Our lunch with three dishes came fast and was good. Kind service. Small dining area with some seating outside. Fairly priced.

This place is little and really comfy, the vibe here is good. It's in the Vons Plaza. The food is really cooked to order which is nice knowing that your getting a fresh meal and is flavorful. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Aroi is a little outside of the main tourist area in LJ, but worth the short walk. We dropped in on a Monday night and the place was nearly empty at 8pm. We ordered Satay Chicken, papaya salad [spicy level 2], cashew nut chicken [4], and pad see ew [2]. The appetizers were delicious, with the papaya salad having a gentle kick at the end. The cashew chicken was spectacular, and I recommend giving it a try to anyone visiting. The big disappointment of our meal was the pad see ew - it was pretty bland compared to other versions we have had, and was a stark contract to the flavorful cashew chicken. Some bites also had a very eggy taste. In summary, go try this place but avoid the pad see ew.

Very nice staff. She complemented my nails 🥰 Spring rolls with peanut sauce were very good. I got the khao mok Kai it was amazing 😍

The food here is fantastic. The service is quick and efficient. The dining area itself left a little to be desired. A fresh coat of paint and a more cohesive "theme" would transform this from a four to five star review.

We tried soup, salads and a duck curry. Each of these was at least very good with the curry being outstanding. On ordering, the server enquired regarding our spice- heat preferences on a scale from 1 to 10. The person who first chose 8 was sensible in agreeing to lower this, but not as much as he should have done.

Thai food is my favorite, my go to whenever I have an option, and this was the worst Thai food I've ever had. Overcooked appetizers and over-sauced noodle dishes.

Friendly atmosphere, casual setting. I loved their Tom Yum soup with chicken which you can have as a vegetarian option as well. You select the spice level. I tried the Crying Tiger salad, it is rich in taste and plenty. On my second visit I tried the Pad Ped with chicken and was also very good. This will be my routine Thai restaurant in La Jolla for now.

This little restaurant is worth the extra walk or drive outside the main part of La Jolla. The atmosphere is well it doesn't have much atmosphere. It has an extensive menu with Thai dishes we hadn't heard of. The spring rolls were better than I'm used to. Drunken noodles were terrific, as were Pad Pen and Tom Kha. Spicy ranges from 1-10. Great service. Our water glasses were refilled constantly, and we always had a server when we needed one but were seldom interrupted. Reasonable prices. Overall a wonderful experience.

Store front atmosphere. Exquisite Thai food and attentive, friendly, service. Price is very reasonable. A true gem . BTW- the 1-10 spice guide is precise A 9 is, indeed a 9

My wife and I got take out tonight and it was as delicious as always. She ordered the pad Thai and I ordered the chicken with mixed vegetables. I had only the 5 of 10 spiciness tonight and it was perfect. I had 8 of 10 last time and the waitress and the rest of the staff got a good laugh at how much I sweat. Overall my wife and I have had great food and great service every time we've ordered in or to go.

Food taste very good and cute place. Must try Drunken noodles, Thai boat, Crab fried rice. Customer service with smile:)

Our party of 5 happened to find Aroi Thai after a full day of visiting the Aquarium and the Cove in La Jolla. The parking was abundant and if you have been in a beach city, this is a plus. The decor is delightful with antique signs, vintage pieces on the walls, and comfortable tables & chairs. All the dishes we ordered was prepared to perfection and tasted so delicious! The service was excellent as well. Everyone was happy with their meals and we had plenty to share so that others could have a 'taste' of our orders. We would highly recommend eating here.

Delicious! Very kind and friendly staff. The food is simply delicious and yummy!! Especially the fried bananas, curry puffs and lemon ginger tea is extra ordinary. Highly recommend this place.

We went to this restaurant because it is one of our daughter's favorites. I hope we can go back during our next visit to La Jolla! Everything was delicious!

Love, love the crab fried rice! And those curry puffs are my favorite! And their Panang curry and Massaman curry, so delicious! Such nice service and people. It's quiet because the food is so good, everybody is busy eating...left speechless. Best cucumber salad and their peanut sauce is so fresh. Their ingredients are from Thailand, so everything tastes great! Never disappointing.

This restaurant is kinda tucked away and doesn't look like much from the street but the food is delicious and the staff were very kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place for spicy Thai food!

This is a nice thai restaurant with a terrace with view to the waterfront. Huge portions of very well and freshly prepared food for a reasonable price. We had one rice and one noodle dish, both excellent and very filling, with lots of fresh vegetables and good quality meat. On top they serve it very nice decorated and you can choose between 10 different levels of spiciness. The waitress was very attentive and friendly and even checked if we wanted to have our ice water refilled.

Everything is excellent, and the service is friendly. I've been to Thailand quite a few times, and it tastes fresh and authentic. Not on the beaten path, so spend an extra few minutes to find this place! It is in the Vons parking lot.

We really enjoyed everything about Aroi. The server was attentive and friendly. We ordered the chicken satay, drunken noodle with seafood, and curry. I wouldn’t order the satay again but the others I would. The restaurant is small and quaint.
Great Thai
Great Thai dinner in La Jolla on Fay St. Our food was uniformly excellent. Order your spice level from 1-10. Huge servings. Small location in strip shopping center across from Von's. They do plenty of take-out business, too.
