My wife and I went for Lobster Fest and found it disappointing overall. We’ve been going to AFM for as long as I can remember and have never before been disappointed. I have to have (crave) lobster from time to time. Their fresh fish preparations have always been delightful. Our lump crab cocktail was excellent and a generous portion. My wife ordered the “standard” 1 1/2 pound steamed lobster from the lobster fest menu. I ordered a steamed two-pound lobster from the regular menu. My lobster was excellent but my wife’s was very tiny and cooked beyond dry. Maybe they order in a large volume and prepare them ahead rather than to-order? We’ll give AFM another try but may get our lobster cravings satisfied elsewhere going forward.

My wife and I went in to the Atlanta Fish Market on a Friday night and had a wonderful experience. We were early so we started at the bar and had a couple of very good Martinis. We also shared a half dozen oysters on the half shell and the Colossal Jumbo Lump Crab Cocktail. Excellent. Once we were seated we had the Chilean Sea Bass prepared Hong Kong style and the Broiled Seafood Platter. Both were phenomenal. I highly recommend either...but deciding on your entree is up to you. It's not easy, because everything on the menu seems like a must-have. I plan on coming back and trying something else!!

We requested of our colleagues to have a business lunch at the Atlanta Fish Market, as we have eaten here before & were satisfied with the fresh fish & seafood options. Everyone in the group ordered a lobster roll, a universal favorite. At the price of $36, one expects a generous portion of lobster on a golden, grilled New England roll. After ordering, our server returned with an update that only hamburger shaped (round) rolls were available. As we all had our hearts set on lobster rolls, we accepted the substitution, although we were surprised that the restaurant didn't have such a simple but important component of this featured dish available. When our lobster rolls were served, we were all shocked at the tiny portion of lobster that was mounded on top of what appeared to be a slider bun. Since it was a business lunch, it seemed inappropriate to complain. This major disappointment was compounded by the lukewarm coffee that was served at the end of the meal. We won't be back.

Here you can taste for sure a very good fish, visible on the front part of the kitchen. Everything is good but a bit expensive!

Service was top notch, food arrived quickly and tasted great. What more could you ask for for dinner on a Tuesday night! Would definitely got backs. Clam chowder was super.

Dinner with colleagues in classic fish places, very wide choice of fish and meat. Good side dishes, friendly staff, quick service

Such a disappointment. My guest's $112 lobster was chewy (overcooked). Also, I requested a dietary accommodation which should not have thrown a wrench in the gears but apparently it did. My meal was completely unseasoned and flavorless. Lastly, since we were only a party of two, we were taken to the bar dining area. This was a special occasion, though, and I should have been given the option of restaurant seating. I didn't know what we had missed until I went to the restroom at the end of the meal. We did have very good service but overall, I was let down.

I have been several times and have never been disappointed. Formal dining, the Atlanta Fish Market has a very good seafood menu;sushi is also available. I highly recommend reservations & viewing their menu online before you go.

i arrived at the bar by myself around 3pm on a Saturday for my birthday dinner. the bar was 20-25% full. when i first arrived, i was promptly asked for my drink order. a full 15+ minutes later (which is an eternity for a hungry customer), another bartender asked me if "i was good." a proper greeting after 5 minutes maximum would be "are you eating dinner this evening?" but anyway, finally the other bartender took my food order. the food is regularly very good here, but i'm not completely satisfied with the bartender staff after this visit. no smiles with the customer (me), no courteous or social interaction, not good enough!

Great experience. Not sure of the negative responses. The calamari with sweet sauce was great. Had the Sea Bass and my friend had the Crab Cakes. Really fresh and cooked just right. They make great margaritas 🍹. Loren was our waitress and she was excellent.

We started with the ppetizers Rainbow sushi & oyster Rockefeller . The Sushi was super fresh and the oyster Rockefeller was very tasty. I ordered the broiled seafood platter. Salmon was perfect, crab cakes were hands down the best ever. Veggies were delicious. And my 1st ever BlackBerry margarita 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. This was my second visit, but I'll definitely be returning.

We have eaten here many times and the food and service has always rated a 5. And it still does. However we are seated as I write this in a booth/table we’re the booth seat is disgusting. It has a long tear (about 18”) on the seat and is covered with a black wrinkled tape reminiscent of a 2 star diner. This should really be fixed pronto. All in all it’s still a great restaurant. Art Schultz Atlanta

I’ve been to AFM many, many times but tonight was the first time in a couple of years. We went to celebrate a special occasion and I’m disappointed to say that it’s gone down hill a bit. The food is still good, but not for the money. My husband had the trout and said the mushrooms were CANNED. I had the crab cake, which was excellent, but the portions were super small. Service was only ok...didn’t remove our dirty salad plates when the entree was served, which in hindsight was good because they also didn’t bring us fresh utensils and we had to get the dirty ones off the salad plates. Had to ask several times for drink refills. Valet parking is not complimentary. For the money, there are nicer places in Atlanta to enjoy.

Our favorite fish restaurant in ATL. Excellent food that is prepared just the way you like it. The wait staff is also excellent. Looking forward to going back for another terrific meal.

I had a really nice dinner. Our waitress was nice and very patient. The ambience and decor was great. The food was really good and plentiful.

Really nice assortment of fresh fish and specialty items. Wait staff very knowledgeable and attentive. Able to accommodate our group of thirteen without any issues.

Walked in for lunch and waited a few minutes to be seated without making reservation. Ordered lobster roll and fried seafood platter. Large portion size, fries were hot and crispy, large chunks of lobster, jumbo shrimp needed cocktail sauce, tasty crab cake, and good cole slaw. Lunch was a little pricey. The place is cashless so you scan a QR code on the table to pay. Staff were wearing masks, and didn’t see any of them with gloves. A couple of hand sanitizer stations.

We waited 20+ minutes after our reservation time for a table. At least 10 minutes before we saw a waiter, telling us he would be back in a little while. Came back at least 5 minutes later to take food order. Never asked about drinks. After we ordered drinks waited about 10 more minutes on them. Entrees came pretty quick - and were delicious. Unfortunately we never received our salads. Finished meals, drinks and water without seeing our waiter or even someone to refill water glasses. 10 minutes later waiter came by to check on us. we asked for more water and for salads to be removed from check. Waited a while for water and for check. When we paid with credit card it was not returned and we had to ask for it. Waiter was very distracted. We drive quite a ways to eat here. Not anymore.

The sushi here is amazing!! The yummi yummi role is my fave! The Bangkok and Alaskan rolls were great too!

My husband and I brought my parents to Atlanta Fish Market on their first visit to Atlanta and they have never stopped talking about it. They were just here for their second visit and they had requested that we dine at the Atlanta Fish Market again. We had a really nice visit once again. Our server was fantastic. He made sure that all of our meals were served exactly as we had requested them and he seemed to really care about our dining experience, which we appreciated very much. The food is always well prepared and the ambiance is very nice.

This place is grossly overpriced. While the food is properly prepared, there is not much of it and it is WAY overpriced. In addition, to substitute some twice backed potatoes for a baked potato, add $ 2.00. These are (3) small red potatoes with a hole poked in the top and a drop of who knows what in the whole. What a joke. To finish off the evening, they charge $ 2.00 to park your car ! It is obvious the crowd seems to fancy themselves as the "movers and shakers" of Atlanta, good luck.

If fish is your thing, you will not be disappointed. They have other than fish entrees for meat eaters, but creative fish menu options is their specialty. Nice dining environment and good service.

Superb fresh fish; delicious salads; great coffee; friend shrimp was exceptional. They also have terrific deserts. Service was first rate; no wonder it was so crowded. Perfect for a special night out - assuming you loke fish.

Likely dined there with family >30 times over the years. Semi-casual atmosphere. Part of Buckhead Life Group. Always had good+ meals there. Only downsides: can be rather noisy and it attracts a crowd that likes to preen.

We were there a party of 7. The service was very good and prompt; but the AC was down and with 100 degrees outside it was not a pleasant experience. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional. I ordered the lobster roll which was mediocre and you can tell the lobster meat was from a can. It was quite priceynd "hot"

Yummi-Yummi sushi appetizer was delicious! Sea scallops very fresh and flavorful. Service was slow toward end of meal.

Great seafood, great selection, great service, great atmosphere. Definitely a place to go for fish, crab, or lobster. The entrees and sides are excellent.

Sitting at our table, waiting on our food, I noticed the gouged out places in the seat in our booth, the dust on the room divider, and the cocktail sauce that needed to be wiped off the wall. These are all things you might expect at a cheaper chain restaurant, not a nice Buckhead Life Restaurant. The service here is mixed. Today the waiter was excellent but the food prep was very slow. The two times before the waiters were rude and condescending. We keep coming back because the seafood is always fresh and delicious. Today was not an exception.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on Valentine's Day and were really impressed. The service was good if not spectacular and since we had reservations, the wait was minimal. As a sidebar, you do need to valet park here, so I'd make sure you have some change on you for the tip. Anyway, the starter salad were great and really fresh tasting, though the bread they serve you isn't the quality I'd expect from a place like this. My Mahi Mahi dish was excellent and blackened perfectly and my wife loved her crab dish. The atmosphere of the place is pleasant and clean which is of the upmost importance to me at a restaurant. I'd recommend this place if you like seafood.

I ordered a meal that’s not on the menu. It was a special order for just that nite. It was a lobster tail with scallops and shrimp and crab cakes all in one. Scampi style. This was one of the best dishes. Awesome nite.

Always a favorite...Delicious seafood, friendly and attentive service in an inviting atmosphere! We enjoyed the oysters, shrimp & crab cocktail and lobster roll.

The service was excellent! Lendy provided top notch service! She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She was very helpful in explaining to my mom the various dishes. Lendy provided service with a smile the entire time. The food was good as well. We ordered the Crab Cake and the Crab Soup as an appetizer. The crab cake was delicious, the soup I was not a fan of as much. The main dishes was the Signature Skillet Stuffed Flounder, Fish & Chips, and Broiled Scallops. All entree’s were wonderful. Then we ordered dessert to include key lime pie, chocolate toffee pie, and bread pudding. Also wonderful, we will be back for sure.

Excellent service. Delicious fresh seafood. Don't miss the bread pudding at the end. I'm from a seaport city in California and this is like being at the ocean seahouse restaurant back home.

We ate at this restaurant for the first time this weekend and the word that comes to mind is underwhelming. The wait time wasn't too bad for a Saturday night, only 35 minutes. We got seated at a high top table in front of the sushi bar. I hate sushi and don't care for being around it, but I didn't feel like waiting for another table. Having to stare at raw seafood while eating wasn't the best, but we made do. I ordered the filet mignon with green beans and it was delicious. My son got Chicken Francesca and he did not like at all. His meal came with some sort of rice that tasted awful too. We decided to indulge and get dessert. I got an apple tart with ice cream and it was tasteless. My son got creme brulee and he said it was good. This was not worth the $100 we paid for 2 people. I can mark this place off my list now and I don't think we will be coming back.

Great service, great selection, great sushi, great seafood, great drinks. Awesome atmosphere. No wait with reservations. Always parking with valet service. Buckhead landmark for over 20 years.

The seafood is SO FRESH!! Ordered crab cakes. Scampi special with lobster, scallops and stuffed crab inside the shell of a lobster. Whipped sweet potatoes. Pecan covered grouper fish. The service was excellent. And my daughter received free chocolate birthday cake. Complimentary parking onsite.

Seafood the way it’s supposed to taste. Fresh, prepared right and priced right. Service was smooth and professional. OpenTable reservations were honored at the correct time. Would recommend. We hate that we just now learned of this restaurant! Should have been coming here. Will visit again!

We made reservations over the phone. When we arrived they were busy but were seated promptly. The building and decor are upscale and tastefully done. Entrance is through a front porch area with seating and rocking chairs and you go through a beautiful turnstile door. When you enter the building and approach the hostess you see a beautiful large aquarium with fish swimming around peacefully. The tables are comfortable and the area were clean. The mixed drinks were a good size and had a wonderful taste. The Appetizer (Jumbo Lump Crab Fritters ) were light, flaky and delicious. The entree (Maine Skate Wing Meuniere Lemon, brown butter, capers, spinach & creamy whipped potato) was absolutely scrumptious, mouthwatering and delicious. The dessert (Dark Chocolate Mousse Topped with Milk Chocolate Mousse) was very dense, but delicious with a silky smooth dark chocolate flavor. The service was mediocre. Our server was very courteous, and hospitable but it took a long time to get each of our food items. The table next to us (party of 3) sat down 20 minutes after us and was served faster than we (party of 2) were. I also noticed tables sat dirty and it took a while for them to be bussed.

Ordered the lobster which was quite pricey but very good, but was very disappointed when it was served with a butter flavored oil for dipping. Asked for drawn butter and was given an oil-based butter flavored alternative. With the prices charged, which are quite high, real butter should be served. The wait staff was less than quality, had to wait a while for drinks to come to the table. Overall a nice place to eat but would I consider returning, probably not.

The valet experience ruined our dinner. While the food ambience and service was excellent, Atlanta Fish Market disappointed us with the situation with the valet. Not only was our vehicle disabled with a flat tire under their care, they also charged us for the parking! Management could have done several things to remedy the situation, but elected not to to our disappointment. We will not return given how many fantastic choices there are in the Buckhead area. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

This place used to be one of my all time favorites. Always made a point to stop by once or twice whenever I’m in the area. Tonight’s meal was disappointing…. My medium tuna steak came out rare. I sent it back and it came out well done. Just not the experience I remember.

Went to Atl seafood mkt on Christmas eve. First time there and last. Food was not up to expectation. Mediocore at best. The wait staff was the only thing worth commenting about-great. Then when we got the bill-very disappointed. The desserts were unremarkable as well. Do not get the fried lobster if you are brave enough to go. I hate to write negative comments about this place, but it is what it is unfortunately.

It has been over Five years since we have been (we live over an hour away). We were not disappointed. We both had the specials that evening and it was fantastic. I hope we don't wait this long before we return!

We had the fish and chips and sushi. This meal was not satisfying because the taste was simply just "ok". Nothing special but almost not really good. The waiter was wonderful but the food was not. I don't mind paying good money if I'm going to be pleased but I've had better sushi at Publix. I'll never go again. Lunch with tip was $122.00 which includes two cocktails. The meal was not worth it. The fish and chips came with one piece of Cod for $29.00. NOT WORTH IT.

My family came together and took my mother to AFM for her birthday. We have graced this establishment before, so we knew what to expect as far as taste and service. We were seated on the upper level and we began to order, my only complaint is the NOISE! If I was brought to this restaurant by surprise, I would think I was in a Applebee's while a NFL game was taking place! Anyway, I ordered the spilt Steamed Lobster Special with Creamy Parmesan Grits. The Lobster was cooked well and the grits had a great flavor. However they were extremely rich, It was almost if they had used heavy cream and cream cheese, but overall it was great! I will return soon the the AFM, but with a Antacid & a pair of ear plugs.

My husband and I visited Atlanta Fish Market, with our friends, and it was delicious! I enjoyed Maine Cod and he enjoyed the chicken dish (He doesn't eat fish). Our sides included kale salad (YUMMY), whipped sweet potatoes, rice, and hushpuppies. I ordered from the gluten-free menu, but he did not. The Creme Brule and sorbet were amazing! Our waitress was very knowledgable of the menu and very accommodating to our needs. She was polite too! The only thing that wasn't amazing was the expensive price. This is where we will only visit ONCE A YEAR! Until next Atlanta Fish Market!

Sophia the bartender was excellent. if i'm alone i always eat at the bar, and sometimes it's not up to par. but everytime sophia is there it makes it worthwhile. hope she stays for a long time to come. make sure to tip her well.

The ambiance is lovely, pretty crowded it took us a while to be seated, presentation of the food A+ but the food was just ok. It didn't wow me like I expected

It had been months since we’ve been here. Came in tonight and remembered why we liked it so much. We arrived at 5:30 and sat at the bar. It was pretty empty in there so we found seats right away. Omar came right over and welcomed us back. We both had wine and then ordered dinner. Everything was delicious. Service was great. We’ll be back again soon!

The Atlanta Fish Market is an iconic staple in the Buckhead area. Today, I finally went for dinner with family. I looked up the menu to make sure we had a nice selection. My mom followed my suggestion and ordered the boiled platter, and I ordered the blackened Trout. Yes, it was pricey, but the food and service (including the valet service) were all superb.

Traveling for business and typically stick with chains or “safe” restaurants but felt like having something local and seafood. This place did not disappoint!! Absolutely delicious food and cooked to perfection. I had the Broiled Seafood Platter which included shrimp, scallops, a crab cake, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Also to add, parking is valet only $2. I didn’t mind but typically don’t usually carry cash on me.

We come here every year for a birthday. It is not on the regular menu but you can request king salmon, I am from Alaska and the fish is just as good as the fish back home.

Disappointed We ordered a tower to split as an entree. When delivered, it was not a tower. It was a plate. We asked waiter, WTH? He said, since Covid… It is 2024. Not 2020. For waiter to use that as an excuse was not credible. “ We used to use more ice…” More ice?! You used to have more food on a seafood tower - which was served in a tower, not a plate. Say we serve less, but price point is proportionately less. Don’t use Covid as an excuse. Good grief.

Superb shrimp cocktail w/ large but not oversized or tough crustaceans & 2 sauces. Crab bisque a bit short on sherry flavor, & martini not cold enough. Broiled snapper very tasty but in my opinion slightly underdone. Great atmosphere & better than average service.

Make reservations; there’s a long wait. Large booths with extra room for guests to sit comfortably. Wonderful lobster specials the night we were there. Broiled seafood platter was absolutely amazing. Wait staff was very busy and the later in the evening we felt a bit rushed. Too full for dessert. Restaurant is open and quite loud. We were more focused on the food than conversation. We absolutely be back next time I am in the area.

Without a doubt The Atlanta Fish Market has the best and freshest seafood in the Atlanta area. To give a restaurant and excellent rating the food and also service must be excellent. In our recent visit the experience was not very good. Granted a Saturday night is probably the busiest night for The Atlanta Fish Market. Our server Kristen appeared to have too many tables to handle and was sporadically around. Our party consisted of 5 people. The bread server was disappointing s the bread was cold. We kept flagging down servers to get more butter. One of our out of town guests never got their order until 30 minutes after 4 of us were served. This equated to over 45 minutes for the guests to get the order. Finally I asked for a manager. Ryan came to our table and another gentlemen who had his arm in a sling. Once the managers got involved service improved. Ryan made some adjustments on our bill which was appropriate. We dine at The Atlanta Fish Market at least 3 or 4 times per year. In this instance our guest wanted a restaurant that had good seafood,

great place, clearly eats it to much, love everything bout it, everybody should try it at least 10 x

Atlanta Fish Market serves the freshest seafood in the city. The wait staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I always love the crab cakes and the gulf shrimp. Nice spot for special occasions as well.

Visited based on local food review. Lobster roll was very good! Excellent recipe, lots of tender claw tips! Blackened salmon was excellent as well. Calamari appetizer excellent, although it was all rings with no whole pieces (which I love). Margaritas excellent as well. No reservation on a Thursday, quick seating in the bar dining area. Only parking is valet, and it is a paid service, although not expensive.

I highly recommend this restaurant and the Chilean Sea Bass. It melts in your mouth. The service is great. This restaurant has always been a success and they were so gracious about it being my birthday. Check it out!

When you're looking for freshness...you must stop here. I order the black and red snapper and it was delicious. My parents had the pecan crusted salmon and they love it!! My side dishes were also good. The green beans were tender. The service was great!!

We left feeling this was an equivalent of a meat n two veg restaurant. The fish (one broiled, one steamed) was of very good quality and prepared perfectly, but everything else showed a lack of care & attention to detail (and taste). The Hong Kong style soy/sherry sauce is kept pre-prepared in a thermos flask. It was 4 times as strong as any restaurant in Hong Kong would serve it. Anyone tasting it would know it needs watering down. The steamed veggies must have passed by the steamer VERY QUICKLY on their way to the plate. They were close to raw. At least 5 minutes from being described as al dente. The fries were skinny & dry, sitting too long in the serving bowl under the hot lamp. Service was great, fish was very good, but everything else showed a lack of care.

Food was good and tasty, servicee was unacceptable. We had reservations yet we had to wait half an hour. The waitress took our order and we did not see her till we had to look for our check. She never even once came to check on us. We had to hunt for her to get a part of the meal that was missing. I understand there were a lot of people but the management should have enough servers on hand. Terrible service, they didn't seem to care. Nobody came by even once to check on us. We don't plan to return any time soon. Big disappointment. Red Lobster chain is far superior! And whole lot cheaper and faster.

Good meal, however unfortunately when we received the crab cake entree we ordered, we automatically received the $56 plate, which came with two crab cakes. We would have preferred the dinner that came with only one, which was $29, however the server never asked us. If you order this, be sure to specify! If was really good, just more food than we would have liked.

There are 4 cubicles in the ladies toilets! One was out of order ( had a notice on the door) Two were absolutely disgusting, unusable! So one in operation And that had tissue all over the floor, People were leaving as could not use. I bought it to a few of the staffs attention. A man in a suit came over to our table and asked us how was our meal, I told him I was disgusted with the toilets. He told me next time I could use the upstairs bathroom our server would show me the way, which she did. There was a not on the door saying ‘ clogged sink’ Yes yes it was clogged, with vomit. How disgusting is that! Food was ok, nothing to write home about, our server was lovely Yasmin. Sort out your toilets it is unsanitary and disgusting

Came here with a friend right after getting off a flight. It was about 25 minutes from the airport and worth every minute of the drive. Driving up there is a huge lobster outside - so very cool to see. Upon entering there was valet only which apparently is after a certain hour. Personally for a Monday I was shocked to see that type of detail but really liked it. The restaurant/bar is huge. It’s got a lot of options of where to sit including meeting space above the general restaurant. We sat in the large dining room, passed the large fish fridge which was so great to see. So many options of very fresh fish. Our waiter was really nice and helpful in making decisions. There are just so many great menu items it’s almost overwhelming. I went for the blackened halibut with veggies and spinach and my friend had some tuna dish. Everything was outstanding! We didn’t get dessert or anything - my friend isn’t a big eater but I can almost bet if we did get any additional menu items they’d be delicious!

If you are in Atlanta, I highly recommend taking the short drive to Buckhead and having dinner at the Atlanta Fish Market. Not to be missed! Every time we come to Atlanta, we make it a point to stop at this restaurant. Today, like every other time we’ve been here during the past 15+ years, the food was incredible. This place really knows how to prepare the most delicate seafood. What a feast! I love their Chilean sea bass / Honk Kong style, but everything on their menu is superb. I highly recommend the tuna carpaccio to start, too! The place is good for large family celebrations, dinner with friends, and even business meetings. I also want to give a special shout out to our server Lendy who was so friendly and attentive. And special thanks to the manager Jesus Osorio for welcoming us to his restaurant.

It's an older establishment so it was a fun venue for the group to experience. We had good service, food and plenty of choices on the menu. We sat at the bar waiting for our table and had some tasty, however small, appetizers. I had the battered lobster which did not disappoint. It was quite lively since it was full on a weeknight. Not sure I would return unless it was with a group.

Very tasteful lunch! Crab cakes are delicious! Fish and chips as well. Quick and friendly service. Not the cheapest, but correct pricing.

We used to enjoy this restaurant, but we were disappointed this time. Hostess was rude. Waiter got the order wrong. Food was average. Asked for brand liquor but received well drinks. Other Buckhead Life Group restaurants are so much better. Will not return - can get better seafood elsewhere.

If you like fish… this is the place to enjoy it! From raw sushi and delicate carpaccio to full tasting monk fish and grilled sea bass, you can find the best seafood here. I have been coming to this restaurant every time I visit Atlanta and the food is always consistently good,,, no, the food is consistently GREAT! Probably this restaurant is among my top 10 everywhere. I highly recommend the visit next time you’re in Atlanta… 20 minutes north of downtown, in Buckhead.

Perhaps this was fluke, but we had the most unpleasant server i have ever experienced in years. He was impatient and tried move us into more expensive items every step of the way. We will never return!!

I was back at Atlanta Fish Market after a few years, and the place is still buzzing, sat on the bar side with a colleague and had great ambiance, we start with some sushi which were very good and fresh and the fish was fresh and very well prepare as usual.the best part is their selection which is amazing

I was on a mission to find a restaurant in GA that had Skate Wing [from the Ray family] and I came across Atlanta Fish Market from a Google search. I was so excited to see that they had it and cooked it the way I liked- brown butter, lemon and capers! Since my Step Mom's birthday was coming up, we decided to celebrate there. I made reservations and we were seated quickly upon arrival. I was let down by the inside, from online it made it seem to be really fancy, but it was not. The 4 of us had already scowered the menu online so right away we ordered the shrimp cocktail and crispy calamari apps. The shrimp were quite big and the calamari was delicious. It was super warm in the resturant, like uncomfortably warm. It did start to get crowded towards the end. I ordered the skate wing that came with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinich. The skate wing- awesome. The sides- AWFUL. So bland, I don't think there was ANY seasoning what so ever. I tried my step mom's dish which had various seafood in a somewhat spicy red sauce- it was very good. Our server was great, no issues there. It is definately pricey, which i understand as the seafood is SUPER fresh, but if I'm going to pay top dollar, I'd like my ENTIRE plate to taste good. Will I go back- probably. Are there better seafood places- absolutely.

The first time we dined at this establishment in August it was so great that we couldn’t wait to get back. We went in today and it was the worst experience EVER!! First the waitress left our appetizers sitting for 10 minutes(we were seated where we could see), she brought them to the table cold and soggy. We let it go. Then when the food was served she forgot one of our party’s food entirely!! Until about 15 minutes after everyone had there food and then she says oh I forgot, brings over 35 minute old sushi(once again we were sitting where we could see). I asked for a new order of sushi and was given attitude by the sushi chefs for the waitress mistake. We received our check and paid, learned that it was someone else’s check that we paid. Then to top it all off, my husband was at the end of his drink just to drink up a piece of glass!!! Thank god he spit it out!!! When we brought this to the attention of the manager his response was what do you want me to do? Way to treat black customers!! We will never dine here again!

What a great lunch! The chowder was perfect on this rainy cold day, and the sushi was a great start. I had the Alaskan salmon, Hong Kong style, and the sauce was amazing! They cooked it medium, just perfect, it melted in my mouth. The staff was very attentive and friendly! Can't wait to go back !

Food is good. Not a fancy place, very casual, old and outdated inside. If you have anything nice don’t wear it to this restaurant, horrible ventilation. You will leave here smelling like smoke, grease and food. Your hair, your clothes, your purse jacket etc. Foods we had: Spicy tuna roll was very good Sweet spicy calamari very good Hong Kong style sea bass was really good. Fish and chips were good. Hush puppies are a must. Alfredo potatoes were a nice surprise Sweet potatoes are good. Dessert- favorite is key lime pie. Others also liked the cheesecake, chocolate pie. Bread pudding was meh, apple one needed to be sweeter and it was very dry not much flavor.

Food is quite good- service as well. Valet parking only. Salad, sea bass, pecan pie all very tasty. Found it to be quite typical- not outstanding. Found it to be too expensive.

We actually visited a month back, no one to greet us and had to locate the restrooms ourself. Which were seriously gross and in need of care. We left. Low and behold we decided to give them a second chance. Glutton for punishment? Service lacking, food mediocre. Having recently moved to the city, we have been to several restaurants with exceptional food and service. However this is not one of them. Would not return.

We love the Oysters here Baked with cheese service is ALWAYS great ! And if you are a desert fan they have the Best selection around you would think you are at your grandmother's house. Strawberry shortcake is my fav.

This restaurant is more than 25 years old. We visited several times about 20 years ago and went again this time. We ordered Seafood tower as an appetizer. The main lobster, oysters, clams, and shrimp are served. All the seafood was fresh. It's not bad if you maintain this freshness in Atlanta. The main dish is fish & chips. The fried fish was very delicious. But ,We did't have dessert because we were't in the mood for it, and there are many dessert shops within a 5 minute walk from the Atlanta Fish Market, so we recommend that you go somewhere else and eat dessert. And, we gave the host a seat in a small hall with a bar. The atmosphere of the hall was like an American restaurant in the 1960s. The big main hall was almost empty, but I don't understand why they gave a seat in the small hall! * Advantages of this restaurant: All seafood is kept fresh. It is said that all seafood strives to be distributed within 36 hours. * Disadvantages of this restaurant: The interior is too old-fashioned. There were only too boring menus on the desert menu, so there was nothing to eat. *Points to improve : It would be appreciated if the host could ask customers whether they prefer to sit in the main hall or the small hall with a bar before seating them. It would be great if the restaurant could consider developing a dessert menu that complements the seafood dishes.

We were craving seafood and had received numerous recommendations about Atlanta Fish Market (AFM). We decided to give AFM a try the Saturday prior to the Super Bowl in Atlanta. We arrived at 6pm and we were seated promptly. Our service was excellent and and our dinner was outstanding. We now know why our friends recommended AFM so highly. We will definitely return to Atlanta Fish Market.

We hadn't eaten dinner at the Fish Market in a couple of years and the entire restaurant has gone downhill. Being forced to valet my car for $2.00 or rudely being told park somewhere across the street. The dinner room could use a freshening up. The waiter was a disheveled in his appearance and mannerism, he would fit in at the Crackle Barrel. He did not provide good information regarding a description or recommendations the meals...far from being the professional polished waiter that one expects from a Buckhead Life Group Restaurant. We ordered the chopped salad as a starter...just ok I ordered the halibut the wife ordered grouper. Both meals tasted the same, could have been the same fish, and was slightly overcook. There was a sauce that was unnecessary, as it took away from the fish, which wasn't that great..good but not worth money. The side dish was steamed veggies that had no flavor...just plain steamed veggies. As we were finishing up our meal the waiter said at least five times, "I am not rushing you take your time." Nothing like being told you should hurry up and leave. We will never return.

One of the best meals ever. I had the Chilean Sea Bass, it was so good, I have no words. The fish literally melted in my mouth, and I kept wanting to say Mmmm with every bite. I didn't though, cause that would have been weird. I had it prepared the Asian Style with the rice and Spinach. It was perfection. My boyfriend also loved his blackened grouper. I got the banana Creme Brulee for dessert, and it was so delicious!! We came here before a concert, and were not dressed up. I was worried because the menu seemed like it could be fancy. I really wanted a good meal, so we went anyway. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was pretty casual. It would be good to dress up or down. A perfect place for any occasion!

The food is decent at best. The "chef" should get of his high horse and use some seasonings in the food. Portions are a good size but i could have ate better fish at captains d's. Not worth the $70 i spent on my visit.

Fantastic place for dinner. We ordered sea bass/salmon Hong Kong style and flounder casserole . Food and service was fantastic. Lauren was a wonderful server

I cannot say enough good things about the skate wing meuniere. It was simply delicious. The texture of the fish was superb, the balance of flavors was unforgettable. However, I cannot accurately capture the tremendous disappointment in the lack of service. From the time that we were seated, the service was curt. Glasses of water were slammed down on the table. Plates were snatched so quickly that I had to actually ask the waiter several times to please leave the plates because we were not done eating. It just seemed like we were preventing the waiter from doing something else that was more important. If not for the awful service, I would be eager to eat here again.

I always enjoy Atlanta Fish Market, but there are several things they could do better. The parking attendants are courteous and efficient. The hostesses at the desk were just barely polite -- not rude, but certainly not very welcoming. We had a reservation and were not seated for 15 minutes past the time of our reservation. I ordered the lobster roll, and was told they were out of the lobster. This has happened to me in the past. This time I was told that they usually run out of lobster roll during lunch. If that is the case, they should not list it on the dinner menu in the evening. Our server was very friendly. I did have the Hong Kong style Chilean Sea Bass, and it was delicious. The wine was good, but all the wines were a little on the expensive side. I will go back to Atlanta Fish Market -- my meal is always good. But I hope they will do some more training with the hostesses and order enough lobster to have lobster roll at dinner too.

The food is good, small portions in my opinion .Noisey , huge crowds. The server was very patient and nice.

I am a Buckhead life dining card holder and I frequent this group's restaurants. We have been to Atlanta Fish Market many times and traditionally go for king crab legs on our birthdays! This years celebration was very disappointing. The food (calamari, sea bass Hong Kong style, and king crab legs) was good, but not fantastic as we've come to expect over the years. More disappointment came with several other issues.. Rudy did his best to please, but between the bread burning in the back of one of the ovens and the black mold on the ceiling tiles and air vents adjoining to them, the ambiance and overall experience was far less than what we've come to know and expect from a landmark restaurant that holds itself in the "high end" fine dining circuit both in price point and popularity. The decor and open kitchen is fine, but there are literally tiles and light fixtures missing from the ceiling in several places.. and the noise level just grows until it feels more like a school cafeteria.. and background music was undetectable. We will not return until I hear that some simple changes have been made.

Had not been here in many years and the food was better than I remember! Had the round table in the corner of the front room and the evening was perfect!

Excellent food, nice ambience overall , great service - enjoyable meal - will be back again especially since part of summer dine around club there !

Went here for my anniversary dinner and it was amazing to go out to a fancy restaurant again and enjoy ourselves! The sushi and crab cake appetizers hit just the right note; we had the pecan salmon and the sea bass, which were so amazing. for dessert, I highly recommend the bread pudding, its very different and delicious. Will visit again!

When we were there last Saturday afternoon, I had been dining at the Atlanta Fish Market almost since its opening. We had not been there in the past year and boy, had things changed. There was a long “appropriate attire” note taped to the front entrance. The white tablecloths were gone. (Was this a COVID cleaning thing?). Our check was a cash register slip of paper (where was the bill in a cover?), plopped on the table by a server who was polite but had obviously not been trained in service. At one point , she had me handing her plates. I’ll be blunt — it felt like we had stepped into Red Lobster. And it was loud. The volume of the 80’s tunes piped in needed to be turned down. We could barely hear each other, speaking at polite levels across the table. Speaking of which... There were 3-4 women seated across from us who were louder than the music. It got worse near the end of their meal when two men joined them, standing next to their booth (backsides inches from our table), conversing at loud levels for about 20 minutes until they finally left. So the old, relaxing atmosphere of the Atlanta Fish Market was gone. We were still hopeful about the food. Our Oysters Rockefeller were not good. My husband’s fish and chips were okay. My crab cake, the same. The best thing was the whipped potatoes and green beans. Before this visit, we loved the food. Now, not so much. I hate to say this but I don’t think we will be going back. There are too many other restaurants (at the level this one used to be) to choose from. And it’s sad because for many years, this was one of my Buckhead go-to restaurants for business and family.

We were very impressed w/ the food and service.. My Wife ordered the Block Island Swordfish, and it was cooked to perfection, with a wonderful olive oil/cream/butter/lemon sauce. I was in a "semi-Sushi" mood, so ordered their Super Crunch roll, which was prepared just right - all ingredients were fresh, well-blended, and very flavorful. We also ordered a chopped salad and a dessert of Chocolate Toffee Crunch Pie. Both very good, as well. This was from an order thru a delivery service. There were some special requests that we had, for preparation of the food, which were not available for selection, via the delivery service app. All we had to do was place our order thru the app, call the restaurant, directly, and let them know. All was taken care of, and prepared, to our satisfaction, by the staff at ATL Fish Market.. If it tasted this good, via delivery, imagine how good it would be, dining, in-person. :)

We came from out of State and hearing great reviews-we decided to have dinner here the day after New Years, The server comes takes our order, never made any food suggestions, The food gets dropped off and they dash off. They never checked if we had silver ware, when we finally get the servers' attention , she says "Oh didn't I give you any silverware?" By then our food is cold , she didn't offer to replace it. This was surely not worth the time nor money spent.

Amazing Valentine's dinner!! We had 6:30 reservations. Arrived on time to a sea of people and cars. The place was packed. We thought we might be in for a less than stellar experience. Boy, were we wrong. Valet took our car. We were seated on time. The wait person (Julianne, Juliette??) was great. She gave us the proper attention. Our meal was properly paced. The food was wonderful!! I had the cod, sautéed. Wife had skate wing, sautéed. Perfect seafood. The veggies were properly prepared. I had the mussels for an appetizer. There were plenty and tasty. Kudos to everyone working at the restaurant. Amazing how you pulled off serving so many people so well. Thank you.

The Atlanta Fish Market was not amazing food. We had excellent service and even better company with us, but we were not wowed by the food. The crab fritter appetizer was good. My husband moderately enjoyed the blackened mahi. I tried the stuffed flounder, it was very rich and too fishy for my taste. We honestly had an average experience. I will not rush back, but I would go again and try something other than the stuffed flounder.

Each year, we have traded in our Atlanta Fish Market dine-around card for a different Buckhead Life restaurant. I convinced our party to try it this year based on a favorable experience I had plus friends' reviews. Reservation made a week in advance was for 3 and a high chair. We still had to wait 20 minutes for a table, and were jammed up against the aquarium. We were served water and bread and given some time to decide on orders. Our server never introduced himself, but was pleasant and knowledgeable about the evening specials. He did not spend any time explaining the menu or the separate lobster menu options. Our Greek salads took awhile, but were fine. I requested no raw onions and dressing on the side. Although it arrived without onions, it was already tossed. I did not see the waiter and so did not send it back because I didn’t want to take the time waiting for a fresh salad and interfering with the timing of the main course, didn't want our small child to have to sit longer than necessary - and I was hungry. When the runner brought two of the 3 entrees, he did not clear the empty bread basket, butter plate, or salad dishes. No one had come to refill my water glass. When he returned with the third entree, we handed him the salad plates and requested water. He left the empty bread basket. When the server ran by to check on us, he was half turned away when he asked if my friend wanted a 2nd glass of wine, turned and took off, so I waited until he returned and then asked for my wine. One meal, the sea bass, was very good. The second meal, blackened grouper, was overcooked. The sauteed sea scallops were not as buttery as I expected, and a bit sandy. The sweet potato mash was inedibly sweet, and sadly, the scallops were resting on it spoiling that umami flavor one would expect. This was our first outing to an upscale restaurant in some time. I was upset at the service and the quality. Then, one family member became upset with my negative remarks and left the table, then the other went to calm them down. I ate two scallops and couldn't finish. I asked for the waiter, and the manager came over. He was very kind and patient seeing I was upset, and offered to box the uneaten portions and/or bring something else, and really tried to be accomodating. However, one member of our party had taken the baby and gone out on the porch, and the others of us just wanted to pay and go. The manager gave us our next card, we paid for salads wine, and tip, and our meals were comped. Then we went to our homes. I had a bite to eat when I arrived home. What was intended to be a pleasant family dinner ended up in anger, tears and disappointment. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

The fish selection and variety of choices made this a must. Prices were good and sides and desserts made for a memorable evening

Its been many years since I last visited this restaurant and I must say I felt the love. The food was so good. I ordered a broiled seafood platter, it has salmon, scallops, shrimp, crabcake, mashed potatoes and seasoned veggies in a lemon butter sauce. Best crabcake ever! Everything was so delicious. Downside, for the price could have added more fish and potatoes. My appetizer was calamari, also good. Service both inside and outside (valet) was excellent!

Like many other reviewers I was not impressed. It was not the fine dining experience that I was seeking and have come to expect from this restaurant group. I would have to describe the experience as slightly upscaled Red Lobster. The whole atmosphere of the place is just off. I will have to give credit where it is due though and the calamari appetizer was the best I have ever had. Great flavor and not chewy like so much calamari is. My wife ordered the fried shrimp and they were heavily overbreaded. I had the sautéed grouper. The flavor was good, but nothing special. The Parmesan grits were pretty good. All in all an “eh” experience and I won’t be going back or recommending it to anyone.

I went with 3 other family members and we all ordered different things. Two of us ordered hush puppies, which were delicious. I ordered grilled scallops, which I would definitely recommend. It came with a side dish. I chose mashed sweet potatoes but they brought mashed potatoes instead. The waiter subsequently brought out the sweet potatoes. The bread and dessert were scrumptious. We had 3 different desserts and one was better than the next. The food came out very hot, which was also wonderful. Due to the potato mix -up, I have it a 4 rating. Otherwise it would have been a 5. Try it, you will love it.

Well..well..where to start..from the beginning I guess..my husband for Xmas got me a $300 gift certificate..so we put gift card away to be used in March for a special occasion...so off we go to chops..food okay..not all these restaurants are hyped up to be..fine dining ..go elsewhere..anyway..we have appetizers..we have salad ..soup..soups horrible..then entrees..food still marginal just okay bill $225..okay time to pay..well it seems someone has taken $85 dollars off our gift card and used at another one of their restaurants...okay so what now..I am told to call corporate next day..so I call corporate..seems it takes them 2 weeks to recover my money with no compensation for maybe I may have been put on the spot due to their screw up..okay so they reimbursed me..3 weeks later..then we decide to try Atlanta Fish Market...DO NOT..I beg you don’t..Besides getting no compensation for someone in their company stealing my money..the food at Atlanta Fish Market was horrible..their drinks $11 dollars for well drinks and if you can taste any alcohol in them..well ..your used to 1/4 jigger...I just can’t get over how bad this Buckhead group is and still surviving..I still cannot get over someone stole money off a gift card I bought and corporate acted like it was an everyday occurrence..oh well was their attitude..and me being a bartender in this town of Atlanta for 22 yr..I was told this happens all the time with them..so apparently stealing is in their structure..no one offered us a break when someone stole our money...just maybe you will see it in 3 to 4 weeks....how can a company care so little about it’s customers..completely..and you expect them to give you a decent drink or good dinner decent price...when someone in their company steals your money..gift card or not it is now your money..and seems to act like it is an everyday event..and you are lesser than less..I asked them to find out who stole our money..pull up camera..video..signature..anyth8ng..they stole our money..and they couldn’t be bothered...Buckhead life group..what is your answer to this...oh here’s you money you spend and should of had months ago and by the way...we aren’t compensating anything..because we don’t have to and be lucky you got your money you spent back.we won’t investigate..because it was someone in our company..and we really don’t need you..that’s the vibe I got..they really don’t need to take car of any of us..you want throw exorbitant amounts of money away for a meal and drinks(I am sure they laugh at us for $11 dollar drinks with no alcohol content hardly.) and think these idiots will let us do anything to them..and they keep coming back..Well Buckhead life..bartender in town 22 yyrs..word of mouth..give it 10 more yrs and I don’t think things will look so well..already so down since 10 yrs ago..keep up the horrible work..maybe you’ll listen and take care of your customers..if you ever cared

We dined at Atlanta Fish Market for the first time during our visit to the area. The restaurant is located in Buckhead. There is huge fish statue on the side of the buildiing. I believe parking is valet only. We were there on Superbowl Sunday evening, and the place was relatively empty. We did not have a reservation, but was seated immediately upon arrival. The fresh displayed in glass cases looked decently fresh. The decor is dated, but in a good way. The food was well prepared. Service was excellent, partly because the waiter did not have to staff too many tables that night. I recommend this seafood restaurant without hesitation.

We had a positive experience, we were seated quickly. Our waiter was attentive and informative. The temperature was warm inside so we requested the A/C to be adjusted, and it cooled down minutes later. I had parmesian breaded salmon, and my mom ate the crab and shrimp cocktail, and she liked it. Nice and casual atmosphere...we enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs.

Great seafood, prices high but the quality is worth it. Standard dishes like broiled or fried seafood platters are available as well as more unusual options like skate wings. Service was good but not great. Noise level was not bad, you can have a conversation.

Coal would have come in handy on this visit. We were seated in a cold, dark room (59 degrees) and had the worst service we have had there. It was bad enough that it was really uncomfortably cold, but we were treated like we didn’t exist. We ordered drinks and only 2 of 6 of us got them. The same thing happened with our soup. Some were finished before the others got theirs. No one ever came back to see if we wanted another cocktail and I had to go find someone to give me some water. It ruined the whole night and meal. So disappointed as we go there as a Christmas Eve tradition! Not sure that will ever happen again!

Very good food and well suited and fresh fish. I highly recommend this restaurant. However, the care is not adequate. Very full and the price is above normal

Our server, Nicholas, was friendly and helpful. The oysters we started with were very delicious. Nicholas recommended the seafood gumbo, and he was right -- very good. My wife enjoyed her kale salad. The Chilean Sea Bass is always so wonderful. Had the lobster roll for the first time -- very good, but I have had better. But it was a very good meal and we will continue to visit one of our favorite restaurants.

Our first time at this establishment. Visited during lunch hours. Connor was our waiter and did an excellent job. He was knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful and friendly. I ordered the fish and chips and cannot wait to visit again, the fish had a light coating and fried to perfection. Wife ordered fish tacos and was satisfied with her meal. Parking is by valet and a great deal at $3.00.

I was looking forward to this place for a few weeks. I am here on business and i finally got a chance to stop in tonight. I sat at the bar and was served pretty quickly. The bartender recommended the grouper and it sounded good. When I got it, it looked soggy and smelled of eggs. The whole fish tasted like a friend egg. The mixed vegatables it was plated with were soggy as well. I could stomach a few bites. I paid my check and left. Whole time was 30 mins total time spent. Grateful for that. Valet parking was super nice. I hope it was a fluke but I will not return.

Delicious food and impeccable service made for a great date night dinner. Picking up valet took a little longer than it should have but didn’t deter from our fantastic evening.

As a 30 year long resident of Atlanta, I can remember when the Atlanta Fish Market was the best seafood restaurant in the metro area. That is no longer true. The place looks absolutely tired with an interior that hasn't changed in over 20 years and mediocre, at best, food. IF you choose to ignore this advice and do dine at AFM, do NOT order the stuffed flounder "casserole". It will remind you of an overly salty frozen dinner. PS: Read other bad reviews in which the management's response is for YOU to forward their comments onto their management, which is THEIR job. Just another indication of how far they have fallen.

My husband and I took my parents who were visiting from out of town to the Atlanta Fish Market, upon their arrival in Atlanta. From the atmosphere to the service and most important the food, my parents were impressed from start to finish. We all enjoyed a wonderful welcome to Atlanta dinner with them and it they have the Atlanta Fish Market on their list for the next time they visit.

This is a high-end restaurant for business and special occasions. The staff is professional, service is swift, and by the lack of empty tables, a very popular destination. The cuts of fish are on display in a refrigerated case as you enter the dining - quite impressive. We sampled the tuna hand roll as an appetizer, pedestrian but serviceable. The broiled seafood platter ($48), complete with mashed potatoes, arrived quickly, and was cooked to perfection. Having said that, like the mashed potatoes, the meal was vanilla, in that it lacked personality, or any sense of creativity. I feel the management are taking themselves too seriously, and catering to the middle of the road. Let the place "breath" a little.

Food is always delicious. Service was excellent. Just could not believe the lack of enforcement of mask and social distancing. Bartender was totally onto me and obviously knew what I was thinking. I feel bad for the people working there who are obviously put it risk every single day. People lingering over the bar and maskless, hanging over me. No distance between patrons. If I did not have the antibodies, I would NOT have been there. Hello, there is a major pandemic going on, in case you haven’t heard.

One of my favorite seafood restaurants in the US. Every time I visit Atlanta I make a point of dining in this iconic restaurant in Buckhead. The food never disappoints and the service level is superb. From delicate Chilean Sea Bass to amazing Sole, here’s a perfect dish for all palates.

If you like a variety of good but a bit pricey sea food, you cannot go wrong at AFM. The service was very good and the waiter knowledgeable and good with his recommendations. The pecan crusted salmon was particularly good. All deserts are home made they claim. The ones we tried were all good without being exceptional, and bit too sweet even for a sweet tooth like me. Unless you crave sushi, skip it. Mediocre at best.

We had a celebration involving ages from grandparents to parents to 20 yr olds. All age groups left very happy and satisfied. The seafood choices went from raw sushi, oysters, to salads and soups, to broiled or fried seafood. I loved the total package in a seafood Newburg and New Orleans gumbo. The servings were well prepared and presented and the prices were a good value for the service and food. We don’t go into Buckhead that much but this will be a place high on our list.

The Atlanta Fish Market is one of the best dining experiences you will have in the city. Clean, friendly, valet parking, simply everything you expect in a high-end restaurant. Our group of six had a 7:30 reservation and were promptly seated when we arrived a few minutes early. The wine selection was excellent. Our appetizers—“Sweet & Spicy” Calamari and Shrimp Tempura was bursting with flavor. The bread they served prior to the appetizers was warm and fresh, and the butter melted into the bread for a soothing taste. For my entree, I order the Georgia Mountain Trout Amandine with Toasted Almonds, Brown Butter, Thin Green Beans, Yukon Potato Mash. Wonderful x 100. Everything was cooked perfectly. The only issue I have with the entire evening is when they brought out the entrees—they carried the plates so that one of the plates had a bowl on the plate of food. I hate when they stack plates or bowls on top of the food you are about to eat. It may not have been smack-dab on top of the food, but it was close enough. Just make two trips. After dinner, the coffee was lukewarm. They apologized and brought fresh coffee. That was a small issue that is hardly worth mentioning. The service was excellent—very attentive and friendly, and most importantly, they accommodated the birthday celebration with a chocolate desert that was phenomenal. Overall, everyone had a great evening and enjoyed their meals. We look forward to returning soon.

Sushi was great! And everyone working was very friendly and helpful. However, the crab salad plate was not worth the price. The atmosphere wasn’t great and definitely not worth the covid risk.

Celebration dinner with friends. Superb meal, ordered the scampi lobster & seafood plate. Chocolate explosion dessert & special dessert from chef. Wonderful appetizers and drinks. Exceptional server. 5 star experience.

You can’t miss Atlanta Fish Market when driving up- there is HUGE metal fish statue as you enter the parking lot. It’s located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta near lots of shopping and hotels. The fish is really really fresh and cooked many ways, from plain to fancy. My fave appetizer is the crab fritters. They are not crab cakes. Those are also on the menu and are excellent- all crab, no filler. The fritters are light and crispy; served with house-made potato chips and a tangy creamy sauce. The broiled and fried seafood platters are big enough to share. Service is efficient and friendly. Valet parking only ($2).

Had lunch here today after a business meeting. It had been a few years so I wasn’t sure it was still a good option. I’m taking the time to write to say IT IS! Our seafood was fabulous, fresh, well seasoned and beautifully plated. Please go and support this classic restaurant in business!

Our first visit to this restaurant. Amazing display of fresh fish and seafood . We started with a bowl of Fresh Savannah Crab Bisque anda creamy New England Clam Chowder. Our next course while enjoying a Pinot Noir from Oregon was Key West stone crabs and their famous fresh Maine lobster roll, which I thought a seasoning broke the freshness and sweetness taste of the lobster. Service was good and friendly.

It has been years since I have been here, but had positive experiences with my Mom's 80th bday and daughters wedding rehearsal dinner. My son is turning 34 so we decided to spend it at the Atlanta Fish mark. Lobster rolls we fantastic. Got the chilled ones on their recommendation. Have never tried the warm. My daughter had suchi which was very good,my soon to be DIL had a beautiful crab cake and the birthday boy, clam chowder. Service was great although it did seem they were running a littel short staffed. They even had a quesidilla for my two grandsons, Thanks ATlanta Fish market for anohter great meal!

Went for a Christmas dinner with family and everyone thought their meals were great. Two had a cajun grouper, one had sole and one tuna. All were excellent. I was in town for the holidays but would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want fresh fish

Visited Atlanta for a reunion and had dinner at Atlanta Fish Market. Food was fabulous. Split an iceberg wedge salad. Had the pecan crust salmon trout - cooked perfectly. Someone else had cashew pepper swordfish - very tasty. Side of potato puree was good. For drinks we had a draft beer and a spiced granny smith cocktail - good drinks. Great service by Andreea. Wish we had one of these places back home. Hope to revisit this place - very fresh, well-cooked food and friendly service!

Jessi was a fantastic server, service was amazing. From the cocktails 🍸, food and birthday dessert all was a great experience, we have visited the bar area only and I was surprised for my birthday dinner. Octopus and Shrimp cocktail was perfect and the fried Lobster and Snapper were super Yummy 😋. Thank you 😊

Been here several times. Always quality seafood. Good service . Only negative is hard surfaces and loud.

This restaurant has one of the best seafood I have ever had. The clams, the scallops, the crabs, the shrimps... eveything is so tasty! The service was good although a little bit slow. The atmosphere is very interesting.

Atlanta Fish Market boasts fresh seafood in an upscale establishment. We went for lunch and felt slightly under dressed as there is a dress code sign at the host stand, but they still seated us no issue. Our waiter was very kind and informative about the menu and the specials. I had a Mahi Reuben that was one of the better sandwiches I have had in recent memory. All in all this was a very enjoyable lunch and I would not mind going back here for a nice dinner.

Good for informal dining with plenty of space and a variety of seating arrangements. Pleasant informal service with fresh fish and a wide choice of other, including local, dishes

There was some talk about this restaurant being very highly rated in Atlanta a number of years earlier so that became the destination of choice to end the day's adventure. The decor was interesting and service was very good but the food for the price of it was not as exciting as we were hoping for so it was a mild disappointment. Maybe an off day so I would try again.

we were in Atlanta for a conference at the GWCC and had a hospitality dinner in one of their private rooms on the 2nd floor. The room was a little worn and the food wasn't that spectacular. Considering that we were in the downtown core, it was a little far for just regular

The food was delicious, and the service was above and beyond my expectations. Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and was just wonderful. I had the stuffed shrimp, and my husband had the grouper francese. Both were flavorful and cooked perfectly.

When we arrived the table we reserved was not available. Disappointing but the management and entire team made the evening so memorable. They found us an even better table, provided a complimentary glass of wine and other treats. But what was most spectacular was the food and service. Try the shrimp cocktail, old school starter but so tasty. Excellent fish and sides, arriving piping hot and perfectly paced.

My husband and I had dinner here and were very disappointed. The food didn't taste fresh at all and the cocktails were tiny and not very good either. Everything was over-priced. Feels like a tourist trap instead of the fine-dining restaurant we expected. There are MUCH better seafood restaurants in Atlanta. Go elsewhere!

Oct 15 , 8Pm reservation. Very disappointing....having dined at old Fish Market. A food machine with rushed service, not attentive, sticky and worn table. Not worth $200.- Quality of wine glasses ..1980. Meat undercooked. Server clumsy and of poor appearance. When living in Atlanta. Panos and Paul was always an experience. Sat in bar area less noisy . Great valet parking " They jam them in and out and many complaints"

Visited with a friend and I had the fried shrimp which were large and cooked nicely. My friend ordered the lobster which was not to her liking and it was quickly and professionally replaced. Her second choice the shrimp she really enjoyed. Would visit again. Thanks for the wonderful customer service

We like a special Saturday night out every week and liked Pricci’s so tried this sister restaurant. Much more casual feeling. I had ordered a cucumbertini and the waiter apologized that it was not in a martini glass because the bar had run out. That was no problem, but the martini was close to room temperature. Our waiter must have noticed because he came back and asked if I wanted a glass of ice. That did help, but it was pretty sad. Food was fine, nothing special. Would not return.

First time here and we plan to return. The food was really good! Appetizers included Pow Pow Shrimp, Sweet and Spicy Calamari, Kale salad, and Shrimp Cocktail. For entrees, we had Lobster Scampi, which was stuffed with lobster, shrimp, and scallops; hubby had Stuffed Lobster with a crab meat stuffing, and sis had the grilled fish. All dishes were served hot and on hot plates. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was lively. Service was great and valet parking only $2! I just have to find an easier way to get there from Loganville - GPS took me through city streets the whole way.

If you are looking for an amazing meal, AFM is the place to go. I highly recommend the halibut or scallops.

Crabcakes some of the best I have had. Comes with nice accompaniment of mashed potatoes and green beans. Love that crabcakes not “fishy” but cake is about 100% pure crab. Very nice dinner!

When I first moved to Atlanta 25 years ago, this became my favorite restaurant. I love seafood. The service & food were amazing. I haven't been back for several years because the service had gotten so poor. The food also had gone downhill. I love the Buckhead Life Group restaurants, but the Fish Market dropped off my list. Last night we were invited for a friends birthday. I was shocked at how expensive some of the items had become. The lobster, the fried lobster tail & the crab legs were so expensive I was appalled. My wife & I shared a lettuce wedge ($11.95). It was absolutely delicious but $12 for a lettuce wedge with some bacon & blue cheese. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass hong kong style ($36.95), it was delicious. I had the lightly breaded fried shrimp ($28). As described they were lightly breaded & there were 7 Jumbo shrimp. It came with fries & cole slaw. The problem was the shrimp were overly salty. I didn't send it back because nothing else on the menu appealed to me. Our server Sergii was okay. He didn't bring us the delicious hot bread until my wife asked for it after our entrees were served. The bread came as we were almost finished. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their dinner. I gave it 3 stars because my shrimp weren't very good & the selfish prices are absurd. I can buy a 2 lb lobster at a market for $25 & cook it myself. The fish market charges $39 lb & the smaller lobster they had was 2.8 lbs, that's over $100. Sorry, somethings wrong here.

Our lunch was wonderful. Our server was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. She was also very friendly. I had the Chilean sea bass. Perfectly cooked and very well presented. My husband had the shrimp salad which was full of fresh shrimp. We had a great time and will be back!

My husband and I had a great first visit to the Atlanta Fish Market. Our server was friendly and the food came quickly and was very good. We just moved to Atlanta and so we are excited to add this restaurant to a favorite one to visit.

I ordered via Uber Eats and I must say that I was not impressed at all. I ordered the fried seafood platter and I did not get my money's worth. The pieces of fish were very small, the shrimp were large and good. The scallops were very chewy. The amount of cole slaw that I was given was a fork full....period. I threw most of it away. The sushi was hot. Sushi is not supposed to be hot. The bread pudding was amazing. I could have used some more rum sauce though. Spending over $100 on mediocre food was extremely disappointing. I will not eat there again. I wish I could have gotten my money back.

Vincent was an incredible server ! He made the experience delighful. Sea bass and crab cakes were hands down best ever!

I ordered a bowl of clam chowder, as well as a Rainbow roll and was disappointed with the overall averageness of my selection, especially for the price. Even worse, my clam chowder was very gritty - obviously the clams were not cleaned well. I did order delivery, and sadly the prices are jacked up approx. $2.00 for each item- which would had been okay, IF it was worth it.

Such a great seafood restaurant. We always enjoy our food. The fish is really fresh and prepared perfectly with different choices such as broiled, blackened, Asian and so on. The vegetables always add to the meal. Nice wedge salad appropriate for sharing! We had halibut, sole, tuna, salmon trout and flounder...everyone was happy!

Quietly the best restaurant in Atlanta! A delight to eat fish and seafood, with fresh options and well crafted by the kitchen, depending on the availability of fish in the day! This is sensational, because we can eat the fish of the day with an impressive freshness! In addition to sauces and delicious accompaniments!

The server was the best! We had issues upon issue with our food, order, table allocation, almost everything! But the gracious server had all the answers. Had it not been for the server, the rating would have been much lower.

Always fantastic dinner at the bar with Connor, Sophia and team. Loved the sushi. Service fantastic. Great drinks and husband loved the grouper.

Date night with husband of 35 years to Fish market is always a treat Great service. Crab cakes are always the best in Atl. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection. Light, flakey and not fishy tasting. Bread pudding is always a 10 Highly recommend!!

When I left Atlanta 20+ years ago Fishmarket had just opened, it was great then and it is still great. Had wonderful Crab Cakes made the right way.

We recently ate in the bar area of a long-time favorite, Atlanta Fish Market. While the main dining area is very nice, the bar area looks like an Applebee's and has little or no charm or character. From a food standpoint, the crab cake is not nearly as good as the ones served at sister restaurants Chops (when it was open) and Bistro Niko. The fried lobster tail is till amazing, but the appetizer portion we got seemed a good bit smaller than the 6 oz. listed on the menu. Service was okay, but an acknowledged request for bread was never met.

Atlanta Fish Market is the standard for not only the freshest fish and culinary presentation, but also some of the best service in the dining industry. It's a five star experience led by the owners, management & staff but not stuffy. Shout out to Hayden at the bar who suggested the most amazing smoked sushi dish. Lobster by the loads and so flavorful! The restaurant is beautiful downstairs, the private event area upstairs is huge and the team takes care of every detail, all you have to do is come and enjoy.

Seafood is fresh, well seasoned and cooked nicely. Plenty of options for seafood lovers from sushi, grouper, trout, lobster and more.

A large informal seafood restaurant with pleasant service. The seafood sampler was more than adequate with my dining companions having plenty of left-overs to take home. The menu is extensive, and the service attentive.

We made a reservation for Saturday, Dec. 28th. We arrived, and the host seated us at the lower level, which I refer to as the market area. I requested that we are moved to the upper level, which I prefer. We ordered the half and half cocktail because I wanted the two adult aged sons to try both the shrimp and the crab. The boys were so impressed with the shrimp that they each ordered the fried shrimp dinner. I wasn’t thrilled but decided to have them taste some new items via my wife, and I ordered a couple of dishes other than fish, which they are already familiar with from our time vacationing on the Gulf. My wife and I ordered the Alaskan Red King crab legs and the Stone Crabs. The plan was for the boys to try some of each. My wife also had a glass of Pinot Noir. I questioned our waiter about the size of the stone crabs as I wanted to make sure of the size of the jumbo and colossal stone crabs that were listed on the menu. The waiter said the stone crabs would be the size of his hand. I have pictures of those stone crabs available if anyone cares. They were so small that I didn’t even offer them to my sons. As you know, small stone crabs are mostly shell. The crab legs were also tiny, especially for $64.95. Even the seven fried shrimp were at best 25-30 count. Our bill came to $318.56. We reported our issues to the Buckhead Life restaurant group with no success. In my opinion, customer service is noI a priority for them. I have steered my business lunches to other seafood restaurants, and in fact, have further boycotted all Buckhead Life restaurants.

A totally wonderful experience! The bartenders were excellent and the food just couldn’t be any better! Tuna steak melted in my mouth...

it was my last day in atlanta and i wanted seafood..,not pappadeaux. im so glad i came here the salmon was awesome i was so full. a little pricey but worth it...the name through me off but this has just replaced papppeadeaux in my book
Many choices, excellent fish
The grouper was outstanding, some of the best I have ever had. The menu was extensive, and I think anyone who likes seafood could find something to their liking. We were able to get a table without reservations. The service was a bit slow, but the staff were very pleasant. The only reason I would not give 5 stars is that the ambiance is a little less than I would expect for the price.
