What a great restaurant this is. Great staff and excellent food and a nice atmosphere. Was a great surprise as you would not expect this when you walk by.

I loved this place. There is quite a lot of variety on the menu. I loved the scallops and the beet salad and the brussel sprouts. The chef is Israeli, and there is some Middle Eastern influence, but I think it's more what I would call Cal-Mediterranean. There is a good-looking, happy crowd. There seemed to be several birthdays, and tables of large groups. There is a discreet entrance that leads to a beautiful courtyard with mature tree embedded into the walls. Prices are reasonable with most items ranging from about $9-20. I will definitely returning recommend to others.

One of five restaurants we tried in LA. Bacari on W 3rd was a standout. Enter through a little tunnel to a charming courtyard space. Great outdoor seating, with bar. We got lucky in our planning, BacariW3rd just opened the prior week. In LA we like to eat outdoors as much as possible, and this space was perfect, coupled with very good meal. Small plates/Mediterranean. Great ending to our latest LA trip. Jim Red Maps. Useful tip: Book your restaurants before you go, makes it much less stressful to figure out where to go each night.

I went to Bacari with a friend on a long weekend to LA and it truly is a gem! It's tapas-style food and very reasonably priced considering the quality. We started with a LITER of wine for just $40 and then shared the burrata, gorgonzola pasta, the brie & bacon pizza, and the chocolate mousse dessert. It was the perfect amount of food. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, and food was delicious. I recommend asking to sit in the courtyard!

We each ordered something different to share and then we ordered a few additional items. Tempest cocktail Grilled chicken breast Shawara tacos Sea bass Oaxacan pasta Baguette Salmon Bread pudding Double chocolate cake We recommend everything - all was delicious. Service was good and restaurant was hopping.

Beautiful spot. Was packed for a Sunday night at 6 and there is basically no room between tables so we pretended we were in France. We had great waiter with the patience of a saint for everyone's needs. I thought the food was just OK. The seabass, which was "highly" recommended was so overcooked it was leathery. The didn't bring us one order so I asked them to take it off the bill (we were done eating), but instead they brought it and we just left it on the table. On the flip side, the cauliflower was basically raw. The sauces were all pretty good. Food was reasonably priced, which is rare for 3rd street. Drinks are pricy and a regular glass of wine, which is supposed to be 5 ounces, is definitely smaller than that. Restaurants are definitely skimping on the pours in 2025. I really did appreciate the allergy accommodations from our waiter.

A friend recommended this tapas-style restaurant to me, so my daughter and I decided to give it a go. We were thrilled that we did! You enter through a brick, rounded tunnel into a cozy, charming outdoor courtyard. The lighting and tables are perfection (there is also indoor seating if you choose). The food equaled the ambiance. We shared a burrata caprese salad, Brussels sprouts, Gorgonzola pasta, petit filet, ceviche, and fried donuts served with caramel and lavender sauces on the side. I should also mention that the Pinot Noir was excellent! Great prices, too. We will definitely be back! Can’t wait to tell all of my friends about this spot!

Talk about an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! Transport yourself right to Europe through the most beautiful cobblestone tunnel tucked into 3rd St! A true hidden gem! The outdoor patio and ambiance is absolutely stunning! The food was phenomenal and the "best cake you've ever had" REALLY IS the best cake you've ever had!!! A must try!!!

The outside garden is a wonderful place, very peaceful and inviting. The food is fun and good. The Mediterranean flatbread is my favorite. The service is excellent and the server David really ensured everyone was happy with the food and experience.

The four of us were very impressed with our dinner at Bacari 3rd st. Every dish that came out was delicious, we particularly noted the brussels sprouts and the lamb hummus as well as the mushroom pizza. A must have is “the best cake” with ice cream. Our cocktails were well made and the service was very attentive. And to top it off, receiving the check wasn’t painful. Fun outdoor atmosphere and would definitely go again. Thank you!

Nice spot in LA, tasty food, good wine and cold but cozy place for dinning. Would reccomend although have not tried many alternatives in LA)

Had a really nice variety of food, got to try a bit of everything and really enjoyed it all. A cool vibe here too.

We had an unexpected experience in a charming hidden courtyard off bustling 3rd Street in LA. Make use of their Happy Hour from 5-7 which includes generous portions of Tapas. The menu is extensive with a delicious selection of food — from Burrata Caprese Pesto salad to grilled sea bass with corn and shishito peppers yo chicken breasts with crispy risotto and lemon jalapeño sauce. And don’t forget to order the “ Best Cake you Ever Had”. It was phenomenal and a great share among 4 people. We will be back on our next visit.

This is a new and charming little place on 3rd street in the old Sofi space. You enter the beautiful space through a brick tiled tunnel. Once through the tunnel an odd hallway where you have to search for someone to help you. Once you make it to the back you will be glad you came. The bar and dining room in the back are incredible. The food is pretty good and so are the drinks. Prices are very reasonable too. In fact, they have an all you can drink option that you can’t beat. Come for the space and drink and stay for the food. Service is pretty good too.

Great food and cute/romantic ambiance, but service is on the slower side. Came to Bacari for a night out with some girlfriends and had a blast! You enter the restaurant through a (very low ceiling) tunnel. The place is dimly lit by candles and hanging lights, which gives a perfect romantic vibe. Seating is all mostly outside, but the patio has heaters and a couple of trees wrapped in string lights with branches that cover above you. You definitely feel hidden as though you briefly stepped out of the busy LA streets. The service was a bit slow, but with the pandemic and possibly a staff shortage, it is to be expected at most places you go to… especially in LA on a Saturday night. Small portions when it comes to food but prices are reasonable ($9-$14) , so I recommend ordering at least 2 options to start. Drinks are unique and very tasty, you won’t be disappointed here. The pizza is a great option if you want to play it safe, a bit on the saltier side, but not to the point of ruining the meal. I LOVED the stuffed mushrooms; flavorful and juicy! The Mac and Cheese may look petite but this dish packs plenty of deliciously gooey flavor and elbow pasta enough to satisfy your hunger. Seared petit filet is a small entree but a fan favorite. And for only $10?? Don’t want to miss an opportunity like this! Overall, a great dining experience. If you haven’t eaten at Bacari, I suggest you make it your next spot to try out in LA!

The really inventive food was all a crowd pleaser. The service was phenomenal. Shoutout to Lucas who was so helpful friendly and attentive.

I've been here 5 times. But this last time was not doing it for the table. Here's where they are lacking big time: 1. They use CANOLA OIL! Their fryer uses canola oil, a very cheap, highly inflammatory seed oil used to cut costs in the food and restaurant industry. For having such an affluent vibe, this was very surprising to the table. Please replace this cheap oil with something healthier (and no, not vegetable oil). 2. TINY PORTIONS. Portions are good for children or 100 pound women. I swear, they have gotten smaller. I had the Chef's salmon this time and got about 4 oz of salmon and 3 slices of zucchini. It's a joke. An old picture of the same meal in early 2023 was a larger portion with more vegetables on the plate. I get it, they are smaller portions, but even my gf got the steak and it was 4 tiny slices. 3. Service is usually fine, but last visit last night we were left alone for most of the time. The corner table near the door was cursed, we were left without water and they didn't give us a drink we ordered and by the time the server came back dinner was over. He was knowledgeable on which dishes were GF, and VP so that was nice. 4. The delivered the main dishes to the table periodically. Like every restaurant ever: appetizers first, then main dishes for everyone. But no... Not Bacari on 3rd. They delivered every single dish 5 minutes apart. With 4 of us, we had to wait 20 minutes for the last person's entree to arrive so we can all eat. By then it was all cold except for the last person. COME ON.

Wow, what a great restaurant amidst corona. The service is super, the ambiance is elegant and the food is delicious. I had their pizza and loved it. It is of utmost importance that you get a table inside. It is a much more suitable environment. Call in advance to request it!

I really struggled with my rating for this restaurant. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and professional. My complaint was handled sympathetically and respectfully and with understanding. However one cannot escape that this establishment is, first and foremost, a restaurant and my friend and I visited here with the sole purpose of easting and left hungry and ended up paying for food elsewhere. Bacardi is not on the main street but rather tucked away up a little narrow lane. For me it is a destination restaurant as its on street presence is very understated however we heard the buzz of conversation wafting its way on to the street and so we decided to explore. The narrow lane opens up into a courtyard style al fresco dining experience where diners sit inside in a dimly lit bohemian style room or outdoors in a similarly lit courtyard but with lower walls and a substantial tree incorporated into the wall who's branches form the basis of canopy that covers the diners. It is an appealing and retro dining experience. There was a queue and so, after a quick glance at the menu, we went off to grab a drink and return. We came back about an hour later and managed to get a table. This restaurant is a tapas style experience and so we ordered four dishes to share - Chicken Tacos, Burger, Mac and Cheese, Pork Belly. The first dish - Chicken Tacos - arrived almost immediately which did not arouse a lot of confidence in me as to its freshness and it tasted as such. Verdict: A cheaply conceived and poor product, prepared en masse earlier and served cold. Poor. I know tapas can be served cold but tacos are usually served hot so a contradiction here. We ate it as were hungry, we had one each and they were small. The second dish - The Burger - Small. One. It tasted good but was small and we ate it in less than ten seconds. Verdict: Freshly cooked. Tasted good. Small. We then had a wait for the next dish. Again we were happy but the goodwill began to ebb away as the hunger began to increase. After about 45 minutes we felt compelled to as our server where our next dish was. He went to explore and soon enough...it arrived The third dish - Mac and Cheese - Salty to the point where my friend thought she felt like a slug. We called decided our server back to complain about our food. He took the dish away and shortly after the Manager (a very nice guy) arrived to have a chat with us. This is where the customer service kicked in as we were spoken to in a very lovely way. We were not made to feel like troublesome patrons but rather listed and understood. It was while the manager was there that... The fourth dish (arrived) - Pork Belly - Cremated. Dissolved into ash in your mouth. Disgusting. I asked the manager to come back and sample it. He declined and cancelled our bill minus drinks which we paid for. He offered to cancel the entire bill. I declined and paid for the drinks. Fair is fair and they were so great. Final verdict. The food is poor. The offer is not great. It is really stretching the boundaries of what constitutes tapas. I would prefer all of my food to arrive at the same or near enough the same time. Not individually in 30 minute windows. Our complaint however was dealt with admirably and respectfully. I have been in so many restaurants where staff could learn from the customer service at Bacari however the bottom line is food and this food experience was poor.

We chose Bacari West 3rd for our rehearsal dinner after experiencing their original restaurant, Bacari PDR. We visited and immediately loved the Mediterranean-style outdoor and inside area of West 3rd. We already knew the food would be good, but we weren't prepared for just how accommodating the staff, including Director of Operations Alex, would be for our event. Organising it with Alex was easy, and the package flexibility really helped us as we were on a budget. In the end, we were able to accommodate around 20 guests of family and friends in the indoor section of the restaurant, with their signature tapas-style menu (with dishes chosen by us presented on a personalised menu for everyone) plus gluten-free adaptations for my wife and my mother, and a free bar for an hour and a half. Food was served family style, with enough for everyone of each dish (eight dishes in all). As expected, the food was top notch, and we were very happy with our choices (try the smoked mushroom pizza, seriously - gluten free or otherwise, both are excellent). Service was exceptional throughout, and in the end, due to a bit of a delay in my family arriving, the bar remained free until the end of dinner. Everyone had an excellent time, and remarked on how good the choice of venue and the food was. The house wine, included in the free bar, was also very good. We then returned after our honeymoon for one last romantic meal before we were due to fly home to the UK. We just chanced rocking up, and were offered an outside table for about an hour and a half. The menu had altered slightly, as it's seasonal and depends on supply of ingredients, but all four dishes we tried were excellent (including that reliable gluten-free smoked mushroom pizza, but the Noa's cauliflower was delightfully spiced, while the petit fillet was expertly cooked). By the time our table deadline came around, we had only eaten two dishes, so we made ourselves available to be moved inside for the reservation, but the staff (whom had recognised us from the rehearsal dinner and we had told that we were having a last honeymoon dinner) refused and instead set up a new outside table for the reservation. They had already treated us to a free chardonnay each (the fizz was unfortunately off on this occasion) and we feel they went above and beyond for us. They were kind, courteous and checked in with us often to make sure everything was to our taste. Both the large party and our intimate experience were superb and we recommend to anyone considering a rehearsal dinner, birthday, or other celebration, or just for a date night. Do expect the place to be busy so reservations are recommended for your pick of outside or inside areas. The menu also changes so you can try myriad dishes on offer one week and find something new to try a few weeks later. The style and combination of casual and sophistication is very welcome. The staff were all wonderful and attentive. We will be returning, often, on our trips back to LA!

Went here as part of dinela. Their special menu was for 2, tapas, pear salad and yummy deserts. It’s located in a building down a long hallway off 3rd. It looks like a wine cellar. Used to be Sophie’s Greek restaurant. It was empty and quiet at 5:45 on Saturday but very busy and noisy about 7. Valet parking was$11!

While for the most part the food was good the atmosphere was extremely loud and the service was very slow. Our waiter apologized for all of the delays however it was difficult to overlook. We actually moved to another area because conversation could not be done with the amount of noise.

Firstly, I loved the vibe and fit out of the restaurant, kind of like you're in a treehouse with mood lighting. We started with the Salatim (dips and pita) at my cousin's recommendation - he describe it as a "must have" and I had to agree. The bread and the dips were all delicious, I'm normally a big hummus fan but in this trio I loved the vegan cashew pate the most! We also had the burrata, shwarma tacos and bacon and double brie pizza. All were super good, except the pizza was a bit of a let down. I felt like the pizza was one I could just quickly make at home, I didn't really taste the brie at all and the bacon was just burnt. For dessert we had 'the best cake you've ever had' (yes that's the name on the menu). It was pretty tiny, so I'd recommend one each, it was definitely nice but don't think I'd say it's the best cake I've ever had by a long shot. For drinks I had a Royal Blood and Strawberry Fizz, both were nice and well-made cocktails. As for service, it was good at the start but did drop off by the end and we had to really flag down out waiter. Overall, I'd be very keen to go here next time I'm in LA.

The ambiance here is 5 stars, be sure to sit outside and enjoy it. Food is good, not great and the service is excellent. Loved: cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, Bacari fries and the Gorgonzola pasta was a stand out. Didn’t care too much for the house sangria but the iced tea was great. Definitely recommend coming here for date night.

Absolutely beautiful! Prices are cheap and portions were perfect! The atmosphere and lighting were breathtaking! Highly recommend eating here if you get the chance! I would eat here weekly if I lived here!

Went for DineLA week and was excited to try. Totally impressed by the whole experience. First where we made a reservation was not available so they moved us to another area and offered us free drinks for the situation without us even complaining. Our waiter Jordan made the whole experience amazing. Everything we ordered was good and will absolutely be back.

Shareable, small plates restaurant with twinkling lights on the patio and smooth sangria. Came here for a work dinner in a group of 14 and there was some confusion about whether or not we had a pre-fixe menu, but ultimately we had the servers pick about of their popular 8 dishes and determine how many servings to bring out. We also did the 90 minute open bar option for $25/person, which our waitress suggested since it’ll pay for itself if you get at least two drinks. You have the option to pick from sangria, the house white and red wines, as well as sparkling wine. There isn’t any hard alcohol but they do also have beer. The sangria was really smooth but not too sweet; it definitely slides down easily. Some thoughts on the food - Burrata caprese - solid albeit safe choice for an appetizer - burrata was creamy and the tomato’s were fresh, but wish there was more bread Bacari fries - the cut is similar to McDonalds and comes with an egg over easy on top Gorgonzola pasta - one of the table favorites - the pasta was really soft and the Gorgonzola taste wasn’t too overbearing Brussel sprouts - there wasn’t a lot of the pomegranates so it wasn’t as avant-garde as it’s made out to be but nice way to get some greens Stuffed mushroom - my personal favorite - I like how the meatiness of the mushroom offsets the tomato sauce and cheese within so it’s kinda like a bagel bite but with mushroom as the crust Margherita pizza - a bit bland and the crust was a bit cardboard-y Smoked mushroom pizza - a bit better than the margherita in terms of flavor but same comment about the crust Seated petite filet - it only comes with four pieces so definitely order more than you think for a group, but it was the other table favorite The best cake you’ve ever had - not the best cake I’ve ever had, but definitely really good. It paired really well with the vanilla ice cream and I liked the undertones of dates Doughnuts - not my favorite - the doughnuts weren’t chewy enough and the accompanying sauce had no flavor The plates are small so definitely order a lot more than you think for a larger group. It’s metered street parking (the neighborhoods around it are mostly permit parking). Service was nice although it was busy that night so they were rushed. Overall, it’s a cute restaurant and good for an intimate dinner.
Dinner at Bacari
I had Dinner at Bacari. The place is very romantic and cozy. The service is great. I liked most of the dishes we order. I’ll be back.
