I visited Baby Blues BBQ for an evening dinner with friends and family. Everyone in our group loved the food. All BBQ'd to perfection. If you're in LA and looking for a casual dining restaurant with a great atmosphere and the best ribs in town, then put Baby Blues BBQ on the top of your list, you won't regret it.

If i could i probably give it 2 and half stars. We got a meat platter to share. This is the order i liked the meat 1. Tri tip was good 2. Brisket decent. 3. The smoked chicken wasnt seasoned well and the bbq sauce on it wasnt good. The pulled pork and ribs were no good. The collard greens were good. They taste reheated not fresh. The mac and cheese wasnt great. The smoked chicken rice had no chicken. The corn bread tasted like box mix.

If you want BBQ this is the place! Ribs, pulled pork... cornbread, slaw... on and on... DELICIOUS! Very casual and very delicious food! All sauces we tased were Excellent!

I had seen this place on the food network and it looked great. Visiting LA for family I flew in from Florida where we know barbecue. I had the sliced brisket sandwich that was juicy, tender, with the right amount of pull and fat. My gf had the pulled pork sandwich while my son had the pulled pork platter. Both said it was tender and juicy. The XXX sauce gives you heat and flavor. For the sides, good but the mac & cheese excelled. The cornbread was a little dry. This might be a little nit picking. Service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely come here again on my next visit.

The place is cozy, they made a very good meat. It's perfect for a dinner with friends. You can eat a lot with the right price.

I was out of town for two months - in Barrow, AK (far far away, top of the world) and two weeks ago I started craving BB BBQ so badly. It's like that, the food is really just so good, the vibe and service equally great once you go it becomes a frequent place to eat. I am only blocks away and I eat here several times a month. Go. You will be glad you did. It's all great eats, I love the collard greens so much.

Went to this place for lunch three times now. Food and service has been consistently good. Lincoln Blvd. is a busy street, but there is free parking allowed in the lot right across from the restaurant. The menu has a great selection of southern comfort food. I had the pulled pork and smoked chicken plates with collard greens and corn bread. The meat was tender, juicy, and there were a variety of delicious sauces. The collard greens were good and were in a thin tomato based sauce (tangy). I also had sweet tea (and it was definitely sweet). The corn bread was moist (but still crumbly) and had whole kernels of corn through-out the bread. The presentation was nothing special (what you expect from a home cooked style) and the place is very casual. The lunch meals with tea and tip run about $20.

The service was fast and excellent. The food good (despite not having french fries) but a little pricey. I paid around U$S 25 for the ribs shown in the picture which weren’t big.

I live in Missouri, and I would say that Baby Blues is some of the best BBQ that I've ever had! Our waitress was very friendly, and the pulled pork sandwich was amazing!

The yelp/google reviews surely hype this place up really well. After getting my meal I wonder if I was at the correct location. I ordered the sliced brisket on a soft roll. I was excited to try the Mac and Cheese but then that looked just as horrible as it tasted. It seems like the macaroni is boiled first then clumps of "cheese?" Is added shortly but with hardly any seasoning whatsoever, it had this texture like it was reheated once too many. Once I receive the sandwich, I was excited to try it. It was extremely dry and even cold, as it was just sitting there waiting for it to be brought over to me. The brisket was so dry, the only thing here deserving the two stars was the BBQ sauce on the table. Unfortunately I'll doubt I'll ever step foot in here again.

The menu is somewhat limited and never changes but you don't care. You came here because you heard it was rich thick meat-heavy BBQ done the right way. Plus some old-style country greens, corn, sweet potatoes, etc. This feels like the best style of classic BBQ you'd find in Texas, Arkansas, or the American South -- only better. There's both weird art and high-quality oil paintings on the walls spun off from local Venice artists. And the LA slant is (of course) they have a staff of beautiful nice young waitresses wearing Venice-casual beachy attire. And prices are reasonable. The only negatives are: a very limited wine and beer list, and it can get crowded at some times creating a wait for a table. Also the location has easy parking but the view of Lincoln Blvd is kind of nightmare-LA-streetlandia. NOTE: If you are a person on a zero-carb diet or a "PALEO" diet this can be a great place to eat. Also if you are a bodybuilder or athlete craving a ten-pound plate of protein, you can get it here. TRY: The grilled shrimp, the only seafood on the menu are super tasty and a good value. Don't miss them.

We arrived and had a 20 min wait. Its a small restaurant, and very popular too. So we didnt baulk at the wait time. The hostess was keen to have us sit round the bar and wait. We could watch the team in the kitchen and relax to the amazing BBQ aromas. Food - We had to go for various combinations of the Baby back ribs, Memphis ribs and the Tri tip. Its really great BBQ and enjoyable to the last piece. But what was most appreciated was we had ordered beer and by mistake they brought us Racer 5 bottles - which were much larger and a lot more expensive. I was expecting this to then get messy....but the staff just acknowledged it was an error and it got sorted out. No Stress....and that made dinner so much better.

I'd eaten at Baby Blues earlier this year & loved it, so when on my return to LA my friends suggested we go again, I was excited!!! Our large group were welcomed & looked after beautifully, hospitality is aa good as the food here!! I've eaten ribs in many places but for me, no one does ribs as good as Baby Blues, SO good that we ate here two nights in a row!!! My fav are the Baby Back Ribs but everything on their menu is delicious, I also love the Giant Shrimp & Chicken Wings!!! Leave room if you can for the Banana Cream or Key Lime pies, they are a revelation!!! Baby Blues, please keep doing what you do so well - serving awesome food, maintaining standards & keeping customers like me very happy indeed 😊👍💛

I wanted a place that wasn't fancy for a good barbecue. Found it!!!! A place as I imagined, as I looked for, as you can find in the heart of America than in Brooklyn. Well cooked meat and served on simple trays with a good IPA beer on tap. Very nice and friendly owner If I go back to Venice I will definitely come here to eat

I have been reading about how good their BBQ is. I have eaten BBQ all over the south and was extremely disappointed in this place. I had their pulled pork sandwich and there was no flavor, the meat was bland, no smoke, no spice and the coleslaw was no better. Even after drowning it in BBQ sauce it was sad. I have had better in a fast food place.

Had chicken wings, ribs, pulled pork, beans and cornbread. All food was really good, huge portions and not expensive at all. We split one main and could not finish it.. Total cost for chicken wings and one main including beer came up to around 60 dollars. However, I was chocked regarding the ambiance. I say you can absolutely go here - but you need to be aware that it is very rough/rustic ambiance in a bad sense. Not at all romantic - rather feels a little bit like eating at an old style gas station..I would not say it is a good place for couples dinner, more for a guys night out. However - if you don't mind the ambiance - you should definitely come here because the food was great!! :)

My friend and myself went to go check this BBQ Joint out because it was on the show Diners Drive Ins and Dives! Guy Fieri was right this is some killer food and the staff were very welcoming and had great hospitality! There were 2 waitresses thier names were Aurielle and Tyrus were awesome and very nice! The next time I visit LA I will be back! Thanks for having us!

We were recommended to visit by work colleagues, so felt obliged to go. It is walking distance from Venice beach and marina del Rey but in an out of the way location. But this is a must do place to eat. In fact if i where to return to LA it is the only place i would insist on revisiting. The food was amazing, it literally changed our lives, we cam home to Australia and bought an offset smoker bbq to try and recreate the food.

We were a group of four and all of us really enjoyed what we had. The pulled pork sandwich was great, very flavorful. They have a decent selection of sides, although we didn’t really like the Mac’n’cheese (it was a little bit bland) and the cornbread wasn’t great either. The service was quick so it’s a good spot if you are in hurry.

The restaurant is certainly nothing fancy. Lots of street parking which was good. Very small so call ahead and check out the wait time. We had a family plate, ribs, chicken cornbread and mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. Moderate prices. The service was very fast. Certainly can be called a homestyle bbq place. The ribs are amazing.

The food was delicious I thought my pork ribs where tasty until I tried my husbands Beef rib which was sensational. Reasonably priced, great atmosphere.

Go here if you like meat - not for a vegetarian! We loved this place and felt we had certainly experienced a USA bbq joint! We had the set meal with meat and two sides and were stuffed. Would definitely recommend. Its a bit of a walk from Venice Beach but worth it.

This was our first visit during the pandemic. It’s great that you can still get AWESOME barbecue food here. This could have been a 5-star rating if the visit hadn’t started off with a snippy skinny teen girl telling us we had to take our food to go. I had called in advance of a two hour trip to have dinner here (it’s that good) and told the back parking lot had been converted to a dining area. Once I told her that she relented and said we could eat there. There is ZERO service so once they deliver your food in a bag, you won’t see anyone again. I highly recommend the brisket. The ribs are awesome as well. Skip the potato salad. It’s nasty and served warm. Potato salad should be yellow and cold at a bbq place.

On a zero carb diet. Meeting my daily through BBQ pits. Flying through LA and found this gem in Tripadvisor. Ordered 1/2 slab baby back ribs and 1/2lb of tri tips. Both very different and done perfectly. Portions were generous too. 1/2 slab was $15 1/2lb tritips was $14. Friendly service Clean Casual Definate return!

This BBQ joint has good food and service. There is nothing stellar about the place and it isn’t the best BBQ I have ever had but it is serviceable and you can get a good meal here!

still not texas level quality but for LA this is pretty much as good as it gets. Only reason i don't give it five stars is that sides are ok but not great. But that is very typical of "old fashion" bbq joints...they focus on the meats and that they do in spades. the brisket, ribs....basically everything is very good and at a fair price. Staff is friendly and the service is good. if you are near venice, this is definitely worth a stop.

Barbecue at its finest, nothing compares, we had wings five ways, regular, sweet, spicy, sweet/ spicy and XXXX... needless to say there were succulent and fiery with wonderful bbq charcoal taste to each one, the beans and coleslaw was a perfect accompaniment, next time we might have space for main course meat fest too, as other diners food looked incredible, the banana cream pie and key lime pie.... Perfect end to a great weekend in the Venice and Santa Monica area.

Got the brisket and pulled pork both were great but the Mac and cheese was the real star. Will go back just for the Mac and cheese.

Very busy when we arrived at 7.30pm but they found us a table. Lovely attentive waitress who talked us Brits through the menu. Ordered drinks and they were delivered within 2 mins. We ordered a family tasting plate which contained two types of ribs, bbq chicken, pulled pork and brisket. Also had sides of chicken flavoured rice, mash potato, coleslaw (very tasty) and the best corn on the cob coated in Parmesan cheese EVER. DInner took 15 mins to arrive at the table and the waitress checked on us a couple of times. Drinks were also refilled regularly. We chose this restaurant because it featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and wanted to try something local and it definitely didn't disappoint :-))

The ribs well done and very fast service. The beer was bad!!! Good mudice but too loud. Friendly attenders and always around. Expensive for what you take but thats BH...

Had heard so much about this place prior to my visit and was not disappointed! Wonderful service, a great menu, it is easy to spend time here enjoying the awesome BBQ items on offer. I enjoyed the succulent baby back ribs with a side of slaw, was totally satisfying and super delicious. Will definitely be back on my next trip to LA, loved it!

Everything we had was delicious. I had St Louis style ribs and my girl had baby backs. They were seasoned right and fell off the bone as they should. Sides were awesome as well. Mac & cheese was awesome. Really pleased with this place and will go back.

The flavor of the baby back ribs was to die for. The ribs were so tender and meaty and fell off the bones. The flavor was out of this world. I would put this restaurant against any Southern BBQ establishment. The sides and corn bread were also outstanding, delicious and very fresh. The wait staff was very attentive and made sure everything was OK. Just love this place

We stopped in for some BBQ today at Baby Blues. The staff are great!! We got quick an efficient service! The food is so fresh & tasty. I had 1/4 chicken white meat with sweet mashed potatoes& corn bread. My guy had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans& corn bread. They have a selection of sauces on the table , my mix is xxx & sweet BBQ!! Great food with great service!! We love Baby Blues& will be going back very soon!

I wanted to try the restaurant after being featured on several Travel/Food shows. Coming from the South, I was impressed with the flavor of the Barbecue. I now try to stop by there any time I find myself flying into Los Angeles. They describe their style as "hybrid" which would be an accurate description for the food and the atmosphere. I enjoy the Pulled Pork plate and the different styles of the sauces they offer. The mac and cheese is very good. The beans are a little different and that may be that I prefer my wife's beans and hers are hard to beat in a restaurant setting. The decorations pay tribute to the different "Southern" styles, Texas, Carolinas, Tennessee. I seem to stop by on "off hours" when they aren't particularity busy. Their service has always been quick and attentive, Located just North of the Airport, in Venice, it is easy to stop by on my way driving North to Ventura County.

The food was delicious and the portion sizes were decent for the price. Our waitress was helpful with questions and gave great suggestions. If you get there later evening, plan to wait as seating is limited and it's a popular place.

If you're in the neighbourhood, have a meal here. The food was excellent (ribs were meaty, tender with little fat), service friendly and attentive, and all at a competitive price. Our friends visited last year and recommended it - we were not disappointed. Parking is easy as there is a small car park for nearby shops off Lincoln.

my wife and i have been here several times and are never disappointed. pulled pork, ribs,,, they have it all. small and cozy with friendly staff and great food. loved it and look forward to going back.

We stopped by here after checking the TV Food map app and seeing it was featured on DIners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The lunch menu was still going but I was hungry so I tried the sliced Brisket from the main menu. My associate had the chopped Brisket. The flavor of the meat was Fantastic. It had a good 1/2 inch smoke ring and just the right amount of smoke flavor. It was very tender and it was obvious it was cooked for the 12 to 16 hours to really do a Brisket right. It obviously was cooked to 195 to 200 degrees to make it so tender. The sides were good also. I had baked beans and mashed sweet potatoes. Next time here (and there will be a next time). I will try the delicious looking corn on the cob I saw on someone's plate on the way out !! The waitress was very pleasant and told us the history of the place etc. Don't confuse this with their other location also on Lincoln but in Santa Monica. This is the original that was on DDD.

Enjoyed this little dive during a girls trip to LA with a bunch of picky eaters that could only agree on Southern Comfort food on our last dat. All 5 of us were VERY pleased with our food. We tried the dry rub wings, the catfish, chopped brisket, and pulled pork. They have a half dozen bbq sauces on each table and we all really enjoyed the sweet and hot sauces. Side dishes were not forgotten! The cornbread was moist and sweet, the blue on the cob was new and enjoyable, a friend complimented the collard greens and all were pleased with the keylime pie. We will be coming back to this dive the next chance we get, if at least for the cornbread and KL pie. Fast AND friendly service too.

We loved Baby Blues! The atmospehre and service is great. Prices are decent and you get your money´s worth. Memphis bbq & pulled pork were delicious! Would definetley come back!

Baby blues BBQ is a fantastic restaurant. I was incredibly impressed with both the service and the food. I went with the Texas style beef rib, with macaroni and cheese and pork and beans, then also ordered some of their sliced brisket all the cart. I finished up my meal with a order of their banana pudding. When we got there at only took us about 20 minutes to get seeded, considering it's a first-come-first-serve basis that wasn't too bad. I will say that the chairs weren't very comfortable, but that was literally the worst part of the experience. The servers were quick to get our drinks as well as our orders, and the food came out in a decent amount of time. The brisket tasted amazing, though it was a little bit dry for my taste. Still happy that I ate a pound of it though haha. The Texas style beef rib, my goodness it was fantastic. They sell it at market price so it was a little bit pricey, but I don't care the thing was so good. The seasoning, the way it was cooked, the portion size, everything about it was just awesome. The rib also had a damn good bark to it. Macaroni and cheese use actual cheese, so it had quite the stretch when I was trying to eat it The pork and beans was great, they used pulled pork for it. Reminded me how my mother used to make it The banana pudding tasted great and had a fantastic consistency. One common mistake I see with banana pudding at all places that I go to is that it's more yogurt than it really is pudding consistency. Their house made banana pudding was incredibly creamy and wasn't overly sweet, and of course was served with those necessary vanilla wafers. The restrooms were clean and well-managed, they're only two in the restaurant though so keep that in mind. This place was easily 4 out of 10, my main gripe being the furniture just being incredibly uncomfortable while we sat there throughout our meal.

So I live in Vermont..when will I get back to LA? This place is great. Flavor is King. Hard to find parking.

Very friendly staff full of smiles. The sauces were fun. But the BBQ. Being the meat. Just OK. Much better with the sauce. So long as you know that's what you're getting into you're set!

Spent 2 weeks in LA and we ate here twice. Great authentic BBQ place always busy which is a good sign. Reasonably priced and friendly staff

This is a great place to eat meat dishes. Smoked beef, brisket, pork, chicken and RIBS plus lots more. The meat is so juicy and tasty you'll be licking your fingers. Recommend the ribs or burger, wings are a great starter and I loved the corn on the cob. Plenty of sides available portions are good size so you may be taking home your leftovers for lunch. It's a spit on the floor type joint and you eat and leave pretty much. They have afew types of beer and a house wine red or white is the choice. It's simple, tasty and you'll definitely be back for more.

Funky western look inside, yummy BBQ, good service, special lunch menu that includes drinks so a bargain.

I used to cater food from Baby Blues all the time and it was a huge success. Yesterday I decide to stop by and for my surprise the food was good but nothing spectacular. Service was ok and a good experience overall but not my favorite BBQ restaurant in LA.

Stopped by Baby Blues BBQ in LA with some friends and it was such a fun and relaxed spot. The atmosphere is casual and lively and perfect for just hanging out and enjoying a meal together. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was fantastic, tender, flavorful, and packed with BBQ goodness. Everything else we ordered was tasty too and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and kept things moving smoothly. If you want solid BBQ in a no fuss fun setting, this is a great spot. I will def come back!

Amazing authentic barbecue with both Texas and Memphis style ribs, wings, beef sausage, pulled pork and smoked chicken. Lives up to all awards and reputation!

The ribs we ordered were nice, no question about that. Portion wasn't very big though. The venue is very dark and a bit filthy, not very nice place for eating in. Compared to what you get for your money it seems to be quite pricy as well. Wouldn't recommend it in the end.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, compares to an ice cold beer with good people, a buzzing atmosphere and hearty, tasty food. The food is insane!! Ribs and cornbread- you really cannot go wrong! Easy to share, easy to eat and no formalities. The people are just as nice. Amazing service and you just feel really welcomed. Tops it off that Baby Blues is in Santa Monica, one of my favourite areas. Adore Baby Blues BBQ.

They work at a frenetic pace to get orders out as quickly as possible. Pork ribs could not have been better - great LA Westside barbecue. We will be back to try more of their menu!

I ordered delivery. Always have their yummy BBY backs but wanted to mix it up and went for the burger. It has cheese mixed in the meat I think. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I have tried kobe, porterhouse, and serloin burger s. This burger destroyed them in every way possible. One downside is no fries.

I love BBQ. This BBQ was about 50 miles from me through heavy traffic (getting there and then back home). Rustic urban is about how I describe the setting. The restaurant used 3 store fronts on a block in Venice, CA. The place was intentionally fatigued and distressed, kind of BBQ natural. The menu is terrific with everything you'd want including okra, collard greens, chicken fried rice and all the meats. At our table for 5 we had a brisket platter, 2 tri tip platters, one combo of chicken and ribs (st louis), and one beef rib that surely came from a brontosaurus. We had collard greens, okra, pork and beans, rice, mashed potatoes , corn on the cob, and mac and cheese (one of the best I have ever had). Every one of the sides was excellent, delicious. No regrets. Along with the beef rib, they were the stars of the show. The Meats-The beef rib was gigantic, tender, tasty, falling off the huge one and it was $40 and worth it. The combo of chicken and ribs looked excellent but I didnt get to try it, my sister finished it and licked her lips. She is particular. She was happy. My wife and sister in law both had the tri tip and both failed to eat more than a tiny bit. The meat was very tough. Very disappointing. I had sliced brisket for $20 and it was three large, thick slices of black pepper coated brisket (I had never had it like that before and not sure I liked it much). I ate most of it but it was less tender than brisket should have been and we came at prime time, Saturday night at 6. They needed to bring their A game and too bad, the brisket disappointed though not as bad as the tritip. We finished with an array of deserts; banana pudding, Chocolate pie, Key Lime pie. All were OK, but none were grandmas special recipe either; just ok. Nice beer list. I liked the restaurant and the servers and the speed and attention.

This was a take out dinner for our family . Pulled pork sandwich was very good..Tasty macaroni and cheese, & collards.. Coming from the South & I love fried okra, but did not care for this presentation at all! Family had been there before & will go back but pass on the okra..

I visited this restaurant on 10/29/2015. I went here because it was featured on Food Networks, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Its a small location on a corner of a not so great neighborhood in L.A. I had the Rib Picker with Brisket and my wife had the Sliced Brisket Sandwich(se photos). The food lived up to the hype. Tasty and cooked perfectly. Eclectic decor and really cool place. Worth Checking out.

Ribs was great. Puller pork was great. Chicken smoked Rice was great. Potatoemash was as mash is often. Coleslaw was good. 6 different sauces to add was present on the table. Food came fairly fast. Services kind. Value for money was fine. Acoustics not too good and our seating was quite drafty. All in all - I would come back for meat!

I was somewhat skeptical about eating BBQ in Venice beach but this place knows how to apply the smoke! I got the brisket and my wife got the tri-tips. The brisket was absolutely amazing! The sides were great too. We got the mac n cheese, collards, and cole slaw. They were all great. Service was good and the draft beer was ice cold. Definitely worth your time to go eat here.

I moved to LA in 2010 and this was one of the first restaurants I stumbled upon - and it remains one of the best and one of my faves! Their BBQ is always delicious and flavorful that's been smoked and seasoned just how I like it. I'm crazy for their mac and cheese and even more so for their corn on the cob with chipotle butter and cheese (trust me, it's awesome). Whenever my son visits me from the Midwest he always asks to go here at least once. Don't get hung up on the fact it has a plain cement floor, no-frills table and chairs, and food is served on random plates and dishes - all of those just add to the quirky charm of the place. They put all their effort into the food, not the decorating! :)

Found this place on a google search for good ribs in LA. The place looks like it would be for locals but was quick and friendly service and the Baby Back Pork Ribs were yummy.

The food tasted very good and even enjoyed certain things I had never thought to try before (pulled pork with corn bread) I liked the vibe of the place and enjoyed the cool music related stuff on the walls. The service was good and overall we left very satisfied.

We got here to taste burgers or ribs. Finally we had a couple of their burgers: simply one of the best never tasted in US. They serve with mashed potatoes and bread very very good. I absolutely suggest you.

Looking for a good meal with mates, Look no further. This place is great! Food and service spot on and music was good too!!

Old-style venue, old-style service, great menu selections of food and drinks. I couldn't go passed the Memphis ribs with sides of mac n cheese and chicken-smoked rice. Yum.

This is our go to bbq spot when we are in Los Angeles. Their babyback ribs are always fall of the bone. The chicken wings are also amazing. My favorite has to a be their grilled corn on the cob. Great selection of bbq sauces.

Food was delicious! Better than Sylvia's in Harlem. Lunch sandwiches range from $9-$12 and include a drink and a side. Highly recommend!

Loved this place Extremely simple and chilled relaxed atmosphere Loads of choices with great vegetables and the meat was great. I went for the brisket and spot on Reasonable price for big portions too

WE took out on Saturday night and the food was incredible. The white meat chicken had an incredible flavor and texture. The baby back ribs fell off the bone and were sauced perfectly. The pulled pork was also a treat . The Memphis style flavoring is unique and very tasty. The Mac and cheese to die for and the creamed spinach were great sides. Their corn bread not to be missed and they even through in a wonderful lemon pie for a special treat. Can't wait to go back!

I decided to try a selection of meats from their BBQ range, and opted for takeout. I tried their sliced brisket, baby back ribs and pulled pork with popular sides of mac and cheese and chicken rice. I also had BBQ sauce on the side. This is one of the best BBQs I've had for a long time. All of the meat was juicy, smoky and well flavoured. I was little disappointed by the mac & cheese - could have been cheesier for me. The chicken rice was pleasant enough - but I think I should have had at least on dish to lighten up the meal. I will definitely eat here again, given the chance.

If you want great ribs with out all the bells and whistles of a high end restaurant then this place is for you. Fans of the Netflix series 'House of Cards' will relate to this place as it is similar to the often visited Freddie's BBQ in feel and taste (I imagine!). Really tasty food, good prices but don't expect a fancy wine list!!

Hubby and I stumbled across this BBQ place and we were not disappointed at all. Everything we had was great. ... Memphis style ribs, brisket, chicken, corn, rice..... AMAZING!!!

The lunch specials to 4pm seem good value and I got multiple meats - really good hot links with a smoky chilli taste plus brisket and pork that had a good flavour but were a bit chewy. Not the best BBQ but good staff and a funky restaurant area that stands out in this barren strip.

Another visit to Baby Blues BBQ near Venice Beach was very filling and satisfying. This is not only a great place to eat. It must also be a great place to work because the waiters and waitresses are always warm and friendly. Everybody here has a good time. A recent photo on the wall reveals Bill Clinton (who probably knows BBQ) was here just a couple of weeks ago.

Thats right, I couldnt believe it. If there is one thing I thought California lacked were amazing local BBQ joints. And Baby Blues delivers! I went there for lunch just as they opened Thursday. Ordered tge sliced brisket with a side of corn bread, and an iced tea. For about $11 for the sandwich I've seen biggee portions, but its a nice size, but it stands out for its quality. Warm fresh bun topped with a good portion of delicious beef, topped with slaw, and the tqble sauces are amazing! I preferred the sweet sauce, not too sweet with a little kick still. The regular takes out some sweet and ads more kick. I was too chicken to try the XXX sauce. The cornbread is one of the best ive had recently. Its dense like many others, but unlike the others it was moist, warm, and had chunks of corn inside. Next time I'll see if they have honey as that would be a great topper. Service was great, parking is available across Sunset Ave in the Fox Discount store parking lot. Definitely will be back.

I love BBQ. I love to cook it and eat at great old style BBQ joints. Trust me when I say you need to order the beef rib. It is expensive, but we took half of it home. There sides are all amazing as well.

Delicious Ribs, pulled Pork and especially sides A real treat The welcome is really nice and the value for money unbeatable Recommended +++

We started with ChickenWings which were excellent, continued with Baby Back Ribs, and Memphis Style Ribs, both were also, excellent. Sides were very good, specially the coleslaw which was exceptional. Portions were huge ! We simply couldn't finish what we ordered. Table next to us were experienced guys who ordered two main courses for three .... much wiser ... As the saying goes, that there is an extra stomach for desert, we finished with a Key Lime Pie which was, again, excellent. Highly recommended.

My first American BBQ experience and I enjoyed every bite. Good portions and super tender meat. Only thing I'm not sold on in Collard Greens, but that might just be me!

We went on recommendation from some people we met. The wings are amazing. I found the ribs a bit dry, but then we ordered the BABY BLUE BURGER. I could eat this baby every day. Cooked medium with bacon and cheese in the pattie!!! This was one of the most amazing burgers I have ever had. I’m going back next trip to LA. See you soon.

Perfectly prepared baby back ribs. Small tables but okay. Good service. Fun to look at the historical posters

The baby back ribs fall off the bone. Several different homemade sauces to choose from. I liked the sweet sauce and the spicy porno sauce the best. The creamed spinach I ordered as a side was phenomenal. I can't wait to go back and try the briskit. Prices are a little steep. Dinner for two with no drinks came to $50 bucks before tip but I was stuffed.

No frills bbq. Although there was nothing bad, there was nothing that blew my mind. It's good bbq. You won't complain, you won't leave hungry and the best thing I had was the sides... Just not much to really say. Hey do have some nice art pieces in there though.. Sorry just not really memorable..

This was my first real experience of American BBQ, this place was amazing, I honestly can't describe how much I loved it, from the atmosphere of the restaurant to the very friendly staff (tyruss was just super lovely. The food was amazing (those flavours really just burst and the meat just melts off the bone) and such a great price we had a main me each plus dessert a sodapop with free refills and 2 beers for $63. Honestly if you are thinking about checking this place out do it.

Visited Baby Blues BBQ while on holiday in LA. The meat was cooked well and tasted delicious. The sides left a little to be desired and the waitress didn’t clear the starter plates before the mains were brought out. Definitely still worth a visit.

Forget the chains, give this place a try. We stopped on way down to airport and we were not disappointed. The Memphis Ribs were awesome. Very tender and fill of meat. My wife enjoyed the Suicide Kimg appetizer with pulled pork. The sides were good, especially the Sweet Potatoes. Very friendly staff and great prices for the quality and quantity of food. Will be back!

We ate supper here and I got the BBQ sandwich on soft roll and my wife got the Ribs. The sandwich was great (comes with slaw on it). My wife said that the ribs were the best she has ever had. The waitress (Meghan) was a doll. She asked where we were from because of our accents. We told her and it turns out she went to the college we both work for back east. We talked to her a while and she was really nice and friendly. The place kind of looks like a dive, but don't let that stop you from going because the food is great. Would definitely go back. It was like $30 before tip and we both had water.

Fries were amazing. Collard greens were awesome. But the ribs were a bit disappointing. The ribs weren't bad, but they were a long way from amazing. They were very average. The location is great. The outdoor dining are is perfect. But the ribs were just average. And that was disappointing.

We came here for dinner, we wanted to try something other than Mexican food. The service was cool and so chilled out and so was the atmosphere. The price was average, around $16 for a main. Sadly we didn't like the food at all, it just wasn't for us. The barbecue flavours are an acquired taste, even the macaroni was odd tasting, so we left hungry and got Mexican food. I wouldn't go back purely because I don't enjoy the taste and I'd only recommend for those who really enjoy BBQ flavours.

Good value, great portion size, attentive service without being overbearing. A visit with 3 friends in mid June, one Mason platter, couple of iced teas and I left contentedly stuffed. My only gripe would be the quality of the sides...burnt strange tasting cornbread and Mac and cheese that was just mush, a pretty bland mush at that. Overall a solid 7.5/10, certainly worth a visit and one I will return to try again.

We were looking for something else and stumbled across this place. We were very pleasantly surprised. Fall off the bone ribs and tasty pulled pork. No complaints here.

All types of bbq in 1 location! My favorites are the brisket and shrimp. The beef rib is huge and enough to share easily. the pulled pork and pork ribs are also delicious. Very casual and easy to take kids. The sides are yummy.

Service was excellent and fast, the food came quickly and the portions were very big (on the picture you can see what they call 'half' portion of brisket) Babyback ribs were also delicious, the meat is juicy and a bit faty, falls of the bone and you get an assortment of sauces at your table. Sides were nice but not memorable to me (you can get second serving too it seems) I would definitely recommand and go back too

If you are looking for an authentic BBQ experience but find yourself in the much too posh and "foodie" world of west LA, take a pit stop over at Baby Blues. They are a down home no nonsense good ol bbq locale that won't leave your taste buds or appetite down! This is real food! Brisket, ribs, mac n cheese, greens and more. You clean up with a paper towl and you take your full stomach on your way! I recommend not wasting your time on the sandwich items and going straight to the meats! I mean, hell, this is why you're here isn't it?! The sides are pretty awesome too, you won't let yourself down, but the meats, YES! I could go deeper into details of their great bbq sauce options, how tender the beefs are or how much I just love the old school mac n cheese warm and fuzzy. That however would ruin your self discovery! Go enjoy and thank me later!

A neighborhood restaurant right on Hwy 1. If you're a tourist, stop by! Unpretentious. The beer is cold, the staff friendly, the ribs delicious and the pulled pork sandwich wonderful. And the okra was a tasty surprise!

We were advised by some locals to visit this place as the 'best ribs in LA' and we were not disappointed. The waiter helped us choose our platter as we were not sure of the portions and we had a good choice of baby ribs, texan beef ribs, pulled pork and chicken all delicious. This all came with a choice of sides; mac and cheese, corn and delicious coleslaw and corn bread. With banana and key lime pie puddings, 4 wines and 2 massive orange soda drinks the bill cam to 80 dollars which we thought was excellent value

Being a fan of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives I was keen to check out one of the places that had featured on the show and of the places nearby to where I was staying this was the place that got my taste buds going the most. Safe to say I wasn't disappointed - the baby back ribs were amazing, some of the best I've ever had. I wish we had BBQ this good back in the UK.

Delicious bbq! Everything we ordered tasted fresh and made to order. You get plenty of food and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back when I am in town.

Great service and delicious food! Worth a visit, the ribs and brisket were to die for! Head there early, a busy place!

There is ALWAYS a group of people waiting around on the street outside of this restaurant and there's a very good reason. Baby Blues serves food that tastes like they've got every great Southern barbecue cook in America in their kitchen. Since that's impossible it must be that they've got the good spirit of every great Southern chef in there at all times. It's authentic. The real deal. Full of soul. Whether you take-out of dine-in it's worth the wait. Makes your tummy oh so happy!

My 4th or 5th visit to this place. Always a fantastic experience. The Texas giant rib was fabulous. I'll come again

If you don't have tired Baby Blues BBQ and their ribs, yuo must! There can't be any better ribs. It brings you the meaning of life.

Great authentic food and fabulous friendly service with a smile and full explanations for what we did not know. It was a feast :-) and the cornbread was to die for!!!

I got the shrimp sandwich and a few sides. Each item tasted great and the bbq sauce was on point. They can get busy since they offer quality food so squeeze in early before the lunch crowds on the weekends.

I thought this would be a good smoke house. I was disappointed. Heavy food , I could only eat half and felt like I’ve consumed a million calories! Service good though.

Late lunch and had the razorback platter - baby-backs and pulled pork along with corn bread and mac n cheese. Added baked beans for a heavenly lunch. Sauces are great too.

Pulled pork was very moist and good flavor. Ribs were very dry, strong pepper flavor and no meat. Beef brisket also dry and peppery. The sauces were nothing special so I was very disappointed.

I'm not normally one for BBQ. It always seems to be dry and overly sweet. However, Baby Blues BBQ was one of the best lunches I've ever had. The food was truly to die for. Savory, perfectly seasoned and as tender as could be. Also loved the quirky location and will be sure to visit many more times.

Do not be scared by the building or appearance. The food here is really some of the best barbecue I have ever tasted. The building, location, utensils, plates and furniture are a tad off putting. Our daughter took us for dinner as she lives in Venice and this place fits right in to the Venice culture. Order the pulled pork and ribs. Sides of corn, cold slaw and beans are wonderful. The portions are huge and the price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. So be warned about the ambiance but remember you are going for barbacue!

Nice friendly staff, cool place and food is just amazing! Still dreaming about those baby back ribs. Next time I definitely want to try their pulled pork too 😋

Do you ever watch those travel cooking shows and wonder if they are as good in person as they appear on TV? Baby Blue BBQ lives up to what I saw on Diners, Drive-ins and Dive's. I went because of the beef rib I saw on the show. I wasn't disappointed. It was as big as it appeared on the show and the taste was unbelievable. Because I was carb loading for a marathon the next day, I had the mac and cheese and smoked rice for my sides. The mac and cheese was fantastic. The rice was the only thing that was not that impressive. Not only was I there to carb load but I was celebrating a milestone birthday. The waitress brought out a complimentary banana pudding for dessert. It was incredible. Now that they have multiple locations, you don't have to venture to the west coast to enjoy. They have one in Philly as well.

Delicious ribs that fall off the bone, with yummy sides and friendly staff. They're a local favorite and usually have a line but don't fret - it moves fast and it's well worth the wait. They've been voted Best of the Westside for years - and their awards are well deserved!! Yum ;)

Thai is a place that serves very good food! A place we got recommended from a local. We ate baby rack ribs and Tennessee ribs with 2 choice of side dishes with drink for 42 dollars. I deeply recommend this place and I would like to come here again.

The ambience is typical and the food was excellent, the staff is pleasant. we went to lunch, highly recommended!

In West Hollywood, a traditional style bbq restaurant. The staff were friendly and happy to assist with menu choices. The food was very tasty, messy and on point for a southern style BBQ meal. Meats were well smoked and the choices of BBQ sauces were good. The combo platers included two sides and a serving of cornbread which was very tasty. Would definitely recommend if you fancy some South smoked meats.....bring pants that expand ;-)

Tasty BBQ located in Venice Beach. The brisket is awesome, very, very, tasty "bark" on the meat and moist. Try the Chicken Smoked Rice for a side, absolutely amazing!

Delicious baby back ribs (I don't even eat ribs usually) that melted off the bone and spicy beef brisket. Plus they treated us to dessert on the house! Banana cream pie with cookies. A really authentic American experience for these Aussies! Thank you!

This is by far the best BBQ place I've ever been to. You will never get to devour smoked wings that tasty. And you have to try ALL the sauces!

Apparently, according to the concierge at our hotel there are not many Rib Restaurants in Santa Monica. He suggested Baby Blues and I am grateful to him. Thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and food and service. We did need to drive there but I am sure a taxi driver will know it. Certainly worth a visit.

My wife and I tried this place a year ago and I was not impressed with the food or atmosphere. We tried it again yesterday and I will never go back. Sitting on a vinyl chair with duct tape sticking to my legs was probably the best thing that happened. My family got a chuckle out of that. My daughter and I ordered brisket. It was greasy, stringy, full of fat and had zero bbq flavor. The only flavoring came from the sauces on the table. Neither one of us could finish the meal. Don't waste your time or money.

They deliver!! How did I not have this information? How have I lived in West Hollywood for seven years and never been privy to this?!?! Yesterday, a hot boy delivered brisket and hushpuppies to my door. Oh Baby Blues, you're my bestie. -Perfect, lean, flavorful brisket. -Fresh creamed spinach. -Corn on the cob that will make you question if it is really a veggie, because it is SO delish! -Hushpuppies that could not be better if they were made in Grandma's kitchen in Louisiana. Did I mention the hot delivery guy?

Went to dinner- 4 adults and a 2.5 year old. We had brisket both sliced and chopped and grilled shrimp. The sliced brisket was good, well smoked and seasoned albeit a bit dry.The chopped brisket didn't suffer from this. The shrimp was good, but too salty for my own taste. The sides - corn bread, mashed sweet potatoes, collard greens, baked beans, Cole slaw- were all fine to excellent. It's a casual place, fairly loud music, bustling on a Saturday night, but we were quickly seated. I'd be happy to go back again and sample some other items on the menu. If I lived nearby (instead of 3000 miles away) I'd probably be a regular.

Restaurant just beautiful we have very generous RIBS prices and especially excellent Congratulations to this restaurant and the staff very very kind

I went out to Baby Blues BBQ for take out today. I had the baby backs rib platter, with cornbread, potato salad, and hush puppies. The hush puppies came with a sweet sauce, which they didn’t really need (they were moist, sweet, and delicious without the sauce). I tried one with the sauce, and it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Your mileage may vary – my wife found them just right. The cornbread was pleasantly sweet, moist, and delicious. The potato salad was a good counterpoint to the cornbread and the hush puppies, clearing my palate for the main course, the baby back ribs. The bark on the ribs was excellent, just the right degree of smokiness, and the meat was sweet, moist and just falling off the bone. I only managed to finish off half of the half rack, however – there was enough food for a very hungry man. We went with their standard BBQ sauce – I’ve tried their “porno” (XXX) sauce, and it is way too hot for me (your mileage may vary – it was flavorful, but when they warn you about it being hot, they are not kidding). My wife had the Texas beef rib, potato salad, cornbread and hush puppies. The beef rib was tasty, and there is enough meat for her to easily have three meals off the rib. It was basically a roast with a stick through it. Again, everything was delicious. We were left with enough for another meal for me, and another two or three meals for my wife. On that basis, the price is rather low for the quantity of food provided. The value to cost ratio is quite good, as is the food at Baby Blues BBQ. Baby Blues is the best barbeque restaurant that I’ve been to in my life. And it is by no means the only BBQ restaurant I’ve been in. Definitely five stars, in my book.

Had lunch here on May 7 2018 based on the reviews. In my humble opinion Baby Blue BBQ is over rated. We ordered the Chopped Brisket sandwich and the Baby Back Ribs plus the sides. The meals were average, nothing more, nothing less. Service was good. Parking is a issue. You have to park across the street but they have Towing signs indicating your vehicle might be towed for unauthorized parking. The restraunt is not listed as authorized parking. I satisfied my curiosity eating there but I have no need to eat there again. This are just my opinion on my visit. I hope you enjoy your meal if you eat here.

Were visiting this adress (444 Lincoln Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90291-2829) today, place was closed, doors were locked. Big dissapointment, yesterday was looking the other adress in Korea town, wasnt find it from there as well. What the hell??????

My sons favorite place in town. Come here for a no frills best BBQ in town. Perfect service. Perfect food. Perfect BBQ.

Quick service, great menu, yummy food. The ribs were delish!! The corn bread wasn't to my taste, but I enjoyed nonetheless :)

They have a lunch menu. not too outrageous. good value. There are places better and worse. Pretty consistent

Visited with a bunch of guys on our first night in Venice for a good feed of USA BBQ and we were not disappointed. The smoky BBQ aromas stuck us as soon as we got out of the car and we all left satisfied after the ribs special washed down with a good selection of craft beers. Service was excellent. The building and seating was run down, but it just added to the atmosphere. Price was reasonable for the special (before 7pm). Well recommended.

Friends introduced me to this place, which is to say they insisted under punishment of friendship exile that I try Baby Blues. The severity of the punishment would have fit the crime! Restaurants are about the food, and this place can rest of its menu. Everything on it is delicious, in generous portions, and the staff is ex emotionally friendly. It is like going to the family cookout and your mom and aunts keep feeding you. Go, eat a lot, savor, and then bring your friends. Oh one more thing, if you're a veteran, make sure you mention it. They love our heroes.

Slap me silly but the pork was beyond heaven. It took me to whole new planet. Thge sauce i wanted to marry it. I am addicted to this place now!

After a marathon day of House of Cards we decided to finally leave the hotel and seek out the best BBQ we could find. Of course we didn't dine in because HOC was still waiting for us back in the room. I know, sounds pathetic. Who goes all the way to LA to stay in the room watching HOC. Someone who got hooked on the flight over, that's who! Anyway, needless to say this place did not disappoint It was moderately priced and they were generous with the portions. Cant say it's the best BBQ I've ever had because this is LA and Im from the south. But it served it's purpose in the moment!

We walked in and got seated quickly. A lot of people were enjoying their dinner. I was shocked to see that they had Shiner Bock beer on the menu. We ordered the ribs dish (Memphis Style & Baby Back Ribs) with two side dishes (Macaroni & Cheese and Mashed Potatoes). The ribs were so good. The meat basically fell off of the bone. Both types of ribs were great. But, we both preferred the baby back ribs. We were so happy after our meal. I highly recommend this place. I definitely will return again for its Baby Back Ribs.

I recently stopped at Baby Blues BBQ with my family during a weekend trip to LA. I love BBQ and have sampled great BBQ all over the country. I have to say that the sliced brisket I had at Baby Blues may have been the best I have ever ate. This is high praise from me, since my all time favorite BBQ is Texas brisket. The brisket at Baby Blues was incredibly moist and tender. Everything else we had was equally good: pulled pork. hot link, ribs... all great! I think this is now a "must stop" in LA for me.

First time there, got the butcher's platter to go. We loved the brisket, ribs, pork, everything. Great sides too, loved the macaroni and collard greens. If I had to complain about something I would have passed on the mashed potatoes. Everything else, terrific!

the aroma brings you in ..the food keeps you coming back..all the meats and shrimp were excellent..especially the texas rib!! amazing. the corn on the cob and the side...mac and cheese, greens, etc etc ...all above average.. staff and ambience is totally relaxed and welcoming. love this place!!

Anytime I am in the Los Angeles area I always want to go eat at Baby Blues...whether in Venice or W. Hollywood. They have great BBQ...but their corn on the cob is the best around. The entire meal was great. We had an early dinner.

We went with friends and everyone liked the food, the cornbread is the best I have ever tasted , super tender meats

The service is excellent. The food is good but not exceptional. Just because you have a dry rub doesn’t mean you have dry ribs. I think if you’re going to bring southern style BBQ to Southern California you should stay with the true Q and not try to localize. The portion sizes are good but the prices are pretty steep. We were over $100 for 3 people.

The place looks like a hole in the wall, but the lack of ambiance should not deter you. The rib was the best I've had on the west coast. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and I'd definitely come here again.

Reading the reviews I expected something special but left a bit dissapointed. The ribs were good, but the brisket was a bit dry and the portions were not so big. The staff was friendly

ok whats all the fuss the ribs are average , lots of fat and unpleasant stuff on the ribs , and not firm kind of a sloppy gooey messnot tasty , pretty average to me but whatver

Dinner with the family on the West side of LA. My daughter was looking for a Triple D (Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives) local close to Culver City. Baby Blue BBQ was 5 miles away. It took 20 minutes (that’s why we tell distance in time in LA). The mural of “Boss Hog” from Dukes of Hazzard is a classic and retro LA. Ambiance was definitely eclectic with the Johnny Cash surfboard and thankfully a fan circulating air. We asked our waitress Luna, “what is the OMG you have to have this?”...she said the Texas beef rib is their signature. A little pricey at $38 with two sides... she wasn’t lying! Arguably one of the best 10oz smoked ribs I’ve ever eaten (flavor and texture of a dinosaur sized short rib). It didn’t need sauce, but the XXX had a great combination of flavor and not too much heat. Service was slow for a Wednesday night, but the food was worth the wait...and drive. Thanks Guy Fierri for another DDD treat!

To be honest the only reason we decided to give this place a go was because of TripAdvisor! It looks like nothing from the outside but don't let that put you off. We had a half-rack of Memphis ribs and a burger - the coleslaw and collard greens with the meals were great as were all the different sauces you can have. Service was friendly and efficient and we will definitely be back! Yum!

My family first came to Baby Blues several years ago, when my parents lived in Santa Monica. Now I visit it most times that I am visiting LA and on the Westside, and it always hits all the right notes. We visited earlier this week and were seated without any wait (midweek at 7:30 ish). The baby back ribs were succulent, the coleslaw crisp with vinegar and sweetness and mayo balanced, and the cornbread thick and fragrant. For me the standout is always the creamed spinach, to this day the best I've ever had.

We sought out Baby Blues after hearing it mentioned during an episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. There were four of us and we all had different types of brisket sandwiches. While the place may be considered a "dive" all four of us agree that not only were the brisket sandwiches great, but the sides were also terrific, especially the cornbread. I would highly recommend Baby Blues and don't be put off by its appearance.

Had the baby back ribs which were amazing, fall off the bone meat and great flavour, sides were all home made and portions good sized. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and felt at home right away. Staff were friendly and helpful and service fast. Easy parking adjacent. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

From the South and Texas I'm not impressed easily at so called Bar B Q and Soithern food places around the Country Baby Blues is GREAT ! Baby Back Ribs, Brisket, and Sausage with their homemade sauce would make any Texan Happy But save room for "The Best Banana Pudding in the World". Can't describe the texture - it's remarkable! Good Eating 👍

On holidays from Australia and wanted to try some USA BBQ and Baby Blues was close. We got an Uber there and did not regrete it. The Memphis style ribs and brisket were perfect, loved all the sides. The meal was exactly what we wanted and filled our BBQ fix.

We had a pulled pork sandwich, as well as two types of pork ribs with mac n'Cheese, cole slaw, and baked bean sides. All the pork and ribs were so perfectly cooked with just enough seasoning to enhance the flavors not mask them. Multiple sauce options available in squirt bottles on the table made mixing and matching extra tastes just fun! The mac n'cheese with a variety of cheeses used in the makin is a must!

The pulled pork and ribs we got here were delicious. The meat was tender and fell of the bone. I like all their sauce option. The collard green was a bit salty but it was still good. The portion was generous, I couldn't finish my pull pork.

I had the beef ribs. But the pulled pork seemed to be a big hit. They have all kinds of stuff. It has a hollywood/country atmosphere lots of wood big wooden round tables. Service was good but not great, laid back. Lots of craft beers.

Amazing bbq place in Santa Monica.Visited this place twice during my visit and both the chicken and the ribs are really really good. Also recommend the spinach and the corn. And the key lime pie for dessert <3

Thought lunch here was tasty. Fried okra was excellent, corn bread good, pork and beans nice too and a surprising amount of meat. The memphis ribs and link sausage I had were good but I think I'd agree with some of the other reviews that they were a tad bland - need more seasoning (and smoke).

Having spent a week in Mexico followed by a week in Cuba we were craving fresh tasty food Baby Blues BBQ was definitely a 9.8/10. Great food, service and ambience. It certainly deserves its TA high rating AAA+++

A proper BBQ meal before leaving the continental united states has been one of my long-standing rituals. I usually travel to Asia and Europe where the standards of southern BBQ are appallingly low, and I would even argue that most folks have no idea what a proper southern BBQ is all about. This is my go-to spot in case I am flying out of LAX. One must keep at a minimum of 1.5 hours for a meal at this place if doing a quick meal when at LAX. Traffic on Lincoln Blvd can make the turnaround time look deceivingly short. Baby blues serves up some Memphis style BBQ and overall I was very happy with the quality and standard of the food. I had a platter of baby back ribs and pulled pork and just thinking about the meal makes me hungry. This is also one of the few places that serves up Shiner Bock beers.

Came here tonight as part of a large party. I would suggest reservations as it got very busy! I have the sliced brisket with collard greens and mashed sweet potatoes. The sliced brisket was just like tri tip- sliced long and served dry. Tons of sauces on the table- my favorite was XXX Porno. It was spicy and tasty!

Never heard of the place but was recommended by a friend. It has a wide variety of choices to satisfy anyone. We arrived at 1pm and the place was packed. Our food was served quickly and tasted great. My only complaint was the chicken was a little dry. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable and apologized for the chicken but we were fine. It is a good, inexpensive choice in Venice.

Extremely pricy for this kind of place. Casual and nice service with prices of a nice one. I ordered the pull pork and ribs. You can barely taste the smokiness in the meet. Flavorless. In their behalf I need to say that the bbq sauce was great and the variety of sauces are a nice to have. On the side the corn bread was not fully cooked and flavorless. The potato salad was fine until I start to get frozen potatoes in the bottom. They changed for coleslaw which was flavorless again. The Check came for $38. Not worth. Portions where big but just a waist because they where just ok. I’m a big fan of bbq and I can tell you that this not a good one. I used to live in Texas so I know what I’m talking about.

This is a cute little barbecue place only for when you happen to be in the neighborhood. There are some hits and misses on the menu depending on what you get. One example is the tri-tip. It’s tender, juicy, and comes in sliced pieces. The mac & cheese is thick, dry, and a little on the cold to room temperature side of things. The meat on the baby back ribs falls off the bone pretty easily and the sweet and regular barbecue sauces are pretty good. Once again I would not go out of my way to come to this place however, if you’re in the neighborhood it’s a good place to stop off at and eat.

We enjoyed outstanding servive. Help trying the draught beers before we ordered. Help with the menu and extras. Then the ribs , fabulous. Even help getting our ride back to our hotel BUT, to top it all, we were toofull to try the Banana pie. So the staff gave us a sample totake back. Unforgettable service and great kindness . We tried later on our hotel balcony, it was bliss THANKS

Much worse than West Hollywood sister Restaurant that closed. Wine in a metal can? Seriously?! No salads? Really? The service was TOO good - meaning the food came out within 90 seconds of ordering. No kidding. That means it was sitting in kitchen being kept warm. And the wings and the small half chicken indeed were not hot. Just warm. Cream spinach good. Beware of neighborhood. Between the marijuana seller next door, the empty lots, and the Street loiterers, I wouldn’t venture here after dark. This restaurants best days are behind it.

Informal environment with really good proposals! US classics but of great quality. Brisket, puller pork and, of course, the excellent ribs. Contours to improve. Prices in the norm of the place.
Best BBQ in LA
Spot on food, fantastic service and great atmosphere. First place on my list to visit when I come back to the city!
