Great food and service

By qhunnyb |

This is a happening place even on a Thursday evening. We got here pretty early and the place filled up as we were eating. The servers are very attentive always ready to change the grill and get you more meat or whatever food or beverage order you may have. We ordered AYCE and got 3 orders of bulgogi (very good), 2 orders garlic beef, garlic chicken, lemon chicken, pork ribs, ramen soup, shrimp tempura, and gyoza. To me the bulgogi and the garlic beef are the best meats we tried. I love the flavor of both and that they are both tender and not too fatty. The green salad was perfect with the meat, I didn't have to eat rice because of the salad. I just wish they had some sweet potato (like at other restaurants) and had some onions to cook on the grill as well. Like I said service here is really attentive unlike Gen Korean BBQ in Northridge.

Delicious food great prices!

This is an all you can eat Korean BBQ but they also have ala carte which we did. It is such a good deal for anybody that has a big appetite for 24.99 with so many food choices including all kinds of meat chicken and fish! Will return with my husband as I am not a big carnivore. I opted for the hot stone pot with tofu which was amazing and steamed shrimp dumplings!

Needs improvement

I frequently go to this place. My favorite is the brisket. The first plate was about 40% fat and on closer examination some of the meat had dark portions that looked moldy. I got up and placed it in the cleanup tray and ordered a second plate of brisket. The second plate was quite lean and really wonderful. The bulgogi soup was served in a bowl with a couple of large chips on the edge . From what I have read this is a health dept violation. I really like this place but today was not up to the quality that I have come to expect. I will give them another chance.

All you can eat Korean BBQ.

This is an all you can eat Korean BBQ. They bring the meats, you cook it yourself on the grill at your table. We were stuffed by the time we left. Good food, fun, and entertaining.

the best AYCE Korean barbeque I've been to....

By Jomama_Fosho |

came here because I was craving for some Korean barbeque and they have good reviews on yelp. saw the place but I felt "IFFY" because the area isn't that nice and didn't really see the restaurant name in the front. I almost drove away because I thought the restaurant moved to a different location or was permanently closed. Then I saw some family walking out this dark tinted establishment with an "open" sign lit up and I smelled Korean barbeque. On top of this establishment is a man holding a globe, I think...and it's all in gold. so got out of the car, walked in to a room that has arcade games and some sofa chairs. And I'm like - where's the restaurant? Well, there's another door in front of me and I slowly opened it thinking it might be a bar with pool tables.....but what I saw are a bunch of tables with the grill in the middle. Yes! It is the right restaurant but this restaurant is called AYCE GOGI. the address is the same except the city is now "van nuys" and not Los Angeles. Anyway, for $15 AYCE lunch, we were stuffed! You can order 4 at a time, so we ordered shrimp, bulgogi and 2 orders of Kalbi. the shrimp are huge and they are peeled. food is good and ended up ordering 4 more. Note: if you know some Korean side dishes that are on the menu, you can order it. for example, I love Japchae but it is not on their menu but since I asked for it, they made it for me. Also, you will pay Ala carte prices if you have a lot of leftover meat. Not really sure how much the ala carte cost. anyway, I recommend this place....just remember it is the establishment with dark tinted windows and if you see a statue of a guy holding a globe on top of their roof, then you arrived at right location. Enjoy

Best Korean BBQ

If you never try this type of food, you must go!!!! All you can eat.....the tables has a grill in the middle and you cook your own food. You can start with the appetizers, inmediately you choose the type of meat that you want and they bring to your table and cook; they have side to accompany your food! Meats really fresh and well marinated. The service is excellent and they are always prepared for your orders. Highly recommend!!??

Good deal!

The Service: The service is efficient and attentive. They changed our grill a few time when we were there. The restaurant is clean. The Food: Lunch AYCE $17.95. You can order everything same as dinner menu. Besides the side dishes, there are many varieties of soup & rice to choose from. Many meat choices as well. My favorite meat choices are pork belly, kalbi and steak. They are all fresh meat, not frozen. If you live in the valley and don't want to drive to Korean Town, this will be the place to go. The Parking: Plaza parking (free)

Korean BBQ and pinball. It doesn't get better than this!

Delicious high quality meats! Not all the tables are open because I think they are short staffed. But t service was a good and there was lots to choose from. Also we enjoyed the pinball in back!

Dine in finally open!

By Alfred S |

Love this place and I'm so glad they are open for dine in again! While other all you can eat kbbq have good quality meat this place has not only good quality meat but a great assortment of sides included! Sides like spicy beef soup, ramen, dumpling soup, beef bibimbap, kalbi soup, kimchi fried rice, and many more! The service is always great and everything is delicious! One of the only places that gives you the shrimp already peeled and isn't all mushy when you cook it. For you keto people you can get a salad on the side instead of rice and don't forget to ask for fresh garlic to go with your meal. I drive almost an hour to eat here at least once a month! If you like kbbq AND want a little more than just meat you have to try this place out! I almost forgot you also get frozen yogurt for dessert too cleanse your palate. Sooo good!

Outstanding Korean BBQ

By PowerTrippers |

If you're not familiar with this kind of restaurant, you order for the table and everything is served family style. You cook the meats using the grill that is on your table. Prices here are a little spendy, but the food is outstanding! We especially liked the beef bulgogi but we tried nearly everything and it was all very good. If you don't usually eat in restaurants that serve exotic foods, make sure you try the brains, the octopus, etc. It's all excellent.

WOW!!!

My new go-to KBBQ spot in the valley. Korean BBQ, drinks, and pinball??! How smart is that? There are good options for meat, there's a bar in the back with pinball machines. The service is great. The meat marinade is really good. Everyone gets brisket and bulgogi and it's delicious here. I really like the mesquite pork, kimchi sausage, and spicy kalbi. Aside from their meat options they have extras you can get like fried rice, ramen, bimbimbap, steamed egg, miso soup, and a lot more. To top it off, for yogurt they give you frozen yogurt. Delicious. During peak dinner hours the wait isn't too bad and there is plenty of parking available. They have plenty of TV's to watch whatever game is on at that time. They also offer $2.50/pint of Hite during Dodger games.

Great food!

By Jeff W |

Delish food, excellent service. Had to wait a few minutes to be seated, directed to the bar in the rear. Good drinks! Seated quickly at a table all set with appetizers (kim chi). Big screens for ball games yet quiet enough to talk with freinds. Good food Good service

Excellent food, service, and PINBALL!

By boymomdfw |

We were drawn to this place for the pinball machines. We had a great time playing the pinball machines. They were 50 cents a play. Everything was in working condition. Most were Limited Edition machines. After playing we had dinner in the front part in the restaurant. We had an all you can eat dinner and we cooked our selected meats in the grill. The wait staff changed our grill plate out several times.

I need that Black Pepper Beef marinade!

By Shawn L |

My sister and I decided to get one of her favorites, Korean BBQ. We were not from the area, so we didn't know how far we were from Burbank, but we enjoyed this place. I was particular to the Black Pepper Beef. I need to learn how to replicate it. My sister order the Tempura Chicken Nuggets and those were some of the best chicken nuggets I have had in a while.

More power for your Service. Nice selection of food and drinks for everyone. Good Service. And kind staff. Kind staff…..

One of the better AYCE KBBQ I've had

By D L |

I had dinner here with a friend and of course we got the AYCE. It was his second or third time but this was my first, and we had this place on our list. Meats were good, and everything else just complimented it. Everything is refillable too so no one here will starve. Great to have seafood as well, so for the price it is well worth it, but get there early or you'll have to wait. And also expect to get food coma.

Awesome Korean BBQ

By Joe S |

Food was excellent. Lots of flavor in the meat, fried rice was excellent as well. Service was very good. They change out the grill frequently and bring water when needed. Would definitely come back.

If you are in the Valley and want Korean barbecue this is the place.

By Louis D |

I live in LA and lived in Korea Town for 3 years. I love this place it was an old joint that the owner went to as a child, bought and made it brand new and sparkly with friendly and sharp servers. Great place to eat and watch a ballgame. The all you can eat is a great deal, bulgoki, kalbi, pork belly, brisket, and garlic beef all I can vouch for and imagine everything is good. Must have some sides, bibim bap, noodles, rice paper. Go there hungry, have some soju and enjoy.

Great KBBQ in the SanFernando Valley

By Magician-on-the-go |

Another Korean BBQ restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and when we were checking the Yelp reviews there was a link to AYCE Gogi, so we also checked it out. The original recommended restaurant only had a 2-star rating and AYCE Gogi had a five-start rating. It was a no brainer we headed to AYCE Gogi and were not disappointed. From the beginning of the meal to the end of the meal it was a five-star experience. There are plenty of meat choices, from beef, chicken, port, seafood, Bibimbaps, soups and more. You won’t go away hungry. You have two hours to complete the AYCE food and the cost was $24.95 per person. You can order up to four meat selections at a time and when you run low they ask you what you would like to try next. The service was outstanding. I think they changed our grill four times and at other Korean BBQ’s you’re lucky to get one grill change. All the servers work in unison and keep your table clean of used dishes. One server by the name of Jovani (sp?) was exceptional and provided us with $1,000,000 service. Then when they bring the bill, they also service a small paper cup of Yogurt to top off your meal. All in all it was a great experience and we will diffidently be returning to AYCE Gogi.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

By Igor V |

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Dirty, very dirty restaurant. The menus are filthy and so is the floor and the kitchen. Ordered food to go. The meat was burnt to charcoal on one side. It tasted bitter from the char. the fried rice must have been days old, I would not be surprised if it was reused leftovers. The spicy noodles, were just that, just spicy and had no other flavor. I will never come back for sure!!!!

Superior service

By 5strz |

The service was excellent! All items were brought out immediately once ordered and our server, Jose, checked in frequently. Everything we ordered tasted great. Will be returning.

LOVE the size of the rolls

By Jenny K |

The rolls allow you to sample without committing to a full size roll. Sushi was fresh and the price point was excellent feeding three for just over $60.

FUNKY PLACE WITH WONDERFUL KOREAN BBQ

By Kris W |

When I say "funky", I mean that in a good way. A very good way. My friend wanted to try Korean BBQ and I mistakenly thought that Ayce was a place I'd been to many years ago. It's in a less than lovely part of Van Nuys, but that didn't deter us. It's a large restaurant, with booths and tables, completely decorated in gray and black (tres hip!). We asked for a booth and only had to wait about 5 minutes, while they re-set one. They got us from the waiting room and the table was already set with the various condiments that accompany Korean bbq everywhere when we were seated. Our young waiter was charming and helpful as could be, since my friend asks a lot of questions and he (the waiter) knew this was our first time there, no matter what. I almost forgot to mention that it's all-you-can-eat for $23.95 - and it really is! The service was impeccable. Even the owner came over a couple of times to make sure we were happy and offered to show us the bar, which is only used on the weekends, after our meal. The food kept coming until we were so stuffed we couldn't handle another bite. Then they did, indeed, show us the bar: It's way in the back, behind the kitchen, and it looks like a real, live cocktail lounge with pinball machines. NOTE: They do not serve hard alcohol - only beer and wine, with drinks made from Soju (what i call fake vodka). NOTE #2: We didn't see a single Asian person working in the restaurant, including the owner. That made no difference to the service or the food, and the Asian customers didn't seem to mind at all...! My friend's mid-20s, ultra-sophisticated daughter told her the next day that she and her friends had already been to Ayce and really liked it. So did we!
