadillas and they were superb. Very crunchy and you could taste the fresh ingredients, cilantro, salsa, etc.. We also did the Flat Breads and both guys from the bar to the table around 9pm were on it fast.

Crab and beer

By Charles C |

I've eaten here at least 10 times, but I almost always get the crab melt because it is delicious. I also recommend the crab chowder. They also have a good selection of beer on tap, as well as wine.

Great crab chowder.

By 170bradr |

There are two reasons to change planes in Seattle. The crab chowder at the SeaTacMarriott is one of them. Big chunks of crab in screams base. If you are looking for lots of potatoes this is not the chowder for you. Smooth and delicious.

Good burger and good service

By julio6925 |

I stopped in for lunch and ate at the bar. The service was very friendly. I ordered a burger cooked med/med rear. It came well done. I asked for the fries to be well done and they were cooked normal. The burger tasted good so in the end it was fine. The fries also tasted good, I just like them crispy.

Less salt please

By Wrigley the Dog |

Had the ahi tuna with brown rice and sautéed spinach. Rice was like mush. The ahi has a soy based sauce on it that was way too salty. Spinach was salty too. At least the beer selection was good.

Awesome Food and service

By Candace C |

I had steak and the seafood was awesome. Had the spicy clams and it was fabulous. The creme brulee was excellent. All the way around the food and service fantastic.

Closed for lunch

By c c |

Closed for lunch so the only option was the lobby bar. Loud, no privacy, not very comfortable. I would have been more comfortable in a busy bus station.

Disorganized, Unprofessional

By sunkat70 |

Just based on the restaurant service alone I would not stay at this hotel again. I know it was a Saturday night so the place was a little busy, but was it so busy that the host couldn't stand still long enough to take my order? I guess he was doing host, server, and bartender all at the same time though I did see other servers and a separate bartender in the area. Everyone was busy but it seemed no one was in communication with their coworkers. Add to that the fact that I had to give my order 3 times to 2 different people and they still got it wrong. The host/server kept walking away from me as I was giving my order and I had to chase him down to make sure the cook wouldn't make the wrong thing for me, so no wonder he got the order wrong. On top of that they wanted to charge me a 15% service charge for a to go order. Yeah, you read it right. Fifteen percent to come down from my room, place and order to be taken up to my private quarters myself thus saving a bus boy a table to be cleaned or a waiter to bring the order to me. For that I would be charged. This was a Marriot Hotel, a world renown luxury chain in Seattle, not a mom and pop joint in Bumblesville W. Virginia. Is their budget so tight they have to gouge their patrons by applying the same service charge for take out orders as they would for room service? I made a fuss about this and ended up not having to pay this ridiculous fee, but what of others who pay the fee blindly? This is a Marriot for heaven's sake!

Relaxed setting for lunch

By KathieVee |

This is a terrific place initially on this trip. Hopefully as the shift changes, the new shift is as attentive. Last June, it became less so. Crab Bisque is delicious and not “lump crab”.... Renovations seem to be complete for now. So it’s a quiet easy spot to eat at the Seattle Airport Marriott. TV is spirts channeled.

Delicious!

By mshbnyehud |

I certainly wouldn't expect that an airport hotel (Marriott) would necessarily have a really good restaurant, but this SeaTac location certainly fills the bill. Reservations were honored on time (there was substantial availability, and we didn't really need to make a reservation) and we were given our choice of tables. Dan, our superb waiter, appeared shortly thereafter to take drink orders. We enjoyed a substantial pour of Tito's vodka ($9.75), a much better value than wine by the glass, and they were delivered in a minimum amount of time. Dan arranged for a special order of the Market Salad with romaine lettuce only, split between the two of us. The kitchen did a really nice job of presenting separate 1/2 portion salads to each of us, and the portion size was just right. My spouse ordered the cedar planked salmon (fresh wild), a substantial serving which came with a large perfectly baked "loaded" potato and tasty Washington state grilled asparagus. I ordered Northwest Cioppino, a lovely cavalcade of clams, shrimp, halibut and salmon, all swimming delightfully in a light tomato based broth. The dish was accompanied by a couple slices of buttered grilled french bread, which perfectly soaked up the tasty leftover broth. We were stuffed and declined the offer for dessert (ever mindful that we were going to miss the highly touted creme brulee -- oh well, there's always next time). Service throughout was superb, and the kitchen is fast (although we never felt rushed). Overall, this is a pricier dinner than eating off of the bar menu, but we walked away totally satisfied.

Stopover dinner

By bcheong |

Arrived at marriott for a 1 night stopover and this is the hotel restaurant The service is thankfully better than the hotel front desk My caesar and salmon were good

Nice vibe, good food, comfortable surroundings

By Jan J |

This is a nice place with a good menu, good food and service and an overall nice ambience that sometimes hotel bars cannot quite hit.

Nice meal before leaving on trip

By Sunshine50by50 |

Stayed at the hotel before heading out of SeaTac. Had dinner here and pleased with food and service. Califlower steak is a vegetarian dish that is quite tasty. Took a while to find someone to take our money when we were ready to leave.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

By travelgirl93463 |

We had a lovely meal here, conveniently located in the beautiful Seattle Airport Marriott. Taylor was our server and took good care of us. My scallops appetizer was fabulous as was the garden salad with candied walnuts and apple and blue cheese crumbles in a lovely vinaigrette. My husband enjoyed the same salad and had a savory salmon entree. We were completely satisfied!

Excllent menu

Very nice menu for a casual lobby restaurant/bar. Service was outstanding. Bartender was a bit too loud for such a relaxing and beautiful setting.

Good food for an airport hotel

By Susan M |

Three of us had lunch at the Aqua Terra last week. My favorite lunch is a Reuben and the Aqua Terra made a perfect one - not fatty or greasy. Here again I have to ask why restaurants are suddenly serving french fries with tons of salt and pepper on them? Wouldn't it be perfect if a patron just added what they wanted? Interesting to see that an upscale restaurant would have such shabby chairs in their dining area.

Pretty Good

By TrekingNow |

Who would have thought you could find great food in a hotel restaurant...but we did. The salmon and halibut dinners we ordered were fantastic. Our server Vince was very helpful in in assisting us with our choice and his service was excellent,

Professional!

By Douglas F |

This restaurant is worth visiting! The wedge salad was so delicious I nearly ordered a second one in lieu of anything else! Friendly wait staff and manager, they were thoughtful to chat with me as I was dining alone.

DELICIOUS

By LahFam |

I loved the clam chowder. The staff bent over backwards waiting on us. There were more waiters than customers!

Great place for a casual meal

By richm4444 |

Located inside Marriott Seattle Airport, this restaurant is casual and relaxed. A very nice menu with a variety of food and drink options.

Great food, great drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere

By Jaci S |

The bar/restaurant is located in the Marriott Seattle Airport hotel. Nestled right next to the beautiful atrium is an open bar and restaurant that is welcoming and enjoyable. The Primo Margarita was delicious to drink while waiting for the food to arrive. I enjoyed the BBQ chicken flatbread and then a very tasty Creme Brûlée. The bartender who took my order was very friendly and made the experience even better. I will definitely come back here again.

Good Service- go for the burgers. Pricey regular menu

By PtownCraig |

The regular menu prices may scare you away. Try the tasty Kobe or Marriott burgers priced in the teens. We had great service. Struggled with walking down to other choices(not car).

Amazing sea food great service

By Votenochains |

Had an amazing meal here! Started with seared scollop appetizer. Cooked perfect with a side of spinach and salty parmasian cheese sauce that complemented the scollops. I had crab cakes , light with a spicy romoulade and crisp salad. My sister have seared tuna that came with bok choy and coconut rice. She figured out that the key was eating a little of each item with the ginger and it was music. She was impressed with the thoughtfulness of the dish. My mother ordered the halibut which was pan seared with sautéed squash. We finished everything! The cocktail specials were also great. A mango vodka mixed with ice tea and lemon was refreshing and not too sweet. We made a special request for wine and was granted without a bat of the eye. Waiter was fabulous. Though really seemed the only one working on the floor. He was so busy it would of been nice if the hostess was a bit more effective and gave him a hand.

Dinner and Breakfast

We had the crab cakes, seafood pasta, and a big burger with sweet potato fries. Then in the morning the breakfast buffet. All of it very good.

GF/DF Fail

By Rich C |

We splurged on a stay at the Seatac Airport Marriott to avoid driving in a snowstorm. We decided to also splurge on expensive breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant. Mistake. The staff were cheerful and perfectly accommodating to my dietary requests. But the fare that was delivered was substandard even in comparison to free breakfasts at lesser hotels. I requested their advertised "crispy hash browns" be cooked in olive oil rather than butter. What came was undercooked, mushy, previously frozen shredded spuds, no olive oil. The gluten free toast came dry, no butter alternative, and was flavorless. Sausage were ok, standard Jimmy Dean style links. Yes, I'm well aware that I'm asking for special treatment. I wouldn't blink if a lesser establishment had no alternatives to offer me. But when you're paying a premium for lodging and dropping another $20 for breakfast, expectations rise commensurately. If you're going to offer alternatives, raise the bar to the quality of your standard fare. My apologies if the standard is just as bad.
