Good Ramen

By seattlepat2015 |

Small place, always busy. Darn tasty ramen. The noodles were a bit al dente for me, but still good. I'm going back to try their Japanese curry.

Always happy to walk in and happier when walking out.

Food is excellent. Very tasty, no matter what you order. High quality and affordable. It just feels right and not like many other places that are overcharging for not even decent food. I am always very happy to go here. It is our GO-TO ramen place in Seattle because of how good the food is without being overpriced. Extra: The broth of their ramen is excellent and worth a try. They do not have a huge menu, keeping it simple and good. (It's a good thing.) The place is small, and there most likely will be a waiting time if you are going during rush hours.

Good But Not Special

By Tall66 |

Was really excited to try out this new location close to home and stopped in last night. Greeted right away and super efficient staff who took my order quickly and the food arrived very fast. I order the thick noodles with Miso base soup, pork, egg and green onions. The pork was delicious as was the egg and the noodles were OK but the who bowl was just bland and not what I was hoping for. This is no where close to Nuna Ramen in Fremont and the price is the same. I would probably come back for a quick bite but thats it.

Great Ramen in Ballard

Delicious, affordable ramen spot in Ballard. Restaurant is a bit on the small side, but that gives it an intimate feeling. Quick and friendly service. Will definitely be coming back!

Great Ramen comes to Ballard!

So happy to have a ramen place in Ballard. Really enjoy eating in the restaurant as the staff is so friendly and service is great. Love their traditional , but then tried the black garlic variation.... Yum!

Good price, Great Ramen!

I've been looking for a ramen place for quite some time, and this is it! The broth is what makes the soup, but the noodles were perfect and the seasoned egg...well I'll be getting 3 next time ;).

Shio Tonkotsu Ramen is OK!

By Miru-chan |

I had Shio Tonkotsu Ramen, and it’s OK. Tonkotsu is supposed be pork-bone broth, but I didn’t feel Tonkotsu at all, and soup was not rich enough for me as Tokotsu lover. And there’re no Japanese waitresses working there. 塩とんこつラーメンを食べました。味は普通です。スープはとんこつにしては薄めでした。日本人従業員は一人もいません。

If you like pork, you’ll probably love it — otherwise, maybe skip it.”

Small, cozy spot in Ballard with a lively atmosphere — though when it’s busy, the acoustics make it quite loud. I visited Arashi Ramen and ordered the miso tofu soup, adding an egg for extra protein. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a soup so bland. The broth was milky but lacked depth and flavor, especially for a miso-based soup. Service seemed stretched; no one checked on me, and I had to wave someone down to ask for hot sauce just to give the soup some life. On a positive note, my boyfriend ordered a pork noodle bowl and was raving about it — he said the broth was rich, deeply flavorful, and outstanding overall. The contrast between his dish and mine was pretty striking. I honestly would have given this two stars based on my experience alone, but because his pork noodle soup was so good, I’m giving it three. I just hope they put more care into developing the vegetarian option so it can stand on its own.

Authentic and Exceptional

Small dining room. Authentic and welcoming. My young son went in hoping for a Godzilla sighting, and he was not disappointed.

Authentic Ramen & soup base

By Yannis L |

This is the most authentic Ramen in town. The soup base, the soft boil egg and pork are amazing! Great service!!

The real deal - 18hr stock!

Arashi had the richest and most filling stock - the ramen was exceptional, as was the karaage chicken

Noodlemania

If you like ramen, then this is the place for you. With three locations in the Seattle area Ballard, Tukwila and Edmonds they have north, central and south covered. At the Ballard location parking was unusually easy for that area. The place may be small, but it's comfortable and cozy and the service is crazy fast and efficient. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that the vegetarian options were very limited. Otherwise, the ramen is delicious and you can always order the wider noodles if you so desire. Big portions at what Seattle considers reasonable prices. I found them a bit high for soup!

A Little Bit of Japan in Ballard

By Terry P |

Small, intimate and diverse ramen shop similar to what you find in Japan. Shop is right off of Market Street in Ballard and while small it does seat over 20 some at tables other on stools facing the street or the wall (in front of the kitchen). Menu, while not extensive, does offer a variety of ramen dishes and rice bowls. Diverse patrons makes for interesting conversations.

Quick food

Small space, quick service and tasty food. Arashi specializes in pork- based ramen yet has one vegetarian option for ramen recently added on their menu. The vegetarian ramen has an assortment of veggies yet the broth is rather bland and could use more flavor. The cold vegetarian ramen is a good option on a hot day. Prices are a bit higher than other ramen joints in the area.

Great Ramen in Ballard

By dpan16 |

Great new spot in Ballard for Ramen. The spicy miso ramen comes with their thick noodles which had a great chew to them. The ramen came with fatty pork, sweet corn, bean sprouts, and scallions. I got the mild spice level and there was a good kick and the broth was rich. Service was friendly. The space isn't huge so you may need to wait as they start to pick up traffic from the strong reviews but the ramen comes out fast. Definitely worth checking out.

Ramen very good

Small shop but staff very attentive (ran out to find me with the sunglasses I left behind). Easy parking compared to many in the area. Food was very tasty. Lunch for 2-$20.
