Busy Busy Busy

Very busy spot. Good food and drinks. Wait was a little long but expected on a Friday evening. We sat on the patio, which is a bit congested but we were able to get excellent service from our server.

Slow Service, Average Food

By Swimushnik |

We have been here a couple times. It always takes way too long, like an hour and a half to get a couple beers and a pizza. And, honestly, the pizza isn't that good. The last one I ordered had a pound of creme cheese and obviously canned artichokes... I felt like I could make it at home in half the time and save some money.

good bar food, great beer selection.

good bar food, great beer selection.

Now that's a big TV

By Eric_S_Phoenix |

Good service at the bar and as usual at a BJ's, great beer and food. A lot of large TV's including a 120 Panasonic. Worth a visit if you are staying in the surrounding area.

Serviceminded

By Ambjörn J |

We stayed at hilton, and saw that we had this BJ just beside the hotel, so the first evening we went over to BJ’s and with a party of 6. We got a table in the corner with sofa and chairs, a littlebit dark here in the corner. The waitress was knowledgeable and gave us good advice on food and drink. She came out with drinks quick and smoothly. Toke up the orders for the food. The food is exceptionally affordable and well presented. We also order during the dinner the sample of beers. We where 2 times during our stay. But I will place them in two reviews.

Wedding Shower

By blabink |

BJ's was perfect! Staff were very accommodating as I had reserved space a month prior to our arrival in CA for our son's wedding. The menu had a large selection and was quite varied. I had salmon on quinoa, other guests had sandwiches, chicken, veges, etc. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. The atmosphere was open and not too noisy. Our waitress was friendly but we did have to hail her to get drink refills. She was quick to get them though when asked. I was pleasantly surprised by the total bill as it was much lower than I would have expected given the number in our group and the portions and quality of the food ordered. $1 parking fee is added to the bill and parking is limited to valet (extra charge) or 2 level parking garage shared with a nearby business.

Good Service, average fare

By budgetfreak |

Huge menu at this place. Would be difficult to find something that you can't eat. I had caesar salad and clam chowder. It was ok, but nothing I'll remember 3 months from now. The draft beer selection is quite good. Seems like a good place to go to watch a sports game and have happy hour.

Food and service were very good

By E P |

We had a very good dining experience. The restaurant is very big so even though it was a Saturday night, we got seated in a reasonable amount of time. The food was very good and our server was excellent. The only downside was that the air conditioning would just constantly blow down on us and he parking garage if very tight if you have an SUV. But from a food and service experience, it was excellent.

Fast and sincere services even with a big game on TV

By cde2club |

I went to BJ with some friends to watch a big basketball game. It was busy but not super crowded. Still, the wait staff were very pleasant and gave a convincing impression that are on top of things. Our drinks and food were delivered at good pace, even on beer refills. No rush, no delay.

Welcome sight!

By cdburrus |

Being a long way from Texas, this was a welcome sight while staying in L.A. My wife spotted BJ's across the street from our hotel while we were struggling to decide where to eat. We have one near us at home, so it was familiar. The food was great, and reasonably priced too. We had dinner there twice it was so good!

Fun!!

By Liora S |

Our waiter, Jennalyn, was very kind and helpful. Our food was very good as well, we got pizookis and they were a great way to end the night.

I keep forgetting how much I love this place!

By 4redwine |

Great menu with choices for everyone. Portions are BIG so don't plan on dessert which is a shame because they rock. Full bar with generous drinks!

Great service, tasty food

By Anne C |

I was travelling alone, so a nice table with friendly service is particularly important. BJ offered both. The daily specials offer good value. Great menu with bags of choice.

Great Salad

By Rocknjo |

Ate there twice. I had the brussel sprouts and kale salad. It was awesome with a fresh strawberry vinagret. However, on the second visit the salad seemed much smaller with less ingredients. But it was still good.

Great service

By Ryan d |

Jenna Lyn might just be the best waitress I have ever encountered. Food was great, service was greater. #tuesdaynightbjs

Great pub food and more. Family friendly, good sports bar and good micro-brews

Don't go to the Westwood, CA, BJ's for pizza or a hot meal!

By Factual |

BJ's Brewery, 939 Broxton Ave., Westwood, CA Twice in 2008-2009, we ordered pizza for dinner. The second time, we told the waitress that we like when it's hot. Both times, our pizza came lukewarm, with the grated cheese on the top warm, but not melted. This is surprising because the BJ's in downtown Boulder, CO, and at the Galleria at Tyler in Riverside, CA, serve awesome pizza. Our hypothesis is that at the Westwood location just outside of the UCLA campus, a customer must have burned himself or herself once, so the restaurant no longer serves hot food. While waiting for our table, we watched another couple's hot sandwiches dinners rest under the warming lamps for more than 10 min before they were served, all while their waiter was available.

Brewpub!

By Jeffrey C |

Enjoyed the excellent selection of local beers and the very knowledgeable servers - I also very much appreciated the menu pairings that seemed very thoughtful - we had the Santa Fe spring rolls were a great starter and very generous and perfect for sharing but our main courses were very inconsistent - the food was delicious but my individual pizza was really more appropriate for an appetizer rather than a meal while my friend who had the chicken parmigiana could barely finish her meal, the portion was so large. But the service rocks - attentive but not overwhelming - a great place to end a day!

Great menu but always crowded

By Fred G |

No complaints about the food -- it is all excellent and there is a diverse menu of pizza, sandwiches, and entrees. Excellent selection of beers and ciders. Only issue is that it is very popular and you can easily have to wait an hour to get seated.

Perfect place for young people!

Perfect place for young people!

Updated menus, great food

By csimmamps |

They really upgraded their menus, the food is getting better all the time, with wonderful beers on tap this is definitely a place to hang out

Not a good experience at all

By dragon789wv |

My wife and I were here on a private large party at the Woodland Hills, CA restaurant. Food was buffet - salad, pasta and various pizzas. Salad was ok. Pasta was cold and actually coagulating and we joked about hope that it doesn't coagulate in our arteries; pizza was very lukewarm - I was a little surprised that it was "Chicago style" - pan, rather than 'NY style", which to us tastes much better, but being cold ... Staff service was very good, can't complain about that, but ... cold food turned us off completely. The room was either too stuffy, but then when the air conditioning kicked in, everybody was cold - there didn't seem to be a happy medium. The cold air seemed to come down from the walls with a rush, and hits the back of our necks. Everybody at the table stated the same thing, although our host tried to adjust the thermostat, but the cold air gushing down ... it was impossible. Two of the women actually put on their jackets or sweaters. It was close to 100 outside. I think that though BJ's may be set up for private parties, it lacks the mechanism to do an excellent job of keeping the food warm, or the room temperature being balanced from extremes. Among the people at our table, none of us talked at all about returning on our own to this restaurant.

Revamped menu

By Mspeppers |

My husband and I went to BJ's on a Friday night in April 2015. We used to go regularly but got tired of the menu. We were pleasantly surprised that the menu has been revamped and there are a lot more entree selections. I enjoyed the mahi mahi with pineapple fried rice. My husband had the deep dish pizza which is always good - although be warned that the tomatoes on the pizza are on the sweet side. Overall, a pleasant surprise.

Good service, good food, good value

By GingerSnap317 |

On our five-day trip to Los Angeles, we managed to happen into BJ's on two different occasions. Both times, the food and service were very good. The menu has something for everyone.

Dinner on Saturday

By Jennifer A |

The food was excellent but the service was excruciatingly slow. It took forever to get our food. I noticed it was steady, but didn't look so busy that it would take that long.

Excellent!

By xxhsxx |

Myself and my husband went here twice on our honeymoon and both times the service, atmosphere and food were excellent, cant fault the place!! First time we had 3 courses and 4 alcoholic drinks and it came to $60 which was well worth the price (better than Pink Taco round the corner when one night we got bumped and charged $50 dollars for a pitcher of margaritas!!!) the second time we went we had 2 courses each and 3 alcoholic drinks each and it came to $45 dollars again well worth it! Staff are all friendly and helpful, will definately go back if we return to LA.

Fast, Efficient Service, Great Pub Food!

By EmmaTiebens |

I love BJ's here in Huntington Beach so when I am in Woodland Hills on business, I feel "at home" with BJ's Restaurant and Brewery. I love the laid back ambiance in the restaurant but the service is far from laid back. They are efficient and fast. I always order their Tropical Iced Tea and they have a great selection of salads and deep dish pizzas and my favorite is the "Honey Crisp Chicken Salad". I have also sampled some of their Handcrafted Beers and my favorites by far are the Harvest Hefeweizen (with lemon) and the Piranha Pale Ale. I definitely recommend this place for fast, efficient service and great pub food!

OMG Burger

By Luv2travel618 |

OMG Burger. I had the best burger I had ever eaten. The food and service was excellent. The place was entertaining with lots of activity. I would recommend eating here.

Century City BJ's was a disappointment

By upnorth98 |

It was in a convenient location to our hotel and was open for some late night dining. We seated immediately on the patio which was wonderful. We were greeted by our waitress and it was like she was trying out for a part . . . just over the top. We ordered our first round which arrived in a prompt manner while we looked at the menu. We placed our order. About TWENTY minutes later she comes back and says we are out of X, Y, and Z so we can't make three of your entrees. Would we like something else? Well one of the things was mozzerella cheese -- kind of integral in making pizza!! We choose other things. Food does come out -- in stages -- first my sisters food. A few minutes later, two other entrees, and lastly 10 minutes later the last entree. NUTS!! We order a few more rounds, and one of mine is a mixed drink. After three stops back to our table to see if it has been delivered yet, she informs me they are out of pineapple juice and could I order something else. NUTS!! Our waitress must be getting frustrated because she goes on a break halfway through serving us and comes back in time to gather the bill and tip. I honestly would have thought she would have comp'd that one drink or comp'd one of the appetizers -- NOTHING!! I wasn't impressed. It was too bad too because the atmosphere was wonderful!

Serg to the Rescue.

By Div K |

I first want to say I'm only writing this review because of the wonderful server Serg. My family and I were having a bite to eat an we were experiencing a lil difficulties with our waitress. SERG took over our table a did an excellent job. Hats off to SERG for salvaging the night out with my family that turn out terrific. If you eat here ASK FOR SERG. Thnx buddy.

It's Ok

By Ramy Sleiman |

Restaurant is too big, not busy, it has many screens to watch different sport games which is good, boneless chicken wings wasn't good, burger was fine. Service was not bad but you can see that the staff don't communicate with each other properly. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but it could be better. The sparkling raspberry is not good at all ( tasteless).

Good food and beer terrible service

By jdog99 |

The food was great from the apps to the entrees and their beers were excellent as well. Our waitress was terrible we needed to ask her several times for simple water she just seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else but there.

As usual, food is very good but service is usually lacking.... huge menu.... mostly alcohol.... slow slow

True to the brand!

By Jim O |

I had the calamari and avocado spring rolls. Yum! A Longboard beer washed it all down. Good service at the bar. If I traveled here again, I would re-visit.

Good food and large menu

By Misty K |

My husband and I visited Bj's while in town. We liked the atmosphere, large menu options, good food and service. This is a great place for work, family or just to hang out.

FOOD OK BUT SERVICE AVERAGE AT BEST

By Steven C |

Dropped by here for dinner while staying at a hotel nearby. The building and interior decor is interesting and unique, and the hostess staff were friendly. Our server was also attentive and friendly at first however, after receiving our beverages it took an inordinate amount of time to get our food and our server was no where to be found. When I finally did receive my personal size deep dish pizza, it was luke warm and was clear it had been sitting on a counter someplace for a long time. It appeared there were many other tables waiting a long time for their food as well and some of the servers were heard complaining to other employees about things that were going on behind the scenes. Maybe it was just a bad night however, I can't recommend the place based on our recent experience.

Love the Jambalaya

By Kenneth L |

I had recently discovered the BJ's in Pasadena and was looking for a half-way place to meet with my brother and his family. I had just had the Jambalaya at another BJ's so this time I tried the Santa Fe Salad, but still prefer the Jambalaya. On my recommendation, my wife and brother got the Jambalaya which they enjoyed. Others in the group got the Seared Ahi Salad, Chowder Loaf, and Hickory Brisket with Bacon. Also Peanut Butter cookie and Electric Lemonade.

Great food and excellent value

By SEQ17 |

Visited BJ's with a group of 9 friends and although we had not pre booked, they were quick to accommodate us. The food is excellent. All of the meals were good quality, large portions and excellent value for money. Unfortunately we did return the following evening to grab dinner after touring LA but it was really busy and a seating wait of around an hour. We had to choose elsewhere to eat but that was no fault of the restaurant. I think if you are looking to go on a weekend it may be best to pre book if you are in a group.

Hop over there, if only for the beer

By Raviv S |

My family and I had dinner here one night. We chose it because of its proximity to our hotel (Hilton, Woodland Hills, CA.) and my own addiction to craft beer. The beer proved well worth the visit (I had a delicious brown ale called "Nutty Brewnette" and my son had the "Jeremiah Red"). The restaurant/brewery's web site features interesting profiles, not only of the beers brewed there but also of the brewers. We found that the appetizers were much more noteworthy than the main courses. The pizzas are varied and imaginative and the one we ordered ("BJ's Classic Combo") was absolutely delicious! The ribs on the other hand were not tender and stringy the way we like and were more of the spare rib variety than the baby back. I would definitely return to BJ's!

The Value for Small eaters is Incredible

By metoread2 |

We went to the BJ's in Torrance and Century City on our trip to LA. Though the restaurant felt like an upgraded chain, they offered snack plates with small salads at an amazing rate- under $4.00- and the salads were incredible and artfully presented. My mozzarella and tomato was great as was the watermelon and goat cheese salad in CC. For a vegan and small eater, I was delighted, while the teen with me chomped down on a huge plate of spaghetti and meatballs.

By Dru M |

Great pizza. But, my favorite thing to order is the beer sampler. You get eight small glasses with an array of their signature beers. Everything from honey blonde to dark Tatonka Stout. If you aren't sure what all the names mean, porter, red, pale, stout, wheat, etc. then come in and get a small taste of all of them. Oh, and don't forget the pizzookie... a giant deep dish chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. Mmmmmm.

Would visit again

By Katie S |

Clean restaurant. Ate in house twice, wait staff were great (Charles & Mark), food was delicious! Also ordered for takeout, pizza order was messed up & once picked things off what we asked to not be on all of it, pizza was also delicious.

Fun Brews

By csimmamps |

BJ's has some fantastic home brews as well as great pub food. The servers are always attentive and charming. and I love their flatbread pizza.

Pretty much as expected.

By Anna G |

We attended a private party. It was set up as a buffet, so service to us was not an issue although the hosts appeared to be pleased. I understand that it depends on the food that hosts order. The pizza was ok, spaghetti pretty much inedible, lemon chicken really dry, the famous cookie with ice cream dessert was ok although the cookie tasted a bit stale this late in the evening. While we were passing through the main dining room, just regular dinner plates looked way more interesting with crisp salads and fried chicken.

Great location in Century City

By Jacqueline L |

The menu is expansive - we had Jambalaya and it was reasonably good and quite spicy as we like it. The location, ambiance of fun large pub-style eatery is worth the visit if you are shopping at Century City or staying at the Hyatt nearby. They also do take out and the pizza looked fabulous though we didn't try it. Pizza seems to be a safe bet on the vast menu. Lots of beers on tap and spots to sit in or out. Happy hour. Lots of returning locals it appears too in groups of 2-10. The stars shop in that hood so you may spot some! We sat at the bar and the service was great and really friendly-Kyle and Jason in particular. Worth a try if you are out and about in that area!

Great Lunch Place

By TravelerVII |

Where else can you meet friends for a quick lunch and get soup, sandwiches, salads and pizza and be out in 35 minutes. We come after work for hours to cute servers and tasty food. The place is huge and always a table near a tv. What more do we need?

Great service and food

By geographe54 |

We have been at the westwood location twice while we were visiting Los Angeles area. All the members of our family enjoyed their experience there. Great ambience, food and service as well.

The food is great

By Joshua S |

The pizzas have great flavors and the burgers are awesome. BJs is so convenient for the Warner Center in Woodland Hills hotels. It does get very busy in the evenings so just go, relax and enjoy some great food and beer

Awesome !!!

Awesome place with a great staff and just walking distance from the Hilton we stayed at.... they make there own beer a must go to !!!

Bad experience but made right by management

By Lee M |

We are staying at the adjacent Hilton and decided to have dinner here. We were seated quickly but our server looked visibility exhausted, a common problem I've noticed in America's service industry where long hours are quite common. He took our order but my dinner salad came out as a starter and my companion's starter came out 20 seconds before the main meal. Both entrees (still can't get used to America calling the main course an entree) came out cold, but despite this, they were nice. Unfortunately our server failed to stop at our table to check how things were. We did eventually discuss the matter with the extremely professional manager who ensured we didn't leave on a bad note. I'm putting this experience down to a bad night and would give it a second chance.

Decent spot!

By Tour814997 |

Top spot, calm, relaxed - fantastic Service. Jennalyn was fantastic, as were the rest of the crew. A1 Food, outrageous portions

Relaxed Vibe

By TrvlDuchess |

The food was great. The atmosphere and vibe were outstanding. I visited with children and we had a blast dining at the outdoor table. We had no complaints and the service was great. Highly recommend.

Gone server. Gone food. Good beer.

By Big Red of Boston |

Come for the beer not got the food. Our server was slow and after a while another server came to take over saying that our original server was on a break. But he never came back. Calamari was tough. Salad was ok. Pulled pork ok with shoe string fries that lacked flavor and were soggy. Fried chicken was fine and so was the succotash. Overall just go to drink here.

Pizzokie Place

By @atracks |

Overall atracks rated 8.6/10. The non dessert food is good but the highlight is the pizzokies. My food ratings Oreo Pizzokie: 8.5/10 Triple Chocolate Pizzokie: 8.4/10.

unstable quality

By pasi o |

they have wonderful beers, fine service .Food is not always great.Got worst steak in the states today.Sirloin was almost uneatable, like rubber.WhenI told for our waitress that steak was like chewing gum he gave me no answer, took just my plate and went away.Just fine reaction.

Holy cow ! Delicious

I live in India and came on vacation and couldn’t order a steak quick enough. Everything was on point from the service to the appetizers and wow the perfectly cooked medium rare steak ! Caleb miranda was the manager on duty and was so attentive to our table and the staff as well As the tables around us. He’s an Excellent manager and it reflects on the overall experience. 2 thumbs up !

Brewhouse Review

By Glide50 |

Busy restaurant just a short walking distance from the Hilton Hotel. Many flat screens with various sporting events and staff are happy to accommodate a special interest game.

Could have anticipated the crowd

By Rick W |

BJ's was site of a "no host" alumni reception night before Rose Bowl game. Service was almost non existent, had to chase down a server and even then we were "forgotten" again. Drinks and pizza, once served, were good, ambiance nice, parking a cinch. Wish the restaurant had anticipated the crowd and added some wait staff.

Come for the Beer, not the Food

By Pack-Less |

Here's the 1,2,3s... 1. There's quite an impressive beer list at this place! Lots of options for everyone. Get some beer! 2. Get some munchies to go with your beer, but I don't recommend staying for dinner. I had a ribeye steak but it was very underwhelming and over cooked. 3. Waitstaff was efficient and responsive.

Good atmosphere for beer and good food

By Dao Brian T |

We went to the franchise in Century City for dinner. The was spacious clean and the deco was contemporary, the atmosphere was bustling but good. I like micro breweries and always looking for a different beers so this place had their own variety. The food sometimes at the breweries are hit and miss but this one had tons of dishes. I thought it might be a problem with so many dishes, the quality may suffer. I ordered jambalaya, it wasn't bad at all. My wife ordered a chicken salad, fresh and plentify. Servings were generous. The kids had kids menu, it was ok. Overall, a good place for quality beer and fairly good variety of food.

Clueless Waitstaff Compliment Average Food

By Charles Y |

Went to the BJ's in Century City, and one would think the line outside meant the food was good, and the service decent. At least it wasn't for us. Got seated at a dirty table, and the waitress took forever to come by to get our drink order. She returned with no drinks to take our food order, and when we ordered, she asked us if it came with side, how many, what the choices were.... Umm, this was our first time there, and I thought it was her job to know that. Well, the food came out, then the drinks, then the salads. Umm, I think that's the wrong order. The food was OK - nothing I would ever wait on line for (and I had much better at the food court around the corner). Of course, the orders were slightly wrong, but we didn't make a fuss because by now we just wanted to leave. Will not return. They need to train their wait staff and cooks. Much help is needed.

Good Food

By wholehogbrew |

The burgers are great. You will get great service from the staff. These folks take great care of you.

Dinner with good value

By kathy_beaver |

Huge menu to accommodate all comers. Food is good and the prices are reasonable. Right next to the Hilton Hotel so you can walk.

Great food, good Value and good service

By Steve L |

There is not many places in this area to eat but having visited this place I was very pleasantly suprised at the quality of the food and reasonable value. Certainly better than eating in our hotel and at a fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend

Great Restaurant

By Hannah13517 |

I love BJ's in California. The food is excellent and their crafted beer awesome. People are very friendly and it's a cozy and warm place to eat and have fun. I like the pizzas, salads, the chicken, and the burgers. They have pizookies for dessert, very yummy. The prices are good and the food is excellent. Highly recommend it.

Good pizza and good value

Do a great Caesar salad. Pizza good. Be warned if order a baked potato they are huge!very good value and handy location adjacent to century city shopping

Crummy Cobb..

By JanLosAngeles |

We do like the look of this place, cool bar area, building looks like a downtown loft with nice exposed wood beams.....unfortunately tonight my hubby got the Cobb Salad and was hugely disappointed. Firstly, dish that arrived looked nothing like the online menu item which is why we went in the first place. As far as taste, dressing was not good and turkey tasted cheap.. almost like a salad you would get at Norms and portion was small for $13.00. On the bright side, my Moroccan Salmon was really good and they served me mixed vegetables which were really tasty, so I was happy with my dish. What we both didn't like was no bread served while waiting for our dinners, not so much as a cracker with the entrée salad which is a huge turn off. Their prices are not cheap and they should serve a nice warm sourdough and olive oil with balsamic IMO. Drinks were fine, waiter was very lackluster, gave us our check while we still were eating dinner! Won't be back for a while or maybe to the happy hour only.

Great place for Pizza and Beer!

By Joe Suds |

This was a staple for me in college (when payday hit). Many Friday nights and weekends were spent here with friends! Their pizza is amazing, and so is their beer! I actually had my 21st birthday here as well, and try to eat here whenever I'm back in LA visiting friends and family. I will say, that sometimes the service is hit or miss, but the food is so good I usually kept coming back. Went back the last time I was in LA, August of 2016 and was happy to see it was the same good quality! Sat at the bar and had decent service.

Beware of using BJ's gift cards at this location!

By jillleclear626 |

We've been going to the Woodland Hills location for some years, and in general, have enjoyed the experience. I have purchased gift cards from BJ"s for BJ's, frequently online, when bonus offers are made. I bought some e-cards at the end of last year and again around Father's Day. I'm pretty good at writing in the remaining balance once used, keeping receipts, etc. Recently, I was checking balances online to confirm, and discovered that one card, in particular, that I believed had neary $70 remaining on it, was zeroed out. I thought at first that I must have forgotten to write something down. I checked the transaction history, There were two charges a day apart from one another that I didn't recognize. I then realized that the card was used at a different BJ's. We've only gone to the Woodland Hills location for years. I couldn't find a way of finding by the store number where this other location was. In any case, I was sure it wasn't me who used it. These fraudulent visits were used in Texas. I will spare all the ins and outs of pleading my case to the company and to the restaurant itself which were mostly ignored. They are terrible about taking theft of gift cards seriously, and terrible about responding. I spent so many hours on this, it's unbelievable. Yes, I know that gift cards are to be treated like cash with what I'm discovering has little or no protection; however, I should be able to use a gift card purchased from a restaurant at that same restaurant, without worrying that it will be stolen by them. I'm not sure how it happened, and I don't think that BJ's even cares enough to investigate, let alone keep me in the loop. It is possible it was some kind of cyber hack, but my best guess, it was done by a BJ's employee. We'd first used the card about 4 months before it was used elsewhere, not by us, so a smart employee, perhaps with a smart phone, taking pictures? I don't know how this works exactly, but I do know that it was stolen. BJ's manager informed me that their employees have extensive background checks run on them prior to hiring and they are paid very well. That may be the case, but there is a thief somewhere in their midst. It's a cesspool. They look upon this matter as not serious, after all only a piece of paper right? But that paper represents my hard earned money. They nearly laughed at me when I said I was considering filing a police report,(I may still do that) telling me I would only be wasting my time. The time I've wasted, and there was an awful lot of it, was with BJ"s itself.. After many, many emails and phone calls from me. (they company never seems to directly answer the phone and does not return calls or answer emails through the contact us option) did finally receive from them a courtesy card for a couple of dollars over the lost amount, leveling it off at $70. But courtesy cards are different from gift cards. For example, they can't be used to cover a tip, nor for drinks. I don't think there's any protection on it. I again complained that I was not made whole by this compensation that I worked so hard to receive. Never heard back. They do not care. I will never ever buy BJ's gift cards again. I don't trust the balance to remain. And gift cards are harder to protect and track balances on than using a credit card. Plus, BJ's is now severely limiting the time to use for the bonus cards. The last bonus card I received was for $10. I forgot to use it, and yes, I understand that that is on me; however, they only gave 3 weeks for its use. Most other restaurants give at least a month. Bonus cards from TGI Fridays last two months if I recall correctly. Fridays in Woodland Hills is a competitor to BJ's, very friendly, with a great rewards program and bargain priced happy hours (run all day Sundays) And here's the thing: I've bought many a gift card from them (they actually give you points for both buying and redeeming if you ask them to) and never had one go bad or be stolen. BJ"s has left such a bad taste in my mouth, I'm not sure I even want to return to use the "courtesy card." Wasn't much of a courtesy since what was sold to me by them was then stolen from me by them. It's a real racket they've got going on. And now I'm worried about losses on other cards I've held from them, or simply tossed if they said there wasn't a balance. I trusted that it wouldn't be stolen by them. My trust was severely misplaced.

nice dinner, bad bad Ale

By MrsSchmidtDK |

Nice and friendly server. Went for business dinner, and wanted to taste the local brew. Bad choise, as a year long lover of British brewerys and ales I was really disgusted with their Indian Pale ale and the other similar brew I tasted. Very alcoholic in taste, far far from the british standard. But enough said about the ale. Instead got a glas of local Zindandel red wine, and that one was amazing. I got the pasta chicken Alfredo with brocoli, and it was a well cooked pasta and the brocoli was also with a bite. All in all, nice food, but disappointing ale.

Amazing Food

By Naturalbabydol |

I had the opportunity to visit for both lunch and dinner. My waiter at lunch was a bit slow so I wasn't sure if he was new but it definitely started off to a bad start but once I received my food it was simply amazing. I opted to head back again for dinner and the service & food were wonderful. I would definitely suggest them to friends and family.

Good Beer and Food

This place offered prompt service, good beer and food. We had Pizza and nachos. Both came out within 10 minutes which was a surprise considering this place was packed.

Good food,Good location

We had a great time here recently. The food is good but the service was not. We tried to get the waitress to smile but we're not successful.

No comfortable place here (or at least very little)

By LATraveller_12 |

There are not many places where you can go out in Woodland Hills, so, probably, just because the lack of competition this restaurant does not try hard to please the customers. It is always crowded, so they assume it is OK. Well in 10 times we have been here, maybe once we left with a pleasant feeling. The food is OK, if you can stay away from too much fried food you will be happy at the end. Their thin crust pizzas are quite a good balance between tasty and healthy. Servers do their job but on a scale 1 to 10 they will get a 6. But the main complaint is the layout of the restaurant, the only good area is the one on the right side of the entrance. Otherwise you will be taken in some shady, empty rooms, that look more like a confinement room than a people meeting place. Or you will be sitting next to the absurdly strong air conditioning vents that will blow into your head consistently, or by the bathroom, or in a hallway, or just by the stairs, it seems that there is no comfortable place in this restaurant. I will definitely hesitate to go again to this BJ's, sorry.

Ryan and the food were AMAZING

By Chuck G |

Have not been here for several years, and I now regret that . The pizza and the ribs were so mouthwatering delicious! Our sever, Ryan was outstanding ! I’ll be back soon, that’s for sure !

How to feel invisible

By suziewong101 |

Variety of food on menu looked good so we decided to go on for a meal. Once we we seated we had to chase our waiter - who kept disappearing - to get menus , take our order , pay the bill. Food was nice - we had potato skins and pasta - both good size portions and reasonably priced . Restaurant busy and a good atmosphere . Just choose another waiter !

Love the everything about BJ's in Woodland Hills. They provide excellent service for my events. The food is always good and the servers are always on their game. I always know the event will be successful when I take it to BJ's

Busy but fun

By Chanti N |

I won't say that the food here could be termed fine dining but it's great steakhouse fare and their speciality dessert (I think it was called a Bazooka) was so delicious I'm sure I put on 2lbs in one meal. I had the salted caramel. It's made with caramel cookie dough, almond toffee, pretzel bites and white and dark chocolate chips topped with ice cream. Very busy place and a great vibe. If you go at a busy time you will wait though.

Nice food

By Londors |

I came here for lunch. The food was nice but the service a little slow. It was busy so this may have been why. I enjoyed what I had here. Remember to get your parking validated though.

Unbelievable service during playoff baseball

Diana is a really good bartender. She is like a therapist. She listens to you and just really provides the best service. She is probably the best bartender here. Better than Casey.

Good place to grab a bite in Westwood

By Mark H |

The beer is good, the pizza and sandwiches are nice. Portions are fairly generous. Restaurant is a little noisy, but not too bad. Servers do a good job with what is usually a very busy crowd. We've been here several times and have had pleasant experiences each time. Salads are fresh and good size. Pizza is hit or miss, but they have a gluten free pizza which is a treat for our daughter.

Bjs blows

By Juanita I |

I wouldn’t waste ya time. Service was not up to standard and the ribs were hard and chewy. Wouldn’t recommend.

great for take-out

By Tim W |

I liked that you can order on the line and the food is hot and ready fairly quickly. I stayed at the Hilton next door and brought my silly little dog with me. BJs didn't offer patio seating so I had to take my munchies to go and bring it back to my room because my silly little puppy can't stand to be without me for more than 5 minutes...she's a doll.

SUGAR, SUGAR AND MORE SUGAR..IN A SALAD!!!

By JanLosAngeles |

Actually, I like the BJ's Brewery in Woodland Hills, good atmosphere and pretty diverse menu..or at least they try. I am just baffled by the salad I ordered last night which is new to their menu....called the KALE AND ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUT SALAD. I am a home gourmet chef and try to eat healthy and always look for interesting salads, although it is not easy, as most restaurants stick in weird items, fried stuff, whatever. This one is no exception, as it really should be called SUGAR, KALE AND ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUT SALAD..my question to the genius's at BJ's are in what world does a person ordering a healthy kale and brussel spout salad want not only one fruit which is blueberries, but also sugary grapes, processed sugary dried cranberries, CANDIED pecans and if that is not enough sugar for ya, they top it off with a sweet strawberry vinaigrette!!!! Newsflash BJ's ,nobody wants or needs that much sugar in a salad! I did make substitutions, which they agreed to, and asked for roasted almonds instead of candied pecans and just a plain balsamic dressing, but sure enough, they brought it with those items and I had to send it back which pretty much ruined the dinner as my boyfriend had almost finished by then. On the positive side, it is a decent salad, although my roasted brussel sprouts blow theirs away, as theirs were on the hard side and I did get the added chicken which was good, it also comes with goat cheese, red onions, cucumber, roasted pepitas which were good..not sure there was any kale there, the greens were decent, but didn't see or taste any actual kale. So BJ's, as a gourmet healthy home chef, here is my suggestion..Baby kale, arugula, roasted brussel sprouts, char roasted zuchinni or other vegetable, sprouts of some sort, cucumber, goat cheese or feta, red onions, ONE type of fruit (blueberries, granny smith apples etc.), roasted walnuts or almonds with a light balsamic dressing. Now that's a great salad!

several bad experiences

By Pat B |

This restaurant has been around for a while and it's part of a small chain, so you would think they would have things sorted out. But I've been their three times and instead of getting better, things are getting worse. The wait times are long, even though there seems to be empty tables and once you are seated there is another long wait until someone comes to take an order. After another long wait until the food arrives, all three times I've been there the order came out wrong. My friends and will definitely not be coming back.

Great Service and great food !

By Lynda H |

They make their own root beer and it was yummy. The spaghetti and pizza were great too.

The food was great... the service not so much

By 4redwine |

It started out great... Spencer our server was very nice. Our beer came fast but the water we had to ask for 3 times. The food was GREAT for 3 of us but Marcia's meal came with mushrooms and about 10 minutes after ours. She picked out the mushrooms because Spencer our waiter was no where to be seen. My son ordered the large pizza on the half off Monday deal. I asked about the tavern style and our waiter said it was done on a flatbread, so I ordered the flatbread thinking it was the half off deal. It was not. Why did the waiter who had just taken my son's Monday Pizza deal not tell me I was ordering the wrong one when I was pointing to the deal in the menu when I ordered? We had to flag down another waiter to get our waiter to bring us our check. So what started out great went downhill fast. The food is good so I will probably go back but I will talk to the manager when I get there so we don't end up with that experience again!

Really good beer and food

By GJI-London |

My British husband is very picky about his beer but loves this place and usually gets one of the beer samplers with small glasses of craft ale, lager, stout, etc. The ribs are excellent.

Very close to hotel and hopping! For sports fans, lots of screens

By jacksbat3 |

Food was good and well priced. We thought it would be a slow Sunday but it got very crowded - so service got slow as it got busier - but everyone was enjoying the place - with a huge mix of families and friends.

DO NOT EAT HERE!

By Brian W |

DO NOT EAT HERE! TODAY NAILED THE COFFIN SHUT! THIS BJ'S NEEDS TO BE PUT TO SLEEP! I work in the area and during lunch, from time to time, I like to grab a nice beer and a quick lunch. The first time I visited this Century City BJ's it was not busy in the restaurant. I took an open seat at the Bar where I was greeted welcomingly from the Bartender, Jason. When I asked for a beer, the Tap need to be change. Jason apologized, and I completely understood. He explained that he could not leave the bar because he was alone, again I understood. He asked a passing Manager to help him out, the manager quickly showed his annoyance and told him to wait a moment. Jason again apologized, and let me know his manager was helping him. 10 minutes goes by and I still do not have a drink, Jason see this and again asks his manger for help. The manager was to busy flirting with the girls at the front desk about what the girls had done the night before, he again brushed Jason off. Jason clearly felt trapped and helpless, again apologized and asking if i'd like something else. By this point I was so mad at the lack of caring, and due to time, I left. Getting the managers name as I walked out, Steven. when I turned to close the door, I saw Steven walk up to Jason and say "What happened!?" I feel so bad for that employee who clearly tried to help me but couldn't due to lack of support. This manager clearly only likes girls. I had to return to this BJ's for a meeting for dinner. I recognized Jason, and asked him why he was not behind the bar. He was a good employee and didn't talk about what I wanted to know, which was "what happened?". I noticed Steven, the Bar manager (I asked and found out) chatting it up again with only the pretty blondes. When one of drinks tasted strange and sent back, we were told the bartender was new. Why was a training bartender training on a busy weekend night? Again I felt bad for the poor trainee, who was thrown under the bus. When our table asked to speak with the GM, he was "out of town". We asked Jason if he come go back to the bar and make our drinks. He again was very professional and said he wished he could. My partner David asked about the management to Jason, who had now become our server, he explained a story about one of his friends, who no longer works there, and that the management had actually gotten better. Jason again took great care of us and there no more problems. Today, I returned, to give it one more chance. I asked for Jason but he was not working today. My server was a girl, I missed her name - maybe because she changed her name twice with me and had the worst attitude. While I sat waiting for my drink, I saw servers on cellphones, chewing gum and one server's hair was so long it fell into a women's soup but was still served to that guest! My salad never made it to my table. Not only that but then my server begs me to fill out a "rewards membership" because it will "help her with better shifts" and "she needs money". THIS RESTAURANT HAS NO REGARD FOR COSTUMER CARE, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THERE NUMBERS. My employees and fellow Business men are held accountable for there actions. I make sure the best employees are at the forefront of my organization to not only pave the way but to teach the newer staff members how to give the best costumer service possible. ALL their employees haft to do is get reward programs signed. Don't worry about dropping hair in your soup or maybe gum falling on your plate, the management sure doesn't care. Today, again, I asked to see the GM, but "he's at a conference", or so they say. Mad and angry I walked the mall, stopping at Seasons 52. I went in for a drink and described my experience to the server, Brian, not only did the managers (more then one) come to my table, they gave me a FREE dessert. SO if you need to grab a quick lunch, I recommend going to Seasons 52. Not one server on a cell phone, not one dirty table, no chewing gum and GREAT COSTUMER SERVICE. This BJ's is a sham, cant wait till they close. I have told all of my fellow employees to not dine here. - IF YOU HAVE TO GO: Ask for Jason Hagg, he is/was the only server I saw in that building doing his job. I hope he quits and finds a better place. DO NOT EAT HERE!

older restaurant, but great food.

good food. nice not to have to drive though they offer valet parking for a small fee.

Several Nights

By Tommy H |

Ate at this location several times while on travel. Convenient to Hilton, and very large menu. everything I ate for three separate meals was good to great. the bar and wait staff were very friendly and helpful, which may be required with this huge menu. Recommendation met my expectation, and especially liked the grilled mahi mahi tacos.

Great service

By Oscar D |

Went out with the fam for dinner. Ghazi took care of us. Good food. Great service. Beer came quick. Definitely will be coming back. 🤙🏽

Very bad service

By Farbod F |

Made us wait for 2 hours never got our food !!! We were told something was wrong with the computers and they said we can not be told how much longer we'd have to wait to get food we had already waited for for 2 hours ?? The glasses and utensils were filthy . Management incompetent and no respect for our time or how mediocre he service was ! Worst restaurant I have ever been to in San Fernando valley . Never going to step foot in here !

Wasn't that good

By Cas D |

Great beers, no doubt about that. Great atmosphere but the food was not what is hoped for.... I had the ribeye steak, ordered it rare (that's how you eat a steak...) but send it back twice because it was overcooked. The mashed potatos that came with it where groose. The steak was poor of quality so overall it was dissapointed. My wife had the salmon, that was okay for her but not great. We had a pleasant evening but the food is not great.

Incredible menu, great food and service!

By greecelightning |

Incredible menu, great food, and fantastic service. We had a large party of two families, and were served well. They even had a gluten free pizza and gluten free pizookie!

Good Fun and Food

By bronx616 |

Very buzzy inside, creative food choices and good value for money.

Nice place

By Andrew G |

A very nice place inside. I was in the area for work and staying nearby at the Hilton. My coworker and I ended up eating dinner here 2 nights. The service was really good. The place was really clean. They had TVs on with the college games on Saturday and nfl on Sunday, a big perk for me. Neither of us were blown away by the pizza. I did think the wings were pretty good though. Massive menu with a lot of options. If I was in the area again I would go back.

Lively atmosphere, good food and great beer selection.

By Travel7682 |

This restaurant is right next to a large hotel. I live in the area and go to this restaurant often. Do not expect to walk in and be seated right away, especially on Friday or Saturday night. I see a lot of complaints about the long wait; This is LA folks; just the way it is! Suggestions: Go to the bar and order a drink or chat with other folks waiting, the time goes by fast. Reservations are your best bet if you don't want to wait.

Good Place to chill out! Value for Money

By Ramachandran R V |

A nice, cool and laid back place near the Hilton in Woodlands. The place gives you good food and some nice drinks with ample seating. Loved the cool service and persuasion of the girls and guys there to buy a large pizza with offers which the team could not complete. The quality of food and service are good. Enjoy this place when in woodlands / warner center.

Kids and family restaurant?

By wmtip |

Went here for dinner and I was surprised it was full of families with small kids. It was loud and kids were screaming. Who knew a brewhouse was so family and kid friendly! My hamburger was good, but my bun was burnt and made it difficult to eat. It was so hard and crunchy it just fell off the burger. Pluses, huge menu with options that everyone will be happy with. Just know you will have to deal with not loud adults but obnoxious loud kids and families here.

Unexpectly poor!

By mikeinintegra |

I stopped in for dinner one evening on a business trip. I had visited a BJ's in Boulder and found it to be good food. Unfortunately I did not have the same experience in Woodland Hills. The service was slow and sporatic. The beer was good but the turkey sandwich I ordered litterally fell apart in my hands before I could eat it. The bread was dry and I had to eat the sandwich in little pieces as it fell apart. I would not visit this restaurant again.

Great food, Bored staff

By Shibbeep |

We went to the Century City restaurant for lunch while walking around the mall. It wasn't busy at all. The waiters were standing around talking & did not seem happy to be there. We got a dull, monotone 'hi welcome to bjs' in a drawled out, bored tone. So, We ordered the watermelon salad & a club sandwich as a starter & main. The salad came out and we were not even halfway through when the sandwiches came out when we weren't ready. Just a few minutes into our meal then the waiter comes over and asks "Are you going to want dessert?" How are we meant to know, we aren't finished with our meal yet?! We just said no and she dropped us the bill. I felt it intruding a little that we were being rushed out. We hurried to finish and as we left there was the dull, monotone, bored voice 'have a great dayy" It didn't feel sincere, like the girl didn't want to be there. It made us feel like we didn't want to go back there, certainly that there are much friendlier places we have been to recently. The food was delicious, but our experience was rushed & unfriendly. I would go to a different BJ's next time.

Great Food & Service!

By Soulmates2012 |

Noisy, but definitely a great place to eat! Always delicious food and great service. The menu is quite large and there is something for everyone. Love the pizzas, Chinese Chicken Salad and Panduki dessert!

interesting new dishes

By csimmamps |

Interesting new dishes on the menu trending towards a healthier diet. Bottom line BJ's is a great Brewhouse with a good menu great food a wide selection of beverages and best of all it's not too noisy

Very large meals

By qazphilby |

Not feeling the best of working a long day with a cold, I decided I need something substantial for dinner. BJ's definitely delivered with the steak selection. The beers available are numerous and most should be able to find something suitable.

BJ's Westgate Center..........excellent service and value

By jn1952 |

Have eaten at BJ's Westgate three times over the last six months. Excellent service, wide variety of items on the menu and full bar...........great spot to bring the family. Free three hour parking at Westgate .

BJ'S is a must eat in Century City!

By Travel4Leisure_2 |

We tried all their brews and were quite impressed. (Try the sampler) Their Tuna sashimi was to die for and the thier New York cut was generous and grilled to perfection. This is our must stop every visit to LA!

Single Dinner

By Tommy H |

Traveling, so just sat at bar and had combination appetizer for dinner. Food was good, and large portion. Bartenders were wonderful, friendly, and attentive. Fairly crowded, but not absolutely full.

Great Service. Good Bar Selection. Average Food

By MarkO95 |

Excellent micro brew selection, good wine. Excellent service. Had Pear and wild greens salad-very good. Pizza [build your own was all dough, very sparse vegetables, and mystery sauce [it was suppose to be Marinara sauce.

Great place to grab a drink and a pizza.

By echo88 |

I was staying at the Hyatt Century for a work trip and found this gem of a restaurant just across the street. I had every dinner here for the week I was in LA. The food was great, the staff was superb, and the price was good for the area.

Good Burgers and Salads

By TravelinAlan |

I was there for the burger, my friends were more salad people. The burger was good and a good value at $8.50. I had the wedge fries, very good. you could also get thin French fries. I heard good things about the Caesar salad and the chicken salad. They have a nice selection of beers on tap, also fairly priced, to go with the meal. Service was ok, as it was a busy night.

If you like your beer regardless of the quality of the food, then this is your place

By leapyear1952 |

A pleasant atmosphere and nice surroundings can't compensate for mediocre food. How can a hamburger be so tasteless? Carl's Jr burgers are better. And you could change the oil in your car with the grease from the fries. The fish and chips were also quite poor and the low quality of the fish was obvious. We ordered the avocado egg roll appetizer and while it was ok, the wonton skin was quite tasteless.

Good pizzas

By mknabster |

Came here one night after arriving at LAX after a long flight, so needed some good food in us. I had ordered the meat lovers version of the flat bread pizza along with my favorite beer that most restaurants don't have, so that was nice to have. The pizza was nice and flaky, though i do wish it has more sauce on it, it seemed like it was pushed mroe towards the left side of the pizza and the right was more white, so they could work on serving more consistent food, but all in all, it was a good meal.

Sensational food

By TravelRobs |

I was able to dine here after not visiting for a while and noticed that there were many newer menu options. The food is still delicious as usual and is served with generous portions.

depends on what you choose

By ebuggy |

My son went for a steak/ New York Steak and it was good. I selected pasta with brocolli , tomatoes and shrimps and was dissapointed by pasta itself. it wasn't al. dente at all. there was no sauce even! i ate only half even when i was super hungry. plus point for non alcohol beer.

Everythign you would expect from BJ's!

By Owen_Flyer |

The location is convenient (right next door to the Hilton) and the food was excellent. I like that they show the calories on the menu for each selection - must be a California thing. :-)

Lunch was Very Good

By Robert L |

My business partner and I stopped into BJ's Brewhouse for lunch. He ordered the BBQ Sampler Plate and I ordered the Parmesan-coated Chicken Sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals, along with a nice cold glass or Amber Ale. The service was also very good. All-in-all, it was a nice break during a very busy day.

Menu changes cause pizza to slide

By Mark J |

My family and I have been going to assorted BJ's for quite some time and we have noticed 2 things in the past year or so: 1. They're trying WAY to hard to become like the Cheese Cake Factory and 2. Their pizza's have suffered as a result. While never the best pizza BJ's had a decent Happy Hour and really good beer. We ate at this location last night but it pretty much mirrors our other experiences at other BJ's. The deep dish pizza was a soggy, unappealing mess. This has happened to us at their Burbank location as well so this isn't a new trend or a bad night. Their other food has improved but the pizza is now an official disaster for us and we won't be going back anytime soon.

Nice Sports Bar - kitchen not so good

By Robert V |

BJ's brews their own beer - loved the Hefe and the IPA. Portion size on the fish tacos was poor. Clamari appetizer overlooked and not very good. My wife loved the salmon quinoa salad. Go for the beer and sports, take your chances with the food. Service was good.

Great atmosphere!

By Bobby C |

Good atmosphere with lots of televisions and sporting events on the tv's. Bar was electric! Food choices were many and the poke was delicious!!

Huge Menu. Lots of Brews

By M K |

The menu has anything you could want - pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and dinners. They have a great lineup of beers, too. The staff was friendly and service was excellent on a busy Friday night. Highly recommended!

Lunch spot

By Bob C |

This BJ's is a great place for a lunch or early dinner. The appetizers can make a very good meal. The staff however is a little bit slow and not very attentive to tables. The food is good and prepared in a comfortable way. This is a sports bar type food place with a decent selection of beer.

Triple Chocolate Pizookie delicious

By AucklandWiz |

We have been here a few times and the meals are always good. The beer is great also. This time we asked if they could switch one of their TVs over to the Americas Cup Yachting, which they graciously did and seated us so we could view this screen well. Finally gave in to a Pizookie and it was delicious I must say- now I am hooked- a-oh!

I expected more! Not good Service!

By Shabnam |

Ok, I wanted to experience a new restaurant around me and tonight I just decided to go to BJ's. To be honest, I really am disappointed of this one and I am not going to try it again. I liked how the restaurant looked like and I loved the appetizer but the main course was not anywhere close to what I thought it would be. Unexpectedly, it was served pretty close to cold temperature. You could say that the service was not any better than the food either. In reality, it sounds like they are sacrificing the quality which once they had over the quantity(the number of the total franchise).

Good food and friendly banter

By Roger N |

This restaurant and bar was just down the road from where we were staying at the Hilton Woodland Hills Hotel. We were trying to stay awake and get used to Los Angeles time and this proved to be just the ticket!. Food was very good. I had a very nice Salmon dish and on the menu they even quote the number of calories each dish contains!. Given the size of some American's quite a good idea!. Staff and barmen very friendly, they all are in America, something that we in the UK could do with a bit more off.Barman was very friendly letting me try a couple of beers before settling on something which was almost draught bitter but served far to cold!. All beer in the USA is the same!. Bud Lite has to be the worst beer i have ever drunk!. Anyway this was a very pleasant experience to start off our holiday, lots of chat from locals asking question about the Queen and Brexit!. Good fun and reasonable priced.

Nice place good food

By mikepogi |

I ordered steak. I have no complaints. The place is nice. I will definitely come back soon with friends and family

Nice atmosphere and great selection of beers and bar food

By G O |

Watched a match here and the selection of beers and bar food was excellent. Good atmosphere with big TV screens and the staff were excellent - will go back for a casual evening or to watch a sporting event.

Great food at a great price

By Marilyn S |

We were tired and hungry, and it was as hot as blazes outside. Decided to go in to BJ's Restaurant for some lunch and brews. Great selection of lunch meals and there was a nice selection of beverages. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. All in all, this dining experience was wonderful.

The food the drinks just keep getting better

By csimmamps |

Been coming here for years and never been disappointed. The food in the service or excellent the bar serves all types of cocktails as well as their signature Brews well worth a visit

Good food friendly place

By Steve |

I went with my wife after she had finished work and it was quite busy so we sat at the bar. Beer is nice and we had a shrimp wrap starter and then the ahi and I had the pizza starter which was quite filling and very thin and tasty. We liked the place and also good that is only a short walk to the Hilton Woodland Hills hotel

Surprisingly miserable dining experience

By stanom |

We went with anther couple, looking for a quiet, relaxing Saturday night dinner. The menu is good, my dinner was good, BUT this place is loud, chaotic, and although we were at a comfortable booth, the light above the table was way too low and WAY too bright. Headache bright! There were no utensils at the table when we were seated, a party of 4, and when the young man brought them, he literally threw them onto the table and kept moving. Two of us had the salmon cherry chipotle dinner, delicious, one had the pasta with shrimp, the 4th member of our party couldn't get the correct steak brought cooked well, as he ordered it. Returned it twice. The manager was very nice, and apologized profusely. But the evening was a disaster. Don't think we will return, certainly wouldn't recommend it on a weekend evening!

Do not trust ownership, management and the food at BJs

By richardleeds |

At the beginning of April we visited the Century City BJ's Restaurant and brought my mother along. We ordered a pasta dish with sundried tomatoes, onions, fresh basel and paid $3 to add a chicken breast. This was one of three entrees. We noticed there was no sundried tomatoes, no onions, no fresh basil and the chicken added to the dish was 5 slices about 1/8 inch thick, perhaps 1/4 of a chicken breast. We ordered a deep dish pizza for my mother to take home. A few days later she wrote us an email staying the restaurant was not very clean or did not supervise the workers properly because the prong ends of a fork had been placed in the pizza. Who knows what else someone did to that pizza I wrote BJ's twice, first telling them about the pasta dish which was served with the same sauce as went on the pizza, not the ingredients advertised on the menu and requested that they adjust the bill. I was not going to make a scene in the restaurant. Ownership must have forwarded my complaint to the General Manager who wrote the following email to me. "Richard, Hi, I wanted to apologize for your most recent dining experience at BJs Century City. We strive to execute recipes at the highest level with great consistency. With your pasta dish that came out with none of the listed menu items, we dropped the ball. I will be sending you out a $20.00 gift card to get you back in my restaurant to try a different pasta or to try the toscana again. I will be sending out to your address. If you would like to touch base with me personally, please do not hesitate to call me at the number below. Eugene Ochoa General Manager, Century City " After receiving the complaint from my mother about the lack of cleanliness and inserting things into the food served, I passed this information on in a second complaint to BJs on a form provided at their website. I never heard from anyone about the deficiencies again and never received a correction to the bill. I suggest patrons reading reviews on this restaurant consider the games played by the kitchen employees and lack of supervision and what else they may do to the food you eat. Obviously the workers do not care about how they prepare the food, either pasta or pizza. I would question the lack of cleanliness and go somewhere else.

Unimpressive food and service, with some filth on the side

I've eaten here a couple times, I try to give every restaurant more than one chance in case I managed to just catch it on a bad day. Unfortunately BJ's will never get my business again. The food has never been better than mediocre, the service is consistently poor, and the restaurant is just plain dirty. The last time I went there, which will remain the last time I dined there, we were seated in a booth that felt dirty and sticky. The menus did as well. And to top it off, while we were eating a 2-3 inch roach climbed out from beneath the booth next to us and up onto the top of the seat-back. When we informed the waitstaff of this, they reacted like it was nothing out of the ordinary. And after removing the bug, never once apologized or even commented on it. Stay away, for your own good.

Fantastic appetizers

By CanadianinBatonRouge |

I walked to this restaurant as right beside the Hilton and had a great dinner. The appetizers (Brussels sprouts, potato skins) are worth the visit alone. The mains were great too. Huge beer menu made it even better. Valet parking available

Great atmosphere

Life is short eat and watch at same time

A real sports bar was fun to watch 5-6 different sports while sitting at the bar! Wonderful service from our bar tender! Room despite bright TV screens was dark. But that was OK. He even charged my iPhone to rescue me!

Beer Sampler

By jmaxson |

The first thing that can be noted is that this place is in beautiful downtown Burbank The second thing is the wide range of made inhouse beer! You can take the full tour of beer from light to dark! Just or the flight of 4 or 8 samples and take off. Hefenwisesn is really good The food is also pretty good nothing the write home about. The service was just so so....we were seated outside and had to grab a waiter after 15mins just sitting. Free parking!!!

Good food, very varied menu

By Gteeor |

The food was very good, which surprised me given how big the menu is. Usually when the menu is the big the quality is average at best. We were very pleasantly surprised. Recommend the fish tacos, Sobe noodles/Poke and the avocado egg rolls

Good location and beer selection

By DiamondTraveler1 |

The menu is a bit overwhelming but excellent beer selection. I had he ribs which very good and earlier in the day I had the pizza which was average.

My fifth visit to BJ's (in back of the Hilton) did not disappoint

By Michael C |

Food: Salads, Pizza, Chips, Steaks, Chicken Strips and Flat bread dishes are great. The wine list is very good for a place that heavily markets craft beer. I found the service to be outstanding! A server named Eric handled my table on 6/20. He did a great job from introduction to ringing up the bill. We even shook hands at the end of the meal. Naturally, I'll return to BJ's on the next visit to Woodland Hills.

Good Gathering Spot for Food

This was my first time at this restaurant and overall it was a good experience. Valet service is a nice touch. The menu offers a wide variety of food and the presentations around me looked great. Service was a little slow but all in all worth the wait.

Good place to watch a sporting event, grab some food

By Anthony D |

Went here to watch the Hockey Stanley cup in June 2015; sat at the bar and ordered their house IPA and some wings (Happy hour special). Wings were $4.00 for 5 wings and they were OK but not great. The house IPA (HopStorm) was also OK, had a bitter after taste which they do state goes well with spicy food (thus the reason for ordering hot wings). I didn't find this to be the case and ended up with a blonde ale which was better. Bartender was awesome, allowed me to sample a couple of different ales they had. They also sell other vendor beers, which are more expensive. They had Stone IPA at this location which I've had elsewhere and enjoyed. Parking at this location is either a 10 dollar valet or a parking garage (you have to park up top) for free. If you do go for dinner, their menu is HUGE (reminds me of the cheese cake factory menu). Guy next to me had the sliders which he said were very good.

BJ's Rocks!

By 73891 |

We are a regular at our local (Reno, NV) BJ's and found this LA branch's reliable offerings to mirror our local version. Service, food, choices are all spot on . . . there is certainly something or everyone from their extensive menu. Craft beers didn't disappoint either. Reliable and consistent - period!

GOOD HEALTHY FOOD

Reservations is a must - place is busy - food is aweasome - try the ribs

Good

I ordered the ribs they were good but not the best I ever had. They were stingy with the vegetables and no bread. The wine was really good, I don't think t will go back

BJ's Century City - 5 stars

By THEBFB |

We never ate in the same place twice in our American road trip until we got to BJ's in Century City Quite simply a great menu, quality food and amazing range of beers meant everyone was happy. One night they forgot our appetisers but still offered us free desserts to make up for it with huge apologies We loved this place

Bad service

Just came in with some friends for dinner and some pizookies. First of the waiter that was serving our table was super dry! She took the order and messed it up like 3 times. They served me my burger so i asked for some mayo. I finished it but never got the mayo. On top of that we got over charged for stuff we order but never received!!!! Very terrible experience

First Time here, wish they had one in Miami

Nice lunch 2 days in a row

By Ruth C |

My mom and I had a very nice lunch-we shared a watermelon salad and guacamole & chips. Then, in appreciation for downloading the app, we were treated to a wonderful cookie dessert. The best was the salted caramel cookie with ice cream- so good!! The waitstaff LOVED my mom!

Familiar and great

Needed a bite to eat and some wind-down time. This place had me fed and happy in no time.

Not As Good As Last Time

By Robert L |

Three of us went to BJ's for dinner last night. Once we were at our table, things started to go down hill. We waited, and waited, and waited. No one stopped at our table. Finally, I went to the front desk where I found what looked to be three "manager-looking" people talking. After about 30 seconds of not being acknowledged, I said, "Excuse me, no one seems to be assigned to wait on our table." In unison, I received a "Sorry about that, what table are you at?" I pointed to the table. Again, we waited. After another five minutes, a young lady appeared and stated, "I don't know this was my table. Sorry about that." Our dinners were ok but I have had it with BJ's.

Questionable atmosphere and large menu

By TheaTX |

Went here for a couple of drinks after a long day of meetings and was sitting at the bar. Was there a little early about 4pm and sitting on each side of me at the bar was obviously 2 ( 1 one each side) very drunk older men. I was feeling a little uncomfortable, but the bartender was getting off work and 2 new bartenders were coming on and they cut off both guys. So not long the drunks were gone. Watched about half of the first nhl playoff game which was quiet exciting given that the la king were in the playoffs. So my only suggestion is beware of the early drunks...other than that I only had a bowl of soup, but really loved their skinny mojitos

Great food, excellent service

By Tussox |

This was our first food stop on our trip to LA and a really good start to the holiday. After a very early and long flight from UK we arrived hungry and sleepy but it's only lunchtime here. I chose pasta and meatballs, my wife had a burger. Both arrived quickly and were really tasty. Neither of us could finish, it looked like I had hardly touched mine but I'd had a good go at it. Certainly could not leave hungry. All the while the waiter was friendly and refilled out drinks often - I so wish we had that at home.

Change for the better

By Pat B |

A bad time that included a long wait and awful food several years ago made me swear I'd never return, but some friends talked me into another try and it turned out completely different. We went there on Monday evening for the final college BB game and it was crowded but we were seated quickly and both the service and the food were terrific.
