Great North Portland Pizza Place

By Mikpar |

We get three north Portland-themed pizzas every couple of months for the Arbor Lodge neighborhood association meeting. Everyone loves them and they are devoured during the meeting. Yumm!!

Outstanding pizza on a cold day

Have been here for lunch the past few weekends...... the pizza is outstanding, atmosphere is no frills and I highly recommend this as a lunch place or a take out pizza place

Great local pizza

By LuluPDX |

Their gluten-free pizza crust is very good, as is the rest of the pizza! We usually order the atomic and it is good with either pesto or red sauce.

The owner was a really nice lady. I liked the local cg art on the walls. Very cool. And the guy in the back flipping pizza dough was awsome!!!

Portland Pizza Week 2019

By Sam DeLiso |

Stop #4 of my 2019 Portland Pizza Week adventure featured Atomic's 'Spicy Chester' loaded with grilled chicken, red onions, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, pepperoncini, and you guessed it, Flamin' Hot Cheetos. The slices were covered in toppings and definitely filling. Not something I'm crazy about or would ever go out of my way to try, but glad I did since it was a rather unique twist on a traditional dish along my path to another Atlas Pizza. Friendly staff and quick service for a Friday lunch hour. Thanks! Best, ~S DeLiso Did It "Honest Reviews of Real Places" @delisodidit (IG, FB, YouTube)

Pizza in the Neighborhood

By BigD_CA |

I stopped here for dinner one night on a business trip after the TripAdvisor app tried to take to a restaurant that was closed (boo!). I kept driving down the street and thought I was out of luck when the street seemed to be entering a more non-commercial area. Fortunately, this place was nearby and I decided to stop in. I had to park around the corner as they don't have much parking, but it wasn't a long walk. Coming in, I wasn't sure what to expect and had to ask for some assistance in ordering. The person at the counter kindly walked me through the menu and soon I had ordered a pizza. The pizza didn't take too long and the ingredients tasted really fresh. The thin crust pizza was well done and I enjoyed every bite. The toppings were in the right proportions and the sauce had a great taste too. They have ice cream, but I was stuffed after dinner. You won't go home hungry. I might try their calzones if I'm in town again.

Nice little neighborhood pizza shop

Had the "Paul Bunyon" pizza and really enjoyed it. My friend had a calzone and said it was great. Nice selection of local beers on tap. Will definitely go back again the next time I'm in town.

Great spot for grouos

We visited this pizza joint this evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our large group took up the entire back yard of the restaurant and it felt like we were at home. Relaxed atmosphere, great pizza, clean facility, and neighborhood feel. Great choice!

Above Avg Pizza Non Pretentious

By Eric F |

Went there with my daughter and a couple of her friends. The wait staff was nice and helpful although we were the only ones there. The pizza was fresh and had a great crust. Very informal and a definite local pizza joint. AVG pizza pricing for a local place like this.

Not bad-not great!

By MarieP2005 |

It was nothing to write home about but the service and space are good. Food was ready quickly for pick up and it was reasonably priced. The gal that checked me out was very pleasant and quick to get my food. Lot's of topping options and sauce was good but the crust wasn't my favorite.

Taken a step down, but still OK

I hate writing less than complimentary reviews of places that have a decent product and hard working people, but the quality of the pizza seemed to have gone down since their move to the new space just down the block. IN essence the crust got too thick and the overall pizza was too thick also. I wanted the thinner version from the old spot. Still on a friday night the place was packed and so it fulfills the notion of a decent neighborhood pizza place, which many lack in portland. You won't be blown away but you won't leave hungry either.

Solid Slices-Pizza Week

By tfizzle |

This place serves up solid slices. I'm a pepperoni person and they do an admirable job. Good crust, sauce and just the right amount of cheese. One of the better slices in North Portland.

Comfort Food

By taco40 |

If you've spent any time in Portland, you know that the small neighborhood businesses in the city give it a unique flavor. Atomic Pizza on Killingsworth is just another reason to feel good about the Rose City. From the outside, on a dreary cold winter night I expected a greasy spoon. But when you look at the two or three pizzas on display for purchasing by the slice, you expect a less-than-clear view as the glass is close to the kitchen where greasy smoke tends to adhere to glass. Not here. The glass was sparkling. As one who tends to be turned off by restaurants who act as if the health department inspections are never going to happen, I appreciate a place that looks like you won't have an upset tummy a couple hours later. And the bathroom is clean, too. Yes, attention to detail, even in a small busy place brings folks back. There are about 8 or 9 tables. On this Monday evening after 6, most were filled in this quiet, cozy dining room with a basketball game showing by the kitchen and a football game on the tube in the dining room. The pizza arrived quickly. The crust was light and flaky. The amounts of sausage, Canadian bacon, cheese, and other toppings were just right on the Paul Bunyun pizza that we ordered. The staff (cashier and pizza guy) were friendly and efficient. My guess is that they are treated well by management because they treat the customers well. Being partial to a good Italian pizza, my rating is very good. I don't think they are trying for the Italian tastes and seasonings that I find necessary for an excellent pizza rating, but this is a good value and we'll make an effort to return. If you want the feel of sitting around the family table eating comfort food with a choice of three or four craft beers on tap, Atomic Pizza is a good place to try.

I love this crust!

I love this pizza. The crust is both light and airy, the sauce is not overbearing, and the toppings are appropriately proportioned.

Good pizza and sandwich

By Vicar100 |

The pizza slice was pleasantly spicy and my sandwich was very tasty. This place used to be a neighborhood Italien but now an adequate pizza place
