Great gyros

By HoHo |

This place has great overall food but really like their gyros. The staff is very friendly as well and location is right downtown.

Fabulous

Had a great meal experience - we had a gyro plate and a chicken plate. Great service and value. Plenty of outdoor seats so weather needs to be a good.

Pleasant experience

This was the first time I ordered and I was very surprised. It was recommended by a co-worker. I ordered for delivery and it was quick and I was surprised that the driver did not get lost. The combo plate was plenty of food for two people. The chicken and lamb was cook perfectly and the the rice was flavorful. The salad made the meal complete and it was the last thing to get eaten. This was the first time but it will not be the last time I will order. The price was reasonable and the amount of food was large. I would recommend to everyone especially if they are wanting to try something new and can not decide what to get.

Nice quick falafel

By Dan M |

Stopped in after visiting UT campus which is just up the street. Food was fresh, tasty and good value for the portions. Restaurant is clean. If we lived in Austin this would definitely be a place where we would frequent!

Excellent falafel, good otherwise.

The falafel is the thing here - hot, crisp, and crunchy while texturally complex at the same time (the inside m'friend, which is both soft, and has the occasional toothy feel). The rest of the food is good, but oh, those falafel! And the rice to go with it! (And yeah, for you hummus fanatics, that's good too). BTW, the whole thing is in the mini food court next to the "tiniest bar in texas" thing. The point being, get thee some falafel, wander over, and have one or more beers...

Great food

Great place to grab a bite to eat and relax at the bar or patio. I recommend the hummus or gyro, both were excellent.

Best Mediterranean option in Austin

By elliot w |

The best experience we have had at a restaurant. We love Mediterranean food and they have everything from babaganoush, hummus , gyros etc. We asked for a few falafel balls and they gave us a whole platter no charge. Best service high quality food nicest people around. This is a must!

Had the combo with lamb and chicken and some falafel on the side. The falafel was a bit overdone in the fryer, but the lamb and chicken were tasty and th Mediterranean rice was very good. This place sits in a little courtyard next to the Tiniest Bar in Texas. It's a great location if you have your dog with you and you want to enjoy a pretty evening. I'd go again.

A must do!

Austin's Habibi offers some great Mediterranean food for a great price. The chicken with rice, the falafel, the lamb are delicious! A neat place to grab quick, healthy food and some fresh air with al fresco dining. Located right next to the Tiniest Bar in Texas if you want wine, etc, with your meal. Dogs are welcome. Saw many locals getting takeout the night I visited.

Average Gyro

By Steve D |

Gyros are one of my fave foods so I wanted to give this place a try. I ordered the #2, which is a Chicken Gyro. The gyro was a decent size and had lots of chicken. It had spicy red sauce on the gyro which was not very good and does not go good with a gyro. It has white sauce, but I don't think it was tzatziki sauce, which is a must on a gyro. They don't serve any drinks. You have to go next door to the bar and no one was working there. The prices are reasonable. The service was friendly but very slow as there was no one else there.
