Friendly service, delicious food. Delicious food, Friendly service. Must type 100 characters apparently.

Absolutely one of the best Indian restaurants in the Austin area! We love the Combination dinners for two (easily enough food for three... maybe four!). Other favorites include the "Cauliflower 65", and what I rate as the best Saag Paneer I have ever eaten. We have never eaten the buffet here, but we hear it's awesome as well. The servers are always very polite and accommodating, and more than happy to answer questions about items on the menu... and help you pronounce them. :) (I even got info on where to buy the best Basmati Rice in town!). It's amazing that this place is not more crowded than it is... maybe we just always hit them at off times. Asiana on our regular rotation, and is more than worthy of being on yours as well. :)

This place has some fantastic food. Really great options. Perfect sauces. Their service is nonchalant but not bad. Just not super attentive and slow on beverage service. The ambiance is kinda cafeteria-esque, but all that aside. I'll be ordering take out for sure next time I'm in the mood for amazing food. Garlic naan and onion kulcha are a must. One of the best Roland marsalas ever. Good sagg and korma (we had it with lamb, very tender).

First there are too many choices! We started with an appetizer combo plate. Very very yummy. I ordered Bagara Baigan which is an eggplant dish with a curry sauce over basmati rice and my husband ordered goat with peppers, tomatoes and onions also served with basmati. We brought leftovers home so we can enjoy again even though it was good enough that we could have stuffed ourselves. And to make it a perfect meal we had Kashmiri naan.

we went because the Chronicle said it was maybe austin's best. It is really good, chronicle may welll be correct. The veggie dishes (best okra bhindi ever) especially good. Naan unusually fresh. The saag paneer (spinach) wonderful. Portions more than ample. Decor very plain but so what? It is byob. We plan to go again soon.

Yummy, delicious, authentic, and sooo good are just a few words to describe this place. It is located in a strip mall and when you enter the décor is alright. However, the service and food are phenomenal. Delicious food. I have eaten here twice and both times I received amazing service/food. One of the best places and I recommend. A word of advice: be careful with spicy dishes because they are hot!!! Delicious but spicy. There are other items on menu that are not spicy.

Dont eat the buffet. Not much there and we arrived about 30 min before they closed at 2. They kept coming around "reminding " us they were closing and were taking the food away. Buffet was average. Nothing really good and they were out of everything. Bill totaled $40+ for 3 buffets and 3 waters...too much for us being rushed to eat and not much to choose from. They locked the doors at 2 and took all the plates away and started clearing our table to make us leave. Wont be going back

First of all, I'm not a big fan of Indian food in general because I'm a fairly picky eater. The food was fine and plentiful. Service was very attentive and quick. The friends I dined with rave about the food being very authentic. Since this is only the 2nd or 3rd time I've had Indian food, I can't really say one way or the other. If you like this type of food, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it.

The Indian food was very authentic yet not too spicy. Their menu is much larger than most Indian restaurants as it includes South Indian, Punjabi, and even Indo Chinese! The gobi manchurian was amazing! The amount of food for the price is great for Indian food as it is usually expensive to begin with!

The lunch buffet is wonderful. There was a good selection of both appetizers and main dishes, and everything was very flavorful and fresh-tasting. Service was also excellent.

We happened into this restaurant based upon their yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The service was attentive and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful meal! We will be back!

All the standards are here on the buffet, and all are good and freshly cooked. Although some Indian buffets are larger, that's okay. These guys do a great job.

Asiana has gone straight downhill since my last visit and the small crowd I saw at lunchtime seems to indicate the word is spreading. Instead of tandoori chicken they now serve tandoori chicken wings which are a poorer quality meat and very messy. Saag paneer and chicken tikka are my favorite Indian dishes and both were sub-par today in that the taste was off and were not quite warm enough making me think they had been re-heated from yesterday's buffet and not cooked fresh The naan on top was dried out and the naan on bottom was soggy. It cost $12, I was sorry I went there and will not return!

At the recommendation of a foodie friend, we tried to dine at Asiana Saturday night. Got there about 7:30 p.m. and the place was 3/4 empty -- not a good sign for that time of night on a Saturday. I think the waitress was stoned (not that there's anything wrong with that, but she was a crap waitress). After waiting 45 minutes for our food, we paid for our chai and left. Owner (or whoever) didn't ask us what was wrong, didn't offer an apology, nada, although our waitress was standing right next to him. After paying our bill we drove to the ever-reliable, ever-wonderful Tarka, got take-away, and had a great meal at about a third the price of Asiana. And even factoring in the drive time to the restaurant and then home, we got our food faster than we would have at Asiana. With the enormous variety of great dining options in this town, this is no way to run a restaurant if you want to last more than six months.

We love Indian food and were not disappointed by Asiana. The buffet was werll prepared and very good. It is a littel smaller than other buffets I have been to. The service was very attentive. This should be on your list of go-to restaurants.

Indian restaurants here in Austin do NOT have any buffet. Houston has buffet for Indian cuisine. I like the fact that this place has a COMBINATION PLATE. That will suffice. Chai is good. My plate was all Vegetarian as I requested. Palak paneer was a luke warm, okra was hot (temperature wise), mushroom curry was luke warm. I prefer all of my food to be hot temperature wise. I asked for Raita and green chilies so it would be more spicy cos I like my mouth to burn.

I have been here many times & have never been disappointed by the food. We have used them for catering get togethers at home & invariably everyone has always said wonderful things about the food. LOVE IT!!!!

The wife and I have been to Asiana 4 times for dinner and the wife once for lunch buffet with a friend. All visits were top notch in the food category. Service is sometimes a tiny bit slow, but personally, I would gladly wait for my dinner here.

Previous to visiting Asiana Indian Cuisine, I had eaten at only one Indian restaurant. That was about 20 years ago, and I was hesitant to give Indian food another try. Am I glad I did! We ate the lunch buffet on Friday, 1/05/2018. Several of the dishes I ate were quite spicy and good. If you can handle Mexican food or Thai food, I'm sure you can handle the delicious spice at Asiana. There were several vegan and non-vegan dishes. I ate vegan, and my daughter also ate non-vegan food. We both loved it! The service was excellent. Waiters checked in with us, refilled our drinks, and removed empty plates several times while we were eating. I am looking forward to returning!

Had the set meal for two, which several other tables ordered so it must be popular. You get an appetizer, a lamb curry, cream spinach, vegetables, chicken and something tandoori, naan, rice, and desserts. More than what my wife and I could finish. Great value. Very authentic judging by the number of Indian customers. Right of I-35.

Excellent Indian cusuine. We had dinner there the other night and the service was great. Every single item we had was just terrific. Food was fresh and tasty. You can appreciate how much effort goes into such well prepared food. Highly recommend!

Not real Indian food. Saag paneer was creamed spinach. Not Spivey at all. This isn’t even Anglo Indian food. It’s like someone described Indian food to someone and they tried to make it with what they had in their kitchen.

Went to Asiana Indian Cuisine with my family while visiting Austin. This restaurant is very relaxed, but their food is absolutely delicious! The staff was super attentive and even made sure my girls understood exactly what they ordered. I had the chicken biriyani which was exactly the right level of spice that I asked for. Kids had chicken curry and tandoori chicken, plus garlic naan & onion kulcha. We have plenty of leftovers for lunch! Don’t pass this strip mall restaurant by, it is great!

Great service and food. Location is OK to find but overall a great experience. We had the combined appetizer highly recommend, mango drinks which was great and the veg meal #51 which was very tasty. Again the food was fantastic...

Tonight I had dined for supper there for the first time. There were many entrees to select from, with a great wine selection and basic beer selection. I had ordered the chicken biryani with naan bread and mango ice cream. I know that this is the very best indian food here in Austin and the dishes provide ample servings. Price range is around 10 - 20 dollars and the restaurant is large with many tables . The waiters were very knowledgeable about the menu and brought the food out promptly under 15 mins of ordering. The restaurant has been open now for four years and I am a fan. During lunch there is a large array of food selection during the buffet for under twelve dollars. Free parking . I did note on the list that they also serve champagne for 3.99. Cant beat that and beer prices are also the same at 3.99. It also provides catering services. I am a great fan of theres now and I highly recommend it.

I was delighted to see Southern Indian dishes on the menu - most places have the usual Northern dishes. Asiana does both with perfect balance and subtlety. We had the following dishes, all excellent: Idli, chicken tandoori, saag paneer (paneer was super fresh), vegetable korma and aloo gobi. There were three of us and there was enough left over for lunch the next day. Service was very good.

Foods are good and perhaps modified a bit to suit American tastes. However, it suits us just fine - we love it for being not excessively spicy. The service is quick and efficient, and we had a very friendly waiter.

The restaurant is spacious and has an excellent buffet. Everything we tasted was delicious. We did note that all the meat dishes were chicken dishes, no lamb or mutton. Enjoyed our meal there and will dine there next time we're in town.

Being away from home this Indian meal was well received after a few weeks. We were 6 people and spent 56$ and believe it or not there was a tad bit left over. We did order it for take out and it was amazing. We had the Malai koftas, garlic naan, pain naan a chicken 65 which was to die for and always a South Indian favorite bands. It was definitely to write home about. When you are in Austin and in the area don't miss out on it. Great flavors great taste. Oh. Don't forget the masala chai.

We have been coming to Asiana after the previous restaurant we loved closed and we saw that Asiana had come in, so we naturally had to try it and are we glad we did. We love the food here and consider it the BEST indian food in Austin...shoot the best indian food I've had ever!!!!! I love their food and the owners recognize us before we even come in the door. We have taken an endless amount of friends and family here because we believe in sharing good food with the people we love. Everything is so authentic and freaking DELICIOUS. I mean if you have been here, you know how awesome it is.

The 2 meals my husband and I shared were delightful. The wine is relatively inexpensive. Shrimp Biryani was great and so was the Josh ? Lamb.

Great Indian food right in our own neighborhood. Had the lunch buffet and the variety and quality of the dishes was amazing. Ended the meal with a mango ice cream. Yum!

The dosas are nice here, especially the mushroom roast. My wife didn't like the onion kulcha, so taking off a star.

This place is AWESOME. My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner last night. It was our first time there. I had seen this spot many times as I live nearby but for some stupid reason had never been inside. Thanks to a Yelp search and many a great review, we decided to check it out. Good gosh it was wonderful. The service was excellent. The menu is extensive. And the food.....heaven. Hands down the best chicken tiki masala of my life. My boyfriend and I split an order of garlic naan and it was delicious. The portions are more than adequate and with the naan my boyfriend and I could have probably split an entree and been good. Price was reasonable for our meal. We will be back FOR SURE!!!!!

Lots of items to choose from (south Indian to North India etc.) The food is made fresh and is pipping hot. The price per adult is 13.99 plus taxes and for kids it's 6.99 plus taxes!

The buffet offers a chance to try a lot of different Indian food, but much of the food tastes the same.

Would go here every few days if we lived closer. 1 of the top three Indian restaurants in Central Texas. Always wonderful food.

Maybe it's the location. There was a great Thai place in this spot for many years. Now Asiana is serving up really good, really authentic Indian food here. My friend and I ordered quite a few dishes so we could try different things. We fully expected to take home leftovers, but the food was so good we couldn't stop eating and there was nothing left to take home! The Saag Paneer was creamier than I'm used to, and I think I prefer more straightforward spinach, but everything else was spot on. We ordered a Korma and a curry, a fried cauliflower dish, and an appetizer sampler plate. The Korma and the Curry were both a little spicy for my wimpy palate but not hot spicy. More flavorful and zesty and I enjoyed every bite. We are going to return to try the lunch buffet so we can sample more things!

A lot of verity of south Indian Cuisine, when I went there for Sunday Lunch buffet , the place jam packed with customers! Still there was no shortage of any items!!!

This place is nice for Sunday brunch. Place is spacious with not much decor. but buffet has good variety of Indian cuisine. I went there on Sunday for buffet and completely enjoyed , Non veg has good option. Overall place and food both are above average and good place for Indian food.

Great place to try the real cuisine and get your fill at the buffet!! Great service and clean restaurant.

We were traveling with friends from India and they were longing for some tastes from home. This place was perfect! The buffet was well stocked and varied with one dish better than the next. We all ate ourselves into a nice state of immobility. Wonderful!

Recently visiting in Austin. I went to Clay Pit and G'Raj. G'Raj was less authentic. Asiana was hands down the best. I have traveled to India extensively and this was close. Staff super friendly, prices fair and much less than Clay Pit. I would strongly urge you to Uber to here if you are downtown as I was. Again this is Austin's best I tried.

Have been here for a lunch buffet several times. This buffer has very tasty options in both vegetarian and meat. The saag paneer is fantastic. There are piping hot idlis vadas and dosas. Almost every non vegetarian dish is very tasty. Dessert selection is good too. This place is highly recommended.

I LOVE this place. I have yet to be disappointed with anything on their menu. Not the best ambiance but the food is so good! I love the somosas and tika masala. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I hear they have an awesome buffet as well

Typical buffet in indian restaurants are food prepared in bulk and usually bland. I visited with family here and was pleasantly surprised. The vegetarian options were limited but the food was fantastic. One of the best meals I have had in a while. The restaurant was also well lit with good ambiance.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The food was very tasty and way more than my wife and I could eat. Desert was free. I would definitely return to eat there again.

We went for dinner tonight expecting the normal very good meal, but tonight the food was perfect, food was all the perfect temperature, perfect heat and seasoning, just great. We had both Chicken Khorma and a Vegetarian(Navar) Khorma. The meals were excellent, the Garlic Nan had a crispy bottom, and soft top, with just the right amount of seasoning. Two meals we will definitely go back for again and again.

I was visiting the area this weekend and we stopped here for lunch as I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants and have been to India, but my friends I was visiting had not. So they wanted to get my opinion of this restaurant. Again - WOW. What a awesome lunch buffet. This is one of the few Indian restaurants I've been to that has both north and south Indian foods. They will even bring dosas to your table fresh. The buffet was fresh, with a lot to choose from. Service was out of this world. Yes, they were certainly busy at lunch - but that just means it is awesome food. This place is a gem.

Tasty food, open late, tables inside and out. Enjoyed the music playing in the back ground. Wished you guys had a place in Houston!!

For my taste the food could be more spicy but for sure it is authentic and from Idli to Dhosa's .. Tandoori specialities and nice curries .. For sure the dinner menu is well balanced and reasonably priced. Would like to try out their lunch buffet one day.

We went to this restaurant with family from the area. It was an excellent choice. The chicken saag (#59) was amazing. I also recommend the garlic naan--yummy. We tried several items from the menu and all were delicious. The restaurant was clean and the servers were friendly. I highly recommend this eatery.

While they have a much appreciated buffet with a wide selection, we ordered off of the menu and found the Tandoori Shrimp really delicious. The garlic nan is also tasty.

We were surprised to find this restaurant right in the neigborhood, a part of town we often leave in order to find good food. This menu is extensive, the food is well prepared and they will make modifications for diners who ask for milder seasoning (although I thought their 'normal' was just fine). We had the vegetarian samosas as an appetizer for the two of us and they were so generous that we ended up taking part of our entrees home. The entrees were great, as well, an varied. There is an inexpensive wine and beer list, but we chose the mango lassi instead. The servers were very attentive without hovering and our waiter was very helpful and kind. The decor is pleasant but not upscale. The prices were great. We'll be back soon.

I'm a local and this is my favorite Indian place in town. It isn't fancy, but they have superb food at reasonable prices. Try one of the Asiana platters (you get two entrees, basically, plus rice, veggies, and naan). The service is very friendly, though can be a bit slow.

I really love this restaurant; nothing bad to point out! I'm a total fan of Asian meals, and the chef of this establishment really knows how to make you fall in love with the Asian cooking style!

I could not see anything bad to report. Nice ambiance, Spacious seating's. We went for buffet and next time I'll go a la carte and review. Pros: Fresh, tasty food, buffet, deserts, rest room. Cons: nothing to report. I recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried. You have missed the best food in Austin, TX. Keep up the good work guys (esp. chef), and we expect the consistency always.

My first visit was during the lunch buffet so I had to go back. Everything on the lunch buffet was so good. My second visit was just as good. My goal is to try every item on the menu.

We have been there many times now & just love the food. The ambience is not the great but the food rocks.

Hi to all the members I went there with my family there for the lunch buffett when we visited austin tx it was recommended by some friends and we were not disappointed. They have enough choices for veg and non veg and the food tasted fresh and great my sun loved the pita bread and rice. the staff was freindly and hflpful andFor a party of 4 the tab was around $40 the only thing i would suggest would a little more desert choices Overall would highly recommend it if you wanna try indian food in austin tx.

Staff was very friendly. Was there with relatives. I went with no clue about Indian food. They ordered and I tentatively tried a bite and immediately discovered it was good. I would love to review my food by name, but have no idea what it was called. All I can say is that 8/10 things I tried were very good and the rest were still OK. It's my brother-in-law's favorite restaurant and I can now understand why.

I have no particular expertise in Indian cuisine, I've just had it numerous times and places and know what I like. This restaurant, located in a strip shopping center, is among the best that I've had. It was dinner and with a group of seven folks. The wait staff was attentive, kept our water glasses full, plates cleared, etc. The portions were plentiful, and everyone liked the main part of their meal. Not everyone has a taste for Indian food, so a particular side (like the lentils) weren't everyone's cup of tea, but I liked them. I had lamb rogan josh, which is normally medium spicy, and though it might have been a little milder than my preference, it was very good. The saag paneer (spinach with Indian cheese) was good, though I'm not that big a fan of the cheese part; feels too much like tofu cubes. The tarkari-do-pyaza, mostly cauliflower and potatoes, was good but I would have liked a bit more of a flavor punch. Altogether a very good dinner and a place I'll return.

The place in itself is devoid of character or ambiance but the staff are very attentive. The food is good although the paneer tikka I ordered was dry & not seasoned other than the red colour. It was also slightly burnt. My husband's Kadai paneer was way too spicy; typically this dish is not spicy but more flavourful. The Bagara Baigan was good as was the Kozhi Varavalu , daal makhni & naan. All in all a pleasant experience .

If you want an excellent lunch buffet, you must try Asiana Indian Cuisine! The food is outstanding. Logan and his staff are very attentive. They go out of their way to make you feel like an important guest. We used to frequent his restaurant in Round Rock and hated it when he sold, as it has never been as good as when he was there. But, now that he has opened Asiana Indian Cuisine, we once again have the BEST OF THE BEST, when it comes to curries, naan and chai tea. The food is fresh and tasty. In fact, it is sooooo good, we drive over an hour to get there! Although some may complain about the ambiance, it is simple and clean. After all, the Food is the star of the show!

Other reviewers have commented on the poor ambiance; it's fine: open, airy, clean, comfortable, standard Indian decor. Not fancy, but perfectly pleasant. The surroundings are a bit scruffy: a large strip mall with Lumber Liquidators, Big Lots, etc. However, parking is free & plentiful, so you quickly find yourself inside the pleasant restaurant. Now, the food: We've tried Indian food around the world, and honestly this is some of the very best. We tried the vegetable pakora: wow! It was a huge serving of small, delicately fried veg served with 2 dipping sauces...outstanding. Then we had the lamb rogan josh: perfectly seasoned, fork-tender lamb, served with excellent saffron rice. The Asiana has a daily lunch buffet, but you can always order off the menu, as we did. When we were seated the excellent staff told us that it would take 25 minutes for our food to come since each order is individually prepared; nice of them to warn us, but the pakora was served in about 10 minutes & the lamb in 20, so it didn't seem like we had any wait. All in all an excellent experience; we will be back!

Have had lunch here numerous times with family & friends. Pleasant ambience. Excellent food. tHE WEEKENDS BETWEEN 12:30 AND 1:30 CAN GET HECTIC. Buffet great.

I live in austin and have finally found quality Indian food. Asiana has fantastic food. The flavors are deep, rich , complex and balanced. The food is world class. The vibe of the place is pure mom and pop. The service is friendly and professional. They take a genuine interest in there customers and take highly justifiable pride in there work. I tend to order things I have never heard of and there South Indian specialties are astonishing. My wife always orders the tikka masalla because they have achieved perfection as far as she is concerned.

You can not go wrong here. We typically go for the Saturday or Sunday buffet. I actually prefer to go for dinner so I can bring home my left overs. The samosas are delish. The place is packed with Indian people which is a very good sign.

So happy to see Asiana has relaunched the lunch buffet today! Selection was great! Food was great! Service was great...

We are not native to Austin but travel there to visit family. Until we happened upon Asiana Indian Cuisine - it was close to the hotel we stayed at - we never had Indian food in Austin that we would rate highly. Asiana Indian is an absolutely wonderful restaurant for anyone who appreciates Indian cuisine. The flavors were simply amazing, as good as anything - or better - that we've eaten in the States. While light on ambience, it is five stars on food and value. They serve wine and beer, and wine we typically pay $30-$34 a bottle in other restaurants was only $19 a bottle. A group of us enjoyed a first rate Indian meal at a surprising low price. To add to all the other positives, the service was great and the staff was attentive to the expressed needs for the younger children dining with us. A "must dine at" if Indian inspires your palate.

This is a no frills restaurant in an old shopping center and it hasn't been remodeled since the old Thai restaurant moved out so what you are getting here is really good Indian cuisine and a friendly and efficient wait staff. The buffet gives you a chance to try a great variety of dishes and the combo dinner in the evening is one of the best values you will find. It isn't as pretty or fancy as some, but the food is fabulous. I have been there many times with family and with friends.

We love this place and dine every other weekend, especially on Saturdays. Best Indian Food I have ever tasted in the US (and I'm not exaggerating). The weekend lunch buffets offer such a diverse selection of entrees, that you need to sample almost every one of them. The owner is friendly and cares that everyone is promptly served when coming into his restaurant. Be sure to order the complimentary dosa that comes with each meal. You can't go wrong with this restaurant.
Authentic Indian food in Austin
If you really want a good south Indian food in Austin, go to this place. The lunch buffet is always very good. Lots of variety and most important part is that the food never tastes stale!! Dosa is a part of buffet, so don't forget to try that. The place is never over crowded. The a-la-carte is also really good. Try their goat curry and the assorted kabab platter. The only reason I gave it a four star instead of five star is because of the behavior of the waiter. There is one guy who generally takes orders, looks like the main person in the restaurant. His behavior seems a little more casual. He needs to learn to treat his customers nicely.
