Wonderful Restaurant!

By arleneb5900 |

On December 23rd, 2014, although the restaurant was very crowded, I was grateful for the attentive service I received from the Manager named Andre and from a wonderful server named Sandra. The food was brought to the table promptly and was warm and was served with beautiful presentation. My friend ordered avocado rolls while I ordered the Chicken Club flat bread pizza and artichoke bites. There is a wide variety of selections from burgers to seafood to pizzas and the price was reasonable. Beautiful ambience and a great place to bring families. I would definitely recommend it ti friends and business associates. My hats off to the attentive waitstaff. They are extremely professional and cordial and greet everyone with a smile. I loved my dining experience here.

Great time

Had a great time, Andrea provided exceptional service. Would highly recommend

BJ's Brewhouse -- Pflugerville Texas

By vahat1 |

Wow!! What a great place. Ordered the ribs, thought they were gluten free. The ribs are, just not the spice rub on them. Manager was so concerned that he offer to replace the ribs with pork chops. Then because of the mixup our meal was free. Love this place!!

DeMonte was The Best!

By Caron S |

DeMonte was the best. The food was fantastic, but the service was outstanding! He was very attentive and responded before we had to ask!

Decent lunch

By Victoria |

Good lunch with friends. Fast and friendly service, huge menu and well-presented environment. Would definitely return with family.

Food was OK, but service was LAcking!

By ghostrider1964 |

Had a burger and fries with my boss and coworkers, Burger was ok, Fries were barely warm. My tea barely had any color and tasted like sweet water. Server made no attempt to remedy allowed my glass to sit empty. Brought a empty bottle of ketchup to a table of four with all us having fries. Then disappeared so we never got to get any more. I have eaten at other BJ's that fr exceded this one!

Great beer selection and Broccoli Cheese Soup

By Stephen W |

I have to give them a big thumbs up for the soup. By far some of the best Broccoli cheese soup I've ever had. Fantastic draft beer selection. They have their own brand plus a ton of other craft beers from all over the US. The service was great and food was great. I can't believe that of all the times that I have been to Austin I've never tried this place out. Glad I took the chance. I'll be back.

Great for Families!!

By Claire C |

This is my 4yr old’s favorite restaurant!! We went for his birthday! Emilee was amazing and so kind to our kids!! Thank you for making it an amazing night!!

Fabulous Food and Good Service!

By Kitty T |

My husband's favorite is the NY strip steak. It is so tastefully and juicy. I like their pizza a lot. The pizza tastes very differently from other chain stores. It is freshly made. We tried their pasta the other time and it was good as well. However, it might be a little noisy since their sport bar is just next to the restaurant. If this matters to you, you can always ask to be seated in an area away from the bar. The wait staffs are always very polite and professional.

Ask for DeMonte! Great service!

By Cedric M |

The restaurant was light on staff tonight, however DeMonte was an absolute delight and made our experience very pleasurable.

Disappointed

By ROUTE66CENTENNIAL |

I went in to get something simple as the Fried Artichokes as they are the only place I know that makes this as an appetizer , more should do this. Anyways, the bartender was very cold, the other guys sitting there were not good for a family to see as the shirt he was wearing said in big bold letters F&*( and I was shocked they allowed him to sit there and eat and drink. Anyways, nothing special for my favorite place to get Fried Artichoke Hearts... Suggestion, get them as take away only.

Food a Good Value, Drinks Not so much.

By Bucky63 |

I have eaten there on several occasions. The food has always been above average. BJ's is a brewhouse so a beer is in order. There prices seem more expensive compared to other places serving micro beers.

Not Impressed

By divaprima5 |

We tried this restaurant and really weren't impressed. The food was mediocre, service was not that great either.

Neat place

By jad20182018 |

I had never been to this place before so we decided to try it. they have a wide range of different food choices. they also have some craft beers. I thought some of the food was over priced. Food was ok coming from a picky eater.

FEELS LIKE ONE OF A KIND !

By CowpokerMike |

BJ's doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. Way more upscale than Chili's. The décor is high quality, the beer brewed locally, and the food options are plentiful. Our law office often goes en mass for lunch, and the lunch menu is very reasonable. You can also still order from the full menu. It's tempting to order their beer offerings, even if it is lunch on a workday (we don't), but have sampled their choices and they are amazing ! The food is always excellent and the all you can eat soup and salad is by server , not buffett and the choices are all high quality.

Had soup and salad

By LParnell |

Had clam chowder and house salad. The chowder was nothing special and could have used more flavor. The salad was fresh. Was not a memorable lunch experience.

Love It!

By Lilah M |

My son and daughter-in law took me to BJ's to celebrate my birthday. I loved it. the restaurant was full, but the wait for seating was only about 10 minutes. Our waiter was knowledgable, friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. The portions were large and the pricing was more than fair (my entree was $15.95, but would have easily fed two people) For dessert, BJ's gave me a complimentary Pizookie for my Bday. I recommend the white chocolate macadamia nut pizookie... It was served hot and topped with ice cream... and tasted out of this world!!!

Nice evening meal

By Hippiechickchris |

We are frequent BJs diners and decided to try something different on this visit. Everything was prepared to our requests. Tried the turkey, roast beef and ham club and enjoyed it; one of the rare times I eat a sandwich! Had a new (to us) waitstaff, Alyssa, this evening. She got it all right, friendly but not overly so, remembered all our requests. Very efficient & a nice addition to the other competent staff.

Great service, great beer and good food.

By M_Tucker28 |

Derive was very good, our waitress was very attentive and pretty knowledgable about the beers, despite appearing to be fairly young. Both beers she recommended were excellent. We ordered the deep dish pizza which is no deeper than a pan crust pizza at Pizza Hut, but it tasted pretty good. The restaurant appears to be fairly new with an amazing looking bar.

Thank you MEL for the greatest time at BJs

By Pia E |

The food was delicious and we had the best of the best service, top tier service from MEL. I am genuinely excited to come back for my birthday as long as Mel Is my server I know it’s going to be great.

Love it, thank you Damonte!

By shalana j |

Damonte was engaging and funny, great service including recommendations to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. The service, food, and atmosphere were wonderful. Great way to spend time with family.

Great food

By 3NC-Travelers |

All of our food was delicious from appetizer to dessert. Nice atmosphere. Did not have to wait too long.

Dinner at BJ’s Brewhouse

By Albert H |

We were at BJ’s #471 on 11/18/2025 in Austin Texas. Alex was our server and he was excellent! He had a great personality, knew the menu well and provided outstanding service. Our food was delicious!

Great selection

By NDSeigler |

I generally like BJ's. This location is just average on the food quality. The selection however is good.

Great, healthy family food and good service - not fast food junk!

By wifforlif |

Great family restaurant with a wide variety on the menu. We were able to please both of our picky children with real food (as opposed to the typical fried nuggets). Ate here twice during our stay. Great service!

Very Nice Restaurant

By PLM |

We have eaten at several BJ's Restaurants and this one is just like the rest. It was very clean, the wait staff was very friendly and the food was good. We did not have to wait very long to get a table. The waiter was quick with our drinks and taking our order. Our food came out hot and was very good. The waiter was friendly and very attentive. We would eat here again and recommend it if you like good food and friendly people.

Solid food and service

By CharlieinTexas |

Great menu, lots of variety. Cut above most "chain" restaurants, but not a special place. Good "go to" place for a small group (5-10).

VERY GOOD

By jjsnork |

We visited BJ's for the first time today and are pleased to report we were pleased. Our server was a very nice girl and knew a lot about the menu choices. We ordered the WINGS with the house BBQ sauce as an appetizer and they were very tasty. They had bones in them, and for the same price one of their competitors offer bigger, boneless wings and they are much better. We split the California Chicken Burger with the large cut French fries, and it was plenty of food. I have to admit the fries were delicious, but the sandwich was disappointing. It had chicken, tomatoes, avocado's and bacon on sour dough toast. It was "OK", but a bit bland. I would have liked it much better if we had ordered it with play ol' mayo. The sauce was really boring and there wasn't enough of it. Another thing that was disappointing was the server brought our main meal before we were done with the appetizer which is always a bad move. We will watch for coupons and return when they offer some special deals like their competition, but we won't go out of our way again to go there. They offer a premiere membership where you earn points for food you order on your tab.

Large place, large menu - but friendly and comfortable too

By Michelle S |

We enjoyed our lunch at BJs. It is a large restaurant and was fairly busy on a Saturday lunchtime, but had just enough of a buzz without being too loud for us to have a conversation. Plenty of tables on different levels, plus bar seating. Lots of sports screens showing different games, which added interest, again without having them playing at volume so that diners cannot talk or relax if they wish to. BJs has one of the most extensive food and drinks menus I have seen in quite a while. Don't even try to read all of it! All I can say is that the ribs were brilliant, and the broccoli cheese soup in a sourdough bread bowl made a great choice for the vegetarian. We would happily return.

A fine dinner at BJ's

By Booker T |

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The price was reasonable. Our experience was very good. We will eat here again.

Good Late Night Service

By SCalCanz |

Enjoyed two late night dinners there--due to business engagements. Service was solid and the beer is always good with a nice selection of their own brews and many other craft beers. I ordered the Ahi Salad and it was good but should've had more tuna. It's our safety pick for late-night eating.

Amazing experience !

By Aspen A |

Sage was great & the manager + hostess not sure of their name but they all were superb! The effort to service to friendlyness

GREAT EXPERIENCE

By Alissa C |

Demonte served us and he was amazing!! Before we even noticed we were out of our drinks, he was bringing us new ones. He was very kind and polite.

Good Food - Poor Service

By David F |

Unfortunately like many restaurants in Austin, they are unable to find and keep good servers or cooks. The food was good, spinach dip a little overcooked, but the server only came to our table a few times while we were there eating. We had to ask another server for assistance. The manager should be helping with tables when they are short staffed.

Great atmosphere and food

By angie O |

BJ's provides a huge menu with so many on tap beers and alcohol drinks. It is a lively sports type atmosphere with friendly wait staff. The food menu also offers a large variety and I enjoy their healthier meals section under 500 calories. There are also several "skinny" drinks that are delicious! We had gluten free pizza, salad and appetizers and everything was delicious. The avocado rolls are to die for!

Good

By rsegraves |

Looks like typical beer joint Multiple beers on tap Food much better than typical beer joint Ahi. Tuna salad excellent also deep dish pizza good surprising that so varied a menu was that good Good for late night snacks etc

Great

By kathyo31457 |

Restaurant/service/food all great. Great selection. We go there about once a month or so after a wine tasting event.

Great service!

By Daydream557391 |

DeMonte was a great server! Funny, attentive and very attentive! Had to send my food back for being undercooked but it was immediately taken care of with apologies. Caring staff! Thank you!

5207 Brodie lane location - Great Experience

By mikehurd |

Dropped in for an appetizer and cold drink. Zucchini strips were ok, Beer was good and cold. Service was really good, it was slow...

Best hamburger deal in Austin

By Blue Butterfly |

The food was good and Demonte was a great waiter. My burger was cooked as requested and the fries were good. Our only complaint would be that they had no strawberries for the strawberry fields salad that my wife ordered, but she still liked it.

Easy Access

By angelicarenee13 |

My job is in the vicinity so BJ's is always the go to place for beer and appetizers. The beer is great by all means and they brew their own beer. Not there of course but as a whole the company makes their own brew. I usually like the berry cider they have as well as the Blonde one. I like beer but not too dark. Anyhow, the appetizers are always delightful, I love the mozzarella and tomatoes with basil and balsamic vinaigrette. The mushrooms are pretty fantastic too.

Take Out Struck Out

By charlesf |

This was a take out for two burgers. While the meat was prepared as requested - it was dripping with grease, there were no condiments or napkins provided. When picking it up I had to give my name 4 different times with the last time the server coming out to my vehicle asking for my name. I hope they enjoyed the nice tip I left for not even checking in the bag to see if the order was correct. Can't recommend this place.

The live music on Fridays and Saturdays is nice.

By JAEN F |

Food is average. Service is good. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. It's your average Tex-Mex fare.

Beer-Tastic!

By Glfrump |

This has been my 3rd time at this location I feel the service gets better and better each visit. My friend and I arrived at happy hour and were greeted with a smile(Quicky too) . Our waiter was fairly new and he admitted to it. He gave us suggestions and we went with his suggestions . He really could have left off the part about being new, because he acted like a seasoned pro! The training of the waitstaff is great our meal was de-lish . Can't wait to go back!

Really good food, multiple GF options

By Centaur4 |

Lunched twice at BJ's and really enjoyed their scrumptious salmon on Quinoa salad and the ribs are of course a must! A good range of beers and ciders in addition to the usual soft drink / sodas and although we haven't partaken of the wines we were impressed with the range available. Very attentive wait staff, impressed. Suggest adding a couple of steak or lamb selections to the menu for us meat eaters though.

Best service in a while. Go Joe!

By Hrncirwr |

I needed a snack and someplace to park for a few minutes in between appointments. The watermelon feta salad was nice. The service was better. It's fun to sit at the bar, you get to see what other folks are up to. The bartender Joe was the star of the show. I really enjoyed how he interacted with the folks lingering after lunch. Whether it was breaking up a check for two gals splitting their cost, or exchanging out romain lettuce for the iceberg in a salad, Joe kept things very hospitable, which is just so cool in the hospitality business. Thanks Joe. Great job.

Most Delicious Salad

By AQueenB |

We went before a graduation ceremony and we all had excellent. meals. I had an Asian chicken salad that was superb. Fresh and very yummy. The spaghetti and meat balls were equally as good. And so was the pizza. The guys had a flight of 4 drinks which they declared to be delicious. A fun time and great service. Good stop.

A wonderful lunch with great service

By Michael S |

Went to eat lunch here before leaving Austin to fly home. Had lunch with my brother and sister in law. I went for a thin crust pizza and my sister had the chicken fried steak. The pizza was very good but the serving for the chicken fry was to big for my sister in law so I had some. WOW! it was just a little spicy and the meat was wonderfully tender. Mike our waiter took great care of us. I had a long flight ahead of me and this comfort food really made the trip easier.

Lot Of Choices, Reasonable Priced

By GOMSUDogs |

Thick menu with lots of choices. We ordered two small pizzas for 3 people and had slices remaining. Also shared the 3 small Pizookies for dessert which were good. If you like root beer, order their homemade root beer. It is very good and you receive free refills.

We like this location and the service we get when we eat here!

By Tierre W |

Service and food were great! Matt Rapp is spectacular as always! Wait time is never long. Overall good experience with chill vibes!

Good basic brewhouse food.

By Mary L |

I ate at this restaurant twice in the week I was in Austin. Both ties the service was excellent. The atmosphere is good but a bit loud. The food was what you would expect at this type of establishment.

Pizookies with Pals

By Daniel D |

Great service and excellent pizookies with friends. Makayla was an amazing server and super nice! Can’t wait to come back.

Relaxed Environment with Excellent Food

By Andree G |

Walked in after a long intense day at work. The first thing noticed was the wonderful smell coming from the kitchen. The next was the friendly staff at the reception desk. We then received quick friendly service at the bar. Good mix of in house brewed beers and selection of many types of beer. Great service and the appetizers were great. Would go again.

tasty lunch

By M J |

I had lunch with co-workers at BJ's. I ordered the barbeque pulled pork sandwich from the lunch menu for $7. It came with a side of chicken, coleslaw and french fries. Everything was tasty.

Crowded and loud, but good food

By KBA1625 |

We met three other couples here for dinner and to visit. To accommodate everyone, we needed a place with vegetarian and gluten-free options, and this fit the bill. All of the 9 of us found something we not only could "do with", but actually wanted. The gluten-free pizza and vegetarian salads were welcome. Burgers are huge. My chicken was flavorful, but dry, and my daughter's was moist, but lacked flavor -- perhaps the lesson is to avoid chicken!

Great food Great atmosphere

By Pamela L |

The food was delicious and the service was great. The strawberry dream drink was very good. The waiter suggested an interesting twist that took the drink to the next level.

Amazing Pizookies

By jessica r |

Demonte was a great waiter! Brought out our pizookies fresh out the oven and they were delicious!!! PIZOOKIE PARTY INDEED 😁

Business dinner

By albert12345678 |

Nice restaurant, great atmosphere, sports screens everywhere. The service was fast and good. Beer was excellent, I took local Heffeweizen, almost as good as in Germany. 😀 The rib eye steak, was not so good, to much salt. Didn't even finish it.

Great Stop While Traveling

By EspanaTraveler |

As a business traveler, I get quite tired of the standard chains and was delighted to find this place near my hotel in Austin. They are open late night and have a pretty extensive menu from just a few bites to a full entree. Good bar selection and a variety of draft beers. Open and friendly bar seating make this a great stop-by place for the traveler. The staff behind the bar were intelligent and quick to provide good service. Will be back on my next trip to town.

Worst meal ever

By furrypaw22 |

Went to a BJ's in Arizona and the food was good so decided to go to this one last night. I ordered the prime rib and a side of broccoli. Well I have never had a prime rib that was so unappetizing. My first bite tasted like an entire box of salt had been poured on it. My second bite tasted like it was seasoned with an entire box of pepper. It was not cooked properly either. It was like leather. The broccoli was overcooked and cold. I sent it back a d had it removed from my bill. The manager did come over and apologized and did ask me if I wanted something else but my mouth was on fire from all the pepper so I passed. I ended up grabbing an in n out burger since it was so late

Best day ever!!!

By Nicole S |

Makayla was the best. The pizookies were fantastic. I love this place. Next time I come back I will ask for Makayla again and we are going to get the spooky pizookie

Austin BJ’s

By Kiaran A |

Great spot for dinner. Great food and our server was amazing, DeMonte. He made the experience that much better. Great time was had!

Food good service needs attention

By Jessica R |

The food was great however we were seated in the main area and it still took 15-20 minutes just to get our waitress to greet us. The person who sat is there actually had to go get her from the back.

Great service

By Tracy B |

Makayla was the best! Will be coming back and requesting her section! Highly recommend the $13 meal deal. The clam chowder was great!!

Monday special margaritas!

By Rachel L |

The Monday special margaritas were strong and great, but my steak was too well done. I ordered medium rare and got medium well. The asparagus was too crunchy. Honestly I think I make better asparagus. The service was fantastic. For the service and the drinks I give it a four. The steak did have great flavor besides being overcooked, so another reason to maintain its 4/5 rating. Would I go here again? Maybe just for drinks.

Fast service, good food

By AnotherNiteOnTheRoad |

On a recent business trip I went to BJ's because it was a short drive from my hotel. I can highly recommend the new Asian salad (I forget the name). Good food, fast and efficient service... It's what I expect from BJ's, and this one did not disappoint.

Lunch in Austin

By Ed B |

ok luncheon experience. Food was good but nothing special. Our server, Dustin was excellent. Chicken wings had nice presentation, but a bit under cooked and not crispy.

Amazing service, delicious food

By WhatsInAName07 |

We had a wonderful time at BJ's. Delicious entrees---including GF options. Their GF cookie dessert was AMAZING. Our service was likewise impressive. Great experience overall.

ok beers, great food

By gypsyrose94 |

I tried a few of their beers and they were okay, not great. The food was really good and ther server we had was very friendly but seemed new....everything we ordered was good...if we go back it'll be more of a take-out thing.

ROT 20th Anniversary

By CHRIS W |

Delicious appetizers - calamari & egg rolls, tasty drinks - Dos XX, Bloodymary & red beer. Thank goodness they opened @ 11am. We were thirsty!

Business in Texas

By Richard M |

BJ's is a chain restaurant and the food is standard pub fare. There are a few exceptions with their specialized entree's. If you like variety in beer this is a great place.

Great place

By April S |

Great service. Food was great and came quick. The menu is like a book. A lot to choose from. Probably took us longer to look through menu then to get our food.

Great service

By CJ B |

Katy (Katherine C) was very pleasant and went out of her way to pace our soup time to pizza time. She brought our plates and seasonings prior to the pizza and asked the manager to accept the half price Monday pizza though we ordered the gluten free not the large deep dish which I now know is the only half price you can get. I was not going to change our order but still a pleasant outcome. Delicious too!

Good food

By teebee777 |

This restaurant has a nice variety of foods. We were there for lunch. This visit I tried the all you can eat soup and salad. The Caesar Salad and Tomato Basil Soup were good. This is a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Super friendly and great dinner!

By Rebecca B |

My kids loved it and the food was out fast and great. They even brought out a kid appetizer of fruit and goldfish! Our waiter, Demonte, was super friendly!

Sheer Dining Delight!!!

By MarilynBo50 |

Scrumptious food and great service in a welcoming atmosphere. My salmon was cokes to perfection and the flavorful sides complement the meal! Our server, Emilee was attentive and friendly. Manger, Dante was very cordial and customer focused! The pizookie was to die for!

Pizookie Party

By nessa b |

Came in for a quick 13 meal deal before my 12 hour shift. DeMonte was a great server and attended to my dietary needs without complaint. 11/10 will ask for him again!!

Good food in sports bar/family atmosphere

By JWWorldTraveler2006 |

Nice spot for evening or late night food. That pazookie is excellent! Been here 2 days in a row and hasn’t disappointed yet.

Demonte’s Service 10/10 really cool guy.

By Young M |

Demonte was excellent with his service tonight. We came here before and he had the same energy, so i felt good knowing he was serving us this second time around! Cheers.

Like most BJ's this one is good!

By Bud B |

Like most BJ's this one is good! Eat at the bar, the bartender was outstanding! Food, the Pizza also great.

Open Late

By Olemissgal00 |

I have visited various BJ's through out the country and they are consistantly good. This location was close to our hotel and we needed something that was open super late. Service was quick and better than any other place we visited during our stay (even though they still forgot our salad). Try the avocado egg rolls.

Delicious

By Milka R |

This is a great spot to dine with your friends. Our server DeMonte was amazing, professional and made our experience enjoyable!!

GOOD EXPERIENCE

By HARRY M |

Have eaten at other BJ's and this was our first time at this location. We were seated promptly. Because one of our group eats gluten-free food, this is a good choice because of the menu. Had the gulten-free pizza, the Asian chopped salad, the parmesan chicken sandwich and the bison burger and everything was very good. Service was average. Atmosphere was friendly.

Yummy Food and great service!!!

By Rebecca C |

We had a super night and the food was yummy! Our server, DeMonte, was really attentive and was so fun to interact with! Tasty pizookies!

Not bad

By P5_Crazy_Train |

After a long morning of back to school shopping, my daughter and I stopped at BJ's for a late lunch. We aren't usually much for chain restaurants and we'd had a bad experience at a different BJ's in the past, but this meal was pretty good. Quick and friendly service and human sized portions (not mega huge). Drinks stayed full and it was nice and cool inside. My only problem was that it's a bit pricey for what it is. Two entrees (one of which was a salad) and two drinks came to about $50 after tip. No complaints at all about the food, just a bit high for a chain restaurant lunch.

Like Coming Home

By John B |

Fantastic service from Katie and Leah at the Sunset Valley location. They were attentive, accurate, and professional; they also have a great sense of humor. The flavor and texture of the food was back to the high level before the pandemic.

Great food and superb service

By traveller_sb12 |

We went for dinner here. The service was very nice (provided kids with crayons etc), courteous and timely. We ordered two kids menu items and one starter and 1 pizza for ourselves and it was on time and very tasty.

Underwhelmed every time

By Mary L |

This was my third visit to this BJ's. Each time my experience is meh.. They have an exact corporate formula for each dish that I'm told they can't deviate from. My favorite salad around is the Mexi-cobb salad from Chuy's. Excited when this restaurant opened, I was hoping for good salad. Ordered their Cobb salad. WAY too much shredded lettuce & minimal toppings. When I talked to the waiter about the proportions, I was told that they can't deviate the exact measurements. Boo.. although, the waiter was nice enough to bring me a plate with extra chicken/cheese/tomato etc. The next visit was with a large group after a children's sporting event. Seating was quick on the Saturday afternoon. Service was very slow though. We waited over 45 mins to get our food. This time I ordered their Thai Lettuce Wraps. Pretty good. Would order again.. Visited again last night. Ordered the Thai Lettuce wraps again. Not sure what was different this time but they weren't as good. Oh and the service was horrible. Our waitress was very slow and the tea was so watered down..it was almost clear. Mentioned to the waitress and she said: "Yea, it is pretty light, isn't it?". What? Well, that was it. No offering to get us better tea or anything. When my MIL complained again and asked specifically for tea that was darker, she huffed away and cam back with tea, reluctantly. Wow.. There were other issues with my MIL's order..she was slow to fix. Probably won't be back..

Very good!

By 671perlan |

I have never been to a BJ'S (Brewhouse). My sister and I decided to drop by and check it out. The hostess sat us right away. Our server was Casey, who was a very nice lady. She mad us to spinach salads. We ordered a pizza, thin crust, half sausage half pepperoni. I noticed it was oval not round. Casey recommend dessert and at the moment I can't remember the name but it was a thin hot chocolate cookie with two scoops of ice cream. Boy that was heavenly. We also had sweet tea. That was delicious too. Andrew was nice too. We recommend!

Bad Surprise!

By Talon38 |

We have gone to this BJ's many times. This time was a surprise (it has been several months). They no longer have the lunch BBQ plate so I ordered the regular BBQ and my wife ordered the BBQ chicken salad. Both were not the expected tasty food we have been used to and I suspect we won't be visiting there again for some time. The waitress was interested only in getting us in and out and more in talking with her fellow waitstaff back in the corner. This was one of our favorite places to eat--until now.

Salad definitely not super

By AntK13 |

I came here with a work group for a holiday lunch last week, and was very disappointed. The menu was literally a very heavy book with about 20 pages worth of items but very few meat-free options for vegetarians. I chose one of the only options, the "Super Salad," thinking it sounded good from the description of blueberries, asparagus, and green apples along with the greens. What was delivered was a mountain of greens that tasted dirty and unclean, a grand total of 5 lonely blueberries, 3 tiny asparagus stalk pieces, and about 4 bites of tiny green apple slices. Very disappointing (especially for the price, the rates here are very high), and I won't be returning or recommending this place to my vegetarian friends. (Hint to BJs: Austin has one of the highest vegetarian per capita rate of any city in the US, you might want to adapt your menu to offer us more legitimate options.)

Lunch

By cashulman5 |

Patio area was nice. Food was yummy. We had a new waiter but he did ok. Austin was on a boil order and they were out of bottled water or can tea....hmmmm!

Typical chain beer and burger place

By falconfling1 |

I've had average to good food here, and with good service, but it's nothing to drive out of your way for. There are dozens...maybe hundreds, of similar places in Austin. I've always been here when someone else picked the location. It is popular and can be crowded and loud, but its large with plenty of parking. If you're in a nearby hotel, this place would be fine to grab a bite or have a business lunch. You will not remember it next week though...that kind of food. For a very good burger, go to the close by MyTFine, or not all that far away, Elevation Burger, or Hopdoddy's. There are dozens of restaurants in the Arboretum area. Be wary of the pricing....on a previous visit, one of my friends got a glass of Riesling...very ordinary wine...not realizing the charge was $9 !

Smelly Hostess

By DiGi2711 |

When you walk into a place and the hostess has bad body odor, kind of turns your nose right away!! The service was great the food was good the prices were excellent. I really don't know if I would go back there just because the hostess really smelled!!!

Good lunch spot Great Beer

Really nice food, I got the all you can eat salad and soup. Had a house salad and broccoli and cheese soup it was fantastic and the selection of craft beers was nice. Not that I drank at lunch.

Worst bar service in living memory

By Eirik S |

sat bang in the middle of the bar at 7:30. Waited 20mins to order drinks, only two of the three drinks arrived (a water and the wrong beer. Waited 40mins for the barman to take the food order. 20mins for two burnt burgers to arrive. Asked to have the Austin FC game on one of the three TV's behind the bar. 15mins later the channel is changed on the smallest TV. 10mins later all three TVs are showing the opening ceremony of the Olympics and the bar is clearing out. 20mins later the barman returns to ask if the empty glasses mean we want another drink. 10mins later a second round. asked to have the game put back on the TV and the barman tells me someone asked to have the ceremony on all the TVs and as he points to them he realizes they've already left. An awful friday night and worst $50 i've spent in a long time. Wont be back. goodnight

Perfect for a family dinner!

My 2 boys consider their burgers to be the best in town! Perfectly prepared and very tasty, meat, buns, and all! Prices are reasonable and the setting is just right.

Great pizookie

We had an awesome pizookie for a great price! Makayla was an attentive server as well! BJs always hits when you need it most.

Okay food, slow service

By Dave M |

We’d heard about this location, and wanted to get a decent burger. Since it was a weekend, we’d called ahead to secure our seating, but we still ended up waiting. The restaurant appeared to be packed normally for this time of day, but the kitchen was a bit on the slow side. Our table for two was sandwiched between two other large parties, which pretty much meant we were forgotten about most of the night. It took a long time to even get a glass of water, much less the drinks we did order. My fiancée ended up having to ask for some soup crackers to munch on because our appetizers were taking so long. Our server was very apologetic, and did the best he could considering the situation. The burgers, when we got them, were decent, but not at all worth the wait. We didn’t know if this was a situation with just the kitchen being understaffed, the location of our table, or a combination of both, but it made for a less-than-pleasant dining experience. We may or may not give this another try.

Great service!

By Kayla L |

DeMonte was our server and he was amazing! His humor and excitement made our pazookie Tuesday even better! I can’t wait to come back!

Lots of GF options

By PreciousPirate |

Having a wheat issue, I was very happy to see how many options there were. I had a gf pizza and was very surprised at how tasty it was! Lots of options for all kinds of dietary needs and a great atmosphere.

Slow service!

By Rhonda N |

Poor service. The place had very few customers for a Wed evening at 730. I would not recommend the place. Food was just okay.

This place needs help

By JTerryJohnson |

Not enough wait staff to accommodate our group. Many tables and booths open but no one to wait on us. Not very much effort to try to help

Good food Back stomach following

By katyflower |

We ate a delicious lunch here. Cheese curds for an appetizer, ahi tuna salad for my husband and cherry glazed salmon for me. Both came pretty quickly, hot and beautifully presented. Less than an hour after eating we both had terrible stomach cramps and ..... you know what followed. Ugh. That was all we had eaten that day so I fear there was something amiss. I hate it but it’s true. Maybe one day we will give it another shot.

Great variety

By loveanadventure365 |

I was pleasantly surprised to find a special menu with gluten free options! The food was fresh & delicious & the atmosphere was relaxed & casual.

Wings and drinks and football all day!

Great for business travellers

By Kevin M |

When I travel for business I usually have to eat alone and BJ's Brewhouse delivers what I want - it's an upscale sports bar with a fabulous draft beer selection and good food at reasonable prices. I usually look up online to see if there's a BJ's near me when I'm travelling in their region. I especially recommend the watermelon feta salad, delicious and refreshing. Check out the thin crust pizza and the root beer ribs. And of course the house IPA draft - nice and hoppy, just the way I like it. But they have at least 20 other taps if you're into something different.

Good beer and late night dining. Great service by Makayla and atmosphere was appropriate for our visit. Thanks for the service.

wide variety of food and drinks

By Joe S |

A wide variety of food and drinks. It is a family restaurant where you find something for everybody. Average food at reasonable prices.

Birthday dinner

By Lori |

Friendly warm atmosphere with an awesome staff and a great rewards program. Our family loves this place because there is something in their extensive menu for everyone. I love the mindful menu section, and the salads are amazing!

Try the Rootbeer, Yum!!!

By Irene M |

I was wanting a regular soda the server said to try a Homemade Rootbeer, that's a must. If you order it you can try the other flavors. The Mozzarella & Tomato salad was great with big flavors. The Fish tacos had great taste in every bite. The Beach Mahi & Shrimp awesome plate. The dessert Trio was great cause you can pick from what you want. It's also a shareable dessert. Service was great . I will be back

Loved our server! Made my birthday special :)

By Connector18372283855 |

Tommy from was great!! Very patient with my modifications as a vegetarian! It was also my birthday and I had a great time!

New Appetizers worth trying!

By Hippiechickchris |

Just tried two new appetizers; the fried portobella mushrooms were wonderfully crunchy on the outside (panko crumbs?) and tender on the inside. The spinach stuffed mushrooms were also flavorful, with the spinach & artichoke filling and what tasted like a basil crema sauce decorating the dish. I will be ordering these again! After a reply from the management at this location, I was informed the wonderful crunch is from beer batter and seasoned flour.

Al's Review

By ALW15 |

We had attended my daughter's graduation from the University of Texas at Austin earlier in the day and we wanted to grab a quick dinner before going back to our hotel. The food was great but, the service was EXCELLENT! Our server, Sarah was THE BEST!

Good service, nice range of food

By OliverCromwell1973 |

Came here for a 21st birthday party. The staff were very helpful, we brought a birthday cake that they put in their walk-in to keep cool. Good service and nice range of food from chicken wings and pizza, to regular entrees, cocktails and quite a range of beer and wines.

Good veggie burger

By cooleylicious |

I grabbed a veggie burger with cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and onions to go. It was tasty and the fries were well seasoned. This place is similar to a an Applebees or Buffalo Wildwings. Not bad for a beer and a burger. The only thing that I didn't like was the service. I stood there for 10 minutes and no one acknowledged the to go line.

Great Lunch Great food

By Grady C |

Went here with a friend from work not really hungry for anything got the unlimited Soup and Salad for only $7.99 had clam chowder and a green salad then tomato bisk and a ceasar the soups were fantastic lots of flavor, get extra croutons with the tomato(no extra charge) just a really nice fresh lunch in a really pleasant place to enjoy a lunch.

Better than the BJ's at home

By Kmbrly420 |

Pretty typical chain experience. My food was excellent, but hubby said his was not great. Service was good and it was quieter than normal. Would try other places next time.

Great place for Lunch

By Explore74132 |

Had lunch at the restaurant Good experience Great service Great food Good Clam Chowder :) Recommend having lunch here !

not cheap but good food.

By Tarynn W |

Always busy, BJ's serves an exceptionally wide variety of choices across multiple cuisines. It's frequently noisy but it's got great food and excellent service.

Good chilled out place.

By Bhavna Darira Chesan |

Nice place. Very quick service. We loved the skillet cookie dessert the most. They also had limited edition pumpkin ale when we visited which was nice.

Great FOOD

By majdad04 |

Ordered broccoli and cheddar soup, and a bbq brisquit w/bacon. Best I've had anywhere. Generous portions, and filling at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Latasha Makes a Difference

By Ricki M |

We have been to many BJ's and always appreciate the menu and beer varieties. However this visit was special due to the bubbling personality of our waitress, Latasha. She was managing many tables and did so with more than a smile. She actually had our table laughing several times with her comments. We wanted to thank her for lifting our experience to a party!

Ok to go food, better to eat in

By Hot_Laps |

I ate in the restaurant on a previous occassion and the food was great. Not so much for the two evenings when I placed to go orders. The food was almost prepared correctly. It was close enough to still be good, but definitely not up to par in comparison with the food served to inside diners.

In and out quick

By Holly N |

Visited this location on a sleepy Sunday morning for an early lunch. Our waitress was attentive and helped get our food out fast so we could hit the road back to Dallas. She kept our drinks refilled and answered our questions promptly. Food was great, tried the new chimichurri chicken and was very impressed.

Was directed here by friends, good casual Friday night meal

By SPK1951 |

Had never heard of BJ's but was an enjoyable time. The selection of specialty beers was impressive, and those we tried were very good. We both had the BBQ Bison Burger, well prepared and tasty. Good choice and good value. Large room made it easy to get in and out on a busy Friday night; good evening all around.

Food is good, service was excellent

By R L |

Basic chain restaurant but we got an excellent waiter, Dylan, who was very attentive and really took care of us. Fast service, water glasses filled, checked on us several times. I did not care for the greeter at the door who spent several minutes explaining why we should get their Rewards Card, even after we told her we weren't interested and did not have a BJs near us at home. Food was very good. I had the summer special-Spinach Salad with Berries and Goat Cheese and my husband had an oversized Burger Only complaint inside the restaurant is the volume level of the music. Made it difficult to hold a conversation

Good Enough - Not Great

By cLaza13 |

Overpriced. However, the wait staff was friendly and attentive :) Avocado egg roll appetizer was yummy, but the jalapeno burger and pulled pork sandwich were both bland and boring. Slaw was tasteless and the "seasoned" wedge fries only looked seasoned, but had no taste. Watermelon Mojito was too tart and at almost $10 each, not worth it...they should have prices on the drink menu. I will not eat here again.

Amazing

By Deleecia G |

Adam S. Hospitality was amazing and it really made my experience at Bjs even better. I wish everyone was more like Adam! He was Awesome!

Awesome service

Jacob was awesome and provided top notch service. Very thoughtful and, friendly and professional. I cannot wait to come back to BJS.

New Healthy Options

By Dan A |

Had a business lunch and they had changed the menu. There were a ton of new healthy options. I had the baked salmon. It was excellent.

Beer dinner @ BJ's

By Gambler C |

Another wonderful beer dinner at BJ's. Thanks to Josh, Sophia and Deimonte for wonderful service. Looking forward to October beer dinner.

Great thin crust pizza

By PfRay54 |

Monday is half price pizza so I ordered a thin crust pizza. It was excellent. Also got their craft sodas. I had the black cherry soda and refills with the vanilla creme and orange creme sodas. All are quite good. Ben was my server and he was awesome.

Excellent New Orleans Jambalaya

By DancersDaddy |

I really enjoyed the New Orleans Jambalaya. Many of the other things on the menu seemed generic, but this is a standout. The serving size is large and the this is a fiery, tasty dish. It is the only ting I will order here, but I will sure take a sample of what my wife orders. :)

Big menu, great beer selection

By jswmrw |

I love how the menu explains the flavors of all the beers. We counted 20 beers on tap the night we were there. The food menu was extensive. It was right around the corner from our hotel so that was an added bonus. The blackened salmon was cooked to perfection. I'd go back again.

Chill and cozy

By Julia B |

Love coming to this location. It’s a comforting go-to spot. Solid happy hour, good vibes, delicious pumpkin ale and Matt is great!

Delicious hamburgers

By Ashley Hobgood |

My uncle and I came here for lunch. We both had the bacon cheeseburgers. We thought they were yummy. The service was excellent. We will be coming back.

Good

By devi t |

The food tasted good ! But the food was not hot ! Loved the chicken parmigiana and a chicken sandwich . Ordered Mac and cheese for the little one it’s lil dry .

Average

By Steve D |

This was my first visit to this location. I ordered the BBQ Bison Burger with steamed broccoli and sweet tea. The burger tasted good but the meat patty wasn't as big as the bun and it was a bit thin. The steamed broccoli was plain, steamed broccoli apparently from the bottom of the bag as there wasn't many florets but there was quite a bit of loose broccoli stuff. The sweet tea was good. The prices are on the high side compared to other places where I can get a better bison burger at a lower price. The service was average. Not impressed.

"Fresh and delicious with friendly service!"

By Diana D |

Stopped in late afternoon for the first time on our way home from the airport. We were a group of six and our waiter Derek T. was amazing. We started with appetizers then each person ordered a meal. There was so much food and the order came out all correct and hot off the grill. The presentation was very nicely done. This is a must each time we visit Texas. It's easily accessible from the freeway and plenty of shops surrounding this location if you choose to shop.

Excellent Bar

By Vishal S |

This is the best Draft Beer place I have seen until now. They have a lot of variety of Draft's to choose from. also they have their own brewed Beer also.

Consistently very good food and service

By Talon38 |

We've visited BJ's many times and have tried many of their menu items. We personally enjoy the Honey Crisp Chicken salad, but the burgers and the pulled pork barbecue sandwich are excellent as well. Although a chain restaurant, it doesn't seem so. From the receptionist to the waitstaff, everyone is friendly and helpful. Consistently excellent, fast and friendly.

Large Party Waitstaff was Frazzled

By WinstonA03 |

We had a party of 14 people for a late lunch....They accommodated us by putting a couple of tables together which was nice...Our orders were taken and that's were they became frazzled....Missing items we had ordered, some of the food was brought out much later than the rest of the diners....It had become a cluster....Food was standard nothing great....

Great Beers

By bostonshovel |

Great beers and great food. Matt the bartender kept me hydrated all night and pointed me in the right direction for what to eat.

Unfortunate dining

By bobc965 |

Visiting Austin to see an old friend. Went to BJ's, as he recommended I would like the atmosphere and food. They also were known for their craft beers. On arrival, we were seated promptly, waiter approached the table with a great demeanor and provided options for libations and appetizers. Choice was soft drinks and no apps. Ordered a southern favorite - Chicken Fried Steak. Ok, one has to delve once in a while. My friend ordered a basic cheeseburger with bacon. Food had no taste,, kind of greasy and boring. The burger was that....a burger. Ho Hum.... the waiter Joe made the day....good conversation and retorts and was always around for refills and a joke or two. If you're going to watch a game and have a few brews, might be the place to frequent...food ... not so much

Love the Fish Tacos!

By TaurusMom |

I love the Fish Tacos. These were excellent, as usual. I sat the bar, and ordered a "handcrafted" margarita. I was surprised to see it was the same price as my meal, especially after I watch the bartender hand craft my drink from the fountain thing/dispenser.

good - large - wide open - good service

By A B |

We ate here on a Friday evening in late February. Arrived at around 8 PM and were told about 30 minute wait for table which was accurate. No hand held buzzers as they send message to your cell phone. Very large - modern looking - wide open restaurant - but not noisy. Very extensive menu - many choices. Had a nice two seater booth. Server was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He seemed to be a in good mood, and we noticed other servers in the same frame of mind which is a good thing. Servers helped each other out. Note - person who appeared to bring food from kitchen was a bit "over the top" and a bit strange acting? Food was very good, including warm cookie / ice cream dessert. Strange thing we noticed - at a near by table was a mature age couple in a large 1/2 round booth. They had a medium size "lap dog" at the table with them that sat on their lap or on the booth seat. This did not appear to be a "service dog". We are dog / animal lovers... but not sure why they would be allowed to have a lap dog inside restaurant?

Friendly Service

By fidenciom878 |

In Austin for business and had a pleasant dinner at restaurant. Server was friendly and service was rather quick. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Great visit, A+

By Joseph M |

Went here for a post grad dinner. Perfect choice. Far enough away so it wasn't super crowded but close enough. The food was perfect and the service fantastic. The beer selection is in house and was decent. I picked up a sampler and while good, the glasses were a bit small. Other than that, great dinner.

Tasty food, great service, but ultimately a family type sports bar

By AJAhearn |

There is a BJ very close to where I live and these places are very consistent - which is a good thing. The food was good and the service was very good. I'm a hockey fan and it was nice to see several screens with hockey on them. The food and service was great. I was in the middle of the week and a bit late 8pm with no waiting.

Amazing Appetizers

By George A |

The Spinach and Artichoke Dip is very good. The appetizer is cheesy, gooey and full of flavor. My wife and kept going back to the appetizer even after our entrée arrived. The Honey Sriracha Brussels Sprouts and for the timid or weak. If you like bold and spicy this is a perfect compliment to your brew. I hade the Light Switch Brew and it went quite well. I tasted my wife Tuscan Tomato Bisque. It was creamy and delightful. For a light meal I suggest the soup and salad.

outstanding burgers

By ignacioleon |

well located outstanding burgers pretty decent pizzas has a fast (15 min) takeaway service not far from the Hyatt Place hotel

Pizookie Night

By Lily M |

DeMonte was great! So funny! We absolutely loved our pizookies! Tuesday nights are the absolute best time to go. BJs always hits! 😁

Great Restaurant

By N8Tagg |

We were traveling through and stopped by for dinner. The food was excellent and service was great. It was my wife’s birthday and they gave her a scookie with candles. We wish there was a BJ’s in our hometown.

perfect for lunch during workweek

By Lucie_tx |

When we decide to go with colleagues for lunch out, we oftern go to BJ's in Austin (north or south location, depends on the day's schedule). The menu is unbelievably extensive and mouth watering, prices very reasonable and every time the dish I chose I loved (my favorite: southern fied chicken, my friends often go for the unlimited soup and salad, if you want to eat healthy). All of the appertizers I ever had there I enjoyed as well. The beer selection looks very atractive and we never had a bad service. I will go back any time in a heartbeat.

Good beer and atmosphere

By John G |

An old classmate met me here to catch up on old times, and it was a good choice of locations. Our server had us try many beer samples until we made our final selections. The watermelon feta salad was nice and fresh and the pizza we split was well made with a nice and crispy crust. We appreciated the fact that we were allowed to linger with no rush to get us out. Good food, beer and service is a winner to me.

Good Atmosphere and Food

By TyandAm |

We met with some business associates for lunch at BJ's restaurant and had a very nice meal. It wasn't a life changing experience by any means, but a really good place to meet and "talk shop." Three of us ordered varieties of burgers and another ordered a chicken plate. All of us were pleased with our meals. They are known for a good selection of beer as well, although we did not try any out. I would eat here again, but it isn't something that I'd put on a Must-Do list by any means.

Good spot for a family dinner

By AngieWH |

Great place for a family dinner. We enjoyed the food, especially the pizooko dessert, and ambiance. Customer service was great too, Demonte was friendly, funny, and helpful!

Total breakdown

By Josh K |

Came in for lunch with a colleague from work. I have been here before and the experience was great, but not this time. We were seated immediately and the waiter came by and took our drink and food order. My friend ordered the Ahi Tuna salad and a water. I ordered the ribeye steak cooked med. and a water. It took the waiter 14 minutes to bring water. Come on man! The food took another 15 minutes, but I ordered a steak and that can take longer than a salad. The steak showed up rare and I knew it before the knife even hit the meat. I immediately showed the waiter and whipped my plate away to correct the situation. He came back maybe 4 minutes later with the same steak. This is where I have a big problem. Double cooking a steak is wrong!!! Come on man! 1st- Train your waiters to bring drinks quickly 2nd- Train your cooks to make the steak right the first time. 3rd- If you make a mistake, don't try to cook the same steak again. That's stupid. 4th- Train your waiters to know this. After pointing out the problems associated with double cooked steak the waiter offered to make a new one. I was pissed and declined. The manager came over and offered to have a new steak or something different brought out. Still pissed and still declined. Lunch had already taken too long. I am disappointed with the waiter, cooks and whoever is responsible for their training. Manager did the best job she could ...considering the situation. I would have a hard time recommending BJ's to anyone even though previous visits were positive.

😊

Demonte was our server. He was very attentive and in such a great mood. Our food was good and the we were seated very fast. Good experience

family lunch

By 263genek |

while the restaurant was a little on the upscale side the decor had televisions that seemed out of place. this restaurant did not have the feel of a sports bar, but the tv's made it seem like it should be. The menu was definitely upscale, but perhaps a little bit too extensive. In my opinion the kitchen staff would be better served with a less extensive menu in order to focus on improving the quality of the food being served. It's not that the food was bad, it was just a little disappointing in general. That being said, the service was outstanding. At times it was almost as if our waitress was reading our minds

My waiter was exceptional!

By Beth F |

I came in to have a quick bite to eat for lunch after having a really rough morning. My waiter was in a very jovial mood, which quickly turned my day around. He was very efficient and attentive, but his sense of humor is what made the difference. I usually have great visits to BJ's. This one topped them all! :
