Tea Salad was very good. Black rice pudding was very good and different for a southern taste. The sole dish was very good. The brussel sprouts were delicious. Small, make reservation on open table.

First Burmese food experience and I loved it! Ordered the platha, b sprouts, sticky fingers, spicy duck skin fried rice and tea salad. My faves were the b sprouts, sticky fingers and the fried rice! Soooo goooddd!! Absolutely must haves in this place. Service was good, place was crowded but I still had a good time!

Skip the dinner lines and come here for lunch instead. The On-the-Go Lunch option of $12 for a main + side is great value; I had the pumpkin pork stew which was very tender and flavorful and the lotus chips which was crunchy and delish. I really didn't want to like the tea leaf salad (i generally hate salads) but will have to grudgingly admit that the salad was quite delicious. There, i said it. *gasp* If i had to eat this salad everyday, I wouldn't be complaining. Great service, good value (for lunch)

This restaurant, and it's sister a block away, Burma Superstar, was really great. The B-sprouts (friend brussels sprouts) really are as great as the wait staff says, as is the rainbow salad. I'm still not even sure what all was in there, but it was delicious. The lamb curry was just kind of okay by comparison, but there were plenty of other entrees I would like to try there. Reasonably priced too!

Never had burmese food before this, but it was pretty good. The decor and ambience is casual and a great place to go eat with friends. They may be a victim of their own success as it took about an hour before we could be seated but they were very courteous and took our cell phone number so we can go to a neighboring bar to wait until a table opened.

Eclectic comfort food and yummy everything coming out of the kitchen. It's so under rated but never disappoints. Servers are knowledgeable and really nice. They can make anything happen in short order.

We have been here for several times before so were looking forward to going back. We called ahead and got on the wait list and Mark had a great table waiting for us and greeted us warmly: It took a while for the waitress to acknowledge us or even bring us water. We didn't get a hello, how r u, just an order taker ready with her pencil. We were offered room temperature water and there was no conversation from her. Our food was served by other people, she never came back to see if it was acceptable. She dropped off the check and that was it. Very cold and unpersonable. The food was great, we had a delicious soup, salad, French fries and a selection of tacos.

Get a reservation. We have been twice. Their signature dishes have been quite tasty, and service is good.

Went on Sunday for lunch after 1pm. Clement St was closed around the area of the restaurant due to a farmer's market on that day so parking was made doubly hard to come by but was finally able to get one on 6th Ave. We ordered the B sprouts and Rainbow salad for appetizers - both very good. Then for our entrees we ordered the Samusa Soup, Biryani, Lamb curry and an extra bowl of coconut rice. All cooked perfectly, service staff was friendly and helpful. For dessert, we had the ginger ice cream and chocolate cake. For myself, I also ordered the Lychee iced tea and I appreciated that the tea was placed in its own carafe so you can refill your glass at your own pace and not dilute the tea with the ice. All in all, an excellent place to eat very good food. Now if only the parking situation could be made better...

Our group, like many others, seem to have set out for Burma Superstar, the sister restaurant adjacent to B Star. The wait was 90-120 minutes at Burma Superstar and B Star's wait was <10 minutes. With young kids, this was huge (or even without young kids really). We ate family style. The spices and flavors were robust but not overdone. The spicy shrimp and noodle dishes were two of my favorites, though everything we ate was beautifully prepared and nicely cooked. The short ribs were outstanding as well. The beer list had some local as well as nationally known beers, with the Magnolia Pale being particularly good. The service was good and the prices reasonable for San Francisco. Definitely a nice experience for kids and adults alike.

Great atmosphere as well as amazing food options. Good tasted great and definitely want to go back to try some things I haven't found elsewhere. Recommending to all my friends as we speak. Had a fun time chatting up the bartender as well ;)

So we thought we were going to burma superstar, but this is a different place right down the street. Really good lunch, Burmese soup to start, and I had kau soi noodles, which I highly recommend. Full of complex flavors. Partner had lamb curry, which was good but not outstanding. When we walked down the street, there were about 20 people waiting outside of burma superstar. We walked right into B Star with no waiting. Desserts looked interesting, next time we'll try one.

Went here last weekend with our daughter who is a San Fran resident. I had never had Burmese before, and was very impressed. The food was outstanding!! My favorite: the tea leaf salad. Also tried the grilled calamari, the pumpkin stew. Each dish better than the last! Service great also.

This is a happy & pleasant place to eat. People are really nice. Food is delicious & a very good dining experience. Great desserts, as well. Their specialty is their Green Tea Leaf Salad & love the Squash Soup. This is the sister restaurant for "Burma Super-Star", but more casual. Same owners.

My friend took me and my mom here for dinner while we were in the city and I am so happy that she did. I have never had Burmese food before even though I would say I have an adventurous palate. We ordered drinks since that is absolutely necessary:) I chose the mango mojito, and while I don't care for mint normally, this was very mild with that herb. Since my friend had been at the sister restaurant Burma Star, she knew that we should definitely try the Green Tea Leaf salad. Don't let the ingredients intimidate you, because while it is a unique assortment of food, it somehow works. It has romaine lettuce, ginger, garlic, peanuts, sunflower/sesame seeds, tomatoes, lentils, jalapenos, dried shrimp, fish sauce, and fermented tea leaf. Sooo tasty!!! My mom and I shared the oxtail over mashed potatoes with gravy and spinach. I have never had oxtail and it is very flavorful but also fatty, so if you do not like fat, then I would steer clear. Our friend had the spicy shrimp and coconut rice which is to die for!! I think I would get that next time, especially the coconut rice. The best I have ever had!! Dinner time hour is very busy so expect to wait. Will certainly come back next time I am in the city.

I always wonder why people wait at Burma Star for hours when you can make reservations and usually get seated pretty promptly even without reservations at their sister restaurant B Star. We often go here just for the Brussels sprouts which are fried until crispy with rice puffs, light fish sauce and surprise ingredient shredded Parmesan cheese! Best Brussels sprout dish since SPQR stopped making theirs after the chef changed. Tom likes their pumpkin curry dish. We always get the paratha. Lunch choices combos are well priced and excellent (soup, main course, side). I good introduction for people not familiar with Burmese food.

good eats in a great atmosphere. we had the salt and pepper fries (perfectly made) and lotus root chips (delicious!) for appetizers. main courses were also a delight - we had the coconut chicken noodle, salmon in green curry (phyllo dough was a nice touch), pork bun sliders (yummy) and the miso cod (also very good). for dessert - try the espresso coffee drizzled over coconut ice cream (you can tell the ice cream was made fresh). all in all, a true delight in comparison to Burma Superstar (didn't even have to wait for a table although by the end of our meal, there were people lining up outside the restaurant).

B Star and B Super Star are sister restaurants that are blocks near each other. B Super Star is the one where people currently line up to get in and B Star is the one that has a Happy Hour - they are trying to bring in customers. We had the best grilled sea bass that we have had in quite some time and were introduced to a grilled yellow bean tofu appetizer that was outstanding.

A hunt for Burmese food led us to Superstar. A daunting wait led us down the street to their sister restaurant B Star. Hands down, this was the best food we ate while in the city and we're still thinking about it! We sat at the bar with Donald and he was polite, efficient and helpful. Our appetizers were incredible, followed by the soup (both were delicious) and the duck dish was incredible. Our friends had an equally delectable tofu dish with tangy and zesty spices. I don't care for "hot" food, but these spices were tolerable and flavorful. I can't wait for our next visit!

The food here is excellent! One of the best jooks I've ever had. An alternative to Burma Star if the line there is long - it's the same owner. When we were there, they only took cash. They will accommodate larger groups. Prices very reasonable.

We had heard good reviews and were in the area and decided to give B Star a try for lunch. It is small and intimate restaurant--we both found it very charming. Simply put, the Tea Leaf Salad blew us away! While my partner had it vegetarian style, I opted to have it with a bit of protein by adding shrimp. The salad has a great balance of Asian fusion flavor provided by the fermented tea leaf, garlic, ginger along with tomatoes and jalapenos that give it an added kick. But the best part is the tasty crunchy elements---sunflower and sesame seeds and peanuts. Combine them all and they pack a wallop! My partner had a side of delicious Butternut Squash Soup and I had a mini platha, which is like a cute little potato cake. {see attached photos} We will definitely be back when we return to San Francisco!

One shared meal, 3 dishes: Grilled calamari, Tea Leaf Salad, Mushroom Taquitos. First: rubbery, third: just plain uninteresting. The second however was fabulously good! I'd go just to get that again. So, I'm going to say that it's hit or miss.

We particularly enjoyed the tea leaf salad and the spring rolls. The restaurant is not large, but they do take reservations. My nephew who ate with us felt that this restaurant is less wholly Burmese and more pan-SE asian/Japanese influenced than the other Burmese restaurant he eats at in the Mission district. Regardless, it has terrific food and frankly the Richmond district is a HECK of a lot nicer than the Mission which is really too gritty for my taste. We really enjoyed our meal and would happily go back.

Both are excellent but very different B Star is my favorite; with a more delicate, light, and flavouful cuisine, quiter ambiance, more attentive staff; it is more for a tete a tete meal. I would chose Super Star for a big group of friends. The Biryani and Quinoa Hijiki salad with salmon were delicious. We also enjoyed Kau Soi. The Banana Sesame split was mediocre.

great Berma Food...Rather I would say its a fusion of Asian food ...We tried their Samosa soup and we loved it..they have great variations in food for veg and non-veg so there something for everyone...but do not forget to make a reservation before you go...

Restaurant is pretty empty and there is a line outside Burma superstar. Now I understand why. Literally everything was bland. 8 different dishes. All meh. The ginger lemonade was good. Overall Can’t recommend it. Don’t go.

We arrived just in time to participate in the happy hour - which was an exceptional value. We ordered the first course off the happy hour menu and then did entrees off the regular menu. The food was delicious with the duck spring rolls, curry lamb entree and taco duo being especially good. The restaurant is very casual. A bit out to the way, but worth the trip.

I could go on and on about the things I loved about my first visit to B Star, but numbers one through ten would be the food. Simply delicious, fresh, creative, unusual, and spiced perfectly. Reason eleven is that, unlike SF restaurants in a more heavily traveled location, B Star doesn't take itself too seriously. The waitstaff are terrific, friendly, and welcoming, and the prices are very, very reasonable. But did I mention the food?! Run, don't walk, to B Star!

This place does a great job preparing their Tea Leaf salad -- a uniquely Burmese dish that is not to be missed (I say that even though we plan to eat Burmese at dinner tomorrow and will order it again -- just at another Burmese restaurant). I also enjoyed their spring rolls and the unusual sauce that came with them. Reasonable prices and decent service too.

I hadn't come here in years, but was reminded how good B Star is when we ate here with a large party (8 people). We were seated in the back covered patio area, and it felt like we had a private room to ourselves! The food is very tasty, and I especially liked the tea leaf salad (better than Grocery cafe and Champa garden, in my opinion), the sticky fingers, and the B sprouts.

....first time here...about 20 tables...parking on street not hard to find nearby...casual...good service...good food/Asian/Thai...shared rainbow salad/the best! shared steak tomato dish/includes potatoes..very good but very spicy...shared dessert/don't know name but it was pastry-like with nutella inside & sliced bananas & sauce & scoop ice cream on top/delish! Full bar/Happy Hour with good selection of small plates. We'll be back to try more!

Ordered many dishes which were fun to share. Service was quick and the food came promptly. The Tea Leaf Salad is a MUST....great flavors and textures. I didn't care for the chowder, but my table mates though it was good. Other dishes we ordered were the spring roll (best part was the sauce), cauliflower (amazing),. and a few others I was too full to partake in. I would definitely go back!

Came here for brunch for the first time and was surprised that the menu was eclectic. I was expecting straight Burmese food, but that's down the street at "Burma Star." I ordered the Filipino breakfast and it was excellent! On the side, we had the brussel sprouts and while I haven't been a huge fan in the past, this was so deliciously prepared, I had several helpings and asked for a take-out menu!

We wanted to go to Burma Super Star but it was closed and they sent us down the street to B Star their sister restaurant. I was not at all sad because I had one of the best meals I have ever had in San Francisco. Everything is so fresh and tasty and the price very reasonable. I started with their homemade platha dipper which was fresh flaky bread served with an excellent curry dip. I seriously could have gorged on this alone. For a main course I tried the signature Kau Soi. It was an excellent blend of flavors including pickles, egg, cilantro ,onion etc. My daughter had the tea leaf salad assembled in front of us with an interesting sauce of pureed tea leaves. There are also many vegetarian options if you have someone avoiding meat. All in all, it was unusual and extremely tasty.

Don't confuse this with the other restaurant (down the street) of a similar name. This one is more fusion asian but still have some of the dishes from the same owner. And just as good (if you can't get in the other one which does not accept reservations. Try the Basil Chicken, lettuce cups, and Pepper steak. If you want real Burma food, ask the server and she/he will point out the dishes. Get the "blossom" tea for a real treat.

I don't know if it was because I was really hungry or if because the food was really good, but I have never felt so satisfied after eating out before! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. Our server made us feel like we have been there several times before (we have not) and we were regulars. Extremely friendly and attentive. This is my new go to spot whenever we are in the area. I definitely need to make my way out there for dinner some time.

This restaurant was recommended by the bnb where we were staying as her favorite. I think it is everyone's favourite. The local in our party agreed too. We booked on the day and had to try several times to get a time before 8pm. Many people turned up without a booking and I think they may have been disappointed. The food is great and really different. I had pumpkin squash soup and a mushroom zucchini side because I was tired of everything fried. They are famous for Tea leaf salad. My companions had lamb curry and pork . It is described as Asian fusion but if you are bored with what is offered in most other restaurants try this one. It is on the healthy side and hard to choose, as there is a lot of choice. Apparently brunch or lunch is the best time but I am guessing it is full all the time for good reason.

Wow this place is good. Had a nice early dinner one evening and the atmosphere was very nice as well as the staff. I had a curry pot pie which I am craving writing this review and probably will never forget. Everything I tried was good and I would go back for sure.

The food and service here is fantastic and with the Happy Hour prices that are available for both food and drinks, you can't beat the price. I agree with another reviewer who loved the brussel sprouts and the Tea Leaf Salad- they both were super!

The menu is so original, tea leaves salad for example. Five or six different kinds of tea, one more original than the other. I tried the Dragon white tea, if I remember well. The spices exotic. All what I tried there so far was delicious and ... different. And the price? Very affordable. The staff is friendly, the place very busy. Worth trying without a doubt. Enjoy.

We came here because Burma SuperStar Restaurant was jammed pack and only knew about the 2 places because a friend who lives in SF recommended these places. B Star seemed a little small and crowded when we walked in until they led us to the back to a wonderful and private covered back area to eat. Lovely! We had lovely sunlight and a cozy seating area away from the hustle and bustle. There were so many things to choose from on their menu and a few of the things we resorted to were (can't remember the exact names): -Soft shell crab sandwich with side order of fries -Tofu sandwich -Chicken curry w/ rice All were very yummy! Perfectly spiced and seasoned. If you cannot handle any spiciness at all then let the server know before hand as one of our friends ordered a salad and found it spicy. We liked this place so much that we were planning on coming back again for dinner during our stay in SF but alas we ran out of time running around and trying so many other places as well. If you're in the SF area, you have to try this place. Oh yea, their Tea Salad was featured on the Food Network. Need I say more? Do it! You won't be disappointed!

went here because yelp recommeneded it if burma superstar was too busy. glad that i went. the beer fed pork and the butternut scallops were awesome.

Make a reservation - otherwise you might have quite a wait. Tea salad was good, but we thought the brussel sprouts were more unique. The fish dishes were cooked perfectly and the curry was great. You can not go wrong dining here.

Such a neat place with great food and wonderful service at a good price Made our trip to go to this place A little off the beaten path but safe area

The best pork sandwich ever.

Great little bistro -- dinner without reservations in SF in a delightful restaurant with a great menu and PARKING! Of course it was a weeknight and a bit early (6:30pm). Great lamb curry, superb miso cod. This restaurant was a surprise and a delight. We'll be back ...

The food was amazing! Unique flavors and fresh ingredients mixed perfectly with the clean atmosphere and excellent service. Get there early and be prepared to wait if need be, it's worth it. Loved the garden rolls and lychee tea!!!!!!!!

We went to Burma Superstar restaurant nearby, but the wait would have been over an hour, so we were referred to its "sister" restaurant 2 blocks away called B Star. Never having tried Burmese food before we were intrigued. We tried one of their signature dishes, a Tea Leaf Salad, an interesting melange of greens and crunchy elements. We then had a curry soup with "felafel" in it which was super spicy but delicious. Next we had a vegetable noodle dish that was outstanding. Then we had a red chili tofu dish that was good but was so loaded with red chillies and sliced jalapeños that set our mouths on fire. We then finished off with a very interesting "Black Rice Pudding" accompanied with coconut ice cream. It was very tasty. Overall, the service and food was good and our food came out very fast, although our server seemed to forget about us toward the end of our meal. I would strongly recommend this restaurant, but suggest you have a chat with your server to express how hot or spicy your preferences are, so you can avoid a fiery surprise.

My obsession with Burma Superstar is well known so I was excited when my friend suggested we try their sister restaurant for dessert. Definitely very good, not as good as Burma Superstar but very nice all the same.

Our friends live nearby and this is one of their favorites. I can see why. There were 6 of us so we were able to try a variety of dishes and everything was amazing. I had never had Burmese food and never knew what I was missing. Then again, there certainly isn't a Burmese restaurant where I live. The Tea Leaf salad and miso bass were probably my two favorites but wow, everything was great.

My friend had made a reservation and we are forever grateful that she did. We were seated once our party had arrived. Our server did not introduce herself, though she was training someone else since she had followed her every footstep. Once we were seated, we had only decided what to drink and get for appetizers. We told our server what we wanted for appetizer and she didn't come back to us to ask for our entrees, though we told someone else. The food tastes great!! Our appetizers were awesome, our entrees were delicious and the coconut rice is a must! Overall we had a pleasant time!

This is seriously good food. We had an amazing meal tonight. I had the Miso Cod on garlic noodles and it was AMAZING! I would order it again in a heart beat. Seriously, so tasty and well done. I was with group who ordered a variety of dishes including the Brussel sprouts and green papaya salad and from, start to finish, (even the ginger ice cream and coconut afogato) everything was delicious!!! What a rare experience.

I had an interesting experience at Bstar today. At the beginning, I was surprised by the lack of cleanness of the bar: liquid was spread where I sat and no one was disturbed by that. I ordered food but with little hope. A simple but efficient service and a very good level of quality of the food made me change my mind about the place. One waiter rushed me at the end but it was 2:55 and the kitchen was closing at 3:00. A little rude though. In a nutshell : very good food, heterogeneous service and cleanness to be improved

Interesting menu, great food, pleasant service. I had a Japanese dish with salmon, which was great. Riblets, lamb curry, spring rolls, black rice pudding/dessert - everything is highly recommended!

Great neighborhood to visit in SF and great place to eat. For those not familiar, Burmese cuisine is, itself, a fusion of several tastes from SE Asia. This restaurant takes that fusion and fuses it some more. The Tea Leaf Salad is a unique combination of flavors, none overwhelming, and not to be missed. I had a salmon pot pie, As you might imagine, it has some of the characteristics of a pot pie -- crust, potatoes, peas, sauces -- but with a spicy Asian twist and yummy salmon. My companions' meals were different and delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was efficient without being overbearing. It is a casual atmosphere but the tables were far enough apart that we felt great privacy.

I was a little lost and a lot hungry when I stumbled across B Star. Staff were friendly and helpful and I enjoyed an excellent lunch in this small neighbourhood restaurant. The menu was interesting with a number of vegetarian options. It was a great introduction to Burmese food too and the ginger lemonade was the perfect pick me up. Would definitely eat here again.

Sad how a terrible waitress can ruin a potentially wonderful meal. Food was good and other staff courteous. But over all experience: horrid! I could rant for paragraphs on how many times I was offended but will spare the gorey details. Considering all the amazing choices San Francisco has to offer, I would not return to B Star.

We went here as a party of 6. Thus we were able to order quite a few dishes to our hearts ‘ content. They were mostly delicious, especially the Tea Leaf salad , cod noodle and tamarind shrimp. This place has a better ambience compared to Burma Superstar down the street and the food is equally good in my opinion.

Don't tell the people in line at Burma Superstar, but Bstar is a cooler spot with better atmosphere and the food is either the same or better. Plus Bstar takes reservations. The tea leaf salad and samusa soup are great, and for a real treat try the salmon curry pot pie. mmmmmm

We went here because Burma Superstar was too busy, and I must say that it was really very good -- I almost prefer it to Burma Superstar. The ambiance is nice, the cocktails were awesome, and they have all of my favorites from Burma Superstar and more. Also, we were able to get in with no problem. It was a great experience. We were a big group, and got to sample lots of dishes. The Samusa soup was not quite as good, however.

From the start, we were hooked. We were a little late for our booking, having been stuck in traffic. This did not prove to be a problem. From the moment our server, Dana, greeted us, this was an experience to savour. Every morsel that passed our lips was so scrumptious, from the tea leaf salad, to the samosa soup, lotus chips, their special sprouts, biriani, sea bass, miso cod....just everything! Dana could not have been a more helpful and thoughtfully attentive server. Thank you Dana.

Go for an out of the ordinary and truly delicious meal. We enjoyed a delightful brunch...check out the photos. Portions are very generous. It will be hard to decide -you could share but definitely order the thing you don't order for just you - for the table. The banana milkshake, stuffed azuki almond banana french toast, chicken croquette hash.( You must be getting hungry by now.) We sat in the front booth, (there is also a patio) the service was friendly, informative and the place has an all around good vibe.

Easily one of my favorite meals ever... Pan-Asian fare prepared with a Burmese flair = YUM. I don't even know what to say anymore.

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants that I have tested in San Francisco. The food is a fusion between american and asian food, it is healthy and very good.

Fresh hummus.

We tried only appetizers during this visit, but we are very happy with most of the dishes - especially the yellow bean tofu and the calamari.

A store front busy restaurant with a wide variety of distinctive and good Asian dishes. Great to have different dishes to share. very different flavors all interestng. Best of our dishes were the brussels sprouts, the tea leaf salad and the garlic noodles. very reasonable prices

We were originally planning to go to the renowned restaurant next door, but it was full. Now I don't even remember the name of it. But will never forget B Star. We ordered a lot of things here and everything we had was delicious. I think of it often. All of it.

The wait for Superstar down the street was almost two hours, so we tried this sister spot with no wait instead. Tea leaf salad. That's all you need to know about this place--get it. It was probably the most delicious thing we had in the city. Unfortunately, the rest of the menu didn't live up to expectations. They apparently have apparently disregarded the vast majority of Burmese items here. We were directed here with the statement that it had a limited menu, but the same choices as Burma Superstar. That was not the case. It was still quite good, just not what we wanted.

The B Star Bar is ranked # 46 in the 3676 San Francisco Restaurants by Trip Advisor. It serves American, Asian, and Burmese cuisine. The restaurant looked small from the outside but inside there was ample room. The décor and ambience is pleasant. We ordered their famous Rainbow Salad, Grilled Calamari as appetizer, Basil Chili Tofu as our main entrée and a carafe of Cabernet Sauvignon. The food was served promptly, freshly prepared and was just delicious. One word of caution is that we were not asked what hot spice grade we prefer- not sure whether this grading system exists in the restaurant. For my wife it was a bit spicy hotter for all the food served. For me it was just fine. We were given plenty of water. The service was very efficient, courteous and professional. The price of our meal was reasonable. Overall, we had a pleasant and great dining experience. The B Star is an A restaurant!!!

A small place yet so popular. The food is delicious and the price tag was very reasonable. The tea leaf salad was a special hit to my wife. She finished the whole plate leaving me one bite to taste. I think the contrast of flavor and texture makes it special. The lamb curry was very well cooked. The meat was tender soft and the curry flavor was rich. Their cod (or bass?) was anther good one. Very juicy and tender. I was pleasantly surprised because most of the grilled fish tend to be over-cooked and dry. The setting is a neighborhood type, casual, noisy, busy, and compact. Be there early or you will be like the rest of the crowd waiting outside watching others enjoying their meal.

Never had Burmese food before- what a wonderful experience. Food was excellent and service great even though they were very busy on New Years Eve. Will definitely return!

Just had lunch at B Star Bar today - brunch to be exact. Fried egg on a potato stuffed croquette filled with chicken, cabbage, bacon & cheese. And, it has this spicy aioli between the croquette and the egg. What a weird and wonderfully delicious combination of tastes - it is a terrific and filling breakfast. Strong coffee to boot and it's back to work I go.

Everybody seems to have heard of Burma Superstar; there's always a queue outside their tiny location, and for some inexplicable reason, people are prepared to wait an hour or more for a table there when a perfectly good Burmese cuisine place just down Clement steet. Yes, B-Star. It's a great choice for lunch, brunch or dinner. Granted, their somosa soup is just a tad less flavourful than the one at the Superstar, but the rest of the things I've tried here are very tasty. Plus, they have a bar, where you can also get a table. All in all, the place rocks.

A bit too busy, but well worth it. Creative food prepared with great skill. It is a true fusion as it should be. It's sister please Burma superstar was even more busy, hour and a half to wait, so we had to settle for this one. It was good.

I don't like brussel sprouts. But here I can't wait for my brussel sprout appetizer to be served, it's so good! My favorite entree is the Tea Leaf salad by far but the squash soup was also pretty amazing. I like this place as much as Burma Superstar, and the wait is much shorter. Only downside for me is how noisy it can get.

After looking at an almost hour wait Burma Superstar I opted to leave the line and go to B Star the other restaurant owned by the Burma Super star folks and only two blocks away. I am so happy to to have discovered this incredible restaurant. Offering some menu selections from the Superstar menu, B Star offers a majority of exceptionally well prepared Pan Asian selections. My party of four adults were all impressed with the high quality ingredients and exceptional flavors of all the food choices we ordered. Worth trying are the Duck Lettuce Cups, Tamarind Chile Shrimp and the Vegetarian Lentil Curry. Because of its popularity, reservations suggested.

Promptly seated for evening reservation (yay!) but then we were overlooked and ignored for a good fifteen minutes before we hunted down a (very busy) server. Things improved from then on, as drinks and food appeared quickly. Every single bite we ate (three entrees, a rainbow salad, and some side vegs shared btw four of us) was *absolutely* delicious. The place was packed with younger patrons and noisy, but the food made the initial wait and the crush of hipness bearable. Esp appreciate being able to reserve.

The appetizers were 1/2 off and absolutely delectable. Green papaya salad, Chicken satay bites and the mussels. In addition we ordered a pitcher of the mango mojitos. All for under $45. Do it! You'll love it!

B Star is the sister restaurant to Burma Superstar. It has a bit smaller menu but the same high quality food and wait staff. I took my mom there and she loved the food. Everything was tasty and well presented. I recommend B Star if you want Burmese food and need to make a reservation.

Great experience! Had the miso cod and salmon pot pie for entrees. Excellent!!! Flavorful and filling. We started with the plathas which was the Malaysian equivalent of the roti chennai dish. Also was great. Our waiter was really friendly and gave us a sample of the ginger lemonade (too strong for me). We would go back many many times if we lived in the area. Opentable makes reservations. Happy hour goes til 7pm weekdays. Go early for quiet.

Came for dinner with a bunch of friends. Appetizers were quite good - fried green beans, tofu and spicy cauliflower. Mains were ok - miso cod yum. Salmon ochatzuke was a bit too crunchy. Vegan curry noodles not so much. Prices very reasonable.

Our 1st experience with Burmese cuisine...& it will not be our last♡☆ We were lucky...had no reservation but were able to get seats...this place is very popular so plan ahead! Please see posted pics ...all our dishes were delicious, fresh & exotic!!

Not as good as Burma Superstar but they do have ahi tuna!

I am not a fan of chinese food but I relented to my friends and agreed to try this restaurant because it had good reviews. WOW! I loved it. We went on a Monday and it was packed and they sat us on some sort of covered heated patio which was great. We split the rainbow salad (fabulous!) and I had some tuna mango tacos which were to die for. Normally I do not like my fruit and meat to touch but this worked. The service was great. I did take a while for our entrees to come but we had appetizers and a pitcher of Anchor Steam so all was good. It rocked!

2nd visit to Burma Super Star and this place is a hands-down a Super Star!!!! Took my wife there to experience some of the most unique flavors and tastes I've ever had in my life and we waited well over an hour and half for a table. Let me tell everyone.... it is well worth the wait. Burmese food has become my favorite because of this spot and I can only hope that the state of Colorado will someday bring these tastes to the region!!!! Run, don't walk... to Burma Super Star... Vegetarian Soup, Rainbow Salad, Chili Lamb (very spicy) are all divine!!!!!!

Very good for brunch. I enjoyed the flavorful congee.

From the south south bay We would drive far, Because we love it Burma Star. (Months later, I still crave a return visit. It was so delicious. Please open a branch down the penninsula so we can visit you more often.)

Back in San Francisco, and still hitting my go to spots! Had a work lunch meeting with my assistant and we were in awwwwwww as always...... I could not mention work, nor did she! We were in our happy places, sitting in our favorite booth in the window! We got there before the lunch rush! So the moment was enjoyed completely. Got home later, tossed the leftovers in the fridge, and found them today!!!!!!!!!!!! Garlic Noodles, B-sprouts, Pumpkin curry....I surrender! Don't forget to ask for the yummy Thai ice tea! Still the best!

I came with a friend for dinner. We ordered a few appetizers since we weren't very hungry. I thought they were pretty good. I liked the burmese fusion menu they offered. It seems like some things are really good while others are misses. My friend did not like their Thai iced tea - he mentioned that it tasted very watered down. I think it's worth trying out at least once.

Enjoyed a very good lunch here recently. We all had the lunch special - an entree + a side. I chose the Shrimp and Chicken Biryani and a side of butternut squash soup. The soup was AMAZINGLY good!! The Biryani wasn't a traditional one, but the meat and shrimp were well cooked and the rice fine. I would have preferred that the meat and shrimp be cut up and more incorporated into the rice, but that's a smallish quibble. The others in the party had the pork with white beans - delicious and a side of spring rolls, which were satisfactory. Very good attentive service and reasonable prices. Overall, a fine choice for lunch if you find yourself on Clement Street in the city.

We were trying to find a place for Brunch and stumbled upon this restaurant that looked like it was quite busy - a good sign, I guess. We went in and was put in the corner table for 2, kind of sandwiched between another table for 2 and a large group of people. I ordered the Rainbow salad which was quite yummy and a Vietnamese coffee that took forever to come! The host and servers who delivered our food were really great and friendly but our server, was a bit odd. First, he took our order and never really came back to check on us. We were waiting for a good 20minutes for our Vietnamese coffee and when it did come, it was cold. It was really good, I just wish it was hotter! We had to ask another server to check on our coffee order and I think he brought it out instead of our server. Another server delivered our food and the same one who checked on our coffee came by to check on our order after it was delivered as well. Not sure what happened to "our server" as he never came back to our table. I sure hope they split the tips!

Tried to get into Burma Superstar, but the host or hostess never appeared in 5 minutes, so we walked over the B-Star instead. Same owner, similar menu, not as busy. Had the Tea leaf Salad based on recommendations from friends, and it was fantastic. However, being a meat/potatoes person, I had difficulty finding something I liked on the menu. Tried a Chicken and Shrimp dish, and it was OK, but not for me. I found the vegetarian noodles flavorful, refreshing, and surprisingly delicious even though I was hungry for beef. The rest of the party loved the black rice pudding and some bannana/nutella/filo dough concoction for desert. The wait staff here was very attentive.

Great food and drinks! Decent price and great size of portions. The staff was really helpfull and nice. I would totally recommend this!

We shared a banquet with friends and thoroughly enjoyed every last bite and all raved about how unique and flavorsome each dish was! I look forward to returning to B Star on my next visit and now have very high expectations for the flagship venue! :)

Great little find in another mini Chinatown in sf. The food is creative and delicious. Worth the wait and the wait staff is friendly!

B Star is probably one of my favorite restaurants that I have had since I have moved to San Francisco. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is fantastic. We had Kat as our server a while ago and she was extremely friendly and attentive. If you decide to go to B Star, request Kat! She will take care of you and your guests!

We had two people recommend B Star, and it was our last dinner in and probably was one of the best. I have Pumpkin Pork Stew. I wish Florida had more diversity of restaurants like this.

B Star is B-Liciousssss!!! What a lovely little tasty comforting and ambient place to go! I am a very lucky girl to have a best friend in San Francisco that tells me of these newly and undiscovered wonderful places that is off the tourist path! YUMMY describes the food and this is from someone who never really liked Asian food. They have helped turn the tables. Little did I know that rice has this amazing talent of taking on different flavors and consistencies that I never thought of! The staff was very kind and attentive. We were well taken care of and I felt they actually cared about our experience, which was fantastic! The food is perfectly tasty, and if you like ANY Asian food, you have a place to fall in love with. We were lucky in that there was no line due to holiday weekend, but it is best to go early to avoid lines. The bloody mary is delish, and has wasabi in it! MMMM. I ordered Kau Soi and it was perfect! Loved the sides of pickled cabbage which tasted amazing. My significant other and my friend both ordered Salmon Ochazuke which I will order next time. Their rice was amazing and when you poured the soup over it, it would puff up! Fun, delicious and healthy! There is food for any taste here, too, you will find something you love! I will definitely come back to B star. Now could they play B rated horror flicks too? ;)

Fantastic! Amazing food - spicy soups with a complex mix of spices - incredible salads with an awesome fusion of flavors. So tasty and so different! Great atmosphere, vibe, and excellent service. Will definitely be back!

Not their fault, but the parking in the area is terrible. Leave plenty early so that you are not arriving late like we were . They graciously held our table for 10 for at least a half an hour, which would Never happen at home. Food was excellent; all 10 of us loved their meal. Exotic cocktails (cucumber Margaritas' anyone?) just added to our positive experience.

Short version: we were a big group, and the staff clearly doesn't know how to serve us. The restaurant was located in a sketchy neighbourhood. And you could get much better food down in Burlingame and elsewhere. Long version: Disorganized reservation system: Made a reservation for a party of 10 for 8:15. We called at 7:30 to confirm, and were warned there may be a 10 min delay. When we arrived at 8:10, we are told that the wait time is 20 min, and we should wait in the Irish pub across the street (which was cool, but that's another post), since there is no room for us to wait there. We finally got seated at 8:55. Poor Service: a waiter introduced himself as the one who "will be taking care of us" at about 9:05. And he took drink orders. At 9:20, another waitress arrives to announce "Kitchen is about to close at 9:30, would you like to order food?" -- what happened to the guy who will "take care of us?" We order a soup to share, and with 10 of us, only 9 individual bowls arrived, where the staff ladled the individual soups. (perhaps the staff thought one of us can drink out of the serving bowl?) when we asked for a 10th bowl, we literally just got a bowl. One of our own had to ladle and serve the last portion. In terms of food, I've had better: compared to my previous Burmese experience, which I will not name except to say it's in Burlingame, the tea salad is flat in flavour, came pre-tossed. (Burlingame one tossed at the table). The miso cod's fish chunks were flavourless. And the pumpkin pork had a lot of pumpkin, not as much pork. Only redeeming virtue is the final bill came in less than average. Location was also weird. It's on a fairly dead street, and not a lot happening (except Irish pub). And when I had trouble with my Uber app, I asked for the staff to call a taxi. The staff said "I don't know if taxis still pick up this late in this part of town". This is about 10:30. I don't know if this is just the way SF operates, but in other cities, if someone tells me that taxis won't come here at 10:30, I would avoid that area. Also, in whats around 1200 sqft dining room, there were five surveillance cameras. I found that odd and ominous, but maybe just me. So, to recap: if you really want burmese, you really could do better.

From the moment we sat down and were treated to the lotus chips until we left, we were oohing and aahing. I loved my tea leaf salad. It was so unusual and tasty. I'd highly recommend this restaurant and would recommend reservations as it was quite busy.

Visited B Star with family a few weeks ago. Like most of the restaurants in the area, B Star re-opened at 5:30. Unlike the others, it was pretty happening 15 minutes later. The menu was very strong...lots of rice, lots of interesting tastes, and an excellent happy hour menu. The Lotus Chips, Butternut Squash Soup, and Satay Bites stick out as some of our favorites...and we ate a lot. The beer menu was also strong, as was the service. Definitely would head back next time I'm in town.

We always enjoy this place and love to take people from out of town here. The Brussels Sprouts are killer-like fried candy! The Tuna Ceviche is so good we almost got more for dinner Our other delicious starters were the Duck Lettuce Cups, the Tea Leaf Salad and the veggie spring rolls. Great vegitarian choices to satisfy non-meat eaters as well as meat eaters. Our party shared the Pork with White Beans, the Sea-bass, Steak Kabat and another 2 orders of fried Brussels Sprouts for dinner. Get the chocolate cake with ginger ice cream for dessert. Great service and, even though it was very busy, we never felt rushed. Only suggestion is that the chairs in the back dining area are really uncomfortable and made our legs feel we were losing circulation.

I am pretty vegophobic, but my hair stylist insisted I try the tea leaf salad. I did, and I absolutely loved it. I paired it with spicy spare ribs, which were fabulous. I was so happy with the food, I had two more orders boxed up to brighten up the day of a couple of shut-in friends.

Tried to eat at the original, Burma Superstar, but the wait was so long the host wouldn't even take our name. He kindly suggested B Star, their "sister" restaurant. The food was ok, but not worth the hype. Staff and ambiance were also nothing to rave about.

The place was extremely loud and busy, which in itself is not a problem, but apparently the kitchen was not able to handle the high demand. The fish my wife ordered, trout with mango slaw, was off (sour, spoiled smell). At least we did not have to pay for the dish. The other dishes were not really fresh either. Disappointing experience.

The wait list for EAT'S, B Star's sister restaurant, was over flowing due to the Sunday farmer's market, so they referred us to B Star. We have frequently dined there but never considered them for breakfast or brunch. A nice surprise. Try the Longganisa Breakfast. Uniquely spiced sausages over sunny side up eggs and fried rice.

Have eaten here several times and gave never been disappointed with the good or the service. Favorite apps are the brussel sprouts and the lotus chips. We had the mussels at this visit and were very pleased. The lamb curry and rainbow salad were on point, too. The chocolate cafe with ginger ice cream was a great way to end the meal. They have a good variety of beers and cocktails. One member of our party uses a walker and the staff were very accommodating. Happy hour is 5-7. If you haven't been - Go!

This place is also owned by the Burma Super Star family. The menu is different, more homestyle. The food is very good, but I prefer the food at Burma Super Star. It is easier to get a table at B Star, though.

We went here for New Year's Eve and were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food and drink were amazing. We got there in time for happy hour and the drink and appetizer specials were great. Also the prices weren't bad and you got big portions

Atmosphere- Great, very laid-back. We made reservations for a group of about 13 with no problems. We sat out back and it was very cool to be on the back porch under the night sky. Food- Food was awesome. I sampled several appetizers. The bread was good, the samosas were good. The tea leaf salad was awesome. Its a little bit of a different taste, but I REALLY liked it. For an entree I got brown lamb curry, and it was delicious. For dessert I got the black rice pudding. It was a little more savoury than most rice puddings I've had but it was still awesome. I would absolutely go back over and over again.

Came for a Saturday brunch at 10am when it opened - get in early because the place gets packed quite quickly and there was a queue by 12pm. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. It's fusion Asian and as we had a big table of 12 people, we got to try a variety of dishes including my favourites: B Sprouts - really great flavour and highly recommend Tea Leaf Salad - lots of different bits give it great flavour and texture - nice crunchy salad Platha dipper - the layered flatbread was puffy and crunchy Black sticky rice with coconut ice-cream - delicious Would definitely go again the next time I'm in San Francisco.

This place rocks. A friend and I shared a lamb curry and several starters, ranging from traditional Burmese (tea leaf salad, samusas) to brilliant, genre-defying brussels sprouts with furikake, popped rice, fish sauce, and Parmesan. That and the tea leaf salad were really memorable. Cozy room, nice cold beers, easy parking by SF standards.

We had wanted to eat here but without reservations there was always a long wait. Arrived at 5pm, the first customers of the evening and had choice of tables. We stayed with the special beer and sangria for happy hour and ordered off the specials. We enjoyed the many flavors and tasting treats. I have never had such wonderful brussel sprouts. We almost didn't order them because it was described as having a fish sauce. There was no fishy taste and they were crisy, perfectly prepared. The pork belly tacos and the sticky ribs are fantastic! It is easy to make a meal out of the happy hour choices. We even took food home for a snack attack later.

First time trying Burmese food and what sn excellent experience. Arrived in time for 30 minutes of happy hour. Tried pitcher of sangria and beer, both hit the spot. Brussel sprouts are amazing, as were the calamari. Mushroom curry pot pie, butternut squash soup and tea leaf salad all terrific. Service was very fast and friendly. Tables are quite close together. Overall a fantastic meal!

My husband, nephew and I ate here this evening, because the wait at the Burma Superstar was too long, and the BStar was recommended as an alternative. We all shared the Tea Salad, which was very good and had interesting flavors. However, none of our main dishes (Pumpkin and Pork Stew, Chicken and Shrimp Biryanis, and Duck Skin Fried Rice) was anything special, and none of them was hot temperature-wise! We did not send them back, because the staff could barely keep up with the demand as it was; although the service was friendly and pleasant. Perhaps this was just an off night, but we were definitely disappointed.

B Star is the sister restaurant of Burma Super Star, and both have wonderful Burmese food. B Star has many of the same items as Burma Super Star including the green tea leaf salad . In addition it also has many other dishes from other areas of Asia. My husband had a vegetarian curry and I had a soft shell crab sandwich with lotus chips -- both dishes were great. B Star takes reservations which Burma Star does not. As locals know, one can wait an hour for a table at Burma Star. We had lunch there and street parking was plentiful -- which is not the case at night.

We originally went to the Burma Superstar, the sister restaurant. Even at 9:00 there was going to be an hour and a half wait! So they sent us to B Star one block down, same owners. It was fabulous! We shared a few things with a party of four, which were all amazing. The Platha Dipper, Tea Leaf Salad (mixed at the table, so good!), Kau Soi, and a duck dish that I forgot the name of. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was great.

this is an offshoot of burma superstar, but focuses on more fusion/pan-Asian food; i think i like the food even better than Burma Superstar and they take reservations.

Super good food every time I go. The tea Leaf salad, the samousa soup and we had some spicy beef thingy that was just killer. Go. You will not regret it.

This place is busy, so if you don't have a reservation, maybe show up early for lunch. The menu attracted us-we could see it was an ambitious Asian fusion type. We ordered the Asian Niceois salad and the white beans and pork. The tuna came seared (virtual sashimi) and the salad with a peanut sauce type dressing was good-edamame, bean sprouts (raw), hardboiled egg, etc. My husband's pork and beans was seasoned with 5 spice with a salad on top of the hot stew! The side of butternut squash soup was seasoned with cumin. The Thai tea was very strong, but good. They have a wine list. The ginger ice cream with berries didn't seem to work well as a combination but good ice cream, though.

It was by default that we landed at B Star Restaurant for dinner as the Burma Super Star where we wanted to go was over crowded . The receptionist there suggested B Star which is a sister concern. Even here, we had to wait for 30 minutes to be seated even on a working day. The restaurant specializes in Burmese and Pan Asian food with a few Indian snacks added to the menu. We ordered Samosas and the famous Tea Leaf Salad to start with . The salad was great! . Our main course consisted of a fried shrimp dish with liberal helping of Tofu, sticky rice with vegetable curry . The food was very tasty and the service was good. The place is very noisy at this time of the evening.

This review comes in very late, we went with my mil and a friend in august 2014. Our 4 month old was entertained by the busy restaurant and thus allowed us to enjoy the scrumptious dishes we had ordered. Fish in a curry, veg stir fry, dessert, chicken everything was so so so good!!!!

I took my two local hosts to B Star Bar since I wanted to introduce them to somewhere new. Trip Advisor was spot on again! We ordered a total of 10 appetizers for three people and walked out very happy for about $100. I'd read some reviews online so tried the Brussel Sprouts in our first wave; wow! Great textures and flavors! Even though one person was against them walking in, we ordered a second Brussel Sprouts plate in our second wave. The rest of our first wave of small plates included: duck lettuce cups - very good, tuna cerviche - very good but a small portion, calamari - also good but didn't seem grilled. Second wave: sticky finger mini ribs - very good with an excellent sauce, pork tacos - excellent mango and tomato salsa, chicken satay - excellent with a cucumber yogurt sauce. Even though we thought we were done, we tried the black rice pudding for dessert and really liked that too. It's a little reserved, but sweet and tasty. Next time I'll order it with an extra scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall excellent food and a great experience; we walked out full but not stuffed...and talking about what to order when we go back.

Came here twice during our stay in San Francisco. We came here on a Friday afternoon around 2pm and had no trouble getting a seat. My boyfriend ordered a rice dish with some pork loin and I ordered the lamb curry with rice; both lunch specials for people on the go. We also tried their lime iced tea and it was so refreshing. The food was delicious! The staff was very attentive and came by to check on us every once in awhile to make sure everything was okay. The food was so good we came back for dinner on the Sunday the Giants won the World Series. I have read quite a few reviews saying they needed reservations, but I guess we were lucky in the sense we always come after the peak hours and it was during the Giant game. For dinner, my boyfriend had the salmon pot pie and it and I ordered the sea bass. Mine was a tad salty so I did not finish the vegetables under the sea bass as it was drenched in their sauce, but the sea bass was very soft and tender. We also ordered a beer and sangria and both tasted kind of bad..Not sure if all their alcoholic drinks tasted like that, but ours did not match up to par with the food dishes we had. In regards to parking, we managed to find parking relatively quick compared to the rest of the city. Make sure you have change on you because some of the meters only take coins. There is a convenience store on a corner just 1-2 blocks away from B Star where you can get some change.

Having heard good things about this place, we made a reservation, arriving at 6:15 and finding the place packed already with a line out the door that was still there (and longer) when we left at 8:30. They advertise "happy hour" and an apparently fancy drinks menu, but they do not have a full liquor license and all their drinks appear to be mixed with beer or rice wine. We were not impressed. Hopefully they'll get a license to serve hard liquor soon because their creativity is not enough in this area. Food, on the other hand, was as fabulous as we had heard. We tried a burmese flatbread with a curry dip, which we really loved, as an appetizer, then shared a grilled miso cod dish and a curry pot pie with salmon and a delicious asian squash that seemed something like a sweet potato. Really outstanding. The atmosphere was OK. The front room seems nice, if small. We were seated on the back patio, which could stand to be spruced up a bit (especially the ugly concrete floor). However, the place has a nice vibe, the staff is friendly and efficient (and several spoke Spanish, which we appreciated). The prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the food. We also tried desserts, which were good for an Asian restaurant, but not as strong as the rest of the menu, in our opinion. The black rice pudding was good. We also like another dessert that I think was described as a rich chocolate cake with ginger ice cream, which had a nice bite to it. Both good, but not necessarily memorable. However, we'll definitely want to go back and try more of the appetizers and main courses!

I tried this place on a Friday night based on a recommendation. They do take reservations but this was a last minute plan. We put our name in and had a 40 minute wait so we went across to Plough and Stars for a cocktail and were called within 30 minutes. Seated at a corner table in the busy restaurant. Server arrived promptly to check for drinks and any questions. We had the vegetarian spring rolls and the mushroom samosas. Both were flavorful and freshly made. The sauces were spicy without ruining the dish. The Tea Leaf salad is amazing. The various textures and flavors made each bite different and the combination of crunch from the seeds and nuts along with the fresh tomatoes was delicious. It was great to be in a restaurant that provides a real variety for vegetarians and we will be heading back here.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friendly assistant at Lucky Star Jeans while on holiday and we're so glad we took her advice! Lovely decor and ambiance, friendly and helpful staff. The food was interesting, flavoursome, delicious and memorable. When we told our waiter how we heard about them they treated us to dessert - ginger ice cream - to die for - the most delicious ice cream I have ever tasted;)

One of the best Asian fusion places I have eaten in. A great, moderately priced, interesting meal. We had Tea Leave Salad, sauteed brussel sprouts, black cod (the best), wonton soup, thair curry salmon. Not a bad serving among them. Ambiance also has an Asia feel (no, not the Chinatown tourist Asia but today's Vietnam)

Really happy with my experience at B Star. Lotus fries were a cool thing to try (the root of the lotus plant is sliced and fried much like potato chips). I had some kind of pancake-like dish, I don't remember what it was called but it's reminiscent of papusas. The veggie spring roll was the freshest I think I've ever had.

B Star is one of the most delicious restaurants in San Francisco. Grab a reservation to avoid the long lines and enjoy one of the world's great cuisines: Burmese. Really? Yes, really. The food is uniformly tasty - spicy but not too hot, sort of like Thai but not quite, a blend of herbs and spices that is heavenly in everything we tried. Particular recommendation for Tea Leaf Salad and the Pork & Pumpkin stew, but we have never had a bad bite here. Nice selection of beers on tap is offered in different sizes. It's a bit less noisy in the back room and the service is uniformly good.

I live down the street from this fantastic restaurant, as a traveler I thought I would share my local knowledge with the tripadvisor universe. Clement is a great street that most tourists miss, if you make the trip you will be rewarded. Same family as the more popular Burma Super Star but with a few more advantages: B-Star has more tables and takes reservations, better drinks and brunch.

If you like the original Burma Super Star you will definitely enjoy this place. Located down the road from Burma Super Star this place has quite the ambiance without the crowds. Food quality and service are excellent. Would highly recommend.

I was here for my Friend's birthday celebration, the service and the food is pretty good. They a good selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

In a word-FABULOUS! After going to the De Young Museum, my girlfriends and I enjoyed an early dinner at this fantastic Burmese restaurant. The flavors are complex, the dishes original, the prices fair. Try the ginger infused beer as a refreshing beverage. Their tea leaf salad is scrumptious, the duck dish was amazing, and we adored the ribs. Anything you order, you’ll love. Make reservations or you’ll never get in.
Yum!
Caught the tail end of brunch and it was super good, bummed I didn’t order a side of pancake cuz they looked great tho. Enjoyed a non alcoholic beverage, and everything hit the spot. Was totally eyeing all the food they brought out.
